I'm actually leaning more on the side of having you do it, as I just think it looks better if they're all uniform rather than having three very starkly different styles. Plus you ROCK at making those things.

I got started on my drawn art stuff. The sketch is almost done and so far looks pretty sweet. You know your work is good when you smile while drawing it!

FINALLY finished Drawn Art! What a doozy that was, but I think it came out pretty well even though I had to keep dropping it to go do other things. Great job to everyone else braving that section! The competition in there is pretty fierce!

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get a Comic submission done and add some more to the Creative Writing entry I have going. The Creative Writing stuff is definitely challenging to incorporate all the parameters, but it's a fun curveball to work with. :3

Holy frick, I just barely made the comic submission time. I'll admit, what I originally had in mind was a lot more serious, but the character I was trying to draw wasn't working out and I just wasn't feeling it. It got to the point where I was just throwing random crap at the board and nothing was working.

This is one of those rare cases where procrastination actually helped a bit. After a lousy night of trying to come up with a working character design and a lousy night of Overwatch... well, the gears got turning. XD I'll admit, this will probably be a lot easier and more fun to work with. XD

Now it's just Creative Writing I need to tackle.

(second section) As Judge I don't want to influence the making too much (though any questions on what or wouldn't look good can be asked in the event thread) but I felt I should at least remind everyone that the portfolio is due this sunday!

As for the portfolio, urf... my hands are so full with other stuff right now and I can barely keep up with it all as is.

Anyway, the portfolio doesn't need anything new, just taking what we already have and putting it one place. Describe our process for coming up with the name/theme, describe what we've used the theme for in the RP, list out our slogans, show off some art/event pieces featuring our team (even if it's just the mascot) Heck, include that Skarmory became our unofficial mascot.

Also It's a team event, so you as the team leader doesn't have to do it, anyone can. It just can't be me since I'm the spirit event judge.

Kinda disapointed i didn't finish my creative writing in time... I chose to get that graphic art piece in instead. But I did have two weeks to do the writing... so yeah, bummed. Hopefully I'll finish it for this two weeks. The prompt is pretty open, I just need something to start my gears up.

Just as a reminder, the spirit portfolio is supposed to be due today! If anyone's rush putting it together right now, feel free to use my 2nd week drawn art piece and my graphic art piece. I'd put it together myself but... well I'm the judge so I really can't. Put up a good show guys! The other two teams are rocking it with their presentations.

Well, I had wanted all the portfolios in on sunday, but I'm not going to refuse anyone who puts them in late. They'll just lose points in the long run but it won't be as bad as not putting one in at all.

As for how to put the portfolio together, I'd suggest taking a look at what GO and PP put in. They followed mostly the same format with their own twists so they came out great.

And oh god do not, NOT stop working on your art or your comics or anything. The spirit section is completely separate from the main scoring. It only affects the team event I put together, not the over-all scoring. There's another portfolio for weeks 3-4 so anything you do after now can still be shown off.

And Neo, I think It's pretty impressive how much stuff you can get in with such good quality. You're Judging the RP (and participating), done drawn and graphic art, humor, AND Comics. And it still looks better than anything I've put in. I'm totally not jealous Your Drawing is amazing and Team charm was a genius idea. (It was so perfect I was surprised you hadn't linked their theme song along with the art) Your Graphic art was much more thought out than mine, and I gave up finishing my creative writing to do mine, and you did both. Humor may not take nearly as long, but you still took time to do it. The only person who's doing more than you is Noble, who;s participated in literally everything except the sprite art she's judging.

So don't feel bad about being overwhelmed. If I was the spirit judge, I would have happily jumped to put the portfolio together. But... as it is I can only offer advice on what to do and put out reminders.

Yeah, I have no clue how Noble does as much as she does. But I guess when you love Shaymin and your whole team is themed after your favorite Pokemon, I imagine that instills a kind of "adrenaline mode." While Gracidea Order is pulling ahead, we still have a chance to push ahead here.

I saw it and it's an awesome job! I kind of have my doubts about being able to finish mine in time, though. I know we had three weeks but I just haven't had too much time to do very much.

I may not be able to get my Drawn Art done in time either. I tried doing the line art for it yesterday and I just never felt happy with it no matter how much I tried to change things around. :P

It's not a problem. Trust me, there are days when I come home from work and I absolutely can't work on submissions. I need to do something else to unwind and relax. Fair enough, that's one of the reasons I prefer using Traditional Drawing pencils. You can just whip out a drawing book and your pencil set and draw anywhere.

Usually when I visit the beach there's at least a few periods of just sitting under a pavilion and relaxing with a book or whatever pastime you felt like doing while enjoying the outdoors. We didn't get one in for the first two weeks so our team doesn't really have a chance of winning, so don't worry about trying to out-do everyone else, but it would be nice to show a little representation.
