The last one took five months before a victory was achieved. With activity dropping, let's see if this one will last as long.
Same rules as usual, if you're the last poster and 48 hours have passed and no one else has posted after you, you win!

I haven't won since #20? Sheesh, I need to fix that.
Cranking out more stuff for Stalkers 5 today. It's looking quite good, I think you folks will have some fun with it! >:3
For a while I thought I would be running dry in terms of potential ideas for Stalkers and was a bit concerned the new Stalkers would seem too similar to ones that were done before, but dang, didn't take me long until I uncovered plenty of hidden potential that's never been done before in previous Seasons.

Indeed, all the stuff for the Stalkers is done and I just finished updating the rules with the final draft version. So things are coming along great!
I did some tasty rework on the inventory and battle system. As a little sneak peak, character cards will be employing this kind of layout instead:
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-sm/icon/587.png Neo the Emolga (S: Electric/Flying)
Health: 16/16 | Sanity: 20/20 | Purity: 24/24
Battle Stance: Tactical
Perk: Seinaru | Abilities: Clairvoyance
EQUIPMENT:
Attack Weapon: [|AW| Aurorawatch Assault Armament] (Adds 3 FIRE damage to all successful attacks)
Defense Armor: [|DA| Emolga-Customized Combat Armor] (Reduces incoming Health damage by 2)
Jewelry: [|JY| Moon Crescent Necklace] (Reduces incoming Purity damage by 2)
Utopian Aspect: [|UA| Prismatic Aura] (10% chance of triggering Double-Strike during combat)
PACK:
$750 Sochas$
3x Oran Berry
2x Repair Kit
Meanwhile, battles can now have up to four allies in it and you can form Search Parities in case you think you're going into a really dangerous area and you want to have multiple players take it on at the same time.
It's going to rock, I already have really good vibes with everything that's going on with it. :3

I was gong to say about how I probably wasn't even here to try and win most of the previous versions, only to realise I've been a part of these forums for a lot longer than I thought, so I only missed the first 8... (Not that I actually posted in most of the ones I was here for :P)

Also, hope you had an awesome birthday, Shruikan! Cheers and good times!

So, for the first bit of true positivity I’ve posted since a year-and-a-half ago, I finally got a job. I handle asset protection, sanitation, and customer relations for a multi-billion dollar company. I’m a host at the local wal-mart.

Hopefully it works out for you and everything goes well.

Oh yeah, I’m not complaining at all. I hand out face masks, say hello and goodbye, sanitize the carts before the people get them, and check the receipts at the door if there’s something unbagged or the sensor beeps. This job is, honestly, either going to be the best or the second best job I’ve had yet (out of three, but still).
I’m technically only a temporary hire, but the boss said he’s kept all of his temporaries so far. I’m also almost-guaranteed 40 hours a week until I become permanent, and at $11.50/hr starting wages, that beats out my other two jobs. Add in the breaks and (once I’m permanent) employee discount, and the only thing I’m not sure about yet is the people themselves.

Hey that's still good! Asset protection isn't bad. It's what I fell under at my old job, but it was more so fulfillment. Even working inventory they considered me "asset protection." Oh and for $11.50? Really not bad. I had just recently got an upgrade to $11.75 before I quit for my new job. Hopefully things stay in a good place at the job for you!

Yeah, the only issue I have with checking receipts is that I’ve never done it before, so it’s kinda awkward, but literally everyone said it’s something you have to get used to. The sanitation and customer relations portions of the job are no problem whatsoever, and the only other complaint I have is something I already know will go away with time (sore legs because I went just over a year without having to stand for this long). I literally have no complaints with this job because the only thing one of my former jobs may beat them out on is how well I got along with everyone at my second job.

New jobs usually have you doing at least something new that you haven't done before.
It takes time, though. I've had a handful of contract jobs in the past and it usually takes at least a good month or two to get acquainted with what's going on how to do things right. Eventually things click into place and you'll be comfortable.

I can tell you for sure it takes some getting used to with these receipt things. Once you get used to it though it's no problem. I never did quite go full out customer service. Never wanted to, but I went on to do much more with the store before moving on. Those that dealt with it for long periods of time got used to it pretty quick though with training and experience.

I'll admit I've never worked customer service. Most customer interaction I had was with my first job, calling clinical and doctor's offices asking for accounts payable information. Wasn't too bad, though I had a few rather not-so-pleasant conversations with people. Eh well.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone.
Honestly, I’ve worked a supermarket deli and a convenience store before this, and I can honestly say that the customers are both the best and the worst part of any customer service job. The good customers are great, but the bad ones stand out just as much. Luckily, there is a huge bufferzone of “ok” customers that don’t stand out, but tip the scales towards the good end. So, where this job is literally only dealing with customers, it’s not too bad.

I had to work with kids before as well as kind of a summer camp kind of thing. Some of those kids were awesome (crazy to think they're in their mid-to-late 20s now), and some of them... not so much. I did find some kids that were into the Pokemon TCG and we traded cards and stuff. Meanwhile, every Friday everyone brought their water guns and we had crazy insane water gun fights. First time, I was unprepared and only had a Poland Spring water bottle to defend my sorry buttocks. But that following Friday, I was freaking Rambo coming into that battlefield. >:3
Good times.

Man just looking back though at the early Pokemon card days. Wish I had saved those cards. They're worth sooooooooo much now if kept in good conditions.
I had some pretty rare pokemon cards as a kid. The holo starters that are worth a fortune. Shining Kabutops. A Kingdra that really isnt worth much but i loved it. A lot of Base Set, Jungle, Team Rocket etc. A lot of the old cards.
A teacher confiscated the binder from my bag.
I never saw those cards again...
That teacher owes me a ton of money.
Neo Emolga
10-18-2020, 08:17 PM
I sold a Shining Charizard for about $200. I had no idea it was worth that much and I just had it rotting in a box, not even in a sleeve, in the basement. When I realized what it was worth, I swooped in to immediately rescue it. XD
I had a few other Pokemon TCG cards, but they were not in the best shape. I didn't put them in sleeves, so the holographic foil in most cases got really scratched and beat up. Plus they were heavily played with, so that's definitely going to butcher their worth.
Also, rummage sales are a GREAT source of cards. Most people there will skip by them, but there's hidden gold in these things in you know how and where to sell them. Lots of unaware parents getting rid of their kid's stuff and lots of unaware church volunteers could be your golden opportunity.
Shruikan
10-20-2020, 02:03 PM
I've got a few old Pokemon cards, probably not anything like Charizard that's worth much. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to sell any of them though, even though they just sit in a box in my bedroom.
I hoard things. Like a dragon. (Because I am one :P)
The closest I've come to ever selling a card was trading a Yu-Gi-Oh! card I never used for almost an entire deck. (The card was worth around Ł20, and a key part fo a deck someone else was building, so I got amost a whole working deck for the achetype I wanted to play from them.) Sadly, most of the cards in that deck are banned/limited now, so I can't use it much. :/
Neo Emolga
10-20-2020, 08:25 PM
I just found out Shining Charizard is now worth over $1000 >.<
Well, I'm not that bummed out about it, it was nice to get a few hundred out of a card I pretty much had sitting around doing nothing anyway. But it does make me wonder about what else I may have laying around that might be worth absurd amounts of money...
Bulbasaur
10-21-2020, 05:41 PM
I have a bunch of old cards. I even have some 1st editions from the Jungle set, but I don't think I have anything super rare. Probably the most rare was a 1st edition holo Flareon from the Jungle set, or one of the original promos I have.
Neo Emolga
10-21-2020, 08:12 PM
Ah, check the price on them anyway, you never know. Cards that I thought weren't worth a post-it note paper ended up being worth more than $50. And there's several websites that are looking to buy (I go with Troll and Toad). You send them your cards, they send you a check and you can cash that right in. :3
I find it kind of funny that years back, there were parents that refused to buy their kids Pokemon cards. Boy, if only they had known. They might have been able to make everything back and earn more than they spent. XD

Strangely, as an Oklahoman, I’m confident in people’s lack of sense, but reassured by their panicky nature. The county I live in has a fairly consistent 5 people a day, but they’re panicky enough that you’d almost think half the population was already infected, so most people are taking precautions.

That's at least somewhat sensible.
Here in Aussie it was the AFL (Australian Football League) Grand Final yesterday and I heard the neighbours next door having a party. They were totally loud and didn't even keep it hush. Like how stupid can you get? >.>

Oh, don’t get me wrong, that stuff happens here, too. I mean, the Fourth of July celebration was huge (by our standards). The only reason we didn’t suffer from it is that our population is so small there’s not really any major way for it to spread except for stores.
Looking at population density, I did the math and came out to this: aside from a spike we had around September 22nd, our 5 infections a day means that just under one square kilometer of my county is infected every day, and it will take 11 years to infect the whole county. Based on those numbers, I’d say that my little section of the world isn’t doing too bad.

Well, my relatives canceled the yearly Christmas gathering. Usually it's pretty big. 50+ people, food catered, and all that stuff, but yeah, things have changed.
I'm still hoping this is only going to go on for this year, because year after year of this is really going to suck out the quality of life.

Oooh, I see. I live close to the city here and there's a lot of people. So it's worse in my area than mostly anywhere else. :c You're lucky. At one point my state skyrocketed up to 270 something cases a day. right now it's averaging around 5 - 10, which is much better, but we're hoping to get it lower before we reopen stores again.
Neo Emolga
You get catered food? O.O Wow, that's a big thing. xD My family usually has a large gathering too, with immediate family, but everyone cooks and brings their own dishes. It's great because the food is so awesome. :9 I haven't heard anything about my family gathering for this year so I assume it's not happening. We can't leave our houses to gather now anyway aha.
I'm sure they'll have a vaccine sooner rather than later. I imagine a lot of people are working on it. Another year of this will be awful, I'm not getting any younger!

Yeah, I definitely don't cook stuff from a recipe. Most of what I've been cooking is frozen food, but it still tastes pretty good.
As far as Christmas gatherings go, I'm kind of glad we get it catered, as the way some people cook their homemade meals is just... eh. We had an office party at one of the manager's houses and it was a nice gesture, but the food was definitely not my thing. Everything tasted like it was drenched in mayonnaise, and mayo is not my thing at all to begin with...
Chakramaster
10-27-2020, 12:40 AM
mayo is good, but too much just ruins food. That's for sure.
We haven't really cancelled our Christmas gathering, but we split the parties up. So it's a smaller group at that.
Neo Emolga
10-27-2020, 02:16 AM
I dunno, I've never liked mayo on anything. It's one of those things I always forgo if possible.
And yeah, right now, we've got nothing in terms of holiday plans. I was really hoping by now things with COVID would have passed over and there would be some normalcy again. But... now it's starting to look like we're just going to get a sequel of all this in 2021 and it's just going to be another year of cancelations and such.
Chibi Altaria

My family hasn’t really had big parties since my grandma passed eight years ago. This year will be our smallest, with only three people. On the plus side, all three of us know how to make something. My personal favorite, and one that I’m in charge of making, is a dessert called Sex in a Pan (yes, that’s the real name). A layered dish that consists of a graham cracker crust, homemade cheese cake, chocolate pudding, cool whip, and a sprinkling of chocolate chips and/or nuts.
On the mayo part, though... yeah, I don’t like it on anything. But then, I also don’t like most other condiments either.
Neo Emolga
10-27-2020, 11:14 PM
One of the best desserts I've had was someone make brownies, but they also put white frosting on top and cut them into rectangles. Then, they decorated them to look like dominos with little chocolate chips as the dots.
It doesn't sound like anything crazy, but that combo of brownies and frosting was insanely good. And the whole making them look like dominoes was fantastic and creative.

Sex in a Pan. LOL. xD
My favourite dessert would have to be pavlova! I also like cheesecake and carrot cake. :9
Not surprised that is a dessert name, giving all the sexual references in Mixed Drinks. I worked at a pub before all this, alcohol is freaky.
AWA1997
10-28-2020, 08:15 AM
Yeah, you can also alter the recipe slightly and the names of the desert changes. For instance, I know for sure that if you look up ‘Better than Sex dessert’ on google you’ll get a variation of the same dessert. (Also, apparently, that version is a Texas dish.)

Back before my friend here left for the Navy. He had a Majora's Mask cake. While I didn't like it on the taste side. The best tasting dessert I've had was some form of a chocolate mousse cake up in New York back on that trip. Man I miss it up there

You could make it a strawberry or cherry cheesecake so that the syrup looks like blood, if you or the others would like that. When I was working in a deli, we had to put fruity pie filling on our cheesecake and strawberry, cherry, and blueberry were all great sellers.

But yeah, on top of everything else, I feel like I was just outright robbed of a lot of fun things last summer. If 2021 just ends up being a lot like 2020 in terms of lockdowns, cancelations, and such, man, it's going to be even more of a drag.

Studying courses isn't bad, it'll show to employers that even though you weren't able to secure a job, you at least remained productive in growing your skills in preparation for your next job.
Getting a job can be BRUTAL and hard. Just keep trying and don't give up, things are hard now and no one's really sure what kind of direction the world is headed in. Take one day at a time and don't worry about the future.

I like your attitude, but my first response when someone tells me not to worry about the future is "BUT I'M ALMOST THIRTYYYYYYYYY". XD Like I want a job and a partner and a family and it's driving me nuts that I have none of those! Aha.

Heck, I'm almost FORTY. Yikes. I haven't moved out yet but New Jersey is a very, VERY hard state to move out of. Real estate costs are astronomical and it has become a bad time to go house hunting in any shape or format.
I might get married, but I don't have interest in having kids. It just seems like having kids sucks out any personal time and peace and quiet out of a parent's life for good and I NEED that to retain my sanity. Being 38, it's probably even too late for me to consider it anyway. If I wanted to do it, I probably should have started ten years ago, but back then I was focused more on getting a Master's degree and trying to obtain a job for financial security (and the both of those don't mix well!). I have those now, BUT... it took a long time.
I have met a few ladies I felt a kind of love connection with, but they were either already taken or lesbian. I don't go to dating sites, though, they always felt cheesy and awkward to me. So I don't know how things will go, but I'd hate to see myself just being lonely in the next ten years.

It's a bit different for you if you have decided that you don't want kinds, but me, I want kids. O: And since I'm female I do have a ticking biological clock. I mean I know there are things I can do, but it still worries me, you know? Plus I have like, zero savings and no job. I most likely won't ever own a place of my own with the real estate as high as it is. I'm still trying to sort out my career, so I hope this one works. xD
I do understand not wanting kids, though. You're right. Once you have kids it's less about you and more about them, so you need to go in with that mindset or it's just not for you. But I'm happiest when I make others happy, so I think I want to. :3 Of course I would like to travel first. And it's not as though your free time is totally gone; family is there to help look after your kids at times.
I hear ya. I meet very few people that I'm actually interested in (mainly cause I don't go out and now can't go out xD). But yeah, if I do they're usually taken. It doesn't help that currently it seems like EVERYONE I know is getting engaged, married, or having kids. ;__; Personally I don't do dating sites either, and I have no interest in pursuing a long distance relationship if I can avoid it -- much too hard. Here's hoping one day we'll each find someone. XD I have found that I'm a lot less stressed being on my own, though. But at the same time I am lonely.

Yeah it sucks women have a ticking clock when it comes to that, but I guess it's natural. Personally I would like to have kids myself. I wanna make sure I can financially support them first and a family.
It sucks, but it falls to myself and my brother to have a boy come into our family as a kid. Else my family bloodline with our last name ends. The bloodline will continue, but under different names. Yeah out of the 30-40 kids into our family for our generation. My brother and I were the only males. Big responsibility xD
I'm still looking, but I keep getting turned down. I wouldn't be against online dating, but yeah. Since the option is there it is open. Plus it can't hurt. Still wishing one day I can get lucky xD. I'm almost 30 now so...

Yeah, I’m in genealogy, and going back to my great-grandpa, I’m in a similar situation. He had brothers, but I don’t know their lines.
My mom didn’t marry my father, so I have her last name. My paternal last name/bloodline combination lives on through my half-brothers, but my maternal is down to two males in my generation, with a third that is uncertain as to if he’s bloodline, or another instance of a child taking the maternal name (of which I am the only one so far).

I don't see what the big deal about a family name is. If you want the family name that badly, and don't have any males, you know that you can actually change names. That's a lot of girls though lol.

Yeah it kinda sucks when names determent are like that. I mean I know I don't literally "have" to. Though thing is. Most people that say that aren't in that position or haven't been in that position. For someone like me that likes to help others, well. It hits kinda close to the heart you know?

I mean yeah, but I wouldn't wanna force anyone into a name change. Plus I don't wanna change mine. Forcing an offspring into a name change wouldn't be right. That's their choice. Yeah that's a lot of girls born into the family line xD. It's why I find it so weird by some happen stance my brother and I were the sole males born into the family. My cousins are the complete opposite. They were 3 boys and one girl. So far, their kids are turning out the same way. All boys so far from the oldest, middle has one boy and another boy on the way. Youngest has one boy. So hopefully it means my brother and I may each have one boy when that day comes. One day.
Chibi Altaria
11-12-2020, 01:25 AM
I didn't say to force anyone lol. Also, you realise that anyone is allowed to keep their name when they get married? If you have daughters and they want to keep their surname, yay. If not, it's not a big deal. The name changes, but blood doesn't. It's just a silly thing society decided on. I haven't even decided if I want to change my name when I marry. It depends if I end up marrying someone with a horrible surname. XD Or if I'm in the education field and it creates issues.

The thing on my end is that my grandpa was my father figure, and on his line, the only guaranteed person to pass down name and bloodline is me. I do genealogy, and I want future generations to know of him. If the name goes, the bloodlines will continue, but history may forget him. At least if the name continues down with the bloodline, there’s a chance someone will find him.
Chakramaster

That's how I feel. I don't want my family name line to end up forgotten to time. They'd have to hope for the fact they have things that'll help them tell like these DNA test things we have...or even care at all (which a lot of the times kids don't), but you know. It's little things like that. Those kinds of thoughts that make me so worried about it.

My family name won't ever be forgotten because there's so many of us. xD I haven't even met my extended family in Italy. But unlike you guys, I don't care that strongly for my family name. The lineage will be in the blood, that's all I need to know.

11-13-2020, 05:20 AM
I don’t particularly care if my name is remembered, but I want my grandpa’s to be, and in genealogy, your own last name is your first major thread, and most people don’t do a lot of tracking back downwards, so the longer the last name goes down my line, the longer he’ll be findable by future generations. For me, it’s not the family name, it’s just one person’s name.
Chibi Altaria

I don't mean to be rude, but even if names are carried down there is a chance that people won't remember past family members. I don't know anything about my family heritage past my great grandparents, for example. And they don't particularly interest me since I didn't know them at all. I think it's hard to be interested in something you don't know. O:

Oh no, I get that completely, and that’s not rude at all. Most people won’t be into family history stuff, that’s just a fact. I know that there will always be a chance that he will be lost to time. I’m not wanting a guarantee, but I want to up the chances for if/when someone down my line gets into it. And, if what my family looks like now is any indicator, there will be at least one in every generation.

My family history actually got fairly muddy when I tried to go up my grandpa’s family tree. See, his mom and all of her siblings disowned their father for reasons unknown. They told my mom that they were taking the secret to the grave, and that’s exactly what they all did. My mom tried breaking through that roadblock for over 20 years. We still don’t know what he did, but I was able to get past him and find the rest of the family because someone else, a distant cousin from another branch, put that family history online.

Yeah, I have a similar situation. My mom's grandmother was very nice to her, but her mother and father were just terrible. Her father was physically abusive and her mother was emotionally abusive. The stuff they did would have been heavily slammed with child abuse charges and would have landed the father in an orange jump suit if he did that in today's age.
I never met her father (my grandfather, and I'm glad for that), but man, her mother was really horrendous. We tried repeatedly to get on good terms with her and be open and friendly but no, no no, it was always a one-way "you're here to serve me and not the other way around" relationship and despite all our efforts, we pulled the plug. Even when she passed, she tried to divide us by only giving my mom, my sister, and myself only $1 while my brother got $5000. No explanation. He was awesome about it and used the money to pay for a vacation for all of us to France and Belgium.
We had cousins on that side of the family and they were bloody rotten, also (and they were given all the good stuff from the will). One was a liar and a snitch and the other liked to steal stuff and had sick perverted thoughts. Pulled the plug on all of them and we haven't talked to any of them for like 20 years by now. Sometimes you have to do these kinds of things if it seems like compromise is impossible. You may not get justice at the end, but you don't have to put up with the evil.

Oof, that's harsh. At least with my mum's family the worst they did is disown her so she lost all contact. Physical and emotional abuse is much, much worse. :( It's a good thing that you don't have to put up with rotten people like that any more. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm glad I've never met my mum's family. I don't want to know (or have anything to do with) people like that, who would disown their own child just because they didn't approve of who they married. I mean it really isn't up to you who your child marries, though you do hope they make the right choices.
Geez, she sounds awful. A lot of people from older generations have not only the 'respect your elders' motto, but also the 'I gave birth to you so you have to do what I say' mentality - which is so wrong. That's really not how parenting works and someone with that attitude shouldn't have kids in the first place. They're not slaves. It's good that you tried to bridge the gap, but sometimes there isn't anything you can do. :(
And quite honestly, no one needs that kind of stress and negativity in their life. I've learned that sometimes it's better to let go so that you can live and be happy.

I've won two. Two. Which makes me look like a silly sap rookie compared to you! Still, it's a 30cm Dedenne and a 22cm Growlithe that I got from Toreba. I know. The whole lack of Emolga bothers me. Though I haven't seen any Togedemaru either. Still, Emolga is amazing! Why do they have so many obscure Pokemon that few people like and not that awesome flying squirrel dude!? Are Lickitung, Mr Mime, and Poliwag really that much more popular than Emolga? And I was surprised Snorlax and Ditto get so much love and attention.
I feel I'm a bit better at the bigger plushies, though I've only won two, so I can't really claim too much expertise on that. There's a bit of a lag delay with the claw, and trying to go for something small that requires surgeon-like precision is extremely difficult (I've tried a few times and missed completely). With a big plushie, there's a tiny bit more forgiveness with that, but even so, the tiniest lag spike will be an instant show-stopper when it makes you overshoot the spot you want to go for. XP

Yeah, really, I don't get it either. I'd love even just a small Emolga plushie! I mean I have six already, but the more the merrier!
I think the ones where you need to pull the plushie off of a ledge seem to be the easiest, especially if the ledge is narrow and centered. Also, I feel it's easier if the plushie is not wrapped in plastic (both the Dedenne and the Growlithe plushies I got were not wrapped). If they're wrapped, usually the claw just limply slides along it and does nothing, whereas if they're not wrapped, you can use the claw to hook onto ears, tails, arms, feet, and what have you to pull it around. The only catch is if the plushie's foot, ear, arm, tail, or whatever appendage gets lodged in between the bar and the ledge.
The ones that I think are the worst are the more "classic" style versions where you need to pick up the plushie and drop it so it gets over a wall or goes down the chute (where it looks like a ball pit). The only way to win those is to have one plushie bounce off of another and pray it's enough for it to go over the edge because the claw will always drop it well behind the wall or chute. I've only once seen someone win that setup with the "bounce" and it looks like you either need to be insanely lucky or be some kind of wizard. But yeah, if I see that's the setup when I tap on it, I immediately jump out. Also, setups where the plushie hangs on with only one arm or their tail have GOT to be rigged. There's no way they can defy gravity like that normally.
The ones were you need to squeeze stuff between those rubber-covered bars are always a mixed bag. I have yet to win a setup like those, but sometimes they seem really easy, sometimes they seem hard (or completely impossible if the prize is way bigger than the gap between the bars!), and other times what you think should have been really effective doesn't do jack. And there's other times when I see someone else playing and immediately I'm thinking "yeah, that's not going to work at all" but then it does! So yeah, I don't know what's going on with those either. XD

You mean this kind where they hang?
https://youtu.be/MQvMu1DM1Nk
Yeah the ones where they have to fall over the wall is just super luck based I think. Much like dropping the ping pong ball (which I still hate is exclusively TP based now)
Neo Emolga
11-23-2020, 08:48 PM
Yeah, like those, but you made that look so easy! I'd done the same kind of maneuver dozens of times but didn't get anything. :P
I'll admit I did rage-buy a monstrously enormous 50cm Eevee plushie after trying and failing on so many other Eevee plushies (which I still continue to try and fail on! XD). Rather than buy heaps of TP like some people do and lock themselves in an escalation of commitment to keep playing until they win, I just do things like that. Cheaper and more effective!
Also, does it play as smoothly as the video if you play on the computer as opposed to playing on your phone? I've never tried Toreba on the computer. I wonder because if it knocks out the lag issue, that would be a major help in getting the claw in the spots I want it to be in each time. Heck, half the time I feel like my first daily ticket gets wasted just because of varying lag issues.

Yeah at first I couldn't win anything the first year or....most of the first year playing, but I didn't give up. I learned over time.
Yeah some of these are just HUGE. I'm surprised they can be won, but once we know how it's. Well, we get lucky too xD.
Yeah the delays are crazy. Took my last Christmas Chu nearly 2 months to get here. That being after shipping.
It's kinda sad. I've told Neo I don't understand why. They've had EVERY electric regional Pika clone except Emolga. For whatever reason. They have never once added an Emolga to a machine. I don't understand why.
I don't think I've seen an emolga either (I've only been playing since May though). I DID win (sadly hasn't shipped yet) a tiny tsum-tsum style heracross, and I'm so excited. XD Never seen anything scyther or yanmega (or centiskorch) but that's to be expected. I can dream, though. I spent some money on the heracross but WORTH IT because I had to have it. XD
XP
Yeah I don't know why they choose certain ones and not others. A lot of the times, totally random pokemon are grouped together. XD Like growlithe and meowth makes sense, but then there's...piplup and raichu, and all sorts of other weirder combinations. XD
Yeah, small is HARD! I've gotten more precise so I'm a bit better at smaller things now, but it still is harder than big plushies. There's been a few times, though, when the claw will lag a bit unexpectedly and I think, "Aww, I messed it up" but then it surprisingly works out better and I get the prize. XD
I have seen Togedemaru a few times. It's a giant one. So they don't typically have many. Yeah after the years I've been playing. I just don't understand why out of all the Pika clones (regional electric rodent). Just why Emolga has been outcast. Doesn't make sense. I feel it's more popular than most.
Yeah the buggers ones are a bit easier to move around for sure. They're just a bit harder to fit through.
Does make me curious. Which type of setup/machines do you guys feel the easiest? Neo Emolga Scytherwolf
I'm really good at the ones where you have to move plushies over an edge or between bars. It's harder when they're in plastic but I've gotten the hang of that. Hardest for me is boxes (though I'm getting better).
Noblejanobii

A lot of Pokémon tend to be really popular in Japan even if they aren’t internationally so it’s possible the weird spread is due to that.

I think it’s awesome that you have the skill and capability to make your own plushies. No Yanmega plushie? NOT ON MY WATCH, I’M USING MY ULTIMATE POWER AND CREATING ONE! And that was a really great one at that!
And yeah, boxes are hard! I’ve never come close with any of those.

Thing is, Emolga has been getting a lot more spotlight in stuff again lately. I had it's own scene in the Snap 2 trailer even! It's on a lot of the electric rodent art on exclusive Pokémon Center Japan stuff. So it's just kinda weird it's the only outcast of the electric rodent crew as far as Toreba goes.
For me, my favorite crane setup is the pointed tips. Typically for pushing the item and not always lifting....I usually get lucky there xD

I keep hoping the fact that Shaymin hasn't seen much attention lately is a sign for Sinnoh remakes but we'll see.
Chakramaster

I'd love to go by that, but same goes for Emolga in cases. Seen people even crave for a gen 5 remake before Sinnoh (which should not happen).
Let's hope for a Sinnoh remake though.
Noblejanobii
11-24-2020, 03:34 PM
I feel like there's way more evidence for Sinnoh than Unova though. Since Shaymin isn't the only mythical to have been jipped recently. Arceus, Manaphy, and Phione were also all not included in Pokemon GO or SwSh, and other than Deoxys they were the only mythicals to be excluded in SwSh. Plus the fact that none of the Sinnoh starters made the cut, the croagunk wooden statue in Hop's room, etc.
Neo Emolga

So my dad and I are staying home and just having some chicken (no turkey in the freezer and the supermarkets are going to be utterly mobbed). Poultry is poultry, close enough and let's just hope 2021 is a better year for, well, everything.
I have a feeling Christmas is going to be the same. With the way 2020 has been, might as well complete the package. :P

Just hit Thanksgiving. Thanks for the ‘happy thanksgivings’, and a happy one for everyone that celebrates. So far, mine’s looking decent. Just me, my mom, and my sister, so it’s going to be small, but we’ve already got most of the food for tomorrow done. And this year, my sister decided to add a dessert we’ve not made before: lemon meringue pie. All that’s left is to cook the turkey all night, make the chicken and mashed potatoes tomorrow, put the finishing touches on a few more things, and for me to make my dessert. All right on schedule.

Yeeeeees! They need another episode like that one. Seriously. Would have a seriously big reaction and I'm sure everyone would love it.

Need more episodes like this. I mean they sorta did in gen 6? Where they all fell asleep and Pokemon and humans swapped roles? Pokémon talked and the humans acted like Pokémon. That's as close as we've got though.

A bit. Didn't last long of course and Pikachu wasn't hit by whatever made that happen. So Pikachu only spoke in Pika-speak.

Oh, Ashachu. xD He looks so weird.
In other news, I am trying to find a white blouse for work and, I kid you not, ALL OF THE GOOD ONES ARE SOLD OUT IN MY SIZE. ;___; I START IN FIVE DAYS, I NEED A SHIRT. I blame them for not telling me the dress code until AFTER all the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. Now I can't find anything.

I think it's the eyes. It's just totally weird but funny all the same. XD
Do they have something like that on Amazon Prime in Australia? That's the only solution I can think of. I had to do Amazon shopping for pants because I can't find anything in 38"x36" in a clothing store.
I checked around during both Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I just didn't see very much worth going after. Mostly just robot vacuums, wireless earbuds, grooming stuff, and a whole lot of other fluff I just didn't need. Meanwhile the discounts were just ah, ok. Like 10% off, which isn't exactly a deal-maker for me.

It's too late to buy something online if I need to get it shipped because it just won't arrive on time, especially with the way the postal service has been lately. I found a couple today that may work, I'll have to go in store tomorrow to try them on, though. My sizing is all over the place since I gained weight. ;__; I just wish I had known earlier before everyone sold out of everything cause of the sales, aha.
Also I got sunburnt yesterday going for my daily walk. It will not fade within five days. :/

Yeah sunburns usually take weeks to heal. Hopefully it'll mostly heal at least. Sorry to hear that.

Yeah, and paying for overnight shipping is especially brutal...
Thankfully I don't recall an incident where I've had to do that.

I can't believe some postal services have express overseas shipping. Probably not at all accurate how things are now.

Don't doubt is ungodly expensive though
Chakramaster
12-04-2020, 04:54 PM
Like $70-80 for shipping alone, yeah
Neo Emolga
12-04-2020, 11:12 PM
Yeah, it would have to be seriously critical for me to do that, because now we're talking shipping being like triple the amount of what the actual product itself costs.
At first I thought Amazon Prime would spoil me and having to order anything with a long shipping time would be pain to go back to, but it's barely noticeable. Sure is nice to have patience. XD
My motivation for anything atm has plummited. I wish i had patience rn.

Sometimes on days like that, I just do the smallest and easiest things first. For the bigger things, maybe get step one or two out of the way. Making those small dents in your to do list add up and makes the daily schedule seem less daunting. Also, listening to music while working helps me a lot.
