It looks like a normal business building from the outside; not really what you expected from the confidential letter you were mysteriously sent. It was pretty tall; you counted somewhere around twelve stories. It could've been a tall building in Saffron City. But the address is definitely correct, so you enter through the door.
Still looks like an office for some sort of company. All the standard office equipment is here; a main desk, chairs, cabinets, etc. You wonder if there was a mistake made, as you double check your letter. Nope, you're at the right place. And the letter says to take the elevator to floor seven. You do so, and the elevator moves on up. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEEEEEP. The elevator stops, and the door opens.
A crazy sight awaits you. No more office building layout. More like a control room you'd see in a sci-fi movie. As you walk out of the elevator, you visibly gape at the dark walls illuminated by hundreds of colorful, blinking lights coming from various pieces of computer equipment. There are at least six screens above every computer system, with views of various locations around the world. You almost don't even notice someone walking over to you.
Welcome to the headquarters of the Agents of the Shadows. Sorry if the office on the first floor was underwhelming; we are the real deal.
Our mission is to rid the world of evil. We do so by striking during the night; when the enemies least expect us. After all, you can't prepare for something you don't expect.
Obviously, the police force are technically the ones to do our job. But to be honest, we've caught more criminals than them, and have had more overall success.
You may ask yourself, "Why haven't I heard of you guys then?" We do all this all completely in secret. We mask our resolutions in a variety of ways. For example, have you heard of that well known shooter that was in the news a few days ago because he had a heart attack and died? That's not what happened. We executed him, and our members made it look like he simply just had a heart attack. Speaking of which, if you don't join us, we're going to have to fix your memory before you go.
