So, I finally decided to get me a PS3--mostly because they're cheap now and I wanted to try Kingdom Hearts 1.5. But hey, it'd be silly to have a console for one game only, so I'm trying to look into some different titles.

I'm super picky about what I play, though, and I'd rather not try any M-rated ones (I might chance Skyrim). Are there any games rating between E and T that you would suggest?

Currently, all I got on my list are Ni no Kuni and Journey xD

Should get Flower, it's a nice zen game.

[Intl] Star Ocean the Last Hope is pretty good, anything that's Ratchet and Clank is one of my personal favs, and also check out the PSN shop for a ton of PS1 games.

Id go with what Sabii said, more specifically the original 3 crash bandicoot and spyro games.

Also, if you like racing games, Midnight Club Los Angeles and Dirt 3 are pretty fun!

Also: Skyrim= Do eet! Do eeeeeeeeeet!

Yeah even though Skyrim is rated M, it's not too bad. XD No super gorey scenes aside from some decapitations.

Oh, also can't forget the Sly Cooper series. I know you can gt the trilogy on one disc for PS3. Same for the first three Ratchet and Clank games.

Hmm, thanks guys! ^^ I'm really thinking I'm going to have to go for Skyrim now xD Also, I ended up getting the Journey Collection game, which came with Flower and Flow--both were really awesome x3

I saw the Sly collection once at a used place... wonder if it's still there :o

Also, I didn't realize you could buy PS1 games on there xD SPYRO!!!!

Why no M rated games? o: I rarely even look at ratings; if something is good it's worth playing no matter the rating. xD I'd have a bunch of suggestions if you were open to them but yeah... I have Flow, Flower and Journey and they're all quite beautiful. Funnily I also have some Spyro games that I've downloaded. Also Little Big Planet and Little Big Planet 2 are good. xD And adorable. Some car racing games are alright (like Blur), but you sorta have to be interested in that genre initially. xD

Soul Calibur IV and V are really great PS3 games. They're an input fighting game like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, and rated T, no blood, etc. Soul Calibur V is my favorite, and the Soul Series is my favorite series behind Pokemon!

ditch the ps3 and get the wii u and wait for majora's mask never coming out for virtual console

Some of the PS3 games that I have personally played and liked were Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, Yu-Gi-Oh! Decade Duels, Pokemon Lost Silver, Godzilla: Monster of Monsters... Pretty much all of the basic PS3 games.

Depends on why you don't want mature themes, I can give you mature games too. Not every rated M for mature comes from "Call of Duty" syndrome. Games like Catherine just deals with a mature theme despite its puzzle game mechanics, or games like Demon's Souls or Dark Souls are mature mainly for its hack-and-slash action elements.

Anyhow, my list of stuff:
Disgaea 3/4/D2 are all entries into the sRPG genre. All of which are fairly similar in terms of its mechanics: strategy RPG with a heavy element in random dungeons and power leveling. The stories tend to follow a demon around or someone who wants to defeat a demon. Characters tend to be over-the-top and generally are hilarious. For example, one of the "badass" demons in Disgaea 3 volunteer and follow the school's rules (whereas honour students are the ones that don't follow school rules).

Tales of Xillia is a fantastic action RPG, with its second installment coming soon on the PS3. The game follows a story of 2 characters who met by chance, a young medical student Jude and a mysterious enchantress Maxwell. It's like playing Final Fantasy with the combat system based around hack-and-slash elements, with quick combos. I grew up on Tales of Symphonia (also on PS3 as a remastered game), so I've been a fan of the series. Tales of Graces f is a slight departure from the Tales formula, but is still enjoyable.

Eternal Sonata: a story that follows Chopin in his dying moments, dreaming of a land from afar. Chopin meets Polka, and they have an adventure. Strangely positive despite you know that he's dying. The mechanics is interesting with the use of light and shadow, where monsters and characters get different properties over time.

Hyperdimension Neptunia (and mk2): Cute anime girls in RPG about a place called gamindustri (Game Industry), with each console system represented by a cute girl. Cute anime girls RPG.

Portal/Portal 2: FPS meets puzzle game. That's basically it.

Valkyria Chronicles: Set in WWII in a fictional world, you play an sRPG game where your units are your military men, with different classes and gun power. The game plays like a cross between turn-based strategy and real time movement/shooting. The story is engrossing and the mechanics are solid. A true gem in the rough for a Japanese game.

Dragon's Crown: In short, Diablo 2 loot system meets a beat 'em up game. you travel through short dungeons like a final fight game with 6 classes, and then get loot, which lets you beat 'em up more, and get more loot. Just like Diablo! The artwork can turn you off though.

3D Dot Game Heroes: Think a cross between Minecraft artstyle and A Link to the Past gameplay.

Resonance of Fate: Interesting JRPG formula.

Fighters include: King of Fighters XIII, Ultra Street Fighter IV, Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma, Aquapazza, Soul Calibur IV and V, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Persona 4: Arena Ultimate.

I was about to say... xD WOW the artwork makes me a little furious. When I'm not laughing at it. xD I do like the mechanics and gameplay style though.

I think the artist got carried away somehow, since neither Odin Sphere nor Muramasa (well nor Grim Grimoire either) had the outrageous artwork, but still in the same art style. So I really have no idea why the artwork went in this direction in Dragon's Crown.

XD I just hastily accredited it to the whole anime theme... xD But yes, it is rather peculiar. I chose the elf because of her less ridiculous features.

Lol I've been playing mostly M for Mature games now and forgot what T and E games I like. If you permit M rated games at all then I recommend The Last of Us. Trust me, it's way better than a Call of Duty FPS game. The setting, plot, and characters, as much as the gameplay, are intriguing. And I pretty much hate on shooter games besides Resident Evil.

I actually just started playing Soul Calibur V and I enjoy it. Good recommendation, Corey.

And I echo the Tales of series. I haven't played Xillia yet but I'm sure it's good. Graces was good.

I had a lot of fun doing the Colosseum on KH 1.5, especially fighting the Ice Titan. Still haven't done everything I want on the game to finally beat the Mystery boss and Sephiroth.
