It is Pokemon Podcast Month and we got some exclusive content from your favorite Pokemon podcasters! From GO, TCG, talk, to tabletop and beyond! We have sent out the classic Podcasters Questionnaire to see what your favorite Pokemon podcasters have to say about podcasting!
And today we have….JD and Alex from PokéMakers to talk about podcasting and everything in between!

What type of podcast do you have? Why do you make the type of podcast that you make?

We talk out a whole Pokémon game each season, including everything from characters, routes, gyms and of course, the Pokémon. We make this show because we love Pokémon and we love creating things together!
What drew you to the Pokemon franchise?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/PokeMakers-s2.jpg?x41655JD and Alex: We both grew up with Pokémon, it’s been something we’ve loved since childhood in almost every iteration of the franchise!
What inspired you to podcast?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/PokeMakers-s2.jpg?x41655JD and Alex: We enjoy podcasting as a medium, and as something that we can do creatively together! We were inspired by friends who started podcasting before us, and we just fell in love.
What keeps you going when it comes to podcasting and Pokemon?

There are plenty of ways to create and share Fakemon with other fans, but podcasting gives us a schedule and a fair amount of accountability to keep us on track.
What kind of feeling do you wish your listeners to have when listening to your podcast?

What is the hardest part when it comes to podcasting?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/PokeMakers-s2.jpg?x41655JD and Alex: Editing can be challenging. Its always way more fun to plan and record an episode than it is to edit it. But it’s worth it to keep the show consistent!
What has been the best Podcast moment you have had?
https://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/PokeMakers-s2.jpg?x41655JD and Alex: Any time anyone engages with our ideas, whether it be comments, emails, or fanart, it genuinely makes our day every time someone shows interest in what we do.
Likewise, having guests come on the show and play in our world with us, bringing their own ideas and vision. It’s truly something special!
If you can suggest an episode of your podcast to a new listener, which episode would it be? Why?

Genuinely one the funniest episodes I think we have.
