This challenge will lead you to the legendary bird which represents your team. Many parts of this challenge will be INDIVIDUAL, because to capture Articuno you must PARTICIPATE in the challenge. Articuno is not a team prize. Good luck!

It seems you have come to the end of a long journey. You arrive on Ice Island and stand before the shrine of Articuno. Around you the tossing waves leap angrily at the rock. Something seems amiss, but you have come too far to go back.
Behind the shrine is a large gate, and beyond that, steps extend upward, before leading into a cave. You can't see any further into the darkness. The wind blows angrily at your clothes.
There is a carving on a plaque next to the shrine.
TRAINER BEWARE,
BEYOND LIES A BEAST OF LEGEND,
ITS CRY MORE TERRIBLE THAN THUNDER,
BREATH MORE DEADLY THAN FIRE,
CLAWS SHARPER THAN A BLADE OF ICE.
GO FORTH IF YOU DARE.
BUT DO NOT LOOK BACK,
LEST YE BE LOST.
There is a puzzle underneath. It seems you will need to complete it in order to get through the gate.

Complete: The Nonexistent Tazz, Noblejanobii, Scytherwolf, Shieldbearer, Blaquaza, Homura
You finish the puzzle, and the gates to the shrine swing open. As you begin to walk up the stairs, the chopping of a helicopter's blades can be heard above the roar of the ocean. A black, mechanical beast lurches down below the grey clouds. A bright red R is painted on its side. You run toward the cave before you for cover, hoping you haven't been spotted.
The cave slopes downward. Behind you, the helicopter is struggling to land on the island. You don't have much time...
You run down the path, but it's too late, someone has been here before you!
"What do you think you're doing here, kid? Go back while you still can!" Someone yells from in front of you.
Then the Pokemon attack. A Golbat swoops down on you, causing you to drop to your knees.
Laughter echoes through the cave.
"Solve this riddle and I'll let you go, for now... Otherwise, you can take me on!"
It seems you have a choice!
CHOICE 1: FIGHT!

On one side of the river is a Pidgey, an Ekans and a Caterpie. You must transport all three safely to the other side, but only one will fit in your boat at a time. If you leave the Pidgey and Ekans together on one side, the Ekans will eat the Pidgey. If you leave the Caterpie and Pidgey together, the Pidgey will eat the Caterpie! How many total trips across the river will you need to make in order to get all three Pokemon safely across?
