Yeah finished the portflio. Now we're working on the next few assignments. I'm still waiting to get a grade back from a professor so I can figure out if I want to exempt his exam or not. he was supposed to have everything done by yesterday but my grades still aren't in.

I'm kinda enjoying working from home. My work has started talking about letting people come back though.

Yeah you just take them online. Professors can either use Canvas, which is the academic platform our institution uses for grades and the like, and issue the test through that, or in the case of both of my exams, email us a PDF/Word Document and tell us to email it back to them by a certain time.

My brother has to do some fancy exam to become a chartered accountant and they use his computer webcam and microphone to make sure he is the one there doing it and they have to use some program that prevents any other programs being opened on the computer during the exam so he can't look stuff up. Pretty crazy!

Yeah I can see how having to ride to work makes it a challenge. I'm quite the opposite in that way though. I hate having to walk or ride out in the summer heat. With just how hot it tends to get. I can take it for awhile, but too long and I feel like I'll pass out.

Yeah I do prefer winter over summer. This summer just passed, I rode to work a few days where it was 37-41 degrees and that was definitely not fun. On the hottest day, I really had to push to get home, didnt think I was gonna make it at one point xD

It ended up drizzling on my way to work and back so I got pretty soaked by the end of it. But it was kinda nice being back at work, especially because only a few people were allowed back so far so it was nice and quiet!

Yeah here it gets to be staying in thes upper 80s to 90s. Even 100s here. All with humidity and that's what makes it so much worse. I look forward to the cooler rainy days.

Depends on the exam. Out of the two previously mentioned finals, one was open book and one was closed book, but I won't deny that I definitely used my notes and such on the closed book exam since there were no preventative measures to prevent me from doing so and I wouldn't have been able to complete the exam in the allotted time period if I couldn't use my notes. 6 definitions, a paragraph required for each. 5 quotes that needed to have their sources identified, both book and the chapter they were from, as well as a paragraph explanation of their significance. And two 5 paragraph essays. All to be done in 2.5 hours. No way that could be done closed book. The other exam though seemed to know people were going to cheat anyway, so he made it open book, open note, and even allowed people to work in groups on the exam so long as we disclosed to him who was working together in what groups.

That said, I had a Spanish practical exam back in March that required me to use some sort of proctoring system that did lockdown my entire computer, as well as shared my screen, allowed the proctor to see me through the webcam, and I had to set up my phone as a secondary camera so I couldn't use it either. I also know a few people are using programs such as Lockdown Browser which also shuts down all programs on the computer other than the exam. So there's ways to make it closed book for sure.

Yeah that can be annoying, but the heat is what kills me the most. Sun can feel pleasing in winter, but in summer it's like I want nothing but rain and cloudy days because of just how hot it get.

This is exactly how I feel, but all the time instead of just summer. It's like my default temprature is much colder than everyone else too, so when everyone's wearing warm clothes I'm still overheating...

That's annoying :( I've had the same email for 18 years now... I've used it for everything and get so much random spam. It would be a normal trying to change it now though as every account I've ever had is linked to it!

It's probably too early to hope for a new Mystery Dungeon, so maybe Sinnoh remakes? Or info on Detective Pikachu 2 perhaps? Or the feed could cut off before the announcment's fully finished :P

They did mention there was more to come for SwSh. So maybe a hint on info for that. As I did hear there was some leaked info on SwSh not long ago....potential spoiler so I'm tagging this just in case. mega stones were found in some coding. So it's possible megas are coming back in one of the DLCs

Though I would love a new PMD or remake for Explorers. Even a new Detective Pikachu. With Ryan Reynolds doing the voice xD.

Ooh, I really hope this happens. Mega's being removed was one of the most dissapoiting removals, as they could have just made Mega forms a varient of Dynamax. But instead they give a new form for Charizard & Gengar that are probably never going to be used again and throw out the Megas entirely. :(

I have so many emails it isnt funny, like a ridiculous amount of them. I used to be on of those aholes that wouls get around bans and crap, back in my troll days. Then i basically used it with a likebot to boost likes to show holes in security. I was a pain in the asss back in the day.

Nowadays i would happily ip ban one of those guys. Though, VPNs make that incredibly difficult. I miss my hammer now....

I definitely recommend Persona. An amazing series, and you dont really have to play the previous to understand it

Me, too. I haven't played the other ones, but 5 is amazing. I mean yes, it can be a bit easy. My main gripe is that the trash mobs can be easy and then the bosses spike in difficulty and it's like wut. The other thing is that if you turn the difficulty up you can get wiped out in a single turn if you make a mistake and you're unlucky. XD Can't win.

I have almost 200 hours clocked on Royal so far and not even into new game+ yet. O.O

My older brother used to love building PCs. Unlike me; the closest I've ever come to building a PC is installing a bigger internal memory for my PS3 :P

Laptops are more expensive to build than PCs. So if you plan on using it mostly at home anyway I'd recommend a PC. Otherwise if you need one for portability. Yeah, go laptop.

Yeah, portability is the #1 priority for me, so desktops are out.
On the other hand, my currnet laptop is pretty good for now, so I won't need a new one unless I want to play uber high graphics games.

Laptops are far harder to build as well. Laptops are cheaper to buy prebuilt. Just find one with an AMD Cpu, as most of them use intel and i cannot in my right mind recommend intel unless it is i9. And i9s will add a lot more to the cost.

I had to upgrade laptops last year as my old one would randomly switch itself off it the screen got nudged or the battery got below 30%. Plus it was like 6 years old and could barely run youtube alongside antything else.
(And it couldn't run Ori properly!)

Now I just need to get a PS4 & a phone that's screen doesn't look like a mosaic and I'll be up to date! :P

Well I just had my first real concerning issue with my PC. Pushed the button to turn it on. It immediately shut down. Then I sat there for about 30 seconds and it start itself up. Not sure what happened there...but concerning.

Did it have an system update installed before it shut down beforehand? Sometimes with Windows 10 after installing it a new update it needs a restart as part of it, and only gets to that part on turning on, so when you turn it on the next day it finishes the update then restarts quickly after.

Did it have an system update installed before it shut down beforehand? Sometimes with Windows 10 after installing it a new update it needs a restart as part of it, and only gets to that part on turning on, so when you turn it on the next day it finishes the update then restarts quickly after.

Nope. I mean like I shut it off the night before, pushed the button to turn it on. Then the lights came on, I heard the fan start up instantly after, then it all shut off. This in the course of just 2-3 seconds. Screen hadn't even come on yet. With updates it has never done that. It always started up normally and got to the window screen then the blue updating windows screen (not blue screen of death screen).

Sounds like your PSU has some problems. Could be a loose connection or the box itself is corrupted. Geek Squead or some other Tech guy could help give a mpre definitive assessment. But, to me, it definitely sounds like a bugged PSU

The light system itself is still bugged. I sent it off during the whole start of the COVID outbreak. Did they fix it? Nope. Remote still doesn't change it correctly. That whole issue I mentioned where it shut off like that was a very first. So I wouldn't put it past other issues as well.

So we got a new boiler here about a month ago now. The guy who came to install it put it in slightly wrong so it's got a small leak, and he's said he'll come and fix it next week every time we've asked, and sure enough he doesn't show and postpones it until the week after. :/

Mine is pretty new and it's doing that for me too. I'm not a fan. Heck it's even docked to the system and doing it. Sad part is it's the limited edition Pikachu/Eevee ones. So can't just easily be replaced.

Yeah, mine's the Pikachu/Eevee one too. So replacing it isn't going to be possible, and if I send it in for repairs I might not get it back. :(
If/when it goes completely I'll probably have to get the Splatoon joycons. I mainly play handheld so the Pro controller's not an option. (Though since it works with steam apparently, I might have to get one at some point for Ori & Spyro.)

Yeah way back when I sent my Pikachu 3DS XL in for repair (cause the speakers were not sounding right). They contacted me back saying it couldn't be fixed or replaced with another of the same model. That they could replace it with another. Meaning, not the Pikachu one. To me it's kinda pitiful they can't. Yeah I don't use the Pro controller either. It's mostly handheld. Or I'll occasionally play on my TV. Though especially right now with all the COVID stuff happening. Postal services are not very reliable at all. A YouTubed I follow has had his potentially $55k Charizard card lost in the mail. The Pikachu plushie I won months ago is still in shipment.

Man Pokken was a lot of fun for the few days I played it. I beat most of it, didn't complete the Chroma League but from what I've read I completed most of the story anyway so eh. FFXIV is awesome! I don't have the mount, but I've thought on getting that mount before. Carbuncle in that game are adorable.

Yeah Suicune is pretty powerful, but Pikachu Libre is actually S tier while. Hard to learn higher tier moves, but totally worth it. Also yeah, the league just gets tougher to prepare you for the harder challenge matches. That final battle was tough the first time around.

I also think just in general I’ve always been better with speedy fighters. In SSB I typically main more lightweight speedy characters like Sheik, Greninja, Zero Suit Samus, and Pichu. So I think it checks out there as well.

Bracken is a tough one to beat too. She's my...third best? I'm trying to change my main to Pikachu Libre (she's S tier compared to Pikachu's A tier). Unless a lot has been changed! It's been a year since I last played now. They're all fun to play though

Braixen's really good. She has a balanced moveset so can respond to anything, provided you can predict what your opponent will do. In the free trial only Pikachu Libre & Shadow Mewtwo were any trouble for me after a while. Still don't know how to counter those two...

Pikachu Libre I can say either you gotta fight hard fast. Otherwise she will power up on attack and speed or play defensive and lure the opponent to you. Shadow Mewtwo uses his HP to attack. So if you defend or overpower you'll have it. Though in story it's set to be tougher.

Since Netflix doesn't have it in the UK, I've had to wait until now to see the new episodes. And then it's only 1 a day, so I'm only at episode 7 so far...
Still, just from those episodes Goh is one of my favourite main characters in the anime as a whole. He just works so well with Ash, balancing out the two's personallities so Ash doesn't come off as inexperienced after 20+ years of the show but is still not perfect at everything. Plus finally someone who actually cares about catching pokemon instead of just battles/contests!
