Prologue
Terminal Conditions
For the past sixty-seven years, the nations of Maridia have thrived in an unprecedented peace. Food was plentiful, trade was high, and happiness was abound all over the planet. Humans began to invest much of their time and energy towards science and education, hoping to advance their species beyond the third rock from the sun. Dr. Boris Petrovich, a scientist searching for a better way for humans to communicate with Pokemon achieved a breakthrough in biological technology. At the 2014 Hoenn Biomedical Conference, Dr. Petrovich debuted the “Burst Heart,” a device that is able to merge the pulses of Pokemon and human into one being. Demonstrating its effects, he merged his wife, Katarina, with a Gardevoir. From the smoke emerged a pale-skinned humanoid figure garbed in the fine silks of Gardevoir. With only a thought, Katarina Petrovich was able to move objects and members of the audience with only her mind. Her Pokemon’s power had become hers.
In the back of the audience, General Terence Eiling of Hoenn was impressed. He saw to it that Petrovich received funding to mass-produce the Burst Hearts, with Hoenn’s military having a monopoly on the Burst Heart technology. With this breakthrough, war had changed. The balance of power shifted in Hoenn’s favor.
Drunk with their new power, Hoenn put higher taxes on their exported goods and demanded their imports for a lower price under the threat of violence. All nations capitulated except for one: Orre. Staunchly refusing to export their precious Dracaria metal for any price lower than what they thought was fair, Orre refused to do business with Hoenn.
On May 6th, Hoenn struck back. In the dead of night, a single platoon of Burst soldiers destroyed Realgem Tower and filled a barge in Gateon Port with as much Dracaria as would fit. They sailed these pirated goods back to Hoenn and delivered a message to the rest of the world: Hoenn is at the top of the food chain.
The Burst Hearts kept a dark secret. What Petrovich did not reveal was that the Burst Heart was not science, but in fact, ancient magick whose secrets his wife, an anthropologist, discovered in an ancient Nasmar Temple hidden in the jungles of Fiore. This secret was uncovered by a separate anthropological team deployed by Violet University to explore the Fiore Temple. The four scientists returned with a four relics from the antiquated civilization: the Ancient Burst Hearts. When one used this Burst Heart, it allowed the merged Pokemon and Human to achieve a Mega Evolution, greatly enhancing their power. Understanding that these devices could literally turn the tide of any war, the four scientists separated, each taking an Ancient Burst Heart with them.
Fearing Hoenn’s power, every nation put a bounty on the heads of the scientists. Everyone existed in a state of constant tension: rumors persisted that such and such nation had found one of the Ancient Burst Hearts. Suddenly, each nation was left to fend for themselves against every other country on the planet. A world war was imminent. All that was necessary was a catalyst.
On June 23rd, 2014, the oil tanker Vulkar exploded off the coast of Kanto, filling the country’s bay with millions of tons of toxic sludge. Whilst the surviving crewman insisted that this was due to a mechanical failure, the nation of Kanto suspected foul play from the neighboring nation of Johto. Kanto quickly declared war on Johto as the two fought to a stalemate in the heights of the Silver Mountains separating the two regions. With two nations going at it, the rest attempted to capitalize on the situation and carve up both Kanto and Johto, hoping to find an Ancient Burst Heart.
With the world at death’s doorstep, various factions, NGOs, guerilla groups, and terrorists took up arms to take their world back. Amidst the chaos of the world, these rogues, outlaws, and heroes hoped that they could shift the tides of war and remake the world in their image.
This infinite-sided conflict was dubbed by the newsmedia to be World War Terminus, the war to end them all.
Burst Hearts
Burst Hearts are from the Pokemon spinoff comic Reburst. For more information on their original source and what a Burst Mode looks like, be sure to check out the relevant Bulbapedia page. (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Burst)
You are allowed to Burst with any of your six Pokemon.
Bursting is a temporary power-up. Simply grab your Burst Heart and merge yourself with one of your six Pokemon. Your minds will become one, and you will be able to borrow from your Pokemon's power. This also changes your appearance, giving you a kind of armor that looks similar to your Pokemon.
All RP player characters will start with a Burst Heart as a pre-requisite, as a small cache of Burst Hearts has leaked from Hoenn onto the black market. NPCs will need to steal them from the Hoenn military.
Bursting with a legendary Pokemon is more powerful than bursting with a normal Pokemon.
Ancient Burst Hearts allow one to Mega Evolve while in Burst Mode, greatly increasing your power. I wonder what happens when you use an Ancient Burst Heart with a legendary Pokemon?
If the Mega Evolution for the Pokemon you are going to Ancient Burst with does not exist, you may create it.
Ancient Burst Hearts require an extensive amount of excellent RPing in order to obtain. They are this season's "collectible" item.
Other Notes
I encourage you, as a team, to determine your team's back story in the Role Play. Each team should pick the region of their greatest influence to start in (one region per team).
As has been fanonized by Neo Emolga and myself, the planet of the Pokemon World is called "Maridia."
This is a Team RP style Role Play. For those unfamiliar, this is a Role Play centered around taking control of land from other Role Players' teams. This must be done through skilled Role Playing.
To assist, players can create ships, weapons, tanks and practically any other war machine that their heart desires (provided it fits within a modern technological setting). The power of these tools is, of course, determined by the amount of Role Playing effort put into them. For example, a ten-post strength battleship that was only addressed with a throwaway line in each of those post could easily be steam-rolled by a ten-post submarine whose construction was far more in depth.
All weapons must have some kind of weakness. Nothing is invincible.
Project lists are banned.
Don't write off your Burst Heart powers. Heroes using these abilities effectively can single-handedly turn the tide of battle.
For now, please keep role playing on Maridia at a modern technological level and within this dimension. If the role play goes on for long enough and based on the demand of the Role Players, we can expand the RP into future technological levels, to other planets, to other dimensions, and/or to other planes of being depending on where the RP goes.
If your character dies, I would be open to discussing afterlife elements.
For those unfamiliar with the art of RPing, please refer to Neo Emolga's excellent guide on how to Role Play the PXR way. (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?180-The-Pok%E9mon-Crossroads-Role-Playing-Guide-%28Beginners-Advanced-and-Role-Play-Creation%29)
Please refer to Serebii's Pokearth (http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/) for information on the geographic locations of regions in relation to each other, except for Almia, which should be at the Southern Tip (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Pokemonworld.png) of Sinnoh. (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Almia#Trivia) Unova takes Almia's place as the easternmost region next to Fiore and Kalos will be located on the westernmost side of the map next to Orre. The Orange Islands are not a region. In addition, anime-exclusive locations will not be featured in this RP.
Your lovely GMs this WAR will be Saraibre Ryu and myself. Sabi will be serving as the Judge of this section when the RP starts, distributing points each week as a reward for excellent RPing.
This RP will start next Sunday: June 29, 2014 at 12:01 a.m. EST.
Rules
This RP is based upon the three golden rules of RPing:
No godmoding.
No bunnying other characters.
No instant teleportation. Travel across great distances requires at least one post of travel.
When the GMs feel the rules have been broken, they will immediately invalidate the post in question and ask the poster to change it.
If, following prior warning, or if done flagrantly, rule-breaking will be punished with a strike. Three strikes equals an immediate ban from the Role Play.
If the incident is particularly heinous, we reserve the right to ban you from the RP without prior warning or strikes.
Please start each of your posts off with the following header for everyone's convenience:

Team Awesome would like to take on Johto for their region.
Not sure how to go about formally requesting that. Also, my character's SU will be posted here.
Johto Backstory:
Johto. The region between Hoenn and Kanto. Famously known for its advancements in the industry of entertainment. At least until the war started.
Before the war with Kanto, Johto's economy was booming. It was all thanks to Harper Industries. They mysteriously took the world of entertainment by storm. It started with the Goldenrod Radio tower selling out to a private investor after the elderly CEO passed away. The family didn't want the to keep the business going. Said it brought back memories they didn't want to keep. Memories of Team Rocket, specifically. The investors, Mary and Oliver Harper, were young. However, they had a combined 16 years of experience between them. Together they took charge of the media, and grew outwards and upwards. They called this media and entertainment juggernaut, "Harper Industries," and it slowly became the foundation on which Johto's economy stood.
Soon, they began developing computers, gaming systems, televisions, wireless services, cellular services, and so much more. They were the leaders of the entertainment and media empire. However, there was a dark secret that this media titan kept from the rest of Maridia. In the early stages, an investor came to them, believing that they would become great, and wanted in on their success. That investor was Giovanni. The family didn't know what they were getting into initially, but when they came to learn Giovanni's plans, it was too late for them to do anything about it. They soon faced the media with new gadgets and gizmos, while to their backs, Giovanni developed biological weapons, and conducted scientific experiments on Pokémon.
Everyone high up in the company knew about Giovanni's works, no one said anything because he ended up owning half of the company. If they said anything, they'd all be out of a job, and the company would be shut down. The only person who didn't know what Mary and Oliver's young son, Lance. This small radio tower in Goldenrod City ended up becoming a region-wide industry, providing several methods of joy and entertainment to all of Johto's citizens. It was all funded by a mad man who sought to dominate and control the world.
Then everything got even more crazy. Some revolution happened in Hoenn over a shiny rock that could fuse a human with their Pokémon and give them their powers, and a ship blew up in a harbor in Kanto. Kanto went to war with Johto, and someone started rumors of some "Ancient Burst Heart" being located in Johto, so we had every other country in Maridia invading our lands and trying to gain power. The person behind those rumors was Giovanni. Only Mary and Oliver knew this, but they were both killed by an unknown assailant. Likely a member of Team Rocket, or Giovanni himself. Leaving a young and ignorant Lance Harper to lead his family's company. However, it wasn't long until Giovanni took his pet projects and left the company. Without his investment, the company took a massive hit, and crumbled away beneath Lance's feet. Johto was in ruin, war plagued every city and every town, and hope was but a glimmer on the horizon. The people of Johto were at a loss, overpowered and helpless against the forces that overtook their region every single day. Yet, no Ancient Burst Heart had revealed itself.
As for the war, Kanto initiated it by blaming the tanker explosion on Johto. Johto denied these accusations, and Kanto retaliated with violence. This caused potential investors for Harper Industries to flee from Johto before any deals could be made. This war continues to wage both politically and physically. The toll that all of this is taking on the Pokémon is enough to make anyone sick. But, men need to have their wars. Need to have their bigger stick than the other guy. So the Pokémon get to suffer for it.
As for Harper Industries, it appeared as if though it was done for, every media anchor left to avoid being harmed or killed, many of those who lost their jobs sought revenge on Lance for the faults of his parents' trust in Giovanni. Considering Harper Industries over time became the very foundation in which Johto stood economically, once it all came crashing down, so did Johto. There was little to nothing left. This is where our story begins.
Name:
Lance Harper
Gender:
Male
Age:
23
Description:
Lance is a tall young man with an astounding athletic physique. He not only looks it, he IS it. He can do many things that most other men WISH they could. The reason he remains in such good shape is his own secret which no one knows. He has short dark brown hair, piercing icy blue eyes that could steal your soul, an olive skin tone, and when his shirt is off, a large scar across his chest. This scar was delivered by his Scizor when it was a Scyther. He occasionally maintains a light goatee with an even lighter 5 o'clock shadow. He feels this defines him as an energetic young adult. His attire varies from expensive suits to form fitting polo t-shirts and ripped up jeans that were actually purchased all ripped up. While he usually has a smile on his face to promote his innocent appearance, after the war started, he rarely smiles. The stress of the situation has become visible by just looking at his expression. Also after the war's start, he obtained a sleeveless, heavily worn out, hooded zip-up jacket. This jacket is red in color. He is rarely seen not wearing this hoodie.
Personality:
Lance is a complicated young man. His life as an irresponsible playboy, living off of his parents' money was suddenly ripped way with the collapse of his family's empire. Their deaths and his losses caused him to change mentally and emotionally. Any time you see that side of him, now, it is a cover to conceal the inner workings of his mind. He is calculating, studious, and always planning his next step.
Aside from the war, and the effects it had on him, Lance was always smiling, always happy to be alive. He was care free, high spirited, and generally liked by everyone who didn't hate him for his rich boy life style. Most people remember Lance this way, and upon seeing the cold and serious person he's become, they see a complete stranger. Lance is damaged, and it shows, but there's some part of him that still gives off that likable and carefree part of him, as he lets it show to keep those close to him from worrying so much.
Background:
Since birth, Lance was always full of energy. He lived every day to its fullest. He was born into a family of wealth and influence over many things. Politics, Business, and even the Underground thanks to Giovanni. Yeah, Giovanni. The mastermind and leader of Team Rocket. Growing up, Lance never knew the evil blood that ran in Giovanni's veins. So to him, he was "Uncle Van." Lance went to a private school, but kept to himself. The only person he ever often socialized with was his younger brother, Alastair.
In his early teen years is when he started to open up, more. Taking interest in women. This is when he got his first Pokémon as well. A Scyther who otherwise hated his smug and brash trainer. Several complicated incidents occurred between Lance and Scyther, most of which Scyther outwitted and outmaneuvered Lance. The most notable of which was a physical altercation which saw Scyther carve a massive gash over Lance's chest. Mary and Oliver, Lance's parents, wanted to put the Scyther down. Lance intervened verbally, admitting it was his fault that Scyther attacked him. After this, Scyther and Lance gradually grew closer, and formed a powerful bond.
In his mid to late teen years, Lance became very secretive, he began running away, and staying gone for days at a time. He would miss school, and act out rebelliously against his family. This was due to keeping a secret that no one knew about. When he was 15, he was out for a morning jog when he crossed a purse snatching. However, before anyone could act. He watched a man appear from nowhere, and knock the man unconscious by simply extending his arm. Lance followed the man for a few days until he was busted. The man introduced himself as Kenji Gazette.
For the next five years, and after much convincing, Lance trained under Kenji, and became a master of many unique and secret skills (Some or most of which will be revealed in this RP. =D). During his training, he caught his first Pokémon, a Houndour. Upon his return home, his relationship with his family was damaged, and he spent the years of 19-21 repairing it. Working hard to prove himself worthy of his place in the family company.
On his 18th birthday, his father gave him a rock that he had obtained on his journeys when he was younger. He told him that its usefulness would come when he needed it most. His father believed that he would become a great man, a great leader, and remain a great person. This was his goal as a man and as father. Although Lance was rarely present for family gatherings, Oliver Harper was still proud of his son. However, on this very same day, Alistair had decided to leave on his Pokémon Journey, this made that particular day end with very mixed emotions.
Then, tragedy struck. On the eve of his 23rd birthday, Alastair was gone, his parents were murdered in the night, and Uncle Van had vanished mysteriously. The business had crumbled around him, His friends left him because they didn't believe he'd be able to recover, and therefore wouldn't have the money they were used to him having. All of this damaged Lance. His heart was broken, his will was shattered, and all the joy in his life had simply evaporated. All that was was left him, apart from the company which meant little to him at this stage, was a flash drive.
Everything on that flash drive spoke the truth of the whole incident. The truth behind their deaths, the company, Alastair, and Giovanni. Upon watching the video on this flash drive, his direction became clear..
Pokémon:
(Speedy) Scizor
(Ace) Houndoom
(Edge) Haxorus
(Brink) Swampert
(Bane) Machamp
(Flash) Manectric
Other:
I may occasionally involved Kenji Gazette, I'll include a link to a past SU of his to describe him in more detail. Lance's five years of training with Kenji allows him to use multiple varieties of weapons with great skill. However, putting a Bo Staff or Bow in his hands makes him the most lethal.

Name: Molly Ann Franklin
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Description: Molly is rather short only standing about 5 feet. She has what people would call icy blue eyes though she wouldn't know because she can’t see very well, though she’s not considered to be legally blind. She does wear glasses when doing certain things but most of the time she doesn't. She’s got chestnut brown hair that’s in a pixie cut. She can usually be found in a t-shirt and track pants. Depending on what she wears her shoes will usually match.
Personality: Due to her years of training she had built this strong front to her and refuses to let her size get in the way. If someone tells her she can’t do it she’ll shove them out of the way and show them how it’s done. She’ll be the first one to want to help but if you double cross her you better watch your back. She doesn't forget what one has done to her. Don’t let her seriousness fool you she can be fun and outgoing once you get to know her.
Background: She was born and raised in Vermillion City of the Kanto region. She was always “different” because she couldn't see very well and was made fun of in school. Her parents did the best to encourage her. When she first started running off her parents presented her with an Eevee in hopes that having a Pokemon as a friend would help her out. Though when things got tough for her she would run away though it wasn't very far. At first her parents would worry but once they realized where she was running off to they just waited for her to come home. Where was she running off too? The Vermillion City Gym. She would sneak in to watch Lt. Surge take on the trainers that would come to challenge him for the Thunder Badge. After many attempts to sneaking in she finally got caught a few years later. She explained her story and why she would sneak in. She asked if he would be willing to train her after showing him her Eevee. He told her it would be nothing but hard work and drills and that he wouldn't go easy on her and she agreed.
After years of hard work, determination and the will to never give up she worked her way up through the ranks and became one of the trainers of the Gym. By this time she had evolved her Eevee into Jolteon and caught, raised and evolved her Magnemite into a Magneton. She would train out near the caves and this is where she caught her Diglett and trained it into a Dugtrio. It was through Dugtrio that she learned her seismic senses. Dugtrio would burrow underground and she would learn to follow Dugtrio by feeling the movements in the ground. She would meet her Braviary as a lone little Rufflet who had strayed from his nest. Unlike her other Pokemon Rufflet went after her out of defense but couldn't fly away. It took a few days but she was able to catch Rufflet and mend his injured wing. Once he was well enough to be released she tried to do so but instead wanted to be with her.
She was talking with Lt. Surge and he was telling her about the problems that were starting to happen. She was starting to notice the increased amount of Grimers, Muks, Trubbish and Garbodors starting to appear near the Harbor. She had found out that one of the oil tankers had exploded and that’s what was causing the increased amounts of Poison Pokemon. This is where she was able to capture a Garbodor. She had expressed her concerns that she needed to help end whatever was going on. Lt. Surge being a man of the army understood where she was coming from and gave his approval.
Pokemon: Jolteon, Magneton, Dugtrio, Braviary and Garbodor
Other: Because of her not being able to see very well she uses her other senses. Most notably her acute hearing and seismic sense. (Please see Toph Beifong (http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Toph_Beifong) for a better understanding on seismic senses. (http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Seismic_sense))

Oh, by the way, if people want to do multiple characters, I don't really care. Aqua is also taking Hoenn.
Name: Norton “Norb” Whitehall
Gender: Male
Age: 57
Team: Aqua
Description:
Physically, Whitehall’s best days are behind him. The aches and creaks of near-senior citizen status have overtaken his body, curving his posture and shrinking his height. The shorter man also has packed on a little paunch since beginning a political life in Evergrande, despite his best efforts to stay healthy. Along with the paunch, his lined face has the hint of jowels. His head is balding on the top and graying on the side. The aged politician is almost ready to accept his hair is never coming back and shave off the rest.
When unhinged, Whitehall normal smile is peeled back to reveal a notorious scowl. Those that have seen Whitehall in his “moods” have remarked that it is one of the most frightening things that they have ever seen.
Personality:
Norb Whitehall is a masterful politician. Friends with everyone, he is quick to perform favors for others in order to get as many people in positions of power in his pocket. Known in Evergrande as a man of action, Whitehall is able to effectively create and manage political support in order to achieve whatever ends are currently in his sights. For this reason, Whitehall is considered to be a powerful politician.
In his private life, Whitehall is a functioning alcoholic. Never far from his “only friend,” Jack Daniels, Whitehall uses his vices as a means of coping with the stresses of Evergrande. His alcoholism is what drove his wife, Mitzi Whitehall, away from them. The two are now separated, only appearing together for political purposes. The nation, for the most part, is unaware of Whitehall’s separation.
The aging politician often subverts his own anger, hoping a cooler head will allow him more maneuverability in a situation. However, when his buttons are pressed just right, Whitehall’s rage is like that of a furious tempest: large, frightening, and completely destructive. Those that have seen Whitehall’s rage, Mitzi excluded, have not thrived long enough to tell the tale.
Background:
Raised in Fallharbor Town, Norton “Norb” Whitehall was born to a high pedigree of old Hoenn money. Always a “good ole boy” his upbringing had been advantaged and privileged in every way possible. After easily getting into Slateport University, Hoenn’s best school, Whitehall studied political science and began plotting his road to the top. He quickly worked his way into Hoenn’s parliament in Evergrande City and from there extended his tendrils into every facet of the country’s government that he could.
Upon his election to the position of Senior Representative for Fallharbor, one of Whitehall’s friends in Rustoboro, the home of Hoenn’s military, caught wind of a massacre known only as Incident 731. The surviving perpetrators of 731, members of Hoenn’s military, were dishonorably discharged and sentenced to death. Whitehall struck first.
He met the three soldiers convicted of war crimes: Raidon Makoto, the platoon leader; Finch Reynolds, Makoto’s right-hand man, and Tyrus “Tiantus” Hale, a scientist assigned to the unit with a penchant for human experimentation. Whitehall agreed to save their lives in exchange for their absolute and unquestioning loyalty. The three readily agreed and were freed by associates of Whitehall’s. Whitehall then told the trio about where an aircraft carrier that belonged to Hoenn’s military was being taken in for repairs and when exactly it would be the least guarded.
With the aircraft carrier in tow, a very active recruiting campaign, and Whitehall’s generous funding, the terrorist group “Team Aqua” was born and belonged completely to the hopeful dominator. With his final piece in play, and World War Terminus on the horizon, Whitehall plans to use the chaos created by Team Aqua to propel himself to the top of Evergrande’s food chain.
Pokemon: None.
Other: None.
Name: Raidon Makoto
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Team: Aqua
Description:
An incredibly well-built man for his age, Makoto is just barely starting to slow down. Standing at a towering 6 foot, 3 inches, Makoto’s entire presence commands the room. When on duty, Makoto wears a typical Aqua uniform (blue drab Kevlar vest and pants) on top of a flowing, dark blue-almost-black trenchcoat. On his back is the Sinnohese Kanji for “Hyena” in honor of the school of martial arts he developed with his master, Kasim Lordran. Under the trenchcoat, two katana blades rest on his left hip.
When not on duty, Makoto is predisposed to showing off. He is usually caught lounging around the Deathwing break room in wifebeater tees with “Aqua Athletics” stamped on the front and jeans. While having the decency to not carry his swords around with him when he is not in battle, he sometimes is equipped with a wooden bokken sword.
Personality:
Makoto’s attitude can be boiled down to one phrase: devil may care. He’s carefree in all regards: life, interpersonal relations, and morals. Besides the strict samurai code of honor drilled into him by Lordran in his youth, Makoto has no problems justifying morally gray actions if they feel right at the time. He is notoriously hard to get a rise out of, much to his right-hand man’s chagrin.
The dread lord of the Deathwing is fiercely protective of his soldiers. He is staunch in his resolve to fight alongside his battle-brothers in every fight and because of this, has enough charisma to convince a Saint to sin. These strong interpersonal relations are the glue that keeps Aqua together. More than anything, the group is Raidon Makoto’s exclusive cult of personality.
Background:
Raidon Makoto and Tyrus Hale grew up penniless together on the streets of Sootopolis. Both products of abandonment, the two absolutely depended on each other for survival. While Hale was the brains of their operation, Makoto was the face and the brawn. Attempting everything from petty con artistry to grand robbery, the two delinquent youth were smalltime street thugs until they completely fleeced a Sinnoh immigrant named Kasim Lordran. Just as the pair thought they were getting away, Lordran revealed that he knew exactly what they were doing the entire time and that he was prepared to kill them unless they returned everything they stole. Understandably, Makoto and Hale bolted. Lordran was faster.
Impressed with the cut of their jib, Lordran spared the two and instead took them in. The immigrant funded Hale’s education in one of Sootopolis most exclusive gifted schools while he passed down the art of the sword to Makoto. Together, they developed a two-sword style called Haienado, the way of the hyena, after the limberness of the technique and the insanity of using two blades in combat.
Lordran died of cancer when the boys turned 18. Stuck without a way to pay for college, Hale joined Hoenn’s military to take advantage of the GI Bill. Unwilling to let his best friend and brother to risk his life alone, Makoto joined him. By a stroke of luck, the two managed to be assigned to the same platoon wherein they became acquainted with Leigh “Finch” Reynolds, another slum dog like Makoto and Hale. The trio became fast friends and rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the basis of an elite commando squad at the tender age of 22.
Makoto’s Lambda Squad was assigned on a mission to Orre to wipe out what Hoenn intelligence thought to be a child soldier training camp. However, Makoto discovered that it was in fact only a refugee camp. As they were preparing to leave, a racist member of Makoto’s platoon opened fire on one of the armed militants in the camp. A skirmish between the armed adults and Lambda Squad broke out. When it was apparent that the armed militants wouldn’t win, one of the militants took it upon himself to massacre the children “so they wouldn’t fall into Hoenn’s hands.”
As the ashes settled, Makoto, Hale, and Reynolds were the only three left alive from Lambda Squad amidst at least one hundred corpses, mostly innocent children. It was a massacre and it wasn’t their fault. Named Incident 731 by Hoenn’s internal affairs, the massacre was covered up by Hoenn’s special forces and the three were swiftly sentenced to death following a kangaroo court military tribunal.
On the night before his execution, the three made contact with Norton “Norb” Whitehall, a prominent Hoenn politician. He agreed to set them free and arm them in exchange for their loyalty. Not seeing any better options, the three agreed. They stole a Hoenn ship named the Angelwing the following night and Makoto rechristened it the AMS Deathwing, the first ship in Team Aqua’s fleet. Makoto recruited relentlessly while Tyrus Hale finished his dual PhDs in mechanical engineering and cell biology at Blackthorn University, filling the stolen ship, and performing odd jobs for Norb Whitehall along the way.
It didn’t seem right to Makoto though—Whitehall had to have something grander in mind. He wouldn’t just free S-class criminals and set them up as a proper terrorist network for fun, would he?
The guilt of Incident 731 has stayed with Makoto since that fateful night in Orre. Each night, he prayed to the god that he didn’t believe in to take back the entire mission and make it as if it never happened. On one hand, he would lose the Deathwing and the life he built. On the other, it would mean that the innocent children in the refugee camp would still be alive. Hellbent on correcting the past, Makoto has become obsessed with the only being he is convinced will allow him to do so: Celebi. Believing it to just be a myth, Makoto has settled for the second best option: take over the world and prevent another Incident 731 from ever happening again, no matter how many eggs he needs to break.
Following the onset of World War Terminus, Makoto has finally seen an opening to make a land grab and carve out a little piece of Maridia for himself and his battle-brothers to begin their quest for world domination. He now feels as if he had outgrown the need for Norb Whitehall and has decided that the politician works for him now, and not the other way around.

Name: Captain Noah "Neo" Ashfield
Gender: Male
Age: 32
Description: Standing 6'2" and weighing 200 pounds, Ashfield has a fair skin tone and a strong, muscular frame. Meanwhile, he has dark brown eyes and long, wild black hair with crimson highlights. He doesn't have too many scars either, but in general, he has a very wild, casual, and renegade like appearance.
For clothing, Ashfield typically wears the Team Aqua uniform, but when he wants to blend in with the rest of the crowd, he wears a white graphic t-shirt, a black leather jacket, a black cadet cap, and black denim jeans with black sneakers. Because of his tendency to fight rough and get into frantic battles, his clothing often is frayed and torn in places.
While Ashfield may not be the most brawniest member of Team Aqua, he can still pack a solid punch and still has the dexterity without being a slow lug of a soldier. Very often he can be seen carrying explosive weapons and light machine guns like an M60 or MG4.
Personality: Ashfield is a thrill-seeker who loves explosives, action, and destruction. He also doesn't mind dirty places, pollution, and filthy environments. Terrible smells don't get to him either. In addition, subtlety, stealth, and secrecy are definitely not in Ashfield's vocabulary. He likes the biggest, most explosive weapons, machines, and vehicles, and likes nothing more than a whole lot of overkill. To him, the comedic value is priceless, and watching his enemies panic at the sheer size of his equipment is all he needs for a good laugh.
To Ashfield's enemies, he's extremely irritating with his sarcastic politeness, foul manners, and the way he treats every enemy like a disobedient child. He also taunts, makes crude jokes, and mocks his enemies even right in the heat of combat. In addition to enjoying a gross and immature sense of humor, he's also very much an egotist. In the face of danger and against his worst enemies, Ashfield knows there's no better way to defeat them than with humiliating, crushing defeat and with a lot of taunting. He often deploys a sense of dark humor when facing his enemies, giving his forces and superweapons capricious and humorous names, very akin to Team Aqua's air force, the All Clown Squadron of Fun. He feels the air force aren't the only ones that can employ a play on names and make the enemy forces feel pathetic and downright embarrassed to painfully lose against such whimsical but powerful and punishing weaponry and forces.
Ashfield is also easily bored and impatient. He loves nothing more than an all-out explosive battle fiesta with lots of collateral damage. He's looking forward to helping Team Aqua dominate the world in a way they would never suspect. To him, if the world is going to end, it's certainly going to go out with a lot of bangs, booms, and explosions and certainly not with a whimper.
When not on foot as infantry, Ashfield likes to drive heavy tanks, machines, and weaponry.
Background: Ashfield was born into a military family in Slateport City, Hoenn. His mother, Nancy, was a Navy technician while his father, Trevor, was a Major within the Hoenn Navy. As a result, Ashfield was often neglected as a child and did some mischief as a kid, especially with firecrackers and fireworks. By the age of six, he was already cranking out perfect molotov cocktails. He blew up the barbecue propane tank, the water heater, and lastly, the family SUV.
His parents figured a Pokémon journey might be right for him, so he started with a Stunky given to him by his dad (was going for a cheap price) and traveled throughout Hoenn, capturing, trading, and obtaining Pokémon for roughly around three years before he collected all eight badges and moved onto the League. He made it to the semifinals, but was disqualified when his Dragonite continued to attack an Ampharos that the referee had already declared to be unable to battle. The opposing trainer had taunted Ashfield for hours before the match that his Ampharos would wipe the floor with his team, and Ashfield couldn't resist proving him wrong to the extreme. Even after being disqualified, he laughed about it as the Ampharos was a broken, beaten mess that spent two months in a Pokémon Center undergoing intense physical therapy.
After being disqualified, Ashfield headed back to return to the Navy, just about the only place where he could blow up stuff and not be punished for it. In fact, the Navy soon realized his abilities in bomb making and chemistry and decided to have him mentored so such skills and ambition could be put to better use against Hoenn's enemies. As a result, Ashfield quickly became a demolitions expert, skilled with explosive charges and explosive weaponry. He was trained to identify weak-points in structural integrity, use target leading, and master bomb-crafting.
Ashfield had become very talented at his role and was expected to mentor others, only he didn't take it seriously, got reckless with some of his experiments, and eventually ended up causing an unintentional fire back at base, which resulted in a dishonorable discharge. He was sentenced to a prison term of thirty years, and the last thing Ashfield wanted was to become a ugly old man on his day of release.
Ashfield escaped from prison and fell under the scrutiny of Norton Whitehall, who had already gathered a team of other Hoenn soldiers that had been dishonorably discharged for war crimes. Ashfield pledged his loyalty to Team Aqua, enjoying the aspect of being able to use his skills without the rules or red tape.
Since then, he's been made the Captain of Special Weapons. It's good news for Team Aqua, bad news for everyone else and their material assets.
Pokémon: Skuntank (M), Dragonite (M), Emolga (M), Floatzel (M), Wailord (M), Dewgong (M)
Other: Ashfield typically uses light machine guns against infantry and rocket launchers as anti-tank ordinance. He's also gotten talented at hitting helicopters with rocket launchers, which is not an easy task.

Thanks. And one more.
Name: Janine "Angel" Price
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Team: Team Aqua
Description: Janine stands 5'8" and has long, brown hair that flows down her back and slightly curls towards the ends. Meanwhile, she has green irises and usually wears a casual, cheerful, no worries kind of expression on her face. Meanwhile, she has a slim, healthy build, and also happens to be a vegetarian. She also undergoes a lot of cardio training by running and swimming. Meanwhile, she also doesn't mind getting a little dirty from adventure and rowdy fun.
As Janine Price is one of Team Aqua's best scientists and chemists aside from Tyrus Hale, you'd never think she was one. She dresses in the traditional Team Aqua uniform with a blue bandana, black and white cutoff shirt, and blue jeans with black fingerless gloves. in addition, she has a brown, leather belt with her Pokéballs and a tiny plush Buneary key chain hanging from it. She also likes to carry a white backpack around as well, which contains all her stuff.
Personality: Reckless, naive, and to some she's probably clinically insane, Janine Price is quite unpredictable in terms of behavior. Meanwhile, things she considers fun and interesting are things others would consider ridiculous and psychotic. Very rarely does she think about the consequences of her rather reckless actions in her love for adventure, but if something does go wrong, to her it's usually no biggie, as long as a lot of blood and guts aren't involved. As a result, she does stuff that gets her into trouble, thinks the consequences are always reversible or can just be easily put up with, and generally is fun-loving and welcomes the opportunity to do something wild, fun, and crazy.
Janine adores cute and adorable things, and has a Pokémon team to match that kind of aspiration. She's one of those kinds of trainers that would rather try to win with her favorites than try to win with tough, powerful Pokémon. In addition, she loves sweet and sugary things like candy and ice cream, and her favorite colors are pink and white. While the mission for Team Aqua has put her in a spot that's probably far away from those things, she's out to have a good time with it anyway. Her strategy consists of making her enemies feel like idiots and fall under sheer humiliation.
She's also knowledgeable in terms of science and computers, although she goes out of her way to avoid appearing to look like a geek or a nerd. She knows her biology and chemistry, but likes to use "real people" terms instead of the usual scientific jargon and avoids acronyms whenever possible. Meanwhile, she's also an expert computer hacker and programmer, usually into dismantling serious-looking government and corporate websites, and then upload something much more cheerful-looking with flowers, cute Pokémon, and rainbows. She also knows how to break into databases, but only does it when she's bored, and doesn't usually do it to be malicious or destructive, usually just to say she could do it. Usually most of the stuff she uncovers is pretty boring.
Janine is one of Team Aqua's stars when it comes to the research and development of new drugs, chemicals, and even her latest work, mutagens. She just loves messing around with various things to help benefit Team Aqua and make every one of her enemies be subject to sheer humiliation and mayhem.
Background: Janine was born in Driftveil City, Unova, to her father Douglas Price and her mother Karen Price. Even as a baby, Janine liked to get around, started walking at an early age, and explore unknown places in her wanderlust. As she got older, she liked to spend time outside and had a fondness for cute Pokémon.
She hated school though, very easily bored except when she was outside during recess or during gym classes. She liked science a bit, since that also involved outside stuff at times, but she really couldn't stand reading, history, and really hated math. She'd do the work okay and she understood the material, but couldn't wait until it was over. She liked science because she liked to screw around with stuff during labs and learn all the fascinating things living creatures do. Meanwhile, she liked computer classes, but for the wrong reasons. She wasn't so keen about learning "other people's" software as opposed to making her own programs and making the computer essentially be her slave and force them do what she wanted, which sometimes included stupid, funny, or adorable things. Early on, she got into the inner groundwork of computers, trying not to be an extreme geek about it, but easily understood that computers were incredibly fast but also incredibly stupid machines, and were only as "smart" as the ones who programmed them to be.
Going on a Pokémon journey was the best part of her life, but she got too carried away with it, taking too long to complete her journey from the endless amount of distractions she got into along the way. Two years into it and only three badges later, she had to head back to school to continue her education, and she was pretty bummed out about it. So, she majored in biology with a minor in computer science, although with a bit of regret as she was constantly in "nerd herds" with her fellow classmates. She did great in terms of grades, but after graduating, she was very badly screwed over with student loans, and had over $50K in debt. She also had trouble getting a job, as her resume looked good and companies brought her in for interviews, but it was the interview itself she screwed up, sometimes forgetting to dress formally, or just plain not taking it seriously and decided to have a fun chat with the hiring managers and human resources employees rather than talk about the positions themselves.
The debt she owed got a little too out of control with interest and other expenses lining up to make a massacre out of her credit score, so she decided to work as a waitress for the S.S. Anne cruise liner for minimum wage to try and keep up with the monthly debt charges. However, her resume fell under the scrutiny of Team Aqua during a voyage to Slateport City, who definitely felt her skills, despite her manic and eccentric behavior, would be way better suited toward helping Aqua design new chemical agents and formulas. Their gamble paid off, as Janine was able to concoct two drugs, Jetz and Hazel, that became high money-makers which helped fund Team Aqua even further. Jetz helped Pokémon ignore pain and injuries in battle and gave them a boost of speed and manic energy while Hazel was known for putting Pokémon in a very euphoric state, similar to hallucinogenic drugs, only for Pokémon. Right now, she's working on several others that hope to be big sellers, although there are a few fellow Team Aqua members that feel she's a bit on the mad scientist side of things.
Pokémon:
Lopunny (Jubilee)
Cinccino (Cream)
Raichu (Skippy)
Lapras (Wish)
Milotic (Pearl)
Azumarill (Splash)
Other: Janine doesn't often get into combat, but when she does, her weapon of choice usually consists of submachine guns or machine pistols. She wastes a lot of ammo, however.

Name: Zach Pierce
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Team: Team Aqua
Description: Zach stands at 6’1’’ and has a lean, acrobatic body, suiting his fluid combat style. While he may not seem physically large or imposing at first, a look into his sharp ice blue eyes can easily cause someone to lose their train of thought and fall into fear. Zach has a fairly white complexion and short jet black hair. Nowadays he almost never wears civilian clothes and instead wears a converted Hoenn special ops uniform with some Aqua insignia on the left shoulder. This uniform is made of Kevlar armor plates. He has two pistols are holstered at his sides, and he has two combat blades that are strapped to his back. Alongside his combat belt is an assortment of grenades, each clipped tightly against his waist. Finally, three 6 inch throwing knives are clipped to the top of his forearm armor.
Personality: Zach is a no-nonsense man. As a squad leader, and highly trained special forces member, he has become a stone cold man, with little taste for humor. His only amusement comes from the thrill of combat, although even then he has a level head suited to analyze the battle situation in front of him. Zach also seems to have little value for his own life, considering the amount of missions he has taken that seem meant for only suicide squads and those with a death wish. No one has ever known Zach to have any real emotional connection to anything, and although this hasn’t caused him to endanger squad mates, this is more because of their logistical and practical value rather than emotional connection.
Zach has an in depth knowledge of small scale combat, infiltration missions, and other insurgency type operations. He specializes in lethal strikes and assassinations, without even making his presence known. For Zach, he is one that will accomplish his mission. Once that is done he only cares for himself and what’s convenient for him. He is hardly a man of ambition, and one that seems to be throwing himself into causes as a distraction from something else.
Background: Zach was born in Rustboro City, however by the age of 9, his parents had both died in a fire that enveloped their building. With no family anywhere close to him, he was thrown into foster care in Rustboro and by the age of 13 was adopted by a high ranking military man in Hoenn. Zach’s new father didn’t have children because his wife had passed away from cancer very early in her life and he chose not to remarry because of his busy military life.
However, he often had to travel around the region to different posts. Zach had already had a tough time transitioning to foster care and struggled, being unwanted for years and then thrown into what was hardly a family. He never had the opportunity to settle down and make friends, and thus he was stuck with a fair, and nice father, but one that never showed him love. His father was more of a stern coach and teacher than a loving parent. Zach was never happy as a teenager, but never unhappy. By the time he graduated high school he had almost no real interests as he never had the chance of doing anything consistently before moving.
His father being such high military brass his most interesting opportunity was to join Hoenn’s finest military academy where he developed physically as well as mentally. In his younger years, he only had time to succeed in school and was able to transfer his focus to this and developed a tactical mind that put him in Special Forces right as he graduated the academy at 21. Covert and black ops missions became a regular occasion for him. He saw his foster father maybe once a year, and everything was on an almost entirely professional basis.
Zach was a squad leader at 26 years of age and his father had passed away shortly after the fact. Over the next two years he became renowned for his lack of casualties as well as ability to be unnoticed. This ability was underestimated by almost all of Hoenn intelligence as Zach would occasionally keep tabs on classified information and had discovered the true nature of the Burst Hearts not long after receiving one himself. He participated in many of the operations Hoenn conducted in bullying the rest of the world.
However, Zach’s foray into secret intelligence went afoul as he was discovered upon reading on the report on Incident 731. Zach had been placed on a wanted dead or alive notice, but wielding a Burst Heart as well as some of Hoenn’s finest equipment, escaping a facility he knew by heart was not a problem. Only a week after escaping he heard of the hijack of the Angelwing and it wasn’t long before he was one of those recruited into Team Aqua. Now he operates in the same way that he did before, performing covert missions, trying to disable and dismantle the Hoenn military that he had served for years.
Pokemon: Greninja, Dragalge, Bisharp, Accelgor, Aegisslash, Talonflame
Other: Is a stealth and close combat quarters master. He has a variety of tactical grenades, dual silenced M9s, and two 16 inch combat blades, and a set of 6 6 inch throwing knives. He operates with a small squad of soldiers that he leads. These will be referenced through future posts. He wears state of the art Kevlar armor meant for mobility(Think Batman’s suit in The Dark Knight)

Death's Spook

Warning: Long *** background is long.
Name: Alastair Harper
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Team: Team Awesome
Appearance:
Everything about Alastair looks absolutely disarming. He is large, standing about two meters tall, but while he isn’t overweight, he clearly has a bit of pudge to him, making his face look more babyish. His wide eyes are a soft gray, and his shock of dark auburn hair often threatens to cover his eyes. When he smiles, he dimples, and the world seems to light up around him. His skin is a healthy olive tone, slightly darker because of exposure. He wears a loose gray hoodie that still fails to completely cover his arms, and a relaxed pair of jeans. However, the gray hoodie manages to conceal some of the best modern (and hidden) body armor money can buy.
Personality:
Everyone’s first reaction upon meeting Alastair Harper is “Oh my God, he’s so nice!” Each interaction after that only reinforces this impression. Anyone who cares to look deeper will find a very loving and caring soul, one that looks out for everyone and is filled with compassion. People and Pokemon tend to trust him implicitly, and he returns their trust with a level of care and kindness that would make even the most bitter cynic smile. His level of caring for others combined with his powerful position has led to him becoming a focal point in Johto politics, as very few want to hurt him, both out of personal desire and out of self interest.
However, very rarely does anyone notice that the man with the heart of a saint also has the mind of a brilliant commander. Alastair has a gift for tactical thinking on and off the battlefield. He can read people extremely well, to the point where it’s usually a pointless endeavor to try to lie to him. While he’s not vicious about it, he knows exactly how to position his pieces so that they best suit him in combat. But he really shines when it comes to inventing new tactics. Combining Brine with Rain Dance to make salt water fall from the sky, clearly attempting to bait someone into a bunch of Spikes only for them to avoid it by tripping a more hidden Stealth Rock instead, tuning the frequency of a Bug Buzz to precisely shatter certain materials are not even the beginning of what he can invent on the spot in the battlefield or in the broader context of manipulations. When diplomacy doesn’t work, there’s violence, and when violence fails, there’s diplomacy, and when both are unavailable there’s an ability to BS his way out of situations with both improvisations and plans within plans within plans.
However, if one manages to pierce through his kindness and his deceptions and his kind deceptions, they might be able to see a hint of a pain and sorrow so deep it could drown the world. Alastair, despite being friendly and benevolent, does not trust anyone. He uses his lies to shroud himself from even the people who should be closest to him, always wary and watching. He may smile to your face, but he always has a knife positioned near your back, even if he doesn’t intend to use unless he learns that you’re trying to hurt him first. It’s messed up, he knows it’s messed up, and his inner practicality and his innate goodness have been warring with each other to yield an impossible guilt. For though he apparently has it all, there is /something/, a secret or circumstance, that has clearly deeply affected his life, and it is clear to any who seem him in earnest battle that he has /experience/ with life or death circumstances. Though he is benevolent no matter how deep you peel back his facades, it is increasingly clear that he is nowhere near being merely the naive rich boy most people assume him to be.
Background:
Alastair would argue his story began not when he was born, but when he was seven years old. Though he will never say what happened that made him mark it as the first significant event of his life, it has just as clearly deeply affected him and caused a significant amount of distance between him and his parents, his mother in particular. Though it was never overt enough that Alastair could call her out on it, his mother began to abuse him: not physically, but emotionally. Subtle put downs, lauding his accomplishments just a little less, focusing on his flaws just a little more, pressure that Alastair could never actually qualify, give a name. Alastair grinned and beared it, never telling Oliver and especially never telling Lance how much it bugged him. Though Alastair began to grow distant from his parents, he never once deviated from Lance. For though Alastair was very friendly and he had people at his school he could hang out with, Lance was the only person he saw as being absolutely on his side, and so Alastair took every bit of care to be friends with and protect his older brother.
So, to cope with the stresses of home, Alastair threw himself into his school work, his companions at school. He grew an extraordinarily thick skin and /learned/. He pulled off excellent grades in school, and he had a charisma that made him seem likable to nearly everyone he met. He was already perceptive, and with his growing leadership talent, he began to learn the ins and outs of social interaction as well as foster a slowly but surely growing amount of academic knowledge. Combined with just who his family was (and the money that entailed), Alastair was shaping up to become a very powerful person before he had even turned ten.
And of course, that attracted the attention of “Uncle Van”, aka Giovanni.
You see, Giovanni was beginning to grow old, and while Lance was in position to take over the company, Alastair appeared to Giovanni as being far more suitable to take over Team Rocket, especially since Giovanni’s son Silver was far less impressionable and far more dangerous to attempt to use in Giovanni’s opinion. But Giovanni worried about Alastair’s “softness”, i.e. the fact that he actually gave a damn about others. So, in attempts to see what Alastair was really made out of, Giovanni began to arrange “incidents”.
Starting with Alastair turning ten years old.
Traps began to suddenly and inexplicably spring around Alastair, forcing him to use cunning and strength and cunning to get out. Fights would erupt and people would choose him as a target, forcing him to either attempt to defuse them or flee very quickly. Even people at school were encouraged to make Alastair’s life unpleasant, forcing him to use an already growing social ability to leverage them into social non threats. These incidents began to really hit their stride about six months after they started, when Alastair stumbled on Team Rocket starting up a Pokemon mill (http://www.aspca.org/fight-cruelty/puppy-mills/puppy-mill-faq) filled with exotic Pokemon from Hoenn and Unova. A ten year old Alastair hardly fancied getting into a huge fight with Team Rocket, and instead managed to discreetly free a pair of Pokemon, a Snorunt and a Larvesta, to present as evidence for the authorities to come swarming in.
Thankfully, the direct evidence right in front of police’s faces combined with the fact that they were getting this evidence from the son of some of the most powerful people in world managed to spur them to act extremely quickly. The responsible members of Team Rocket were put away with extreme prejudice, and pretty much all of the Pokemon who were captured to be used there were checked and released back into their natural habitats.
All except the Snorunt and Larvesta whom Alastair removed directly. The both of them were young and had lost their parents in the process of being captured, so not only did they have nowhere to go, they latched onto Alastair and refused to be separated from him. At first, the police were worried about the complications of this (after all, they were both rare Pokemon not native to Johto), but Alastair managed to point out that his family easily had the resources to take care of them both 5 times over without missing anything from their enormous fortune. Of course, the police needed to talk to a legal guardian, so Alastair both made sure they did not talk to his mother and called Lance ahead of time so his big brother could help convince Oliver with Alastair. After that incident, Alastair doted on the pair as much as he could. But the “incidents” only increased in number and severity, and so he was made to train them so that the three of them could survive the increasingly nasty situations.
Alastair trained his Pokemon very well, of course, but he hardly had the luxury to just sit around in between incidents, hoping he would stay alive the next time they happened. The incidents gave him an advantage of being owed lots of favors, and he knew that they happened too often and in far too quick succession to be coincidental. So he began to leverage his growing amount of power into discreetly attempting to figure out who was the cause behind these events.
The same day he found out about “Uncle Van” was the same he “spontaneously” decided to go on a Pokemon journey. He felt bad about leaving a returning Lance behind, but decided that self preservation was more important than guilt. Of course, he made sure to stay in contact with Lance, but it wasn’t the same.
His journey made him a fair amount of friends, including a trainer named Lenore. He built up a reputation as being powerful in both position and combat, using his powerful Pokemon extremely creatively to devastating effect. Both before and after the fall of Harper industries, he’s had his fingers in all sorts of pies, from the stock market, to the police, to the underworld, and he’s been worrying Giovanni with his competence. After the death of Mary and Oliver, he returned to Goldenrod with Lenore in tow (hired as a bodyguard for Lance), fighting a war that is secretly on two fronts, not one.

VeloJello
06-29-2014, 12:25 AM
Name: Lenore Valdis.
Gender: Female.
Age: 23 years.
Team: Awesome.
Description: Lenore is fit, and it shows. She stands at roughly 6’, and she has a broad build. While there is a little bit of natural chub around her lower body, hiking, Burst Heart training, and plenty of physical exercise have left her overall muscle tone far from unimpressive. She has several small scars from miscellaneous Pokemon encounters. Her skin, a mix of her mother’s deep brown and her father’s pale white, appears a rich, dark tan color; her eyes are dark brown, and her blond, ringlet hair is usually kept in a ponytail (for skin tone and hair color, imagine someone similar to this woman (”music-star-rihan6.jpeg”)). While she enjoys looking good, she typically dresses for field work, wearing plenty of pockets, well-insulated clothing, and shoes good for walking or running. Her well-stocked backpack is pretty much ever present.
Personality: Strength seems to be Lenore’s defining trait in will, mind, and body. She is constantly learning, constantly chasing knowledge; she hates to be still or contained, both in terms of location and character. Because of this, she has a tendency to come into conflict with those of a higher status than her, as her natural confident and independent nature makes her less than endearing to her social, academic, or vocational superiors. Although her pride is a stumbling block in her relations, it is not entirely unfounded - thanks to her upbringing she brings a wealth of information to the table.
Other side effects of her upbringing include perceptiveness, quick wit, and cool emotionlessness, especially in battle. While Lenore is rarely cold or emotionally distant in interpersonal relationships, she is capable of masking her emotions quite well, an ability that comes in handy when one is constantly battling for cash in the streets or playing bodyguard to a man caught up in incredibly dangerous war. To most people, she’s friendly, warm, and kind, even playful, but she takes her work seriously and has very sharp focus. Her aspirations run high, and she honestly believes that she and her Pokemon can change the world.
Background: Once upon a time, a young woman named Cecilia entered the Ecruteak Gym and dealt its leader a sound defeat. Her spirit and grace attracted Morty’s attention, and the two of them began to date. A few years later, rings on their hands, they began to watch their little daughter Lenore grow up. They gave her her first Pokemon companion at the tender age of seven - a young Absol named Micah, whom Cecilia had found skulking about near the base of the Burned Tower. That was the time Lenore began to train Pokemon, but it was also the time her eyes were opened to yet another world of wonder. Her father’s brother, a cloaked, showy man by the name of Eusine, paid Morty regular visits, and Lenore would stay up for hours while the adults shared stories of huntings for and sightings of great Legendary Pokemon. She quickly became enamored; rainbow-winged birds, fire-spitting lions, and leopards with the wind in their paws filled her dreams. Morty and Cecilia warned her not to pay too much attention to uncle Eusine; they believed in the Legends, but they also believed that the Legends only appeared in times of need to the worthy and Eusine was “definitely needy, but just as definitely unworthy”.
However, Lenore saw an opportunity in Eusine that would not have been present otherwise - all traveling scholars needed protection in wild places, after all, and through her parents’ coaching Lenore had grown more than skilled enough for the job. Furthermore, she believed that such a journey would be much richer in opportunity and learning than the travels of a normal Trainer. She convinced Eusine to take her on as a partner and protector at the age of eighteen, and left home.
Eusine was a wonderful storyteller and a well-versed scholar. Thanks to the old money running through his family, who had a history in the well-paying industry of Gym leading, he had no problem paying Lenore a decent salary. However, he was also egotistical, arrogant, childish, and - though not, thankfully, to his niece - an obnoxious womanizer. Lenore worked for him for about a year and a half before she decided that she absolutely could not stand him anymore, then quit and tried to strike out on her own as a solo researcher.
A combination of her youth, her independent nature, and a general lack of need for her particular skillset left finding work difficult. More and more often she discovered herself battling her Pokemon, using winnings from the bets as a source of income. It was a tough lifestyle to manage, but her team grew ever stronger and larger, and soon she found herself winning more and more frequently; her earnings ranged from cash to supplies to even one of those strange, rare stones called the Burst Hearts. Slowly she began to build up a nest egg for herself, one that she planned to use to find her own expeditions in hunting for the Legends.
That plan was shattered when the war broke out. By all accounts Lenore could find, the Legends fled once Johto came under attack; what’s more, the ordered League battles began to fall apart as fewer and fewer had the money to gamble with. Lenore was forced to hunt for solid work and was on the brink of signing onto the Johto military when an old friend contacted her. Alistair Harper, whom she had met shortly before she left with Eusine after he tore through her father's gym, offered her a position as the bodyguard of his brother, the heir to Harper Industries. Lenore had dozens of questions about the situation in general, but she held her tongue, resolving to keep her mouth shut and learn by watching, if at all. After all, her main objective - the money - was not in jeopardy. Now she resides wherever Lance resides - Goldenrod City, currently - while she builds up funds and information enough to track down the Legends and bring them back to Johto in the hopes of restoring the nation's pride and peace.
Pokemon: Micah/Absol/M/Pressure/Docile/Alert to sounds.
Hananiah/Gengar/M/Levitate/Naughty/Strong-willed.
Deborah/Xatu/F/Synchronize/Lonely/Often lost in thought.
Miriam/Feraligatr/F/Torrent/Adamant/Loves to eat.
Amos/Nidoking/M/Poison Point/Quiet/Capable of taking hits.
Asiyah/Arcanine/F/Intimidate/Rash/Likes to run.
Other: Niece to Eusine; the two do not get along particularly well, but they still collaborate and share findings while keeping their face-to-face interaction minimal. Is acquainted with most of the Silver League members and some of their immediate family but is not close with any of them. Has a good relationship with Morty and Cecilia Valdis, and they try to keep in touch where it is practical.
Lenore prepares for pretty much any situation. Her bag includes a camera and backup batteries, notepads and pencils, a Swiss army knife, matches, and a first-aid kit for human or Pokemon use. She also carries a nine millimeter pistol and a spare magazine; at one point she kept it concealed but has recently begun wearing it openly.
Lenore's backstory as pertains to the canonical characters has been greenlit by Xaiku, if that matters.

DOCTOR DOCTOR GIVE ME THE NEWS~
Name: Claressa Nissa
Gender: Female
Age: 45
Team: Awesome
Description: Well, to be frank, Claressa isn’t much of a “fashionista”. Her normal garb is essentially the standard white, sleeved overcoat on top of the v-necked pink scrub shirt and drawstring pants, made of the finest Whimsicott cotton (Mareep used to be the norm, but the unfortunate side effect of it doubling in size when there was static electricity present quickly annoyed doctors). The overcoat does button in the front and on the wrists, and it also has a small pocket protector for at least three pens that she constantly carries with her. Her shoes are worn white sneakers, constantly cleaned but showing signs of age. She carries her brown hair up in a bun, and sometimes beneath the typical bouffant surgical cap.
Her normal appearance has her hair let down or in a ponytail, falling to a length on par with her shoulder blades. She stands at a solid 5’3”, and weighs in at around 123 lbs. She swaps her sneakers out for brown leather sandals, which compliment her peach skin tone nicely. She has a green skirt that sits well below the knees and has an illustration of red roses and white daisies upon it, while her shirt is a simple white necked red blouse that has flowing sleeves that go to the elbow. Glasses sit and shield her amber eyes, and while she may be older she shows only the slightest hint of wrinkling and Murkow’s feet.
Personality: Claressa is, in one word, blunt. She doesn’t really believe in sugarcoating a situation since it inevitably leads to more harm being done in the future, and any attempts she makes come off as undeniably awkward and forced. That being said she does not have a cold heart, as she genuinely follows what she believes is right. Don’t like it? Too bad, your feelings are taken into consideration but if the benefit outweighs it, she’ll continue what she was doing. She tries to avoid loss of life but understands that sometimes it is necessary for the survival of others.
Hand in hand with that, however, is a severe stubbornness. Claressa is known for having a head that is harder than an Aggron, and a temper that can be as bad as a Charizard. She prefers to do things her way since she often sees it as being the most effective, and convincing her otherwise can waste valuable time and energy. There are times she will cave and give in if the evidence vastly outweighs hers – or if she is overruled by, say, the chief medical doctor – but most of the time she doesn’t. To be fair, her intelligence often means her decisions are around the best options available, so going her route generally doesn’t result in much harm to begin with.
If pushed to extremes, she can become violent, although she much prefers to throw things from a distance than physically punch. She’s not exactly Wonder Woman, and relies more on her intelligence than strength to get out of a sticky situation. If she doesn’t know something, she will do whatever she can to learn about it if she deems it important to know – baking the perfect cake would not be on the priority list compared to learning a new technique to deal with blood clots. Her mind can be encyclopedic with whatever interests her, but she can be forgetful with many other subjects, leading to some exasperation from colleagues and family. Yes, she has forgotten to get the turkey for Thanksgiving before, and no, she doesn’t like to talk about it.
Background: Claressa Nissa was born to the Azalea Town ranchers Don and Lillian, who raised a large majority of Pokemon for food and important products. This included but was not limited to honey, milk, meat, berries, apricorns, as well as famous racing Rapidash. Perhaps more famous than their Rapidash was the aprijuice they often blended, serving as both a potent drink for people and Pokemon alike, as the ranchers had found a way through fertilizer to create large trees that grew the nuts (thus allowing harvesting of many a day rather than only one per tree). They were modestly successful, refusing to industrialize so as to preserve the land around them.
As much as Claressa loved working on the ranch, she was more interested in how their juices affected people. Those who were physically weak were given that which increased strength, the mind was sharpened by skill…So many effects, so little time. She adored the health classes she had to take in school, and quickly settled on a medical career. Graduating from high school with a 3.9 GPA, she attended Goldenrod University, quickly pursuing a medical student path. Undeniably she began to work at the hospital in that very same city, and when she was twenty-two, was helping the lead doctor deliver a child from a Mr. and Mrs. Harper. Two years later she helped deliver their second child, which proved to be slightly more eventful.
Pursing her Ph.D. when she was 30, she studied the effects of aprijuice and helped diagnose the effects it had on growth in infants as well as the cost of overuse. She developed and created a book, “To Juice or Not To Juice?”, which became popular among health professionals as well as dieticians, coaches, trainers, and breeders alike, leading to a decent amount of money that promptly went into more research, such as combining the effects of apricorns and berries into one. Seriously, she was surprised no one else had thought of that already.
Harper Industries helped support her research – as well as the hospital itself – as well, in part due to her watchful eye on their children for checkups and a general desire to help the human race. When the two founders were brutally murdered, Claressa attended the funeral, and although she did not speak much she did express grief over such needless loss of life that only wanted to support the world. In the next instant, the company was failing and the hospital lost a very good amount of supportive money – which had helped it be one of the more technologically advanced medical facilities out there – and then…war.
Some idiot in Hoenn thought it’d be a good idea to flex power and start causing trouble all over something called a Burst Heart. Claressa wasn’t convinced about these items in the first place – it did not seem much research went into the long term effects it had on people, and as far as she was concerned anyone who used them often was a walking health hazard. Money was a funny thing however, and it made people focus on short term gain rather than long term problems. Before she knew it, Kanto and Johto – having long since been allies – were suddenly fighting each other over brutal accusations that could have been solved if Kanto had simply sent over a squad to help investigate the explosion rather than jump to conclusions. It did not help that someone was hiding in Johto apparently with a more powerful Burst Heart, and now every single region in the friggin’ world was knocking on their doorstep.
War is pointless, and now Claressa spends her time in the hospital helping the wounded people and Pokemon alike. Goldenrod was an immediate target due to being such an economical powerhouse for Johto, but the hospital was not. Perhaps some humanity had remained so that a place for the wounded was not to be touched, but their supplies on the other hand were another story. Her parent's ranch had so far escaped unharmed and was still supplying them the best they could, but the hospital is getting full and sickness is spreading. She researches the Burst Heart's effects and ways to nullify it while doing her job and praying to Arceus that some common sense will get drilled into everyone's head.
Pokemon:
Sympathy (Audino, F)
Joy (Blissey, F)
Herby (Bayleef, M)
Circus (Pyroar, M)
Rayne (Alomomola, F)
Other: NPC’s include her parents and family, as well as a fighter pilot named Tony Shoater who, basically, has a giant crush on her and has for years. He’s a bit injured and is at the hospital for the time being, and she has given her Burst Heart – obtained from a dying smuggler that had arrived in it – to him, so she can study effects as he uses it. His Pokemon will be revealed eventually but he has a Dragonite as a main companion.
As for weapons…she doesn’t use any. She’s a doctor, so I suppose if she did, she’d know where to hit. The worst you have to worry about is her throwing beakers at you or maybe coming at you with a syringe or scalpel if really threatened, but yeah.
The hospital treats ANYONE. Doctors can’t turn someone away who asks for help, and frankly by showing some hospitality to people from other regions it might turn the general feeling of “BURN THEM ALL” to “SAVE THEM ALL”.
And who needs a car when you have a Pyroar you can ride? :3

Name: Karai "Kar" Horoshi
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Team: Aqua
Description: First of all reference pics. I don't know who the authors are because I found these on Goggle Image Search, but I will say that I don't own these pictures. They're not 100% to my character and she's only based on Hikage, but I will explain the differences where applicable. Warning: May be NSFW.
http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121221034034/kagura/images/5/5f/P_hikage.jpghttp://anime.mx/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Gutto-kuru-Figure-Collection-La-Beaute-27-Senran-Kagura-Hikage.jpg
She's 5'6". She has brown eyes, black hair, and average Caucasian skin.
She has a small nose, high cheekbones, and luscious lips that you just want to kiss and never stop kissing. Her black hair is long down to her hips, a little puffy due to hairstyle, and has wispy bangs that hang low enough to barely cover her eyebrows. The bangs and hair wave when she walks. She also has a tattoo which looks like a necklace. See reference picture.
From the shoulders to her fingers, her skin is incredibly shiny. The reason for this is it's 100% scars from cutting herself. When a scar heals it makes the skin shiny. She sometimes has new cuts, but lately she stopped cutting herself so it's not often she has new cuts anymore.
She is extremely top heavy, and her official size is 40I. She has the same tattoos as Hikage, but hers are on the right instead of the left. She exercises as often as possible so she has a thin waist and wide hips. She has the average amount of muscle on her arms and legs. She's basically very lean and curvy in all the right places.
Now the clothes.
See pic for shirt. It's sky blue where Hikage has hers yellow. It has a snake pattern in black and white.
She has gloves which don't really cover anything, from the middle of her arms down to her hands. They look like belts. Disregard the knives as weapons. Although she uses many weapons, her primary weapon is a pair of gauntlets with three metal claws that retract into the gauntlet. See picture for the what the "gloves" look like.
For pants she wears ripped jeans with a snake pattern, and belts below the knee like on her arms. The jeans are very tight-fitting. They aren't fully closed and only stay on her just because they're tight. She wears a belt but that's not closed either. The jeans cover what needs to be covered.
She also has basic black shoes that make no sounds when she walks, so she can sneak up on anybody.
The colors change from day to day, but the outfit really doesn't.
Personality: Karai pretends to have emotions, but doesn't really have any anymore. Her personality boils down to "I don't care" unless money is involved. She pretends to be nice to others if that's part of the job she's on, but really she doesn't care for anything or anybody. In reality she only cares about what it would do for her bottom line. If you want her to feel for you, show her money. Otherwise the REAL Karai is unemotional and uncaring. If she goes on an infiltration mission or just needs to break in and charm people, she can act like a normal person and play a role. She's an extremely talented actor, and those who know her only think they know her for as long as she needs to act that way to do what she needs to do. She can pretend to have any personality or pretend to feel any emotion she needs to in order to complete her mission. Those who really know her know that she uses her acting talent all the time to fit in and not creep people out, and that many things she says to others are lies. She can fabricate intricate back stories as alibis on the drop of a pin. Of course people who know this are either no longer alive, are former/current employers, or are Hebijo graduates.
When around team members she usually isn't acting, lying, or pretending, and depending on if they were creeped out by her lack of emotions and feeling might be acting normal for them to not be creeped out. It's still just an act though.
Under her facade of not caring about anything is a very damaged person who was taught to be an unfeeling machine since the early teens. She would like nothing else than to learn to feel something again and care about people, but knows it would compromise her job integrity. For now, she doesn't attach to anybody except fellow Hebijo graduates. Everybody else is probably just going to end up a corpse anyway, so why get attached to the walking dead? Maybe this will change when Aqua takes over the world.
Background: Karai came from pretty humble and normal beginnings. She was born to pretty average parents from Ekruteak in Johto. She went to a regular school until grade 5 when she was 11 years old. No major events, just a happy childhood. Her life changed when she was to attend high school. Her parents revealed the family legacy: They were members of a secret line of shinobi and everybody in the family attended Hebijo Clandestine Academy. She was enrolled for next year.
On the surface, Hebijo was a normal school. A combination of American High School and College, students would have classes and learn like other schools. But the day was much longer and school didn't let out until 8pm. When she graduated the High School portion of the Academy, she went on to major in Mechanical Engineering. She proved quite smart and capable of designing machines and weapons.
Why did school end so late? After normal classes let out at 3pm, students were trained to be shinobi for hire. This part of the school wasn't open to the public, and the only ones who knew about it were the students and faculty. From 6th grade onward, Karai was conditioned to feel nothing for anybody. To complete the job no matter the odds, consequences, laws, or rules in place. A specialist doesn't care and doesn't get attached. Only the pay motivates them to complete their mission and keep trying.
At age 11 when she was in 5th grade her teenage development picked up extremely. Like many teenagers, she hated these almost continuous changes. Finally at age 14 in 8th grade she started feeling extreme back pain. To the point that pills didn't help kill the pain and her spine actually started to get damaged. Her doctor told her that either she would get surgery to fix it or she would soon not be able to use her legs because her spine would literally snap in two from the weight being put on it. By this time she had resolved to love her body and wouldn't change it. She needed alternatives, and Madame Hebijo was glad to oblige. The descendant of the founder and principal of the Academy had some very good connections. While Hebijo was legally funded by the Johto government, the after-hours programs needed outside funding because they weren't really all that legal. In return for their funding the partners received graduates to work for them, and it was a very good deal. Most of the funding partners were military, but a couple were less than legal. She contacted one of the big funding partners for the school named Mr. Makoto and explained the problem: An extremely talented student needed to have her spine repaired. Makoto agreed to fund the project in return for Karai and 4 others joining up with his organization upon graduation. Karai had no choice but to agree if she was to continue living the life she had gotten used to.
After several days in bed a package arrived at the school with a new form of metal. Well, sort of new. It was the rare metal Dracaria mixed with other chemicals and elements. It was grafted to her spine under the skin. The graft was found to be non conducting and non magnetic. It was also completely invisible to x-rays and would look like it's not there. Metal detectors didn't notice it either. But she had to take pain killers for life and while it was made to function with her spine and she could bend down it would take a couple of years for the bones to completely mix with the graft. Until then she had to be careful to not hurt herself and was carefully monitored. Working for Mr. Makoto would pay for her painkillers and expenses.
Over the years Karai was trained in the use of all forms of martial arts, agility, stealth, infiltration, melee weapons, and army weapons. This means she knows many ways to take down an opponent bigger than herself and doesn't need to expend energy fighting them. She can wield anything from a wooden stick to a RPG launcher, assuming she could carry said weapon around. She was also trained to drive most vehicles, from bicycles to tanks and planes.
A mastery of disguise, vocal manipulation, and alibi fabrication allowed her to be anyone in any location. Though not an expert at hacking and relying on programs to do it for her, she could easily research a target and ask people for information. She could be right next to her target but they wouldn't know it until their head was separated from their body and it was way too late.
The perfect multifaceted ninja assassin that doesn't ask questions. Or so she was taught. In private, Karai had been losing her sanity. To keep from completely losing it, she took to cutting herself. She needed to feel something, to make sure she was still alive. The training taught her much, but it also came at a great cost. Did she lose her soul? Her humanity? Was she like the machines she designed in the college years? She had to cut herself to make sure she was still alive and could feel things, even if it was just pain.
Eventually it was time for graduation and fulfilling her obligation to Makoto, now more or less heading Aqua. When the world war started Hebijo Clandestine Academy was annihilated in a staged arson on an off day and rebuilt in Lillycover City in Hoenn, closer to Makoto's location. No trace of the school was left in the original location and no leads were ever found in the investigation. All students and faculty were evacuated and are now Hoenn citizens, with the regular school part continuing the run off government funds as a legal school and the shinobi part being funded by funding partners. As before, the school hides in plain sight, looking like a completely normal school. Though Karai has had a couple of employers and gone on missions as training during school, Aqua is her first longterm employment. She may not have joined when the organization was founded, but she has been employed for 2 years now.
Pokemon: Blaziken (F), Raichu (M), Lapras (F), Hydreigon (M), Gardevoir (F), Venusaur (M)
Other: Travels with a squad of four other Hebijo graduates. Names and genders TBD. Default weapons are her claws, dual handguns, and a pair of katana. She also carries a laptop and smartphone for hacking and data retrieval if the mission calls for it. She has her Pokeballs in her pockets or a backpack if she's already carrying too much.
NOTE: This character might be better against NPCs, and I have no idea how she would operate in a PVP scenario.

Bron, only thing is that, like I said, Whitehall is very hands off. He wouldn't be the one to pay for your operation. Raidon, on the other hand, would probably game.
Accepted, pending all mentions of Whitehall are Raidon.

So he doesn't want mercenaries? What the heck kind of leader is he?
Would Raidon have the money to research this, though? You didn't make it clear. I thought hands off meant he doesn't care what he funds as long as it gets him results.
So how would you recommend I rewrite that? Just change the name? Easy, but making sure.
PSST, might wanna update the first post with people who were accepted. Like those from Awesome for example.
Another thing. I made a VERY CRUDE reorganized map for this RP: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v489/bronislav84/Pokemon/pokeearthpxrwar1.jpg I know it's incredibly hack and slash, but the locations are correct to the locations we need. Sinnoh is attached to Fiore, but I didn't want to cover anything and obviously the routes don't connect, so that's up to people to work out for themselves. Whoever feels this is too terrible, can YOU do a better job? If you can't shut up lol. Please put this in the first post somewhere rusty.

Name: Jans "Agricola" Hanson
Gender: Male
Age: 45
Team: Team Awesome
Description: Jans stands at 5 foot, 4 inches tall, weighting roughly at around 150lbs. His hair is grey-ish with strands of dark brown tied in a ponytail, clearly with a receding hairline. To hide that fact, he generally wears a baseball cap. His facial features is a bit on the plump side, with rounded features. He is generally more unkempt with facial hair. His blue eyes seem to betray his looks. His physical condition is more on the lacking side, with a clear beer belly, but not quite large enough to be a complete hindrance to his movements.
Personality: Jans is a vengeful human being, and is generally very lazy on his movements. He'd prefer not to do anything rather than do something, but his profit motive is very high. Given his status as a spy, he likened himself as a superhero, but in reality he is living a dream. He has a short temper, and easily gives in to jealousy. Under that, he is not sociable the slightest, preferring to live in his room. Of course, if there was profit to be had, he may...reconsider things.
Background: At a young age, Jans was a social outcast, destined to do no right in his life. His father was an ordinary plumber, but a drunk. To supplement for the incredible amount of money his father used for drinking, his mother did odd jobs around their hometown in Olivine City. He also had a brother, who was incredibly brilliant, a fit boy from the start, athletic, and smart. His brother, 5 years his elder, was considered the boy dream as he was the odd duck who was "Victor's little brother". Even most of his possessions were simply hand-me-downs from his brother.
It was one day that he, at a young age fell in love with a girl in Victor's class. Her name was Jessica. However, fate had played him a fool. Long story short, she tricked him into having a date with her, but instead ended up humiliating him in front of her classmates. With his reputation tarnished amongst the kids, he set out to ruin Jessica. It was during this time his brother gave him his old laptop. He took two months straight to learn how to hack, and hacked into Jessica's computer, ruining her reputation. That was his first job.
Over time, he dropped out of high school, and continued to shut himself in, hacking. His father, mother, and brother thought he was a simple shut-in, and denounced him despite continuing to support him. Jans took on more and more difficult tasks, and hacked into Harper Industries for company secrets. Fate had it that he would be caught by Oliver Harper himself.
Harper, however, saw what was in him, and instead hired him to be his computer man. Using the wealth and the power of computers, he took the job of keeping Harper Industries safe in the cyber world, and he would hack against other companies to steal their secrets. Of course, he made deals with the likes of Alastair Harper (whom he thought was a jerk, rather than "nice"), as long as the paycheck kept coming in from his end. The job was mutually beneficial for all parties involved.
Jans was able to pay for his parents to move to the Orange Islands, lavishing them with wealth and currency that his brother Victor could not bring. Victor? Jans hadn't had contact with him for years.
Pokemon: *Note, he bought most of these pokemon, which is why they aren't...very good.
Haunter, Jigglypuff, Smeargle, Magneton, Vullaby, Reuniclus
Other: Victor may show up. Also, part of his job does require him to do stealth action as well.

Cooll, thanks.
Please update the first post with accepted players, and also I posted a map in post 22 that you should include in the first post somewhere too. It's not epic, but it's better than nothing. I think it would be a good reference for locations as we're using them in this RP. When you get a chance, I mean.

Name: Helena Gray
Gender: Female
Age: 22, but looks much tinier and younger. Her face fits her age, however.
Team: Team Awesome
Description: Helena looks entirely diminutive when compared with people of average height, even other women. Not only is she short at only 4'11", her body is slender and fine-boned. She has a thin face and slim, long limbs in relevance to her body. Her large, oceanic eyes stand out on her face. Her fine, chocolate brown hair is always pulled back into a braid or ponytail, but cascades down to her shoulderblades when let down. She is olive-skinned and looks strikingly beautiful, though she pays no attention to the aesthetics of her features.
She generally wears close-fit, comfortable clothing that suits a wide range of movement. She is almost always sporting brown leather fingerless gloves and prefers long-sleeved items. She often wears breathable sneakers, never clunky, and is light on her feet. She dons no jewelry or trinkets, save for a single earring on her right ear. This earring holds the Burst stone she needs to trigger fusions with her Pokemon team.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Sexuality: Asexual (possibly demisexual)
Personality: Helena has a cold, clinical personality. She has a direct and blunt approach to everything--black and white. She comes up with the most logical or literal explanation for events, applying Occam's Razor whenever possible. She is almost never emotional or perturbed--in fact, there are few who have ever seen her as anything but her blank, stoic self. She has amazing concrete intelligence. She can memorize, analyze, or recall anything she hears or sees. She uses these facts and logic quickly to fashion tactics in the moment. However, she is not particularly creative or imaginative.
Helena is reclusive and generally stays alone. She has no real sense of empathy or compassion for others and tends towards selfishness. She has erased her need for intimacy and relationships on every level, making her a terrifying sort of person to be around at times. At most, she has comrades, though she rubs too many the wrong way to become friendly with them. She feels that she has no need for true friendship and is satisfied to keeping relationships professional or polite. Deep down, she may even fear relationships and attachments as weaknesses. She thinks being detached makes her less emotionally compromised. She has ambitions to hone her skills and become more powerful in her own right, fed from the fear of being weak.
She has an incredible sense of stubbornness and control. This adds to her unflappable demeanor. There has not been a single person who could truly strike fear into her. She believes in 'an eye for an eye', more in fairness and justice than true revenge. She meets every challenge to the fullest and defeats opponents swiftly to discourage them. So far, she has won nearly every fight she's been in, especially as she gains more experience. She will never back down, believing it makes her stronger and more respected or feared.
She rarely seeks fun or enjoyment, other than the knowledge of successfully completing a task set out for herself or someone else. Helena likes the security of her own strength.
Background: Helena was born and given away immediately to a foster home in the slums of Goldenrod City, where she, as the smallest and weakest child, was constantly bullied. She quickly decided that to be safe, she needed to seclude herself and become stronger or learn to be stealthy. Her food was often bullied away from her so she took to stealing, becoming good enough to never have been detected.
At the tender age of seven she took to the streets, hating being confined by the home's walls and mean-eyed brats. She lived in dark alleyways and abandoned buildings, slipping away from police every time they thought they'd caught up to her after a theft. She relished in her own power and skill as a thief and a scrapper, though one day the tiny girl was cornered by a rough-and-tumble gang who tired of her stealing their things. She took a few of the huge gang members down until one got in a lucky blow with his steel baseball bat, and Helena crumpled in a heap to the ground. They would have killed her if not for a man coming to her rescue.
Later, she woke in the man's house, and he introduced himself as Kenji. Feeling hateful towards herself, she told him she'd repay him however she could--however, he waved it off before offering to teach her to fight properly. He'd seen how she fought in the street and saw potential in her. He offered her the one-time opportunity to train under him and learn to really fight, and she took it with hardly any hesitation.
A day came when Johto fell into chaos. War and economical hardship ravaged the country, hitting Goldenrod particularly hard. She learned of Lance's parents and his part in Harper Industries, and though she did not particularly feel that she should be sorry for him, she respected him for wanting to get Johto back on its feet.
In the midst of this, Helena managed to get her hands on a Burst orb. She obtained this by stealing from those who had stolen from Kanto--stealing from thieves. Knowing full well what this item could do, she quickly obtained a Pokemon team. This was harder than she anticipated, however, and took quite a few years. Every single one of her Pokemon team are previously abandoned or unwanted Pokemon that were deemed too weak or unspecial. Not that she did this on purpose, they were simply the easiest to obtain, since nobody cared that they went missing.
Skills: She was classically trained at a late age in several schools of fighting. However, her self-invented stealthy style slips in quite often in her own brand of fighting. Her trainer tries to break her out of this habit, though he has not succeeded quite yet.
Helena is fast and thinks fast. She's not intelligent in the book-sense, but she is very good at evolving tactics quickly in her head to get out of bad situations.
She is very good at pickpocketing, general stealing, hotwiring, and anything else you can think of having to do with thievery.
Weaknesses: She does not work very well with others. She's anti-social and aloof, and often comes off as rude or blunt. She has no real desire to be liked. This probably means that she is difficult to work with in her team, though she does not go out of her way to be a detriment to them. Her overall goal is to become stronger by obtaining an Ancient Burst stone and honing her skills in combat and Pokemon battle.
She's not a powerhouse. She uses tactics, stealth, and speed as her ally. Helena is tiny and easily hurt if someone more skilled gets in a good hit.

Name: Vince “Taegon Erenor” McAden
Gender: Male
Age: 42
Team: Team Aqua
Description: Taegon is 6’5’’ and a tank of a man. He has a large, bulky, muscular body, looking only just a bit smaller than your average NFL lineman. His dirty blonde hair has become long and has bits of seaweed throughout it and his beard. He wears scavenged armor and robes of black and blue. He often carries with him a large machine gun as his weapon of choice. Taegon is incredibly intimidating between his bizarre appearance and his large towering body.
Personality: While Vince was a caring, loving and kind man, much of that has disappeared with his rebirth as Taegon. He has become fanatical; valuing only the opinion of who he believes is his god, Kyogre. Taegon has an aversion to anything related to fire but sees water as healing. Fanatical, obsessed with water, Kyogre, more involved in the “spiritual” side of Aqua. His loud booming voice and excellent speech skills have led to him being incredibly charismatic which has led to many joining his following. Taegon has not lost his confidence from his previous life, but can also be a bit foolish due to this confidence, especially when he puts so much faith in Kyogre. His lack of any experience in combat or war also makes him a poor battle commander, but that does not deter him from throwing his fellow crazed followers into danger or harm’s way.
Background: Vince McAden was a fairly regular man who lived right off the cost of Lilycove City in a wonderful beach house. He was an average businessman, with a loving wife and two kids. He had endured no particular hardship that would be distinguishable in his early years. There was simply nothing exciting or different about Vince. However, when war broke out, a naval battle between Hoenn and Orre ended up causing a massive tidal wave from the warships and Pokemon. It had engulfed just about all of Dewford Town, destroying homes, shops and all manner of buildings and structures. There was no time for Vince or his family to react as their house was demolished, and Vince’s family nowhere to be found. Vince was unconscious amidst the wreckage of his home. He had a vision, in which he was standing on a beach and the water was engulfing him.
He could clearly see at the head of the wave was the great legendary Kyogre. A voice emitted saying, “Vince McAden, you will be reborn from these waters I bring, as Taegon Erenor. You will lead these people to bring the people back to my waters of rebirth.” Vince had awoken from his unconsciousness coughing out water and looking around to realize his home was destroyed and his family not having the same luck as him. However, he did not awake as Vince but Taegon as his dream had told him. From there, Taegon gathered all other survivors from the wreckage of Dewford and declaring that they were all reborn because of Kyogre’s graciousness. With these people losing everything, and the Hoenn government only trying to hide the disaster in Lilycove, they had no choice but to follow the charismatic man.
However, there was little Taegon’s force of insurgents could do when most of Dewford was demolished. One day, he was contacted by a man who said he represented Raidon Makoto. If he and his forces were to join his organization, Team Aqua, then he would have his vengeance and his mission accomplished, provided he followed orders. With no other option, and fueled by a fanatical desire, Taegon accepted and him and what he dubbed fellow Followers of Kyogre, were secretly transported off of Dewford and in the forests between Fortree City and Mauville City, with one goal and mission: recruit more and disrupt Hoenn. Taegon, now with the manpower and resources from Aqua, he was set up for success and his desire would only see it through.
Pokemon: Swampert, Hariyama, Kingdra, Gyrados, Metagross, Golduck,
Other: Being such a large burly man he carries a machine gun.

I've gotten many concerns from members and staff with your character for the somewhat explicit content. As forum rules say, content needs to be at least PG, and also, it's often a bad move to mention something possibly being NSFW and posting it without at least spoiler tags. If it's NSFW, it's not to be posted here. Anything that people are worried about being past PG-13 are normally run through me for avoiding this kind of situation. Now the images aren't that explicit but the first one with the mug shot is a bit much. The history and the specifics of puberty were also a bit much.
Comments must abide to PG standards, as our content is viewable by all age groups, races, and religious groups. Hate speech toward any persons, races, age groups, religious groups, or works will not be tolerated and will be removed.
Full post here. (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?152-Pokemon-Crossroads-Community-Rules&styleid=12)
So in short, mature content that may not be suitable for all audiences and the lack of keeping it PGish is in violation of the forum rules. This needs to be changed. The mature content needs to be removed and the written works need to be edited to be made less obvious as to what they are to keep within forum rulings, if you want to keep it, or removed completely from the post itself.

Guns and blood and killing people is definitely not PG. This whole RP is above the PG marker. War is messy. It will happen.
Now how would you have me change it without completely destroying the character concept? She is in no way completely naked. It's close, sure, but nowhere are explicit parts actually showing. The character's choice of basic outfit and bust size is meant to be comic relief. You're taking it too seriously I think. I don't want to break the rules of course, so help me out without the character concept being destroyed please.
For the images is it just the first image that's much? That can poof if you're sure it has to go. The puberty description in the history is a major part of the character, though. Please explain how you want it edited so the character concept can be preserved.
-----------------------------------------------
Without getting some help I can only guess, and I've removed mention of specific body parts and clarified that she is covered where it counts. Also put the entire post in spoilers, though yea, it's not that explicit. What else would need to be done to make it acceptable without ruining the character concept? Sure I shouldn't keep the first image in there, or is spoilering it fine? Is it maybe acceptable now?
I swear in no way am I purposefully trying to break rules. Please, work with me here.

As I said I don't want to break rules, and didn't do this on purpose. Please, work with me here.
War and violence vs mildly sexual content are two different things. Violence and warring can be mentioned without blatant detailed representation of how a bullet passes through each part of a human skull. I can say someone was shot, and that can be the end of it. It doesn't form a detailed image in my head. War can be described without mentioning the thousands of wounds in a medical camp, or the other gruesome darkness's of it either. It's the what and how it's told, and you've got large chest boulders described in a lot of detail with the former already at the borderline of a big no-no.
You're describing explicit parts by including if she's wearing undergarments or not, as an example. That is not a necessary detail to include. I don't think I'm taking it too seriously, I'm usually very lenient and open on characters, but when people bring up concerns that include members and staff, it can't go ignored, and potential rule breaking needs to be taken seriously. It's my job as a mod to make sure I get things looked into and concerns handled the best I can.
The bust size meant to be comic relief, I fail so see a woman's chest size being comic relief without implying mature themes. However if you want to use it that way, don't emphasize on it so much and make it so out there that it makes other people uncomfortable. The puberty thing again, does not necessarily need to be put into that kind of detail. You can always mention it off hand in the story itself, or put it into other words. "She had back problems as a teenager due to bodily development" is a lot more of a safer way to describe things.
Remember that there are younger people who can happen to read the WAR thread and we could not even know it. You need to word things with a younger audience in mind.
First image: yes, that image has been deemed not appropriate by the staff, it's got to go. Also, again, if it's NSFW or considered as such, don't even think about posting it.
You want to have an emotionless acting female with large busts? That's fine [even if I do not see how it's a comic relief type thing], but in another set of words, you need to make it more kid friendly. Plain and simple. That's my suggestion. Again, other members of the RP itself as well as staff have brought up this concern. That's why I brought it up. Character concept and the required details for a sign up are two different things.

Please Sabi, never quote me without waiting at least a half hour if you insist on quoting. I edit my posts for at least a half hour after posting them. Your copy of my post is now outdated.
I completely get what you're saying, though it's a bit wordy for me. What exactly do you need me to change while still being able to preserve the character concept? You've mentioned the first image, and I'm removing it as soon as this post goes down. Also changing one of the other images because I found a more consolidated image of the figure and one of the previous figure images stopped working.
The back problems are a major character plot point, tough. It's the reason she's not in a wheelchair and explains her employment. I specifically made it true to life (A size like that would most likely cause a situation like this) and led this part of the story into her joining Aqua because of it. I can't de-emphasize that without the character becoming less than what it should be. I can try, though. I'm going to lower the amount of times I refer to parts of the body. Please tell me if it's good enough.
What else? Anything else? Please be specific.
BTW the comic relief bit is based on anime where girls with intentionally large and disproportionate (As in pretty much impossible IRL) chests get into trouble with men and are either clumsy or the female in question is considered desirable by every man except the one she actually likes. Cue romantic comedy. It's meant to lead her into what I hope will be funny encounters with either other players or NPCs I create, and make the reader smile just based on how she looks. She can change her clothes and appearance using older non CGI "movie magic" style techniques, but she can't change her body type. While the character herself is meant to be menacing and I'm expecting to rack up a body count with her, the way she looks is supposed to set readers at ease. Assuming people even read it, of course. I know some people don't read posts where their character isn't mentioned as affected.
Alright, I'm doing this since Sabi can't post at the moment.
Basically, as said already, you need to keep the character kid-friendly. I'm just going to go with appearances and then to your backstory, because there is nothing honestly wrong with your personality.
For your appearance, you're just going way too far into this for it to be, as said many times before, kid-friendly. First of all, let's disregard any recognition of undergarments and remove those little things about the underwear and bra. That is something that most people would not care for. Also, we've got to change the fact about this: "Her chest moves or jiggles at pretty much any movement and provides lots of comic relief." It isn't comic relief to a lot of people, especially younger audiences and, from what I can tell, mostly everyone. You may find it comically relieving, and that's fine, but we don't, and we don't it here if it's bad for a younger audience.
For your backstory, it's fine till you get to the parts where you start describing puberty. You don't need to go in-depth with that. You can simply say what Sabi said, as strange body development. You can say that it gave her back problems, that is fine. Going on the fact about everything that happens in the manner you did, is not. All we want you to do that, is word the section in a more kid-friendly matter. Otherwise, everything is fine.
tl;dr turn down the sexuality, fix some things in appearance and backstory.

Alrighty I think I've fixed up those parts of the description as requested. I've explained in my previous post how the size is comic relief, and it's based on anime. Lots of people watch anime and would get that kind of sexual humor. Not that it would necessarily happen, but I wanted to leave it available because the character is otherwise menacing and plays in the red.
Now I'm having trouble toning down the development problem without making it more minor than it has to be. This is a major point about the character. I can't stress this enough. It's the centerpiece of the character. The back problems caused by her you-know-what caused her to need the metal graft, which caused her to be hired by the the organization providing the metal to be grafted for the operation. If I change too much of that it risks killing the entire cause and effect being set up, because even adults reading it wouldn't understand exactly what kind of body development problem caused this. I'm trying to avoid situations where taking that paragraph out of context would cause confusion. As of now all the information in it is self contained.
Large you-know-what happening quickly > terrible back problems > doesn't want to get a reduction > alternative solution provided by Aqua > goes to work for Aqua after graduating.
I just can't figure out how to do it without it getting de-emphasized too much to the point of no longer seeming important when it's the most important part about the character's story.
Help please? I've never been good at rewrites, and I'm already out of ways I can think of to fix it. I'm sorry if I'm sounding difficult, you two. I know you're doing your jobs and nobody is above the rules, not even members who are almost as old as dirt since Elite with few being older. I'm not asking for special treatment. This is just incredibly difficult for me to do on my own. Not that I'm not trying, but I've hit the proverbial wall and my head is starting to hurt from hitting it repeatedly. I can't do this on my own, and I'm feeling like a retard right now. I know the what, but can't figure out the how to actually do it part.

Let's work together Bron. I think that we can help you fix your issues. The use of Sanran Kagura characters is pretty extreme, considering their circumstances as being a close to H-series by themselves. So first of all, megalomaniac characters are actually pretty common. Have you considered more toned down characters like Gasai Yuno (http://ruisuda.deviantart.com/art/Gasai-Yuno-351551027) or Ayase Aragaki (http://www.animevice.com/ayase-aragaki/18-29403/all-images/84-208394/oreimo_2___02__30_/83-639462/)? Since your description only deals with appearance, their general characters may suit your needs as well. Don't worry about breast size as much, since we're going to help you fix that problem.
Large you-know-what happening quickly > terrible back problems > doesn't want to get a reduction > alternative solution provided by Aqua > goes to work for Aqua after graduating.
Well how about some sort of accident causing her to need the plating that supports her spine? I'd imagine training at a shinobi school would be quite dangerous, so maybe she was training at an obstacle course of some sort with live ammo, and she was running atop a roof when a stray bullet got her, causing her to fall directly on her back, cracking her spine. She chooses to undergo surgery to have the metal reinforcement, etc. etc.
I think you have a detailed back story there, and minor changes can change the uncomfortable issues others have been having. Why not, right?

It's actually multiple Senran characters combined, with some of my own stuff added and changes made. I'm not using the close to H stuff, and I didn't actually intend to almost break a rule. You don't see me using Hikage's other outfits. Her sky blue variant shionbi outfit covers everything needed, and I felt that while close to breaking the rule, since it covers the important stuff it didn't actually break the rule. I mean it is covered, so the rule can't have gotten broken. I'm not posting porn on the forum, nor do I intend to post rampant XXX-rated RP posts. I just over-described the outfit, and we fixed that. I just brain farted after that, and looking for more info.
Don't worry about size as much? It's the basis for the entire character and the backbone (Ohhh, sort of pun!) of the character. The character centers around it. Entire. Character. Concept. Destroyed. Right. There. Hardly a minor change. That's not something that actually needs to be changed man, especially since Sabi already said she was fine with that. The character concept centers around and depends on the size, and that scenario you're bringing up destroys the character concept. Too drastic, sorry. Please don't bring up ways to fix the character that would destroy it and make it something else entirely. Something I wouldn't have fun with.
I don't do megalomaniac or genuinely evil characters. Mercenary is the only way I can play on Aqua.
Why not? First of all it's too drastic. Second of all Sabi already said that part is fine, and we were working to kid-friendly-fy things a bit more for readers.
I appreciate the help from my bro, but please stick to what we had. We were almost there, and you're straying too far from it. Just please help me see what Sabi and Lightning are seeing. We're so close to making it acceptable without destroying the character concept. I can't figure out how to do what they're asking. My descriptive ability is failing and I'm asking for help, because yes, I do actually want to make it acceptable, but there has to be a way to do that without the character concept being destroyed. Maybe it's my disability causing my failure.....

Bron, I make quotations so that people know what I'm responding to. You didn't change your post much aside from a few sentences. Also we have preview post for a reason, so I'm within my right to quote posts.
Anyway, basically as I said, having an emotionless character with a large chest is fine. Having a whole plot point about her and about the chest isn't exactly kid friendly. Make it more subtle and not in your face to read, and it should be fine.
Large you-know-what happening quickly > terrible back problems > doesn't want to get a reduction > alternative solution provided by Aqua > goes to work for Aqua after graduating.
See, now this isn't so bad of a description, you're already on your way there. Teenage development happens quickly, which leads to terrible back problems. Your character is female so we don't need to expressly detail what said problem is. It's obvious. She doesn't want to get surgery to solve the problem, but Aqua provides an alternate solution for her and thus she returns to Aqua after graduating. It's short, simple and to the point. Remember that not everything needs to be laid out in extreme detail, and the minimum explanation for certain things can be your friend. Remember that minimal description for some things doesn't mean it's making it less important.
You're a smart guy Bron, this isn't as difficult as it seems.

I honestly didn't see anything wrong with it. It's not like it's going to be a huge focus. We just need to know what people look like. It's nothing more than a reference point. Not like we have to describe in detail every time we see him (her). I mean technically War isn't PG. We just need to quit being so childish with things and worry about ohhh it's to sexual. Not like he's going to do anything X Rated in the role play anyways.

I've finally gotten this down. Also, sorry about the huge back-story section, everyone.
Name: Yarvick Xelsez, AKA 'The Raticate'
Gender: MASCULINE!
Age: 22.
Team: Aqua (BECAUSE LAND MEANS LEDGES)
Description: Yarvick Xelsez is not the most physically intimidating man in the world. Standing at 5-foot-6 and naturally scrawny, he makes up with muscle what he lacks in height. That being said, he isn't a crazy fitness buff, so the build is best thought of as 'athletic.' Yarvick's face is angular, but short, ending in a subtle chin. His beady brown eyes, dirty-blonde hair, brown skin and copious freckles all make a color pattern reminiscent of a Raticate, hence the nickname. The Raticate-like nose, whisker-like mustache, and the slightly elongated front teeth only bolster the appearance more.
For his credit, Yarvick isn't even remotely phased, and indeed even plays it up. He is rarely seen in proper clothes: he intentionally stains and tears the shirts and jeans he obtains to give off the vibe of a homeless person. He does similarly with his hair and face, legitimately diving headfirst into dirt and mud to achieve the desired effect without making it look fake to even the perceptive eye. He never combs his hair and rarely cuts it, and when he does cut it, he does so improperly. He doesn't even don the Aqua symbol at all-or at least not directly. Sometimes he cuts his clothes to have an 'A' like shape upon them for this purpose, and he wears blue outfits primarily, but that's really it. It all makes him look like a homeless person and nothing more than a lowly, pitiful thief...Rather than the cunning, extremely talented thief he actually is. The deception isn't that he's not going to cause trouble, but rather how much trouble he'd cause.
Personality: Yarvick is a pretty big a**hole. First and foremost, he doens't care for other people's feelings all that much: If he needs to, he will mercilessly manipulate the ever-loving s**t out of anyone, the only regard to the aftereffects being if they can bite him in the a** later on down the road. Of course, he's not exactly one to exploit this particular trait-too many manipulations makes life complicated, and he hates overly-complicated thought games like the plague. He prefers to do things himself-and by 'doing things,' he means stealing things. Murder, assassinations and the like are not his big thing (indeed, he can count on one hand how many time's he's killed people), his talent lies in getting past security, taking anything of value, and getting out without being noticed. Indeed, murder is sloppy in his eyes-it makes people less likely to hire your services. However, due to his current job allowing and even encouraging such, Yarvick will shoot to kill if he can.
Aside from being a huge klemo, the reason Yarvick is a thief is because of the thrill of it. Sure, it pays the bills, in a sense, but Yarvick would not tolerate a desk job, or really most jobs in general, because there's a requirement of saftey involved. Yarvick definitely wants to keep his skin, let no man be mistaken, but Yarvick wants to dance with death and be the lead in their maddening waltz, which left two options: millitary, or something illegal and very dangerous, like high-class theft. Yarvick was no soldier and would not have tolerated the hierarchy or the extreme strictness. There's also the fact that Yarvick is pretty greedy. He knows when it's too good to be true, but he'll take any dollar bill he can get his hands on-soldiers may have had good income, but thieves got their hands on far more. That, an he was a klemo. Theft appealed to him immediately. Hence, his choice: to be a thief.
Yarvick isn't heartless and can, in fact, care for others who give a s**t. It's just that, well...Honestly, would YOU give a s**t to a man who, in every manner, attempts to look like a street rat? And even if you see past that, he IS a huge klemo and a genuinely horrible man, especially to the rest of mankind-he prefers Pokemon or computers to human company, and though he can effectively work with a group, he prefers solo operations. He does have his standards-wanton death, rape, or other severe crimes sicken him, especially if done without a remote reason-but otherwise he's not exactly nice and can justify a lot-or just ignore the moral repercussions entirely. He does have a tendency to be a joker, and heavily approves of the All Clown Squadron of Fun, or other such hilariously named weapons. That being said, as far as fights are concerned, humiliating his opponents is an afterthought to actually eliminating them, and henceforth likes to leave them with absolutely no chance whatsoever, not even the chance to actually fight back. If he fights, he fights from the shadows and unleashes devastation, both fast and unseen.
Background: Yarvick was born in Flororma, Sinnoh on February the 28th, 1989. He grew up with his mother in that small town as long as he could remember and has not left the vicinity of the town for any reason. His mother was one of the supervisors in the Power Plant a route away, which kept the duo thoroughly out of poverty. His father was completely absent from Yarvick's life, aside from the birthday gifts he sent Yarvick's way, sent anonymously and from unknown locations. His mother never spoke of him other than that she did sincerely love him at some point, but no longer. Yarvick assumed that there was a rather nasty divorce, but his mother insisted they were technically still married, just 'living apart.' Yarvick's father, in any case, never visited Yarvick at any point, communicating exclusively through the gifts he gave to him for his birthdays and Christmas-including Atlas, then a mere Porygon, on his tenth birthday, in possible preparation for a journey (he ultimately wasn't intrigued enough). Every gift only made his curiosity go up further. At the time he found Atlas, he was going the extra mile to figure out who his father was, but his mother made every attempt humanly possible to prevent it-"When you're older," she would say. Even when he was officially an adult. For the most part, this question was at the back of his head after a few years, occasionally cropping back up, making him reflective.
His school life was not exactly wonderful. Being the runt made one an easy target for bullies. The small kid was also the fast one, however, so they had a hard time catching him-though it was always painful if they did. Yarvick himself retaliated in these incidents by stealing their lunch money (or their actual lunch), which only made the bullies even more likely to pick on Yarvick. This vicious cycle continued until Yarvick managed to basically outrun everyone in the school, and when running failed, he could squeeze himself into tight spaces as the need required to escape sight. Eventually, attacking him became impossible without a Pokemon-and Pokemon were not allowed inside the school. As if that wasn't enough encouragement to leave Yarvick alone, Yarvick also decided to work out, midigating the lack of muscle. Though he wouldn't magically grow several inches in the process of working out, he did grow muscles and an aptitude for swimming-and running even faster. He tried out for Track and Swim team, though he only managed to get into the former. He broke the school's record for fastest 1-lap run, but otherwise his career was mostly a footnote to him. At that point, nobody really tried to ruin his day. Yet, his thieving continued, which got him in a load of trouble. Though he never got expelled for his shenanigans, he was rejected from every college he dared to apply to. This was despite his almost consistent A average, to say nothing of his incredible aptitute for computer programming-an aptitude born of using the very computers to sneak Atlas into the school, but over time developed into an actual interest. After High School, with college a no-go, the 18-year old Yarvick decided to go on a Pokemon Journey...Except, he didn't go for the badges. No, he primarily left home to steal things.
In fact, almost exclusively to steal things. The thrill of running away with ill-gotten goods, or just running and taking in general, had gotten into Yarvick's head quite firmly, and nobody bothered to correct this particular behavior, so Yarvick was now firmly a Klemo. His pickpocket skill was naturally self-taught, as was the good old snatch 'n' grab, but then he started using Atlas to bypass security systems in some more well-guarded areas, using their own cameras to evade the law and delete the footage while he shoves his bag full of loot. His only captured Pokemon was an Abra, first strictly for the teleportation, then for the power and intelligence of its evolutions-in other words, he only caught one Pokemon, just as a thief's aid as well. Most of his money also came to buying thieves tools-lockpicks, some light explosives, basically anything that helped him take things in a less-than-legal manner. It all came to a head when he attempted to steal one of the starters from Professor Rowan. He succeeded, but an unexpected assistant in a bathroom noticed, and that lead to a headhunt that left Yarvick fleeing from Sandgem town as fast as possible and dodging authorities for a good week. He officially had enough of his home region at this point, and used his copious amount of stolen money to buy a boat ride to Hoenn.
There, things got interesting. In short, he was still a thieving klemo aboard the ship, and stole from passengers intermittently. Among them was Hoenn's rising star in the Army, Colonel Salvador Brillo, a man of complete and pure tactical genius, to levels enough that it was often exaggerated. However, this wasn't exactly unjustified-Brillo's accomplishments include taking out a whole terrorist cell, completely neutralizing a threat to Hoenn, without any violence whatsoever-hence his nickname, 'Peacemaker.' And this was considered getting off easy: Brillo's Pokemon Battle record was incredible, with only 9 losses to his name, contrasting 121 victories on the official circuit. To the armed forces of Hoenn, he was basically Chuck Norris. Brillo was also a very relaxed, very humble, and generally cool dude, so one could pass him on the street without recognizing him when not on-duty. Henceforth, Yarvick had no way of realizing that the laid-back passenger next door was one of the most bada** men to ever live, and promptly made the huge mistake of trying to steal from Brillo. Yarvick did it in the dead of night after thorough planning and a lot of experience in stealing from the cabins-this was the last night and Hoenn was not extraordinarily far away. Needless to say, he got caught immediately, and pinned to the wall by a VERY angry Swampert.
The next series of events, in Yarvick's opinion, was total bulls**t luck, the one time it actually favored him. In total desperation, Yarvick managed to barely grasp Rhea's Poke Ball and activate it, in a very stupid attempt to kill the Swampert. What nobody could have feasibly expected was Oceanus, the Swampert, to legitimately look to his side, notice Rhea, and then promptly fall hopelessly in love, distracting him from Yarvick for a critical second. Brillo caught on quickly by all standards, but Yarvick was faster-he took the opportunity to slam the baton into Oceanus'es face, slip away from the pin when Oceanus reflexively retracted, and club the unfortunate colonel to death before the second Poke Ball went down.
Yarvick did not intend to kill the dude-he merely got caught up in the excitement. It was the first time he actually murdered anyone. He found it surprisingly easy considering he was near death himself, and brushed it off at that moment, instead focusing on getting the infuriated Oceanus back in his Poke Ball and getting the hell out of dodge. The Swampert was out for long enough to cause a good deal of ruckus, and Yarvick knew what that meant. He ran like hell, taking what he could and deliberately jumping overboard without a lifeboat, attempting to escape unseen. The jump down hurt like hell and broke a couple of ribs, but it worked, and Yarvick spent most next day swimming towards Hoenn.
When he got there, news of Brillo's 'assassination' had already reached, and they had already pinned it on Yarvick. Yarvick didn't like the sudden focus on finding him, but nevertheless his klemo ways were set in stone. He went to the black market and plied his trade as a thief, being hired to steal trinkets and things from others, with the explicit restriction that the 'others' could not include military personnel. He didn't want another run-in like before. He was incredibly successful, and from the age of 19 to the present, he had built up an excellent credibility as an ace thief, the man to turn to if you need someone to be taught a non-aggressive message...Or just needed something stolen for bribery.
Yarvick would have been content with living out his life like that, but then, when Burst Hearts and a war on Orre and between Kanto and Johto were suddenly the talk of the town, he was approached by several terrorists working for 'Team Aqua,' attempting to hire his services for the 'long-term' with one of the rare Burst Hearts that leaked onto the black market, and a LOT of cash. He didn't need anything else to immediately close the deal. Team Aqua's goals for the long term required him to have SOME skill with weapons, so as part of the job, he was forced into training with pistols and SMGs until he could reliably shoot human-sized targets at reasonable distances, as well as the use of some grenades and other small explosives handy for the job. For the most part, Yarvick considered it just additional job training for the road ahead, the more dangerous, but more rewarding road. He preferred danger and excitement in his life, and this was in all ways what he wanted.
His primary concerns at this juncture is still to steal things, aid his employers as much as possible, maybe honestly stick around with the crazy group, see Team Aqua through to world domination, and most importantly, get so filthy rich that he makes Scrooge McDuck look like a beggar.
Pokemon:
-Atlas the (N/A) Porygon-Z: The first Pokemon Yarvick ever got his greasy little hands on, this was a gift from his father. Atlas is a Pokemon absolutely obsessed with efficiency. Bureaucracy is an insult to Atlas, as is laziness. He (Atlas uses masculine pronouns) is a bit naggy over Yarvick's choice of lifestyle, but nevertheless gives his 100% and more to backing him. His primary duty is to provide additional hacking power to Yarvick's fingertips, which he does admirably. He's also powerful in combat, if one gets past the inevitable 'muscle spasms' that all Porygon-Z contend with...Bursting with Atlas, notably, removes the issue for the most part. His ability is Adaptability.
-Hyperion the (Male) Alakazam: The only Pokemon Yarvick actually bothered to capture himself, and it shows. Hyperion is the only Pokemon on the team genuinely concerned for Yarvick's choice of lifestyle, the only one who may defy Yarvick's ideas if he thinks he's got something better, and would genuinely be quite a broken Pokemon if Yarvick died-despite the fact Hyperion knows he was captured as a thief's aid. Due to this, Hyperion often uses his power to teleport his master away from imminent danger whenever he senses it. He's also the go-to Pokemon for screwing around with anyone's mind-and of course, he's also very potent in combat. If incredibly frail. We're obviously not forgetting his intelligence...Which Yarvick uses to plan his thefts to begin with 90% of the time so he doesn't die. His ability is Synchronize.
-Rhea the (Female) Infernape: Stolen from the unfortunate Professor Rowan, Rhea is part of the actual muscle of the team, a lethal fury of punches and kicks waiting to be unleashed on any fool to dare cross Yarvick in a bad way. She herself is a calm, cool and serene reflection of a traditional martial artist, more focused on physically and mentally honing herself to a level of perfection than Yarvick's life of thievery. She has been trained by Yarvick as long as she can remember, and her loyalty is quite secure-and her sheer physical power unquestionable. Rhea is also the target of Oceanus'es affections, giving Yarvick leverage with the latter. Her ability is Iron Fist.
-Eos the (Female) Whimsicott: Stolen from an extraordinarily creepy Fairy Tale Girl, Eos is...Equally creepy. She can slide into ANY space, even the tiniest, making her an incredible asset in stealing anything, and her moves allow for immediate takedowns without alarms being set off. That being said, Yarvick's interactions with the thing itself prove Yarvick only tolerates her due to her ability to steal like a boss, and CANNOT stand her apparent intention to drive Yarvick insane and make him and his team and basically everyone a servant to her twisted desires, like that extraordinarily creepy Fairy Tale Girl he stole her from. Indeed, Eos is the type to take over the world herself like a mad lunatic. That being said, thus long as Hyperion and Iapetus have eyes on her, her intentions are doomed to JUST be intentions and not actual plans to take over the world and turn everyone into Fairy Tale Girls. Oh, and she never stops smiling. Never. No matter what happens. Her ability is Prankster.
-Oceanus the (Male) Swampert: Stolen from the corpse of Colonel Brillo, Oceanus is the commander's starter and shares his personality and tactical thought...That is to say, he's simultaneously a smooth talker (as much as a Swampert can get) and an incredibly destructive Pokemon, definitely the powerhouse of the team by a mile, combed with exceptional and oftentimes abnormal planning. Oceanus is practically guaranteed to own you on his own, no matter who 'you' are. Unfortunately for Yarvick, a lot of this crazy planning and power is sent his way due to killing the commander that he once worked under-it's not surprising, really. Yarvick's since managed to cool his lid considerably, but the occasional attempt to murder him still stands. He's also completely unfitting for Bursting with due to how much the minds conflict-one wanting the other dead does not give ideal circumstances, and can cause spasms or sudden paralysis as they duke it out mentally. Being under Hyperion thwarts a lot of his attempts at murdering him, however, and in a surprise twist Oceanus is hopelessly in love with Rhea, giving Yarvick some control over him. His ability is Torrent.
-Iapetus the (Male) Gengar: Stolen from a former Rocket Executive in Hoenn, Iapetus is as cruel as his former master-preferring to pepper foes with status conditions and hiding in the shadows to best exploit the debilitating effects rather than fight directly. He's definitely the only Pokemon to share Yarvick's mindset, and the two see each other eye-to-eye, despite Iapetus and Yarvick having the least amount of time between them. Iapetus sees humanity in general as far more interesting than his brethren Pokemon, and is the less of a complete jerk to humanity than he is to random Pokemon. This means that he has a profound distaste for the rest of his teammates, especially Eos. His ability is Levitate.
Other: Yarvick's weapon proficiencies lie with batons, pistols and SMGs in general (typically silenced variants), and occasionally light explosives, including grenades of all kinds. That being said, Yarvick is a thief and hacker before an actual combatant. He can stealth fantastically and can, in fact, assassinate others, but his specialty lies within the illegal seizing of assets, so putting him on the front lines is an egregious mistake. He can fight back against a few foes to a good extent, but he's DEFINITELY no soldier. Yarvick himself is an expert safecracker, hacker, sneaker, pickpocket, and generally an elite thief who you call up to steal anything. He IS proficient in CQC with his baton, and equally proficient in using his legitimate lethal weapons...But 'expert' is considerably stretching it. He's also a fast and agile runner, and he can, in fact, parkour his way out of several situations-or just run faster than the threats. Lastly, due to his upbringing in Floroma, Yarvick has capabilities in horticulture and agriculture, and is often seen growing wild blackberries or other fruit-bearing trees. That is definitely more of a hobby than anything, though this does mean he has access to herbal medicine and berries.

As I said before, what the subject is and how it's handled are two things that need to be taken into consideration. While it may not be a huge focus in the RP itself, the information made a large focus out of it. I have had multiple comments from other members including staff about how they don't find it appropriate, and or it makes them feel uncomfortable. Whether WAR itself is PG appropriate or not was already dealt with during the creation process, so this isn't much of a valid point, it's taken care of. If the subject of war itself wasn't child safe, they wouldn't teach kids about it in elementary school. Lord Celebi isn't going to have people going about the whole details such as full on describing the WW2 Holocaust here.
I don't think it's being childish when I have concerns being brought up to me by multiple members as well as staff, and I'm taking care of them as best as I can looking at both sides. I don't entirely agree with the execution of how the information is put out. Lack of underwear and jiggling? That is not a necessary detail. How one's pants fit on their body isn't necessary either, just mention they're tight. I'm already putting aside a lot of mentions of people saying that the character doesn't fit in personal taste, I'm mentioning what is actually appropriate, and what is not. People are stating discomfort with some of the information displayed and I can't leave that ignored. My duty as an RP mod is to make sure all the concerns are met properly and with a fair outlook.

This is my first time ever doing official Role-Play. If I need to change anything please let me know.

Name: Quinn Harrison
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Team: Team Trainer
Description: Quinn stands at roughly 5 feet 6 inches [Roughly 1.68 meters]. She has a petite build, and in the past she has been made fun of for being small. She has long, wavy blond hair with noticeable bangs. She is rather pale, and has mysterious blue eyes to match. She wares glasses on a regular basis, but she doesn't let them hinder her in any way.
She normally wears jeans and a hoodie; she has never been too into fashion. However, when working on a project, she is usually wearing a labcoat. One of her arms is robotic [find out why in the backstory], which also leads to some amazing physical capability.
Personality: Ever since she was a little girl, Quinn has always been intelligent. She could get the answers to questions her peers could only dream of. She isn't the one to engage in a physical brawl, but she would gladly take you on any day for a debate. She is usually shy, unless she is with people she trusts, then she opens up. She also gets very angered when her intelligence gets called into question. Since she was never very good at making friends, she generally chooses not to socialize with others, isolating herself from society so she could hone her intellectual abilities.
Quinn has also always been good at building things. She built her own prosthetic arm, and she has also capable of designing and building effective weapons for use in the war. She never shares her designs to other people for a fear that they might steal them. She prefers to work alone, but will ask for help if she absolutely needs it. Her independence may be a hindrance at times though.
Background: Quinn was an only child, born to Mary and Frank Harrison in Celadon City . Both of her parents were rather intelligent, Mary being a doctor and Frank being a lawyer. Her parents have been making sure she gets good grades in school ever since she was a child. This made Quinn grow to love school more than ever. She skipped two grades in grade school, and even then she preformed better than all the other students in academic classes.
However, her childhood wasn't one-hundred percent awesome. Quinn was already on the shorter side to begin with, and skipping two grades wasn't helping her cause. She was constantly made fun of for being the short kid. By high school, she was still made fun of because all the other girls were developed while she wasn't. All of this hate lead to a general dislike of people.
Quinn put her intelligence to good use throughout the years. Not only did she ace every test, she contributed her scientific theories to local research centers, which led them to make many ground-breaking discoveries in the science realm. Quinn had a dream of one day becoming a scientist herself, and eventually, that dream was eventually recognized. She was only 17 at the time, which was pretty impressive. However, then tragedy struck.
One day while she was working in the laboratory, there was a terrible accident. There was a freak chemical explosion, and while many of the scientists working at the laboratory died, Quinn just had her left arm blown off. The paramedics got to the scene in time, and while it was a long road to recovery, Quinn survived. With just one arm, she designed and build a prosthetic arm [with help, but it was mostly her] that would enhance her lackluster physical capabilities. To this day, Quinn's arm cannon (referred to as the ProstheticX) is a main weapon in her war arsenal.
Pokemon: Alakazam [♂], Metagross [-], Ninetales [♀], Noctowl [♂], Espeon [♀], Umbreon [♂]
Other: The ProstheticX serves as a weapon in both Melee and Ranged combat.

I'd have to agree with Caite-chan. We're really, really being overly politically correct here. If anyone is sensitive about little details like that, they really need to jump off the Internet immediately.
I looked at Bron's sign up, it's fine. A little unusual, yeah, but had I been RP judge, I would have let it go and would just get to the action. Let's just drop the debating and get to RPing.

How's it look now guys? Please tell me I can start racking up a body count? Would really like to get to the action. The completely non X-rated action, which I have to make sure people are aware of me not engaging in.
I wrote it as Sabi asked, almost word for word:
Teenage development happens quickly, which leads to terrible back problems. Your character is female so we don't need to expressly detail what said problem is. It's obvious. She doesn't want to get surgery to solve the problem, but Aqua provides an alternate solution for her and thus she returns to Aqua after graduating.

Name: Clarisse Faolen Thompson
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Team: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Description
Oddly contrary to her personality, Clarisse prefers to project a forgettable appearance. Her natural hair color is a light brown and is tied back into a long braid. It can be either pulled together as a bun with two sticks securing it, or just worn down. Typically on one of her heists, Clarisse prefers to pull her hair up just so it won't get caught on something. Her eyes are plain brown, though many people often don't see her natural eye color. As for other prominent features, there aren't any to set her apart from someone else in a crowd. And she prefers it this way. Build-wise, Clarisse is about 5"5, and well-built. She does a fair amount of weightlifting and heavy work, so she can throw some punches if she needs to.
But it's hard enough to ever know what Clarisse really looks like. She has a gift for impersonating just about anyone with some observation or even making up a new persona. Her disguises can be anything and everything possible. Need a big juggernaut to sneak into a security lineup? She's your gal. Secretary for the head of a large organization? Can do! Not much is impossible for her, though it is to be noted that she does tire of impersonation after a decent amount of time -- people get bored easily and Clarisse isn't an exception to that rule. And as a result of her boredom, she starts to slip up a little. Even so, very observant people or folks who are close to the people she disguises herself as have an easier time seeing through them.
Well, okay, wearing a disguise is tiring all the time. On a day to day basis, Clarisse wears a plain black blazer over a blouse. She pairs that with a moderate skirt and high-heels. On one of her heists, she usually wears a tight suit along with her disguises. To protect herself, Clarisse carries around a Luger - it's a family heirloom, so she says -- and she's a decent shot with it.
Personality
"Information is everyone's best friend! Except for puppies."
Clarisse is best defined as a happy-go-lucky person. She rarely worries about anything, even the things she should be worried about. Clarisse is very good at changing her emotions and thoughts to match the situation, but there's always a current of confidence running underneath. Eventually, her overwhelming confidence will defeat her, so she believes. She's happy to help out anyone. Almost anyone, that is, as there are some people she prefers to avoid dealing with, such as terrorists and the ever-growing military factions like Team Aqua. However, most of her actions follow a somewhat strict code of honor she set for herself. The code of honor includes not killing anyone in her line of work even in defense, honoring promises made, and to help those that need it. One thing you can count on Clarisse for is that she will never divulge information about other thieves she knows of, even if they work for unsavory folks that she dislikes. So while her line of work isn't the most honorable, Clarisse sticks to her standards.
Behind her happy-go-lucky persona is a calculating mind. There's a reason why Clarisse is adept at pulling off some near-impossible jobs, and her brain is one of them. That and her unwavering confidence in whatever she does. It is rather hard to phase her or catch her in a mental trap. Her only point of weakness seems to be anything related to her parents, but Clarisse is very tight-lipped about her past. Clarisse is well-taught in many fields of science, having put together a lot of compounds for her heist and fiddling around with her gun and other gadgets.
She is a person who easily finds fun in everything and can taunt her enemies at every turn of the page. On occasion, Clarisse dispenses helpful advice to those that are trying to catch her red-handed. While that hasn't gotten her arrested, eventually it could. In any case, she wants to go big, bigger, and biggest when it comes to her heists.
Background
First and foremost, Clarisse is a thief. It all started with her birth in Phenac City. Daughter of an industry expert in security and a detective, Clarisse's family was pretty dang well off. Phenac was a high-tech city, at least for Orre at the time, but its facade barely covered the seething underbelly of the city's crime. As long as she remembered, her parents were barely around the house, often leaving her in daycare every day early in the morning. Her dad was caught up in murder cases and high-profile thefts in Phenac; her mother was pulled away from home overseas for long periods for consulting within the industry. It goes to say that her dad was often the only family figure she saw at home and as a result, Clarisse was a bit of a tomboy growing up.
She also became fiercely independent as a result and often turned to reading and writing to amuse herself. When she entered the Phenac school system at the age of five, Clarisse quickly became popular due to her personality and was often out at friends' houses most days. Despite this, she only had a few steadfast friends from school that she could count on in a bind. It was also around this time that her parents got even more busy, leaving her home alone a lot of the time. She started studying more for school and basically throwing herself into the sciences, planning on becoming an engineer. She always had free access to her dad's department and a lot of the detectives that knew her dad took it upon them to teach Clarisse basic survival skills like... shooting guns and stuff like that. Because, y'know, Phenac was a seedy city under all the shiny stuff. As a result, Clarisse is able to hit most people accurately with a firearm. The only thing that didn't seem to catch on was driving and well... they say she got her license through sheer clout, not actual skill.
She finally upped and left to travel all over Orre on one of those Pokemon trainer journeys, keeping only minimal contact with her parents. It was around this time she started to plan and pull off heists, especially with the help of a mysterious person she refers to as "Ace". The police compiled a case file on these heists, but with the rising military tensions arising between the regions, they had other problems to worry about. Clarisse really didn't steal all that much, only testing the waters with security systems and the like. This continued for several years as Clarisse traveled around Orre and to other regions, finally ending up in Hoenn for its affluence and rising developments in technology. On her travels, she built up an information network and a slew of connections to various parts of the underworld and even in the business world.
2014 rolled around, and Clarisse caught wind of the Burst Hearts at the Biomedical conference Dr Petrovich was lecturing at. At the time, she was working as a secretary for one of the scientists attending and recognized the potential of Burst Hearts. She didn't do much with it, having little knowledge of how the military would move. It was unfortunately really, and it was only through the hurried communications of her informants that Clarisse received word of the attack on her home region by Hoenn soldiers.
Enraged by this, Clarisse saw that there was really no point in breaking her cover now. She waited until Johto and Kanto declared war on each other and vanished into the chaos arising in the regions, hoping to see if there were any way to end the war. Currently, the rise of Team Aqua to power irks her but there is little Clarisse can do to quell it. In the meantime, she finds it amusing to steal from Team Aqua and various other military factions, having acquired a Burst Heart in this way.
Pokemon:
Riesling [ Ariados | F | Swarm] - Received from one of her dad's friends, Riesling is Clarisse's first Pokemon, trained from a rather cute (in her opinion at least) Spinarak. With her calm personality, Riesling is the rock of the team, keeping most of them in check. To the other members of the team, Riesling is regarded as the 'mom' due to how much she worries over the health of everyone else, Clarisse included. Though to be honest, she doesn't have to worry over Clarisse as much. In any case, Riesling easily goes along with Clarisse's antics, often pulling her out of sticky situations.
Arsene [ Drifblim | M | Prankster] - A somewhat recent acquisition, Clarisse was traded Arsene while she was vacationing in Sinnoh as a Driftloon. It didn't take much training for her to get him to evolve, though the Pokemon had an odd penchant for stealing things. As a result, Arsene fully supports whatever endeavors Clarisse gets herself. Clarisse uses Arsene as a getaway, easily vanishing away into the odd fog that arises around one of her jobs.
Lupin [ Arcanine | M | Intimidate] - The newest member of the team, Lupin is totally in cahoots with Sequana, playing pranks on just about everyone, Clarisse and co. included. He was received... well... stolen during a heist and never looked back since; his previous master was a cruel one. The only problem is that Lupin has no sense of 'serious' and 'fun', leading to some... sketchy jobs. Clarisse is trying hard to keep him on a leash, but well, that's hard enough!
Sequana [ Floatzel | F | Swift Swim] - The other member of the tricksy duo, Sequana is fast, slippery, eager, and a brawler. She's independent, and will often stick around to throwdown with other Pokemon even long after Clarisse clears the scene. Clarisse has rode Sequana a few times to other regions, though she dislikes the mode of transportation.
Loki [ Gengar | M | Levitate] - The final member of Clarisse's team, Loki is brainy but mischievous. He delights in scaring people when they least expect it. Unfortunately for him, a well-aimed chop from Clarisse is usually enough to keep him in line. As far as Clarisse knows, Loki has always been there watching out for her since she got him as a Gastly in Orre. Very rarely does she actually return Loki to his Pokeball, since he always hides in her shadow.
Other: Clarisse is currently operating under the assumed name of Annabella O'Trellis, an independent artist situated in Eructeak City in the Johto Region. She's thinking of clearing out since the fighting is getting worse there. She is able to use firearms, her preferred weapon being a Luger (occasionally modified with other tricks), and she is able to defend herself in close combat. However, Clarisse has a bit of a talent for slipping away undetected, so when confronted, she will do so if possible. Plus she can't hold up very well against the burly, brutish types.
As for other skills, Clarisse has some proficiency in cracking security systems using computers, but through the old-fashioned method of exploiting weaknesses in the system. She does have information on most organizations and their security, having a decent information network scattered throughout the world and within the underworld. Funding-wise, money isn't a problem for her. She also has good knowledge of applied chemistry, able to mix specific compounds for distractions and getaways.
"Ace", the aforementioned accomplice of Clarisse is one of her close friends from school. She's also decent at impersonating and Clarisse often calls upon her for help. They're as thick as thieves (hahaha) and often plan together.
Also, don't let her drive. Really don't, she'll probably crash the car right before she even starts it up.

Lord Celebi
About my recent post, why is it invalidated? I didn't read a thing about there being negative effects, and frankly, it's only if they use it often and continually. Occasional use, which is how it should be used anyway, is not detrimental and I intended to explain this later on. The current test featured bursting more or less every day/week, which is far above the norm of expected use. There wasn't really any mention of it to "bring people closer" to their Pokemon in the whole set up (not that I recall, and I skimmed before posting), and with what Neo was doing about the whole genetic testing thing, I figured it would, logically, have effects on the trainers and Pokemon since it messes with DNA.
If this doesn't work, then none of his posts about the genetic stuff should either because it's "magick". Just pointing this out.

About my recent post, why is it invalidated? I didn't read a thing about there being negative effects, and frankly, it's only if they use it often and continually. Occasional use, which is how it should be used anyway, is not detrimental and I intended to explain this later on. Neo has explained how he's creating Chimeras to me and its pure genetics. It's more like Pokemon hybrids from WAR Season V/Cannons to Heaven than it is like Bursting.
Your post pretty much makes it sound like the Pokemon gets traumatized with each use from the get-go as opposed to repeated use until the user eventually becomes something akin to the junkie. Granted, no, I didn't post it in the plot but its what I intended when I wrote it. I don't think Burst Hearts mess with DNA, granted, I really didn't think it through from that perspective. I intended Bursting to be magical/divine. I understand I left a lot of this fuzzy from my initial explanation and this disagreement we're having is what I deserved for not being more detailed in my initial description, but I am uncomfortable with this explanation because I feel like it breaks the core component of this RP.
Perhaps we can compromise if you are adamant on this. What kind of effect were you hoping to have? Let's brainstorm something we both find acceptable.

WAR Week 1: Post's 1-69
So interesting week so far... had a hard time deciding on things but that may be a result of me rereading the entire RP and taking notes on it. Please note that everything after Post 69 (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?3851-WAR-Role-Play-Terminus&p=98246&viewfull=1#post98246) was not judged for this week because I had a lot of reading and notes to be taking. Yep I'm keeping notes. Don't judge me. I'll keep this short and brief, and I had no idea where else to post this other than here.
The Nonexistent Tazz: 3 points
I feel like what I've been reading from you is getting progressively better and better. What I thought was just grab n' cash turned out to be something a little more complex. The whole meteorite virus has gotten my interest and I see a lot of potential in it. Could go either way RP wise and I'm interested in seeing more of what comes of it. A ticking time bomb of impact for the story.
Lord Celebi: 2 points
I'm getting what I usually expect when you RP. Also I've abbreviated Norb in my notes -that were written really late at night- as CAC, or the Crazy Alcoholic Caucasian Character. Seriously, that guy. Then you kind of threw that twist at the end so I'm waiting to see what goes on there. [I]Surprise me.
Grassy_Aggron: 1 point
That thing with the Burst Heart experimentation? I liked that post a lot for what it was. You were trying to connect the dots and go in deeper, and I can see that whole premise being used in the future. You were exploring unexplored ground and I was very interested in reading it. [Even if the original was invalidated for reasons, the edited one was still good and yes I'm talking about the edited one] I got a sense of how much time it took to research that information without you posting multiple times, which was nice. I felt inside what was going on.
Other Mentions:
Neo Emolga: I know what you can do, and I can't say that the boat stealing wasn't fun to read because it was... but the PokeTarts and the mentioning of the tanks felt like project posts in disguise. It just felt a bit flat to read, even while you were in character. About halfway through what you were doing, getting to the mutation parts were better put to me and felt more progressive and more like a story was going on.
Homura: Whatever it is you're planning on doing, I want to see more of it. I want to see what your crazy hacker is planning and we need someone to pull the trigger with some PvP stuff here on a grander scale. Get to it, I know you've got something really sneaky going on, whatever it is you're planning with DS.
Aaaaaand that's all folks.

Name: Karrin "Eye" Fitz
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Team: Team Awesome
Appearance:
The general consensus on Karrin’s appearance is that she’s cute. Not beautiful, not hot, cute. She stands at a whole two inches over five feet, with a soft, round face, baby blue eyes, and an adorable button nose. Her short blonde hair is in a pixie cut. However, those who pay attention will also notice that she has the build of gymnast, all functional ropy muscle along her limbs and torso. She tends to wear jeans and a loose, yellowish shirt made out of a strange material that seems flimsy but is in fact extremely durable.
Personality:
Karrin is best described as being cold blooded. She has emotions, but they tend to take back seats to her logic and pragmatism. She tends to be straightforward, to the point, and entirely without BS. When she gets to work, she becomes clinical and focused on all the parts of the situation that will result in the situation of “death” for anyone on the opposite side of the field, and fitting her stoic, no BS attitude are the tools she uses to get the job done: guns. Lots and lots of guns.
Karrin’s general attitude is one of unbridled cynicism: she thinks very little of the human race in general, herself included. She’s always on the lookout for how someone is going to screw her over, and she doesn’t really trust much at all. Her Pokemon, for the longest time, were her only reliable backup, and she doesn’t have much in the way of human friends. This has turned into a bit of a vicious cycle, where her mistrust makes her more hostile, which makes people more likely to screw her over, which increases her mistrust, ad infinitum. She’s not a very happy woman.
However, there is one exception to her cynicism: Alastair. Alastair gave Karrin hope when she had none before, a little light in the dark of her life. If she was the bitter cynic before, now she is the cynic inspired, the idealist renewed, the most dangerous of followers. She has an absolute loyalty to Alastair, and will protect him and his interests to the best of her ability. She genuinely believes in him, to the point where if she found him asking her to drink the Kool-Aid, she’d only ask if she should down the whole bowl or leave some for the other people. At the time in her life when she saw nothing but destruction, sorrow, and anger, he showed her a beacon of hope, a person in power trying to improve the world, not tear it down for his own gain.
Background:
Karrin was born in Kalos to a single mother and a father she had never heard of, much less met. From a young age, she was one of the downtrodden, the unfortunate, the poverty stricken. At school, she was essentially a pariah; at home, she was neglected by her own mother. She was used to going hungry, to wearing tattered clothes, to being treated cruelly by others. Even when she began Pokemon training, she had to sneak Pokeballs from her native Camphrier Town’s Pokemart, and couldn’t hope to battle to capture Pokemon (her mother had no particular influence to get little Karrin a starter Pokemon, and Mommy certainly didn’t care enough to to try). She had several failures in that particular endeavor before a Honedge took pity on her, and joined her willingly to act as a guardian.
With the Honedge, who was named Shiro, Karrin finally began to catch something of a break. She was young, yes, but she had a small talent for violence. Between her ideas in battle and Shiro’s strength, she captured a Meditite from nearby Connecting Cave, and she even sneaked into Parfum Palace and caught a wild Corphish there. She eventually managed to get away from her situation at her mother’s house, and began a Pokemon journey. But unfortunately, her journey was cut short.
By Team Rocket.
You see, so desperate was Karrin to get out of her situation, and indeed out of Kalos entirely, that she allowed herself to be charmed by a man who was in fact a Team Rocket admin. The admin was in Kalos specifically to recruit young, vulnerable trainers, and Karrin was the ideal mark. The 11 year old Karrin had almost no previous experiences with kindness, and so she fell into his trap. When he offered her "a way out", she leapt on it, and so he took her to Unova as he promised her.
What he neglected to mention was that he was taking her to the Team Rocket boot camp. Karrin managed to wise up and hide her Pokemon from being taken for the admin in charge there, but only just. And the boot camp was otherwise brutal: Karrin learned CQC and thieving from the fact that not learning them meant you were beaten to a pulp and went hungry. But when Karrin was given a gun for the first time, at age 12, she found she had a gift.
Karrin started off quite accurate when she first tried shooting a gun. After about a year of practice, Karrin shooting a gun meant she hither target. Dead center, every time. It didn't matter if she was using a standard pistol, a submachine gun, or a sniper rifle, if the target was stationary or moving, or if she was far away. If she could see it, she could hit it.
Team Rocket immediately put her in the position of making her one of their hitmen (hitwomen?). She didn't contradict them: she couldn't, given that she had no legal identity in Unova or Kanto or Hoenn and certainly couldn't go back to Kalos. Besides, by the time she had the ability to try to effect an escape, she was already a murdress, so she saw no way but forward. She captured other Pokemon on her travels, but that was just about the only upside to the whole thing.
Her luck didn't seem likely to change, but there was one little thing that spiraled into a cascade of breaks for her. When she was 18, she was assigned to protect a building Team Rocket was using for a Pokemon mill. However, while guarding it, she noticed a ten year old discreetly trying to free a pair of Pokemon. Normal Team Rocket procedure would have been to shoot on sight, child or no. But Karrin's conscience stayed her hand, and instead of shooting at the child, she made a big commotion in the part of the compound opposite him.
What Karrin did not know was that sparing the incognito Alastair Harper was pretty much going to win her the karmic jackpot a few years down the line.
When Karrin was 25, she heard whispers of movements against Team Rocket. At first, she dismissed them as rumor, but that changed when she was alone in her room one night, and a Froslass simply...appeared. Karrin was ready to shoot or send her Pokemon, but the Froslass was not hostile. Instead, Karrin (very cautiously) followed the Pokemon to a private area (while making sure she had her Pokemon backing her up). And who should appear but the child she let go seven years before?
While Karrin was choking in sheer shock of recognition, Alastair spilled the beans to her. He talked about how he was going to uproot Team Rocket and destroy their influence. How he needed someone who would help him to the end, who would be both loyal and intelligent. He pointed out how they forced her recruitment, and how they did that to countless others, and how that couldn't be allowed to happen any longer. And so he was trying to get her support.
Karrin's first question to him was "So, when exactly can I resign from them?"
It took Alastair about a week to make the arrangements. He mentioned the possibility of keeping her on as a covert asset, but she was having none of that. Instead, he arranged for her to make some very public distraction as she left Team Rocket. He put her in contact with three other grunts wanting to leave the organization, and allowed them to build a rapport.
And so, a week later, Karrin led the other grunts into... Resigning. The building was a wreck, the admin in charge was killed along with several grunts, the valuable assets the building was there to protect was rendered rather unusable to the Rockets. When Karrin regrouped with the other grunts, she found she was glad no one on their side was permanently hurt. For the first time in her life, Karrin had human friends.
Alastair had the absolute loyalty of Karrin and her friends at this point. He bailed them each out of horrible situations with Team Rocket, and they were made closer to one another in tests blood and fire. He gave them all people who would absolutely watch their back, and gave them the ability to wreck the enemy who had made their lives hell for years. They became an absolute terror, christened "The Turncoats" by Team Rocket. Yes, their lives are still violent and brutal, but they had friends in each other and a boss who actually gave a damn about them.
Pokemon:
Aegislash (Shiro, M)
Togekiss (Thomas, M)
Medicham (Sigrun, F)
Galvantula (Elaine, F)
Crawdaunt (Lara, F)
Arcanine (Mouse, M)
Other: Yes, Karrin is "Jiggly" from Homura's post, and the other people on the boat are the three grunts who betrayed Rocket with her. “Fatso” is Henry “Muscle” Jones, “Stick” is James “Brain” Marsters (“No, I’m not a vampire, where did you get that idea?”), and “Beard” is David “Tongue” Weil. They’re NPCs (albeit rather significant ones), so they’ll probably get more fleshing out as time goes on. But their nicknames are names they decided on for one another. And their nicknames all are pretty clear on their capabilities.

I'm making a double post because stuff needs to be seen, and I'm posting this earlier than I anticipated. A lot happens when I'm rather absent. LONG POST IS LONG.
First off, I'm getting complaints about the rapidness of Team Aqua's posting. People are unable to keep up and they feel incredibly stressed about posting. This, is the biggest 'I did not want this to happen' situation for the WAR RP. It also is against one of the RP Rules:
5. This also includes giving people enough time to reply to things. Rapid fire posting after everyone just to get ahead of another player is incredibly frowned upon and not fair to others. At least wait a reasonable amount of time for another player to post so that everyone can have a fair and fun environment to play in.
Since this is Team RP I'm treating you guys as a unit or single posting entity, the succession of posts from Neo Emolga, Lord Celebi and The Nonexistent Tazz from post 85-92 [and onward in case someone else posts while I'm writing this], is going against this rule, considering you're attacking something against another player and have given them little to no time to respond. That's not cool guys. Slow down your posting rate and give people a chance to reply. These RP boards are not as active as PE2K's. People are trying to post but can't due to constant changes having to be made because people are posting too quickly.
Rapid posting isn't making it fun for other people and I've had complaints about it. This needs to be fun for everyone , and right now people are feeling like dropping out. I did NOT want this situation to happen at all and I an treating it very seriously. If too many people drop out then I will have to change how points will be awarded. Role Play is meant to be a fun environment and I intend to keep it that way.
With that bit out of the way now I'm going to get more in depth with other RP stuff.
WAR Week 2: Posts 70-90
Now this week it's really hard for me to award points because I see issues happening. I will address those in general afterwards.
Neo Emolga: Three points
The Mega Krookodile part was fun to read and the Mega Skuntank part just seemed evil. Janine was fun to read again and much more interesting to read rather than before. The battle seemed believable and people got squished... lots and lots of squishing. Also evil magic thingy. Hoping for some serious Shadowman stuff to go down. As in everything going to hell, as you might not know the game I'm referencing.
XaiakuX: Two points
You get second place as it was a bit of a combined team effort and I saw no problem with what you posted. Post more, I want to see more crazy head stuff happening.
The Nonexitsent Tazz: One Point
The Deoxys bit was nice to read, good use of tension there and it felt pretty realistic in context. An interesting way of getting a Deoxys.
Now this is the part of the post we get to called [I]"Sabi had a hard time giving points because of these reasons" or something because I'm tired and want to get this done before I forget in a few hours. ><
This is aside from what I mentioned earlier: Now what I don't see logical, or even realistic is that you have some ships just sailing in around Johto within firing range of one of the largest cities in Johto... and Johto, who is at war with Kanto, doesn't do anything about it? Nothing? Not even checking out why there are ships that aren't theirs [That would have at least been on the news somewhere, damn ships got stolen people and someone is nosy enough to try and get that out or someone somewhere has to talk about it. You said Hoenn was a super power and you don't just steal a large battleship from said superpower and not have someone go point it out.] just floating into their water space? It's perfectly clear that Johto and Kanto are butting heads at least, but no response at all? I don't see how that's really all that possible. I didn't see any explanation of how those ships got passed either. I don't see how getting ships into warring territory undetected like that is really all that possible. Especially since it has been mentioned there is some military presence around. Even more so considering this is a World War. I also saw nor read any mention of Johto and Hoenn being all cool so... Someone would of had to have seen something. If you can't steal a huge ship without someone seeing you, you definitely can't sail three of them going undetected. These aren't submarines. Even if they were submarines I'd expect more resistance. Something has to change there. Everything that happens has an affect on something.
Also on another note I've been getting some concerns of bias in regards to power. Now I haven't been around much at all in he last week, but I'm going to point some things out. First, Deoxys, seems that was being worked towards from the beginning. That's okay with me since it still seems to be a work in progress. The Ancient Burst Heart clearly has the devil in it. Though, honestly considering how much it was made clear to get an ABH, I felt more effort could have been put into getting it. Something has gotta give here. Team Aqua has a lot of power and the ABH I feel could have had more effort putting into getting it, or at least getting it to work. A lot happened really quickly and it just doesn't feel that right to leave it without saying anything. Now I know it has been a team effort but still, that's a lot.
It's not entirely interesting to read one person just take over stuff with power they accumulated in a quick amount of time. This is only week two and I didn't expect this to happen until week three at the earliest. That is factoring preparation weeks as well. That's my jist of the scenario. Changes gotta happen, so Posts 85-92 are up in the air for some changes.
I want to see something interesting happen in this RP. This goes out to everyone.

Saraibre Ryu, by your latest post, should those playing from Goldenrod bother posting yet, or should we wait for official confirmation/rejection of the unreasonable razing of an entire city?
Saraibre Ryu
07-20-2014, 09:30 PM
Realistically speaking since no one in Goldenrod has moved in a bit, I don't mind people doing catch up posts. It would have taken awhile for those ships to get close to Johto in my judgement. There needs to be some resistance into getting through international waters of a warring country in my personal opinion.
So depending on what you're planning on doing [you can PM me the post] I'd say it's okay since as I said before, no one over there has really moved much at all.

Sabi, I have some disagreements with you and I will take them to PM in a about thirty minutes.
Neo Emolga
07-20-2014, 11:45 PM
First off, thank you, Sabi for the points. And yes, Shadowman is one of the creepiest but also one of the best games I've played. And holy frick, Legion is NOT an easy boss.
Anyway, moving onto other matters.
I would prefer to find some method to keep those posts as they are, because truth be told, Team Aqua members have been heavily planning, coordinating, and executing these operations in a secret and remote location, and this attack was definitely no exception. Since the very beginning, Rust, myself, and the rest of Team Aqua have been extremely determined to bring in our A game and come in swinging. Spinning the clocks back makes it difficult to try and find a way to pick things back up and get back on track again. We figuring it was time to bring in an intense PVP battle and get the spirit of this WAR really into full action.
Now, if we keep things the way they are...
...there are plenty of ways Team Awesome can use and leverage this as an opportunity, whether it's by collecting support and making alliances with powerful, sympathizing NPC factions for reprisal and/or moving to a remote location and strategizing with acquiring combative assets and/or "mystical" relics that might help them get an edge in the next battle. Team Aqua has spent the entire RP doing this. Respectfully speaking, Team Awesome should have been doing it too, but it's not too late, obviously. This is a WAR RP after all, so it only makes sense to be always ready for combat and battles. Needless to say, we wanted to make absolute sure we were ready.
There is also another solution without turning the clocks back...
I would like to make a proposition that I'd rather have Team Awesome organize a reprisal in response to the attack with "consolation" assets of their own. I honestly wouldn't even mind that much if Tazz as Mega Deoxys and our Trinity Armada were suddenly faced with having to fight Team Awesome combat helicopters and bombers that Team Awesome could have yeah, respectfully pulled out of nowhere, but I'd rather have that kind of face-off as opposed to just hitting the rewind button and then be totally stumped about where to pick up from. Because doing that would feel like hey, we can't actually put any of this stuff to use anymore if we're going to be asked to rewind each time we try to use it.
Yes, respectfully, Team Aqua has a lot of power. We spent a huge amount of the entire RP working our tails off for it. We knew there would be battles like this ahead, Team Awesome commands a lot of the best RPers that have ever been on here, and yes, we wanted to be prepared to the max. Team Awesome, sure, I realize they were going about things in a different way, but hey, I think we did make it clear from the start that Team Aqua = total mayhem and carnage. You can't really say no one wasn't warned.
Anyway, I would like Sabi and Team Awesome to think over and consider these propositions before enforcing that posts 85 and onward be recalled. I think there's other ways to go about this that should be given a little thought first.

Neo, the only reason Aqua is at the point it is is because every single one of you has been posting at rates that are utterly ridiculous. We've barely had time to set up, thanks to your team. Your entire post implies that we haven't been trying and frankly is incredibly insulting. Your team got insane amounts of firepower at unfair speed, and I'm not trying to make excuses here. I know for a fact that everyone on Team Awesome has, contrary to your apparent opinion, been doing the best they can and making plans to create an interesting narrative overall, not just build firepower and destroy our opponents' efforts.
I recognize that I am probably being rude, but the rapid fire posting has made this RP so unfair and stressful that I feel that I need to speak out. I have been annoyed with it since day one, and I am very much annoyed that not only is it damaging my team, you are also seeing fit to insult Team Awesome by implying that we aren't trying when the opposite is true. We've also "worked our tails off", but you can hardly expect anything good to come out when the entire thread is choked with Aqua posts coming in too fast to handle.
Grassy_Aggron
07-21-2014, 12:20 AM
I don't mean to be rude, I really don't... But I'm going to be short here.
I wouldn't have an issue with keeping the posts as they are, since, well, yes, we need conflict. Caleb not having internet really bungled us up, I've been trying to set up my own plot story and... it's hard. You guys are posting a lot, sometimes 2-3 times a day per person which is easily like, 6+ posts for Aqua a day. It's great you guys are having fun, but at the same time, it doesn't make me want to post since it gets buried almost immediately or the fact you guys are way ahead. I don't have the energy to post more than once a day if that, and I'm trying to compete in Showdown and creative writing too - which is where a majority of my creativity and motivation goes.
The other issue is you posted so rapidly... we had no time to respond. I was literally sleeping for at least three of those posts, and I wasn't on the computer for the other ones (I keep to a set schedule of when I'm getting on or not. 6 PM EST is the earliest I get on, for future records. Why? I... I like my schedules... >.>'''' ) This attack would have been perfectly fine - aside from the whole "Johto not defending itself issue", those parked Navy ships are probably primed and ready to attack since it is a world war - if we had simply been given time to respond.
"Coordinated from the beginning" is no excuse for completely pushing other team's chances of responding to the side. Two of your posts are three minutes apart. Three minutes. Think about that for a second. Most of them are no more than a few hours apart. I just...nyeeeegh @.@ I'm feeling completely overwhelmed, and I don't want to sound whiny because I DO love the story you are telling and you are great roleplayers, it's just... difficult to do anything with your rapid posting, guys. Even thought my character has been perhaps the only one, besides Bron, to not interact with anyone, it still does affect me.

Velocity, may I ask what an acceptable posting rate is? The RP has run for 21 days so far. The three most active Aquas have the following posting rates:
Neo: 24 Posts Overall = 1.14 posts per day*
Tazz: 19 Posts Overall = .9 posts per day
rust: 13 Posts Overall = .61 posts per day
*Neo frontloaded most of his posts in previous week, however, so his current posting rate is actually probably lower than mine and Tazz's.
Overall, we average 2.66 posts per day compared to our three RPers. Is what you're saying is that a proper posting rate is less than a post per day? I can tell you that Neo and I both work full-time jobs and have very little free time in general. One post per day with our schedules is all we can muster and to me seems like a very reasonable number.

Grassy summed up my complaints nicely. Life happens, and Sabi did say this was a team RP, mentioning that teams should be treated as an entity. One post a day per Aqua member = three posts a day for your team. Most Awesome members are also busy with life, as well as other WAR categories. I have a family and friends that need my time. I have art that I need to spend time practicing on. An acceptable posting rate is one that gives every team, not just yours, a chance to shine.

We have a passion to RP, and respectfully speaking, there is no maximum posting limit set, so we haven't been breaking any rules with that regard. In retrospect, some teams may feel Team Awesome is taking one of the other sections to a ridiculous extent. Us guys on Team Aqua are determined to do as well as we can in the RP and have made it our core focus, and yes, maybe that means giving up attention to some of the other sections, but it's not illegal to do this.
In all honesty, it's not that hard to come out with at least one post at least every other day. Also, prior to the Atlas Shrugged Too Much attack, there's been next to no pressure set upon Team Awesome on behalf of Team Aqua. You guys did have a two solid weeks to prepare with no suppression coming from us. In that same regard, I don't think expecting us to only be able to post once or twice a week is fair. The WAR will be over long before any real action and creamy center is reached. Also, we have been extremely strategic and tactful about this, using communication, teamwork, dedication, planning, and coordination to make our effort strong. Team Awesome should be doing this to if you guys want to be competitive.
Given, you can still have interesting narrative and still be building firepower. We've been trying to do that. In fact, I was penalized in Week One because I DIDN'T do that and I learned that yes, every project and plan needs story, substance, and creativity, or poof, you're not getting points out of it. Trust me, I learned pretty quickly and changed my tactics around.
It's still not too late for you to turn things around and I have suggested means in which you can do so, but I think "dampening" the RP activity is not a good solution.

So can you quantify what you think is an acceptable posting rate as opposed to complaining about how busy you are?

Um... Well I don't mind you guys (Tazz, you, and Neo) posting once a day. I'm only annoyed now because of the rapid posting (and you can't argue it wasn't rapid, for the amount of posts put down as well as the time between them) for an event which concerned us and we couldn't do anything in between. That's where my gripe is. I mean seriously, Harper Industry is pretty much destroyed now and we didn't get a chance to say anything about it. I think the biggest gap of time between your posts was four hours, and I wasn't even online to take advantage of it </3
Heck, I'm not even directly involved still because the hospital hasn't been directly targeted (remember, think of the children inside. That and a hospital is the last place you expect to find competent fighters. They wouldn't be in the hospital otherwise! *Ba-dum-tsh*), but I'd still like to get a post up for reaction as it started.

Velocity, I wasn't looking for a hint. If you have misgivings with the speed at which we are posting, please feel free to suggest what an acceptable posting rate is in firm numbers. There is no way we can come to some kind of consensus on what is acceptable unless we both agree to objective criteria in the form of a standard unit of measure.
Look, if you guys think I'm just being whiny, fine. I'm done arguing; take that how you want. Let this be a lesson for me to never bring up a complaint ever again.
Being passive aggressive isn't going to resolve anything. We have defended ourselves and made an offer to you to keep the RP going. If you are unhappy with it, please make a counteroffer. As a GM, I would like to hear all perspectives and ensure everyone is having fun, which is the goal of the RP.

From my reading of Neo and Tazz's posts, it was a singular teamwork-based attack.

I got that as well, yes. The issue is still that we had no chance at even getting in a reaction post, though. Imagine if we freaked out because, well, freakin' Mega Deoxys is ripping things apart, everyone starts to run around like their heads are cut off. THEN the rail gun comes in, and you can cue more panic. It didn't necessarily have to be a "we attack you back" post, but a reaction post could have added to the drama and at least let us get our characters in on the action in the early stages of the attack rather than waiting for the building to already be demolished before doing so.
Even if said action would be staring out the window and going "Oh, well that's not good." You know what I'm saying?

Then let's negotiate on this point. I think it's important we do this, otherwise we're not going anywhere with this situation. Let's just start with a hypothetical rewind so I know that if this is what we decide upon, there's a distinctive difference between what has happened and what could happen if we turn the clocks back.
Team Aqua's Trinity Armada is approaching Goldenrod City. The attack has not happened yet, but in an out of character sense, you already know what is going to happen and what we have organized to do.
What do you think should happen at this point in terms of a fair response on behalf of Team Awesome? I know it was made clear by Sabi that we should first attack NPC Johto military forces prior to striking Harper Tower itself, I can agree to that, but I want to hear your thoughts (and anyone else on Team Awesome) first. I did come up with a couple proposals that seemed to have fallen in the cracks. IF we rewind, I want to make sure we're not going to be asked to rewind yet again, and I want to make sure the terms are reasonable and we've agreed on it.

Neo Emolga You're welcome. Mega Skuntank gave me... icky feels all over. Was good for... icky feels if they're supposed to feel good.
Okay so there seems to be some confusion with my initial post and what I had a complaint about story wise.
First off, I'm not asking for there to be complete changes, just some. I know you guys have been working hard but that's part of the problem. You guys worked really hard to establish this world and setting and I feel like getting from Hoenn to Johto without something going on is inconsistent, especially with the circumstances. This is my logic for the RP situation thus far:
-The entire world is at war and in Neo's first post, people were being checked for papers going from place to place. That's a lot of security.
-With Johto already established to be at war already, so super tight security no? As a general common sense this-happens-during-a-war-type-deal?
-Boats were stolen from an established global superpower. That kind of incident is gonna get plastered on the media somehow. Hell I'm surprised Norb didn't try to do anything with it. I would have loved that, it would have been perfect coverage for you guys.
I mean, I didn't see a reason written anywhere. As a judge I'm sat here going "Well how the funk does that work?" Considering how consistent it's been so far, I feel like stuff was thrown out the window just in favor of getting something done quickly. I'm not entirely cool with that. Especially from people who I know RP really well. You want to go on and attack the Harper Building then, go do your thing, you've had lots of RP time to prepare, but don't skip anything just because you want to get to something ASAP.
tl;dr I'm looking for a filler in what I think is an inconsistency as a judge. Something has gotta change in explanation of something because, to me that just don't work given it's "WAR. WAR EVERYWHERE.".

I can't say much for my teammates, since I actually only have very little of an idea of what they intend to do to my own character - attempting to dig up dirt, but that won't go well for them. I do think they should be given a chance to get out of the way and analyze the situation, even if it's just a checklist of "What do they have that they are attacking with us, what can we do?" I think, not sure, they are just outside Harper Industries, so if that is getting shot and torn to pieces, they kind of do need a post just to get the fudge out of there. That falling debris likes the taste of human flesh.
My own character and NPC will start initiating a contingency plan. This way I could actually get a decent post in about them setting it up, and then activating it the next post (bear in mind, said plan does NO damage to you guys, so neh), compared to currently where I have to do both... which will likely come out either shoddy and rushed, or ridiculously long.
I realize I'm not much help here, since I can't speak for Caleb or the others too well. And I did read your suggestions, but the issue was just the rapid posting problem and lack of response time, as well as other notable complaints. I don't want your hard work to go to waste, no, but I agree that a compromise needs to be found. I'm trying to look out for my team since, at the moment, they are in rather deep compared to my own character, and I'm trying to think of what is fair for both them and for you guys.
All I can think though is that they really need a good opportunity to get out of the way after the first initial attack (or even just seeing Mevo Deoxys. I'd get out of dodge really quick too, attack or not). I imagine the city will begin retaliating as well, since water forces are not the only thing they will have at their disposal.
...I am really bad at this. I just realized this |D I'm so sorry I'm not helpful...

RUST AND I HAVE COME TO AN AGREEMENT
Okay so story wise in the RP, the agreement is as follows to keep everyone happy:
Aqua will only have to move back to arriving in Johto waters, giving Awesome a chance to respond and retaliate with the Johto navy if they wish. This will also fill in the story inconsistency reason I'm looking for. So anything past post 90 (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?3851-WAR-Role-Play-Terminus&p=99290&viewfull=1#post99290) [as I'm sure you all were still arriving at that point] is currently hasn't happened yet. Wow that was great English, Sabi.
Anyway, with this in mind [this isn't exactly how Rust worded it so I apologize if it confuses anyone] Awesome has a chance to respond appropriately. That way Aqua can keep their want for PvP [I had no intention of impeding that goal] and we can move on with the RP.
I do apologize, I didn't intend for everything to explode like it did.

Neo Emolga Sorry. I was leaving it up to you guys to more or less be somewhat fair XD I'd say no more than 8, but not fewer than 5. Ships tend to travel together and dock together. Really putting me in the hot seat here, huh? XDDD Sorry, I'm not as experienced with WAR RPs in the fact I usually don't put a navy out on people. XD
Hrm, let's see... I'm not sure of the prefix since this is Johto, so perhaps J.N.D. ("Johto Naval Defense")
J.N.D. Water Dog (Yes a reference to Suicune, who is at least HALF dog. Probably a sturdy, moderately fast vessel.)
J.N.D. Tide Changer (Arguably one of the heavy hitters.)
J.N.D. Golden Glider (Captain's brother is the captain of the Silver Scale. Notorious for working together in creative ways with the two ships.)
J.N.D. Silver Scale (^ See above. Neither ship is super large or a warship, but the smaller size and faster speed let's them hit fast and often.)
J.N.D. Thunder Boom (Probably another heavy hitter, is very noisy too. Yes there have been complaints, and no they didn't do much.)
J.N.D. Whisper Shot (Smaller and more accurate, one could say this was Johto trying to make up for Thunder Boom's boisterous attitude.)
J.N.D. Drunkard's Revenge (This one is for you Rust, Neo XD Could be a large warship like Water Dog and Thunder Boom. Three warships with three of yours/Mega Deoxys...that shouldn't be a problem, methinks?)
That's about 7, if you want more just ask. A joke one, probably debilitated and close to being retired, would be "J.N.D. Derpydash". Because who doesn't want to mix MLP in with a Rapidash? B) This thing will probably survive the battle, if included, through sheer dumb luck. I'm not even kidding.
If you want more, smaller ships or even bigger ones to have more fun, just ask. As it is I've given 7 with a "joke" 8th that, if allowed to live, should totally become a running gag for everyone.
"Sir, I see a ship!"
"What is it?"
"...The...Derpydash...sir."
"Aaaw it's so cute. Leave it be. It has holes in its side already."
"How is it floating?"
"Through the magic of friendship, boy."

Look, XaiakuX, we're going to need to come to some kind of consensus here on how the RP works. As it stands, I cannot, as a GM, let you win because that means that the hard work and coordination that Neo, Tazz, and myself spent three weeks working on goes completely down the drain. It will mean that effort is valueless and we can just pull things out of our *** for an equal effect. This RP will devolve into freaking Lookie (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21) and that's it folks, its over. Likewise, if we completely steamroll you, it's going to mean you guys are going to need to start actually looking into R&D and from the sound of it, you guys do not want to do it.
We are at an impasse with this battle and it is going to determine the course of the RP's future. If we do not resolve this dissonance, one faction or the other is going to be very butthurt at the conclusion of the battle. As GM and WAR Leader, I want to nip this in the bud before it becomes a problem.

I had intended to have a conflict with Giovanni before having it out with Team Aqua. Name: Giovanni
Gender: Male
Age: 64
Team: Rocket (Awesome)
Description: Giovanni is a relatively tall man. Although with his age starting to get the better of him, he has developed a bit of a hunch. The lines in his face tell a sad tale. His life has been a sinister story written by the devil himself. He is commonly seen wearing an all black suit, with a bold red R placed over the left side of his jacket. Despite his stature, he is relatively nimble, and strong as a man, and as a thinker. He rarely smiles, and when he does, there's usually a wicked thought behind it.
Personality: Giovanni is a leader. He is a mastermind, and often compares himself to God. His thoughts don't remain thoughts for long. Whether it's immediate, or slow acting, it is certain that his ideas always come to fruition. If his plans fail, or become consistently interrupted, he grows livid. He is impatient in certain aspects, and could calmly wait an eternity in other aspects. Giovanni is best explained as unpredictable and volatile. Whatever he wants, he takes, and he doesn't give up until he gets it, or is rendered unable to continue pursuit.
There isn't a single kind bone in Giovanni's body. Nor is there a caring bone, or unselfish bone. Giovanni is all that matters to Giovanni. Power, control, domination, and power. These are things that Giovanni could bring himself to 'love.' If Giovanni has something to gain, he will even assist his foes against common enemies.
Background: A former Viridian City Gym Leader, and underground crime lord, Giovanni is many things. Since he lost the Radio Tower the hard way, he needed another way in. That's when some young couple bought the tower. This was perfect. He could infiltrate and get everything he needed. He even got them to fork over half the shares. Their trust in a perfect stranger was astounding.
Over the next 20 years would be a fun little project for him. He even managed to have his way with the traveling CEO's lonely wench of a wife. He experimented with the Burst Hearts, finding ways to use them to enhance more than humans. Finding ways to enhance the technology that wouldn't make human errors. Giovanni desired to make the Burst Hearts a weapon that he could use to seize control of the entire world.
Throughout the years, discoveries would be made about these Burst Hearts. They could be modified to work with not only people and pokemon, but the elements. Dangerous elements, and each element would cause an alternative reaction. When combined gases, they would combust violently, and it was otherwise impossible to escape the rapid widespread destruction. When met with various metals and minerals, they melted into liquids, and ate through things of a like make-up. When met with liquids it would immediately evaporate and become nothing at all. There was much to experiment with, and it would certainly take even more years to produce effective weaponry.
Giovanni also found himself with another child named Alastair. While he was forced to play uncle to these miserable cretins to keep up faces, he secretly groomed up Alastair to become his heir. He knew that he was getting old, and had to face the facts that he needed a proper successor. He wasn't about to let Domino take over. But around the time Alastair turned 16, he began to see his own son as a waste of time. So he gave up on the idea of teaching him anymore of his secrets.
Then it happened. The news of an Ancient Burst Heart existing in Johto. This was perfect. He had already weaponized the Burst Hearts in such away that not only could he level buildings and even small towns, he could null the effect of burst stones. With this Ancient Burst Heart, he could bring everyone on this planet to their knees. He had infused the missile systems of his air, land, and sea vehicles with these burst heart weapons. He also had his foot soldiers carry cannons and RPGs with these small rockets infused with these Burst Bombs.
Burst Bombs, the fruit of the labors that ended countless lives under the instruction of Team Rocket. The modified stones were ground into a powder. This powder would be placed into a pod that separated lithium and hydrogen and the newly dubbed burstium. These tiny explosives would easily act as a violent grenade that would leave a chemical compound in the air that would set the lungs on fire upon inhaling the fumes. The burstium would tear a burst trainer and Pokemon apart and kill them separately. The larger ones, as previously mentioned, have the capacity to level a small town, or a city block, as well as cause a little genocide. Anything larger would be too easy to detect, and would send unwanted visitors to Team Rocket's doorstep.
Giovanni's madness, and desire for power turned an unpredictable power source into a violent weapon. He ingenuity didn't stop there. He began to experiment on ways to fuse humans to the actual weapons they carry. Many people died in the process, and because of this, he put the idea aside. However, this managed to catch the ears of Mary and Oliver Harper. It was time to put them down, and abandon Harper Industries.
Since then, he had gone in search of the Ancient Burst Heart. When the scientist was discovered, he... forced the retrieval of the stone, and burned down the home of that scientist. Now the time had come to exploit all of his resources to pick at the potential of this new power source. However, it would take time for it to be processed. It was at this stage that Team Rocket's intelligence intercepted an order to attack Harper Industries. If Team Aqua was going to come to Johto, Giovanni would be there to greet them. If nothing, to prevent them from further meddling in his plans.
Pokemon: Rhyperior, Persian, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Steelix, Swampert.
Other: Yes, Giovanni has an Ancient Burst Heart. No, I will not officially use this until we have earned the right to. As far as Burst Bombs, I will not be using them right now, I'm still experimenting with the actual sciences behind it, so everything that's about to go down will not involve everything in his back story. They'll be a thing much later, but right now, it's just there so I don't forget about it.

WAR Week 3: Post 91 to 110
So it's been a rough week at the start. For me I had a rough week all week, so I wasn't at my best when I started reading. I was kind of worried what was gonna go on but what I read was probably some of the most fun I've read in the RP so far. I pretty much enjoyed everything everyone wrote. This made it hard to give out points again, but in a good way. All the differences were worked out and now we're on a pretty good field. There is creative detail, good writing, nice interaction and just good RPing all around. It was a nice thing to come back to from my crazy week. Due to that though I don't have quite the in-depth comments for each individual, so I summed it up above. Also I'm giving out points a tad differently, because I just could not decide who was the best this week. You were all pretty much on equal grounds be it interaction, getting people going, detailed writing and how well things were set up and written. However for the sake of Rust's MVP OCD I'll point things out below anyway.
Aqua gets 3 points: Neo/Rust/TNT
Awesome gets 3 points: Xaiaku/Grassy/Velocity
Sorry I didn't go into too much detail. I was wracking my brain over who gets points this weekend. So I came up with that conclusion that efforts were tied.

Adding on to Caleb's point, Lord Celebi I fully agree with the big fat god mode thing. I also have more personal reasons for bringing this up...
By all accounts Lenore could find, the Legends fled once Johto came under attack;
Yes, I recognize that it's one little sentence in one SU, easily overlooked. However, Caleb and I had agreed early on that the Johto Legends had fled at the start of the war. Every single one of them, by all evidence, is extremely shy; they wouldn't stick around in a region where their people were turning vicious and they were likely to see their homes get bombed out. We had planned on using their exodus as a plot-driving mechanic later on. The fact that you're effectively claiming Celebi for yourself - on top of all of your other firepower - with no discernible basis other than your outside fanfics is unsettling, too, as it seems to me that canon outside the RP should not mingle with the RP canon itself, Celebi time BS or no. Not to mention that I personally think Celebi probably shouldn't be claimed at all (without concrete limitations set beforehand, anyway) because the time issue does make it a walking godmod, but if it is, that should be something for us Johto people to do (provided we do the work we have to do to earn it, as we would for any other Legend). Hoenn has plenty of powerful Legends on its own, y'feel me?
TL;DR, this Celebi thing is unsettling and feels like an infringement and contradiction on Team Awesome's Johto canon based only upon canon that doesn't relate to the RP.

Guys this isn't my first rodeo with Celebi. Over the eight years I've been writing the character, I've created a very detailed rulebook for how it's powers work and Neo can attest to that.
1. Celebi's time travel powers are based on the many worlds interpretation of time travel. I've drawn from the Doctor Who, Faction Paradox, Transformers, DC Comics, and steins;gate franchise to lay out how it works specifically. Basically, there are an infinite amount of universes out there, each based on an infinite amount of available choices. It means that all fictional universes are parallel universes of each other and I have always written my RP characters to reflect that. I even had this in mind when I wrote the RP's introduction.
This means if I change something in the past, I don't actually change anything, I create a parallel universe instead.
2. I have no intention of doing such time skullduggery anyways. I want Celebi because it is my favorite Pokémon *points to username* and because Celebi and Raidon have always had a fun chemistry that I want to write again. I haven't written for the character in oh... Four years or so and I do miss it dearly. It is a trusted advisor of Raidon's and wouldn't get involved in combat anyways.
3. The outside canon referenced is just a hook. I intend on actually earning Celebi (I've planned the plot progression and everything). Said canon will never have any bearing on anyone else's characters. It is just fun for me to put my characters into a wider perspective and said parallel universes are a part of how Celebi's rulebook works.
4. I had plans for Celebi too. In fact, I mentioned it in my SU as well. In addition, Captain Lando is actually a parallel future version of Captain Finch Reynolds brought back by a future Celebi after the events of the RP. In response to your post that all legends fled Johto's, Celebi could have just teleported back. It has like three or four shrines globally that it hops amongst.
5. If you want a Celebi, feel free to get one. As per my Celebi rulebook there's an infinite amount of them. There was an RP where Mikey had that universe's Celebi and I got a Celebi from a parallel dimension.
6. If you were to get a Celebi, the same rules I am enforcing on myself I would enforce on you all as well. It's the only way to have Celebi involved WITHOUT crazy godmoding bs. Again, Neo can attest to this.
7. Why are we restrictions teams to the legendaries in their regions only? I'm not attached to any of the Hoenn legends. Feel free to take them.
Tl;Dr Celebi is my favorite Pokémon.

Seconding what Rust said.
Celebi is to Raidon as Pikachu is to Ash. It's not something to worry about in terms of god-modding, it's really just because Rust likes Celebi a lot and in the RPs I've had with Rust before, he's never really done anything that off the deep end in terms of god-modding with Celebi. If Celebi wasn't even a legendary, I don't even think we'd be having this problem.
I mean heck, I love Emolga and my character Noah has one. If Emolga was a legendary, would we be in the same kind of situation here?
But in essence, I wouldn't worry about it. Trust me... you've got bigger, badder things to worry about from Team Aqua. ;)

Considering I only got one post in, I am not surprised I won zilch.
Or rather...
I WON NOTHING! YES! I ALWAYS WANTED IT! :P
This is the final week, and I'm hoping to ramp up what I'm doing a little bit more in terms of posting speed (I'm like, 2 posts a week). Question - who intends to participate in the RP even after WAR is over? :P

Me, for one. I have something good planned out, something really good, and this will not turn out like WAR X, where I simply could not find the energy to continue writing after a point. I will see this to it's triumphant conclusion. I think most of Aqua is in agreement on this much.
I REFUSE TO GIVE UP!
Also, this is a Team RP, a competition just as much as the WAR itself, oftentimes a competition on its own in fact, and I intend to see Aqua victorious.

Sorry, guys, but I'm probably going to be ditching. School's encroaching, as is the Augment RP, and the competitive nature of this RP itself is fairly stressful to me in and of itself. I had some somewhat fun plans, but my heart's not really in it. Unless something dramatic changes, there will be no more Lenore. :P

Sweet XD This is going to be one heck of an explosive RP, I think, especially once the pressure is off for points. Gives a bit more leeway to develop the posts and plan. Granted you guys already have a plan, whereas I'm just sort of coming up with ideas along the way XDDDD

Which is what cost us a great deal in this war, just saying.
I apologize for not having posted, recently. I've been a little burnt out on Role-Playing, and writing as a general rule. My creative juices just stopped. While I know exactly what is meant to happen next, I haven't been able to actually write it out. I'm sorry for all that. I'm working on my post now, despite not actually wanting to, I want to see this WAR through until the end.
As far as participating after WAR, if I can manage to juggle this and Augment, then I shall. However I'm not sure as to how heavy a player I'll actually be.

Don't you dare put the blame on me. You just had to have every character linked to yours. You barely planned with us, and when you did it it was about your character or for me to sign up an entirely new character. I've been doing what I can to keep it interesting. Waiting around for Lance to show up is not interesting, and when it was already week 3 and hadn't happened? I'm not waiting around forever.
I wish I had joined Aqua this year. They have a solid plan and are more in the loop with each other. Perhaps it is my fault for not contacting you but you weren't always on, and you do know of my current plan at least. You gave no objection, anyway.
So yeah. Put the blame elsewhere because I want none of it.

Sure, I can do that. I can put the blame on me. I can own the fact that when this WAR RP started I had to move into a new place, and that I had to wait a little while to get internet in my new place. I can own the fact that when I had my plan set in motion, it all fell apart. I should have done things different. Next year you can bet your bottom that I will do things differently. Team Aqua asked for hell, and they got a cake walk. No one involved takes that harder than I do. If you don't want to be on this team anymore, I honestly don't blame you.

Grassy can I like your post? Just sayin, cause I can't on mobile right now. I'm sure you would have been welcome.
Awesome snoozed away about half the point period and got punished hard. It was good and descriptive writing sure, which is what garnered points, but like -nothing- actually happened in those posts. Quite sad.
And Aiku you need to be more active from now on, especially in the non point period. If you want to not have the ancient heart swiped from Geo for inactivity and earn the ability to use it fairly you need to write about it. That and M2 of course. Interested in seeing where you go with that. :)

I feel like this RP is getting way out of hand with all the legendaries. Let's have a look, insinuating that everyone gets their Pokémon:
Rust has Celebi
I have Mewtwo x2
Bron has Groudon
Tazz has Deoxys
Cami has Xerneas and Yveltal
I think it's becoming a wee bit much. To have all of these forces actually fight in one epic battle would probably see the world explode. I mean if that's how we want the RP to end, then I'm all for it.. but I'm just saying. xD

Also apparently Zygarde is a gangster. *Shrugs*

Name: Droctor Amelia Anthony
Gender: Female
Age: 42
Team: This character is joining Aqua
Description: http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/d0/XY_Scientist_F.png
She looks like a typical Scientist, though with differences as outlined below.
Due to not going out very much, Amelia has pale white skin. Her eyes are colored baby blue, and she has long blond hair. She wears a white unbuttoned labcoat over a plain blue t-shirt and black pants with basic white tennis shoes that have a butterfly pattern. Under all that science clothing she is pretty well endowed and possibly has time to work out. We wears glasses. She sometimes caries a smartphone and sometimes a tablet.
Personality: Amelia is intelligent and logical. She prefers solitude to working with others, and believes she is right quite often. She is a bit fanatically loyal to Diabora, though this will probably change over time. She enjoys research and discovering new things. There really isn't much to this character's personality, and it will probably be developed more during the RP.
Background: Amelia is originally from Goldenrod in Johto, long before Aqua partly razed it of course. She was born to scientist parents who were also anthropologists. You could say she was born into the family job. She was a bright child and attended an unassuming "gifted" school in Lillycove in Hoenn, though it wasn't Hebijo, mostly because the school hadn't moved to Lillycover yet. Sshe came back home to attend Goldenrod University and was one of the students who was regularly on the honor roll, graduating with a stellar GPA. She was bullied in school in general for being into books and computers more than being active. Amelia would read a lot into human cultures even while she was young. Eventually she earned her Doctorate degree in the field.
She traveled around the world a lot studying the cultures of different regions to see how they were different from each other. Eventually she came to work in Violet University and was one of the anthropology team deployed to Nasmar people's Fiore Temple where they discovered the ABHs. Understanding that these devices could literally turn the tide of any war, the four scientists separated, each taking an Ancient Burst Heart with them. She hasn't seen her colleagues in a long time and believes them to be dead.
Most recently while collecting data on culture in Lavaridge Town in Hoenn, Amelia stumbled upon a cave where Groudon slept after a battle with it's Rival Kyogre. After nursing the Legendary back to health, it decided to leave the cave with her. She had befriended it and it allowed itself to be caught in a Ball. During this time she didn't have much human interaction and talked to Diabora a lot. Curious about how Diabora was contacting her she decided to research the Burst Hearts to find out exactly how they worked, but she needed funding and resources. Making a deal with a some scientists fired by Petrovich and a small illegal manufacturing firm, she started the Black Market Burst Heart Ring. All she had to do was coordinate the shipping orders, oversee them, and digitally sign them. Otherwise the operation expanded on it's own and operated pretty much without her supervision.
Through trial and error with many broken BHs she figured out how they worked. She had more than enough funding for her research and discovered a flaw in the manufacturing process. The mass produced BHs had a magic catalyst part to them that would wear out. This was due to requiring an ancient spell that the Nasmar people from Fiore had used to get closer to their Pokes. Diabora was more than happy to teach her the correct version of this spell in exchange for her loyalty and devotion. She was convinced that Dr. Petrovich had an incomplete or improperly made version of the spell being used for manufacturing and casted by stupid machines, which is why the biotech microchip that controlled it's activation would wear out and eventually break. Over many months Amelia learned much about the Magitek called bursting from the one she called the Voice of the Heart. She was about to attempt to take apart the ABH in her possession to put it back together when Karai and her squad stumbled into the Under Ruins by tracking the IP address of her computer console.
Proposing she join Aqua in exchange for safety and stable funding, Amelia agreed on the condition that the Voice of the Heart be allowed to test the soon to be new owner of the ABH. She was defeated, though she put up a good fight.
Pokemon: Groudon, though this Poke will probably be taken away. Otherwise none.
Other: This character is a shared player character for Aqua players, though will primarily be written by me.

Name: Doctor Propizio Wasser Te Haurangi, aka Dr. Prop.
Gender: MASCULINE!
Age: 28
Team: AQUA! BECAUSE LAND MEANS LEDGES!
Description: The not-so-good Doctor is a tall one, standing at a intimidating 7-foot-9. He also makes a point to at least work out a little, though sadly it's not exactly giving him even an 'athletic' physique. He's quite deprived of any muscles of note. He's rather lanky and almost noodle-thin, too, so it's best to say that the only sport he'd ever consider is basketball, just due to height. His skin tone is a solid mulatto.
His face includes a rather recessed nose, surprisingly large eyes with large, thick glasses to go with them, curly blonde hair in a small afro, and a patch of stubble on his clefted chin. He's also quite adverse to the idea of not keeping a large pair of safety goggles on his person at all times.
As for clothes, aside from a plain black T-shirt and a doctor's jacket, don't expect much else. He's fairly plain and practical when it comes to clothing.
Personality: First and foremost, he's a bit...Erm. Well, his idea of a good time is quite similar to that of GLaDOS's idea of a good time; testing things! Of course, unlike GLaDOS, he actually prefers things that need testing and doing said testing himself as opposed to just running a super-persistant girl through a series of obstacle courses with the thing he needs testing. Henceforth his particular insistance that he must be the first man to test all of his crazy experiments out. This is in-part a general love of what he does and wanting to see the results firsthand, in-part a requirement due to a lack of friends or generally willing testers, and in-part a result of his absolute hatred of lawsuits. If he does it himself, he won't be sued to infinity by some prick of a tester who may have 'felt uncomfortable' while holding his gun and attempted to sue him for a billion dollars or so.
He's very socially awkward, as well. Some would view him as a total dork, almost charmingly so, what with the way he stutters or apologizes, and he's even clumsy in some cute kind of way (if he's not being fueled by adrenaline). But, mostly, he fails at talking to people on an epic scale, even if it's on his work. To correspond, he typically uses his research notes over his abysmal speaking skills, because at least text doesn't stutter to infinity. It would be hard to tell he actually has such a massive IQ just because of that. This is the reason why most of his Pokemon act almost totally autonomously from their trainer; he simply cannot give orders fast enough to save his life.
There's also his venomous dislike of lawsuits, lawyers and the legal system in general. To put it simply, if there was a single concept he could annihilate from existence, it would be the concept of a lawsuit. He gives his volunteers the decency of knowing that this could be dangerous and the ability to back out of the project; is that not enough? Most everywhere, that's not the case, and he hates it. If something is dangerous and you don't want to risk it, don't risk it, because if it were up to him you wouldn't get a penny in compensation because you came in KNOWING there were risks! Part of the reason he backs Aqua (aside from them saving his rear end from physically abusive pirates) is because he'd want to see the world where his livelihood only depends on him making awesome things, and to be able to ignore how people are pissy over the fact that the dangerous experiment turned out to actually be dangerous. That's like suing over hot coffee being hot, and he finds the idea of it ridiculous. He's got faith in Raidon, true, but the real reason is because he KNOWS he'll get the ability to experiment freely without fearing the law clamping down on his teeth for it. For that matter, he also basically hates any obstacle to true free experimentation, so certain religious nutters who would be quick to say 'You're disgracing Arceus?' Yeah, he's not a fan of those guys either. Just don't get him wrong, he actually does figure in safety features, as much as reasonably possible. Indeed, that he's typically reasonable in that regard makes him hate those people who ignore that he's being cautious to tell him that they're going to sue his pants off even more.
He also really doesn't like influential people who just throw money at their problems to make it go away. See, his failure at job-hunting, even as his pedigree and knowledge were proven fact time and again, was almost totally because of his inability to speak in coherent sentences. They did not even give him a shot, no matter what it was. He was quite uncaring of the fact that he'd inherit a company worth billions of dollars that would undoubtedly keep him happy throughout his whole life; that he couldn't even get a minimum wage job at a fast food place was insulting. He's become a bit of an objectivist as a result; he's not a fan of people who don't actually work at getting what they want and 'cheat' with money or, far worse, just having connections to the right people.
Getting past all of that, though, at his core he's just a fairly cool guy who just kind of wants to make ridiculously awesome stuff and have people appreciate his work and him for it. He's not a massive a**hole. He just wants to make awesome things. Is that wrong?
Background: Propizio grew up a VERY privileged life in Castelia, Unova, as the only son of Helto and Veronica Te Haruangi (Yes, Te Haruangi is a single word in this case), the billionaire owners of the popluar Unovan Company 'Madman's Brilliance,' or just MB for short, the minds behind the first Crosstranceiver in Unova and the Unovan rivals of Devon and Silph companies. He lived in a massive high-rise building to parents who could afford to pretty much give him anything. Rich beyond most people's wildest dreams, it was doubly safe to say that, in order to KEEP this massive amount of money consistent, they barely saw much of their son, always attending business meetings or shaking hands with important people. Knowing that leaving their only son with minimal contact with actual, human parental figures was a Very Bad Idea™, Propizio's parents saw fit to leave their only son with his grandparents, who were close enough to take him and quite happy to do so. Unfortunately, they were the kind to also be very busy themselves with workouts and clubs, and they couldn't drag Propizio where they were going most of the time, as they quickly realized. They were also quite unaware that leaving the young Propizio without actual human parental figures was a Very Bad Idea™, so instead one of his grandmothers saw fit to leave him with a babysitter in the form of Sakura, her Lilligant.
This would have been an unbelievably stupid idea in any other circumstance, it must be said. However, Sakura proved to be up to the task flawlessly, with a sharp caution, good intuition, and basically every last trait a regular mother would need. Propizio himself grew up almost totally normal, ignoring the oddity that his most consistent parental figure was effectively a plant. The one issue was that, for reasons of bonding and loyalty that all Pokemon are quite prone to, Sakura eventually refused to leave Propizio alone, forcing his grandmother to 'give' Propizio the Lilligant as his first Pokemon. Doubly fortunate for the growing boy, Propizio's mother actually managed to retire early, giving him the direct attention from a human being he would need in far more quantities. He never saw much of, nor cared for, his dad, though.
Propizio, as a young boy, was not as interested in Pokemon as everyone else, partially because he already got a full-grown Lilligant who seemed to dote on him...A little too much for his tastes. He captured and evolved a few Pokemon of his own in time, sure, but he was more devoted to his grades anyways, on the behest of his parents. He attended all the fancy, high-brow private schools, and even managed into the Castelia University, the single most prestigious college in all of Unova, and one of the most prestigious in the world. His grades were phenomenal, and he graduated the unambiguous valedictorian of his High School and of his College. Many attributed his success to his abnormal way of thought; oftentimes he was known for highly unusual, yet incredibly innovative methods of going about problems. Others attributed it to his knack for seeking teacher viewpoints in every problem, even those he already got, and using the many answers he got to solve complicated problems that even others around his IQ level would struggle at (and his IQ was about 269). Still others cited a simple 'do it yourself' mentality he developed over time, starting with a simple prefernce to building blocks, growing into a love of creating things that moved, and then into participating in (and winning) robot fighting competitions (A-la Battlebots). His parents were unambiguously proud of their son, and why wouldn't they? This guy could do anything.
Of course, he didn't lack his oddities; For starters, his social circles were fairly small in stature, as he mostly focused on building new things or occasionally interacting with his own Pokemon. He had known and stated dislike of the high ethnical standards of his home region, as well; He believed that, thus long as sufficient warning and an opportunity to back out was given, he felt that any experimentation should be legal on volunteers and exempt from any attempts at suing. For that matter, lawsuits in general earned his ire, as it seemed that people would sue over ANYTHING. He attempted to send in bills to the government that helped his viewpoint, but they unsurprisingly failed to even get to the House of Representatives. Unsurprisingly, this developed into his habit of being the primary tester of all of his gadgets, and thus immune to his own side effects, and his disinterest in obtaining another PhD in Biology, or even dabbling with medicine, where any undocumented side effect was asking for lawsuits. Nevertheless, when he graduated from college, he decided to start job-hunting, which, despite his immense potential, was still tricky in Unova. This also got his ire, big time. He did NOT understand why he, a guy with not only natural intelligence but also talent and intelligence, could not even get a basic 'fry cook' job at the local fast food place just because he was kind of socially awkward.
Unfortunately, being the singular heir of a massive company, the Unovan equivalent of Devon and Silph...Well, this put a target on his back by those of far less fortune, and a life-changing event would set his course on a far less coveted path than what he or his parents intended. In short, while on a short walk that coincidentally took him through Narrow Street, thugs ambushed him. The 'thugs' turned out to actually be pirates-the very ruthless modern kind-and the instant they recognized the 7-foot-9 genius heir to MB, they took a chance and kidnapped him. It worked perfectly; one of the few things he didn't know were effective self-defense, and all of his Pokemon were in their Poke Balls, which made a quick few strikes to the head from a Machamp all it took. They took their new catch and dragged it off to their boat, and sailed FAR away from Castelia, into International Waters, close to Hoenn. With every precaution they could possibly take to ensure they would not be found by the law, they posted their demands: They had kidnapped the son of MB's owners and wanted 5 billion dollars for his safe return.
Propizio was utterly terrified. He had not been in any kind of situation like this before, and definitely did not have the tools to prepare for it. He vowed to himself two things: First, he would escape, somehow. He COULD swim, though not fantastically, and he had a Water-Type Pokemon as well, though he was no Pokmeon Battler and any chance he had of defeating the well-trained and armed pirates were minimal. Two, when he DID escape, he would train himself in self-defense, in some form. Adrenaline surged through him every time he attempted to emulate macgyver and build a tool to fix his problem, fixing his innate clumsiness. Unfortunately, the pirates kept too close of a watch for this to ever work, and they punished him with physical beatings every time. Famished, thirsty and typically in pain in several places for over a month, he eventually gave up, figuring his parents would eventually cave in to the demands or the police would eventually find them.
The ultimate outcome was...Somewhat different. One night, he awoke to the sounds of gunshots, and one of the pirates grabbed him by the scruff of his coat, put a pistol to his ear, and dragged him to the deck, where the rest were engaged in a shootout with the soldiers aboard an Aircraft carrier. The man he was being held hostage by was anticlimatically shot right in the head almost instantly after coming out, saving Propizio. The Aqua's had not been around for long, and were still happy to take anyone aboard they could as part of the crew; Propizio, all too happy to have been rescued from the very cruel pirates, were happy to join the ranks of Team Aqua, even if they were ALSO pirates and only did it because his captors simply did not plan on being found at all.
Ever since, he had tirelessly worked with the rest of Aqua's scientific heads in the 'Skunkworks.'
Pokemon:
- Mitocon the Reuniclus: The first Pokemon he ever caught, Mitocon is obsessed with the crazy inventions Propizio comes up with. He approves of basically anything a mad scientist would approve of. Dr. Prop has a distinct appreciation for Mitocon's appreciation of his work, and is generally his right hand when it comes to working on things that require muscle mass. His Ability is Magic Guard.
- Seraph the Shedinja: The abandoned shell of a Nincada, owned by a Trainer who accidentally allowed it to flee, Propizio managed to find it lurking in some woods and caught it easily. It's extremely stoic, patient, and typically prefers efficiency above all else. It's loyalty to Dr. Prop has not been truly tested, but thus far he's kept to any direct orders he's been given. His Ability, natch, is Wonder Guard.
- Sakura the Lilligant: First owned by his grandmother, Helena, Sakura has developed a motherlike relationship with her 'son,' and said relationship is extreme in nature. She refuses to leave his side and willing to injure anyone who separates the duo. She'd murder Arceus if the thing ever bothered to threaten Dr. Prop. Propizio considers her extreme over-protectiveness exceptionally annoying, but otherwise treats her exceptionally well. After all, Sakura IS the one who raised him from birth to the age of six. Her ability is Own Tempo.
- Annabeth the Swanna: Caught while on a business trip to Driftveil, Annabeth WAS the leader of a flock of Swanna. She did not forget this, either. Always wanting to show off, she's only loyal to Dr. Prop on the basis that she's given lots of attention by him, which is exactly what she wants. She'd be brilliant in contests, that's for sure. Her ability is Hydration.
Other: His ability to fight back in hand-to-hand combat is on the level of civilians. To make up for this egregious weakness, he's trained himself in skillful gunplay, capable of handling most non-specialist weapons with ease. His lineup of weapons includes Pistols, SMGs and light assault rifles of all varieties, and he's got limited training with sniper rifles and shotguns. His realms of knowledge primarily involve mechanics with a nice and shiny PhD just for it, though he also has a Masters in Biology and took some honors courses in Anthropology. As of right now, he is considered dead due to the pirate's sudden disappearance, something Propizio hadn't given much thought to. Either way, his extreme fortune is unavailable in any manner.
What better way to start the end-of-point-period madness than make another character?

So we've got a medical doctor (Claressa), an anthropologist (Amelia), a crazy mad scientist (Janine), and now we have a super mechanic (Propizio).
All we're missing is a Pokemon expert and Dr. Who, and we're all set!
(I'm working on a post, apologies for delay. Been super stressed the last few days, but I can now say that I passed my driving test so YAY.)
