No. I mean, yes, they were run through Photoshop for coloring. However, the texture and all that was simply because it was taken on my mobile phone. I enjoy the way it worked out.

As far as the picture from your phone. It really did give it a great feel. I looked through some of your other art on deviant art. I normally do most of my work with a pen and paper so its nice to see others who do it as well.

I actually never use a pen. I do a lot with just a regular mechanical pencil. Although, the Absol was done in pen as one of the rare instances where I use a pen. xD

The scratch sprites for the Pokémon in general are quite old, and the fun fact: I was the first person to actually draw and publish Doublade in a dual-wield aspect. At least on DeviantArt. I don't often gloat about things, but for some reason it feels good to know I did something that lots of people reacted to.

Much thanks! Yeah, I do a lot. But, never enough to actually retain recognition. So I'll pop up like "LOOK HERE'S SOME STUFF" and as quickly as attention comes to it, it vanishes. It's cool, though. xD

Thank you. It took me forever to make it look like that, believe it or not. It was originally just red and white with a black border..

Yeah, the textures were where the pain happened. See, the way I did it was really complicated, and I'm sure there were easier ways of doing it. But no matter what happened, the texture would erase the border when I removed it from the background. So I'm sitting there, like "Uhh?"

Then I finally decided that I would just make it black, blur it up a bit, then make about 20 layers of that blurred image until it became a solid border again. Totally worked.

I drew this fella for my boss at Wal-Mart. It's the symbol of the horde from World of Warcraft made up of skulls. While it isn't exactly Pokémon related art, I figure someone on this forum plays WoW and would appreciate it. xD

Well, thank you, Maxie. I genuinely appreciate your compliment. Groudon is truly awesome, in the truest definition of the word. As an artist I am obliged to create art for all comers. I also know a thing or two about stomping a hole in Team Aqua. I've lead a team to their defeat just recently, in fact. However, if I had not chosen to oppose Aqua to prove what my team could accomplish, I would have been in their ranks helping to conquer the WAR. That is why I chose to side with them this day. As an artist, my brush is as much yours as it is for anyone else. However, in any other aspect, Maxie, Team Aqua will have me, and because of that... Team Magma will only know defeat. For Aqua's greatest threat is now their most trusted ally.

But for real. Thanks compliments, bro.

I have created my own banner for Team Aqua, and I am willing to make graphics for anyone a part of Team Aqua!

/didn't see a form so I'm gonna c&p which some changes from my request for Sarah.

Size: 200x550 or 150x500, or whatever size similar is best for you.
Image: Female Aqua grunt (http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/c3/Omega_Ruby_Alpha_Sapphire_Team_Aqua_Grunts.png), and a Sealeo. You can probably find a better Sealeo picture than I ever could so I'll leave you with that. For the grunt, I would like it if all of the Aqua logo on her headband was visible/not cropped out and down to her at least some of her tights being included (a bit more so than is in my current sig; I want a blue stripe and maybe another white layer to be visible to really how off her stripey pirate-ness. If you need to crop off a little bit of her head to make it fit, feel free, as long as the entire Aqua logo is intact.

I've tried using GIMP myself and honestly. I couldn't get used to it as I did when I used Photoshop. GIMP is a little....different. Though I still think it came out really well in the end. Hopefully you can get back with Photoshop soon enough.

Well, the thing that I found about GIMP, is that it doesn't effect the quality if you place in the effort it takes to make it look good. GIMP takes more work than Photoshop to really make a piece look good. This banner/avatar really only took me about an hour. I just wanted something different than what I was rocking in my avatar/signature.

Thanks for the compliments, though. Good to know I can go so long without doing anything artistic and pick it right back up. I don't know how frequently I'll be cranking out banners and graphics. Or even drawing or writing, but being back on this forum, it's likely to happen sooner than later.

This took a couple tries. GIMP kept crashing on me. Did it twice, right at the very end, before it finally decided to cooperate. So I wanted to just get it done. I'm so exhausted because of it.

I agree about the text, but the downside of working on GIMP, is that text editing (which I'm notorious for due to Member of the Year.) is next to impossible to do. It's tedious and time consuming. So I went with something basic just to get rid of my silly face as my avatar. I'll probably work on something to match my new banner.

And yea, i hate gimp. Which is why i stick to pixlr express. Pixlr does have Advanced mode akin to Photoshop and Gimp, but i stick to the slicker interface.

It's not as unique as you might think, though. I derive a lot of my style from Tombi. Cait was the one who got me into graphics, as well as taught me how to do a lot of it. She's always been stupid talented as far as art and creativity. That's why her cosplays look stupid amazing. So, it's because of her that my banners really look the way they do. It also helps to find some high quality images, or else these banners would look like poopy. So a lot of credit goes to those artists.

Ah, no. Those are his tails. I'm bad at this. However, I've always wanted someone to draw these characters other than me, because I don't have the patience to draw, anymore. I have like 6 characters that need drawn, but I don't want to draw them. xD
