Mobile: Spoilers don't open, We Are Elite skin has double the space sideways

Might be a known issue. I'm currently posting from my phone using the actual mobile skin. While I can see something has been put in spoilers, clicking to show it has no effect whatsoever.

Will this ever be fixed? It's known about, right?

Secondly, the Kyogre skin has extra unnecessary horizontal space to the right of everything when viewed on a mobile device using desktop mode. It displays fine on actual desktop browsers, I think. Might be true for other skins, but I only tested that one.

Is this a known issue?

I believe we are encouraging the use of the Tapatalk app on mobile devices, rather than trying to make all our themes mobile-compatible. This isn't really my area of expertise, but I'll pass it on. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm not paying money to use forums. Mobile skin or desktop is only option. Please fix the mobile skin at the very least guys.

Tapatalk is free too. (Or at least there is a free version as well, since I have it and have used it and I refuse to pay for apps. xD)

It's fine here. I've passed it on to our design people and I/they let you know if we have the resources to fix it right now. :)

bronislav84 - Tapatalk is certainly free. It might insert an ad as a banner, which is unobtrusive. Can you give me more details on your mobile device so I can try to reproduce the problem. Your upgrade choice leads me to believe that you're on Android, but I need, at minimum, a device name + browser you're using.

I will say that I'm not going to support skins on mobile devices trying to run the desktop. That's a limitation in vbulletin and skin makers. I do want to track down the spoiler issue.

I know it doesn't work on my Android, either. LG Optimus 4 (I think 4) + Chrome, and I think the OS is the "Jellybean". Hope this helps a little bit, at least?

Mobile skin is completely messed up now. Whatever happened, please revert it. It looks horrible now. I'd rather have the old one than this one with messed up layout and no images for buttons.

IIRC spoilers work on Serebii desktop version, but don't work on Wildstar RP desktop version. Maybe lift some code from Serebii?

Now the forum looks like this on my phone, and I can't switch pages.

EDIT: Fully force closing and reopening the browser seemed to fix it, but none of the normal expected forum images were loading.

Okay:

To the spoiler issue: there's not a lot we can do until someone invents a new javascript code that will work with mobile chrome/safari/dolphin. :( It's not a super simple fix because such a solution needs relatively identify the correct div. I've searched, and theres not much of a solution. If you're capable, I do suggest switching to Tapatalk, which has full spoiler support.

And I see your issue, but the mobile skin is totally out of my hands... :\ the 'force shutdown' tells me that Dolphin is the culprit, but without further details, I can't be sure. The mobile skin is the vB default...

I see. So it can't be fixed and I should just install yet another app on my phone just for forums. Eh, not an ideal solution, but considering I don't use it much and spoilers aren't rampant, I can give up using them really. Thanks for trying though, ray.

I will report the issue to Dolphin and see if they can fix this. Thanks for trying anyway!

Good news is, spoilers aren't too much of an issue, at least, and there is Tapatalk. Now that I have an SD card in my phone I can always download that should my laptop break or it becomes a huge issue :P

Am I the only one here who uses the desktop skins on my mobile? I got an iPhone 4S and I find the desktop skids better that the mobile one, even though you gotta do a fair bit of navigating.

Comatose I don't know if you didn't read the thread very well or what, but I have been using desktop then switched to mobile on my phone. So of course people use it. Spoilers don't work on that either.

bronislav84 - As I said before, this seems to be endemic to a lot of forums, so a quick fix is not really feasible, especially since there are viable alternatives that work better, such as Tapatalk. I don't see much hope for the mobile platforms at this point.

I really don't mind not having spoilers. This was more about bringing to the attention of the staff to see if maybe something could be done. I browse too many forums and not all support that app for it to be viable. Either I have to use yet another app to view all features of dome forums, or I can just forget about the features and view that post at home Not being able to see spoilers is a necessary evil I guess.
