Having used Investigate, am I supposed to post again during its second cycle?

You don't have to. I'll announce the results of your Investigate when the Day 2: Day cycle starts. You can just sit back, relax, and nibble on a cookie in the meantime.

So I noticed our Mission Disclosure thing went up this round. Does that mean something someone did during this round alerted a Stalker to us? Or is it just to do with the way Shala died? Neo Emolga

How does type immunities like poison and steel, electric and ground, fighting or normal and ghost impact interviews?

That bump up in Mission Disclosure wasn't related to Shala, but... that's all I'm saying. :x

How does type immunities like poison and steel, electric and ground, fighting or normal and ghost impact interviews?

It's on the same level as being "not very effective." So for example, a psychic to dark would add more to modesty the same way fire on water does.

So if I ghost interviews a normal type it just cancels out then? Since they're both "not very effective" against each other?

So if I ghost interviews a normal type it just cancels out then? Since they're both "not very effective" against each other?

When it comes to Interviews, it's as if the Pokemon you're interviewing is defending and you're attacking using whatever type(s) your character's is (in Madder's case, Ghost and Fairy each time).

So if you have a ghost type interviewing a normal type, it's modesty that's being accounted for during the interview (because that attack is ineffective against the defending type). The only time the whole type chart thing doesn't get factored is if both the interviewee (defending) Pokemon and the player share a type. In that scenario, the interview becomes more positive because they kind of see each other more as kin. However, since BOTH of your character's types get factored, while one can be shared, the other might intimidate. For example, if you were a Pidgeot with Normal/Flying and you were interviewing a Jumpluff, you'd get +1 and have a more positive interview because you share Flying, but that SAME flying type is super-effective against Jumpluff's Grass type, so it would also count toward Intimidation.

Positive reactions come from either sharing a type with that Pokemon (regardless of whatever it's super effective or not very effective), and/or being an evolution stage that's roughly similar to the interviewee.

If you need more examples, I could give some more. I know it's a tinge bit complicated (and it took quite a while to develop this whole system), but if you need more info or if you want me to tell you what the outcome of a certain interview would be like just to understand it a bit better, that's totally fine. :3

Can the Mission Disclosure ratio go down? Or does it only rise?

It only rises. But they still have 90% more to go.

Okay--this is why I'm wary of interviewing this go round...

Yeah, no shinies for NPCs.

Cool.
If we happened to protect a Stalker, would that keep them from attacking someone else?

Ack, sorry I missed this one!

That actually makes perfect sense and I didn't think of this possibility, but yeah. They can't really kill anyone if someone else is there constantly keeping watch on them. XD

are there any mal effects of exorcising a non-stalker?

However, if it is used on an innocent Pokémon, the Pokémon still dies and the fatality still adds one point to the Doom Tracker.

Yeah... there's some bad stuff.

Am I able to go in and disarm traps in a place with my security perk eg {Odd-Looking Statue: Missing Shroud} #Threatening Gaze# (3 Sanity Damage)? I know it can be done with items but not sure about locations. If yes is there still a risk I can be injured by it when trying to disable it?

You can, no risk! There's only the chance of it going off when it is first discovered, but if you know it's there and you're using the Security Perk on it specifically, you're safe.

Can I disarm both traps on [Sigil of the Last Payment] #Mind Ravage: Psychic# (2 Sanity Damage) #Suicidal Infliction# (2 Health Damage) at the same time or do I have to pick one?

You dismantle everything! It's all one trap, just two different effects, so yeah, you'll knock out all of that junk when you disarm it. The Mind Ravage is Psychic-based while the Suicidal Infliction is not, that's where the separation lies, but yeah, that's all under one trap.

When you say there's a beige stalker sample, what does that mean? Is it referring to pokemon in the pokedex listed as brown? Or does it include others? Is it pokemon that appear beige?

Not going by the Pokedex. I might have mentioned it before, but it only gives a clue. As a good example, you could get dark gray, white, and yellow fur from an Emolga. So that's why I'm not really using what the Pokedex mentions. Beige in this regard is like a light brown, cream-like color.

From Wikipedia:

Beige is variously described as a pale sandy fawn color, a grayish tan, a light-grayish yellowish brown, or a pale to grayish yellow.

Basically this kind of color:

I'm a bit confused with the order on things that require multiple perks/items to unlock.

So in the example in the rules...

POP QUIZ!

How could you activate something like {Locked Steel Door: Triangle Hole, Square Hole / <Lockpick> / ^Small Pokémon^}?

If you said there are three possible methods, you're right!

First method: Fill the Triangle Hole and Square Hole with two items. Something like [Crimson Triangle Stone] and [Azure Square Stone] would most likely go here.

Second method: Use the Lockpick Perk.

Third method: Have a small-sized Pokémon approach the door. This will likely mean there's a small broken window or open door ventilation grate they can slip through.

I actually would have read {Locked Steel Door: Triangle Hole, Square Hole / <Lockpick> / ^Small Pokémon^} as:

Method one: [Crimson Triangle Stone] plus [Azure Square Stone]
OR
Method two: [Crimson Triangle Stone] plus Lockpick
OR
Method three: [Crimson Triangle Stone] plus Small Pokemon

But actually the triangle hole and square hole are one thing there. So like if it was maths I would put
{Locked Steel Door: (Triangle Hole, Square Hole) / <Lockpick> / ^Small Pokémon^}

...which makes it a bit clearer.

When I look at the thing we just found:

{Locked Down Elevator: Badly Damaged Control Panel, <Repair> / <Science>}

I would read that as:

Method one: Control Panel Circuitry plus Repair
OR
Method two: Control Panel Circuitry plus Science
-----> It seems like this is the actual case based on the description in the reply to Emerald finding it???

So in this case it would be:

{Locked Down Elevator: Badly Damaged Control Panel, (<Repair> / <Science>)}

...which is different to the example in the rules. According to the rules it should (or at least could) actually be:

Method one: Control Panel Circuitry plus Repair
OR
Method two: Science
-----> Not the case since we didn't unlock it with just Science in Emerald's post

And it would look like:

{Locked Down Elevator: (Badly Damaged Control Panel, <Repair>) / <Science>}

So I guess what I'm saying is that some round brackets to show the order of things like in maths might be useful. xD

And to confirm, do we still need Repair AND the Circuitry or just the Circuitry? :D

Neo Emolga

You need just the circuitry at this point.

And hmm, that does sound like a nice improvement to the formatting!
