NOTE: Not anime. That's for this thread (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?368-What-anime-are-you-watching-right-now). <:

This can be for any TV show--cartoon, live action, webseries, etc.

I've gotten back into Suits and I love it to biiiiiits. Been binging season five because I am behind. I am soon to start season six. c:

Ah yes! Another one that was on my list. I should do that. c: I've heard mixed things but I feel like I'll think it's good. I watched this show called Alphas a few years back and I have a feeling that it'll be similar to that...or maybe I'm wrong. But I'll see!

I think Ash's blunders are the reason why I just stopped watching the anime. I don't mind a character starting off inexperienced and lost. It's normal and their development over a storyline build their character. Problem is, Ash doesn't mature, he hasn't changed, he doesn't develop as a character, he doesn't learn, and his past experiences have no bearing on where he is now. As a result, I found myself never able to root for him. Quite the contrary, I found myself rooting for his adversaries because I often felt at times Ash simply didn't deserve to win and felt his blunders should cost him. And shortly after that, I just stopped watching.

I only watched the Steven Stone episodes of the anime recently. Origins is my favorite pokemon anime tho, because it is legit, unlike Ash's adventures.

But I'm rooting for Ash in this league battle, he needs a win.

Is Game of Thrones any good?

Depends on what you like and what you're looking for. GoT is pretty deep and it does get pretty graphic very often. It does have a few fantasy themes, but it's a bit more mild on those terms than some other fantasy movies you might have seen. Think of it as a very dark, gory, and gritty Lord of the Rings with a lot more blood and guts, sexual themes, and swearing. If you think you'd be good with that, you'd probably like Game of Thrones.

You will have characters you like and characters you hate. But trust me, GoT shows no favor upon anyone. EVERY character goes through plenty of personal hells and many of them don't make it. But that's what keeps it so damn interesting and fascinating.

I hate all that mature rated stuff and I would never watch anything like that normally. GoT is the most graphic thing I have ever watched (and I still close my eyes at a lot of parts xD). But I watch it cos the story is good! So I guess that's how good it is. xD

Yeah, if there's going to be gore, it needs to be justified and not just have dismembering and guts launching all over the place. Trust me, if a series just uses gore factor as a substitute for good storytelling, I'll see right through it. But yeah, GoT's storyline is very unpredictable and filled with intrigue and suspense. Sometimes the gore feels a bit unnecessary, but there are times where it wouldn't have felt quite as complete and horrifying without it, thus losing it's effect. I'm definitely not going to mention any moments in particular to avoid spoilers, though, but there were quite a few parts like this.

Knowing you and what you like, I think you'd be really into it. There's still plenty of time to binge-watch the previous seasons to catch up with the rest of us. Try giving it the three episode test and if you like what you see, you'll love the rest.

Let's see most recently I'd started watching Archer a few months ago after someone I worked with was talking to me about it. I noticed it's on Comedy Central during the day on Mondays so I figured I'd give it a go, and I haven't been disappointed. I also like that the more I watch it, the more I notice how often I've heard Archer's voice in other shows (including my personal favorite, his role as Mothmonsterman in ATHF)

Westworld for sure, and American Gods, such a tripped out show but that sucked me in super quick, The Magicians, Black Matter, Bosch and Man in the High Castle on Amazon, and of course GoT, though that's gonna be a while q.q. Juni Taisen. The pacing is a bit odd but I like that they spend about an episode per character to develop them. I think the show could benefit from being a bit longer in length because of this but the cast of characters is quite unique and interesting. It’s essentially the hunger games with the Chinese zodiac signs, which is quite interesting a concept and does well in execution. The only problem is if you know anything about the zodiac cycle you can predict the deaths pretty quickly which does take some of the fun out of it.

I've recently started watching the first series of both Andromeda and Charmed. Andromeda's pretty standard Sci Fi so far, and Charmed is reminding me of early Smallville, but with three superpowered characters instead of one. (And Phoebe's power keep making me want to play Xenoblade again.)
I have also almost finished re-watching Digimon Adventure, two episodes to go I believe. (I wish Tri wasn't Ł16 an episode, way too expensive!) Thinking about starting on Persona 5: the Animation next.

Just finished Juni Taisen so I'm watching some shows I have taped. InHumans is pretty good. Kinda cliche but overall I like that one of the main characters has to use a form of sign language. It makes for very interesting scenes.

Just finished Castlevania AND IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD. Oh my gosh, such beautiful animation and a great cast. A lot of gore, but the show was very enjoyable. c: I've never played a single Castlevania game. xD Highly recommend!

I may have to check it out soon! :0 man I have too many things piled on my list now xD

I’m slack. Pretty much all I’ve been watching has been Supernatural and The Orville. Yeah I’m boring, but I enjoy them :)

If it helps it's only 4 episodes for the first season and 8 for the second. They're doing a third season but for now it's fairly short. :)

I haven't watched either, but I have friends who love Supernatural.

Just finished watching season 2 of The Gifted (Great show, you should all go watch it.)
And by complete coincidence, season 3 of Miraculous begun right as the Gifted ended, so now I'm watching that, along with the last season of Andromeda (Which is kinda like a totally different show to the previous four seasons. :/) and season 5 of Charmed. Oh and season two of Runaways.

Currently watching The Last Airbender again...

WHY AREN'T YOU WAITING FOR ANIME CLUB??????

BECAUSE BY THE TIME WE GET TO WATCHING IT IN ANIME CKUB I WILL WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN ANYWAY SO I KIGHT AS WELL WATCH THROUGH IT NOW FOR THOSE FEELS.

Also lowkey I always remembered how terrible Book 1 was by comparison to book 2 and 3 and I am still struggling to get through it. I binged the first eight episodes last night, but am not looking forward to certain episodes such as The Great Divide and that one with the fortune teller woman...

What! How could you say that? Book 1 is great! I love the Kyoshi Island one! I don't remember the fortune teller one (and I'm SAVING IT) and I don't remember that other one being bad.

THE FIRST SEASON IS FULL OF THEM JUST LEARNING BASIC LESSON. KYOSHI ISLAND HAS SOKKA LEARN NOT TO BE A MYSOGINIST. THE WATERBENDING SCROLL HAS KATARA LEARNING TO SHARE. THE GREAT DIVIDE IS 100% FILLER THAT HAS NO IMPACT ON THE SERIES WHATSOEVER.

Still like it but it's definitely the worst.

First season was just a warm up. Once things get really deep in Book 2. Yeah it gets way better. It’s like the kids side of Nick was in full control over Book 1 is all.

Yes yes yes! Love Stranger Things, thoroughly enjoyed season 3. Curious what they'll do for 4, because it really felt like things for well wrapped up.

I'm watching Schitt's Creek on Netflix. It's become one of my favorite shows; it is hilarious!

Besides that, also watching Stranger Things and Peaky Blinders.

I just finished watching The Witcher, The Mandalorian and His Dark Materials. They were all really great! I really loved HDM, I think they did a great job adapting it!

So, I watch quite a lot of stuff at once, alternating, but right now four things spring to mind:

She Ra. Tis cool. All my favourite characters are part of the horde though...

Also Re-watching Avatar The Last Airbender. Certain parts are a lot better than I remember, so I'm glad I did.

Farscape. A Sci fi show with much better aliens than most, due to working with Jim Henson studions to make puppets instead of CGIing everything. Also it doesn't allways follow a status quo, which is nice for this genre.

Downton Abbey. Three seasons in and I still can't remember half the cast's names. :P

My friends are coming over this evening to finish up Good Omens.
We're also watching His Dark Materials and I alone am watching A Discovery of Witches although both of which however are currently off-season.

just watched severance - interesting concept there, and now watching peripheral - another interesting sci-fi :D
altered carbon was cool too

the witcher was great as well, read all the books. Mandalorian cool, coming back to what star wars were, andor now was decent as well, at least compared to latest movies :D
