What better way to celebrate the month of love than showing others you admire them? This event is catered for the entirety of PXR! People will work in pairs to complete fun challenges throughout the event. Those pairs that complete all the given tasks are awarded a special token (see below)! More importantly, we just want the entire community to join in and have fun so that no one feels left out this Valentine's Day. <3

There are two ways in which you can sign-up to participate in the event. The first form is for those people who already have a pair (not sure what a pair is? See this thread! (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?1224-PXR-Pairs-Thread)), or have someone willing to participate with them. Those without a pair, or anyone in mind, can use the second form to enter into the temporary buddy system! If your pair is currently inactive, feel free to abduct someone else, or use the buddy system. c;

Please Note:
Those entering into the buddy system have until February 7 to register (in your timezone)! If you register after this, it must be as a pair.
If there are an odd number of people, one pair will become a trio. This is perfectly fine, and all challenges can still be completed!
Pairs are able to register after February 7 and can still participate, but only for the days remaining.

Each pair is given a Pokemon and its counterpart to locate somewhere within a post! For example, say Chakra has Minun and I have Plusle. Chakra will have to search the forum to find a Plusle that's hidden at the bottom of a post, and I'll have to try to locate Minun! So it’s your job to find your lost pair! Once you’ve found your Pokemon, simply send in a PM with a link to the related post.

Yup! As long as you both participate the the challenge itself it will be fine. There's no specified time to wear the Avis or Banners

Ode to Chaos

The neo pink glow that radiates from her toxic locks sending out a warning sign of danger to come.
Each flash of the alluring pink light draws those dumb enough to wonder what could be into its light.
This is the same tingling the helpless victim of the angler fish feels, its heart racing in its last moments.
A quick observation of her strategized movements and one will see that they mirror that of a programed laser.
When she is not speaking she is thinking. When her eyes are fixed she is working it out. By the time she opens her mouth everything has already been thought out.
Deadly yet beautiful, shifty yet brilliant. Even in what could be considered the most erratic set of movements in the furious representation of Team Skull. She finds a purpose in mocking losers.
I once saw her grab two wallets take the cash and then somehow convince the tourist they are responsible for it. Another time I saw her tag a painting and then convince the painter she was meant to do that.
There is no danger to me when it comes to her.
The flashing lights remind me more of the soft tone of a dimly lit police station waiting room.
Her words more of the background humming that keeps everything bound together in this place.
Her cold glances a comfort as they provide you with a feeling of warm familiarity. The words themselves direct with a sting of sarcasm.
When I’m there with her, I am safe. Her companionship much like the bars of the cell that block in me, is protecting me from myself.
There is no greater thing I can say then, she can never be replaced.

Hmm, I open up the home page of the forum. Then I start at the veeeeeery top, and work my way down through each section and sub forum. My only tip is try searching the standard forums first and skip the subforums. You might get lucky. It doesn't seem like too many were placed in them so you'll cover more of the likelier areas first.

But if the one you need to find just happens to be in a subforum... don't get mad. Get even! >:3

Yeah, I started searching the subforums, and then I quickly gave up and just decided to at least try the places where mine was more likely to be. Eventually I got it and did a happy dance, because my eyes were starting to go funny.

Glad to have been able to host such an awesome event! We're glad everyone seems to have enjoyed it too! We've got a few general notes now for things that seemed to have worked, caused issues, or problems. So if anyone has thoughts or feedback on it that would be greatly appreciated for the later Pairs thing to come. Thanks you for the understanding and participation! =D

You can still spread the icons out through the whole forum, but tell each person their icon will be in one of three sections, for instance. ^^

We did decide to leave them out from sub-forums next time. Assuming there is a next time with hiding icons. That along with giving out hints to sections to everyone from the start. I figured like with the Easter egg thing they were all over the forum. Excludingba few sections. Keeping them outside of subforums along with giving out small hints to each icon would be a big help I agree. It'll have a better way to search next time for sure!

It was set so that the "Perfect Pair" token would be given to the Pairs that complete all challenges. Which is where the name of it came from. That's why we kept trying to remind everyone of the challenges they have left with the list the last few days and mentions the last 2 days. To make sure anyone looking to finish it completed what was left. Gemma not I got the massage from your partner finding their icon either. I think they may not have found it due to the difficulty. Which will be revised come the. Ext time this happens (assuming we hide icons like this again).

Glad to hear it, Max! Good to hear you both had fun! =D. That's one thing we were aiming for. So that both pairs had to work together to complete challenges. To have fun together and create something awesome together. Reaching and end goal together. Working together as a pair to create something awesome! Originally we expected a larger turnout for finishing the challenges. So we didn't prepare on a backup "participation"token in advance. It does make me feel bad for those that worked hard and get nothing in the end. I thought about giving the ones that complete them all the token anyway, but Gem and I are working on something to go for participation. So if you receive a random token out of nowhere. Well, you guys will know why xD.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it too, Sarah! Thanks for letting us host this awesome event alongside the Valentines event. That last part wouldn't have been the same without your help either! So thank you once again too! Hopefully in the future we can work to improve the mini event and possibly just make it monthly or something. For a fun challenge at times. Hey we were just glad to be able to host an awesome new event. Hopefully once the actual Pairs thing gets started. We can have things more simplified or something so that once an event for it starts it'll be easier on everyone and less questions. We appreciate all the hard work everyone else put in that helped made this event successful! =D
