This I would actually think about buying, since I usually play at home anyways. As long as the HDMI isn't encrypted, it solves the screen cap issue (sort of) by allowing the use of the Elgato and other screen capping equipment to record at least the top screen.

It would've made more sense to do this for the Wii U from the outset, I'm sure that would have boosted sales quite a bit. Too bad though SMH. The best ideas are always fantasies LOL

I'd still be portable, you'd just be able to sync it to the tv. :P Like a laptop. Just because you have the ability to connect it to a television, doesn't mean that you can't use it away from home.
