Regigigas is coming to Pokemon GO along with the Regi Trio!
That is right! Regigigas is coming to Pokemon go along with the chance to catch Shiny variants of Regice, Registeel and Regirock.
Those who want Regigigas can expect to see the Colossal Pokemon in EX Raids starting late November. Though, if you want a chance to get Regigigas early then get ready for Special Research!
Regigigas and A Colossal Discovery
Those who you want a get Regigigas early can take part in the A Colossal Discovery special research. For the first time, Pokemon GO trainers will need to pay in order to take part in special research.
The “A Colossal Discovery” special research will cost $7.99 for a ticket in the shop. This ticket can be redeemed on November 2nd, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Once redeem, you can take part in the Colossal Discovery special research. If it is not completed during the day then the special research will change but the rewards will remain the same.
A ticket to the Colossal Discovery event will allow trainers to take part in a unique experience during the time frame. Though, there is no set location where you need to be. Below are some features of the special event.
- A new Special Research story event, featuring an early-access encounter with Regigigas, appearing in Pokémon GO for the very first time!!
- A Colossal Discovery medal
- Up to 10 additional Raid Passes at no cost during the Special Research story event time period when you spin a Photo Disc at a Gym. These Raid Passes will not be available after the event period is over. You cannot hold more than one Raid Pass at once.
- A Unova Stone, a Sinnoh Stone, and an exclusive avatar pose (Click to see) from conducting the Special Research
Tickets to this event will be nonrefundable.
Ticket sales for this event will go live soon. Below are the details on how to purchase a ticket for the Colossal Discovery event.
- Tap on the Learn More button in the shop.
- Tap on the Purchase button.
- You will then receive a pop-up indicating that you have received a ticket for A Colossal Discovery. Once you click OK, the ticket will appear in your Item Bag.
- Before the event, you will receive a medal. When the event begins and you open the app during the event time, you’ll receive access to the Special Research titled A Colossal Discovery.

Return of the Regis
The Regi Trio will be making a return to 5 Star Raids. Starting on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, November 4, 2019, you can expect the Regi Trio in raids. This is in conjunction with the Colossal Discovery event.
Below are some features to the return of the Regi Trio.
- Regirock, Regice, and Registeel will be available to encounter in five-star raids.
- The following Pokémon will be appearing more often in the wild: Geodude, Magnemite, Swinub, Aron, and Spheal.
- The following Pokémon will be hatching more often from Eggs: Aerodactyl, Shuckle, Sneasel, Skarmory, Snorunt, and Beldum.
- If you’re lucky, you might encounter Shiny Skarmory, Shiny Regirock, Shiny Regice, or Shiny Registeel!
You can also expect 2x Egg Incubator bonus during this time period.
