Winter Showdown Battle Arena
The Winter Showdown Battle Arena returns for some intense battling action! Battle on the official Showdown server (https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/) to win yourself some cash money coins!
Once you're on the Showdown server, you will have to battle people from the forum. Finding them might be a pain, since we don't have our own private server, so here's a Discord chat made specifically for finding people: https://discord.gg/3jRAeZd
Make sure your team complies by the rules listed below.
You will be allowed to post replays of up to three battles you have won per day. Note that this means you have no limit to how many battles you do, but I will only award coins for three wins a day. Each win earns you 10 coins! If you have a extraordinary battle, I might award 10 more...
The end of each day will be midnight in Eastern Standard Time.
The Rules
Rule I: No ubers. This means the battles will be OU rules, and you can use Pokemon from the OU tier, as well as the lower tiers.
Rule II: At least one Fire-type Pokemon. This Pokemon can be dual type, as long as one of its types is Fire.
Rule III: No duplicates. I think this is a default rule in Showdown, but you can't have more than one Pokemon of the same species in your battles.
BONUS CHALLENGE I: Win with a team of only Fire-type Pokemon for FIVE bonus coins! Again, any of the Pokemon can be dual type as long as one of its types is Fire.
BONUS CHALLENGE II: Win against a fully evolved OU team with a LC team for TEN bonus coins! As long as it follows the 3 basic rules above!
