Suicune's Fire Thanks. I'm really enjoying doing these. Finally got the hang of photoshop I think.
How's this? I didn't know how much smaller you wanted so I took some of the height and width but mostly the width. This is it compared to mine to see the size difference. Just let me know if you want it bigger or smaller and I will adjust it. I did try and place the shadow fireball a little more to the left but the misdreavus obscures it a bit too much and makes it barely readable.

My idea for Drawn Art is related to our team (hint: it's your favorite lizard-shaped desert rat, Jones) but I'm open to discussing other ideas since the theme didn't grab me super hard and I still have plenty of flex! I don't think we need to keep those plans private since the judges can literally see if people are stealing ideas. Not to mention that if it's relevant to the team, nobody else can really use it well.

Besides that, the Creative Writing theme doesn't scream at me, personally, so I'm gonna bow out (this will probably be the case for the next four weeks; I don't tend to participate in the Creative Writing section because short stories aren't my thing), but I'm definitely all-in on Comics and RP and pretty sure I can get something together for Drawn Art. :>

For drawn art I was going to do something possibly relating to the RP idea. Something like a scene where all our Pokemon from our team are messing about at a beach that our team took over or some pool or something. Not going to try and do too much though, then it would look too crowded, so whoever wants their Pokemon to be featured give me a very short description of their Pokemon (as in anything different to usual Pokemon. Such as scar, clothes, tattoos etc.)

do you think it would be too much to add a very subtle beach scene behind? Just a colour wash of yellow for sand and blue for sea. not sure if it will be enough for the two silhouettes but at the same time not sure if the two things will go together well.

I'm probably signing up for the Showdown event myself, but other than that I need to think of something to go for the RP post. Since I'm not well-versed in making these posts. I may need some ideas thrown my way in which you guys think I should start out. Have them meet up with another from our team or what. Some form of interaction or something in prep for things to come. I'm still not sure.

Just got my watercolours. Going to experiment a bit to get the technique.

I've done three designs, so far. I think I prefer C so I might go with that for the final thing. The pictures don't really do it justice.

I've submitted my sprite art entry for this week, Lets hope I've managed to top Sarah's great entry. Now I'm going to work on the drawn art. I've got some really good competition in the drawn art so far so need to up my game. haha.

How's this guys. Took ages to get it how I want it. Not sure how I think about it at the moment though. It is purposefully meant to be messy, I think it exaggerates the fact it is watercolour. It was a real challenge to still get it in the shape I wanted it. Hopefully that looks like a zorua as well.

Hi guys. So, this week's theme for graphic art is a recruitment poster for our team. I did poster design at uni this year so I should be quite good at this. I'm thinking of going for a graffiti theme to capture the prankster theme of our team and also keep the dark purple/blue/green colour scheme we have. you guys have any suggestions?

Judging is starting to come in now. We managed to grab 60 points so far! The Gracedea Order is 26 points ahead but lets hope we can close the gap.

The poster is off to a good start, but I would definitely create more highlights at the top of the "world" so that there's more value contrast between it and the background. I would also maybe create a border around the dark red text or change its color, so that there's more value contrast there, too. It looks pretty strong already and I love the colors, but value contrast is everyone's best friend and adding a little more can make it really pop.

Ok, I have kind of COMPLETELY ditched the original design. My lecturer's words were bouncing round my head with the graphic design sins I had done, so I simplified it, played around more with typography and come up with this. I have changed the text colours for the highlights because I agree there wasn't enough and it was hard to read sometimes. I may change the background a bit too. I just can't help feeling something is missing. I've tried to put in Zorua but can't find a good place where it doesn't mess up the design.

Hey, just a warning that my participation this week and possibly next week is probably gonna be a little low due to stress and headspace issues. I'll still try to reply in RP within a decent timeframe, but I don't really have the energy to crank out posts, and the Drawn Art prompt doesn't grab me much and that plus a minor art block that I'm trying to keep from becoming a major art block means I'm probably gonna duck out of Drawn Art this week. I'm still working on my Comics entry but that's gonna take a fair bit longer (I'm probably gonna be submitting it reeeeal close to the deadline) and I'm not sure how polished I'll be able to make the art in this timeframe. Sorry to suddenly drop a bummer on you guys, but I gotta let my brain rest ^^'.

Looks like we didn't manage to get to the top in terms of points, I did kind of loose momentum after week 2, sorry for that. However, I think our team has been amazing over the last few weeks and I've really enjoyed PXFire and being a Prankster.
