Digimon started off innocent enough, an online game created by the once obscure Iband. Within a short period of time, the game was drawing in countless users and was translated in a few different languages, further perpetuating its popularity. Over the next few years, cards and Digivices were released; players connected them to their computer and could physically swipe them and get one step closer to being a real Tamer…

Needless to say, fans were crazy excited when IBand announced they had plans for Virutal Reality. There was much at stake here, the project was very expensive and fear of failure was high. Being a risk taker, however, the CEO was hopeful success was within reach, which would bring in lofty profits. Sadly, things did in fact hit many snags and was taking much longer than expected.

In order to avoid losing too many players, a major patch was introduced, featuring fusion Digivolution. At first, things went smoothly and people stayed fairly interested in the Digimon game. However, not long before the Virtual Reality unveiling, something went very wrong…

Choasdramon should not exist. When testing new fusions, this monster was created, and the mistake was glaring. The game experienced minor but notable glitches from that moment onward, and removing Choasdramon’s coding proved impossible. Staff had no idea what to make of it, and some suggested taking the game offline for repairs. However doing that so close to revealing the Virtual Reality device after so much time, energy and money was put into it was swiftly rejected. Too risky, they said.

Nobody could have predicted what happened on that day, a day IBand and Digimon fans had been looking forward to for so long. The machine was turned on; blacked out for a moment only for a glithy code to on the screen…

From there, the device proceeded to make a sharp zapping sound and in a show of lights and pixilated effects, a Digimon appeared, right there in the convention centre. Needless to say, that ToyAugmon caused an incredible commotion and roused both excitement and panic from the audience. However, little did anyone know, that was only the beginning…

It seems that whatever happened to the Virtual Reality device tore a hole into the barrier separating the Digital World from Earth. The ToyAugmon at E3 was waved as a publicity stunt to avoid creating panic and confusion. IBand, government agents and select elite programmers worked around the clock to find a way to deal with the monsters that had already escaped the Digital World and to prevent more from appearing. At the same time, it grew increasingly hard to cover up Digimon sightings and the damage some would make.

Not all the digital monsters that came to the human world were bad, however. More than a few players of the Digimon game found their Digivices shaking, glowing and generally not acting as it should. Access to the game had been cut, leaving many wondering what was happening. Those who kept their spazzy Digivices were in for something special; their own Digimon had crossed to the real world to meet up with them. Some took it… badly, but there were those who relished being able to have their own real digital partner. Of course, keeping them hidden from the authorities proved important, for potentially lethal creatures whose existence was constantly being masked falling into the hands of the general public (especially children and teenagers) was not likely going to jive.

Lately, it seems the Digimon appearing are getting bigger, stronger and more dangerous. At the same time, small but notable groups of Tamers have been using their Digimon in “less then honorable” ways. It’s only a matter of time before cover-ups will no longer be able to hide the existence of digital monsters in our world.

Critical questions remain. Does Choasmon have any involvement in these events? Is there something more sinister waiting around the bend? Will the government’s team’s newest plan be more effective then the last? And of course… what will YOUR role in this story be..? Only one way to find out…

-As officials are attempting to cover the existence of Digimon, accurate information relating to the situation is very hard to come by. Any knowledge on the topic is rare, actually. Most reports on Digimon are in attempts to debunk claims they’ve been spotted or exist.

-It is worth noting that the higher the form a Tamer’s Digimon reaches, the more the Tamer feels the pain their partner receives in battle.

-Please do not Godmod /Powerplay. You are not invincible, threatening enemies do not go down in one hit, and dodging every single hit is almost always impossible. As mentioned in the “Important Notes” section, information pertaining to the Digimon situation is scarce at best; you shouldn’t be a fountain of knowledge in this area.

-Please avoid bunnying. Taking control of someone else’s character in any way is not allowed. However, if you have permission to do so, there’s no problem.

-Please be respectful to everyone at all times. We’re all here to have fun and forge a story, not to insult and attack each other. If someone has done something you don’t like, please address in a polite manner.

-To avoid confusion, we’ll be including a header in every post with our character names and our locations.

-If you are unable to post for an extended period, or have to leave the RP, it would be greatly appreciated that you let us know by posting in this thread or by PMing me.

-Posts should be two paragraphs minimum, though making them a little longer would be great. However, don't worry about making posts very long. It's better to be able to post shorter posts on a regular basis then rarely being able to post because it takes too long to write a huge post. I cannot stress this enough. *For those of you who are interested, but are unfamiliar with Digimon terminology (or just need a refresher), I’ve put together a mini-glossary to clarify some of the lingo*

(Please note that I use some of Digi Wiki’s definitions with edits. Also, I have altered some of the original definitions to fit the RP. )

Digivice: Short for “Digital Device”, this gizmo grants a Digimon the ability to Digivolve and is held by Tamers. The Digivices used in the RP, the D’Arc, can be used with Modify Cards.

Tamer: A person who wields a Digivice and has a Digimon partner.

Digi-Modify: This term refers to the act of temporarily altering a Digimon’s abilities via the use of Modify Cards. Gaining an extra attacks, receiving a speed boost or being granted wings are just a few examples of what Modify Cards can do.

Digivolution: Basically, evolving. By Digivolving, Digimon reach more powerful forms and are able to challenge tougher foes. Listed below are the six main stages a Digimon has

Fresh: The lowest form, which newly hatched Digimon hold. They are unable to speak fluently, and like Pokemon, are limited to saying their names.

In-Training: In-Training Digimon are capable of fluent speech, and although they aren’t very strong, their small size makes them easy to conceal. Exhausting battles cause a Digimon to revert back to this stage.

Rookie: Most Digimon are typically found in their Rookie forms. Although their size can vary, many Rookies are small enough, and being in this stage makes them far less vulranble then an In-Training. After most fights, a Digimon will revert to this form.

Champion: Champion Digimon are noticeably stronger then Rookies. However, they tend to be much larger and this form is harder to hold then the previous ones.

Ultimate: Yet another power boost is achieved when reaching the Ultamite level. Few Digimon are able to remain at this stage for extended periods of time.

Mega: In most cases, there is nothing more powerful than a Mega level Digimon. Reaching this stage is incredibly difficult, and only the strongest can attain and maintain it. Bio-Merging, DNA Digivolution and other special methods are required to reach this form.

Bio-Merge Digivolution: This special mode of Digivolution sees the Tamer and their Digimon merge together to become one. The resulting Digimon is always a powerful Mega, but it can only be achieved in the Digital World.

DeDigivolution: The act of reverting back to a lower form. For example, if a Champion goes back to its Rookie stage, it has DeDigivolved.

Crests: These are the symbols of the traits embodied by special Tamers.

Name: Tyler Phoenix, nickname - Ty or Phoenix
Age: 19
Gender: Male

Appearance: Tyler is a rather ‘different’ person in appearance to what some would call the ‘average joe’. Standing at 5’11”, he has a very lean frame, only weighing in at 47kg. Although not very muscular, he holds himself with a strong stature and still shows physical strength in motion and action. He has a ghostly pale complexion and a dark grey eye colour that is contrasted by his deep crimson hair. With a small pointed nose and quite pointed ears, he usually gets an odd glance at first look. With his thin frame and slightly wide shoulders, Tyler’s clothes tend to hang off of him a bit from the odd proportion, being able to fit into a small/medium man’s top chest size, but no less than a large/extra-large due to his shoulders. His shoe size is a size 9 (UK Size) and his waist width is 28-30 inch. Tyler's hair is medium length and a spiky, with a small spiky fringe. His hair is very tufty and often looks like he has bedhead, but he isn't too bothered by it.

In terms of clothing, Tyler usually dons a black tee, with red highlighting in the shapes of the Digital Hazard symbol across one side of it, and he wears loose-fitting black three-quarter-length trousers, held in place by a black and white checkered belt. He normally also dons a pair of black, red and white converse trainers, with the Green Day logo emblazoned on the outer side of the shoe. On his left wrist, Tyler has assorted wristbands from various medias he likes, ranging from music and gaming to festival entry and expo bands. He usually wears black and grey striped fingerless arm-gloves too, extending to just below his elbow. He is also rarely seen without a medium-length pure white scarf which he usually wears so it blazes behind him in the wind. When still, it is a clear contrast of the red and black he dons as the majority. FInally, he wears a black bandana, which he hides beneath his spiky fringe.

Personality: Tyler is at heart a geek and a little bit of a bookworm. An avid artist and musician, he doesn’t go far without his trusty harmonica or sketchbook, and is one to pause a game while playing on single-player for sake of taking a photo or doing a quick sketch of something that has caught his eye. He is passionate about music in general, creating his own music on some software he has, using the keyboard, harmonica and keyboard he has. He is a big fan of rock and punk music, but likes music in most genres here and there. He’s also one to get lost in a book and suddenly realise it’s almost morning and he’s been reading all night (often leading to a tired Tyler drinking excessive amounts of coffee or energy drinks in the morning). With his heart set on gaming, manga, reading and playing both his harmonica and acoustic guitar, Tyler is quite the introvert, preferring to spend time talking to friends online than the people around him, both out of fear and distraction of face to face contact and a general feeling of acceptance online, especially since he started playing Digimon. As a final note, Tyler takes martial arts as a way of trying to focus and grow in confidence – he has taken taekwondo since he was a young boy, and has taken ninjutsu in more recent years.

To the average person, Tyler is very shy, often tripping on his own words and fumbling sentences or stammering. His appearance, a kind-of cross between a gamer, ‘emo’ and ‘skater boy’ also often leads him to being jibed at, although he isn’t bothered by this particularly. It’s only in class where he finds himself distracted by comments, although university has been far kinder to him with his previous schools. Tyler does try and interact with people when he feels more confident or is around people with common interests, and does have a small friend group despite his introvertedness. However, as much as he is shy, Tyler is prone to streaks of anger and aggression, especially if someone pushes him when he isn’t in a good mood to begin with. He can be quite snappy, and is sarcastic and blunt to those who offend him, often further sparking the issue by provoking them back and retaliating. He isn’t afraid to defend himself, but he knows he pushes himself into situations where he has to when he gets too courageous or too overworked in defending his friends, himself or just stepping out of line and not knowing when to back down.

History: Tyler is a university student living in the LA area, who moved to study in America from the United Kingdom aged 14. Despite struggling to adapt with his family’s move, once he settled, he quickly picked up where he left off and got into college, studying Digital/Multimedia Art as his Major. Prior to his move to America, where his life has been relatively straightforward and incident-free (other than the death of a beloved pet dog, Sandy), Tyler’s life in the UK was tough. He grew up in a time of uncertainty, with a lot of riots in the area he lived, and a high crime rate meaning his young childhood wasn’t the greatest, with the streets a labyrinth of fear, gangs and graffiti. With his father almost constantly away in LA on business work, and his mother busy with her own work schedule, Tyler spent most of his time being looked after by his older brother. With a lifestyle that was less than desirable, being part of a gang and a regular drinker and drug abuser, Tyler’s older brother often left him to his own devices, hence he furthered his pursuit to play instruments well and paint well – he would often sneak out of the house during the day and busk in the town centre to make himself some money, which would then go on junk food, snacks, new art materials and video games. He would, on occasion, ‘help’ his brother acquire what he wanted for an easier life – although it meant being sneaky and very subtle in his movements and actions, he often succeeded. It was only his father’s decision to leave the UK and set up a long-term home in the USA that posed the question to Tyler’s family as to whether he should move to LA to live with his father on a permanent basis or remain under his brother’s care. Although Tyler was due to start his GCSE’s the next year, it was decided it would be beneficial for him to move for multiple reasons, one being that Tyler would be able to stay in one place of education through to college/university. With that, and a few complicated decisions on selling the house, goodbyes to friends and family, and a fair amount of persuasion from Tyler’s parents to convince him, the packed his bags and moved to live with his father in his small house in LA, where he settled in, and has since settled into his college dorm.

Crest: Courage – Although he is an introvert and a loner, Tyler has the Crest of Courage for three reasons. Firstly, he will always stand up for himself and those around him against any foe, be they another college student or an armed robber. Secondly, when he ends up in a situation where the odds are against him, he won’t give in; he will keep fighting. Thirdly, he has courage in that while he is introverted, he doesn’t allow being alone to sadden him, he has the bravery to keep on fighting for what he wants even if he has to do it all as a one-man show.

Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Sable is 5'6 and is about 110 ilbs. She has long dark brown hair that borderlines black that reaches all the way down her back, but is often hidden under the sweater or vest she is wearing. There are streaks of orange, pink and purple on her bangs which are often side swept to the right side of her face. Her eyes are a greenish brown and she's often seen wearing a plaid cap on her head. She wears a dark grey sweater with zippers on the shoulders of the sleeves of which she can remove or reattach whenever she feels like it. She commonly changes the t-shirt she wears to different colours corresponding to what day of the week it is, and wears navy slacks and a pair of white and purple runners. She is always wearing a blue, black and grey backpack on her back, with a strap support for carrying a scooter she almost never leaves home with. There are also roller blades carried with her as well, if Signia and Rift aren't sitting in the bag in Babydmon form. She often wears wrist guards that are also black.

Personality: Sable suffers from mild schizophrenia seemingly fused with bipolarity. Usually she is very upbeat despite offhand shyness towards meeting others for the first time that she hides with social awkwardness. She doesn't know how to not be herself around people, but this is mostly due to being home schooled. The girl sometimes has a hard time knowing when to stop talking and is easily caught up in the energy of those around her, sometimes making her rather unstable. Her very outgoing nature make her a combination of reckless and fearless to the point where you really wonder if she's going to jump the two buildings across the street from you with no safety equipment. She is fond of parkour, rollerblading and her folding scooter she carries around with her almost at all times. She speaks her mind, which is both a pro and a con for her, but when it comes to her own problems, she refuses to talk about them whatsoever. She feels the need to fix her problems and only she can fix her problems and no one else should help, no matter who they are.

Sable's darker side is completely quiet, blunt and brutal in wording, even with the characteristic of her giving someone a pet nickname before berating them. Her solemn wording and brute action that almost seems cruel to others, isn't triggered often but sometimes comes out much to Sable's unknowing. Sable has no memory of her other personality, or what she does or says. Few things will revert Sable back to normal, but either cases, neither personality would willingly hurt someone. That is someone familiar and of friend relations to normal Sable. This side of Sable is often referred to as just 'Black' and very rarely comes out in full force. Often certain behaviors or actions towards other people will trigger such a change.

Both are impulsive and act on a dime, change their mind on a dime and are capable of expert improvisation. Sable often comments she's full of bad ideas, but is still alive today.

History: Sable has been in and out of the house for various medical emergencies during her childhood. She has been in a coma a few times and doctors think that may have attributed to her odd mental disorders. As such she was a victim of bullying in school and was pulled out for homeschooling shortly before high school. As a selectively lazy person, Sable found the best ways to do her work as quickly as possible in a proper fashion, so that she could go out and do what she liked. For her studies, Sable was given a very high end laptop and desk top, of which she spent her time on if she wasn't outside doing tricks on her roller skates or scooter. While up late at night doing said research, her computer was attacked by a malevolent virus of unknown origin. Sable was distressed as she had always taken every precaution to prevent her electronics from getting infected. What was weirder was that the computer seemed to solve itself after inputting various shut down commands, without shutting down.

The next morning, she found herself asleep at her laptop, and an egg wiggling around her hardwood floor in her room. It rolled around and around until it nearly exploded in her back closet, revealing two Babydmon with their tails tangled. Unphased by the two creatures before her, she promptly untangled them and started taking care of them for the next little while. After some time it was brought to her attention that the twin dragonic beings were Digimon, and she had her own Digivice. Completely ecstatic, she kept the information to herself but discussed about Digimon in small, closed knit groups online. She found a small network of other people who had Digimon, one of them including her aunt that she was living with. She promptly gave her Digimon nicknames upon their first evolution, naming the more feminine one Signia and the more masculine one Rift. Since Sable has had Digimon, her mentality has been much more stable. This helps with coping with the fact her parents constantly traveling, and her changing homes every few years. Sable had recently moved to LA while visiting it with her Aunt to try and see what more is going on about Digimon in the world.

Name: Timothy "Tim" Wolfe
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance: Tim is somewhat short for a young man his age, standing at exactly 5'4". It upsets him greatly when people bully him for his lack of height. Despite seeming weak and fragile, he is actually stronger than he looks. He has an athletic build and is physically fit due to having lived in a small town all of his life, and spending a lot of time running around outside. He spends a good amount of time in the sun so his skin is lightly tanned as a result, not pale but not bronzed either. He has messy black hair on top of his head, and his bangs go to his eyebrows. He has big brown eyes, a small nose, and a round "Babyface", which give him a youthful appearance. His face is clean-shaven, and his upper body is free of any hair except the top of his head and eyebrows.

Tim prefers to dress simply and casually. He doesn't want to have to fuss with his clothes, or worry about ruining them, as well as being comfortable in them. His usual outfit usually consists of a T-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. His favorite shirt is a loose-fitting dark blue and white striped T-shirt. He wears a pair of khaki cargo shorts on the bottom that are held up by a black leather belt. His footwear of choice are a pair of comfortable grey sneakers and short white socks. He carries a blue backpack to store whatever essential items he might need to have at the moment.

Personality: Tim is a timid and quiet individual by nature. He was always this way, and being bullied as a kid didn't help. He is very sensitive, and he fears being bullied. He usually speaks with a quiet voice, and occasionally a stutter when he's nervous. He also becomes very apologetic when someone shows any hint of being upset. He has a thing for animals, and he usually prefers being with animals than with people. Animals will listen without judgement, and only expect a little kindness in return. He is gentle and softspoken, which seems to be the reason why he has such an easy time with animals. He gets scared easily, his worst phobia being stage fright. He gets really nervous when having to speak or perform in front of an audience. He really wants to be the brave, but it's harder than it looks.

Despite being shy, he is by no means antisocial. If you talk to him, you'll find he's quite friendly, and polite. He can laugh and make jokes like any other kid. He is always happy to have to new friends, because his shyness makes it difficult to make them. He is very affectionate and loyal to those he likes. He hates it when people are angry around him, so he tries his best to keep the peace. In conversations, he is usually more of a listener than a talker, and he has no problems being a sounding board when someone wants to vent (As long as they don't hurt him.) Tim is very kind to others, often to a fault. He is very trusting of people, and is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tim is usually very difficult to anger, and is very quick to forgive someone when he does get mad. However, during the times when he is not in a good mood, he can be quite scary if you do catch him at a bad moment. He doesn't want to burden others with his problems, and he fears being made fun of, so he keeps them to himself. This causes him personal frustration, as well as passive-agressive tendencies. When it gets to be too much, he'll lash out at the target, and let out his pent up rage. He dislikes bullying (towards himself or others,) as well as people being needlessly cruel to animals. Doing one of those things is the best way to get him upset.

Tim is very careful and calculating. He always thinks before he speaks, and prefers not to wrecklessly jump into danger. However, due to his insecurity he is often uncertain if the choices he makes are the right ones. He can easily be convinced to change his mind. This leaves him with some anger when the plan fails and he knew his original idea would have worked. He also doesn't like violence all that much, having been a victim of it most of his life. Although he doesn't look like it, Tim has a big appetite. He likes eating many different kinds of foods, and has the cooking skills to match.

History Tim was born Los Angles California, and his lived there his whole life. Tim's parents weren't rich, but they did all they could to give their son a good life, and give him every advantage. While they expressed having high hopes for their son's success, they tried not to put too much pressure on the boy. For the most part, his life was normal. Tim was often a target of bullying because of his shyness, tendency to get scared easily, and because he was clumsy. No matter what he did to get them to stop it, it always failed or they found something else to give him crap about. It gave him self-esteem issues, resulting in him becoming even more timid. As a result, he had very few friends growing up. He didn't tell anyone about the bullying, lest it become worse. He saw other kids get beaten up much worse after they snitched, and he didn't want that to happen. So he kept it all inside and let his resentment build.

From an early age, he always had a special talent for caring for animals. They seem to be fond of him due to his softspoken nature. He often finds sick, or injured animals and cares for, plays with, and feeds them when no one else will. Around animals, Tim felt much more like himself. He found relief from the stresses of life, and he's found they are the best friends he could ask for. He always knew he wanted to do something with animals when he gets older. He just wasn't sure what. Life continued as normal for the boy. Although the bullying has stopped when he started high school, it still had an effect on him, which is why he doesn't talk to other students all that much.

Appearance: Physically, Robyn isn’t going to turn any heads. She stands a fair 5’5, and is a bit heavy for her height, but not by too much. She has a head of fallow coloured hair, reaching just below her shoulders. On occasion, she can be seen sporting a small ponytail, tied on the upper-right side of her head . Hanging just past her cerulean blue eyes are choppy bangs, which curve slightly rightward. Finding Ami wearing make-up is a rare sight, though she’ll usually put some on for formal events and special occasions.

Robyn’s wardrobe, to the observant eye, has a few repeating elements. Many of the young woman’s tops, be they t-shirts or sweaters, feature hearts. This can range from a bold valentine on the front, to an abstract graphic containing the shape, to a repeating pattern. The presence of cropped hoodies and sweaters is also notable, though Robyn will always wear a shirt or tank underneath them. She also likes clothes to fit snug, baggy and tight garments don’t appeal to her.

For bottoms, the brunette most often sports denim jeans of various cuts. There really aren’t any funky variations to find in her wardrobe, most are blue, grey or black in colour and any design on them is fairly simple. On warmer days, Robyn will opt for capris or knee-length shorts, not feeling comfortable with anything cut above that point. Shoes aren’t too plentiful in her closet and she is most often seen wearing a pair of teal Converses.

It is rare to see the young woman without her corduroy satchel slung around her shoulder. Along the thick strap, Robyn has attached various pins (noteworthy ones being a Latios face, Fluttershy’s Cutie Mark, a winking Sailor V and the Kingdom Hearts DDD logo). Not very surprisingly, the bag itself sports a valentine, this one being rainbow foil in colour. In terms of size, it’s fair, and can carry the average In-Training Digimon with a bit of room to spare.

Personality: Robyn is the type of person that forms attachments very easily, often faster than those around her. This makes her a caring and dedicated friend, often going out of her way to help in any way she can. Describing her as loyal would be quite accurate. Another thing to note is that not only does Ami get attached quickly, but these bonds are intense as well. Falling out and goodbyes are very painful for the young woman and they keep her down for good while. She also takes backstabbing really hard and earning her trust following betrayal is usually quite the challenge.

In smaller groups and among friends, Robyn is quite sociable and can be fairly talkative. She does have moments that elicit a comical “yes, mother” from those around her, being the type to insist everyone where sweaters on a cool day among other things. She may come off as a bit naggy, but Robyn means well. Also, it may be worth noting that in crowds and large clusters of people, she grows more quiet and reserved. As such, making new friends in these conditions is a difficult task for the girl.

Some of Robyn’s better qualities are her patience (especially with people) and kindness. In contrast, one of her flaws is her tendency to fold into the demands of loved-ones too easily, in order to please them or/and maintain peace. In a group, for more minor things, she’ll also back down for the sake of avoiding an escalation in conflict. However, Robyn’ll stick to her guns if she feels strongly about the issue, especially if it would risk the safety of allies. Although she’s not one to back down from a challenge, if she or others take too much damage or are completely outclassed, the young woman has no shame in withdrawing. Her stubbornness does have many a limitation.

History: The vast majority of Robyn’s life before starting university was fairly uneventful. The girl grew up with her older brother and parents on the outskirts of a Ridgecrest, California. She was never one of the popular kids, and wouldn’t have wanted to be. Even at a young age, putting others down for the sake of hoisting one’s ego simply didn’t feel right. And indeed, in a smaller community, there were many cliques and invisible social lines, though Robyn didn’t really care much about that. She did face some minor bullying in early high school, leaving her with a slightly tarnished view of her body image, though the teasing stopped shortly after it began.

One notable happening in her childhood, however, was the death of her beloved pet rabbit during her tenth year. Robyn’s strong attachments had already manifested (heck, they’d been present since she was very young, starting school was pretty rough for her to say the least) and losing Pearl was heartbreaking for her. Though it’s been eight years, she still wouldn’t be able to keep a pet bunny and the sight of them sometimes brings back memories of that grey Mini Lop. Though some might consider it overreacting, Robyn did cherish and spend a lot of time with Peal, even litter training and teaching her basic tricks.

Robyn started playing Digimon during summer vacation and despite only being a very casual gamer, was hooked on the spot. She had wanted to pick Lopmon, but couldn’t bring herself to do it. Instead, something about Kudamon picked her interest and many an hour was spent raising and caring for that white and gold Digimon. Needless to say when plans for virtual reality were announced, she was pumped.

After high school, Robyn was unsure of what to do. She had a few career ideas, but most required university, and there weren’t any within a reasonable distance. There was a community college though, and her brother was studying there himself. Her intentions had been to go for a one year certificate or just take a few courses until she felt ready to leave, but her parents urged her to start university as soon possible. “You don’t want to miss your chance” they’d argued, and not wanting to let them down, Robyn reluctantly agreed to go. It was decided she’d live with her uncle in Los Angeles, which would be cheaper then living in a dorm and would provide some familiarity.

The “City of Angels” wasn’t exactly too kind in Robyn’s eyes. Though she knew and got along well with her uncle and cousin, the brunette missed terribly. It has improved a bit, but tinges of homesickness remain. Making friends in such a large metropolis proved very challenging for Robyn, campus was huge and everyone already seemed to have their own group. On top of everything, the smog does mess with her from time to time.

However, not all is bad. Getting to hang out more often with her cousin Amy proved to be fun and both of them getting a Digimon was amazing luck. Robyn has quickly bonded with her Digital partner and, when Robyn isn’t working or in class, the duo is almost always together.

Crest: Love. Robyn's strong sense of attachment, as well as her caring, patience and kindness (love is patient, love is kind) all contribute to ability to wield the Crest of Love. She also has a sense of nurturing, especially with children and those who are sick and afflicted with sadness.

Name: Colin Rohan
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Appearance: 6 ft 3 and well built. Short to medium length light brown hair, and hazel-green eyes. He is muscular and fit due to his job (police detective) and spending a lot of time in the gym to get it. His job usually doesn't require a uniform for anything but formalities, so he is mostly in casual clothes. This comprises of nike sneakers that could pass for casual/dress shoes, loose, light grey jeans, and a white shirt, usually under a grey woolen jacket, or on a cold day, under a black hoodie and grey woolen jacket.
Personality: One of the reasons Colin suits undercover work is his ability to think on his feet, and his people skills. What he lacks in academic skills, me makes up for with street smarts and manipulation. He can trick people into giving information without them even realising it.

He is generally friendly, and takes his job seriously. He also takes the law seriously, with the exception of certain road rules, seeing speed limits as more of a recommendation, and has a different definition of being safely in control of a vehicle.
History: Colin didn't grow up in the nicest neighborhood. Drugs and alcohol were always a problem in his neighborhood, and became apparent in his social groups at age 12. By this point, Colin had been expelled from every school he attended, and his parents had given up on him ever finishing school.

Colin was always a large kid, being as tall and strong as an eighteen year old by the time he was fifteen, and because of that, he was seen as a cheap enforcer by the local dealers. When people had stolen from them, or owed them money, Colin was one of the people who would be sent to their home to sort things out.

After six months of this, Colin had gotten enough money to be content for a fifteen year old, and wanted to stop. However, he hadn't realised how permanent his 'employer' had intended him to be, and when he tried to leave, he was threatened. For the next three months he continued to be the hired muscle.

One day, he was sent after a guy who hadn't paid the proper amount for his 'merchandise'. He knocked on the door of the guy, and as soon as it opened, he threw a punch. Colin hit the customer square in the face like he had been taught to, however this customer was different. He took the hit, and retaliated instantly, tackling Colin, and to his surprise, handcuffing him.

This customer was actually an undercover detective. Colin was tied to a chair, and interrogated, where he spilled the beans. Everything about the last nine months, and about how he had tried to leave but couldn't.

The detective felt sorry for Colin and ended up striking a deal with him. If Colin could act as a witness against the drug dealer, and any others in the area that he had solid evidence against, he would make sure that Colin wasn't prosecuted. Colin accepted, and after that day, dreamed of being a detective.

In short, Colin worked his *ss off to live up to that dream. He wasn't very intelligent when it came to school stuff, with his literacy and numeracy at a ten year olds level. However, he spent the money he earned working with the drug dealers to be tutored in those areas, and on a gym membership. 6 days a week, he would spend his days learning to read, write and do maths, and spend his nights at the gym, becoming stronger and fitter. He knew that his only strength was his physical size and strength, and that if anything would get him into the police force, that would be it.

At sixteen, he began finding work as security for events such as concerts, nightclubs and at train stations, mostly getting the work through lying about his age. However after he became well liked, and proved himself to be useful, he came clean, and his employers/co-workers pretended they knew nothing.

Over the two years after his last job with the dealers, he had met regularly with the detective who helped him escape it, partially because the detective wanted to make sure that there wasn't anyone who was going to try and get back at Colin for doing what he had done, and partially because Colin knew he would need all the help he could get to achieve his goals.

At age 17, Colin had managed to get into the Police Academy, mostly due to his size, experience and numerous recommendations. The deal was that he had to have an above average standard to stay, due to his age.

He spent the next year in training, and excelled, always staying well above average, even in the academic areas that he struggled in. Shortly after his 18th birthday, he graduated, soon moving from his home town to Los Angeles. He found a job with the LAPD, and made his way up, until six months ago, where he was given the job of detective.

Digimon was always a something Colin enjoyed, though in recent years due to lack of time, and more important stuff like work, it has become more of a guilty pleasure. However, he has loved Keramon's company in the last six months.

As for getting around, Colin drives a Nissan R34 Skyline-GTR (http://hqwide.com/wallpapers/l/1280x800/9/nissan_skyline_r34_gt_r_1280x800_8215.jpg), which he is currently paying off a large bank loan for.

Somehow I feel I'll regret joining this RP deeply, just because of time restraint on a schedule that simply can't afford it some days and lack of knowledge (my exploitation thereof aside). Also, because I didn't really use him much in GCeA X...

Name: Valerian 'Titan' Krannal
Age: 18
Gender: MASCULINE
Appearance: Valerian is 7-feet tall and bulky in composition, making him an utter, indomitable giant for his age-a fact he's capitalized on with a lot of weight and endurance training. His muscles are huge, almost sculpture-like, proof of his long and vigorous bodily upkeep. Being an aspiring boxer, his bottom half is just as muscly as his top half and he moves very fast for it-it is unwise to think this giant is at all slow. His face is somewhat angular with a cleft on his chin, beady frost-blue eyes, a sharp jaw, a monobrow, a rather stout, square nose, and the beginnings of facial hair on his sides. His hair is a curly black rag befitting a mop, though it's typically shaven to a clean buzz cut.

Valerian's clothes are rather plain. When the RP starts, he sports red jogging shorts and a T-shirt with Little Mac delivering his Star Punch, reading "Your face here" on the uppercutting glove. Of course, this is likely to change as the RP goes on, especially if it doesn't all happen in a day.

Personality: Valerian is rather rough around the edges and he's no teddy bear under that skin, but he's calm, polite, and generally doesn't start the ruckus. His temper is under check and control and is very average, and henceforth it takes true stupidity to anger him (with no self-defense measures immediately available); having a massive slab of meat punching you is never a fun prospect at the end of the day. He knows how to work his size and strength to his advantage, but ultimately he's not the type to seek fights and will generally ignore you if you don't bother him. On the other hand, those who do find that he's not just very strong, but also very good at finding and exploiting patterns and weaknesses.

Valerian's relationship with boxing is multifaced, yet simple enough: He wants a level of self-defense, he wants to do something where he can make use of his considerable physical strength, his family were boxers before him, and of course, professional-level boxing pays the bills. He also likens it to stress relief; punching a guy in the face is pretty fun, apparently, especially when it's all just a sporting competition. With all of that said, Valerian, though fully capable of talking to others, is a bit of an introvert and prefers to keep his distance from other living things.

Very surprisngly, Valreian is also a big Nintendo fan and loves Smash Bros to a competetive level, though he's not very successful. Not convinced? Valerian mains Captain Falcon in Melee and Brawl, and he's looking forward to both him and Little Mac in 4.

History: Valerian's life is honestly relatively simple in and of itself; he grew up on the outskirts of Vegas, born to a family of relatively unsuccessful boxers, most retired, though his mother is a cop and his father currently the owner of a local gym. His schoolwork growing up was average; his exercise, growth rates, and dedication to carry on the simple family tradition to others were not. The local school bullies stayed away from Valerian like a plague as soon as the second grade, and he only got stronger from there as time went on. He made a point to join a school boxing club as soon as he could, and he became a regular at his father's gym the instant he could get in. His nickname, Titan, comes from his boxing style-he favors abusing his massive muscles and endurance to nigh-eternally taking hits from foes, keeping close to the ropes and wearing them out while beating them to a fine paste with well-timed punches.

His parents were facing financial troubles at the time, but it was hardly that which pressured them to sell their land. Rather, in the last six months after E3 and the infamous 'Toy-whatever' incident (as Valerian called it), a local gang of drug dealers-known as the Molten Onyx-rose to some serious prominence without much explamation. The leader of the group proved his sudden rise in power power by blowing up a few neighboring businesses who had slighted him before and stole all their money. How he ever got that powerful remained unexplained to the local public, though a lot of the conspiracy-types swore he got a Digimon. Valerian knew next-to-nothing on the subject himself, nor did his parents, but Digimon or know, there was nothing quite like a few exploded houses to convince one to move, fast. They took a fast trip to LA and quickly integrated themselves by buying a new gym location on the outskirts of the city.

Little did they know that the Molten Onyx decided to expand their reach out of Vegas...

Crest: Valerian is crestless.
Digivice Colour: Also Digivice-less.
Other: Valerian is armed with brass knuckles and is a trained boxer with a size rather abnormal for his age. His physical endurance, strength, and speed are all befitting an athlete of his profession. Needless to say, he will not go down easily. It helps a lot, doubly so considering that he has no Digimon whatsoever, as having no Digivice shows. Also, yes, the Molten Onyx will play a huge part in Valerian's own story.

Now, 3 things:

1. I'm raising the age limit from 20 to 24. If anyone wants to edit their characters' age, just let me know. Thinking this might allow more flexibility with characters and such.

2. I know revealing a major plot point before even beginning the story might seem dumb, but I think mentioning that the Digital World will be appearing is fair. Name: Alicia Stratos

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Alicia is the type of person who nobody would think much of at first glance. She stands little taller than five feet, and never really bothers to go out of her way to make herself look any better than she usually does. As a result, her black hair is normally a mess, there is almost never any makeup covering up the blemishes on her face, and the bags that have formed under her brown eyes from spending too much time gaming sit there unimpeded for the world to see. Her dark skin is likewise not any more well-kept than needed to keep people from bothering her about being a mess.

The same attitude towards her appearance is shown in her choice of clothing. Almost half of the things she wears are loose on her, due to her not having wanted to worry about outgrowing them back when she bought them. The outfit she wears most often consists of a black and blue stripped hoodie that still slides off one of her shoulders rather often, a pair of black jean shorts that are almost impossible to see underneath the aforementioned hoodie, and a pair of combat boots that she only added to her ensemble after getting her partner. She occasionally adds a black and blue baseball cap to the mix, at which point she actually goes through the effort to stick a ponytail through the back of it.

Personality: If there is one thing that can be said about Alicia, it is that she takes her studies very seriously. As rarely though she may act the part, her online classes were really one of the only things she ever did before getting her Digimon partner, so she is quite possibly one of the most intelligent people of her age group. At least in an academic capacity, since her lack of socializing with others has left her without very much of an idea as to how other people are to be treated in casual conversation.

As a sort of fallout from her rather trolly attitude on the internet, Alicia is rather rough around the edges when it comes to dealing with other people. She can get condescending when she knows something that somebody else does not, is prone to yelling when things stop going her way in just about any capacity, and has a tendency of egging others on that she has had for so long that she no longer even notices that she is doing it. She tends to listen to her sister about when she should shut up, mostly because she has heard the rants she knows would be to follow if she kept on going. Despite all this, she is capable of building much more meaningful connections with others when she bothers to try.

The existence of such connections can be seen when she is interacting with her sister and Impmon. While she still has a bit of a problem when it comes to going a bit too far with teasing them from time to time, she is more than willing to go far out of her way if it means she will be helping either of them, and she frets over the both of them whenever they are out doing something potentially dangerous. Sovereigns help the one who hurts either of them.

History: In a highly damaging blow to her social skills, Alicia is the daughter of two highly successful businesspeople whose jobs require they move around a lot. After about the third time that she became really close friends with people and then had to move away, Alicia simply started to ignore the people around her, seeing no reason to deal with people who she would never see again after a few months anyway. She never saw this as much of a problem, because her little sister was always there for her.

Seeing that she was not handling the constant moving rather well, her parents decided to enroll her in an online school in order to get her something resembling normalcy in her life despite the fact that they were constantly moving from place to place. With the sudden amount of spare time she had, not having to deal with other people and moving from class to class, Alicia then got into online games of just about every type. Her parents wholeheartedly supported this, because they viewed it as a way for her to connect with other people who would still be around in one form or another even after they moved. If they only knew what sort of attitude she had towards the other people online, they would have potentially rethought that.

Alicia eventually managed to convince her little sister to join her in playing the online games whenever she had any spare time, and Rebecca wasted no time in making her best attempt to make her sister stop being as much of a jerk as she was being. While she could be called a troll even after, Alicia quickly learned to at least act kinder around other people whenever her sister was around unless she wanted to get an earful about why people should treat other people with respect.

Eventually Digimon came out, and the two siblings liked it just about as much as they liked any other game. Alicia quickly came to see the various types of merchandise being sold about it everywhere to be pointless, but her sister managed to convince her to buy some of it, if only to experience what the card game was like. Alicia kept on believing that there was no point to owning a lot of the stuff, only to change her mind on the matter when both the Digivices they owned spewed out a Digimon for the both of them.

Name: Rebecca Stratos

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Rebecca pays more mind to her appearance than her sister does, although still not to the same level that most girls do. She does her best to keep her brown hair combed whenever she is not doing something with it, uses makeup to cover up any of the more serious blemishes that could cause people to look at her funny, and she never really stays up enough to have bags forming under her brown eyes. Her dark skin is actually much more dirty a lot of the time, if only because Rebecca is the one who is more often doing things outside.

The fact that Rebecca is an athlete of sorts can be seen immediately by the outfit that she usually wears. It consists of a red shirt with the sides cut out of it, a black sports bra that she has absolutely no shame in showing off while wearing the aforementioned shirt, a pair of black athletic shorts, red socks going all the way up to her knees and black sneakers. She often has her hair braided behind her, with a red and black bandana wrapped around her head.

Personality: Rebecca is very much the type of person whose interests move from thing to thing rather quickly. She is very much a fan of sports, and is rather consistent about the fact that she is going to be playing them, but which sport in particular she has an interest in is something that changes fairly often. She has gone out of her way to convince her sister to play different games for them to play because of this, not that it took terribly much effort to achieve such a thing.

When it comes down to it, Rebecca is also the more knowledgeable of the two siblings when it comes to the Digimon trading card game, largely because she actually goes out and is thus able to learn new things about it from playing with other people. This has also lead to her having the larger collection of cards, although she will tentatively allow her sister to use whichever of them she happens to need.

On the surface, Rebecca seems to be much more social than her sister is. She is the one who is often reminding Alicia that acting the way she does is something that is frowned upon, often goes out of her way to take part in events that includes other people, and is generally a much more likable person than her sister is. However, no matter how well she does to hide it, Rebecca is actually much less capable of connecting with other people than her sister. This is something that is largely seen in interactions with Alicia and Patamon, who she treats absolutely no differently than she does anybody else.

History: Very much like her older sister, Rebecca eventually became rather distant from her peers due to the fact that she would inevitably have to move away from them, although the interest in sports that she gained at an early age kept her from avoiding them nearly as much as Alicia did. She was therefore allowed to keep attending public schools, although she never really became friends with anybody until she was twelve, and received her own cellphone that allowed her to keep in touch with them.

The unfortunate part of her penchant towards moving was that she could never get into one of the school teams for the fear that she would leave in the middle of a season, which was widely regarded as a shame by the people who were, because while she was never truly anything special, she was without a doubt good at what she did.

She eventually allowed herself to be convinced by her sister to play video games whenever she needed to take a break from athletics for some reason or another. Having been just as effected from the lack of stability in their lives as Alicia was, Rebecca fell in love with the social aspect of the games, and therefore got annoyed with her sister for being as uncaring towards others as she had become.

Eventually the two got Digimon, and while Rebecca thought the game was rather charming, she never really thought much of it in comparison to the others until she learned that there were a group of kids in her school who were rather adept at the card game. Although not particularly interested in card games most of the time, it caught Rebecca’s interest just enough for her to convince her sister to buy a few packs so that they could learn.

She had not anticipated real Digimon to come out of their Digivices, but she wasn’t about to complain about that.

Name: Bianca Stevens
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Bianca stands at about five ft 4, with wavy black hair, which makes her skin appear somewhat pale. She has light blue/grey eyes, and a few freckles spotted on her face. Though she doesn’t look muscular or like someone who goes out of their way to keep very healthy, she is relatively fit, and quick on her feet.

Clothing wise, she is likely to wear day to day a pair of dark blue denim jeans, a tshirt and a woollen jumper, usually pale blue, white or grey. If she is trying to impress someone, usually to get a look in their house, she will dress up a little more, and wear a sundress, usually white, pale blue or light purple. However when it comes to larceny, looks go out the window. She wears black leggings, a black, longsleeved top, and a black hoodie over a black mask.


Personality: When it comes to most people but Vulna or herself, Bianca is self-centered. She will go to drastic lengths to achieve her goals, and doesn’t care who she steps on. It is not that she is a bad person, but more that she is childish. She might be more likely to think of someone before herself if they have gone above and beyond for her, though it is more out of guilt than wanting to do good.

Bianca can read people like a book, and manipulate them with ease. Half the reason she knows how to get into a house is because she managed to sweet talk the owner into letting her come in a few days earlier, whether it be by pretending to be a door to door salesperson, ‘accidentally’ walking into them when they are taking the shopping in, and offering to help to say sorry, or even plainly flirting with them if it is a guy, or in some cases, a girl.

Due to her mother not being around often, she never really learnt respect for authority and adults.

History: As harsh as it may sound, the simplest way to put it is that Bianca was an accident. The result of too much alcohol at a birthday party, and a fairly intoxicated young man with a station wagon.

Her mother had just turned sixteen when she found out she was pregnant. As soon as the father found out she was pregnant, he moved out of town, leaving her on her own. Bianca was born by the time her mother was 17.

Bianca grew up with her aunt until she was ten. Shortly before she was born, her mother and mother’s sister came to an agreement. Bianca’s aunt had already finished college and had a full time job. She was married, had a stable income, and a son who was a year old at the time. Much more suitable to be a mother.

The deal was that Bianca would live with her aunt until her mother would be able to take care of her. To finish school, go to university and get a job. Since her mother would only be 34 by the time Bianca became an adult, and would still be able to work for another 20 years, she would pay back her sister for any expenses that raising her daughter brought about, after she became somewhat independent.

When Bianca was five, her mother finished a nursing degree at university and found a job at a hospital. However this involved a lot of night shifts, which is hard for a single mother. Because of this, Bianca continued to live with her aunt, staying with her mother on the weekends. This continued until she was ten, when her mother finally found a job that didn’t have too many night shifts.

When Bianca was six, she was enrolled in gymnastics, in which she proved to be a prodigy, having near perfect balance and coordination. She continued to do this until she was fourteen, when she found a new hobby.

One day when she was fourteen, her mobile phone was confiscated for the week at school, after someone attempted to call her during class, and the ringtone was a song with a lot of cursing. She left school angry, and that night decided to put the skills she hard learnt over the last nine years to the test.

She jumped the fence of the school, and scaled the side of a building, managing to reach the roof easily. Once there, she managed to enter the building through the heating ducts.

She was in and out within twenty minutes, without a single hitch. The next week when she was due to get the phone back, her teacher thought he had lost it, and ended up having to buy her a new one, which she sold and kept the money. This was her first hit of larceny, and she was hooked.

She soon after quit gymnastic, believing that she had nothing more to learn, but didn’t tell her mother. Instead, when her mother would leave for night shifts, or when she would head off for ‘gymnastics’, she would be working.

Bianca became a thief for hire. If anyone wanted a possession taken without the owners consent, something planted or anything else along those lines, they would call Bianca.

When she was sixteen, she left school and moved out of home. Her mother was always a stranger to her, like an aunt who lived far away. Though it killed her mother to see her leave, Bianca didn’t feel any remorse. She knew that eventually her mother would start asking questions, and that she needed her space.

She rented a small two bedroom apartment, and pretended to get a job in order to keep people from asking how she could afford it. She would spend her mornings sleeping, afternoons looking around the site of her next hit, and nights taking what wasn’t hers.

Shortly after moving out, Bianca got into Digimon, purely as a time flller. She is impatient and part of her line of work could mean waiting hours on end. She played on a tablet and with her Digivice. When she met her partner Renamon, she finally met her match in agility and coordination, and had met her new partner in crime.

Crest: Technically none, but there are links to friendship that Jaye and I have spoken about (Spoilers ;) )

Other: Thief for hire. In the last few years has learnt valuable skills such as picking locks, moving silently and unseen, and ilfiltration techniques.

Yes, I planned to have Bio Merging tie in with the Crests.

However, that doesn't mean Mega is impossible for others. In the case of DNA Digivolution and other methods, it can be achieved. I'll be editing the first post shortly to reflect this (wasn't planning to included non-Crested characters originally, still ironing out some details and such. sorry for any confusion ^^')

While I think I understood everything there, Sable is currently in possession of his Keramon because she kind of kidnapped him and they are currently chilling in their penthouse apartment owned by their aunt. Comatose and I planned this out a bit over skype because, impulsive creativeness happened.

Sable would like to call it "Digimon abuse prevention" but she's the weird one. My character's aren't violent, at most Rift will act aggressive and the Kunemon will stare and act like an socially awkward dog going through temperament classes. Only if the dog was a very large insect.

This is all just a way to start bringing things together and start plot really. XD Colin is aiming to get his bag and Keramon back. Sable and her aunt's main goal is to broaden their understanding of Digimon and stockpile as much information as possible, AKA creating the Digimon Wikia before the Digimon Wikia would exist.

Saraibre - And being kidnapped by the ones who your partner is in a confrontation with would indeed be a rather significant disadvantage, I would think. I'm merely stating that there isn't really anything Colin could do to arrest them should they not choose to cooperate.

Tazz - Of course not. Attacking blindly would be foolish when they're clearly holding all the cards in that situation.

Comatose - I suppose it could be, but the first post does state that hiding Digimon from the authorities is kind of something that they need to do, since the public having that sort of dangerous firepower at their disposal is rather frowned upon. That being said, Colin is a part of the authorities, so I don't know how that works out.

I'm not trying to influence how things are going in your interactions. Just making observations, as I am wont to do.

I'd rather the Explosion comes within, at most, two posts from where we are in the RP. Valerian didn't travel far at all-and he ran back VERY fast. In any case, the most sturdy metals are forged in the fires of hell-we'll bond quicker if put in a situation where we either unite or die. Getting a bit of dialogue between the characters before having them face the boomage is alright, it lays a bit of foundation for them. I know I'll be including the explosion in my next post, but not before getting some interaction between Robyn and the others and acknowledging Tyler's presence in some way (unless he posts first).

I'd rather the Explosion comes within, at most, two posts from where we are in the RP. Valerian didn't travel far at all-and he ran back VERY fast. In any case, the most sturdy metals are forged in the fires of hell-we'll bond quicker if put in a situation where we either unite or die. Point of order! Isn't Lucemon, even in its Rookie form, still about as powerful as a Mega?

I say it's stronger than an Ultimate but weaker than a Mega-an in-between, if you will. If you get to Mega, you're pretty much OK to fight him...At least, at base form. Chaos Mode will require party tactics and at least a whole team of VERY GOOD Champions at bare minimum, and Shadowlord requires some very odd interpretation of his abilities and some lateral thinking...As well as a team of Ultimate Digimon to actually take those crazy attacks.

That being said, yeah, the Kyubimon is going down in one hit. It's unconscious, NOT dead, but still down in a hit. You'll still need to do quite a bit of leveling before you can get on his level, and Lucemon in this case has been...Active.

Nemeros is also sort of a Digimon on his own. Sable's Aunt is not his Tamer, he's more like an obnoxious house pet who thought it's cooler getting free food for being a decent bug than causing mayhem for those who will put up with him. XD

I found this on Google. I'm very interested in participating, but I have some questions first.

1) Are we allowed more than one character?

2) Since I'm big on characterisation, development and options, can there be other ways to digivolve as well as other lines/forms? The anime has digimental, DNA, digisoul, spirit, and something else I'm sure I'm forgetting. This would be awkward if it were crest-only. Same with the digi-lines. The digimental line being the only thing would feel awkward to me, because there is limit to what the Digimon in the RP can do. Suppose I have a character that sucks at life? They shouldn't be able to get Champion level. Or how about someone who wouldn't be worthy of a crest? Now they have the crest of courage and goggles? Eh, not a big deal either way, I just hope I'm able to see my characters fully developed with their metaphorical wings stretched. Not yelling at you or anything. I'm glad I found this RP regardless. The Data Squad approach gives it a refreshing feel and sets it apart from the (very few) Digimon RPs out there.

3) Is this a short, pick-up RP or do you intend for this to be a long-runner? The only other Digimon RP I'm involved in is pretty much slowly trudging along. I don't want this one -- should I join -- to wither into nothingness and die. I want it to last a good while for us (the writers) to get mileage out of it, and for my characters to execute their personal journey.

You are allowed more than one character, yes-Siesses did that.

There are crestless characters, and they do seem to be capable of evolving their Digimon without assistance-all the way to Mega, even. Only the crested score Bio-Merging (apparently), and a Bio-Merge has a few benefits-otherwise, though, Mega requires some special circumstances from what I gather. Otherwise, unless you're explicitly limiting yourself, having a Crestless that goes all the way to Mega is possible. I'm not an expert on Digimon in any sense (indeed, my character is me using this problem of mine as a character trait and didn't start with a Digimon), but DNA Digivolution is definitely possible and one of the ways a Crestless can hit Mega from what I gather. I don't know about all those other terms, though...

Not sure on length, though, but I'd say it's in the middle.

I'm using a non-crest method for my characters. I did see the GM mention that crestless characters are okay. They must be if you have one. My characters will have a confirmed method of evolution, but I want the moment to be revealed in the post. So . . . yeah. I'm also glad that he/she will use other forms and lines in the future!

It's energy that is a result of Human emotion being converted into Digimon-compatible data, which then allows the Digimon to access their higher forms. While DigiSoul allows both Human and Digimon to be in better synch than those who use digimentals -- and a bit stronger too -- the setbacks are also more significant. The pain threshold is higher, thanks to the greater need for direct Human emotion. Furthermore, it is easier for the Human to cause an error (or dark evolution) if their emotions aren't stable and/or kept in check. Everyone that uses DigiSoul has an aura -- a visual manifestation of the energy. Elizabeth's is blue with red swirls. It appears on/around her hands when activated. (For development purposes and to keep in line with the RP's rules, she's not aware of this just yet. She can do it, but she doesn't know what it is or how it works. Neither does her Digimon partner.)

Now the English dub of Sonic X was terrible. Japanese version? It was great. Either way, the Sonic fandom is a large civil war zone. Unfortunately, as I said, I would have to indirectly bunny several characters to move forward. Which I would be perfectly willing to do, if it's what's needed to actually get things going. I just don't think people would be too terribly fond of me about it.

But please don't go too much further ahead than the rest of us. That kills RP's, too.

...OK, question is, who's moving first? Not moving at all is perhaps an easier killer and one I see FAR more. I'd rather we move faster than others can possibly be if it means the RP is still alive, you know?

Oh, yes, I recommend splitting into groups of two and separating as soon as you can. The last time I saw a group of four in an RP, all of the members dropped out rather quickly because one hit a roadblock. In fact, though RPing with others is better than RPing without, I've noticed that individuals going alone typically get stuff done faster. Two is optimal-with two digis and two humans, leaves plenty of room to bounce back and forth and develop.

You know, I had been listening to advice to split into multiple groups, and merely assumed Tim had managed to pace himself away from the other two. I had very much written that post as the two siblings addressing different groups of people at about the same time, so Rebecca wouldn't have been talking to Tim at all. Although I suppose her ignoring him completely would still be less rude than how Alicia addressed him.

If we go with that, combined with Robyn paying more attention to Tyler than to Tim, then he just really has bad luck, doesn't he?

I think that's what Siesses meant as well.

I also think the idea of smaller groups works better, makes things a bit more fluid and the waiting period is usually less long.

Actually, I was very much having Rebecca address Tyler and Robyn. She would never just leave them there while her sister and Tim escaped through the back with her. There is also a part of me that wants to get the sisters apart, because Rebecca keeps overshadowing her sister due to level-headedness. If we go with her addressing her sister and Tim, then I'm going to have to rewrite my post, and will probably change it sufficiently enough that Wizardmon will have to rewrite his as well.
