And into the fire!
It is Pokemon Podcast Month and we got some exclusive content from your favorite Pokemon podcasters! From GO, TCG, talk, to tabletop and beyond! We have sent out the classic Podcasters Questionnaire to see what your favorite Pokemon podcasters have to say about podcasting!
And today we have….Alex & Austin & Jacob from Out of the Drying Pan to talk about podcasting and everything in between!
So what does Out of the Drying Pan have to say about…
What type of podcast do you have? Why do you make the type of podcast that you make?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: An anime rewatch and recap pod! Engaing with and discussion of media has always been a fun bonding experience for us.
What drew you to the Pokemon franchise?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: Being kids in the late 90s, of course!
What inspired you to podcast?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: It’s really an excuse to hang out as friends every week, but we are happy to also interact with and talk with new friends who want to listen as well!
What keeps you going when it comes to podcasting and Pokemon?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: What keeps me going is one, spending time with good friends, and two because Pokémon is genuinely one of my fave franchises and it’s nice to have an outlet to discuss. Also it’s entertaining to add a goofy and embellishing spin to what’s going on in episodes. It’s fun to exaggerate and apply adult logic to a silly kids show.
What kind of feeling do you wish your listeners to have when listening to your podcast?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: The feeling I want listeners to have is the feeling of being entertained, brightening their day if only for an hour, a sense of camaraderie like they’re listening to friends.
What is the hardest part when it comes to podcasting?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: The hardest part is scheduling, making sure we can all align our lives to get together. Audio fidelity issues when we don’t have premium equipment.
What has been the best Podcast moment you have had?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: Watching and talking about Pokémon Live. What a trip.
If you can suggest an episode of your podcast to a new listener, which episode would it be? Why?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/out-of-the-drying-pan-new-logo.jpg?x41655Alex & Austin & Jacob: We are just wrapping up the Whirl Islands mini-arc of Johto (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/out-of-the-drying-pan-a-pok%C3%A9mon-the-series-podcast/id1567330861), which coincides with the season 5 premiere. May as well start at the start of a new season and storyline!
Thank you for Alex & Austin & Jacob from Out of the Drying Pan for answering our questions. We hope that you give Out of the Drying Pan a listen if you haven’t already. If you are a listener then let us know!
Signing off! Until next time!
