Storyline/Plot:

In all the lores and myths of the Thapos region, Pokemon with such power had never been seen before. Pokemon with the power to cause destruction and re-create worlds. But because of their discovery, people have been after them for years. The citizens of the Thapos Republic, formed a great democratic government, under the influence of these Pokemon. Things went on well for a certain period of time. But then the Era of Darkness came, and Thapos has been shrouded by scams and schemes. People have decided to take advantage of this weakness in the government, and bring the people under them, so they can bring themselves to the top of the tower. Who will stop these people and bring back justice to the society? Only you can answer that question in Pokemon Heat Wave & Pokemon Hail Storm!

Explore the brand new Thapos region! Catch all new Pokemon, and build up your power to finish 1st place in the Thapos Regional Tournaments! Fight the mischievous Team Blizzard and Blaze. And other things in Pokemon Heat Wave & Hail Storm!

Sounds interesting! I'm not really interested in politics though and I do have to wonder how it fits in with Pokemon. Your links are broken, too. It appears that you've included the ellipses in the links. xD

I would totally join up to be a spriter, but I've got enough on my plate at the moment, haha. I can't wait to see some more screenshots and such! When did you begin the project? What made you want to use RPG Maker rather than hack a ROM? I'm guessing more freedom. Also if you want to upload screenshots that aren't tiny little thumbnails, you can use an image hosting site and the [img] tags. :]

And finally, are you afraid of Nintendo's crappy, nonsensical legal department hunting down the game and forcing you to remove it? -_- *shakes fist*

Oh, you will see how it all fits together! We are going for a bit of a more mature theme! But still trying to give the new pokemon game feeling. We began the project about a week ago, honestly. Our team has been very interested in making the game so we have been making alot of progress. Also RPG Maker XP allows for more customization. And I wanted to do a 5th gen game. So I wouldn't want to hack a 5th gen rom really. And let me fix those link.

And I guess I am a little afraid of what Nintendo is doing. But we plan on releasing the game during times, where nintendo is not releasing any new Pokemon Games.

Ooh, this looks like a really interesting project! Politics is something that doesn't often crop up when you think of Pokémon, so this has the potential to be a really interesting project. Is your avatar one of the available Fakemon (or Mega Electivire), by any chance? Also, is the Fakemon you posted an Eeveelution? Just little guesses of mine.

Nah, we decided to make our game entirely a fakemon game. So you won't see any Pokemon in the game. Only our artist's well crafted fakemon!

Meet Primbud, The grass starter of the regions of the Kharukai Territory!

Primbud-
The Bud Pokemon. The flower buds that are scattered around a female Primbud’s body may seem to be harmless, but the buds can easily Paralyze any predators that it may come by. Sadly, many young children mistake the bulbs as being safe and are sent for medical attention. While Male Primbuds do not have flower buds, they are found to raise attack when attacked.

Meet Irodillo, The fire starter of the regions of the Kharukai Territory!
Irodillo-
The Armadillo pokemon. This pokemon eats scrap metal and melts it inside its stomach to fuel its fire abilities. If the molten metal in the pokemon ever cooled, it would become very sick.

Meet Newtie, The water starter of the regions of the Kharukai Territory!

Newtie-
The Newt Pokemon. It lazes around on logs in swamps. The snot bubble it produces while sleeping is poisonous, so if it’s popped, the poison would contaminate a curious Pokemon.

I think one thing that would be cool if you're not already planning it, is trainer customisation! Even if you can just earn different hats throughout the game, that would be fun. I love that sort of thing!
