Worlds at Anaheim
Players going to Worlds in Anaheim finally have all the details for a great event!

Players attending Worlds 2017 now have the details for the event. Worlds will be located in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center from from August 18–20. The event will be invitation only where only the best of the best from the 2016-2017 season will be allowed to compete. There will be a TCG, VGC and Pokken Tournament competition.

Those who receive a Worlds invite will be asked to registrar online. All competitiors will be given a Welcome Kit, competitor badge, lanyard and one spectator badge for a guest or parent/guardian. Players who need more then one spectator badge are being asked to purchased extras online.

If you plan to attend Worlds 2017 as only a spectator then you will need to purchase a spectator badge. It will cost only $10 and they can only be purchased online. You will receive two TCG booster packs when you pick up your badge at the event.

Worlds 2017 will also give you the chance to compete in the Pokken Tournament Last Chance Qualifier. If you plan to take part in the Pokken LCQ then you will need to registrar for the event by paying $30 dollars. Registration will provide players a badge for the event, an additional spectator badge for those under 18 and six TCG booster packs.

The Pokken Tournament LCQ will be the last chance for players to qualify for the World Pokken Tournament Championships. The tournament will take place on Friday, August 18th and will be a double elimination tournament. The top four players will earn a spot to take part in the Pokken Tournament Championships on Saturday.

Lastly, Worlds 2017 will be hosting the Anaheim Open. This tournament is a special event that allows players the chance to earn points for the 2017-2018 season. This is a Regional level event and will award points as if it was a Regional.

If you wish to registrar for the Anaheim Open then it will cost $30 for Masters Division players and $15 for Junior and Senior Division players. Players will receive tickets for the prize wall for entering. Registration will be online only and only half of the seats for each division will be available beginning in mid-July 2017. If that number is reached during that time then registration will be closed for that age division. The remainder of the seats will be available on Friday, August 18th at 7pm for competitors who do not make Day 2 for Worlds.

The TCG component of the Anaheim Open will be using Standard format. That will be Primal Clash to Burning Shadows at the times of Worlds. Remember, Burning Shadows will be legal for tournament play just in time for Worlds 2017.

The VGC component will be using the 2017 Championships Series format.
