Somebody tell me who the idiot who put this image in my sig is, because when I find you I'm going to smack you so hard you won't remember the past month.

No, not at all. I don't know who it was or why they put Riku. I've never used that name ever. I just know it's a Kingdom Hearts Character but I don't really think that has anything to do with it. I don't understand this image at all. >:[

Is there anyone in your house, or a good friend, that could have accessed your account?

@Apollo (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/member.php?u=18) can access admin logs zzz
or @Pokemon Trainer Sarah (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/member.php?u=26).
The drawing is cute, gotta admit.
Kinda doubt it was anyone on this staff but y'never know.

No. None of my close friends know I even like Pokémon and I have no siblings and technologically challenged parents.

Maybe in your opinion, but the image it replaced was special to me because I made it and it looks halfway decent and I suck at digital art so it just makes me angry.
And aren't you an Admin? Can't you access the logs?

@ Shaymin: Sarah looked, can't see what's needed to check. I'll ask her though :P
Hmmm...Obliveon, you didn't happen to get any strange links that you clicked on, did you?

Not available to us regular admins for some reason. .__.

Actually I can't access admin logs. xD I dunno if Apollo can. Harry or Ray will have to check it out. I can't imagine a mod would do this though. I can understand a joke, but that image is rule-breakingly big. Are you sure no one else knows your password or could have accessed your account?

No, I haven't seen or received any strange or foreign links and I never click them anyway because I'm very conscious about hackers. What IS strange is that the image was replaced, but not the link it goes to. :/

Did the image URL change? Because maybe something else was just uploaded over the previous image that you had there?

I'm positive. I always log out of public computers and my laptop and I live at least 7 miles from any friend who could use it or see my password as I enter it.

No, it's the one I have now and it would've changed on every site. The 'PokeHunngry Mod' image would have to change on Tinypic. It was normal on every other website. In fact, I put the image code back in from my sig on PokeHunngry.
I'm sorry, I admit. I teleported to your house using my special brony powers, changed it because it was cute, and teleported when I heard you come back. But its pinkie, and she's just so CUTE ;A;
(im absolutely kidding here)
I would try backtracking the image or taking any other suggestions first though, sorry about not being able to really help ^^"

The public computers could have been infected with a virus that recorded passwords (I believe called keyloggers?). I'd suggest a virus scan of your computer, as well, and then changing your password.
What is odd, however, is that this seems to be a prank. The issue is finding who did it. Prank or not, if a Senior Moderator or Admin did it, they broke privacy and must be dealt with. If someone got into your account, however, you'll need to change passwords (after virus scanning), and possibly on more sites if you find a virus or logged in elsewhere on other sites.

Yeah it's kind of cute, but it would've gotten me in serious trouble. The image was posted on Tinypic. There's no way for me to track it from there.

I doubt it was a public computer. The ones I use are college computers and they wipe their hardrives automatically every time they shut down. Besides, I don't know anyone at my college who would want to do this. The other public computers are my local ones at the Library, but no one in town knows I like Pokémon so they wouldn't be able to do this. There is ONE person who comes to mind, and who is a brilliant hacker, but I don't know who they are in real life and the "I got you a balloon" part doesn't fit their personality.
I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. This computer is new and has Norton. I don't think it was a virus on my laptop but it has been working funny lately because Kaspersky antivirus needed to be renewed so it wouldn't let me update Windows 8.

Alright, it seems we've gone through all the scenarios. Someone will check the logs when possible to rule out the participation of staff. In the meantime, it would be a good idea to change your password, just in case. :)

Just because no one knows you like Pokemon, does not negate you from being a target. It would be someone you wouldn't know in the case of a virus catching your password, and at least it seemed to be a harmless prank. Viruses don't pick the victim, especially on public computers. They take all who come.
Knowing someone in real life does not make you safe from being hacked. In fact, it makes it easier for them due to the fact they can remain anonymous. Your friend may have done a prank, and you should ask them if you can.
EDIT: Do what Sarah suggested, but do a virus scan first.

MegaZone/PokeZone is NOT my friend. Trust me. And my friends aren't the type to pull internet pranks [or rl pranks for that matter]. Like me, they're all sensitive people and know just how much this would hurt me or make me angry. I believe you about the virus, but what would be the point of this? I don't think it was intended to be harmless because of the image limits. If I hadn't found and fixed it, I would have been in trouble. If it is Mega, then he did it intentionally to spite me because of something that happened on PokeHunngry.
Anyway, what's also odd is that my sig wasn't changed anywhere else. The image is a direct link to PokeHunngry, so they could've changed it there too just to be mean but didn't.

And c'mon, do we look like the type to punish for a silly little mistake like that? :P

No, but it depends on how long that image was there. And Mega wouldn't know that. He'd probably assume you're just as harsh as some of the mods on Serebii and the Mods on PokeHunngry that he didn't agree with during the incident that happened there.

Well, a password change is in order once you virus scan your computer, for sure. Make it a difficult password - the more letters, numbers, capitalization and symbols you have, the better.
When did this occur because I'm not seeing any changes by staff in the log.
(I would like Apollo or Ray to check me though).

I have no idea. I logged in today and it was like that, but not earlier in the day so it must have been sometime after 3PM-ish Mountain Time.
I left this message in the sig of all my other affected accounts in case this d-bag wants to check his work:
To the Prankster: MY NAME ISN'T RIKU YOU IDIOT. NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO PRANK SOMEONE FIND THE RIGHT PERSON FIRST!

Obliveon I need more details since we have... quite a few people who are on PXR. Before 3PM MST is good, but when did you check before that? Can you bound the time a bit more?
Dartz
01-10-2014, 08:10 PM
It could have been an accident and I bet no one else than Admins with "Edit Users" permission can do that. HKim, can you post a screenshot of Admin logs of that day? Also, a person who originates a keylogging spyware would never play any prank. Instead they'll just take advantage of credit card Information and other personal data. This case cannot involve a keylogger.

It is not 101% harmless. It has personal and private information that only the PXR admins should be allowed to see only.

It is not 101% harmless. It has personal and private information that only the PXR admins should be allowed to see only.
It can only show ID, Username, Date, Script, Action, Info and I.P Address. And we only need to check Action and Username.
P.S: As she said, no one knows that she likes Pokemon. So there isn't any probabilty of someone having her account hijacked on public computers. Second thing, no one can benefit from changing just an image. Third thing, only admins can do that maybe because of an accident.

By we, meaning only the admins need to check that information, so having it publically posted is irrelevant.
Also people can edit signatures just to cause panic and chaos because that's what they want to do. That in itself can cause harm within a community.
I hope we can get this fixed soon. This all reminds me of the Laughing Man.
I wonder though, Obliveon do you have any siblings that might have gotten on by accident and tried to pull something like this? I know friends was asked about...
