PXR Branch of URPG?

I apologize if this has been brought up sometime in the past; it doesn't look like it has been brought up recently though.

I was wondering if PXR had any plans to re-adopt URPG (from pe2k, since that branch is now officially shut down). Yes, I know that this would cause a lot of hassle and I guess Bulbagarden's branch of URPG is already pretty active.

Still though, has this point been brought up in any staff discussions? I would love for URPG to be brought here, but I 100% understand the issues it could cause and the absolute redundancies it MAY have. However, I feel as if it would be just another invaluable way to attract more users here. Of course, that is purely my opinion.

If it has been brought up among the forum staff here, I would really love to know what they have / have had to say about it. :>

It's really nothing to do with the staff here at PXR, unfortunately. The URPG is a separate entity and it's up to the staff of the URPG to decide if they want to bring it here. :)

I guess my question has been answered, but I suppose if anyone wants to contribute their opinions, this thread could still be used as a discussion thread.

So! What do you guys think about the URPG being on PXR? Would you like for it to happen or no? My personal opinion...

What if we did expand it post-VI, but did so on a still-budding forum? That way we wouldnt have to worry about an overload of people right away.

The forum I have in mind is Pokemon Crossroads, basically the new and totally improved pe2k.

Anyways, if it does expand, perhaps it could be a few months after Pokemon Bank is released; because it's pretty apparent that the other hundreds of Pokemon still have updated movesets and such, and possibly a few more Mega Evolutions, and we would need to know these updates. Of course, if some group figures out how to hack the 3DS to the point that they can find this information load that way BEFORE the release of Pokemon Bank, then that would be even better.

Anyway, if we do expand--even if to a small, still blooming forum--it would be best to do so once all of the things for gen VI have been implemented into the URPG.

Either that, or we can expand to said forum right now, while everyone is still working on all the Generation VI content for the URPG. Since it seems that we're losing some activity in the URPG, I personally feel that this would be ideal.

Then again, if you guys are really wanting to expand to another forum you can always try Serebii...right? I mean they have a huge userbase there, and you'd think that there are many different members there to join, and thus help expand.

Personally, as a member of URPG, I'm in favor of it. It's been a long speculated next step as HKim is the current head of both, but here's his objection to it (from URPG's Skype Chat):

There has also been a lot of discussion about it among URPGers, largely here (http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/f400/expansion-149896/). I guess you already mentioned that part. But yeah, I really think it would be a great thing to happen, one major problem that's been encountered with multiple forums in the past though is updating certain threads on each of them.

I agree with both sides of this; Harry has a good point about bias and thinking as the URPG-head, but I also agree that a lot of people would like to see a URPG branch.

Perhaps, like Harry said, wait a little while to see what happens before making the decision to open a branch here.
