Was there ever a movie or a game (or something else) that you wish there was a sequel to, but there wasn't?

I ALWAYS wanted a Sonic Adventure 2 sequel, or continuation. But nope...there was never one. :c Just other Sonic games that were never as good and didn't follow the same formula. xc

Ori and the Blind Forest BADLY needs a sequel. Sadly, one the devs mentioned the chances of that are very unlikely.

I still need to play this! I think a lot of indie games could use a sequel...since game sequels tend to be better than movie sequels. xD

You definitely need to give it a try. It's a very artistic and beautiful platformer with great music and a very likable and adorable protagonist character. I really think you'd like it. :3

I think I would too. c: I'll wait for steam sales to grab it though. ;) Also have you played Mass Effect? It is my all-time favourite game franchise (aside from Pokemon, though they're very close...) and there have been repeated instances where I've thought to myself, "Neo would love this. I gotta ask him." XD

Pokemon Snap 2 .... There is so much you can do with that kind of game now. Everything from using the Wii U game pad to taking photos of pokemon you snap capture in the game to giving you more actions shots outside of the game. Most of the game could stay in game and feature new areas and new pokemon! But as a bonus a pokemon go based feature to get people taking pictures while they are out and about.

Oh yes, true. They could even do a 3DS version with the camera. c: Not that it'd be as good as in-game scenery but still. I think they hoped that Pokemon Go would serve as a "sequel". xD

I keep hearing about it, but I confess, I haven't played anything in the series. I'll admit I haven't played a single Assassin's Creed game either. XD

One of these days I really should give it a try.

It gets really cheap during Steam sales, so grab it during one of those. IMO, Assassin's Creed can't hold a candle to Mass Effect. (Though in fairless, they're completely different games or differing genres.) ME2 is my favourite, and 3 is amazing as well (though a lot of people hated the ending). While playing the first game, it becomes evident that Bioware was learning the ropes for the type of gameplay and cinematic scenes they wanted for the series. It's handled a lot better in ME2 and ME3, and the first game has more RPG elements (making it more repetitive xD).

But yes, do! I promise you won't regret it. c:

I played the first assigns creed 1 it was cool. I wish it had stuck but really I kind lost interest. My best friend loved the series.

Pokemon Go was to much at once. WHile its still popular the game doesnt give enough to keep people playing for a long period. It doesn help give a template for Pokemon Snap on the go!

Next Steam sale, sure thing. I think the next closest Steam sale is around Black Friday, so it might be a little while. There's certainly no drought of other games to play in the meantime. XD

So then NO...just leave it as a game you play from the console! Plus it would earn some pretty good money for whatever system its made for.

Anime sequels that need to happen but never do. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, SPICE AND WOLF. And Angel Beats. Also Fruits Basket, cause the anime barely scraped the surface of the manga and that makes me depressed.

Black Friday is November 25th, the day right after Thanksgiving. People go nuts over sales and all that jazz. I stay safely inside and just check out the stuff online.

But yeah, Steam sales are bliss. I'm sure I'll probably be able to pick up the whole trilogy for less than $10. They're usually that good.

Riiight. I knew it was something to do with something...or something.

They are! And yeah...except that Mass Effect 3 isn't on Steam because EA had a spat with Valve and they decided to have it exclusively on Origin. -_- ALSO the game functions a lot better with all the expansions/DLC...meaning more money. Ugh. Once you get them, I'll give you a list of must-have DLC packs and then the less important ones. xD Unfortunately you can't get all the DLC on Steam...you have to go through Bioware. Ugh.

The originally intended Monkey Island 3! I know that's cheating, as there have been three games since the second one, but they were led by different teams. A Ron Gilbert third installment would have been better...

In a similar vein, Dungeon Keeper 3! We can blame E.A. for this, like so many of the gaming world's ills. War for the Overworld is the spiritual successor, and a good game, but it just lacks... something that made the original games so special.

Lol well Charmander or Commander Shepard aren't gonna be in the new games. Pretty sure it comes out next year. <: Hopefully before midyear...so we have less than 12 months to go. xD (I'm trying to sound hopeful...)

Pokémon Snap definitely deserves a sequel. It's criminal that Nintendo didn't release Pokémon Snap 2 on the Wii U, because it was the absolute perfect platform for a game like that. I'd also like to see a sequel to Colosseum/XD, in addition to a vastly improved sequel to Pokémon Dash, because the idea of a Pokémon racing game has immense potential. A PokéPark sequel that plays a bit like Stadium but with PokéPark's battling mechanics would be amazing as well. A new Ranger sequel would be great too. Basically, every Pokémon spin-off needs a sequel. :3

I'd also quite like to see a Super Mario Galaxy 3, because the Galaxy games are my favourite of the 3D Mario games. There was just something about running around little planetoids that made the games just so different to all of the others. :)

I'm in exactly the same position. Adventure: DX and Heroes are my favourite Sonic games, so to see neither get sequels in recent years (because obviously Adventure 2 is a sequel to Adventure and its DX edition) is devastating, especially because I don't like the 'boost' games anywhere near as much.

I like that you said criminal. Also i agree, based on how the wii utilizes the handheld it would work great.

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Pretty much, the game begins with one plot, goes on a tangent to the main plot, and then picks up the first one again three seconds before the credits. You can't end a game with "to be continued" and then not make a sequel! The same applies to Rhythm Thief, which while working pretty well as a stand alone, had many plot threads left hanging, including one that was obviously pointing to a sequel. Nad a bonus chapter in which one character discovered some huge secret about the bad guys, but then the chapter ends before the player discovers what it is. :/

I still have hope - dwindling hope, but it's still there - that they'll do something to honour the Adventure games at some point, possibly for 2018 or 2019, which would mark the 20th anniversaries of the Japanese and American releases of the first Adventure game, respectively.

I was also bummed when I heard S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was canceled, because the first trilogy of games was fantastic. Those games played a lot like Fallout, minus some of the humor and absurd weapons, but they were still very good and very atmospheric in a very post-apocalyptic setting. They were also a good challenge and there were a few jumpscares at times, but they were definitely great games with lots of hidden extras to discover.

Haha...I have no hope. Even if they do bring it back, it won't be like it was in the olden days. ;~; I wish they made a kickass chao raising system again! I don't know why they haven't when it's been so highly demanded. x__x And yeah, true, but I don't think they're going to do it still. xD They could have done it for the 10th anniversaries, and they didn't. :<

Yeah, exactly; the disastrous '06 might be the closest we get to an Adventure game that isn't an actual Adventure game, which is depressing to say the least. I loved the Chao Garden, and I'm devastated that it hasn't been in games for over a decade (apart from Sonic Chronicles, in which it didn't let you race them and so on). A lot of people online want the Chao Garden back though, even if they don't like the Adventure games as a whole.

I really wish Nintendo would make sequels to something other than Mystery Dungeon xD I like them but there are so many other cool games. The TCG games for instance! The first one was so fun and made me wanna play the real card game. Pinball was always really fun too. STADIUM! Man it would be perfect for the Wii U or whatever which is supposed to be all multiplayer parties! And Snap 2 is an obvious one. I think Trozei was one of the least popular games yet they made Battle Trozei and Shuffle. Same with Pokemon Rumble yet we got two sequels to that. They must just be easy to make or something :P I mean I do like them all but still!

I enjoyed Rumble but it got boring. It doesnt feel like they are ever going to invest any real money in a true full scale pokemon story on the big system. Its been side games the longest time. I would expect to see a second pokemon fighting game before a stadium type game.

I deeeeeefinitely want another Stadium. I LOVED Pokemon Colosseum so another game similar to that would be amazing! I don't understand why there haven't been amazing, mind-blowing pokemon games for Wii U. It just doesn't make sense. They have the time, they have the resources, and they have the interest. Are they afraid that it's going to become less popular once a few years have passed and a new gen gets released and they're not included in the game because it's already out?

I also loved the Pokepark series. Both were a lot of fun! I always wanted a game where you were a pokemon (PMD is great, but that aspect wasn't as satisfying as playing in a 3D world as an oshawott swimming around) and interacted with other pokemon. It was kind of like several minigames put together, but it was a lot of fun and I think fans loved it too. I get that Pokken was meant to be a pokemon fighting game, but it would be so much cooler if you could roam around a world AS a pokemon, kind of like Pokepark but more of an RPG than a cute side game.

maybe they are afraid pulling focus from the 3ds is unwise since it makes more than the big system does. Though I think pokemon fans in general would pick up a new Stadium type game. I wonder if the sales of those two games have been the reason they didnt work on a third.

Yeah but they already have heaps of great games on 3DS. How many on Wii U? I mere handful. It's not known for any one thing. Maybe SSB, bu that's also on 3DS. They need something to make people buy it. Lol. Did Stadium 1 and 2 not sell well?
