Do you buy event cards for people, or do you create your own?

I've always made my own birthday cards. I like to make them colorful and stuff.

I thought it was someone's birthday and I was about to wish them a happy birthday.

I buy cards. Otherwise I just spend ages on them and we usually don't have nice paper so yeah... unless it's a special occasion. Like, super special.

I like making cards. I always make them for my family for birthdays and holidays. I don't have a lot of craft stuff but I've gotten good at using the folder of random paper and stuff that I have to make nice patterns and things. xD

LOL count me in on thinking it was someones birthday, I was firing up the gif-tastic gif-ometer, when I read the post XD. I usually buy birthday cards, the funnier, or off the wall the better. I have two left feet when it comes to anything not needing stick figures, sooo yeah. I know, I know, it's the thought that counts, but the thought of a guy who's turning thirty getting a "yay you've turned 6" strawberry shortcake card seems infinitely funny to me.

XD like Xanthe and Sarah I thought it was someone's birthday. I was about to jump on top of that. Typically we buy cards for family. My friends just ask for things so they usually don't even get a card. Though I think they'd like it if they got one from me. If I take the time and think it out. I coooould make it creative.....I think xD

I was all like "HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHO?!". xD Generally these days I buy cards, but I used to make them all the time when I was little. I still write personal messages and draw some little scribbles here and there, though. I can never give a gift without a card. xD

I'm pretty bad at making real cards, but I don't like just sending something you could buy anywhere, so I mostly make E-cards for people instead.

I've never made cards, but whenever I end up picking a card out it will be after several minutes of looking at just about everyone and it's always something pretty corny. I enjoy writing, but when it comes to being artistic and designing cards, I'm not very great at it.
