Hello and welcome to my shop and gallary

My name is Absol Braixen and I decided to open an art shop/gallery here because this forum seems fairly active and it's a Pokemon forum. I enjoy creating doodles, making banners, avatars and also signatures. Below are some forms to fill out for requests as well as some examples! I will not be taking doodle requests at this time but will at random points in the future when I am looking to get my tablet out and play around a bit. When this happens I will post in the thread letting everyone know I am accepting these requests. My irregular border signatures are inspired by a friend named Deejaye. :)


Rules and Guidelines
1. Please only request one item at a time
2. I will only accept three requests at a time because I can become very busy with work and school sometimes. I will try and keep up with requests as best as possible though!
3. Feel free to comment or critique anything I post here. I welcome it and I am always interested in other artist's feedback and on improving my work!

Heya, Absol! Thought I'd drop in and say hi! I simply love how you make banners- the splashes are all colorful and creatively done! However... I do have a concern- and please don't take this the wrong way.

I recognize some of the images you use in the banners- such as that Absol- as the work of other artists (PurpleKecleon, in this case). Many artists aren't fond of their images being used in banners without prior permission and proper credit. Please do be sure to ask permission before using these images- and definitely do not forget to leave credit in some form or another unless the original artist specifically states that credit is not needed (which is uncommon).

Again- don't take this badly. I'd just hate to see a fellow member of the PXR community get into some sort of mess with an upset artist. I'm sure you know artists can be violent, destructive, and very possessive beings and I'd hate to see you get in trouble with them. v-v

I have recently been working on a submission for an art contest. I do not believe I am done as I have not added final details to it but here it is with and without the background:

Let me know what you think of the background, I don't want anything to take away from the image itself but I guess I am kinda iffy about it. I will probably try a few things later as the submission date isn't until March 7th and it closed April 7th. I have a lot of time to think! :)

I like the background. Seems neutral enough to not take away from the focus of the picture. I think the shadow on bannette face needs a little work. It kind looks like its pushed in.

Nice job. :D Those three pictures look great. The second most recent one is probably my favourite of the three; the clothes look great and the pose suits well. ^^ With the braixen one, the placement of her left hand is sort of awkward... xD And her left knee seems a little too far up, but other than that, great. ^^ I love the interpretation of the last picture too. :D

Yeah, I've been rushing on these images since I had 13 of them to do. I could really only spare 2-3 hours so they're not perfect. I will probably go back and redo them at some point so opinions are appreciated of course!

I intend on doing a really lengthy art piece after I am finished with this project, so stay tuned ^_^

Oh and me calling that sylveon conceited wasn't a criticism; that was just my interpretation of the character's personality, if that was how you were portraying her. xD It's a good thing, don't worry. Being able to radiate character through a drawing is talent!

I think I may start getting into C4D renders :) I've been doing painted signatures for a long time now and it would be neat to branch out. I probably won't offer C3D sigs until I am confident with them but anywho, I am sure it will be a fun venture. Stay tuned!

C4D can be fun to use and mess around with. If used right you can literally mold renders into images to help make it whole. I've used C4D for years, and of course stopped using them when I stopped making banners on a regular basis. I think I have an old tutorial somewhere that uses them. Though I look back at those banners and I hate them. I think I still have a ridiculously huge folder filled with the things.
