I was happy to see (when I was checking Facebook this morning for memes) some awesome Nintendo related news in the form of the new Switch! Formerly known as the NX, the Switch is a portable gaming console. This means that it can be used as a regular home console with a TV, or taken on the go, sort of like a Wii U tablet. And what's even better, is that there's shown to be third party support somewhere along the lines, as you can see Skyrim being played as well. There's also been talk of a new Pokemon game (perhaps a spin off?) in development for the Switch.

I'm kinda hoping this will tear down the walls between handheld and console for Nintendo, because I just don't have the money for both, aha. :p

And one of the best parts it....the Pokemon CEO has confirmed there's a Pokemon title in the works for it =D

What the heck, this is the coolest idea ever! Thanks for sharing it. XD I love that idea. Like whose idea was that. So cool. I REALLY WANT ONE. I'm glad I didn't get a WiiU now. XD I feel like this is better... lel.

That was my thinking. I'm soooooo glad I didn't get a Wii U. Not that I would have bought one anyway. xD I was debating whether or not to grab a New 3DS, but I hope they just stick with this instead. I like the switchable controller thingy, too! O:

This is pretty awesome! would be great if all Nintendo games were like this from now on!!! I don't think they'll stop making 3DS only games though since they must sell a ton. xD

I think this is probably the best 'gimmick' console Nintendo has had, because it's so fresh whilst not being intrusive. It's similar to the GamePad in a sense, but the increased portability is massive, because that was the one complaint I had about the GamePad. Being able to play 3D Mario, Skyrim and Breath of the Wild on the go is something I'd never have possibly imagined. For now, because the third party developers seem to be backing this far more than the Wii U, it looks like a step in the right direction for Nintendo. Let's hope that Pokémon GO managed to get more people interested in Nintendo as well. :D
