Yeah it seems like they will be giving access to their maps/data like where pokestop and gyms are and a different company set up by Warner Brothers will be making the actual game. But yeah I hope this doesn't take away too much from Pokemon Go, there's still so much they need to fix and implement. This Harry Potter game won't be as popular as Go was at the start but there are still plenty of fans out there I think. I'd be interested except for the fact that I wanna keep playing Pokemon Go when I'm out and about and I can't run both at the same time xD

I also don't really think HP lends itself to the format as well as Pokemon. The whole point of Pokemon is to find, battle and catch monsters out in the wild. I'm not really sure how the exploring the world aspect relates to a Harry Potter game. Some people suggested finding potion ingredients or spells but that's kind of boring. Will be interesting to see though.

Sadly it's like here in America it's all about hate, racism, and the "younger" kids today not being educated. Someone always throwing the blame to someone else. It's why so many think they can just get away with it. Not just that, but the punishment system isn't that great either. Try Japan's punishment system then get back to us haha.

I can't believe Niantic is doing that. Right now focusing on the current Pokémon GO project takes focus. At least til you can handle it no problem. Makes me wonder how it's going to turn out though.

So, in other news, I've been trying to 100% the pokedex before Ultra Sun's released. So far I'm at 75%, but I realised that I'll need those other fossil pokemon... Also I don't have a Litten. Anyone got one spare? :P

I keep checking for more news about Ori and the Will of the Wisps but there's still nothing more beyond the teaser trailer.

To be honest, that's probably the one and only game I'm looking forward to right now. Can't really think of anything else I'm all that interested in.

Yeah the new Ori is something I'm eagerly awaiting new information on xD. Sadly nothing yet aside from Ori and Sein being added to some fighting game recently. More fan made game, but still a fighter nonetheless.

I am actually super excited for USUM. What makes it even worse is that these were the first games I had a firm uncertainty that I wouldn't be able to get. Thanks to Kaoru I might be able to play Ultra Moon (gotta go through all the effort of hacking my 3ds first) but I was kinda hoping to play Ultra Sun. Oh well. We'll see.

That is only GameFreak's word. No one else has chimed in saying that's all for the 3DS for Pokemon. Buuuuuuut, I personally would LOVE to see a PMD game on the Switch! Just imagine the possibilities! All main series Pokemon games after USUM will be on the Switch. Spin-offs and more are still debatable

Also, Shruikan. I can work on breeding it for you, but it probably won't be until Sunday if that's okay? I'll use my trusty 6IV Ditto too! :D

Yeah I've just been busy with work, RL stuff, and helping prepare for an USUM event. All while addicted to Breath of the Wild right now XD.

Uhhh...so a friend of mine originally had one and duplicated t for me in X. After I did calculations on it. It WAS or IS seen as 6IV, but the actual value is not 31. Then I found one of those traders through GTS on Youtbe and got a full 31 (6IV) Ditto there just by following their steps. Traded a Spearow for it xD. Only thing that was missing before that was a Destiny Knot for my old one, but it was traded with the new one. So looking for something with good IVs let me know and I'll see what I can do! I'm just not good breeding for natures, egg moves, etc. just IVs now xD

Then again Sun and Moon pushed me away so much I've hardly played it.

Doing well. My dad really milked hard on the free stuff restaurants and places have for Veteran's Day. Free breakfast at Friendly's, free lunch at Friday's, free haircut at Great Clips, and then topped it off with free dinner at Olive Garden. XD

If you're just trying to get a regular Litten, I usually just breed my starter in the games and put it on the GTS for the other starters and get one pretty quick. The GTS is pretty good if you make a reasonable request because most people are completely unreasonable so your offer will stand out in a good way. XD Not sure how active the GTS is now though, this was shortly after the games came out.

Haha, Alolan Vulpix was the first Pokémon I bred. I HAD to have one. It could get you down right near ANYTHING the first week of release too. Anyway, nah not really anything. Nothing specific really right now. :)

I never got around to breeding Pokemon in Sun. :P

I did it with Gold and Ruby, but never really bothered with it after that. If you don't really competitively battle, then it's kind of not really needed.

Yeah, I only really started breeding in XY, because I wanted to try out Battle Maison. Ditto for Sun/Moon and Battle Tree, though the existence of Bottle Caps makes breeding a lot less time consuming. Because yeah, those facilities are almost impossible without competitive-built Pokemon.

I like doing that too! I did it a LOT on XY and it was pretty easy once I found a Ditto Safari and got a bunch of great IV/nature Ditto! Never found the motivation to start doing it in SM though. I just didn't enjoy the game as much, I guess. I also didn't wanna transfer my competitive guys from ORAS to SM as you can't transfer back and the Battle Maison is way more fun. :/

All my guys are on my Moon cartridge right now. I enjoyed battling them competitively quite a bit. I didn't even breed for stats. I enjoyed using the mons without perfect stats and using them in competitions. I did that a lot during the ORAS era. But to be fair it was much easier to grind back then as well.

I actually went back and started watching a lot of them. I liked the Jirachi movie. It's one of my favorites too along with Celebi and Manaphy. I still haven't seen a few, but the new one I went to see in the theater here. I really enjoyed it! Like a whole twist on the start of the series. Then some other surprises too! ;)

I actually really dislike the series before the voice change. Pre D&P Ash was horrible.

The art style of the anime has changed rather dramatically. On the other hand, Sun & Moon are IMO the best series so far. Instead of Ash & co spending 20+ episodes of random filler to get toa single episode gym battle before returning to the road of random meaningless encounters, it has a larger core cast, and very little character of the day plots, instead giving more screentime to the main characters, how they interact, and developing thier characters.

If that's not to your liking, XY&Z was pretty much the complete opposite in every way, while still having good character development.

Both are vast improvments over the constant whining of Ash & Misty while Brock contibutes nothing bar a running gag that most people seem to adore.

The new voices are REALLY jarring if you go back and compare them to the old ones. I've kinda gotten used to them though. I stopped watching like 1/4 through BW though. Saw a bit fo XY which I liked, Serena is interesting. I don't really like the new art style of SM but am interested in watching it sometime. That's cool if they expanded the cast, sounds like a way better idea. I have no idea who is actually in it though. *goes to look* xD

I've only watched a couple of the Sun/Moon episodes. I was curious to know what Alolan Raichu is like in the anime, so I watched that episode where they race with pancakes (most random idea ever). Wasn't bad but again they recycled the Raichu as Pikachu's bully theme again.

It's not actually that bad? Sure it looks a lot different but it's better than some of the other rebooted cartoon animation styles I've seen as of late. One of the major perks to this art style is that they can exaggerate expressions a lot more, which makes it a lot funnier when this is done correctly, which it usually is. And while I can't do much about voice actors, you have to remember Veronica Taylor is 51 years old and she has a child that is my age. She stayed on the Pokémon project for about ten years, which is incredible. Most shows don't even last that long and if they do voice actors usually get replaced or swapped out a lot sooner. With a show going on as long as Pokémon has, voices are going to change. Personally, I really like Sarah Natochenny's voice for Ash. The difference between them has never been that jarring for me unless I go watch like the first ever episode and the latest episode but that's probably moreso due to sound recording from the 90s versus now rather than a difference in voice actors. And while I can't say much for the Brock and Misty episode because it hasn't aired in America yet, I'm hoping they go with Michele Knotz and Bill Rogers. Sure they're not the original voice actors but just hearing any iteration of their voices again would be great.

If something as simple as animation and voice actors is stopping you from enjoying a show with a bunch of character depth and a really compelling story then you're never going to truly enjoy some of the best parts of what anime and tv shows can give you. You want to know why Unova is my least favorite season despite being one of my favorite regions in the games? It's because until N and Team Plasma got introduced, nothing happens. Sure, the animation was great, it didn't deviate from the DPPt style too much, but the story was awful. Until we had the whole meloetta arc with giovanni and co. the whole thing was just utterly lackluster. But Sun and Moon? Every episode has some purpose. It's all about character and story development, and the Japan side of the series is really kicking it into gear.

My point is, love the series for the story. Pokémon has never been about fancy animation or voice acting. It's been about forming bonds with other people and deepening those friendships, with Sun & Moon has clearly taken to heart, both in the games and in the anime.

True, but one of the major reasons I also gave up watching the anime was because I grew tired of Ash and his story. I might have gotten used to the voice actors in time, but it was still the same kid forever and ever. It felt as though I kept waiting and waiting for his character to develop and mature, and just when I thought it was happening, boom, new region, new series, and there was a hard reset on everything, as if what happened in the previous seasons was really no longer relevant. That happened too many times for me to tolerate. It was done in such a way that it didn't even make sense anymore.

I wouldn't hold it against someone giving up a particular anime if it runs for so, so, so long and there's nothing prepared for the end conclusion that really defines the character and wraps up the overall plot. I dropped out of Bleach for the same reason. It was really good at first, but then I just got bored of it after episode 100 or something.

I just like things that have an actual ending to it. Otherwise they just run on for so long that eventually you get tired of it.

On that I agree. The Anime should have had Ash win the Sinnoh League like it was building up to all series, then replaced him with a new protagonist. Or the Kalos league. Or any of the leauges for that matter. Ash has had his time, just like Brock did. But since he's so iconic they refuse to write him out. :/
The biggest flaw with Sun & Moon is that they didn't replace Ash with Hao. He has pretty much the same personality, isn't even in the series otherwise, and even has a Pikachu!

That's the big thing. It's not all about the challenges. Some people actually wanna see all his hard work and improvements and maturity actually GAIN something. Like a league Master title. I would've LOVED to see him win the Kalos League. Everyone was cheering for it. Heck people that hadn't kept up with the series throughout any of the XY journies suddenly heard about how well he was doing. Only to CHOKE aim the finals. No, it's not all about the adventures. Sometime, he's gotta win. It's not like winning means it's over, he's the best. There's another region out there waiting for an adventure and more trainers he yet to face. So there's tons of opportunity to take it further.

Oh I agree, I’d love to see him win. Both with Sinnoh and Kalos he totally deserved it. But at the same time it’s fun to watch him go through each new region with newfound determination each time. Makes me feel a little better when I screw up, because then I know I’m not the only one that let people down. Besides, the story prior to the league is more where my tastes are anyway. That’s what you need to appreciate. Personally, I don’t care about the league. It’s fun to watch but I already know he’s going to lose. I’m more in for the story and character development, which I get to see every season because it’s good stuff.

They only did a 1 off special episode on BRT and EoT/EoD and then Sky. GTI had a 2 commercial trailer animations not episode. PSMD didn't have any at all.

I did try Generations, but it didn't hit me very well in the long run. Trust me, if they can pull if doing what they have I the main series right now, they can make a good PMD series. Same with how Generations and Origins were. It doesn't have to be canon. It could be it's own story or side story never heard of before.

When it comes to filler it's unavoidable. That's not really an issue. One issue to me as I mentioned was repetitiveness. So like, starting a new regions fresh, like he's never even started before, struggles yet improves until then end. When he just ends up choking. Then starts over as if it ever happened and he never grew and learned from those mistakes in the first place. Like Neo said, it's as if he's gotten younger in Sun and Moon's anime. I haven't seen any of the Sun and Moon anime yet, but I might check it out for curiosity sake. Maybe that Pikachu and Alolan Raichu episode. Give it the chance it deserves. .

I mean I can understand why Pikachu was so weak at that point, but after all they've been through at that point. Pikachu could have easily quick attacked or Iron Tailed the baby Snivy and on shot it. Whether Pikachu was sick or not. I mean it was struck by a Legendary Pokémon (Zekrom) with a powerful lightning bolt. So it had adverse effects on Pikachu

All that aside, yeah it's just not good the way things are looking. It's about time he actually wins an official League. XY&Z being the final conclusive proof to that. He has the potential, but the writers screw that over each and every time.

That's one thing I liked about the new movie. Not really spoilers, so don't worry. They bring back the old classic Ash (excluding the voice). From the way he acts so confident in his actions. Especially one big fact. When he gets serious :)

They weren't just like some screw ups. They actually almost accomplished their goals and actually took time to plan hints before they acted. They didn't just show up and "we're here for your Pikachu!" Ash:"No!" Insert pointless typical battle BOOM! Blasting off yada yada. They actually had plans and just came across Ash and the others randomly. After that season. It was back to their old terrible habits of showing up when no one cares. Not even the slightest threat.

Yeah, Ash and Pikachu's skills are wildly inconsistent, and the only actual explanation for it is plot convenience. Ash's other Pokemon can get this too, but due to the kid's habit of dumping all of them except Pikachu as soon as the generational saga ends makes their cases of plot-mandated power/weakness a lot less egregious most of the time.

That's another thing I like about Sun & Moon. Team rocket aren't in every episode, and though they do try to catch pikachu every so often, they have other goals too, such as one episode where they found a Z-Crystal guarded by a wild raticate and didn't have any contact with ash the whole episode.

Yeah some games are hard to keep up with. Overwatch matches can change on a dime. Very fast paced too. Constant changes in characters and everything too.

On the outside, Overwatch doesn't seem too complicated. You pick a hero and learning how their attacks and abilities work by testing them out on the training area maybe only takes 5-10 minutes. Eventually you'll find your favorites and your "main" after trying them all out. There will be some you're "okay" at and others that you just don't do well with at all. For example, I do relatively well with D.Va and Soldier 76. My best games are mostly with those two. Make me play Genji and I comically flounder like a fish on dry land. I have NEVER done well with Genji because for me, his abilities rely on a lot of quirky anime gimmicks such as double jumping, projectile reflecting, and other weird reality-breaking stuff I can't ever get used to. And yet there are some people that rock the house with him. You may find yourself facing the same kind of thing where some heroes you'll love and others are just a mess to try and work with. And there will be some where you may think you weren't any good with them, but you get better with them in time. I thought I'd forever suck with Winston and Hanzo but there were times when I actually did exceptionally well with them and even got "plays of the game" with them. Zarya is another one where I thought I wouldn't ever get the hang of her and then in due time, I unleashed pure raw fury with her once I figured out how she really is supposed to work. Watching how other players handle their heroes is a good way to learn how to best play them as well.

You WILL run into toxic players that expect you to know the maps inside out, know ALL the components of your hero, and be a master at exactly what to do precisely at what time and what location. They expect you to know all the combos that your hero might have with another person's hero and when those get executed. They will cuss you out if you don't do exactly this. They forget there was a time when they didn't know all this junk either. IGNORE THEM. IGNORE THEM ALL. If it really gets bad, just press "P" to Mute-nuke everyone. There are times I do this just to stop two bickering players from splattering my screen with text garbage. You'll learn all the tips and tricks in due time and where to deploy what kind of nonsense at chokepoints and stuff like that. REMEMBER, if there are people who don't like how you play the game, that's their problem, not yours. They can always mosey off to Competitive Play if they want to get all hardcore about their nonsense.

Overwatch can be fun and it can also be a bit pesky. It's a lot of fun if your team is doing well! If you find yourself losing round after round, eh... you'll kind of feel like playing something else. Take a break and maybe come back later. The game characters are great and they all have their own unique personalities. Some of them are fun to play even if you're not good at them! Some of the maps are interesting, also. Personally, I think the game would be perfect if people were much better sports about it, but... eh, they're not. If you can just shut out the toxic people and find ways to enjoy the game at your own pace, you'll like it. But if nasty players and in-game cyber-bullying are things that you don't do well with, it's something you might need to think about before jumping in.

In lieu of yesterday's conversation, I tried playing a bit more Overwatch even though I hadn't been into it since summer. Yesterday's games were kinda of crappy, but today's were great. Even got a beautiful rip-tire "Play of the Game" with Junkrat, even though it's kind of easy to get POTG with him. Still, it's a very "you win some, you lose some" kind of game in that if you're having a rough time, things may get better later. How the team ultimately performs is only somewhat affected by you and if your team loses, it may not be your fault.

Ah, you get used to the angsty nonsense. It's always the same kind of people who think they're supposed to win every game, think losses are always the fault of their teammates, and they believe they're the apex gaming messiah of players and that everyone who is not as good as they are is a noob and everyone who is better than them is either hacking or is an obsessive player who "has no life!" Like I said, the game is good and you can tell Blizzard wants it to be the best it can be, and they're always introducing new maps, new heroes, new skins, and all kinds of new stuff while trying to keep the game balanced. But they're only human so sometimes you have to pardon the fact not everything is perfect 100% of the time and players will always find an exploitation to take advantage of. It's all a matter of enjoying the game, not treating it like a life and death matter, and realizing that it's supposed to be fun and the best way to have fun with it is not to take it seriously.

The new maps, heros, and of course skins and animations are awesome! Makes it constantly keep up the unique feeling to it and something new to look forward to. That is true though. There's a lot that is both good and bad. A goal to keep the current player base happy. While at the same time attracting new players and keeping them with the same content and updates. It has to be manageable for ALL and engaging. That's where friends come in perfect sync here. Just imagine. 6 friends sitting down to have FUN playing this just for the sake of having fun? Sounds like a great night to me :)

Speaking of, we should have another Overwatch event here on PXR at some point. See if Harry still wants to or something. Only ones I remember off the top of my head are Harry and Neo. When would you want to if so Neo? Closer to Christmas?

I only had the Overwatch team contact me on it once out of the few I sent. Other games like Final Fantasy 14 I play. Oh man, I've had GMs contact me within minutes or half an hour on the matter. Where I explain it better to them the situation. Then they look into the matter from there. So as long as you have your facts straight and ready (which is why screenshots in bad situations tend to really be helpful. If you ever get caught in one of those situations. Take screenshots of the chat for evidence). Best to always be prepared. Good support always help keep a better community. But games like Overwatch, League of Legends, and those team strategical games have split community. Toxic, friendly, neutral, and FUN!

I'll have to ask a Saturday off at some point. My work sucks now and they are forcing certain things on a for members of the team. Me and a few others included. So I'll ask some night (preferably near Christmas or I'm hoping to have my birthday off for New Years). Maybe sooner. The way things they've been forcing on me is to work all weekend and days I'm off throughout the week I could be called in. It's stupid how the part-timers aren't even getting much time. Ouch....that's no fun at all after working hard in those. Luckily MSN nudges didn't completely kick me out of any. Just shake the msn window in front of the game (like layered it over). I need to get my Christmas avatar and banner done. Funny, years before, I liked drawing the backgrounds more than the actual characters. Now it's exactly the opposite!

I also need to get Christmas decorations up around the house. Guh. Word of advice, people, when it comes to Christmas trees, bigger is not always better! Bigger usually means HEAVIER and MORE CRAZY LIGHT STRANDS TO PUT UP! Plus small Christmas trees can be cute. XD

We don't have any decorations up either. We've kinda been looking for a tree for the new house too. ....a 12ft tree. That's HUGE! I love Christmas trees though xD. We've already got a Frosty the Snowman in the overhang above the front door up. Can't light it yet, but it's up. Yeah small trees can be cute (I've got one next door we set up near a gaming area). But the bigger it is, the more you can do with it in the end. My cat before she passed at a young age LOVED the tree we had. Pawed at it a lot wanting to climb it. We evenhad to stop her from jumping up at it sometimes xD. She'd love getting under it and just watching from the shadows

My policy with Christmas decorations is I will not put up anything that requires a stepladder. So if it's something like wrapping garland around the door or banisters, I'm fine with that, but no stepladders. That's way too much work and it's a bit dangerous just to put up lights for a month.

Sorry to hear about your cat, though. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen cats want to play with Christmas decorations, and who can blame them? They're fascinating!
