Do You Bite or Lick Your Ice Cream?

I usually lick my ice cream, unless it's melting really quickly or the bottom of the cone has a hole and the ice cream starts dripping, in which case I pretty much have to chomp down as fast as I can. I don't really have much issue with the whole freezing thing/"it's too cold to bite!" thing - I tend to ignore the coldness or actually like it since it's really hot where I live. I do tend to bite when I reach the cone, though.

Sometimes my ice cream falls off and I have to put nearly the whole thing in my mouth. The whole freezing thing. My eyes water, my teeth sting and freeze, and I die a little inside.

It depends on the type of ice cream involved--if it's something like a sundae cone (which are awesome), I will bite to get through to the ice cream, and then switch to licking until I get to the chocolate nugget at the bottom.

If it's a Popsicle or Fudgesicle, I'll just lick the whole way

It depends on the level of chunkiness of the ice cream. If it is something smooth like strawberry, chocolate, and the like, I will lick it. If it is like Reese's Pieces ice cream, I will bite it.

WOW IT'S WEIRD BECAUSE I'M EATING ICE CREAM NOW.

I always used to have sensitive teeth so I would lick it, or bite it off with my lips encasing my teeth. XD Now I can bite it, but only briefly and then I have to get the coldness away from my teeth. xD

I can only lick it. If I bite it, I will fall over frozen. I have to put it away from my teeth, sometimes my popsicle falls off the stick and I have to hold it in my mouth, thus, I die inside.

I pretty much always lick it. If I eat it out of a bowl, I sort of just stick the spoon with ice cream on it in my mouth and let it melt a bit, then swallow. .-. I usually turn my spoon over too; not sure why. It's just a weird habit I have.

Generally I lick it. Biting always struck me as being inefficient because you're cramming so much in your mouth that you can't taste the ice cream. And if it's melting off the sides, all you do is twist your wrist a bit and get all the drippings with your tongue. (Of course, I generally only eat soft-serve from a cone; I really dislike hard ice cream in cones.)

I can bite only a very few kinds of ice cream. I tried some very small snickers ice cream the other day which I was able to bite, but not quite the way I bite other foods. I usually go to yolo for frozen yogurt with my friends, get the most, and have it all melt when everyone else is finished with theirs.

I always lick my ice cream so that I can enjoy it. I think the OP here is talking about the ice cream cone. I've only had bowls here. I haven't had a cone in a long time.

Lick, usually. When it comes to ice cream in cups, then I would bite it. I would also bite if I don't have much time. Otherwise, licking is a way to savour the taste of the sweet velvety cream.
