Then wonder no more! The fine folks at Vanity Affair will help answer this question. They were able to get in the booth with Sarah Natochenny as she takes you behind the scenes on the Pokemon dub as Ash and Delia.
This video takes you through a step-by-step process of how the anime transitions from Japanese to English . You even get to hear a piece of the anime in the original Japanese language with background music. Sarah and the crew go over how they have redo lines and change them to fit mouth flaps. Even go as far as add in extra words in order to make the line work just right.
