[GAME] Pass it on!

[Nekomata]

So, just a little art game I thought would be fun and would help people get practice in various stages of the art process!

It's simple, really. One person does a sketch, one person does the line art, the next puts in the colors!

Rules:
1) Please post if you're jumping in to claim the next step so that two people don't do the same thing!
2) Keep the sketches simple! We want this to keep moving!
3) Once you claim, you have 48 hours to finish the next step- otherwise someone else can claim!
4) If you're doing Lineart, please post a transparent PNG of it so the colorist can easily work!

Note: Drawings created through this game may be made into stickers available to the public for purchase. No profits will be made off these stickers: They will exist just for fun!

Wouldn't it be better to just post the lineart as a PNG with a transparent background?

Yeah! Yesterday was incredibly busy. My Mon/Wed/Fri classes don't really let me use my laptop too much, so it's hard to get on until I get home, and well- I got home late and had to go straight to rehearsal. xD It was busy and I was too tired last night to remember. I've been watching from my phone though! I just hate posting from it! xD

I have never seen it, nor have I drawn a deoxys before so I thought, why not! And also the Random Pokemon Generator site gave it to me as an example. I wanted initially to draw it lifting weights or flexing, but I got really confused with the rice noodle arms and gave it a bouquet instead. XD

I say as long as you're not doing the same role on two images in a row or two roles on the same image, you're fine! That said, feel free to wait a bit and see if someone wants to color. xD If I could, I'd claim coloring on everything but people wouldn't be happy with that. So I'll be balancing what I do a bit here and there.

I've already bounced the idea with Noblejanobii on discord since it's been bouncing around my head for a while now, but what if we made... stickers.

Stickers out of the things we make here. Everyone involved on each doodle has to be okay with it, of course. I'd be willing to deal with the print costs and whatnot- I've done sticker runs before and it's not hard for me to order or particularly pricey or anything. Then we can mail out copies to everyone who participated- then any extra copies can go as PXR event prize goodies as necessary.

Only concern I see is that some of the images are a tad bit too small for larger sticker prints- but I could possibly get those in on sticker sheets. I've ordered a test run of a sticker sheet that, if my apartment management is the least bit competent, should arrive in my hands today. If it looks good, then we can run the smaller images in sets and the larger ones as individual stickers.

I've printed with Redbubble in the past- their stickers are pretty good quality and have held up well over the last several months since my first run in August (I've got a sticker on my laptop right where my right hand rests- it's not worn in color at all!). If I just get small individual stickers, I can get 10 for about $13 including shipping. 'Sheets' count as a single sticker. So shipping is relatively cheap. As for mailing to others- just the cost of envelopes and postage- so not a lot.

Here's the result of the test sticker sheets:

The Pokeball (with the background) stickers are just a tiny bit smaller than a quarter. The Cacnea is the size of a non-sheet single sticker. I think at the very least we can pair one or two of the smaller drawings into one to save on costs without being too small. And if people by popular demand want certain drawings to be larger, we can do some single runs too.

Alternative to me ordering and shipping to people, I can make them available on my Redbubble page (and cut the artist profit margin to 0 so I don't make any profit on it, of course) and let people order themselves. It's like 2.50 for an individual sticker, 25% off for 4, and 50% for 10. I'd probably order a few extra either way to offer as PXR event prizes and whatnot (I've already got a small stock of various stickers as is).

Making them public should be fine! All you'd need to do is add a disclaimer to the first post of the thread saying final designs may become stickers available for public purchase or whatever. :)

Practice? xD Plus I do them like ten times over until I get a good one. Also rotating the image to suit which way the stroke is going helps, too.

To clarify, they will be uploaded on my account but put at a price setting where I will not make a profit. I'll just be hosting them. I will also order a few copies to donate as prizes for events should PXR want to offer them. Also I'm a sticker fiend.
