Good evening ladies and gentlemen! I am Lord Celebi, one of your three lovely WAR Leaders for PXR's first-ever WAR game. If you're unfamiliar with the WAR, it is a traditional summer game originally created on Pokemon Elite 2000 wherein different clubs (called teams) compete in different categories across the board like Role Play, fan fiction, or URPG, for points. At the end of the "season," the team with the most points is declared the winner.
The heart of the WAR, is of course, the teams. Starting now, anyone is allowed to post a thread in the Groups/Clubs forum to start a WAR team. It can be a canon "Team" from the Pokemon universe (Rocket, Magma, Galactic, etc), a team from prior WARs (Like Team Nox or Team Flora--shoot me a PM if you'd like more details on these), or a team entirely of your own creation! Just make sure that each team thread has
Team Goals. What does you team hope to accomplish and how? It is important to note that these should be serious goals--this isn't a Parody WAR.
A sign-up form. Teams should be open for anyone to join should they choose to.
A members list, so we can keep track of how many members a team has.
Team threads can also include numerous other fun things to entice people to join, like graphics, a motto, or custom user ranks. If you'd like an example of a pimped out team page, check out this thread for Team Aqua from WAR VIII (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73816).
When your team has gained 5 members, please post here. The WAR Leaders will then accept you as an official entrant into the WAR! This year, members of teams will be able to display a custom userbar next to each of their posts with their WAR team affiliation, just to make the WAR extra cool.
And be on the look out for PXR WAR Season 1's start date to be announced soon.
