Emissary, I couldn't be more grateful for your decision to help Valdyne. Here lies the gateway that leads to the world of Pokémon--specifically a land named Valdyne. But before you step forward, I need to inform you about what has been happening...
Since their initial appearance in the land of Aryia, the demonic spirits known as "Enthrallers" have remained dormant for some time. Pokémon were able to live in peace and harmony, free from the twisted sins of these abhorrent dark spirits... Until recently, when bizarre happenings were noted time and again in a bustling industrial area known as Silvercoal City. I have affirmed that these things, these "Stalkers" have returned and seek only to ignite powerful flames of death, destruction, and evil deeds.
This is where you Emissaries come in. Legendary Pokémon such as myself are just as susceptible to the devilish powers of these cretins as any other Pokémon; in fact, if we were to become Stalkers ourselves, the havoc that would be wreaked upon the world would be utterly catastrophic. This is why all but I must stay away. You see, I have powers that can help to protect you from these Stalkers, but it will have to be you brave souls who investigate Silvercoal City to identify and vanquish these Stalkers before they can bring about what unknown darkness they plan to unleash.
If Aryia's suffrage taught us something, it is that there is an alternative way of stopping these Stalkers. The details are not clear, but it is rumoured that somewhere in the city lies hallowed ground which can be awoken and used to help banish the deadly and dastardly Enthrallers. This can dispel them all at once, but the steps are not quick or easy. Otherwise, the Emissaries will have to take matters into their own hands however they see fit...
However, we don't have much time. The Stalkers continue to kill off members of Silvercoal City, and if they manage to extinguish enough lives, their plans may come to fruition. This is why you must stop them before this happens. I have been able to narrow down a list of suspects, all of whom have the potential to be possessed by an Enthraller. These are the only civilians you may speak with, as the rest are unable to interact with you.
