"Just remember one thing: No matter what's truth and lies, no matter how hard we're trying to defend what we love and believe in, a lot pf people are against us, and they may very well always be. Especially if we mess this up."
When the Natural Order group first formed, no one thought it would gain as much power and support as it did. After the Aether Foundation mess, a number of people suspected that it would be difficult for the group to keep together--they thought it would be watched and suspected and eventually it would break up and fade into history unremembered. Instead, the group, who believed that the lives of people and Pokemon would be much better off if they stayed separated entirely, gained more support and followers in the months and years that followed.
If there was an accident involving a Pokemon, the Natural Order group was all over it. If trainers or other Pokemon were seriously injured in battle, the Natural Order group wouldn’t let the matter drop. They kept pushing and poking and refused to let the occasional accident go...and so the peaceful region of Alola became divided. They pushed for the Alolan government to grant them access to the now abandoned Aether Foundation facility in order to “protect the public from highly dangerous Pokemon.” Finally, they were granted access to the facility, which they began expanding.
Needing the work, a young man signed up to work on parts of the expansion...and that’s where things get strange. As this certain young man was working on the expansion project, he managed to get lost in the facility, and wound up almost walking into a meeting between Natural Order’s president and some of his higher ups. This in itself would not have been weird if the young man hadn’t been convinced that he had found himself in the basement of the original building, and the meeting hadn’t included those attending speaking about the best way to mass eliminate the Pokemon population of Alola. Too frightened of the possible discussion at hand, the young man quietly slipped away, eventually found his way back to where he was supposed to be working.
He tried for months to get the conversation he heard out of his head, to pass it off as his imagination, something that couldn’t possibly have been true, but with the Natural Order group’s movement gaining more popularity among the people of Alola, he began to notice more and more that what the group was saying didn’t quite add up with it’s supposed goals. The conversation he overheard that day stuck out in his head more and more, and finally he decided he was going to stop ignoring it and do something about it.
Months after he heard the conversation, the young man sat down and wrote a simple letter that showed up on the walls of Pokemon Centers across Alola. “The Natural Order group isn’t what it seems,” the letter read, “even though they say they want to help Pokemon, all they really want to do is harm them. Think about what they’re saying, and what they’re doing. They don’t add up, do they? There’s still time to think about what’s going on, time to change what we think about them, to stop their plans in their tracks before it’s too late.” It was signed, not with a signature, or a name, or even a title, but an image. An hourglass drawn with a single stroke.
Most of the letters were taken down quickly, but they were up long enough to attract the attention of the news, and more than one trainer. The debates began again, but no one put Natural Order under the scrutiny they should have, and things continued on as they had been...except more and more people have been seen wearing articles of clothing decorated with that hourglass. People who have actively begun to take action against the efforts of the Natural Order group.
People who call themselves a part of Team Hourglass. And they’re not playing around like Team Skull used to do. Instead, they’re out to bring down Natural Order at all costs.
Even if history will remember them as the villains of this story.
Need-to-Know
This RP is set several years after Pokemon Sun and Moon, this means:
The Alolan Pokemon League is a thing, and it has increased tourism to the island region, though the title of champion has changed hands a few times over the years
The Aether Paradise was shut down and abandoned a few years before the Natural Order group got permission to access and expand it
Team Skull is no longer nearly as big as it once was, and sightings of Guzma/the team members are rare
Violent encounters with wild Poemon have been reported to be rising in frequency. though no one is certain why

Name: Teri Romer
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Teri is the kind of face that doesn’t really stand out in a crowd unless you know him for what he is. Standing a rather unimpressive 5’5” and having a pretty, expressive face, and lean body. most people are quick to believe he’s a teenaged girl rather than a young man. This often leads people to misjudge Teri’s physical strength, which he often views as a blessing and a curse. Shaggy purple hair that’s badly in need of a cut and style pokes out from under a gray beanie, which sports a gold pin in the shape of an increasingly familiar hourglass in the cuff. His bright hazel eyes always seem to suggest he’s taking note of the world around him, though he often fights to keep his bangs from obscuring his vision. He’s usually found wearing darker jeans in various states of disrepair, as well as dark hoodies and t-shirts in similar states, alongside black high top shoes that are now almost literally falling apart. When out in public, he usually carries his things in a gray messenger bag, also decorated in with the hourglass, but in black paint that clearly wasn’t applied by a professional hand.
Personality: Teri’s a quiet individual, and tends to be softspoken even when you get him really going about something--usually taking care of Pokemon, or his little brother, Alan. He gets a bit fidgety around unfamiliar and larger numbers of people, not that he lets this interfere with how much he interacts with society, though the difference in how he interacts with people and Pokemon is astounding. The young man knows a lot about Pokemon and how to raise them, which makes sense when you realize he’s running a Pokemon rehabilitation center out of his home...that’s as self sufficient as it could possibly be. Despite his unease around large numbers of people, however, Teri is the founder and leader of Team Hourglass, and is determined to stop the Natural Order group, if not expose them for what they truly are.
History: Teri doesn’t talk about his early life, and that is that. Most people who know him well know that he arrived in Alola by himself when he was eleven years old--he’s never mentioned anything about his parents or relatives, and he’s never been seen sending anything at the local post office. At the time, he was accompanied by a shiny Boldore and a Honedge, as well as a Braixen, which leads many to believe he was born in Unova, but no one really knows. He began to try his hand at the Island Trials shortly after his arrival, but not long after his adventure began, he gave up on the Trials in order to work at a Pokemon Center. He was still working at the Center when people began to realize that what remained of Team Skull had finally grown bored of Po Town and cleared out of it. At the age of thirteen, he and his Pokemon rolled into the now abandoned town and began fixing up the old mansion, turning it into a living space that would eventually double as a Pokemon rehabilitation facility that Teri handled alone, with the help of his team, of course.
With the aid of some of the locals, the facility flourished, and word of the place got around--which Teri is pretty sure is why one morning when he was fifteen, he opened the front door of the mansion to find a very young boy crying. No more than a few months old and wrapped in blankets, strapped inside a baby carrier, it was obvious that the child was left there on purpose. Used to taking care of Pokemon by now, Teri adopted the little boy as his brother, and named him Alan. While the local police did try to look into the abandonment and find the boy’s parents, they never turned up--not that it was much of a problem. The Pokemon portion of the household quickly took to the idea of raising the boy as well, and things were good. Teri picked up odd jobs here and there to cover the costs for the food they couldn’t grow, and electric, as well as repairs to the house. He and Alan got along well, and alongside their Pokemon, the crew became a tightly knit family.
Of course, that’s why when he overheard the Natural Order group meeting discussing the mass elimination of Pokemon, Teri couldn’t let it go, no matter how hard he tried to dismiss it. He couldn’t listen to their speeches without hearing and seeing contradictions. And that is why he ultimately decided to try to form Team Hourglass--to protect all Pokemon and their bond with the Trainers that they came to love so much, and to protect his family. He’s well aware that he may only ever be known as a villain in history, but he is willing to accept that risk, if that is what it takes.
Pokemon Team:
Herman, the male Passimian
Shiki, the female Tsareena
Morrigan, the female Salazzle
Gaia, the shiny male Gigalith
Lucina, the female Doublade
Beetle, the male Golisopod
Other: Often lovingly calls Alan “Alice” at home, has the utmost love and respect both for and from his Team, though most of the Pokemon he live with would attempt to shred anything that poses a threat to him. Also, if you haven't figured it out yet, he's the leader of Team Hourglass.
Name: Alan Romer
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Appearance: Despite his young age, Alan seems to be catching up to his big brother pretty quickly, and standing in at 4’11”, he tends to have the exact opposite problem Teri has--most people tend to think he’s older than he actually is. His more athletic build makes him a bit more suited to his household duties--which he often has to do with a particularly clingy Komala attached to his arm. His golden blond hair is usually every bit as unkept as his brother’s, if not worse since he doesn’t have the benefit of a hat to hide most of it, and his blue eyes are almost always lit with amusement and mischief. He’s often seen wearing various t-shirts that have seen better days, usually bearing designs that have something to do with local plants or berries, paired with jeans that are starting to look rather worse for wear, and travels everywhere he possibly can without shoes on, though in a pinch, flip-flops will do.
Personality: To say that Alan was raised by Pokemon wouldn’t be wrong, and it’s reflected in how the boy acts. While full of cheer and seemingly endless reserves of energy, Alan’s got little to no fear of Pokemon, regardless of their size, type, or even power level. He seems to be able to understand and communicate with Pokemon in a way that most can’t, and despite his age, he’s learned to put this skill to good use--usually to get help doing his household chores. He’s surprisingly mature for his age, and it’s not rare for Teri to leave the house under Alan’s supervision when he has to leave for work, and he spends most of his free time using their excess collection of berries to make different juice mixes to sell visiting tourists and native kids on their Island Trials. While fully aware that Teri isn’t actually his brother, he loves the young man and the Pokemon who raised him just the same, and wouldn’t have it any other way. Which is exactly why he’s determined to try to help his brother and Team Hourglass in any way that Teri will let him.
History: Abandoned on Teri’s doorstep when he was just a few months old, Alan’s never known what it was like to have a normal family--and he’s totally okay with that. Actually, his closeness with Pokemon has helped him learn to understand and communicate with them more effectively...as well as learn from them. He’s given the passing locals plenty of scares over the years, including an incident when he was seven in which he spent a week in the hospital on a diet of pecha berry recipes after trying to pet a Grimer, not quite believing Teri when his older brother told him it was poisonous. He has ince learned his lesson, and no longer challenges what his brother tells him to do (Teri had told him to put on gloves before touching the Grimer to begin with).
While not having a mother growing up hasn’t ever really bothered him, Alan has formed a particularly close bond with a mute Primarina that has been with in the house only a little longer than he has, and often lovingly refers to the Pokemon as Makuahine, and it’s actually the Primarina who initially got the boy interested in working with berries, as he wanted to see if mixing berries might be able to ease the discomfort he’d noticed she had been feeling. While his adventures in trying to combine berries to create more effective natural medicine haven’t proven very effective yet, though, he has discovered that mixing berry juice can result in some very tasty and refreshing drinks--a fact he has used to start up his own small juice stand in order to bring in money to help with the house. Teri’s asked him time and time again, and even encouraged the boy to try and participate in the Island Trials, but he’s not really interested in battling Pokemon--he’d rather take care of them He dreams of going to school to study Pokemon medicine in the future, but right now, his priority is helping his older brother in any way he can to protect their family, and everyone else’s bonds with their Pokemon...not that Teri will let him do very much.
Pokemon Team:
Irwin, the male Komala
Stella, the female Petilil
Ame , the male Rockruff
Kim, the female Bewear
Sally, the female Passimian
Christine/Makuahine, the female Primarina (mute)
Other: Usually refers to Teri as “Teresa” or “Resa” instead of his actual name, the result of a joke made when both were younger, and doesn’t get mad when Teri calls him “Alice” and “Allie.” Is absolutely adored by most of the Pokemon that live with he and Teri, the most notable exception is Alexander the Oranguru, who often regards him with annoyance.

This sounds like an awesome idea! I'd love to try joining. I haven't been in an RP besides GCEA in YEARS though and never ones that have super long/detailed posts. So I hope I can keep up. xD
I've only ever made one character and I find it so hard to come up with them xD So I think I'd like to use a grown up version of my GCEA character, Alice. Is it okay if my character is a Pokemon trainer who became a Pokemon professor in Kanto, and who specialises in Fossil Pokemon? Or is it better if she is a regular trainer (I can use a younger version)? :) Winter

Pokemon Trainer Sarah Glad to see you're interested in giving this a shot! I really don't expect super long/detailed paragraphs from everyone--in fact, you'd probably be fine with just a simple paragraph. Your biggest concern in replying to RPs like these is simply making sure you are giving the person posting after you has enough material to work with, so that we can keep the RP going.
I have heard from a fairly reliable source that Teri isn't going to be too picky about who his (possible?) allies are, as long as they aren't committing serious crimes while using the Team Hourglass name. So as long as Alice isn't, say, trying to rob Pokemon Centers or something in her spare time, she's welcome to join in in whichever form you'd like her to join with.

Awesome, thanks! :D I just read through your sign ups properly and noticed you're using the name Alice so I will probably change her name just so it doesn't get confusing :) I will edit this post with my sign up when it's done! Woohoo! I'm excited xD
Name: Alice Fern
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Appearance: Alice is average height and weight, a bit on the skinny side and has an athletic build. She has ice blue eyes that change from green to blue in different light, and light brown, almost blonde, shoulder-length hair. She mostly wears brown ankle-high boots, stockings, a knee-length skirt and a thin, pale green, long sleeve shirt under a long white, collared coat which somewhat resembles a lab coat. If it's cold, she wears a grey hat and coloured scarf.
Personality: Alice can be quite reserved around new people. She is naturally trusting and so she forces herself not to get too close to people until she is sure that she should trust them. Despite this, she still appears friendly. She is very determined and competitive and when she is competing with someone is the time that her true personality comes out. She is very harsh on herself and expects the same standards of others. She can also be a bit of a sore loser, though she tries not to show it. She does her best to be a nice person but she can have a short temper and can be incredibly impatient, especially in situations where others are doing something she thinks is less than intelligent. She gets anxious in social situations, but tries to appear calm, and has improved a lot as she has grown older. She is clever and generally cheerful and helpful, but holds grudges forever. Once she is betrayed it is almost impossible to ever win back her trust. Alice is analytical and cautious.
History: Alice was born in Viridian City, Kanto to scientist parents. As a child, she grew up in a house full of Pokemon and was mostly left to her own devices. This gave her a strong bond with the creatures who she regarded as family. She learned how to tend to small wounds, calm angered Pokemon and soothe anxious ones after living among them for so long. When Alice was 5, the family relocated to Ambrette Town, Kalos, for her father's work on Pokemon fossils.
Alice loved fossil Pokemon and always knew she wanted to be a scientist, so she headed straight for university rather than going on a childhood Pokemon journey. When she was rejected from a prestigious professorship program due to lacking enough hands-on experience with Pokemon (something she disputes to this day), she went on a Pokemon journey around her original home of Kanto at age 19. She doesn't speak of the journey, and some say strange things were happening in Kanto at the time involving Team Rocket, which have since been covered up. It is generally accepted that Alice's journey was difficult and dangerous, part of the reason she emerged with a strong team of Pokemon, consisting primarily of her beloved fossils. When Alice returned to Kalos at age 21, she entered the professorship program and requested to work in Pallet Town, Kanto. After two years working as an assistant, she was given her own laboratory space and regularly conducts research into topics of her choosing (commonly fossil revival and Pokemon genetics) as well as breeding starter Pokemon for new trainers. Her Pokemon are a big part of her laboratory and are used to being her helpers and test subjects. Alice loves her Pokemon above all else, and when she heard about what was happening in Alola, she was immediately suspicious of the Natural Order and was sure the Pokemon weren't to blame. She petitioned the Pokemon League to allow her to leave her post and travel to Alola to investigate the crisis. They agreed, as long as she kept a low profile and understood that their support would only be granted in secret, and withdrawn if she threatened international relations. Upon arriving there, many strange rumours were circulating about a Team Hourglass. Alice didn't know anything about them but if they were set on uncovering the Natural Order's plans, she wanted to help.

Edit: Done! Winter :D
Winter Nice to see another roleplay come to life here.
Is there anything else you can tell us about the Natural Order? I presume they're being kept vague on purpose but I would mostly like to know details such as the way they're organized or, potentially, the sort of people that make up their ranks; their ambitions, or at least the nature of them, are already strongly implied.
This also might be a weirdly-worded question but what's the "standard" of Pokemon ownership in this universe? I see both of your characters have a full team whose subordinates aren't anything to sneeze at. Would this apply to most people in Alola, as in, would most people aim to have a full team, regardless if they are serious Trainers, Captains, etc.? Or is that just dependent on a character's background?
One more question: opinion on having a Trial Captain character? This takes place years after the original story, so what would the likelihood be of one of the original's losing or retiring from their position?

Pokemon Trainer Sarah Don't worry about changing names, Teri can just stick to Allie, or come up with something different.
Gef Sadly the RP boards here aren't he most active ones here on the forum, but I'must glad I finally got some more inspiration.
Where Natural Order is concerned, I don't entirely have details for organization/specific characters worked out yet, though it is unlikely that the general public knows a ton about the higher ups anyway. Most of what the public sees are the members who legitimately seem to think separation of people and Pokémon is best, and who have no idea what the actual plan is. I might be able to provide more info once I have the details worked out entirely, but with these things not really being public knowledge in-RP anyway, it doesn't make a ton of sense to do so.
To answer the second question, I'don't say it is more dependent on background--I noticed a lot of the trainers you battle in Alola don't have full teams, and that might be because the culture of the region seems so laid back, but I am sure some people are more gung-ho about having more Pokémon than others. For instance, most of Teri and Alan's teams are actually just the rescues/rehabs that have the most attachment to them. Teri has to be a bit more careful with his choices since he leaves the house more frequently, but once the RP is underway, it should be pretty easy to tell that neither brother defaults to battling, and most of their Pokémon have reasons for being taken in to begin with.
As for the third, Teri's not going to be picky about the help he gets, but I'd keep in mind what the actual position of a Trial Captain means, so if they are going to work for Team Hourglass, I'd advise them having a certain schedule, or noting that they have a temp replacement doing their actual job or something.
Winter To be honest, I wouldn't say it's a good idea to leave details about the antagonists ill-defined prior to the roleplay, especially since the main objective is to defeat them. I'd think, from a game master perspective, having those ironed out beforehand, even if not enumerated for potential players, would be inestimably useful for predicting what sort of events the cast would face or sorts of obstacles they may have to overcome; the actual RP would be better organized as a result. And it should be noted that, even if the general public understands very little about the Natural Order, there are no real restrictions set in place on Hourglass recruits, so the amount a character claims to know is essentially up to their player, right?
As for your second answer, the amount of Pokemon a character owns is up to, essentially, who they are. That's what I meant by "dependent on background"; a rich boy from Kanto would likely have different Pokemon than a waitress with a five-to-nine gig who's lived in Hau'oli her entire life, similarly to a young man who's made a living out of rescuing Pokemon would have a different party than someone who hasn't. I'll also presume that, because of what you brought up about Trainers in the game, the culture of Alola is exactly that: lax, laid-back, just like a tropical island paradise. Of course, that atmosphere could be perturbed by the construction of the League, drawing in more competitive Pokemon Trainers from neighboring regions.
But, going back to the detail about Pokemon ownership, I'll note that I'd feel uncomfortable not describing my own character's connection with their partners in their bio section, just to "justify" things, in a sense. At the same time, I'm also not fond of giving my character a full team from the get-go. It's a preference thing, really; I suppose I just like treating each Pokemon like its own little character and having six makes that overwhelming to do. That's essentially why I asked the second question, and also because I wanted to see how much world-building you'd already done. Wouldn't want to create inconsistency if I end up writing an app.
I should also be the person—as if I'm not "that person" already, aha—to bring up battle mechanics. How will battling and move usage translate to this RP? Things like dodging, the amount of moves a Pokemon can use, etc.
And Trial Captains, in some form, are permitted. Okay! It's something I'll keep in mind but I probably wouldn't head that direction myself. It really depends.

Gef I fully intend to have the group more fleshed out come RP time, but after having two RPs get little to no attention in the past year, I've become a little more cautious about getting super invested in the more specific details of RPs until I know I have a few people actually interested in joining.
It seems I managed to miss a typo there, sorry about that. I was replying from my tablet, which has...very special autocorrect. It freaks out the moment I put an apostrophe anywhere, and I'm usually pretty good at keeping track of when it does this. That was meant to be "I'd think," not "I don't think." I would imagine that most of the older generation in Alola is still fairly lax, the younger generation might be more fired up because of the boosted tourism from the league, but it would ultimately still depend on the person.
You're welcome to add on whatever you'd like--it is your SU, and the info sheet there only requires the bare minimum. If you have a preference, you are welcome to stick to that preference--I know some people who turn their SUs into essays, and I'm fine with that, I'm just not going to ask the same of other players.
We'd be looking at something similar to the anime. I do usually ask to restrict to four moves, but stuff like abilities/actual numbers will be overlooked. I'm generally pretty lax about letting people make their own decisions about taking hits/etc, though I will be keeping an eye out to make sure that the doesn't get abused. Do keep in mind though, that the lot does center around them trying to stop a group of people who are pushing for the separation of people and Pokemon...meaning not everyone the characters will be facing will even have Pokémon. Battles will not be quite as much of a focus here as they may be in other Pokemon-based RPs.

I'd like to let you know that I'm really intrigued with what you've created here... It's very interesting! Great job!
Name: Vincent Gray
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Skinny wouldn't be the correct word, but it wouldn't be the wrong word either. As Vincent would casually inform his peers through his duration in middle-school and high-school, he was lean. Okay, he's skinny. You got me. Standing at 5'7", which is about as average as average can get, Vincent has dark-brown eyes and very dark hair, which he prefers to never show (his tendency to wear hats aids with that), but is kept cut on the low side. You'll almost never catch Vincent sporting any colorful attire. In fact, he's very bland with the way he opts to dress. If he's not wearing a darker shade of jeans, he's wearing a darker shade of sweats. Long-sleeves and hoodies are his prerogative and he's got no shame about it. Vincent has never been big on what's in or what's out, therefore, his shoe selection is extremely limited. Tennis shoes and what else? You guessed it, nothing. If there's anything distinct about Vincent, it's his silver bracelet that he continuously wears on his right wrist. To others, it's ordinary. To him, it's neither ordinary or fashion, but a symbol.
Personality: To call Vincent a social butterfly would be an understatement. He was the man at Saffron City High. Anyone who was anyone knew him... and it wasn't by mistake. He was talkative, some would say annoyingly talkative, and he could fit in with anybody. However, that was high-school. Nowadays? His silence is deafening. He's calculative. He's daring. In no way is he cold, but he's definitely independent. Loyalty runs in Vincent's bloodstream. He'd put his life down for those he loves and cares about, but wouldn't dare let those that love or care about him even think about attempting the same. Vincent is genuine in every sense of the word. Behind the veil, he's a lover. He's a caretaker. He's a human being... and he wouldn't dare let anyone stray him from who he truly is.
History: Growing up in Saffron City wasn't simple. Although Vincent seemed like he had it all in high-school, he didn't. Eric Gray, Vincent's father, would never dream of putting his family in danger's path, but sadly didn't express that same caution toward himself. On a cold Winter evening, when Vincent was barely eight-years young, a few former members of Team Rocket had arrived at Vincent's home to settle old but relevant differences with Eric. What began as an ordinary disagreement transformed into a nightmare when an altercation between Eric and his former pals turned fatal. While the former thugs of Rocket escaped and were eventually detained, Vincent was left with an emotional scar that would only continue to grow the more he attempted to hide it.
Vincent began to partake in various activities to keep himself sane. He believed that if he was constantly occupied, he'd never feel depressed or allow the nightmarish thoughts to haunt him once more. He took to basketball and played a couple seasons with the Saffron City Spirits, although none of them resulted in anything meaningful. Writing was another hobby of his, more of a craft if you left it to the opinion of others. He wrote for the Saffron City newspaper, but after a few months, quit due to the conflicting schedules that came with being a high-school student. Pokemon Battling piqued Vincent's interest more than anything else... and boy was he damn good at it. After befriending Cory, a young Pokemon Trainer who was among the best in the city, he took to battling professionally. His mother gifted him an Abra whom he trained diligently until it eventually evolved into a powerful Alakazam. Vincent's love for Alakazam grew strong over time and the bond unbreakable. Eventually, he decided to stop battling... simply because he began to despise the concept of it.
After graduating high-school, Vincent's mother, Lily, informed him that she would be moving to the Alola region and offered him to travel with her. At first, Vincent was hesitant. His love for Saffron City was strong, and with his father Eric being buried there, he didn't want to let go. But eventually, he came to terms with the idea of a fresh start and opted to travel to Alola. After residing in Alola for some years, Vincent decided to pick up battling once more, but quickly gave it up not too long afterward. Days turned into months and months into years and Vincent missed his father and Saffron City dearly. He began to feel as if he lacked purpose in the world and had little to no answers on what or who to turn to...
...then he saw the hourglass.
Vincent was motivated. He knew not of the purpose he had in the world, but knew he could find one... and there was no better opportunity than what Team Hourglass offered. He knew of his exceptional skill in Pokemon Battling and knew that it was a skill that could definitely aid the Hourglass, even if he despised it. But even more so, he knew that it was his genuine love for Pokemon that was his biggest weapon. It was a done-deal. He knew not only what he wanted to do, but what he had to do. He had known what those of evil were capable of and what they've committed previously. Evil relieved him of his greatest role model being his father and he wasn't going to let it do the same with Pokemon.
After making up his mind, Vincent informed his mother Lily of his decision, packed his things for what he predicted to be a trial ahead, and took off... claiming himself as one who was apart of Team Hourglass at heart.

Midnight Sun Consider yourself reserved! Depending on how things go, chances are I'll be waiting at least a week or two to get the RP proper up, so you have time, and I don't close SUs after RP start anyway, just let me know when you're done!
Thank-you! :3
I was also wondering if I could do a short SU for an NPC that will be featured a lot? I really don't know how extensively she will be involved, but she'll be around a fair bit at first for sure.

I'm not done, and may tweak Izzy's personality a little, but this is what I have so far:
Name: Eloise “Izzy” Beauregard
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Appearance: Despite living on a tropical island, Eloise's skin has tanned very little, and she is rather pale. This may be because she spends too much time indoors on her laptop, which isn't too surprising considering her computer science major. The amount of computer screen time may also have contributed to her needing glasses, and Izzy picked a pair with a thin, black rim. Despite needing spectacles though, her seagreen eyes can manage without them, though the distant world becomes a bit blurry. Her bangs, on the other hand, never impair her vision and hover a few centimeters from her eyes. That being said, they are noticeably longer on the side, and frame the top half of her cheeks. Her head of russet brown hair reaches her shoulder blades, and could be described as being a bit wavy.
When it comes to clothes, Izzy enjoys wearing a range of colours, though she almost always pairs light tops with darker bottoms. When it's warm, and it almost always is, she likes to sport a tank top with Bermuda shorts or capri pants. On the rare cold day, Eloise will dig out a sweater and pair of jeans, though they're a tighter fit then the rest of her clothes. It's evident they're older and out of fashion, and the brunette has gained weight since their purchase. She couldn't be considered fat, but most doctors would suggest she lose a few pounds, and she is a little out of shape. A small backpack with a pixel pattern contains most her gear, though she does have a leather satchel for carrying her laptop and computing equipment.
Although is isn't a perfect representation of Izzy, this image is pretty close
http://i.imgur.com/26cQrUi.png
Personality: Though some would call Izzy excitable, it’s a bit too strong a word to accurately describe her. Lively and enthusiastic fit the bill though; she’s the type that cheers loudly at sporting events, that dances along to her favourite song, that gets hyped for the next big video game. She’s also notably passionate when it comes to her interests and those close to her. This is blatant when Izzy does things like gaming; she’s the type to curse at the TV when she loses or does poorly. There is a small carry over when she battles, though the young woman has mellowed out a bit in this area. That isn’t to say she doesn’t get loud and emotive when the stakes are high enough, and this may lead to rash calls.
It probably isn’t much of a stretch to say that Eloise has her stubborn tendencies. That isn’t to say she’s completely inflexible, though it takes a sound argument or evidence to change her mind once it’s set. This can make her a bit difficult to work with sometimes, but Izzy’s friendly and caring personality help make up for it. She also tries to lend a hand when possible, and typically does what she feels is right. That being said, Eloise isn’t above occasionally using her impressive computing skills to hack…
When upset, Eloise can get fiery, but she’s generally in good control of her temper. Push her to her limits though, and she will snap, unleashing a very dangerous side of her personality.
History: Her last name is without a doubt Kalosian, which is where Eloise was born and spent much of her early life. She grew up in a northern suburb of Santalune City with her parents and older brother, Patrice. Money was never an issue in the household; Mr. Beauregard was a well-respected hotel manager and Mrs. Beauregard was a skilled interior designer. Their wealth only accumulated throughout the years as Eloise's father was promoted and her mother took more prestigious projects. However, she and her brother were never spoiled and the value of good education was instilled in them. Despite this, Eloise had a hard time sitting still in class and would often go off on "adventures", much to the panic of her caregivers. No amount of punishment could get her to stop, and it's possible that the only thing that kept her from becoming a professional rock climber or parkour artist was a nasty fall. When Eloise was seven, she slipped away from her babysitter and attempted to climb the biggest tree in the neighbourhood. She had overestimated her skills, however, and took a painful fall after missing a key branch. This resulted in a leg and arm break, which was a terribly unpleasant experience for the young girl. Though she never lost her spirited nature, the desire to "adventure" had been seriously diminished and never quite returned.
Eloise also had the chance to visit a few of her native region's cities and towns, thanks to her parents' jobs. The most notable of these trips occurred when she was nine and the family traveled to Ambrette Town on a business trip. It was here that she met Violette while playing in the park, and while Patrice thought the cat was creepy, his sister found her adorable. The duo formed a friendship during the two weeks the Beauregards were in the area, and Eloise pleaded with her parents to take her home. After reassuring them she had no plans on quitting school to journey with Espurr, they agreed to let their daughter keep the purple feline.
Patrice, however, had made no sure promise and hadn't had his wanderlust quashed by a fall. He was quiet and studious, but at 14, he wanted a taste of the freedom his peers were getting. This lead to a few majors fights in the family, and lead to his running away just a few months later. Eloise's heart broke a little, she and her brother had always gotten along pretty well and was devastated he was gone. A consequence of this was a spike in her temper; she became very angry and bitter. It also caused some issues in her household, a lot of fighting, tension and uncertainty. The police did find Patrice, but they came to an agreement, and the teen continued his journey. Eloise was ten at the time, and she never allows herself to revisit this part of her life. It's still painful, and the siblings still don't talk.
Two years later, her father was awarded a major promotion; his company was expanding and opening a new location in Hau'oli City, Alola. He was selected to be among the staff sent over to the chain's new Alola headquarters. As a result, the family left beautiful Kalos and relocated to troplical Alola. Although Eloise was hesitant at first, the move helped her a lot in the long run. The counselor she saw in Hau'oli was a much better fit, and over time, helped the brunette control her temper and adapt to her new life. She was also a novelty to her classmates, though she quickly butted heads with a girl named Keahi. The nickname Izzy originally started as one of Kea's jabs during an argument, but Eloise liked it and ended up adopting it.
The two girls became friends the next year, and have been close ever since. Proof of this is the trade they made; Soleil the Litleo for Nani the Rockruff, which was conduced after seeing the Pokemon better fit the other "trainer". Despite having budding teams, both girls remained in school until completion. Graduating finally earned Izzy her parents' approval to journey, and although she did for a small spell, she never ended up going too far. Instead, the interest she had acquired in computer sciences during her last years at school called to her and she applied at the University of Heahea, as she was eligable for more scholarships there. Her lack of ability to stay cool in battle may have contributed to her choice, as may have Patrice's actions...
A year into her program, Kea joined her as a roomate, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, one fateful night, while frequenting an obscure chatroom, Izzy was introduced to the conspiracy theories surrounding the Natural Order. She hadn't been following the group's actions closely, but kept a closer eye on them afterward. This lead to her realising that the things echoed in the chatroom were more then tin-foil theories, which caught her full attention. Her growing concerns were confirmed when she managed to hack a small Natural Order server, and while she was able to show Kea, she was expelled before getting evidence.
Izzy is stubborn, so having her prized laptop stolen and finding a threatening letter did nothing but encourage her to join Team Hourglass. There was too much at stake to idle by...

Personality: Despite specializing in fire Pokemon, Kea is a rather calm individual. She takes a cool and logical approach when dealing with problems or conflict, though snarking is not above her. In fact, if she does ever argue or fight, it will usually involve her making quips and subtle jabs. Even in battle, Keahi stays focused and composed; getting her to unravel is quite the difficult task. However, should this happen, she goes from cool to volcanic in the blink of an eye.
History: Kea spent much of her life in Hau'oli City with her parents and younger brother, though they did often visit relatives in Paniola Town. Unlike many of her peers, she opted to delay her attempt at the island trials, and continued her schooling instead. In middle school, Kea encountered her first true rival, a "spirited" girl from Kalos. Their clashing personalities caused them to clash almost right away, although being forced to work on a project together the next year changed that. The young teens realized they worked pretty well together, and had more in common than they thought. This began their friendship, which extends to this day. When she turned 17, Kea attempted and completed her island trial, but did not continue onto the league. Instead, she applied and was accepted into the Heahea University, where Kea is currently studying Alolan ecology (with a desire to specialize in volcanic ecosystems).
Kea, being a logical person, had noticed that the Natural Order's actions didn't match their words. Her suspicions were confirmed after she saw some of the files Eloise discovered after hacking a minor Natural Order server. However, before the girls could act, Izzy was booted from the server and the next day, her laptop was stolen. There was threatening note left in their dorm soon after, though it was impossible to determine whether or not the Natural Order was behind it. Although Keahi never officially joined Team Hourglass, she is certainly sympathetic to them and their actions.

We've been talking about this for a fair bit: two reserves please!
Name: Ruqayyah Hussein Abdur-Rahman
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance: At not even 5 feet, 2 inches, Ruqayyah does not cut an impressive figure. Furthermore, she’s all angles with ropy muscle, with a gymnast’s figure more than anything else. Her darker olive skin contrasts with bright green eyes, and her nose is long, aquiline, and bent as though it’s been broken a couple times. Her facial expression is usually carefully neutral, and it can be difficult to tell what she’s thinking. Her hair is tied up and hidden under a two piece headscarf, designed to be worn with minimal fuss. She wears long slacks loose enough for moving around comfortably, and in most circumstances would go for a hoodie on top, creating something of an incongruous image. However, she has conceded to the weather, and instead of a sweater, she wears a long sleeved but thin navy shirt more appropriate for not baking in the heat. She perpetually has a backpack on her, sturdy and designed take punishment while keeping its contents intact, and her sneakers are designed to be both durable and give practical support for active pursuits.
Personality: Ruqayyah is pretty quiet… but only when she notices some jerk that she needs to teach a lesson, since she can lure them into a false sense of security. Most of the time, though, Ruqayyah is direct, blunt, and a little arrogant. Despite her small stature, she is an excellent trainer with a team that has both raw strength and strategic acumen, and she knows it. In part because of this, she can occasionally flaunt her power at times that may not call for it. Ultimately, however, she suffers from an an inability to be quiet when she sees something wrong happening: she’s brash and easily angered and a bit egotistical, but she will always interfere to protect the innocent and punish the guilty. This especially applies if her little sister is somehow caught in a situation; since their father died, Sukainah has become Ruqayyah's top priority, and their move to Alola from Unova was made in large part for Sukainah's sake.
History:
Ruqayyah grew up in the Unova region to a technology CEO and his doctor wife. She was their only child for about 9 years, whereupon her mother grew pregnant again. However, the delivery of her second child was complicated, and though they were able to save the baby, Ruqayyah's mother passed away.
To say that both Ruqayyah and her father took this death very hard was an understatement. While Ruqayyah's father buried himself in work, Ruqayyah herself found the most comfort in taking care of her little sister: Sukainah technically had nannies, but Ruqayyah frequently brushed them aside and fed and changed her sister herself. However, Ruqayyah started working herself into the ground trying to care for her sister. Eventually, her dad started to notice, and after a bit of a conflict between the two, Hussein Abdur-Rahman gave his daughter her first pokemon, a Cottonee, and sent her on a journey to challenge the Unova Pokémon League, with Ruqayyah informing him that she was going to call to check in on Sukainah every day.
Ruqayyah was a bit reluctant to travel at first, but eventually took to training very well. She was a natural at raising and commanding Pokémon, with both an acute strategic mind and a gift for keeping Pokémon coordinated and happy. Within 8 months, she had caught five other Pokémon and beaten 8 gyms. She had no concrete plans to challenge the league, though she did have plans to come back home for Sukainah's first birthday.
But then Sukainah got kidnapped.
The kidnappers were demanding a ransom for the one year old, but Ruqayyah was beside herself in sheer anger. However, she was able to figure out where they were holding her sister. Ruqayyah calmly walked in and, in a quiet tone of voice, ordered her Zweilous to use Draco Meteor on the first idiot to threaten her. And that pretty much set the tone for Ruqayyah getting her sister back.
It did not take long for Sukainah to be safe in her big sister's arms and for the undercover International Police agent to give her his information with a job offer.
Ruqayyah took a day to make her decision, though she informed him a week later to take care of her sister. And so Agent Looker of the International Police took her under his wing.
For the next decade, Ruqayyah split her time doing work for Interpol and looking after Sukainah (after a second argument with her dad). She did good work, her sharp mind and sheer will making her both a good detective and good older sister (albeit one insistent that Sukainah eats her vegetables, much to the then toddler's chagrin).
But then, tragedy struck when Ruqayyah's dad suddenly died, and the complex circumstances around his death deprived Ruqayyah and Sukainah of most of their father's wealth. Ruqayyah did get legal custody of Sukainah immediately, and the sisters were not left poorly off because of Ruqayyah's steady paycheck from Interpol, but they were certainly left significantly less rich than before. Ruqayyah applied for paid leave, and it was accepted.
However, Sukainah was getting ready to go on her own journey, and neither sister wanted Sukainah to go on her journey in Unova, where their father's death was raw and still controversial. So Ruqayyah bought herself and her sister tickets to the Alola region, with the intent that Sukainah starts her journey there, instead. But there's reason to suspect Ruqayyah has another reason to go to Alola...

Name: Sukainah Hussein Abdur-Rahman
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Appearance: Sukainah's build is a study of contrasts with her sister: the former is already almost ready to overtake the latter's height, being five feet even. Furthermore, where Ruqayyah has angles, Sukainah has soft curves, making her look more gentle than her older sister. Their skin tone and eye color are identical, and even their choice in headwear is quite similar, but Sukainah's nose, while long like Ruqayyah's, does not display any signs of having been broken in the past. Sukainah also has dimples and defaults to a genuinely cheerful smile, especially when meeting new people. Her clothes, however, display a practicality that's much more similar to Ruqayyah's than one might first assume, with jeans and shirt designed to withstand dirt and grime and the rigors of going on trials. She also has a similarly sturdy backpack, although hers holds her very grumpy Eevee, Natalia. It is also rare to see her not holding her Mimikyu, Rafiqi, and quite recently her Wishiwashi has taken to sitting on her head.
Personality:
If there was a niceness competition, Sukainah would win it without question for all time and ever until she was disqualified for making it unfair. People's first reaction to her is "Oh my Tapu she's so nice!", but upon closer examination... nope, that's exactly what she is. Sukainah's inner nature is that of someone who goes around, making people's lives easier because she wants to, and her deeply altruistic nature and advanced skill in empathy tends to make her liked and trusted very quickly. Furthermore, she's quite sharp, especially when it comes to people, and so despite her relatively young age, she's quite wise. But because of her kind nature, she finds it difficult to be mean when it is necessary, and she can be walked over if she's not careful. However, there are hints that she can develop her sister's spine, though only time will tell if she can manage it.
History:
When Ruqayyah first picked up her sister and took her to Alola, Sukainah was only mildly upset: she was sad that she would be leaving her friends behind, but she was looking forward to the island trials and the new friends she would make. Furthermore, the sisters were fresh from the grief of their father's death, and going somewhere else to get some distance from it seemed ideal. When they got to Alola, Sukainah even went for a walk to take in the new environment.
Of course, that's about when she saw the clearly beaten chained Eevee and the Mimikyu desperately tending to her.
Sukainah immediately dragged Ruqayyah over and basically demanded that the "trainer" who kept the two be arrested for "everything." Ruqayyah couldn't make any arrests since she was on leave and the trainer wasn't around, but Sukainah's older sister did make some calls to figure out what was going on, only to discover that the trainer in question had already been arrested and his other Pokémon seized. The Eevee and Mimikyu were supposed to be taken too, but the police did not find them.
Upon finding this out, Sukainah begged her sister to let her tend to the Pokémon. Ruqayyah was not immediately enthused, but acquiesced. And for about a month, Sukainah did everything in her power to nurse the Pokémon, keeping them fed, warm, and loved. Natalia the Eevee already had a name according to Ruqayyah's Metagross, but it was Sukainah who named the Mimikyu Rafiqi. And when Rafiqi had a night terror, or when Natalia threw a tantrum out of fear, it was Sukainah who comforted and calmed them.
Unbeknowest to Sukainah, Ruqayyah covertly arranged for paperwork to go through to allow Sukainah to keep the two permanently, registering them as Sukainah's starters. And when the paperwork went through, Ruqayyah surprised her sister with it.
Sukainah's scream of delight could practically be heard in Kanto, and she packed immediately to go on her journey. Ruqayyah asked to tag along out of worry, given the increasingly tense climate in Alola, and Sukainah was even more glad to have her "best big sister in the world" along.
Sukainah moved through the Melemele trial and grand trial pretty quickly, and currently just finished the water trial on Akala Island and caught a Wishiwashi soon thereafter. She is currently preparing to go to the fire trial, but has started to become concerned because her sister seems increasingly distracted and worried as time goes on...

Still working on it.
Name: Kite
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance: Fair skin, medium brown hair with whispy bangs, hazel eyes, athletic build. Wears a plain white muscle shirt and blue jeans.
Personality:
History: Raised to be a mechanic but with the soul of a pilot, Kite spent his life confined within the borders of isolated Cinnabar island. He aspired from childhood to voyage the skies above as an ocean, though he wouldn't leave the comfortable nest of his home until much later. He lived a typical boy's life. He made decent marks in school and helped his father in the shop when he wasn't doing homework. Though he had no passion for the work of a mechanic, he fully expected he would work in the family business when he came of age, and he did.
He loves Pokemon, especially flying types, but his primary contact with Pokemon were his father's helpers and so he thought Pokemon were not much more than pets when used aside from utilitarian purposes. He did of course occasionally hear of a classmate leaving for a Pokemon journey, but on Cinnabar island that was not the typical route. Leaving on a journey could be especially dangerous as one would have to cross either the seas or the skies, or else it was really expensive if one chose to go by boat. Besides, he had no Pokemon to call his own, that is until one day.
At the age of 21 on his way to pick up parts for the shop he happened upon an injured Pidgey, an ironically hawkish fellow it turned out, but the injured creature was too weak to resist Kite's aid. He kept him at home and nursed him back to health in the course of a few weeks. He would witness the winged creature almost daily attempt to escape his cage, and he watched him sympathetically, seeing in the bird a kind of analogy to his own situation. It was with much remorse that Kite released the Pidgey after recovery, but not without giving him a bell in order to identify the bird, just in case. He would become rather melancholy in the days that passed without him, but the bird returned to visit periodically. Though Pidgey was not the type to be kept in a cage, and Kite at the time had no idea what he would do with his own Pokemon, in short order Pidgey was not only tamed, but the two became best friends.
His newfound Pidgey was not yet going to get him off of Cinnabar Island. He saved up money from his father's job and as soon as opportunity presented itself he set sail on a boat away from his home. He traversed Kanto, and in time became a reknowned Flying-type tamer, and his flying Pokemon would put on shows that would bedazzle the crowds at Pokemon contests around the world. He has no abiding home, but goes wherever there is adventure to be found, and thus he sets his heart on charting the auspicious Alolan skies.

Name: Sable Hawthorn
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance: Sable is a tall and lanky woman whose dark skin and bright blue eyes are about the only features worth noting at first glance. She lacks a figure that would turn any heads, and while she is athletic, she doesn’t have much in the way of muscle that would be viewed as out of the ordinary for a trainer. Her black hair tends to be cut short to keep it out of the way, and she doesn’t bother with things such as makeup outside of important events.
Even her outfits tend to be fairly boring to look at. A dark brown windbreaker over a white tank top, cut-off black jean shorts, and brown hiking boots are the norm while in the Alola Region. She’s joked before that the shorts are the only reason people tend to realize she’s actually a girl, although she knows that it’s a bit of an exaggeration.
Personality: Sable is a fairly friendly and excitable person who has been cursed with a notable case of social anxiety. She will run into a situation and do what she thinks is right, and should that not involve talking to people she will do it without hesitating in the slightest. In conversations, on the other hand, she tends to shut down and rely on others to speak for her, unless she has become comfortable around the person to whom she is speaking. For that to happen requires either a great deal of time or an experience that proves without a doubt that they do not mean to harm her.
Her greatest strength is how quickly she picks things up. As such, while she herself is not good at talking to people she’s not comfortable around, it is useful to have her around during important conversations. It was because of this that she is a member of Team Hourglass, having picked up the potential for Natural Order to not be what it seemed even before the letter showed up, just as Team Plasma had been in her home region of Unova.
History: Sable’s early life in Accumula Town was fairly simple and easy. Neither of her parents were trainers, but their jobs paid enough that there was never really any worry about money in her household. It was because of this that she was able to wander into the Pokémon Center one day and buy a few Pokéballs with money to spare.
Her beginning as a trainer began a few months after that, when a stray Purrloin somehow managed to get into her house while her parents were away. After befriending the small bundle of apathy, mostly through feeding it, she convinced it to stay with her and captured it with one of the Pokéballs.
In hindsight, her parents took that a lot better than she had any right to expect, since she had hid even the fact that she had bought Pokéballs from them.
The journey that followed was both harder than she expected and more rewarding than she ever could have imagined. Her bond with Imp the soon-to-be-Liepard grew, and with each new member of her team she captured a new bond was formed, which then began to grow just as surely. Along the way she began to grow a bit bitter about the idea of Team Plasma, who would have made it so she never even met Imp in the first place.
When she finally had her fill of the Unova Region, she journeyed back to Castelia City and got on the first boat she could find heading to the Alola Region, because it seemed like a nice place to go on a vacation to reward her Pokémon for their hard work.
Her entire time in Alola was almost ruined the moment she heard of Natural Order, who reminded her far too much of Team Plasma. She nonetheless did her best to enjoy herself while she was there; exploring all the beautiful landmarks that the Region had to offer and even capturing a new team member while doing so. She nearly managed to forget her worries about Natural Order until the letter showed up.
It was a long, sleepless night during which she considered what to do about the confirmation of her fears, before finally deciding that she couldn’t stand the idea of letting a second Team Plasma run around without intervention.

Name: Garret Marshall
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Garret stands at 5 ft 9, and fairly well built, both naturally, and from his line of work. He has a somewhat tanned complexion, after living in Alola for seven years, white fairly short, blonde hair. His hands and arms are lightly scarred from the odd cut and scrape from working in the garage.
When he is working, he tends to wear the same pair of navy blue overalls and a slightly torn white t-shirt. He wears black steelcap boots, and is usually covered in oil and grease, and smells of petrol.
Granted he scrubs up alright when he isn't working. He is very clean (which after working forty hours a week around engines, isn't an easy feat), usually wearing shorts and a button up shirt, switching to jeans if the weather is a little cold, and throwing in a hooded jacket as well. His footwear of choice outside of work is a pair of Converses.
Personality: Garret cares about money and little else. All of what he does, he does with the intention of ending up richer. Granted, this has worked for him. He is 24, and has $300,000 in savings, after paying back his father. He is self centered, and doesn't tend to think much about others. One example of this is the fact that he has little to no problem using stolen parts. He has become involved somewhat in the criminal underworld. When a car is stolen, it is hard to do anything with it. If it is driven on roads with it's old plates, they get caught out. They can't sell it. So they strip it for parts, and Garret buys what's useful from them at a discounted rate. He has also purchased a few illegal weapons from these clients, due to his garage being broken into. There have been instances where from his office, he has seen someone trying to break in on security cameras, and had to pull a gun on them.
Basically, he will ask no questions, as long as he gets paid. There have been instances where he has fixed a car up with questionable damage, then seen it on the news two weeks later used in a drive-by shooting. There are rare instances where it seems like Garret will be thinking about someone else, other than himself, but that is quite rare.
History: Garret was born into wealth. He was the second son of a stockbroker from Goldenrod City, who was considered to be at the peak of his career. His father only cared about money, spending more time at work than at home, and when he would get time off, it'd be spent on flashy holidays to other regions. Garret hardly knew his father. He was brought up more by his mother who was a stay-at-home mum. Even though she tried to bring her sons up to care about more than money and themselves, they took after their father, and became accustomed to the luxuries they lived in.
Garret was sent to the best private schools. The little time he did spend with his father, it was always mentioned how he had to do well in school, and get a job that paid well like his fathers.
Garret and his brother were surprisingly close, even though there was a seven year age difference. When Garret was fourteen, his brother was a qualified mechanic. Their father was disappointed in him for choosing such a middle class profession, that didn't pay very well, purely because he enjoyed it.
Garret would spend his weekends, and some days ditching school, in his brother's shop, watching him fix and modify cars, and learning how they worked. Over time he began to share his brother's love for cars, and appreciate the genius behind how they worked, and ditched school more and more to spend time in the workshop, as well as spending his time researching on his own. By the time he was eighteen, he was a mechanical genius, exceeding his brother's knowledge. This however was kept secret from his dad. Not that it was hard. It's not like he was around. But he knew that for his plan to work, he'd have to convince his dad that he wasn't going down a similar path to his brother.
When he finished school, he applied for a business degree in Hoenn, similar to what his father did when he was Garret's age. He got accepted. Because they could afford to pay it outright, Garret was given a loan of $250,000 from his father to cover the costs of university, and living expenses for the next four years.
However instead of going to Hoenn to study at University, Garret went in the opposite direction, getting on a plane to Alola. He had researched the Alola region and found that there were very few garages there. Most mechanic's were mobile and worked out of a van, which restricted what they could do massively. The cost of opening a proper garage there was too high for most mechanics to do. It was a market where he could use the $250,000 to get himself started, and put himself ahead of the competition. As well as to get involved with the customer base. Hau'oli City was known for it's car culture.
Garret rented a warehouse in Hau'oli City, and purchased everything he needed to make it a professional garage. He even converted one of the offices at the rear into a room for him to sleep in. He knew that he wouldn't get the business he needed straight away. So instead of advertising for his first month in Alola, he instead purchased three rolling shells. A Mazda RX5, a Nissan S15 Sylvia and a AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno. He built the cars from near nothing, modifying them heavily to beat just about anything down the quarter mile, and plastering his garage name on them. He then went to anywhere where young car enthusiasts with money to burn would meet, and wore a racing helmet to conceal his identity, challenging people to races, with the wager being in the thousands. After two weeks of doing this, he stopped. He had won enough money to cover the cost of building the cars, and done exactly what he wanted. He had got their attention.
Since then, Garret has been flat out fixing, tuning and modifying cars. Due to the specialist work he does, such as engine swaps and installing turbochargers, as opposed to just general services and repairs, he has made much more money than your standard mechanic. Two years after he moved, his father found out that he'd been lied to, and demanded the money back. Garret sent him two cheques. One for $250,000. The money he borrowed. And one for $50,000. To never contact him again.
Pokemon Team:
Alolan Golem
Sableye
Absol
Metagross
Feraligatr
Alolan Nintetales
Other:
-Garret will have a change of heart at some point.
-Golem and Metagross help him with his work in the garage. Absol and Sableye tend to guard the garage, in case of break-ins.
-Garret collects cars as a hobby, fixing them up and selling them for profit, which is where he makes a good portion of his income. As it stands, he has an S15 Nissan Silvia and FD Mazda RX7 completed, as well as a couple being built (the others mentioned in history have been sold since).

Name: Morgan “Camelot” Fey
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Appearance: Morgan is a 5’6 lean woman with shoulder length brown hair. Her eyes are a jade green and her complexion is slightly darker than a normal Hearthome native due to her recent travels. Her current outfit is a blue tank top with white shorts and white shoes. She tends to rotate hats if she chooses to wear them as well, but her outfit choices tend to change quite rapidly when she spots a new fashion store. Morgan does wear a tad bit of makeup but not so much that it looks unnatural. She could be considered pretty though she’s no model. Her most attractive feature is her laugh.
Personality: Morgan is a bubbly young woman that mainly does things because they seem fun. She tends to get distracted a bit too easily, which is why her partner, Arthur, is usually around to keep her in line. If she puts effort into it, Morgan can focus and get the job done, but it’s probably best to have someone around to keep her from getting sidetracked. Morgan also loves to eat, and upon arriving in Alola found that she would die for malasadas. She has a big appetite and gets hungry pretty easily, so she’s been known to pack a bunch of food rather than actually packing necessary supplies. Morgan is also not one to get angry. Usually if she gets mad it only lasts a few minutes before she dissolves into tears.
Morgan’s greatest strength lies in her utter determination. In the few cases where she’s not off chasing anything that catches her attention, Morgan can actually show a fiercer side that will do everything in her power to get something done. She loves sweets and clothing shopping, but is also a total sucker for Pokemon Contests, and it’s a little known secret that she wants to pursue a career as a coordinator someday. Morgan does not like aggressive people. If someone is prone to outbursts or yelling, Morgan tends to stay away from them due to the fact that she’s afraid she’ll start crying in front of them. Morgan also can’t stand to see an abandoned pokemon, and will pick up any pokemon in need no matter what pokemon they are. As a result, one of her brothers who runs a small plantation in Almia raises many of the pokemon Morgan rescues. Morgan is also allergic to shellfish.
History: Morgan was born in Hearthome City, Sinnoh. Morgan was the youngest child, with five older brothers. She grew up strolling in Amity Park, attending fashion contests, and living the pleasured life for the most part. While she wasn’t from a well off family, she still had expendable money and lived a fairly pleasant first eighteen years. She received her first pokemon, a ralts named Arthur, when she was sixteen. Morgan originally studied to be a fantasy writer, loving the myths that she had heard as a child, and she wanted to create her own or put spins on them. By the time she was nineteen, Morgan published her first book under the pseudonym “Camelot”, a revamping of the old Arthurian myths that she had heard a child. It was a bestseller right off, prompting Morgan to write even more tales. While she has yet to reveal herself as Camelot, a few theories have been going around connecting her to the author, and Morgan loves to disguise herself as another fan on online forums to discuss her works. Sometimes she even includes some of the ideas her fans bring up.
After the publishing of her first book, Morgan received the opportunity to travel through all the regions across the known world, allowing her to catch more pokemon and expand the cast within her stories. Morgan even took on a few gyms in a variety of regions, just to test her team’s abilities. Currently she has the Thunder Badge, the Soul Badge, the Zephyr Badge, the Fog Badge, the Knuckle Badge, the Dynamo Badge, the Fen Badge, the Relic Badge, the Basic Badge, the Jet Badge, the Fairy Badge, and the Sea Ruby Badge. Upon arriving in Alola, Morgan had intended to take on the Island Trials, but found some disturbing news about the Natural Order. Deciding to bring a bit more excitement into her life as well as possibly give her more inspiration for writing, Morgan decided to join Team Hourglass’s cause.
Pokemon Team:
Arthur the Gallade
Kai the Dragonite
Mordred the Aegislash
Llamrei the Rapidash
Lancelot the Bisharp
Merlin the Noctowl
Other: Nothing!

Winter, the kiddo is ready to go!
Name: Drew Abbes.
Age: 24.
Gender: Agender (they/them pronouns).
Appearance: Drew is pretty average-sized - 5’7”, with a healthy padding of muscle and fat. Their skin is reddish-tan, and their eyes are a piercing jet black. Their short hair is naturally dark, though they keep a pale violet streak dyed into the front of it. For the most part, Drew is rather androgynous, though their face is a bit more feminine pretty than masculine handsome. They keep their clothes simple, given the Alola heat - they usually keep to knee-skirts or shorts and a shirt - and they’re something of a fashionista, pulling off nearly any outfit quite well. They nearly always carry a black backpack with them, which holds their wallet, training supplies, and slightly weatherbeaten Team Skull medallion.
Personality: For the most part, Drew is a very reserved person. Slow to trust, they treat people courteously but coolly most of the time, holding everyone at arm’s length unless they have a very good reason to keep that person close or push them away. They tend to have a rather pessimistic outlook on life, believing that most of the time, things will just be struggle after struggle. They're not emotionless, but they try not to wear their heart on their sleeve and would rather eat sand than display strong emotions when they don't know how someone will react to them. That said, even around people they don't know, they can be a bit hostile at times - they don't lash out often, but if they think that they're being mocked or underestimated they go from calm and collected to frigid and nasty very quickly. They also often become jealous of accomplished people, and assume that success and arrogance are borderline synonymous.
Once they've had a chance to defrost a bit, Drew is a bit better to be around. While they are fairly selfish, believing that the only way to get what they want is to snatch it and defend it ferociously, they're very loyal to those who earn their trust and respect. They have a decent sense of humor, usually self-deprecating, and will frequently joke around with people they know. They also have a bit of a flair for the dramatic, and are rather quick and perceptive. Even around those they know, they tend to be very hesitant about sharing the full extent of their emotions and opinions, out of fear that they'll be dismissed or that the things they share will be used against them. Most of all, they really just want to be accepted and find a place where they belong, and if someone is kind to them they will do their best to make sure that person feels accepted as well.
History: Drew was born in Hau’oli City, to parents who really weren't expecting a child and didn't really know what to do with one. While Drew’s physical needs were met - they had food, clothes, education, etc - their parents were dismissive of their emotions and were too busy with their high-end jobs to properly care for them. As a result, Drew was pretty closed-off and quiet as a kid - with one exception. When they were ten, Drew spent their allowance money on a Pokeball and befriended and caught a Drowzee. Their parents were pretty annoyed with the new addition to the house, but Drew made things simpler for them when they announced that as soon as they were eleven, they would be heading off to take the island challenge.
True to their word, Drew set out a few months later after their eleventh birthday and a brief farewell to their parents. Having nothing but the meager remnants of their allowance, their clothes, and Ikika, they were under-equipped for the island challenge and, try as they might, could never seem to beat Captain Ilma’s intense trial. After a particularly humiliating beatdown, they ran into a Team Skull grunt on the street. To Drew’s surprise, the grunt wasn’t there to steal from Drew or otherwise heckle them - she was there because she had seen Drew’s trial attempts and wanted to offer the determined little scrap a place with her group. Surprised by the grunt’s friendliness, Drew agreed to join.
For the next couple of years, Team Skull was Drew’s family. They never really understood the group’s reputation as dumb, ignorant trial dropouts - most of the grunts that Drew knew had washed out of the trial or come into the group because the system put them at an unfair disadvantage, such as not having the money to keep up a battling career like Drew had been. They were eager to help Team Skull in any way they could, which, for such a young grunt, usually took the form of stealing things or providing safety in numbers with other grunts. Their team grew and flourished during this time, and for the first time in their life, they finally felt accepted. When Guzma disbanded Team Skull, Drew was crushed - their purpose had been snatched away, and they were forced to acknowledge that not only was their family drifting apart, they had been used to do horrible things in the name of the Aether Foundation. Furious at the sight of the one good thing they’d had crumbling around them, they set off on their own a second time.
Since then, Drew hasn’t been doing very much in the way of exciting things. They’ve become a career Trainer, making a fairly good living off of it, though they still don’t want to touch the island challenge or the League with a ten-foot pole. For the most part, they don’t talk much about their past, though every now and again they’ll pay a visit to Plumeria or other Skull grunts. They’re not so sure about this Team Hourglass thing - they don’t trust the Natural Order as far as they can throw it, but they’re about as skeptical about the Hourglass. Recently, they’ve started doing a little investigation into both groups, poking around to see what’s going on - and whether either of these groups might be places where they can help out and feel safe again.
Pokemon Team:
Ikika/Hypno/F
- Drew’s first Pokemon, and the one they trust most. Hates being underestimated as much as Drew does. Will not eat your dreams without permission.
Mele/Crobat/F
- The only Pokémon Drew ever stole due to the previous Trainer being abusive. A loyal teammate, but skittish with strangers. Goes fast.
Kana/Gengar/M
- Surprisingly amicable for his species. Caught as a Gastly before being trained up. Can and will tear teams in half.
Ahe/Ribombee/M
- Drew’s first catch outside of Team Skull. Pretty gentle, if a bit impish. Plays support most of the time and is pretty good at it.
Keone/Rockruff/F
- Practically demanded to join Drew’s team when they met. Drew suspects abandonment in her past. Still not much of a fighter.
Haku/Drampa/M
- Caught on a brief foray into Mt. Lanakila. Acts imperious, but is really just a gentle goofball. Lives to be petted.
Other: Drew doesn’t mind correcting people on their pronouns if need be and isn't offended when people don't magically intuit their gender, but they get very irritated if people consistently mess it up or misgender them on purpose. That said, they really don't care about the casual use of words like “dude”, “guy”, etc.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd a triple post because no one has said anything recently! So, the RP has been posted, and everyone should have gotten a ping, barring Desolate Divine because I did not realize you changed your username. XD I'll have that fixed in a bit, but it's up.
As of right now, I'm giving everyone a post or two to establish characters and such before the Natural Order Rally in Hau'oli kicks into action. To be clear, Team Hourglass has not been established as a proper Team yet, but Teri has hopes of changing that at the upcoming rally. He and Alan have been leaving little clues across Pokemon Centers in order to try to get supporters there and wearing clear signs of support.
That being said, we've also had some info roll in on the members of Natural Order's upper administration. That information is as follows:
Jonah Reve (47.) is the head of the Natural Order Group. He used to be a big businessman, but he has since stepped down following his daughter’s death as a result of a freak accident during a battle she was watching. He claims to have done a ton of research in the months that followed, and when he stepped back into the public eye, it was as the head of a group calling for the separation of Pokemon and humans.
Hershel Gallow (33.) is Jonah’s right hand man. He’s often heard at Natural Order rallies talking about how his niece was his world...until a bad run in with the Munna she had befriended left the girl in a sleep from which she couldn't wake up. He’s often seen accompanying younger administration member Corinne Moss.
Corinne Moss (22.) is the youngest member of Natural Order administration. She’s often seen in Jonah and Hershel’s company, dressed up like the perfect little girl--pretty dresses, hair in ribbons, and quiet. Those who have spent time in close proximity to her suggest she isn't as sweet and innocent as she seems in public. Granted, the fact Jonah had to pull strings to get her released from a mental institution is a little known fact, but who wouldn't have problems following a beach trip turning dark after your big brother was eaten by Palossand?
Beatrice Bennett (31.) is Natural Order’s head scientist. Not often seen at public events, but very much present in Natural Order media, the woman supposedly spends hours upon hours researching Pokemon habitat and interactions between species. In reality, she works on...pretty much whatever Jonah asks her to, and does projects in which she plays with spacial distortion on the side. Hershel won’t go near her most days due to her collection of psychic Pokemon.
*EDIT*: Accepted, Nar.

I seem to have written myself into a corner here, oops... Winter, would you happen to know approximately how long it's gonna be before we cycle over to "tomorrow" in the RP? I can't really do much with Drew til then, unless I change their first post.

I promise to jump in soon. You may have seen that I was out of town over the weekend so I haven't been able to dedicate time to a proper intro post. Hopefully that'll happen soon. If you want to jump ahead to "tomorrow" in the RP, go ahead, it may make a better segway for me. Who knows.

Alrighty guys, I'm sure you've noticed a lack of my posting recently. Sorry to say I kinda hit a big hiccup with school, and I've had to focus more on taking care of that than working on the RP, as we ll as a few other things, but hopefully I'll be able to get a reply up within the next week so we can start the next day. Also sorry for taking so long to get things to roll over, but hopefully it won't be an issue soon!
