T’was the days before Christmas and all through Pokémon Crossroads, writers were hustling as for the holidays they prepared. Set aside for the moment’s time, the children of their ink received a small reprieve. But not removed from their author’s thought, yet another story waited to be told. For they, too, had plans of their own. Whether far from home in the midst of a desperate winter, or by the warm of a fire surrounded by loved ones, your characters, too, may take part in the season of hope and joy.
And so, my fellow authors, let us come together to celebrate this time of year, and give our creations a chance to join in as well!
This is the Christmas Character Bash, where you can show how your characters celebrate the holidays. Any holiday you celebrate is welcome (I just picked Christmas in the title because I love alliteration too much, haha) and, in fact, there is no limit to your creativity. You can use both fan-fiction and original fiction characters (canon or otherwise) in these stories, and your submissions can be as long or short as you’d like! Wanna break that fourth wall? By all means! Wanna go serious or humorous? Either one works! You can also interact with other authors’ characters if you like, but be sure to contact them ahead of posting your submission. Collaboration is a-okay!
While I don’t have specific rules for you (other than to obey all PXR forum rules), I have a few suggestions for format:
Title: (optional)
Cast: (Place in spoiler tags—background information on the characters used)
[Story]
While this isn’t a contest, I thought it might be something fun to get your creative juices flowing. Sometimes it’s worth it to take your character out of their story and just play around with them for a bit, and you might learn something about them that you didn’t know before. Well, I think that’s enough for introductions. Get out there and start writing!
