Find out what is spawning and when!
Just a day before the Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto Event commences, we finally get detail as to what will be spawning during each themed hour. Raid and Research exclusive Pokemon were also announced. Read on to find out what you can expect to find so you can be better prepared for the day.
Each hour of the event will be themed after various locales found in the Kanto Region. The spawns for each are as follows:
- PALLET TOWN 9a.m.-10a.m. ; 2p.m.-3p.m.: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Caterpie, Weedle, Pidgey, Rattata, Spearow, Pikachu, and Zubat
- PEWTER CITY 10a.m.-11a.m. ; 3p.m.-4p.m.: Nidoran Female, Nidoran Male, Clefairy, Paras, Diglett, Geodude, Magnemite, Onix, Voltorb, and Rhyhorn
- CERULEAN CITY 11a.m.-12p.m. ; 4p.m.-5p.m.: Jigglypuff, Psyduck, Poliwag, Tentacool, Shellder, Krabby, Horsea, Goldeen, Staryu, and Magikarp
- FUCHSIA CITY 12p.m.-1p.m. ; 5p.m.-6p.m.: Venonat, Abra, Ponyta, Grimer, Gastly, Drowzee, Exeggcute, Koffing, Omanyte, and Kabuto
- POKEMON LEAGUE 1p.m.-2p.m. ; 6p.m.-7p.m.: Machop, Slowpoke, Doduo, Seel, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Jynx, Eevee, Porygon, and Dratini
Select Pokemon are only available in Raids. Those Pokemon include:
- RAIDS: Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, Tauros, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo
As previously announced, some Pokemon will only be found through Special Research. We know have the full list of them here:
- SPAWINING THROUGHOUT EVENT: Cubone, Lickitung, Chansey, Tangela, Lapras, Ditto, Aerodactyl, and Snorlax
As a reminder, the following Pokemon are version exclusive and can only be caught if you purchased the ticket for that version and are using an incense. Also listed are Pokemon that will have boosted Shiny rate for each version.

- INCENSE: Ekans, Oddish, Mankey, Growlithe, Scyther, and Electabuzz.
- BOOSTED SHINY: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pidgey, Ekans, Pikachu, Nidoran F, Oddish, Diglett, Mankey, Growlithe, Ponyta, Shellder, Drowzee, Krabby, Hitmonlee, Lickitung, Scyther, Electabuzz, Eevee, Kabuto, and Dratini
Green Version
- INCENSE: Sandshrew, Vulpix, Meowth, Bellsprout, Magmar, and Pinsir
- BOOSTED SHINY: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pidgey, Pikachu, Sandshrew, Nidoran M, Vulpix, Meowth, Psyduck, Bellsprout, Geodude, Exeggcute, Hitmonchan, Koffing, Tangela, Horsea, Magmar, Pinsir, Eevee, Omanyte, and Dratini
Players will also receive 9 free raid passes from gyms that day as well as a free box containing 3 Remote Raid Passes and 200 Pokeballs.
