So I'm torn between trying to do the following two ideas:

1. Kanto league where you defeat the gym leaders to earn badges for your post bit. The battles will be like in challenge #5: http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?10781-TEAM-CHALLENGE-5-Some-much-needed-training! Prizes will be given out for beating gyms.

2. Gyms like in Pokemon GO. If you defeat a gym that your team currently holds, you can add one of your Pokemon to defend it. If you defeat a gym that your opponent holds, you can remove a Pokemon that defends it (or you just get to claim the gym for your team, I'm not sure yet). The battles will like in challenge #5. This might get crazy but it could also be fun. xD Prizes will be given out for holding gyms for a certain time??

So tell me what you prefer (if any)!

Both at once? I think the regular Gym Battles in 1# might be more feasible for EVERYONE'S sakes, though. There's no way anyone will hold it for more than a minute unless there's some HP mechanic in place for 2#.

I think a pre-set Kanto league would be a lot easier to manage and would be less confusing! But, at the same time, I feel like anyone with a bunch of Pokemon could blow through every gym in a matter of minutes.

The battling system is too basic to allow for one team to own a gym for any amount of time, so the league would have to be the way to do it.

The way the Go gyms are handled is quite unique. It'd be tough to manage a similar way here by creating a battle mechanic in a similar way since its AI controlled. You also wouldn't be able to rely on that person or that group to be able to just jump up and be ready for battle. So I feel as if the Kanto battle style (pre-set) would be the easiest. If you went to attempt a Go style one (maybe just one on the side to test and see what we can come up with) then that sounds good too, but as for a main event? The Kanto gyms sound great to me.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I agree with your concerns. :) I think we'll go with the Kanto gym league!
