The SU/DS thread for this RP can be found here (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?4271-Digimon-Choas-Unleased-SU-DS)!

-Plot-

[Digimon started off innocent enough, an online game created by the once obscure Iband. Within a short period of time, the game was drawing in countless users and was translated in a few different languages, further perpetuating its popularity. Over the next few years, cards and Digivices were released; players connected them to their computer and could physically swipe them and get one step closer to being a real Tamer…

Needless to say, fans were crazy excited when IBand announced they had plans for Virutal Reality. There was much at stake here, the project was very expensive and fear of failure was high. Being a risk taker, however, the CEO was hopeful success was within reach, which would bring in lofty profits. Sadly, things did in fact hit many snags and was taking much longer than expected.

In order to avoid losing too many players, a major patch was introduced, featuring fusion Digivolution. At first, things went smoothly and people stayed fairly interested in the Digimon game. However, not long before the Virtual Reality unveiling, something went very wrong…

Choasdramon should not exist. When testing new fusions, this monster was created, and the mistake was glaring. The game experienced minor but notable glitches from that moment onward, and removing Choasdramon’s coding proved impossible. Staff had no idea what to make of it, and some suggested taking the game offline for repairs. However doing that so close to revealing the Virtual Reality device after so much time, energy and money was put into it was swiftly rejected. Too risky, they said.

Nobody could have predicted what happened on that day, a day IBand and Digimon fans had been looking forward to for so long. The machine was turned on; blacked out for a moment only for a glithy code to on the screen…

From there, the device proceeded to make a sharp zapping sound and in a show of lights and pixilated effects, a Digimon appeared, right there in the convention centre. Needless to say, that ToyAugmon caused an incredible commotion and roused both excitement and panic from the audience. However, little did anyone know, that was only the beginning…

It seems that whatever happened to the Virtual Reality device tore a hole into the barrier separating the Digital World from Earth. The ToyAugmon at E3 was waved as a publicity stunt to avoid creating panic and confusion. IBand, government agents and select elite programmers worked around the clock to find a way to deal with the monsters that had already escaped the Digital World and to prevent more from appearing. At the same time, it grew increasingly hard to cover up Digimon sightings and the damage some would make.

Not all the digital monsters that came to the human world were bad, however. More than a few players of the Digimon game found their Digivices shaking, glowing and generally not acting as it should. Access to the game had been cut, leaving many wondering what was happening. Those who kept their spazzy Digivices were in for something special; their own Digimon had crossed to the real world to meet up with them. Some took it… badly, but there were those who relished being able to have their own real digital partner. Of course, keeping them hidden from the authorities proved important, for potentially lethal creatures whose existence was constantly being masked falling into the hands of the general public (especially children and teenagers) was not likely going to jive.

Lately, it seems the Digimon appearing are getting bigger, stronger and more dangerous. At the same time, small but notable groups of Tamers have been using their Digimon in “less then honorable” ways. It’s only a matter of time before cover-ups will no longer be able to hide the existence of digital monsters in our world.

Critical questions remain. Does Choasmon have any involvement in these events? Is there something more sinister waiting around the bend? Will the government’s team’s newest plan be more effective then the last? And of course… what will YOUR role in this story be..? Only one way to find out…

-Rules-

-Please do not Godmod /Powerplay. You are not invincible, threatening enemies do not go down in one hit, and dodging every single hit is almost always impossible. As mentioned in the “Important Notes” section, information pertaining to the Digimon situation is scarce at best; you shouldn’t be a fountain of knowledge in this area.

-Please avoid bunnying. Taking control of someone else’s character in any way is not allowed. However, if you have permission to do so, there’s no problem.

-Please be respectful to everyone at all times. We’re all here to have fun and forge a story, not to insult and attack each other. If someone has done something you don’t like, please address in a polite manner.

-To avoid confusion, we’ll be including a header in every post with our character names and our locations.

-If you are unable to post for an extended period, or have to leave the RP, it would be greatly appreciated that you let us know by posting in this thread or by PMing me.

-Posts should be two paragraphs minimum, though making them a little longer would be great. However, don't worry about making posts very long. It's better to be able to post shorter posts on a regular basis then rarely being able to post because it takes too long to write a huge post. I cannot stress this enough. Also... said post A LOT there, didn't I? cx

-Do refrain from using chatspeak in your posts. Typos happen, they're inevitable, but please make an effort to write using proper English.

-Have fun, of course! If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to share them c:

-Important notes-

-Your Digivice is a D’Arc model, which is designed to utilize modify cards

-A basic list of modify cards can be found here. Please note that the blue, red and Radiant Fate cards are inaccessible. Creating your own cards is encouraged, but avoid making them overpowered and PLEASE run the idea by me first. Thank-you ^^

-The RP begins about 6 or so months after E3 and is set in Los Angeles and the surrounding area. It would be preferable if your character had something keeping them in the region; living there, studying, ect.

-As officials are attempting to cover the existence of Digimon, accurate information relating to the situation is very hard to come by. Any knowledge on the topic is rare, actually. Most reports on Digimon are in attempts to debunk claims they’ve been spotted or exist.

-It is worth noting that the higher the form a Tamer’s Digimon reaches, the more the Tamer feels the pain their partner receives in battle.

Project D
Log 33

Finally, our efforts bear fruit. Today’s test proceeded with minor incident, and the results proved promising. I believe that with minor adjustments, we will be in position to commence work on the next phase.

He never believed those words would ever grace his digital log book. When Project D had been proposed, he’d been optimistic, but this soon turned to pessimism in the face of endless setbacks and glitches. The idea was sound; Digimon had an extreme tolerance to conventional weapons and there was no way they’d be able to employ the force needed to destroy them without drawing public attention. They needed a more discreet way of engaging the monsters…

He understood their reasoning, the chance of chaos erupting was great indeed. However, Digimon were manifesting in one of the largest urban centres in the world. They were very lucky almost six months had passed without an incident opening the metaphorical “can of worms”. He knew it was only a matter of time until something happened, something they would be unable to cover up. The situation seemed to be escalating, and the clock continued to tick.

A sigh. There wasn’t much more he could do at this point. His partner was writing an official report, describing the test’s micro details and results for analysis. Until they got feedback, it was a waiting game. A very dangerous one at that…

Instead of stressing further, he continued to write his log, trying to recapture the twinge of optimism he’d had moments ago…

Name: Robyn Caron
Location: Los Angeles, Northridge neighbourhood

The streets of Los Angeles seemed to be forever busy, no matter the day of the week or hour. Of course, there were spikes in congestions, but there always seemed to be groups of people heading to and from various destinations. It wasn’t until moving here that Robyn understood the concept of being lonely within a crowd…

But today, the young woman was feeling quite cheerful. She’d finished her last midterm less than an hour back and felt it had gone over rather well. The extra studying had paid off, Robyn was sure she’d score a B at least. That would be enough to satisfy her, for sure.

Instead of going home right away, she decided to grab a smoothie and walk over to the game store to see if they had anything she wanted. It had been a fair while since the brunette had bought a new title and since she had no school work to do, now was a good time to do so. The cool drink tasted sweet and had a distinct strawberry-banana flavour, one of her favorites. Slipping the fluid swiftly, she maintained a slow pace walking down the street, headed to the game shop.

Her bag was oddly light, Kya’s absence evident. Robyn never really brought her Digimon to class, it was too risky and the poor thing would have nothing to do all day in a bag anyway.

Above her, the sky was beginning to cloud over, which caught the brunette’s eye. The temperature seemed to be cooling off as well, making her wish she’d worn a thicker sweater. The light grey crop hoodie she had on was comfortable, but was made for a warmer day.

It didn’t take much longer for Robyn to find the store, which was marked with a red sign…

(00C: Robyn's part is a bit weak, but meh)

Names: Alicia and Rebecca Stratos
Location: Los Angeles, Northridge area

Upon taking a look up at how the weather was shaping up for the day, Rebecca considered for a moment that it perhaps would have been better for her to have dragged her sister out of the house another day.

They had only just arrived in the city the day before because their parents had something that they had to do there, and so Rebecca had decided to jump the gun at their tradition of her making her sister see the sights while they were still there. Considering how quickly they could leave somewhere when their parents were only visiting for something small, it seemed like a good idea at the time. The rapidly cooling temperature, at least, would not endear the older girl towards the city.

Then again, Alicia was at least wearing a hoodie, which was more than Rebecca could say for herself at that moment. Thus leaving open a rather opportune moment for her to be teased about something or another, which was perhaps worse than her sister not enjoying the city.

Sure enough, Alicia quickly raised an eyebrow. “The weather’s sure feeling nice, isn’t it?”

“Shut up, Lisa,” Rebecca murmured.

The younger girl briefly wondered if her sister expected her to exercise wearing heavy clothing, because that’s what she had been doing before their little excursion. Then again, without having ever done any actual exercising, it was entirely possible that the girl did think that. In any case, it was a rather hypocritical thing for somebody whose legs were almost entirely exposed to tease somebody over.

Rebecca briefly wished that Patamon and Impmon there there, since they were both much less prone to teasing than her sister was, even if the latter had picked up a lot of her other traits. Just transporting them from place to place in a vehicle was dangerous enough, though.

“Hey, Becca, you doing alright?” Alicia frowned, before noticing something that was apparently amusing. “Dude, I think you’re literally shaking right now!”

“I’ve been in colder.” Rebecca rolled her eyes.

“If you say so,” Alicia said dubiously. “Hey, you wanna go check out a game store? It’s been a while since I was to one, and you’ve already dragged me out of the house, so...”

Rebecca smiled slightly at her sister. “I think that sounds like a great idea.”

“Cool! Then let’s go already!”

It took no more effort than Rebecca checking on her phone for the two to find the nearest game store, and it took little time at all for them to actually get to it.

Being more of a gamer out of the two, Alicia almost instantly started to scan the shelves as they entered the place, and predictably focused in on the PC games. They may have had all three of the major consoles at their house, but most of their games ended up being for the PC regardless. Had their parents been any less well-off than they were, Rebecca would have called that a waste of money.

As things were, she merely watched her sister with her arms crossed and a content smile on her face.

Colin Rohan
Joe's Cafe, Northridge

"Psst. Colin." whispered Tsumemon from inside Colin's jacket. "Psst. Why aren't you listening? I'm hungry!"

Colin said nothing, and proceeded to 'accidentally' knock his fork off the table. As he crouched under to get it, he whispered into his jacket.

"Because talking to myself will draw attention." Colin whispered before stuffing some food into Tsumemon's mouth, nearly getting bitten in the process.

As he sat back up, he continued eating, and played on his phone. Thought it seemed innocent enough, his eyes would be on the phone for a few seconds, before quickly searching an area of the cafe.

Joe's Cafe, to be honest, was nothing special. The food was cheap, but you got what you paid for. The doorway was between two large buildings, and would lead through a hall to the main cafe. Unless you were looking for it, it was very easy to miss. Colin had become a regular in recent weeks, though it wasn't the food that brought him here, as much as it was the man who ate lunch here every Thursday. The illegal weapons dealer he had been hunting for the last two months.

Colin took another bite of his burger with his left hand, as he opened Facebook with his right. Meanwhile, he had another look. After a second, he saw a reflection in the metallic kitchen door. The man he was after, sitting a few tables behind him, getting up to leave, right after checking his phone. Just like Colin guessed.

After a minute, Colin left a few notes underneath his plate and half-eaten burger, and went to follow the dealer. He knew he might lose him by waiting, but didn't want to risk getting caught out. This was the best lead they had in a while. The suspect always covered his tracks well. He would park away from home, and have his car covered, and always looked over his shoulder.

As Colin made his way to the carpark, he saw the car he was looking for, driving north along the San Diego Highway. It was too late to follow him without drawing attention to himself. Instead, he casually made his way into his car, and got in. Tsumemon jumped out of his jacket, into the passenger seat, and digivolved to Keramon.

"Well that was eventful." Keramon said sarcastically, "Just like last week."

"Don't be too sure of that." Colin said as he opened the center console of the Nissan Skyline, and pulled out an iPad. He quickly unlocked it, and opened a sketching application. His project from last time was still there. A map of Los Angeles, appeared on his screen, with Joe's Cafe in the center, and a circle with a 5 mile radius.

"Remember the other week, I picked the lock of his car?" Colin asked.

"Yeah, and you found jack *****" Keramon said.

"If you're helping me, you gotta be more professional." Colin said. "Anyway, that was useful to us."

"How was that useful?" Keramon asked, somewhat confused.

"Because an hour later, he was caught making an exchange on film in Glendale." Colin said. "I have had the guys at the station keeping an eye out for his car on any security cameras they can. If he had an empty car here, then was able to make the exchange an hour later, he must have gone to where he stores his products between. And given the short time frame between him being here and making the exchange, it must be somewhat close for him to go there, then to Glendale."

"Okay, that is somewhat useful." Keramon replied, "But what about today? He literally got up and left after five minutes."

"That was the plan. I knew he would do that." Colin said with a grin, as he looked at the iPad, trying to think. "We arrested some ape-like idiot two weeks ago for assault, who is known to be connected to him. The ape got out on bail, but while he was in the cell, I may have had one of my friends mess with his phone. Any incoming our outgoing calls or messages are forwarded to me. I got the same message he did. The ape wants a gun, and is meeting him down at Sherman Oaks to make the swap. That is south of here."

"Then what are we waiting for? It is the perfect opportunity to catch this guy!" Keramon said, somewhat irritated. He was getting sick of tailing the same guy day in, day out.

"Because he will only have the weapons he is selling right now. Not enough to use as evidence to put him away for a decent amount of time." Colin said, "We need to find his stash. Where he stores all the illegal weapons. If we can find that, and connect it to him, he cannot escape it. He is going away."

Colin stared at the iPad a few seconds longer, and finally drew a circle on the map.

"Found it already?" Keramon asked, somewhat excited.

"Not quite. But I can narrow it to about a two and a half mile radius." Colin said, showing Keramon the iPad. There was a small circle, including Sylmar, Pacoima and Granada Hills. "The deal for today was for Sherman Oaks, which is south of here. We can assume he wouldn't carry the weapons with him, and when he left here, I saw him drive north on the San Diego Highway. He is probably going to the stash now. And this circle is the only spot that it is really worth taking the highway north to in this area."

Colin locked the iPad, and sat still for a second, still not starting the car. He was trying to process it all, and make sure he hadn't forgotten everything. One mistake, one slip up, and the last month will have been wasted.

"So what now?" Keramon asked eagerly. He was always itching for some action, though it would be hard to blame him, after he had been in Colin's jacket.

"We go home. Nothing else to do now." Colin said, "I will call up work, and ask them to keep an eye on the cameras of freeway exits north of here, and find which one he uses. When we know, we will wait there, and follow him."

Keramon sighed.

"So nothing else today?"

"Nothing."

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
CA, LA, Outskirts of Northridge and Granada Hills, En-Route to Brentwood.
October 28th, 2014. 12:39 PM
Affected RPers: N/A

Valerian was rather noticable in a crowd due to his height, but he drew so little attention you'd think he was part of the concrete.

Fact of the matter was, Valerian really wasn't the sociable type, size be darned. he kept to himself, and quite frankly so did everyone else. He was no bully, nor was he some kind of teddy bear. He was a giant walking among the normal people as casually as possible.

He knew Vegas better than Angeles, but the cities both felt the same, except the big shot gambling wannabes were replaced with big shot hollywood star wannabes, which were arguably somewhat better. At least the 'stars' didn't beg for money to fuel an unhealthy habit...As much. But, the city still felt quite alien. He was still carrying around a bus map, to drive the point firmly home.

He honestly didn't like the reason he moved; apparently some drug gang local to the outskirts of Vegas (where they lived) got a hold of a vaugely-defined 'weapon' of some kind, and this weapon was strong enough to blow up a few buildings uncontested, fast and hard. The gangs never bothered the gym; it was never a bastion of civilization, but the mother was a great policewoman with great aim and a powerful shotgun, and the dad and only son could pull out brass knuckles and simply punch people to unconsciousness. His parents were tough as nails and not usually intimidated by anything as well-and for that matter, he followed suit.

What the weapon those 'Molten Onyx' folk got was beyond Valerian, thoguh. Rumors-persistant but vague-referred to the weapon as some kind of Digimon, grouping it in the same pile of rumors he kept hearing before-that whatever happened at E3 with the virtual reality device for that Digimon game was not at ALL a publicity stunt and that people all over were having them pop out of the internet for some weird reason that effectively did not exist. Valerian had a hard time believing that one, and he didn't even know the game well enough to know what would be the cause. No confirmation of anything, though. The weapon the Molten Onyx had was a total mystery; no survivors to say, no camera feeds to check. All anyone could say was that it was NOT conventional weaponry; the explosion was quite bright, much brighter than most explosives. If they weren't saying 'digimon,' they were saying 'stolen, experimental military technology!' Some of the crazier sorts even insisted it was from Area 51 and that the Molten Onyx broke aliens out of captivity, and they gave them the tech as thanks.

Valerian would have been happy with a gift card. In any case, Valerian didn't believe any of that c**p. He just thought they put on a light show to distract everyone while they blew it up with something conventional, but no evidence of the type of the explosion existed. Ultimately, though, nobody knew anything.

Regardless of what WAS blowing up buildings, the prospect of having their livelyhood explode while they were inside it seemed to spur his parents into precautionary action. Rather than sit around and let the gangs get the better of them, or better yet, go out and thrash them (as his mother occasionally did), they packed their bags and set up shop in Northridge, LA, CA. Valerian wasn't far from the family gym, actually. They did it with a deliberate haste; this was a predetermined decision that they clearly thought through. But why? They didn't waver from their initial, obvious reasoning, but something felt a bit deeper than that.

Regardless of the past, he had a present: what he was intending to do at this moment was figure out the bus system so he wouldn't be hopelessly lost. If you knew how the local public transport systems worked, you could get anywhere. Valerian was still pretty new, though. It was his mission to get to every neighborhood in LA before two weeks were over-not at all hard. He was already a week into it and he had covered a good deal of the northern half of LA.

He found the nearest bus stop and just sat down, waiting to get to Brentwood...

Bianca Stevens
October 28, 12:45pm
Los Angeles, Northridge Area

"This is the place, Vulna." Bianca said to her partner, who was currently Viximon. Vulna sat on her lap, pretending to be a stuffed toy, only talking and moving when nobody was looking.

"You never exactly told me what the deal is with this place." Vulna said, somewhat annoyed. Bianca wasn't used to having a partner in crime just yet, and sometimes forgot the important details.

"Some girl left her boyfriend, and forgot to take her jewellery box." Bianca replied, "According to her, when she returned to try and get it back, he claimed she already took it and refused to let her inside."

Bianca pulled out of her pocket a picture of the jewellery box she downloaded off an internet shop, and showed Vulna, who looked at it.

The duo sat on a park bench opposite the apartment. From what she had been told, her clients ex-boyfriend was heavily hormonal, and as dumb as a rock. The whole reason she left was because she found him and another girl in their bed. Bianca didn't see to much of a challenge in getting in to take a look around.

"Vulna, I need you to get in the bag, and not make a sound." Bianca said, opening the bag. Vulna sighed, but complied, jumping in, and taking a few seconds to squirm around and get comfortable.

Bianca got up, and walked to the entrance of the apartment building, making her way straight to the fourth floor. When she found the apartment she was after, she turned off her phone, and knocked on the door. A few seconds later, the door opened, and a big guy in his early twenties opened the door. He had blonde hair and a crew cut, and wore a white singlet and jeans cut into shorts.

"What the hell do you- hey there." His attitude changed as soon as he saw her, and the scowl on his face became a somewhat forced smile.

"Hey, sorry to bother you, but I am in a bit of a situation." Bianca said as charming as she could be. "My phone died, and I need to get in contact with my mom. Could I please make a call here?"

The young man nodded somewhat crazily. His ex girlfriend was right when she said he was hormonal. And stupid.

Bianca walked into the messy apartment, and barely was able to hide her disgust. No wonder his ex left.

The young man gave Bianca the cordless house phone, to which she smiled and thanked him, before typing in her own number. The call went straight to voicemail, since she had turned it off.

"Hey mom it's me. My phone died. Just letting you know that my bus was cancelled, and the next one doesn't come for an hour after that, so I will be home late."

Bianca looked over and saw her new admirer had heard what she said. She hung up the phone and looked around to see him walking over with a glass of water. She accepted it and took a few sips before he spoke up.

"If your bus doesn't come for another hour, you are free to hang out here until then."

Bianca smiled at him, when in reality, she really wouldn't want to spend another five minutes in this dump of empty beer cans, pizza boxes and dust.
"You're sweet." She said, trying to hide her disgust, "I might just do that."

Bianca took another sip of her glass of water, before moving on to the next stage of her plan.

"Could you please point me towards the bathroom?" Bianca asked, to which the young man pointed down the hall. She put down the glass, and walked down the hall. It was a small apartment, with only one bedroom. Instead of going straight to the bathroom, she had a quick look through the bedroom, where she found nothing linked to the jewellery box. Next, she went to the bathroom, and searched it top to bottom. After a few minutes, she found it, buried behind some cleaning products, in the cupboard under the sink.

"I could take it now, but then it makes me a suspect." she thought to herself, as she had idea. She took the jewellery box and walked out to the mess that was the lounge room.

"There was no soap, so I looked in the cupboard and found this. Is it your girlfriends?" Bianca asked holding it out.

"No it is... It was my mothers." He said. Even if Bianca didn't know the truth, she would have been able to tell he was lying. "It was given to me after she passed away."

Bianca placed the jewellery box on the coffee table, and sat down, really wishing the next few minutes would go quickly.

After five minutes, she looked at her watch with fake shock.

"Crap, my bus leaves in ten minutes." She said, getting up. "Thanks for helping me out. I owe you one."

Before he could say anything, Bianca had gotten up and walked out the door, powerwalking to the lift once out of sight. She knew what she needed. Tonight she would make her move.

October 28th, 2014. Some time in the afternoon. (Does the exact time really matter?)
Name: Tim Wolfe
Location: Los Angeles, Northridge

It was a bright and sunny afternoon, just the way Tim liked it. The boy had gotten out of school early, which was something he wasn't expecting. He normally didn't get out of school until close to three, Now he suddenly had plenty of time to kill. Which was just fine with him, because he usually liked to spend time outside. As he was walking along, the boy started singing a song from a certain TV show he would never admit to anyone he watched. This wasn't something he normally did, but he figured since there weren't too many people around, and the mood was right, what's the harm in breaking out into song right there.

♪There's music in the treetops
And there's music in the vale
And all around the music fills the sky
There's music by the river
And there's music in the grass
And the music makes your heart soar in reply!♪

His song was interupted by the sound of a dog barking. "Arf!"

Startled by the sudden noise, Tim jumped up and squealed. "GAH!" He looked around to see if there was anyone around who might have seen him make a fool of himself. There wasn't, but what he did say made him smile. "Hey girl! How've ya been since the last time I saw you?" Tim said to a familiar grey puppy he had sometimes seen near his house. This dog always seemed to hang around the house, and Tim started feeding her. She was probably a lonely stray that wanted a little attention, and she probably smelled other dogs coming from his house. "I got ya something!" He took out a plastic container from his blue backpack, opened the lid, and pulled out a piece of chicken that was leftover from last nights dinner, and offered it to the dog. He always carried a some food on him, for himself, and for any stray animals he might encounter, as well as so Alice had something to eat.

The puppy sniffed it first, then started eating up the meat as if she never had a decent meal in her life. Tim smiled and giggled to himself as he watched the dog eat, then she licked his hands when she was finished. "Aw, your very welcome." For a moment, Tim was happy. Animals were his life. They were the best friends he had ever had. Humans however, were an entirely different matter. While he knew there were good people in the world, a lot of the ones he knew were judgemental jerks. If any one of them had caught him singing period, let alone a song from a little girl's show, he'd never hear the end of it.

As Tim continued walking, his canine companion followed him, nuzzling at his ankles. Suddenly, a high pitched, feminine voice shouted from inside Tim's backpack. "ARE WE DONE YET?!" This startled both Tim, and the stray dog.

Tim took off his backpack, removed the source of the voice from inside. He pulled out a small orange and white creature with a long horn on top of it's head. A Tsunomon he named Alice that he received a few months ago. He couldn't leave her home alone, because one of his parents might find her, and he wasn't sure how he would explain this to them. He wasn't sure how she got here either. Somehow, she had come out of the Digimon Game, as if by magic. It was a miracle he managed to sneak her in and out of school without being noticed. "Shh!" Tim hushed to his Digimon. "Could you try not to yell, please? I don't want someone finding you, and the two of us getting into trouble."

"But, I've been waiting for you to finish school all day! I'm bored, and I wanna do something fun!" Alice protested. "Besides, what can possibly go wrong if someone does see me?! I'mma Digimon, I can handle anything!"

Tim narrowed his eyes. He wasn't so sure about Alice's claim. She was only an In-training level Digimon. "We'll do something once we get home, ok? Please, just... don't make too much noise, ok?" He said as he put her back in the bag.

"Alright, but you owe me big time for this!"

Tim breathed a sigh of relief, and continued walking. He had been lucky that he hadn't been busted with his Digimon so far, but he wasn't sure how long his luck would last. After a few minutes of walking, he soon found himself in front of a game shop marked with a red sign. Hm... well... I am out of school early... My parents aren't expecting me back for a while... Maybe I can get a new game that Alice and I will both like... He thought to himself. He was about to walk inside, but he soon a saw a notice on that said they didn't allow pets in the store. He looked to his side, and saw that the stray dog was still following him. Not to mention the other pet hidden inside his backpack. He knew they both wouldn't be able to fit in there along with all his school things... Why do so many stores not allow pets?! The boy pouted. They don't hurt anybody! He bent down, and patted the small dog on the head. "That mean place won't a let a cute puppy like you in there. Could you do me a favor, and wait for me? Please?"

The dog yipped happily, and licked Tim's face.

"Great! Thank you so much! I'll be right back." He nodded to the dog, walked inside the store, and went to look at the shelf that held the used games for the Wii U to see if there was anything worth buying.

Alice peeked out from the top of Tim's bag. "Used?! Really?! Get something new! Who wants to play some crap game someone else didn't want?!" The boy was surprised at how much she had learned in the short amount of time she had been here. Though, she may know so much about Video Games, as she came from one herself.

"Ssh! Keep your voice down, please..." Tim whispered to his bag. "There are people in here... Besides, I can't afford anything new..."

The mobile phone on the battered wooden beside table started vibrating, blasting out the theme tune to The Dark Knight. With a lazy grunt and a tremendous amount of effort, the inhabitant of the bed grabbed the phone, clicked 'Dismiss' on the alarm, put it back in its place, and rolled back over. He lay there for ten minutes. At exactly 12pm, the alarm blared from the desk again. Disgruntled and shocked, the inhabitant sat up, muttering about alarms and 'how stupid the damn things were.' With a large yawn and a stretch, he opened his eyes. Staring at the mirror on the wall opposite him, he stared at the crimson eyes in the reflection and ruffled his hair. He grunted again, still grumpily muttering in a half-awake haze. With another stretch and yawn, he kicked off the covers and pulled himself off his bed, his pyjamas hanging loosely off of him.

See, to Tyler Phoenix, it wasn't so much that it was 12pm and he was rudely awakened. It was more that he was awake. He dreamed vividly, often awoken by the alarm at the climax of his adventures, as he was fighting a villain (or in some cases, a hero) and about to gain some kind of unworldy victory. He glared at the mirror again, before kicking open his bathroom door and clambering into his shower. Moments later, he emerged again, dried off and back in his pyjamas. He looked around his room. A Digimon poster on the wall, surrounded by many other various references, from Adventure Time and Batman through to Doctor Who and Star Wars, an assortment of bands and movies, and random things, such as police tape and a roadworks sign. His unmade bed, with its black and grey sheets. The battered furniture from previous dorm holders, his desk in particular with various messages and images, not all being wholly appropriate for others to see, he figured. He then observed his wardrobe, and smirked. He was an Art student, so he thought he would be able to get away with what had happened to it, if he was lucky. One of the doors of the wardrobe had an almighty claw mark down it, much like that of a tiger's. The reason for this, Tyler knew, was his Digimon. He smirked once more, before crouching and looking under his bed.

"Alive under there?" he said, laughing a little. The response was more than satisfactory. A pair of deep red eyes open and looked back at him, before a swift motion had him being toppled over by a rather large, black lizard. His partner, BlackGuilmon, was hugging him rather tightly, being careful not to cut him open with his razor-sharp claws. Tyler laughed again, pushing the Digimon off. He smiled, getting a smile back from his partner, before he turned back to the wardrobe. He opened it, staring at his clothes. From behind him, BlackGuilmon hummed a little.

"Let me guess. Today is going to be some kind of band tee, your three-quarter length cargos, the converses, your gloves... The scarf, of course, thinking you look like some kind of warrior hero-"

"Shut up!" Tyler said, laughing at BlackGuilmon's rather accurate guessing. Tyler pulled out the various items, choosing his Bio-Hazard tee over a band tee. He paused before grabbing one of his bandanas from the top shelf. Quickly dressing, he paused to look in the mirror, adjusted his hair, and grinned. "I need food... My stomach is roaring like a really p***ed-off Balrog." He turned to BlackGuilmon. "You know the routine. Cleaner comes in, drop whatever it is you're doing, stand where you usually do, look like you're some kind of model or sculpture, or whatever it is you do... I'm still not too sure."

BlackGuilmon nodded, grinning, scratching behind one of his jagged, black ears with a long claw. "I know the drill." Tyler nodded, picked up his Digivice, clipped it so it hung underneath his tee, and grabbed his rucksack, slipping out of his dorm room and locking it behind him.

****

The time was about 12.30pm and Tyler was sitting on a small park bench, enchilada in hand. He was rather fond of Mexican foods, and he was sprawled across the bench, mobile phone in one hand, messaging a friend. In the other, the enchilada sat, half-eaten, dripping grease onto the floor. Somehow, Tyler was stick-thin still. High metabolism, his doctor said. His parents just thought he knew how to burn off the excess calories. The answer was somewhere between the two, he thought personally. He paused and his pale face went even paler when the mother of the young boy he had pushed off the bench to sit on it appeared. He smiled sheepishly as she approached him.

"So, you think you can just go around and push young children off benches?" What kind of...." Tyler had heard it all before. Sure, it wasn't the right thing to do, but the lad wouldn't share the bench, and Tyler needed somewhere to sit, and he didn't fancy the grass of the park field, so...

"Now, ma'am, I'm sure it isn't quite what it looks like...." he began, before the woman started raising her voice again. Before she could approach any further, Tyler leapt to his feet, darting away. In the panicked rush, the enchilada went flying to the floor. He could still hear the woman following him and screaming at him as he ran away, the young boy running by her side, red-faced and tearful from the fact he had been forcibly removed from the bench he had been relaxing on. As Tyler managed to duck out of sight down a little side-street, he sighed. Post-panic, he realised that somewhere along the way he'd taken a turn down a road he had never really seen before. He was, essentially, lost. He then swore to himself. The enchilada was gone, lost and alone on the cold concrete pathway back at the park, dribbling grease and fat onto the pavement it sat on. In truth, he knew, it would end up being eaten, but he was annoyed it had been a waste of money. Maybe he had acted too rashly... He frowned, took out his Digivice, and checked for BlackGuilmon's location. Not caring for a specific way there, he walked in the general direction back towards university, hoping he'd either bump into someone he knew somewhere along the way, or see a road he recognized. He wasn't hopeful of this, as he'd ran the entirely wrong way to head back to uni, but he shrugged to himself.

"Afternoon stroll.... and I've only been up around 30 minutes.... Brilliant." Scowling, he started to walk, muttering to himself about his alarm again, and that if it hadn't woken him up he wouldn't be in the mess he was in.

The store’s door opened with the light sound of a bell ringing, and quickly closed behind her. It was a fairly clean and spacious place, with the games and various merchandises laid out in an organised way. Robyn noticed it was fairly empty today, but then again, most people were probably either in class or at work.

It didn’t take long for the young woman to make her way towards the 3DS section, which was nearest the counter. Robyn had become fonder of handheld consoles lately; it was convenient being able to play on the bus and in between courses. Plus, the games tended to be priced a bit more reasonably.

After a few moments of glancing, a title managed to catch her eye. Rune Factory 4, she’d heard many good things about the game, but never did buy it. Being a fan of Harvest Moon, it was rather tempting…

Before committing, the brunette decided to see if she could find any titles on the “previously enjoyed” shelves. Though some weren’t too fond of getting their games used, Robyn didn’t mind so much. Once in a while, one could find a neat title at a fair discount.

Walking toward the back of the store, where the second-hand games were kept, Robyn noticed two girls in the PC section. They appeared to be around her age, and trying to strike a conversation was tempting, but in the end, Robyn chose to keep her mouth shut. She didn't want to bother them and/or interrupt their searching.

Moving closer to used games, the brunette heard a strange voice, quickly followed by that of a teenage male. Odd, there didn’t seem to be anyone around him…

“Is everything alright?” she found herself posing the dark-haired boy. Everything seemed okay, but then again, voices didn’t just pop out of nowhere and she had heard him reply. The thought of a Digimon did quickly cross Robyn’s mind, although she did find it unlikely…

"Why are we here?" Keramon asked when Colin parked his car out the front of the game store. "Well while you're here, can you get me some food? I'm starving!"
"I need to pick something up. And you ate at the cafe." Colin said with a smirk. "You can wait until we get home."
Keramon looked appalled at the idea of waiting that long.
"Ate at the cafe?" Keramon said, "You gave me one mouthful you stingy pr*ck!"
Colin looked at Keramon, then burst into laughter. Keramon's attitude always amused him, even when it was out of line and unprofessional.

"Look, I have a backpack that you could probably fit in. I will have my back towards the snack shelf, so take a peek and pick something, got it?" Colin said.

Keramon nodded and climbed into the backpack that was on the car floor, as Colin got out of the car, and grabbed it, throwing it on his back and locking the car.

"Are we there yet?" came Keramon's muffled voice from the bag.
"No."
"What about now?"
"No."
"What about now?"
Colin was looking at the PS3 games, and picked up the Elder Scrolls Anthalogy. $99 for all five games, and their expansions. He was definitely tempted.
"No. I will let you know when you can see the snacks. Stop talking. It looks like I'm talking to myself."
Colin was tempted beyond belief. It was the last copy left, and the back said it was out of production. In the end he put it down. His car payment was due at the end of the week, and he wouldn't be able to afford both. Instead he made his way to the counter, back facing the shelf with chocolate bars. He jabbed his bag, and heard Keramon whisper a word that earned him another jab. The zip slowly opened, and Keramon peeked out.
"Could I get a Digimon card Booster pack?" Colin said to the person behind the counter, and pointed at the one he wanted through the glass. The clerk unlocked the case and pulled out the packet, taking the $5 note off Colin.
"Turkish Delight." Keramon whispered as zipped up the bag again.

Colin grabbed a turkish delight from the shelf, and put that on the counter with a few coins.

"Sir, can I please check your bag before you leave?" the clerk said. Colin froze.
"Do you have to? It is full of my sweaty gym clothes. I am trying to contain the stink." Colin lied, hoping to get away from it.
"Sorry sir. Store policy." the clerk replied, somewhat annoyed.

Colin sighed, and put his backpack on the counter. The clerk opened it, and Keramon looked up.
"Who's this jack*ss?" Keramon said. The clerk screamed.
"You really couldn't have pretended to be a stuffed toy, could you?" Colin hissed.
"Hey, thats a good idea!" Keramon said, freezing with a smile.
"I'm a stuffed toy," Keramon said out of the corner of his mouth, still attempting to look like a toy, "If you hug me, I will make you regret it."

Sable Miru
Oct. 18th/14
LA, Northridge Area
ARPers: Comatose ; Colin

Sable wasn’t a morning person. That much could have been told by the fact her alarm had been blaring for the last hour and two small seahorse like creatures were both hanging off her one sleeve. The teen yawned loudly and rolled out of bed and onto the hardwood floor. Her multi-coloured hair was in a mess, and her pajamas were the shirt she had worn the previous day, and some flannel plaid pants. The two Babydmon she had called Rift and Signia, were twins of a sort. They pretty much kept her on track throughout the day, and made sure she had breakfast in the morning.

However the morning was boring. At this point in time, Sable was roller blading down the streets of LA with skillful agility to avoid the back and forth of the sidewalks. She had her usual garb on and a backpack filled with some returns she had to make a bit of a trip away from her penthouse she was staying in with her aunt. Her parents were away on business as usual, but her aunt had let her stay with her while that crazy convention was going on. Ever since that day, Sable knew she had a duty… Digimon were a thing, and she was going to find all the things about the things and be the master of the things. At least in her head anyway. Her aunt also had a Digimon in some sense; a little yellow and black bug that they called Nemeros, or Nemmy for short. They had determined he was a Virus type Digimon, of which were usually hostile and aggressive. Nemmy had his mood swings, but Sable’s aunt managed to keep him happy.

Sable had been skating casually for at least fifteen minutes before she found her way back to the game store. Signia and Rift were hiding in the back of her sweater, since the shop liked to check for bags and could Sable blame them? No, they had some good old nostalgic games that would make a pretty penny on eBay. In the store at the time was another guy with a backpack at the counter. The place didn’t often rent games, but Sable’s Aunt owned the store, so she got a bit of leeway granted she left her information just in case something happened.

“Hey, I’m gonna set there just back here for you. You can take them off my account. Gonna do my usual look around.”

“Yep, I know the drill.” The cashier responded politely.

There were cards, goodies, and all sorts of hobby things around. Sable liked her aunt’s taste in business choices. Sable had her hat on under her hood, which allowed both Signia and Rift to rest their heads on either one of her shoulders, out of sight while wrapped around her upper arm. This allowed for an easier time to communicate with them as well.

Sable was forced to sneeze however, as Signia was blowing air just underneath her nose while Rift was blowing into her ear.

“Gnk… guys, really? What? I thought we agreed mild ear tugging?”

“You didn’t like that.” Rift whispered.

“I recall you weren’t comfortable with it.” Signia added.

Sable rolled her eyes. “Rift was not doing the tugging mildly… anyway, what is it?”

“That man over there… I smell something in his bag.”

Sable looked over to the guy who was being asked by the clerk to open his bag. He claimed there were stinky gym clothes in there from what Sable could hear.

“So he’s got BO clothes in there probably.” She whispered back. “Though if he’s some kind of sticky fingers…”

“BO?”

“No it’s… I think it’s a Digi-“

Signia was cut off by the sounds of the clerk screaming in sheer terror. Sable turned her head directly towards it, acting on pure instinct as her entire body spun around and aimed for the backpack. She didn’t need Signia to finish to know what she was going to say, and if that backpack had that inn it, she had to grab it before any more chaos started. As for the guy who would no doubt soon be following her, she didn’t even think about. Sable was still on her skates and zoomed through the small space between them, and grabbed the stranger’s bag, zipping it back up and bolting out the door.

She got down a couple of blocks before Rift tugged on her ear so hard it caused her to lean too far to the left. Sable shooed him away with her hand and go back into her rhythm of left and right on her roller skates. The teen managed to dodge people skillfully but not without some strange looks.

“Okay so I know what you’re thinking. Sable, you just grabbed some random guy’s bag and are blading down the street with it with a possible thing inside. Now, that looks really bad, and he’s going to follow you. That, is my plan. See because he’s either a not so nice guy and not gonna follow us, or he’s gonna be a kinda nice guy, follow us and we can get some info out of him about the things.”

The explanation made sense in her head.

Keramon stuck his head out of the bag. He felt motion sick from the sudden movement. He looked around and saw his captor.

"You just made a big mistake. I am not gonna give specifics, because I wanna see the ***** hit the fan, but I will say, this is gonna be amusing for me." Keramon said with a grin, "Now all I gotta do is just wait..."

He began to laugh somewhat manically, and couldn't wait to see the result...

A little while earlier...

Before he could try and talk to the clerk, a girl snatched the bag off Colin and ran.

"Hey what the ***** are you doing?!" he screamed at her as he gave chase finding it ironic that he has told Keramon off for that language so often.

He saw the rollerblades and knew he wasn't going to catch her on foot. Instead he ran to his car, and jumped in. Key in ignition, dump the clutch, put it into first, release the clutch and floor the accelerator. The skyline's tyres screeched, as it took off.

However the crowds and thin paths made it impossible to catch her, especially in the car.

"Where are you going?" Collin yelled from the car, knowing she wouldn't hear him. He was panicking. "Why the hell is my bag any of your business?!"

He continued to drive alongside the path, looking for the girl, until he heard a horn. He looked over and saw the traffic light had just gone red. Instinctively Colin put his foot on the clutch and slammed the breaks, skidding the car to a halt. In the panic however he lost the girl, and Keramon.

"DAMN IT!" he screamed to himself, bashing his fist against the horn. The light went green, and Colin drove across the intersection, continuing to look.

Tyler wasn't amused. By the time he had even realised he roughly knew where he was, he'd wasted a long while walking around in circles with no clear aim. He knew a few locations on a main road running past where he was, it seemed. One such location was a small video games store. Leaning against a wall nearby, munching his way through a bag or Doritos, he stared at the shop, wondering whether going in was a good idea. He knew he'd blow a ton of money in there, but at the same time, he could convince himself he was just window shopping. He stared down at his Digivice absent-mindedly and noticed that BlackGuilmon was on the move - where, though, Tyler had no idea. He could see it was kind of towards him, but he was fearful of this. The last thing he - or any other Tamer - would want was to have their Digimon spotted by a lot of people. It just to happened to be a bust afternoon. Tyler shrugged it off though, BlackGuilmon was probably in the sewers or hiding in alleyways.

As Tyler stared at the Digivice he heard an almighty commotion coming from the edge of the shop. After a little bit of a bustle, a girl on roller blades burst out of the shop carrying her, wait, no, someone's rucksack, he thought. He was proven correct. A guy came tearing out of the shop and hopped into his car, racing after her. Tyler felt like laughing, but kept calm and collected - he didn't want any fights or awkward looks. He then paused. There were people looking around, and Tyler was not only holding his Digivice in one hand, but it was rather plainly on show, as he had been holding it up. He paled, hastily returning the device to his belt, eyes scanning the area to see if anyone may have noticed. Feeling safe, he sighed heavily and made his way towards the shop, slipping inside as if he hadn't seen anything unusual at all.

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
LA, Lake Balboa, En-Route to Brentwood
Affected RPers: N/A?

Onto the bus Valerian went. It wasn't terribly crowded-at least, nobody was standing and holding onto a pole. He took the closest seat, putting him right next to a man of incredible muscle mass, a six-foot-eight frame, and an oddly rounded, freckly, and bearded face, with hair that kind of reminded the guy of bronze.

He didn't initially pay much mind to him.

The other guys next to him were probably seventeen years old, both wearing black jeans and generally dark-colored jackets, and also both with those Digivices. If it wasn't for those rumors, he wouldn't have bothered to look up on Google and figure out what they looked like for future reference.

He also didn't initially pay much mind to them, either.

The bus shut its doors, and it started rolling south...

...And one of the black-pants guy's phones started ringing. He didn't take too long to answer it.

"...Hello? Oh! Oh, yes, we're leaving Northridge just now...Yes, no sir, we're nowhere near!...Alright, where do you need us to be after?...Oh? Really?...OK then, rodger!"

If he wasn't right next to Valerian, he wouldn't have noticed at all.

"Hey, Gregory, guess what?" Said the black pants guy next to Valerian.

"What, Phil?" Gregory said.

"We've got the day off after-"

Phil, the guy closer to Valerian, paused, then spoke very low. It was VERY lucky Valerian heard it.

"After they blow up that...Uh, place? Close to that game store?"

Valerian had to try hard NOT to look surprised, or like he was suddenly eavesdropping, but blowing up places sounded ...Odd. THAT sounded like something a cop should hear.

"The gym next to the game store." Gregory replied.

This had to be some elaborate joke of some kind, right? Valerian was almost instinctively thinking of the gym his parents owned...It was next to a game store. Not right next to it, though, but on the same block...

"Ah, yes, the gym! ...Say, Greg, any clue why they picked a gym to go and blow up? It's like they decided by tossing a dart at a map of Northridge, or something." Phil said.

"I dunno, man, I hear it's personal matters or somethin'." Greg replied. "...Phil...Guy with the bronze hair's looking at us funny..."

Phil look to Valerian's left, as did Valerian. At the instant he turned around, he didn't seem like he was engrossed in anything other than a game of solitaire on his phone.

"I think you might have imagined it, Greg..." Phil said, trying to sound more silent but not really getting it.

The bus started pulling over-someone requested a stop.

"...Wait, was it called...Uh, 'Fraziers' or something? The gym, I mean." Greg asked.

"Mrmmm...I...Uh...Rrrm...Uh, I think so?" Phil responded.

Fraziers. That was his gym.

Valerian took the opportunity to immediately leave the bus-come back and just check if his parents were OK, or if anything fishy was going on...

...He was panicking a little on the inside. He started running forwards fast.

LA, Northridge Area -> New Living Apartment Skyscraper [I dunno I had to name where Sable lives something]
ARPers: Comatose ; Colin

Sable was unfazed by Keramon’s head poking out of the bag, though she didn’t know it was a Keramon. Rift growled a deep growl at the Digimon, and quickly whacked him in the head with his tail to force him back into the bag. Sable took her one free hand and shoved the Babydmon back in her hood as she turned a corner to go up a hill into a more downtown area of LA. Sable looked around and didn’t see the stranger’s car anywhere. She still had to get home quickly before someone caught on.

“Rift let’s not antagonize the Digimon.”

“This one is a very virulent virus…” Rift growled in Sable’s ear. “He needs to be quiet.”

“Yeah, uh, I could guess that based on just how mouthy he is.” Sable muttered back at him. “Look, just around this block and we can get back up to the penthouse apartment, and talk to Aunt Joni.”

Signia was quick to think about another complication. “Nemeros might not like a strange Virus type in the complex.”

“Nothing some free food can’t pacify, at least for a little while.”

Sable kept to the inside of the sidewalk, furthest away from the street. As she turned down another block, a large skyscraper with a drive thru parking in the front – or at least that’s what Sable called it – was her destination. She began to slow up just a bit to avoid looking like a complete teen on the run, holding the backpack with her one arm with a firm but not constricting grip. The only time she had stopped this entire run was at the crosswalk. There were other people there, which made her slightly nervous because she had an unstable Digimon in a stolen bag under her arm, but the trip across the street went without an issue. Then it was time for the lobby.

The lobby area was a small area for the reception desk, and then a few smaller café’s to the left and right on the bottom floor. Just to either side of the desk was an elevator door on each side, as well as a long stairwell. Sable walked past the desk with a wave, and took the right elevator. She pushed the button upon entry and prayed that no one else was getting on. It was that time of day where most people in the building were away at work, or just wanting to stay in their apartment or office. To Sable’s luck, it was a straight shot up to the top floor.

She ducked her head out both ways before heading to her place of living. Quickly sliding the key into the door, she bolted in and shut it, making a beeline for the couch. Signia and Rift wriggled their way out of Sable’s sweater and plopped themselves on the table. Sable collapsed in the cushions while leaving the stolen bag next to her, taking some much needed heavy breaths. Sable’s aunt soon came into the room; a taller woman with long dark hair pulled back into a pony tail, wearing a fitted tee in a light blue on top, and light grey sweatpants on her lower half. Her complexion was fair and her brown eyes looked at Sable with conviction.

“That bag isn’t yours… and you’re out of breath. Sable what happened?” She asked in a nonchalant way. “What did you do?”

“I found a Aunt Joni… d… a thingy. Thingy in the thing.” She gasped, pointing at the stolen bag.

“A thing?”

“She found a Digimon.” Signia clarified. “It was in someone’s bag after they caused a ruckus at your store earlier.”

Joni’s eyes turned from stern to surprise in a matter of seconds. She was starting to understand what that phone call was about from earlier, with the talking monster toy. Her employees weren’t usually in hysterics but that would cause something of alarm. Before she could say anything, a Kunemon crawled up to the backpack, and unzipped it to let the kidnapped Digimon out. He hopped down onto the floor and stared at the bag for a moment, humming quietly to himself.

“Nemeros, no. Don’t you start making any threats.” Joni scolded him. “That or no more snack food for the week.”

Nemeros didn’t like when his food supply was threatened, so hung his head and immediately stopped making sounds. Signia and Rift looked at where the Keramon was, the latter more apprehensive than the former.

“So you stole someone’s bag with a Digimon in it…” Joni asked her niece with a hand on her head.

“Look, I figure if it’s someone trying to get rid of all evidence that they exist, we can nab them, or they won’t come. If it’s one of our people, then we should probably meet up anyway. I mean, it’d be nice of the network wasn’t only online people.” Sable explained defensively. “I’m just saying, we might as well let people know who have Digimon that there is a safer place with some nice digs… no, never let me say that again, I’m no gangster… that we can just, y’know hang out and sort out this new phenomenon of life.”

“You sound like a college lecturer.”

“Shushhhhshhh.”

After a while of driving, Colin's digivice began to beep. He pulled over and grabbed it out of his pocket. The display had lit up, showing a map of LA with two dots. A green one where he was, and a red one which he could only assume was Keramon. After a few seconds, the angle of the map changed from birds eye to street view, showing Keramon to be in the penthouse of an apartment building. Colin took off again, filled with rage, making his way towards the apartment building.

When he arrived, he parked the nissan, locking it behind him, and took the elevator to the top floor. When he arrived at the apartment that the digivice said Keramon was in, he pocketed it, and took out his police badge, knocking on the door.

The girl from the store opened it (discussed this with sabi), as Colin raised his police badge.

"Detective Colin Rohan, LAPD." He said, trying his hardest to stay calm, but failing, "You have twenty seconds to give me my bag back, with everything in it, and give me five good reasons not to take you away in handcuffs."

"I told you the ***** would hit the fan." Keramon yelled out to the girl, heavily amused, "You took your time though, Colin!"

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
LA, En-Route to Northridge

The one day to NOT take his f***ing phone!

Valerian just searched his pockets on the run, and could have blurted out less-than-appropriate words in anguish at the discovery all he bothered to take was his wallet and his brass knuckles.

He just kept running, thinking over what heard over and over again in his head. He had no proof aside from their words that anything was happening, but better safe than sorry on the matter. In any case, it clearly didn't sound like a joke, and it definitely DID sound like they really didn't want to be overheard.

he hadn't gone terribly far on the bus when it stopped-he had a hope of maybe at least getting his parents out of the building before it blew up, or better, catching them in the act.

While running fast enough that people were getting out of the way as much as they could, he wondered, why the gym? His dad had no grudges in the ring; he was good friends with everyone he ever went toe-to-toe with. As for his mom, she didn't make any huge busts that he knew of-there was a gang leader a while back, but that was it-and that was in Vegas! There just didn't seem to be any reason whatsoever!

Just like they said, it WAS like they threw a random dart at a map of LA and decided that they'd hit the gym!

That was his life in there-his home! Even if it happened to be a lie, he wasn't going to risk it-and that sure sounded like a legitimate bombing threat to him!

His lungs were pounding, adrenaline was burning...If he could stop whoever was responsible, he would-and the way he would, naturally, would involve a lot of face-to-fist therapy that only a real boxer could deliver.

LA, Sable's Penthouse Apartment
ARPers: Comatose ; Colin

Sable knew she had to open the door now. With what she was greeted with wasn’t exactly all sunshine stars and rainbows. Rift and Signia has digivolved into Dracomon out of protective impulse, becoming her shoulder height in anthropomorphic draconic form. There was a chain lock between them aside from the door. The teen was much calmer than Colin was, after hearing his name from the Keramon across the wide open room. Aunt Joni was slowly walking up behind Sable, but didn’t directly intervene. Nemmy was bee-lining right for the door like an angry lap dog, but was quickly picked up by the household guardian.

“Do I have to do that in order? It’s impossible for me to get your bag from here in twenty seconds… maybe thirty. But as for five reasons… anyone else out there.. nope kay.”

Sable closed the door to unlock the metal chain, and then opened it again more widely. She pointed at Signia, who was looking at Colin defensively.

“One.”

Sable pointed at Rift, who was more growly and ready to pounce than his twin sister.

“Two.”

She then pointed at the Kunemon her aunt was carrying.

“Three.”

Sable then pulled out her own Digivice, holding it within plain sight.

“Four.”

She then stopped. “Uh… five is we’ve got coffee to sit down and talk…?”

“If you’ll excuse my niece here,” Aunt Joni began, “The only reason she stole your bag was because of your Keramon in it. Perhaps you can come inside and we can sit down for a moment and talk about this without being in the doorway of possible prying eyes. As I recall hearing from my employee earlier today, the distressing “demonic swearing Cthullu child” in your bag caused some great disturbance in my shop.”

“Stealing is such a harsh way to put it.” Sable muttered, receiving a sharp elbowing from her aunt. “Wait, you already know what kind of Digimon that is?”

“Yes the database and all that, we can talk inside.” Joni shushed. “No tricks and no more rampant acts of delusional heroism on your part. Anyway, Colin was it? As I said, we can have this discussion over some coffee in the living room.”

Colin looked at the girls aunt, with a bit more calmness. At least someone here had some common sense.

"I will take you up on that coffee, once I explain to your niece how stupid her actions were." Colin said he turned to face the two digimon.

"Let me guess, you smelt Keramon?" Colin asked, before opening his jacket and revealing briefly the large revolver in its holster, "I bet you didn't smell that, did you?"

He turned to face the girl again.

"Just say that I was some thug with a gun, who wouldn't hesitate to shoot you dead." Colin said to her, "Do you really think those skates are faster than a bullet?"

"As for your threats. Digimon or no digimon, I am still a detective, and could take you in on those threats alone. Lucky for you, your aunt is a nice enough person, and I don't want to have to bother her with the paperwork of having you released." Colin said, "That, and I can't be stuffed with the paperwork, and hiding the digimon with that."

"We can put this behind us, if you give me the bag back, with Keramon, and try and spend a few more seconds thinking next time before you act. When someone is killed, it is my *ss that is put on the line to sort it out." Colin finished, as he turned to the aunt with a slight smile, "NOW I will talk over a coffee."

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
LA, Northridge, En-Route to Frazier's Gym
Affected RPers: Everyone in Northridge

He was running, he was running, he ran like a madman-

BOOM!

Valerian practically froze. A blinding white light enveloped the area, people were screaming, and it heated up to a considerable degree. The noise was much louder than Valerian ever thoguht an explosion was, almost ear-destroying, and he clamped down on his auditory processors tightly.

Just as quickly as it came, it was gone, though. His ears still rang from the sound, and his eyes were recovering from the bright flash, but otherwise Valerian and those around him were OK...

...And not two blocks away from where Valerian was were the smoking remains of a building, likely his gym.

"S**t!" Said a man behind him, as he ran past. Valerian almost blinked-it seemed to be Bronze-Hair from the bus. Had he been tailing him the whole time?

No time to contemplate, he didn't stop him or anything, so he wasn't going to stop him now.

He just ran, passing the game store, passing everything. The cops hadn't shown up yet. All that was of his Gym was a pillar of smoke and, as he got closer, figures, barely visible through it. He passed the untouched game store, he passed the half-ruined 'glass trinket' shop which Valerian never really understood, and he witnessed the pile of smoke and rubble that was now the remnants of Frazier's Gym.

Valerian was pale in the face. This was a nightmare turned blatantly real, except he never even dreamed of it at all.

He stopped just short of where the entryway would have been. He looked around. No signs of his parents...

"Valerian!" A familiar voice to his left called. It was the kind of worried, naggy tone a mother would take.

Valerian turned, and there was his mother, dressed quite casually if not for the gun and badge. She was unharmed, though very, very worried-looking herself, possibly thinking the same things Valerian was of her a minute ago.

"Valerian?" An unfamiliar voice from within the smoke called. It was a curious, dangerous tone said by villains who just discovered something VERY interesting...

Valerian and his mother both turned to the source. It was still too smoky to make it out, though it seemed to be a very tall person...Bronze Hair, just out of the corner of his eye, had stopped short of all the carnage, pistol drawn.

Valerian had no gun, so he just put on the brass knuckles. Better than nothing, he thought...

"How cute. a peashooter and a pair of brass knuckles...Against divinity." the voice said. It couldn't be very old, probably a girl before her teens...Which made the tone she took quite odd, dissonant. If Valerian was even remotely correct about the mystery speaker being a preteen girl.

"LAPD Helena Frazier, you are under arrest! Come out of there with your hands up!" Valerian's mother said, tightening her grip on her supposed peashooter.. She didn't seem even remotely phased by the explosion. Fury boiled in her eyes-Valerian himself could see that.

"Hrm...Don't really feel like it." Said another figure within the smoke. Definitely older, about Valerian's age. "In fact, howabout you just put those toys away and put YOUR hands up, eh?" He added. He sounded confident, cocky almost, but definitely in control of the situation-and reveling in it.

"COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP OR I WILL SHOOT!" Helena shouted. "THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING!"

"No!"

The last voice sounded childlike, couldn't have been older than seven or eight. Yet, it was angry-Valerian could even detect a trace of fear-and it was THIS voice that punctuated some kind of white laser wrecking Helena's with precision that simply shouldn't have been possible. The smoke was still too thick to tell what was going on...

"...Why not now?" The preteen girl said.

"...I want to torment her." The young man answered. "A quick death'll mean nothing here..."

"She'll still be dead either way..."

Bronze-hair was making his move, moving from behind his cover and disappearing into the smoke, only visible as a figure to Valerian now...His steps were silent-the mystery figures didn't notice. But, the smoke was thinning, and a crowd was gathering...

"...Maybe him first, though?" The preteen girl said.

"...Maybe...Hrm...Didn't realize she HAD a son..." The young man said. "...We don't want them seeing us..."

"Who cares?" The preteen girl said. "Nobody has anything that COULD stop him..."

"We don't know that, and I don't want to attract the theoretical people who could. No. We're leav-"

WHAM! Gunshot. Valerian flinched, but he knew it wasn't coming to him. It was Bronze-hair, likely.

The figures flinched, but nothing happened. Bronze Hair had missed.

"D**mit!" Said the young man. "...Alright, joker, stop playing hide-and-seek...We can see you!"

Another flash of light within the smoke. Valerian could now tell that the tall figure was clearly the shooter here...He could also tell the only other figure, a shorter figure, relatively speaking-it was still six-feet tall at least...

"...He...wasn't there..." The childish voice said.

Silence.

"...We can blow up the f***ing block if we wanted to, just to kill you!" The young man said. "Try that twice, I dare you!"

Valerian suddenly realize that the duo may just not be looking at him. If he had any chance whatsoever, this was it. He bum-rushed the sources as fast as he could, very lucky that he didn't trip on the pile of hot debris that was now his home in the process.

Predictably, he was stopped short. Not so predictably was WHAT stopped him short.

Just a few inches off the ground, and he was held in place by the small arm of a child four feet tall, with golden hair and blue eyes. Yet, this THING couldn't be a child. It had eight wings, a huge smattering of black tattoos all over his body, four golden rings on the wrists and ankles, a nice little wreath made of golden feathers, and of course, there was the fact that he was being lifted an inch off the ground by a flying angel thing.

OK, they weren't joking about the divinity bit...

...Valerian was having a hard time comprehending this.

I've been using the wrong last name this whole time auuugh. I'm giving comatose a chance to respond as Joni owns the building next to the gym as far as I understood things? So that's what the phone call is about at the end of the post, just giving time for a response. Also yes, Rift has a sensitive sense to viruses for character development reasons and that he's the virus side of the twins.

Sable Kael
Oct. 18th/14
LA, Sable's Penthouse Apartment
ARPers: Comatose ; Colin

Sable wasn’t one for being talked down like a child, and her Digimon weren’t for it either. Rift started growling in a low tone while Signia just looked at the man sternly. Unfortunately for Colin, a small switch in the back of her head had turned at the mentioning of threats, as did Rift’s mind. Being far more aggressive of the twins, he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind.

“You assume that was a threat she was making you idiot.” He snarled. “You also assume she isn’t prepared for such measures and is just a kid. And yes, I did smell that. It’s not a threat without the hands of you humans on it.”

“Let’s get one thing straight here, coppy.” Sable interrupted, her tone turning rather flat an almost dark. “I may look like a dumb kid, but there are a lot more things than you think I’m capable of doing. Thugs, unless proven to be incredibly unintelligent, don’t shoot blind in a crowd. Also, you are completely unaware that I keep Signia and Rift on me at all times.”

Signia decided to chime in before Sable grew any more adamant, knowing very well what was happening. “If you think for a moment we would let harm fall beyond Sable, you are very wrong. We take protective measures of her at all times in situations such as you described. While you may call her actions stupid, I would call them reckless. Her intent was in the right place for a cause of which you do not know about. She was attempting to make that clear by showing us to you in the doorway.”

Rift continued growling. “And if you say she was making threats at you, then I’ll have you singing a different tune. That, buddy, is a threat, learn the difference. Not pointing out other people have Digimon in a world of humans where we weren’t here before.”

“Okay you two, that’s enough. Sable can you come into the other room for a moment please?” Her aunt was half pulling Sable into another room before closing the door. “Rift, heel.”

The Dracomon growled and wandered off back towards the couch, with his twin sister falling behind. The room was mostly lit up by the sun, with large windows that lead out onto a rooftop patio. There was a large u shaped couch with a clean oak coffee table in front of it. Joni had placed three coffees on the table, with a small sugar bowl and cream between each of the cups. Nemeros was attempting to nip at cubes, but Joni was constantly pushing him away, eventually able to pacify his sugar cravings with a bowl of M&M’s. As the Kunemon was satisfied on the floor, Joni sat and motioned for Colin to do the same.

“As much as the incident seemed foolish, I would suggest to not speak down to Sable like that. I can easily get something on you for disturbing the peace in my work place, LAPD or not. She has a lot more intelligence than you think she does and has been through trial ordeals we wold rather keep in the past, just like this event. Though I do appreciate you not arresting her on petty thievery, I do know my fair share of the law. I am a lawyer of sorts. Also your bag is right here, we left it open for your Keramon to come out, but he seemed comfortable in there.”

Joni took another sip of her coffee before continuing. “As for pointing out Rift, Signia and Nemeros, and her device, those were not threats. Far from it. Though what I’m going to tell you, I’d like to be left out of the hands of the police and government. Sable and I are part of a small network, trying to find out everything we can about Digimon and learn how to cooperate with them. As we’ve hypothesized, not all may want to do that, as with how Nemeros used to be. I’d like to say I’m trying to make this a safe headquarters for people with Digimon to just… not have to worry about the outside world.”

The Kunemon was too busy gorging himself on candy to notice the conversation was about him. “Oh, I also wasn’t sure if your Keramon wanted anything so I brought another cup of coffee just in case. We do have other snacks if that doesn’t suit his fancy. Virus Digimon that I’ve met so far seem to prefer sweet candies. Anyway, as I said before, we are trying to network all information on Digimon as possible. Having found people in the immediate area, in person is something of a highly uncommon occurrence.”

Just then, the phone rang, followed by Sable coming out the door of the room she was in, and into the kitchen. “I got it, I got it.”

While that was happening, no one seemed to notice Rift staring off to the right of the window, slowly making his way as far up against the window as he could, growling at something that didn’t seem to be there…

Name: Alicia and Rebecca Stratos
Location: Los Angeles, Northridge Game Store
Affected Characters: Robyn Caron and Tim Wolfe

Rebecca was reminded very quickly of a rather important fact of life, being that it never quite went as one expected it to. At least, that’s what she got from a guy walking to the counter with something in his bag that legitimately caused the cashier to scream in terror, shortly followed by a girl no older than Alicia dashing by and stealing the aforementioned bag.

“Well, that was a thing,” Alicia murmured as she stared at the opened door.

Rebecca shook her head. “I’m going to tell Impmon and Patamon to get over here, just in case.”

“I doubt we have anything to worry about," Alicia scoffed. “Even if we did, the two of them are gone now.”

“They're hardly the only ones in this city who could cause problems,” Rebecca said dubiously.

“Yeah, I know.” Alicia shrugged. “But what are the odds of anyone else like that being in this store? Anyway, I already have any of the interesting games for PC, so I’m gonna check out the Wii U games now. Any recommendations, oh great social one?”

Rebecca waved absently at her sister, already bringing out her phone. “I don’t know. See if there’s any news on when Smash Bros is going to come out for it or something.”

“Because it’s not like we already have the game for the 3DS or anything...”

Taking a moment to roll her eyes at her sister, Rebecca turned to see that the cashier was frantically talking on the phone with somebody about some sort of Cthulhu something, which was more likely than not a Digimon. That pretty much cemented the fact that it would be best to have Impmon around to keep an eye on the situation, if not Patamon. On second thought, her own partner would probably have a difficult time trying to get around the city unnoticed, so she would wait until an emergency to call him in.

Seeing as any attempts to actually talk with her sister's partner would lead to nothing but frustration, Rebecca made the arguably wise choice to simply text Impmon.

Rebecca: Someone brought a digimon to a game store in Northridge.
Rebecca: No trouble caused, but I want you here to keep an eye on the situation.
Alicia: yeah all right

Musing idly that her sister would probably cringe at the lack of proper grammar that her Digimon used, Rebecca focused in much more intently on the only other two customers in the store other than her and her sister, and decided to at least go over and make conversation. Somebody else was also entering the store, but he didn't have the rather dubious achievement of actually seeing what went on.

“Hey,” she said as she walked up to the pair. “So, that was a thing.”

Location: Los Angeles, Northridge Game Store
Affected Characters: Robyn Caron and Rebecca Stratos

As Tim browsed the selection of games, and so far seeing nothing worth buying, he was suddenly approached by one of the customers in the store. “Is everything alright?” The gesture starled the boy, and he jumped up, and let out a high pitched squeal. "GAH!" Once Tim turned around, and saw that it was a girl that looked only slightly older than him, he felt his face flush, embarrassed that he had done that in front of a stranger. Now he had to come up with an answer. "Oh... well... uh..." He mumbled as he struggled with how to answer. Surely the reason she was asking was because she saw him talking to his backpack earlier, and he can't exactly tell random strangers that he was hiding a digital monster in his bag. As he struggled to come up with an answer, he got a temporary distraction when a guy walking to the counter with something in his bag that caused the cashier to scream in terror, shortly followed by a different girl dashing by and stealing the bag. It was then followed by another girl joining the two of them. “Hey,” she said as she walked up to the pair. “So, that was a thing.” She said referring to the bizzare situation that occured moments before.

And then Alice decided to make her presence known. Much to Tim's displeasure. "I know right! That dude probably had one of my fellow Digimon in his bag, and that guy screamed like a baby! Has he never seen a Digimon before?" She said from inside Tim's bag. "Oh, don't worry about whimpy pants over there. He's perfectly fine. He's just scaredy..." The Tsunomon then decided to hop out of the bag, and show her face. "Surprise! He's Tim, and I'm Tsunomon, but he calls me Alice. How's it goin?"

Tim's turned bright red from embarrassment. He signaled for his Digimon to get back in the bag before any more people see, but she wasn't listening. Not like it would do any good now that everyone in the store had seen her.Alice bounced around at Tim's feet, and drew as much attention to herself as much as a small creature with no arms possibly could. "I'm sick of all this hiding! Guess what guys! I exist! Whatcha gonna do about it?"

"Well you must be able to see how gesturing at a growling Digimon could be seen as a threat." Colin said, slightly annoyed.

He sat down, and took a sip of his coffee, before grabbing the chocolate bar from his pocket and throwing it to Keramon.

"Has he been behaving himself?" Colin asked, looking at his partner, "Keramon has quite the sailor's mouth."

"As for keeping Digimon out of the police and governments eyes, I agree." Colin said, "Keramon gives me a hand, though most of the time it just involves him asking for food and blowing my cover, but the department know nothing of him."

Colin and Keramon had a sarcastic love-hate relationship. Colin was Keramon's best friend, though he hid that with his sarcastic comments and vulgar language.

"What can I say, I enjoy keeping you on your feet," Keramon said cheekily, "And the food you give me to shut me up is always a nice bonus."

Colin thought about what had been said, about finding people with Digimon.

Suddenly his phone rang. The caller ID had one word which made him know to pick it up. 'Chief'.

"Sorry, I gotta take this." Colin said, answering the phone.

"What's up chief?" Colin asked, partially cautious. Usually he wasn't contacted by the force when he was undercover unless it was important.

"There has been a terrorist attack in Northridge. A building was blown to smithereens. A gym, next to some game store."

"Crap, I was just there not even half an hour ago!" Colin said.

"Anyway, we need more uniformed officers at the scene. It is chaos."

"You know I can't do that!" Colin said, "If I seen by the guy I've been tailing, the last few months will have been for nothing!"

"That wasn't a request, that was an instruction." The chief said, starting to sound annoyed. "If you don't do it,
I will have your position reviewed, got it?"

Colin hung up the phone, with a scowl.

"Your prick of a boss?" Keramon asked from his seat in the bag. Keramon hadn't liked him ever since the chief accidentally saw him, and asked Colin why he had 'a *****ed up voodoo demon child doll' in his car.

"Yeah it was him." Colin replied, turning to Joni, "A building near your store was just attacked. I gotta go there and help sort it out."

He grabbed a piece of paper and a pen from his pocket. According to Hot Fuzz, this was a police officers greatest tool.

"I like what you are trying to do. If I can give you a hand, contact me." Colin said as he scribbled his contact number.

He picked up his bag, and Keramon in it, and made his way to the door.

"If I see anyone with a Digimon that won't destroy half of LA, I will send them to you." he said, as he walked out the door.

The boy among the two seemed jumpy before Rebecca even showed up, and she felt kind of bad for making him even more so. The way the poor boy was shifting around awkwardly before she showed up was noting compared to how he was after. She had to admit that his deer-in-the-headlights look was rather amusing, although she refrained herself from letting that amusement known. Unlike her sister would have.

Then his bag spoke. “I know right! That dude probably had one of my fellow Digimon in his bag, and that guy screamed like a baby! Has he never seen a Digimon before?”

Rebecca groaned, placing her hand over her face. She had called Impmon to be in the same location as whatever Digimon was saying that. Assuming the two didn’t try to kill one another, they were going to get along like a house on fire, which would be bad for all tamers involved.

"Oh, don't worry about wimpy pants over there. He's perfectly fine. He's just scaredy..." The Digimon then decided to make tis presence seen by jumping out of the bag. "Surprise! He's Tim, and I'm Tsunomon, but he calls me Alice. How's it goin’?"

A sigh managed to escape Rebecca at that. It was going to be a bad day if Impmon and that Tsunomon were allowed to interact, and she couldn’t think of a single way she was going to stop them from doing so.

Of course, that reaction had nothing on that of the boy who was identified by his partner as being Tim, who had gone bright red and was attempting to coax his partner back into the bad without speaking. As though it would have mattered after the thing introduced itself that loudly in the middle of the store. Then again, Alicia didn’t seem to notice, so he may have been able to get away with it until the cashier asked to check his bag.

In any case, the Tsunomon seemed to be amused by its tamer’s antics, and started bouncing around the area. "I'm sick of all this hiding! Guess what guys! I exist! Whatcha gonna do about it?"

“I like this guy!”

Rebecca sighed, turning to Impmon. “You got here quick.”

“I was following you guys a few blocks back to make sure nothing happened.” The Digimon shrugged unashamedly. “I can’t believe I missed somebody having a genuine freakout, though! That would have been hilarious!”

“Yes, I know what you and my sister find funny,” Rebecca said slowly.

The full severity of the situation hit Rebecca while she was standing there. Two Digimon were standing right out in the open in the middle of a game store, with one of their partners seemingly too meek to get his to hide away, and the other one having a partner who would most likely not see the point of making her hide after what happened.

Rebecca then turned to the girl who was already talking with Tim, an apologetic smile adorning her face. The girl was part of this whether she had a Digimon partner or not. “I’m really sorry about this...”

Tyler Phoenix
Location - Northridge Game Store
ARPers: Eternity, Wizardmon, Sieses
Tyler stared around the shop casually - he had seen the games shop before, but didn't usually enter it - too many gym-people nearby. he didn't like jocks or bodybuilders, and having a gym next to the shop meant he had to put up with them more often than not. He'd rather order online from the comfort of his desk, where he could eat a bagel or chow on some snacks without getting a look or disapproving comment from someone. Today, however, there seemed to be a lot of excitement;post-event, the shop had only a handful of people in, but they were chatting away animatedly, out of sight of the store clerks. Tyler kept back, silently overhearing the conversation, and much to his disbelief, figuring out the people around him were all Tamers... He didn't want to believe it, that there were others so close to him, but in many ways it made sense. If there was to be a group, then it could only mean they were chosen for some kind of reason. That said, Tyler didn't want anything uprooting him, he was fine doing his arts course and letting BlackGuilmon have roam of the area if he stayed hidden.

Cautiously, he ducked down out of sight, creeping around the shop to try and get closer to the group - he was aware of the presence of other Digimon now and knowing Digimon, they'd notice him if he made himself too obvious. So, he turned to look at the selection of games on the Nintendo 3DS and checked his Digivice. BlackGuilmon seemed to be on the way here. Something was drawing the Digimon to Tyler, he realised.

"What the hell is going on..." he muttered to himself, before hearing a cough behind him. One of the shop clerks was looking down at him. "Oh.... hi there..." He said, avoiding eye contact.

"Why are you sitting on the floor like this?" the clerk started. "In fact, don't answer, there's already been enough chaos for today." He frowned. "Go and talk to your friends, or whoever they are, and stop acting so suspiciously. I don't expect to find any of the 3DS games missing when I return." Tyler opened his mouth to comment, but paused and stopped. It was always his appearance. He looked like a thief from some kind of urban fantasy, so he only assumed people in a games store would treat him as if he was when he was acting weirdly around-store. Either way, he slowly walked towards the group who had gathered around, Digimon clustered around them. He kept his distance, but was out in the open now.

No way to hide... he thought to himself. Today was going to be a long day.

The situation that was unfolding here at the game shop continued to get stranger with each passing moment. First, there was the voice coming from the boy’s direction, but nobody else in that area. Then there was the incident at the counter, which consisted of the cashier discovering some sort of creature inside a customer’s bag, causing him to freak out. However before the scene could escalate, a girl whom had entered the store not long before, snatched his sac and run off, causing him to take chase. And if that wasn’t enough, almost immediately after, a Tsunomon was hoping at the boy’s feet, proclaiming she refused to stay hidden. A decision which the earned approval of an Impmon, which has just appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. This Digimon, Robyn assumed, belonged to one of the girls whom had approached them, commenting on what had happened at the counter.

She found herself rather concerned; having these digital monsters out in the open like this could draw unwanted attention. From more than just a cashier, whom Robyn had just heard on the phone, frantically explaining what he’d found inside the man’s bag. If he’d contacted the authorities, they could be in big trouble…

However, Robyn couldn’t deny that she was glad to meet other Tamers. She’d only known two others that had Digimon to date, Amy and her boyfriend, and the latter barely counted.

“I’m really sorry about this...” one of the girls spoke, looking right at Robyn.
“No need to apologise,” the brunette started, putting a small smile on her face and quickly reaching into her satchel. Within a moment, she’d retrieved a Digivice, grey and cyan in colour. “I’m part of this as well”

“We should probably try and get out of here as soon as possible…” she added, though was wondering how they’d conceal the Digimon. It was important they leave, if the cashier had called authorities… best be gone before they showed up. Turning to face the counter, Robyn noticed another guy, his hair a shade of deep crimson. There was something about the colour that appealed to her and she found herself smiling again.

And found it fading when she released that, though there was a little distance separating them, she pretty sure he’d been able to eavesdrop if he wanted to…

“Hello” she greeted, taking a step in his direction. The fact that he’d not freaked out upon hearing the Digimon, assuming he had, was a good sign.

And then… all he** broke loose with one giant blast and the slight rumbling of the ground…

“Evacuate NOW!” the cashier’s voice was loud and panicked as he gestured toward the door. The shop’s large glass windows were all cracked, shards lining the inside of the store and the sidewalk outside. There were screams in the streets as the public frantically tried to distance themselves from the epicenter of the explosion…

OOC: The only reason I am having Renamon digivolve so early is due to the fact that as it stands, she cannot go past the champion stage. I am using the same logic of Pokemon in that a lot of two stage Pokemon evolve early to compensate for not having a third stage. Colin and Keramon can achieve Mega, so I will wait a fair while before Keramon starts digivolving.

"So when do we strike?" Vulna asked enthusiastically from Bianca's bag. She got too much enjoyment out of theft, more so than Bianca. Vulna was living proof of how much a Tamer can influence the morals of their partner.

"Tonight." Bianca said confidently, "His ex told me he tends to drink himself to sleep. We will wait until about 2am when he is too drunk to-"

BANG!

The building she was walking past, a small family-owned gym she had walked past a million times, had exploded. Bianca was tossed off her feet like a rag-doll, and landed a few meters away in the middle of the street, hitting her head, and blacking out instantly.

...

....

...

...

"Wake up!"

The voice was distant and distorted.

"Come on Bianca! Wake up!"

Suddenly the blackness disappeared, and Bianca was blinded by sunlight. After a few seconds, her eyes adjusted, and her now-rookie partner was kneeling over you.

"Bianca! Are you okay?" Vulna asked, helping her sit up.

"I think so," Bianca responded groggily, "I have a terrible headache, and-"

Suddenly she saw it. The shard of glass in her left arm. The shape of an isosceles triangle, with the longest side being nearly 3 inches long. After seeing it, the pain suddenly made itself present.

"What happened?" Bianca asked, wincing at the pain.

"Why don't you ask him?" Vulna said irritated, pointing towards a large teenage guy.

Suddenly the giant was lifted off his feet by an invisible force. The smoke cleared slightly, revealing the outline of what looked like a child sized angel, who appeared to be causing this.

Bianca grabbed her digivice out of her pocket, and pointed it towards the angel. The digivice quickly processed what it was scanning and returned a result.

'Lucemon'

"It's a Digimon Vulna." Bianca said, as another wave of pain came through.

"Then a digimon should take care of it..." Vulna said, standing up.

"Don't." Bianca snapped, "Look at how easily it is lifting up that guy, and he is huge!"

"The digivice says he is a rookie." Vulna responded smugly, "And I got a good feeling. What's the worst that could happen?"

Bianca was silent for a second. Finally, she responded.

"Okay. But if the battle starts to turn, or more people arrive we run. Got it?" Bianca said sternly. She stood up, and made her way to the path, leaning on a light post. Though she didn't say it, she was starting to feel light headed.

"Deal." Vulna said as she turned to face Lucemon.

Vulna began to run, picking up speed. Suddenly, she was enveloped in a bright light.

The light disappeared, and in Vulna's place stood a quadrupedal yellow fox, with nine tails, each carrying a purple fireball.

"Fox Tail Inferno!" Vulna shouted as the fireballs launched off her tail towards Lucemon...

OOC: Since Tazz introduced Lucemon, I will let him control the battle. Please don't kill Vulna though, okay? Bunnying permission for Vulna given to Tazz for the fight.

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
LA, Northridge, En-Route to Frazier's Gym
Affected RPers: Comatose, anyone else outside.

Valerian first thought that he was hallucinating, but he had a clear-ish view of all three speakers-and this angel thing had to be number three.

The angel kid was angrily glaring at Valerian, holding him in place with a hand on his chest-the rest of Valerian's body refused to move...

There were two others; A young preteen girl and a young man. They both had brown hair and hazel eyes, so Valerian took a crack at it and guessed they were siblings. They both wore onyx-black jeans and black leather jackets, but no identifying symbols...The young man was two whole feet taller than his supposed sibling. The young man had a buzz cut; the young girl looked to have cut her hair barely, if at all.

"VALERIAN!" His mother screamed from outside. Of course, he couldn't turn around to save his life like this.

"...Hrmph, I guess you are her son, correct?" The young man said.

Valerian tried to speak, but he couldn't even do that properly. It was possible that this thing could stop his heart like this...Yet, he was alive and breathing...

"...Valerian Frazier..." The girl said. Something quite disconnected and unconcerned in her voice, a chilly look...She held a knife with what looked to be another one of those Digivices put inside as a pommel...Pure white. "...Do you think he would know?"

"...You, Valerian. We're not raging hypocrites-nobody else here will need to die, we'll be on our way soon." The young man said.

"But he-"

The angel spoke up, but the young girl hushed him as the young man continued.

"...You, you need to speak to your mother on the identity of one 'Rosa Hathaway,' and more importantly, where she is right now. You have twenty-four hours. More than reasonable considering it'll only take minutes. Meet us...Meet us at the border of Harbor City and San Pedro, at the 110 Interstate with the information this time tomorrow. Don't show up, we'll hunt you down like a dog and kill you and then we'll have to work on your mother. Give us the information you can and you will not see us again..." The young man said, circling around Valerian like a shark.

The young man was out of sight, but he could tell something was up-a bright flash behind his back. "Hrm...We've got company. Get ready. Don't let our acquaintance here run away yet..."

The Angel child casually tossed Valerian aside, near their feet.

"Fox Tail Inferno!" yelled SOMETHING. Valerian thought of it as stupid to call your attacks like that. He barely managed to see violet flames careen towards the group. The angelic child got in front of it and took the brunt of the blow...And barely looked like he was even singed at all.

"Ah." It said, looking at a TINY burn on its arm. "Tougher than the others..."

"Barely." The young girl stated, sounding like this simply was reading the newspaper or some casual s**t. "Lucemon...Retaliate."

He BARELY heard this 'Lucemon' whisper. "Divine feet!"

At once, a massive spear of energy appeared in front of it and careened forwards, almost too fast to see, rushing towards the source of the attack, eerily without disrupting the smoke. Whatever was behind the veil-visible only by an outline of something remotely like a fox-was hit once, sent backwards and out of sight, too vague to really see. Unknown to him, the attack was far too sudden hit the poor beast straight in the head, rendering it unconscious instantly.

Valerain expected a kick from something called 'divine feet,' but that may have been intentionally misleading. Or something.

"The Kyubimon is only unconscious, Hel-"

"Don't say my name in public, Luce." The girl said, holding the knife so the pommel was eye-level. "Champion Level according to the D'arc. Do we kill it?"

"No...Leave it unconscious." the young man said.

"You, out there!" The Young man yelled. "Whoever sent out that Digimon! And whoever else in LA who's even THINKING of sending out Digimon against the Molten Onyx gang! Do yourselves a favor, and don't even bother! You saw what happened to that Champion-Level Digimon! One shot, instant unconsciousness, easy as tying our shoes! Whoever sent that out now, that Champion is still alive-and we'll keep it alive for now, but you better remember that we just took it out in a hit-just as an example! Any other idiots who challenge Lucemon from now on, we show no mercy to them-Digimon AND Tamer will die!"

The Molten Onyx? From Las Vegas?

Valerian was concerned. All the way out here...Just to get at him. His Parents at least knew that something was up, he felt-this explained something...But...What?

...Valerian almost got to his feet, almost got ready to run the hell away, when Lucemon turned his head.

"You're not going anywhere! Not yet!" Lucemon said, almost grabbing Valerian.

"AHHHHH!"

A female shriek penetrated the air, Lucemon froze in terror, and Valerian took one quick look at the source; He couldn't see where Bronze-hair was, but it was clear as day that the girl got shot by him while Lucemon was distracted by Valerian.

"Ahh, no! Not her! Not my tamer!" Lucemon said, totally distracted FROM Valerian.

"WHO F***ING SHOT HER?! AUGH, YOU CRAZY RAMBO A**, I WILL KILL YOU FOR THAT!" The young man said, ALSO totally distracted.

Valerian ran like hell, just ran far away-from both Bronze-hair and the Molten Onyx...Barely managing to see a ruined building to run into, leaping inside.

He should have double-checked. He hit his head on the wall, knocking himself unconscious...

Sable Kael
Oct. 18th/14
LA, Sable's Penthouse Apartment
ARPers: Comatose ; Colin, INDIRECTLY anyone still at the game shop

Joni wasn’t sure of what was happening so suddenly with the police, but she took the contact and pocketed it quickly. Sable in the other room was listening to the phone call, and Joni only got up to hear it after Sable continued yelling for her, once Colin had gone. She put the receiver back on the wall, just before pressing speakerphone. On the other end were hysterics and someone trying to speak, or scream, through it all. It was the game store from before, only something else had happened nearby, and people were freaking out about it, naturally.

“Ms. Linda the building next door just…” Between pauses, there were people freaking out, coming from inside and causing more panic. “… exploded and people are… what do we do?!”

Joni’s voice was the voice of reason and calm in any situation. While she was busy explaining to her staff what to do. In the meantime Sable had an idea as to go check it out but not before Rift’s increasing growls caught her attention. His glaring into space was becoming more unnerving, and even Signia wasn’t entirely certain what her twin was doing. Even the usual patting him on the head wasn’t bringing him out of his state.

“Now listen, you are to get everyone out, and close up the shop. Vacuate the building and get the security to lock the back rooms and everything but the main fire exits. Check and make sure everyone is okay upon exiting and get them to the company vans, and away from the immediate area.” Joni spent out of her pocket to get two vans decalled for her shop, which came in handy from time to time. “Panicking won’t solve anything, just get everyone out. Also if you see anything that is unusual, let me know about it, but do not be alarmed further and stay out of danger. Do you understand? You keep this phone on speakerphone until everyone is out and you leave, got it?”

Sable was still trying to snap Rift out of it. Snapping fingers, poking his nose, the usual annoying gestures weren’t working. On the floor, Nemeros was taking advantage of the situation by eating everything left on the table, including the extra cup of coffee. He wiggle waddled over and even sat on Rift’s head, but to no avail would the Dracomon let up. Sable slowly opened the patio door, wondering what Rift was trying to accomplish with his growling and threatening glares into nothingness.

That was her worst idea thus far.

The blue dragon bolted and then jumped the balcony fence, and started to fall down unto the unsuspecting crowd below, complete with a bug on his face. Sable tried reaching for him, as did Signia, but they were unable to grab him in time. A stab of fear struck the girl as the drop would cause Rift serious harm, if not kill him. Sable could only watch, being held back by Signia from doing the same thing. Before Rift hit the ground, there was a glistening orb of light above his head, and appearing in Nemeros’ place, was a large wasp with violet, tattered wings. They seemed to slow the descent of Rift’s fall, but once he hit the ground, he took off running down the lest populated route he could. Sable looked up, and could see a plume of smoke coming from where the game store would be, or at least in that general area. Aunt Joni was still yelling calmly at her employees to get everyone out of the store safe, but wasn’t distracted enough to notice Sable move just as quickly to the door, with Signia in tow.

“Sable! Sable what are you—you better not-”

“Rift just went AWOL over the side of the balcony towards a pillar of gloom and destruction! NEmmy was with him too, I’ve got to get him back before he’s in any more trouble!”

Sable left no time to argue, within a matter of moments she was already headed for the stairs, finding the quickest way down by parkour and skipping flights whenever possible. Signia was clunkier on the way down, but had better grip and was much sturdier than her human partner. Sable knew there was only one way she was going to catch Rift in time, and that was if she caught up with Cop-Guy and demanded a ride.

Today couldn’t have possibly gotten worse.

Note: Yes Nemeros digivolved into a Flymon in order to prevent Rift from breaking his face. He won't be in this form for much longer, as he can only sustain it after consuming large amounts of food. Yay 01 references!

Name: Alicia and Rebecca Stratos
Location: Los Angeles, Northridge Game Store
Affected Characters: Robyn Caron, Tim Wolfe and Tyler Phoenix

“No need to apologize,” the girl said, pulling a Digivice out of her satchel. “I’m part of this as well.”

Rebecca still felt as thought she needed to apologize. Even if she had her own Digimon partner, she still probably wanted to keep the thing hidden, and being seen on whatever cameras they had in the store with two people who had Digimon was not a way to do that. However, the girl seemed to genuinely believe nothing was wrong...

And then Rebecca was dragged out of her thoughts by the girl herself. “We should probably try and get out of here as soon as possible…”

On that they were agreed.

While the other girl quickly got distracted by a boy who likely overheard the whole thing, and therefore had to be dealt with one way or another before they left, Rebecca focused on trying to find some way out of the store. They would probably end up just leaving through the front door, but one could never be sure...

Her train of thought was cut off a second time when the entire store shook, almost toppling Rebecca over.

The cashier called for an evacuation, but Rebecca thought that was a pretty rubbish idea. That would mean for them to go out into the general area that the explosion had come from. Instead, she peered out of the front window cautiously, backing away from it as she did so.

She heard her sister swear rather loudly as the smoke cleared.

Not many people had encountered a Lucemon in the game, but the two of them had. Both of their partners had been Ultimates at the time, almost to the point of turning Mega, and they had still been slaughtered by the thing. Considering Alicia had only gotten Impmon to Champion once and had no idea how to reproduce the event, they stood no chance.

Alicia was practically shaking when she got to her sister’s side. “We need to get out of here!”

“I know!” Rebecca quickly scanned the room once more, and grimaced when the only possible escape route met her gaze. “Do you think there’s an exit through the back room?”

“You’ve been to game stores more than me!”

Rebecca conceded the point with a grunt, and decided to toss that particular idea. Being trapped in a room with a really powerful Digimon that may or may not hesitate to kill her - but would kill her nonetheless - nearby seemed like a bad idea. Impmon seemed to be rather disappointed with the whole thing.

“C’mon, guys, it isn’t even that scary!” The Digimon threw her arms up in exasperation. “It can’t be that tough!”

As though a divine response to her question, Lucemon was attacked by a Kyubimon out of nowhere, which it dispatched with very little difficulty. It didn't kill the thing, but it could have easily done so.

If Impmon could pale, she did so. “Err... What were you two saying about getting out of here?”

“We need to do it quickly.” Rebecca shifted awkwardly. “We just have no idea how.”

"Right." Alicia cleared her throat and shouted just loud enough for the others remaining in the store to hear, "Does anybody know how to get out of here without that thing noticing!?"

Tyler Phoenix
Oct 26th/14 - Afternoon
Games Store, Northridge, LA
ARPer's: Everyone around, I assume, cause BOOOM!

As Tyler awkwardly stood looking at the group, he heard the brunette girl say something about also being part of the events. Tyler felt his heartbeat increase when he saw she also had a Digivice - there really was a group in Northridge. As Tyler thought on this, she turned around and looked right at him. He noticed that as she looked at him, her expression grew into a smile. As he went to smile back, she paused and her smile faltered. Ah.... she's realised I've probably heard everything. She took a step in his direction. Tyler started to panic. Was she going to confront him? Ask him a really bizarre question? Maybe she was going to have a go at him for eavesdropping...

“Hello," she said. Tyler paused, a little shocked. He had been expecting war, some kind of angry declaration of his idiocy and stupidity for eavesdropping, but no. He just had a simple hello. In some ways, he was almost disappointed, he was used to a little bit of a chaotic greeting. He'd already had three in three greetings, a 100% track record. The child, the mother, the clerk.... He was unamused at his dark humour, but didn't really care.

He wanted to say something back, even just a polite reply. Yet before he had the chance, an almighty explosion rippled through the air, the ground quaked, and Tyler felt a surge of adrenalin start to kick in as the glass windows at the front of the shop shattered into tiny shards of glass. He and the girl who had stepped towards him weren't too far from the windows, so he clutched at her wrist and pulled her down beneath the shelf he was next to.

"Sorry.... sorry if that hurt, or if I was rough, but rather safe than sorry, right? Rather you not impaled by glass...." He had heard someone, staff likely, to evacuate the building, but going out the front seemed a bad idea and Tyler didn't know the shop. He looked back to the brunette next to him, and pulled out his Digivice, showing her the black and grey device. "Look, I'm tracking my Digimon. He's on the way here from my dorm at uni, but he left way before this happened. It's got to be something to do with a Digimon that's caused this, and he must have been aware, maybe some kind of sixth sense, or just general awareness. Either way, I need to find him regardless of what's happening. If this gets worse... if it is Digimon-related, I think I'd need a Digimon by my side, right...?" He frowned, and paused. He'd spoken out more in a matter of seconds to a random stranger with a Digivice than he had to anyone at university all term so far. He looked down at his feet awkwardly, adjusted the angle of his scarf a little, then looked back at the girl with a nervous smile. "Anyhow, this may be a cr*ppy time to say this, but hello to you too. I'm Tyler. Tyler Phoenix."

“I like this guy!” Said an Impmon who came out of nowhere, and seemed to belong to one of the girls in the group.

"Thank you! But... uh... I'M A GIRL!" Alice exclaimed.

The other girl also pulled out her own Digivice, and explained that she was in on this whole Digimon thing too. This was a weird coincidence. Several people with Digimon all happen to show up to the same store on the same day... There was also another guy who seemed to overhear their conversation, which one of the girl's were dealing with. He didn't seem like the kind who would cause them problems. If today kept going the way it did, he probably had a Digimon too... The group were just about to leave the store before anyone else spotted them, but then things just got worse. There was a giant explosion and the slight rumbling of the ground that seemed to originate from next door. The blast caused the glass on the windows to shatter loudly, and the combination of all these things happening so suddenly all at once caused Tim to scream... again. "GAH!"

“Evacuate NOW!” the cashier’s voice was loud and panicked as he gestured toward the door.

Tim grabbed Alice, and ran to the door to follow those instructions, but stopped when he saw what was going on outside. There was a Lucemon and a Kyubimon fighting outside. It was barely a fight, Lucemon knocked out the poor Kitsune Digimon with one shot. Tim gulped loudly. He heard about Lucemon being just as powerful as most Megas, but he never thought he would witness it himself. He also had heard that they were not very nice Digimon either... There was no way they could leave through the front door with that thing there, but as far as he knew, there weren't any other exits around. They were basically trapped in the store until that thing decided to kill them all. The boy started breathing heavily. "Oh no... Oh no... this isn't good... What are we gonna do?! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!" He began pacing around the store nervously while squeezing Alice in his arms.

"HEY! I CAN'T BREATHE HERE! You mind not squeezing so hard?!"

But Tim was too busy being scared out of his mind to respond. "If I had just gone straight home after school I wouldn't be in this mess... Ugh, why me...?"

A few posts from Sabi and myself to save your sanity...

Colin Rohan

Colin arrived at his car, and put his bag and Keramon on the passenger seat, before opening the boot, and grabbing his police uniform, and making his way to a public toilet nearby.

The cubicle was tiny, and disgusting. He quickly got changed, and made his way back to the car, jumping in the drivers seat, and turning the key.

Sable Kael

Sable was bolting out of the front door, and looking for the car Colin was in. She then realized she didn't exactly remember what his car looked like, but she knew the driver's side couldn't have had tinted windows. Running around, she finally saw a somewhat familiar face, booking it to the one side before putting a strong, but controlled fist against the window. Signia was able to catch up with her in time to make the vehicle.

"Hey! HEY! I need a lift! Rift just ran off to the area of the explosion for some reason, and the last thing I need is for him to get taken away from me and Signia! Same with an oversized monster wasp, and you know how sketchy people get with the normal sized ones!"

Colin Rohan

Colin sighed. It was never a dull day, and today was an understatement to that.

He stepped out of the car, and folded the front seat, so that Signia and Keramon could get in. Once they were in, he put the seat back, and let Sable get in. Once she was in, he started the car, put it in gear, and started driving.

"I can't help with the digimon. In fact I could lose my job if I am seen with any. I will have to drop you off nearby, and drive in alone." Colin said, "You have to be the one to take care of them."

Sable Kael

Sable's face furrowed at what Colin had just said. "You sure risk a lot, carrying Keramon around in your bag then... either way, I'm not asking for your help, just a ride. Rift is my responsibility and I am going to make sure he is okay. If anyone says anything, I'll deny it up and down. That's something I'm really good at."

"That she is." Signia nodded.

"Either way, the way Rift reacted," Sable continued in a serious, yet worried tone. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Digimon that caused the chimney of doom up ahead. So helping with the Digimon might be out of the question. Also, if you don't want any rap on Digimon contact, I don't either, so we can call it a deal if you don't say nothing, I won't say nothing."

Colin Rohan
"It's a risk, but Keramon is my partner, and I love my job. To have both, is risky, but worth it."
Colin continued to drive, pulling over on the side of the road.

"The shop is two minutes walk from here. I can't take you any further." Colin said, "But we have a deal I won't let anyone who could threaten what you and your aunt are trying to do, if you keep Keramon a secret."

Sable Kael
"Cool." Sable shot out of the chair, only stopping to let Signia out as she ducked into an alleyway, trying to find a trace of her twin brother, or even Nemeros.

"Sounds good to me. Appreciate the understanding, and you can hop by anytime." Sable nodded, finally stepping out onto the road and putting on a half smile. "What's a Keramon though?"

Before she could let Colin figure out her sarcastic retort, she closed the door and took off after Signia, who was pointing out a trail of torn open dumpsters with old food and cans leaving a trail in the back alleys.

The blonde girl was walking away.

Valerian didn't really realize it was a dream at all, even with the blatant evidence of the girl's clothes changing literally every time he looked at them and not her head, and whenever he looked at the clothes, the hair's length and style changed, as well as if she was wearing a hat or not...She was small though, very small, and the place was crowded...He had to keep close...

The blonde girl was walking away, through a crowded market, a farmer's market somewhere.

There was a roof above the farmer's market so the stands wouldn't get rained on. Good thing too: Outside it rained blood, and above the clouds crackled purple, red and green-colors that occasionally crashed down, leaving a nasty blast of lightning. Not like anyone would care...Everyone was a walking corpse, all killed by various methods, some far less disturbing than others. Some were even skeletons, or just floating limbs, and Valerian had a funny feeling that some people were there, but lacked a body at all...Except the blonde girl. She was completely intact. And Valerian seemed to be magnetized to her...

The blonde girl was walking away. Valerian followed, pushing aside the corpses.

She was singing some song, some very sad song, kind of like those 'new' versions of old songs by those female singers that seemed to be popular, except while Valerian had mixed feelings on those songs, her voice was enchanting and he was interested in it...But Valerian knew, it wasn't just her voice. Yet, it was. But it was something about it...Something supernatural. Yet, he didn't stop her, it was still nice to listen to, and she hadn't taken notice yet...

The blonde girl was walking away, singing a song to herself.

Her pace increased, suddenly...She wasn't full-out running yet, but it was noticable. Valerian started to move faster too, not breaking into a flat-out run either...

The blonde girl was walking away, moving faster.

"...Valerian?" Said something. Valerian ignored it.

The blonde girl was walking away.

"Valerian, who is that? Why are you following? Valerian? Answer me, buddy, I'm kind of scared now!" The thing said. Valerian was just being annoyed now.

The blonde girl was walking away. She walked towards a warehouse of some kind.

"Valerian! Answer me or I'll stop you now! I don't like this, something is REALLY...just, just wrong about her, OK?! Valerian, you look like you're possessed or something...Valerian, VALERIAN!!" the thing said. Valerian was finding it hard to ignore now...

The blonde girl stopped. She stopped singing, she stopped moving. Valerian stopped too-he was in the warehouse now.

The doors shut, and the girl's clothes finally finalized themselves into a completely black shirt and pants, leaving no skin exposed, with a black beret, a long-tied ponytail, and a single symbol painted in green: a waning cresent moon, it's tips holding a thunderbolt between them.

The blonde girl turned.

Valerian could not even register her face-not before he felt the feeling of vigorous, extreme pain in his chest. Looking down, he saw a blade-a HUGE claymore that would make any RPG hero look like they're wielding daggers-shoved straight through his chest without explamation. The girl in front of him-a girl who's face he could not see now-could not have possibly hidden it...Yet, he saw the hilt, and he just realized it, but there were no others in this area.

"VALERIAN! NOOOO!!"

He felt weak...So pathetic...

...So helpless...

...He rebelled against his status as much as he could-with every ounce of his being...He fought it as hard as he could, yet something felt like it was blocking him. Not the sword-some other thing, his thoughts...His mind was blocking his mind, however odd it was...

And the blonde girl walked away.

"VALERAIN, GET UP!!!"

And then he realized it was a dream.

And up he got, opening his eyes and escaping dreamland, meeting the blue sky above, turning gray from clouds...Where was he?

Sable Kael
Oct. 18th/14
LA, Outside the Chaos of Northridge
ARPers: Almost everyone left around the explosion area indirectly

Sable left the streets and was for the most part, ignoring the craziness of what was going on just down the block. Her eyes darted left and right, while Signia took take in looking in the opposite direction she was in. It was as if the two of them were in sync. The sound of crunching wrappers and small puddles splashing were what was under the girl’s feet as they pressed on, Sable knowing intuitively Rift had to be somewhere nearby. The alleyways seemed darker than usual, but it may have been the fact that Sable had mental blinkers on and was looking for Rift like a mother was looking for a lost child. Her eyes were narrow with paranoia and determination, which was an odd mix.

Down the left turn, Sable could see Nemeros’ shadow, or something that seemed to resemble a shadow. Instinctively, Sable darted off in that direction without Signia, as if immediately drawn to it. The Dracomon following her had a hard enough time keeping up with her. There was a numb nagging in Sable’s ears, but she couldn’t figure out what it was. The only thing in her head was to find Rift. Before she knew it, she had her face in the back of a large yellow and black insect. She hit him so hard she bounced back, and into signia who was coming behind her. The Dracomon caught her, and soon sound was returning to her Tamer’s perception.

“…able… Sable! Are you listening?”

“I…” She began, looking at Nemeros ahead of her as he was holding onto Rift, trying to pull him back from something. “Rift, he’s, no, okay… Rift is okay…”

Sable felt like she was going to deflate, but Signia’s worrisome questioning of her ability to hear was stopping her from collapsing on the pavement. Rift was snarling at the scene ahead of them, which was a view of the once neighbourhood gym. Smoke and smoldering blackness was billowing into the sky, and people were screaming, some stopping to point and stare. If anything attracted humans, it was disaster. Everyone wanted to be around disaster it seemed, unless it directly affected them.

“Sable!”

“Yeah, yeah Signia… I can hear you.”

The Dracomon sighed heavily. “I was yelling at you the entire time we were out of that man’s vehicle, and not once did you answer…”

“Eh... sorry Sigs, I was really focused on finding Rift.”

“No. No going.”

There was an unfamiliar voice, one that sounded oddly pitched, like it was coming out of a cartoon bug. Sable and Signia looked at Nemeros, seeing that he was having a harder and harder time, keeping Rift away from the danger zone, never mind out of sight. “No going.”

Rift continued to growl, and when Sable came around to push Rift behind some trash, he still had narrow pupils and a threatening grimace. It took the three of them to out muscle his stubbornness into a dark corner, and once there, Sable whacked his hard head with some force. Rift roared and threw his claws around before finally coming to his senses, acting confused and disoriented for a moment. Nemeros was still hovering near by in the event Rift went into that state again.

“The hell Rift?! You jumped off the balcony and took off!” Sable told him angrily, but in a hushed tone. “What is up with you? I’ve never seen you do that before!”

“There is a Digimon over in there.” He explained in a gruff growl. “Or… was…”

“A Digimon?”

“A strong one… I think it blew up the building…”

“You think or you know?” Sable repeated, and asked. “I mean, the thing just blew up and if you know that buildings are getting blown up, we need to stop that crap. It could be some random act of terrorism by some punks, or some crazy mafia loan shark. This is LA… I’m not convincing anyone here am I…”

All Digimon proceeded to shake their heads.

“Fine, well as much as I’d like to help everyone, we’ll have to wait and see. If it is a Digimon, it’s gotta come out at some point. We get a look at it and ask the network. If it’s not, then we need to figure out how we are all going to get you home without being seen. Considering Nemeros isn’t plush sized anymore… never mind you talk… wait, you said it was here. Is it here now or is it gone?”

The Flymon groaned in response. “Gone.”

“Gone?”

“I still smell something odd nearby…” Rift insisted. "No, its not the trash."

“Well... we should still wait, at least until everything dies down.” Suggested Signa. “We can’t move much towards home with all this chaos.”

“Okay, okay, but I better not have to shower. We see anything funny, we check it out.”

So, perfectly hidden, with eyes watching, and a large wasp having hidden in the trash to watch their backs, they waited. Little did they know, something else was also watching them.

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
LA, Hollywood, behind the Hollywood sign..
Affected RPers: N/A

Valerian looked around. Patches of grass and dirt, and nothing else on his left. To his right, however, some wooden structure.

it didn't take much genius to figure out where he was when he actually got up and looked around. It took all of two seconds to find the sign. That is to say, the Hollywood sign. He was sprawled out, unconscious, right behind it.

He looked at himself. He was wearing different clothes-light blue jeans and a hoodie with the same image as his favorite t-shirt. there was no signs of any dust or derbis on his person...He felt totally normal.

He looked around himself. On the ground was a brand-new phone and a note, as well as a backpack. He was curious about the gear, but the note seemed far more pressing, so he took it and read:

Valerian,

What you saw during the destruction of your gym was NOT fake. The events that happened there happened exactly as you saw them. However, do everyone a favor and don't tell any of it to anyone under any circumstances. The reason why is simply reducing panic. The more religious types would be screaming in the streets about the rapture if it got out that an angel blew up your gym, among other sorts of chaos. Do yourself a favor, and do NOT.

We are aware of the demands given by the Molten Onyx gang. Do not follow through. Their threats revolved around their members being aware of where you were at all times-a false sense of freedom. With your location unknown, they cannot follow through. As for your mother, well, they're a little less enthusiastic about challenging an armed cop than they'd seem. Your father's whereabouts are unknown, though we're presuming him dead. We are dearly sorry for your loss.

As of right now, the Molten Onyx do not know where you are-as previously stated. However, we expect them to believe that you will stay close to civilization. Do not. We have given you permission to camp anywhere in the state, and have given you considerable resources to do so.

We will compensate you for your ordeal, on the condition that you keep out of trouble. This will include the money to rebuild your gym.

We thank you for your cooperation, and hope you find it you to pardon us for not disarming this threat sooner.

PS. It may not occur to you that it was illegal in LA, but carrying the Brass Knuckles-even nonmetal ones-are against the law. We've removed them from your possession, but due to the circumstances you will not be prosecuted for it..

The note was handwritten, yet nobody signed it.

Valerian took the backpack. As expected of someone who would be out camping for extended periods, Valerian found a tent, an electric lantern, an inflatable mat and a knapsack, a week's worth of preservable food, some trail mix, a pair of flashlights, four fully-loaded water canteens with a water purifier so he could collect more (it even stated it could purify his urine), and even several flares with a lighter. They weren't kidding on the 'considerable' in considerable resources.

Whoever arranged this was pretty determined to make sure he was safe. Valerian felt considerably less safe without those brass knuckles, though. Even if they were made of some sturdy wood instead of actual metal.

As for the phone, it was a bleeding-edge brand new Iphone, packed with enough cutting-edge technology to be usable as a lethal weapon capable of cutting whole buildings down, or so the ads would have you believe-at least, just judging from the shape.

Turning it on, the time was revealed to be one hour since he was last conscious. Funny, considering he hit his head on a low-hanging concrete wall to achieve that effect, he'd think his head would be hurting like a b**ch...Yet, his head was totally normal.

...Still, there was one question unanswered. The young man from before-the Young Molten Onyx man-he mentioned Digimon. The rumors were definitely true, though he never heard of, well, anything remotely Digimon-based in his life. He only knew the shape of those Digivices, and THAT was because he was mostly curious, not because he was suddenly just going into a new, time-and-money consuming hobby. Boxing was his life, passion and clock-burning hobby already.

...Yet...

Valerian thought it over in his head. On the one hand, there was no specific law against the beasts. On the other, they'd likely make them in a heartbeat no matter what, considering the explosion, so that reasoning was pointless.

Yet, the possible news of his father's death stung. That man was his trainer, his coach, his partner, his friend when he needed it, and most importantly, the man who gave him life. No way was he going to let his murder go uncontested if he could help it.

So, therein lied the catch: He had to either play vigilante (which was illegal no matter what) or allow his father's killers to rampage.

Yet, therein was sweet irony. Those idiots will be looking for him. They'd probably even expect him to follow up on the deal-Valerian had no intention to do so, especially not now, not while he was safe. He figured that his dad would have been equally against sticking his neck out for him like that-and of course, his mother was still alive. And he had a feeling that they'd have him dead no matter what, so giving them that satisfaction? Not on his agenda.

He was set. He wouldn't pursue them and he'd keep his a** out of the way.

He would probably have just set up the tent somewhere out of sight and allowed his mystery informant to have his way with them. Valerian was quite assured that his actions, however significant, would only lead to trouble.

Then he heard a loud belch. He didn't really know it, but that belch was going to land him deep in a world of weird.

Valerian whipped his head around, looking wildly for the source-it was just far too loud to be very far. Yet, nobody was in sight...All he saw of significance was a purple plush, abandoned and dirty, leaning up against the Hollywood sign...

...Yet, the noise came form there...

...Valerian suddenly got the idea in his head that it could have been a Digimon.

He approached cautiously, yet casually, walking slowly. He had a feeling that it was attempting to hide from him by looking inanimate...Which, if it was, would mean that Valerian could approach without looking suspicious. If it acted in any way, he'd have his answer...

...He didn't know why he even approached. The only explamation was curiosity. It looked FAR less threatening than angel boy Luce back there, considering that it was only two feet tall. It had a smiley face on its chest, a red bandana and gloves, and though it seemed to have claws, Valerian was tempted to say that it wasn't terribly powerful. Assuming it was even a Digimon...

In any case, his approach gathered no reaction from it-it just sat there, giving the same toothy smile, looking dirty, like any abandoned plush doll. Valerian even poked it in the face. No response whatsoever.

He'd turned around, but something not too far from the plush caught his eye on the ground. He bent over and took a good look at it-and there was simply no mistaking it, that was a Digivice-black with yellow highlights, along with some cards. Most had the image of an 'Impmon' on it, which looked suspiciously like the 'plush.'

"SNEAK ATTACK-"

Valerian instinctively turned backwards and delivered a straight jab towards the now very animate plush, catching it right in the chest in midair. It hurt Valerian's knuckles, but his foe was knocked backwards and onto his back. Valerian honestly didn't expect that level of accuracy or success. He kind of expected the 'plush' to come alive the instant he even looked at the Digivice, though.

"...Why...Does that...NEVER work...Ugh...Bloody hell, that hurt..."

The beast's green eyes looked up at Valerian, who quickly picked up the cards and the device as leverage. Whatever was important about it quickly became apparent-the beast's eyes shrunk and a very worried look came over it's face.

Time for some diplomacy.

18th of October afternoon
Gym Ruins
Affected RPers: anyone in the area.

The police had already arrived when Colin drove to what used to be the gym. The road was barricaded, but when he showed his ID, they let him through. He parked the car at the game store, and got out, looking for what needed to be done. The chief didn't exactly give him the clearest instructions, mostly because he only wanted him there for the police presence.

Looking over, Colin saw something across the street which got his attention. A pool of blood, and small drops leading into an alley nearby. Nobody else had seemed to notice it.

He made his way to the alley and was shocked at what he saw. A teenage girl in a dress, with a large wound on her forearm, and a shard of bloody glass on the ground next to her. She had passed out from blood-loss. Next to her was a small yellow Digimon, unconcious. Colin grabbed his digivice and scanned it, revealing it was Viximon.

Knowing he had to get her to an ambulance, but not reveal the viximon, he put Viximon in his bag, and pulled out his notepad and a pen, writing briefly. He wrote 'Viximon' and his phone number, hoping that when she came to, she would call him to get Viximon back.

Colin picked up the girl, and took her to the nearest ambulance. Once she was in safe hands, he put Viximon in his car with Keramon, telling him to keep an eye on it. Afterwards looked around at the chaos. The street had been blocked off, and most people were being ushered out by police. What could have caused this?

October 28th 2014-Afternoon
Name: Robyn Caron
Location: Los Angeles, Northridge neighbourhood
Affected RPers: Tyler Phoenix, Sieses, Wizardmon

“Sorry.... sorry if that hurt, or if I was rough, but rather safe than sorry, right? Rather you not impaled by glass...." the boy spoke as Robyn slowly pulled herself back onto her feet. Needless to say, she was a fair bit shaken up. In a fraction of a second, but a mere moment after she’d finished her greeting, there was an intense blast. The explosion had been strong enough to rock the ground, leaving the shop’s floor uneven in certain areas and shattering the windows. Having been knocked down probably didn’t help either, although after hearing his explanation, the action made sense enough. Being impaled by glass was a much crueler fate, by a long shot.

“D-don’t worry about it” Despite her best effort, Robyn stuttered a bit.

The boy continued speaking, revealing that he too, was a Tamer. His Digivice was dark, black and grey in colour, and the screen showed a dot in motion.

It was a bit strange, that everyone at the game store had a Digivice and a Digimon (baring the employee, from Robyn’s knowledge). She didn’t put much stock in the notions of fate or destiny, but this was leaning on the uncanny side, especially considering the prior boom…

"Anyhow, this may be a cr*ppy time to say this, but hello to you too. I'm Tyler. Tyler Phoenix." He added, giving Robyn an awkward smile. She responded with a small, but noticeable grin and proceded to introduce herself as well.

“I’m Robyn” her eyes stayed on him for a few moments, but upon hearing even more commotion outside, the brunette’s focus shifted on the streets.

There was a fight, between a large, yellow kitsune-like beast and a blonde angelic boy. She’d never encountered Lucemon in the game before, but had heard enough about him to know this was bad. Though a Rookie, he fought with strength that could best an Ultimate and his benevolent appearance had fooled more than a few players.

Robyn soon discovered the message boards hadn’t lied about Lucemon’s power, in but a single attack; it was able to best Kyubimon. Both getting in its way and trying to take it down were bad ideas. She felt a bit of worry stir inside, and instead of fretting, the brunette turned to the others.

The first thing she noticed was that the younger boy was panicked.

"Oh no... Oh no... this isn't good... What are we gonna do?! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!" his words were almost soaked in concern and fear as he paced on the shop’s uneven and glass covered floor.

“Please try and calm down,” she tried to sound as collected and reassuring as she could, taking careful steps in his direction. “I know it’s scary, but losing our cool will only make things worse.”

"Does anybody know how to get out of here without that thing noticing!?"

That was a good question.

Elizabeth "Eevee" EverworthyVoted 'Most Lethal Glare of 2014'
Date: October 18th, 2014
Time: Afternoon - Evening
Location: Los Angeles, California (in the thick of it)
Affected RPers: Saraibre Ryu; Me!

"Chief!" There is a small, blue Digimon. It looks like it's searching for something. It's running around the gym ruins. "Chief!", it cried a second time. "Where are you?! Are you hurt?!" It was looking for its Human partner. She was in the blast radius when the bomb went off, though not in the gym nor close enough to be fatally wounded from debris impact, but she'd definitely be shaken up by the whole event.

And it looks like she was. The red-haired teenaged girl staggered every few seconds while walking towards DemiVeemon, her Digimon partner. No. Pet? Eh, something. Her Digimon tolerant, really. She tried to maintain her composure as much as possible, dusting her shoulders off with her usual apathetic expression. "I'm okay, Zeromaru. You can shut your mouth now.''

"Eevee! You're okay!" DemiVeemon -- or rather, Zeromaru -- jumped inside of his partner's red backsack. So that's her name. Eevee. It seems her name makes her wince, as she recoiled a bit when Zeromaru said it. "I told you to stop ****ing calling me that, Zero!" So that's not her name?

The blue baby dragon's face developed a disheartened look. "Sorry. I keep forgetting."

"Well remember it this time. Now let's get back home. Well, to my house, anyway. Since it isn't your home." Eevee stopped to clear her face of the black soot. It was as if she could feel on it her face. When the bomb went off, she was knocked out, but not instantly. Eevee caught a glimpse of Lucemon, though she wouldn't know who -- what -- it was. Digimon are very new to her. The scene stayed with her, as if it were etched into her brain. Whatever it was, it was powerful. The brief clip she caught of the battle with the fox-creature was enough to convince her of that. Reflecting on what happened before she went black, she turned just enough to show Zeromaru one of her crystal blue eyes. He blinked at his reflection in it from his backsack nest. "What is it, chief?"

"Smurf, did you notice anything after the bomb went off? Like, something with wings?"

Zeromaru blinked again, completely lost. "You mean like birds?"

"No, you idiot! I mean like an angel . . . or something."

"Uh, no. Sorry chief."

The two walked for a good while until the duo turned down an alleyway. The same alleyway that a certain insectoid Digimon and its Dracomon pals had a little scene in moments earlier. It looked like there was a happening here, but Eevee couldn't be certain of that. Until . . .

"Chief! Er, uh, I smell Digimon!"

"No way, smurf. You can smell them?" As previously stated, Digimon are very new to Eevee.

"Yeah. I'm not sure where though." All the two could see were trash cans and . . . not much else.

"Are you sure that nose of yours isn't on the fritz, you blue dumby? All I see are trash cans!"

"Chief", Zeromaru whined, "I'm sure!"

"Well, I don't see anything, so I'm leaving. Feel free to play detective if you want, just don't expect me to wait up." Eevee began walking, not caring if -- even hoping that -- Zeromaru jumped out of her backsack and investigated. At least then she would be free of his nonsense for a few hours. She walked right past the trash can where Sable was hiding, determined to either find a bus, or walk home if necessary. Too bad she couldn't drive yet, huh?

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
LA, Hollywood, behind the Hollywood sign..
Affected RPers: N/A

"We're going to talk about this. Calmly. Or else." Valerian said.

"You think I need that to live, or somethin'?" The Impmon said.

"...You want it." Valerian commented.

It was quite obvious. The way the creature looked at it, it may have not been dearly important to his existance, but some measure of value was placed upon it. It would not be parted with it that easily.

"..."

"I'm going to ask you several questions and you're going to answer them if you want this back. I am in no particular rush to give it to you. I don't care if it sounds crazy or if it's common knowledge. I have a LOT of them and I want answers." Valerian said.

"W***er..." The Impmon whispered. Nevertheless it nodded.

"First question: You ARE a Digimon, correct?" Valerian asked

"Yes, because the bloody cards don't PROUDLY declare it! Yes, I am! Species is Impmon, name is Nero!" The Impmon declared.

"Second question: Where the hell did you come from? You started popping up in THIS world six months ago, so this isn't your origin."

Nero briefly looked puzzled, then scratched his head. "...Really? Don't really remember anything...Wait, no, actually I do! Kind of! Hit my head on a rock at some point, but it's kind of slowly coming back!" The Impmon said. Valerian had to note, THIS guy was a talker. "In any case, there is this place...Uhh, named somethin' I don't remember, but it was definitely not here! It was also called the Digital World or some stupid s**t, but the real name is...Actually, no, don't know that. Forgot."

That was only somewhat useful. At least he knew they weren't hiding in holes.

"Question three: What do you know of something called Luce-"

"Lucemon? THAT bloody nightmare? I've heard dreadful things about the a**hole, before, err, coming here, but the only thing that's consistent is that it doens't matter what you have to bear against that guy, you are dead if you fight him!" The Impmon said. "Some say he rebelled against Yggdrasil, some say he's just way too extreme, a few say he's actually kind of a huge loner desperate for some companionship, but the only constants are that he has no weaknesses to speak of, and if you challenge him, you explode! GG!"

Valerian was getting a headache. This guy talked too much and wasn't as helpful as he thought.

"...Do you know anything of a group called the 'Molten Onyx?'" Valerian asked.

"Nope! Nothing!" The creature said after all of a half-second of pondering.

"Nothing." Valerian said, repeating Nero. "...Do you know WHY you're here in this world?"

"...Um...Uhh...Clueless...I don't really know..." The Impmon said, looking at the Digivice. "It's related to that thing you're holding-it's probably the reason why I'm here. I've heard all about these tamer-types and how they get Digimon, but I just kind of...I don't remember ever leaving the Digital World, see? Why I came here, it's all a blur. I kind of just spontaneously started existing here, you know? Like a dream. Except not actually fake. BUT! That thing you're holding, uhh, guy, it's probably got some clue as to why I'm here! Maybe someone had it but lost it? Like, I don't know! I want to figure that out! Seriously, give that back!"

The answers were infuriatingly vague. He wasn't talking to the source he wanted to talk to about this, not like he had any better.

...Valerian initially believed that, through this conversation, he might figure out some obscure weakness to Lucemon that he could eventually use to beat him. He really should have known better. All he got for his troubles was a bit more confusion.

Valerian put the Digivice and the cards gently on the ground and walked away, not looking back. The government (hopefully it was the government) gave him permission to camp anywhere-time to set up a spot and wait out the storm.

...

Nero's Q and A session ended quite abruptly. Odd questions, in Nero's opinion, for a guy who didn't even look like he'd have known what Nero was had he not told him. Yet, he followed up on his word-down went the Digivice and the Modify Cards, and he just walked away, not even caring.

He was a really quiet guy. Nero thought he may have been annoying him, but nope. He was as cold as an IceDevimon. The other humans he had interacted with usually ran in fear of him rather than punch him in the gut when they met, as well. That guy was something else. A Champion among the Rookies. He was also the largest of the lot of humans he ever saw yet.

And he thought other Virus-Attributes were scary when angry. This guy was honestly twice as fearsome with only half the effort. Then again, it was clear who was in control. All of his powers meant nothing if the guy could just punch him out of an attack...And he was considerably larger than him. Typically not a factor, but a 2-foot him versus a 7-foot baddie bulging with muscles was just not a smart idea, his powers aside. Especially not close. He was like wet tissue paper close up.

...A crazy idea took form in his head-He clearly didn't know much about Digimon, but he knew about Lucemon specifically-otherwise he wouldn't have asked. Did he meet the monster? This guy clearly didn't act like he did if he did. Did he survive? That would make him the most bloody bada** THING in existence, f***...Uh, whoever that 'Cho' guy was again. Or that 'Avvie'...Thing.

...When he initially came to this world-he neglected to tell his interrogator about it-he was challenged by something. He only knew it was a Digimon-he forgot the form or the figure, just that it was huge in comparison to him. He was challenged and defeated in a blur of movement. He bet that that beast was the source of his amnesia-and it was mercifully subsiding, he could perhaps image his attacker much better when it totally cleared. If only for some level of revenge (because he clearly didn't recall WHY they fought), he wanted at the bloody w***er, but he knew-somehow-that it was Digivolved considerably farther than he was at the time. Like, Ultimate or something. He couldn't do so on his own as it stood...But maybe with a partner? After all, those Modify Cards didn't work when HE used them-maybe a human was required? They were a mystery to him.

Something else also tugged at him. Desire. A lust for power. It was inherent in every Digimon ever, apparently, but herein it burned like a fire. He was weak now-or at least, physically frail. He had power respectable for his level, but...He could get more. Much, much more. Become legendary for his unstoppable might. And that guy...He didn't know his name, but he had a feeling that he'd be doing himself a favor to follow that guy. An instinct, so to speak. But considering his cold, quiet demeanor, would he even help?

He wasn't out of sight yet, and if he didn't even try to ask, he would not find out the answer, so it wouldn't be wasted time even if the guy said no. He took the Cards and Digivice, tucking them into his bandanna (it had a hidden compartment on the inside for small items), and followed.

LA, Outside the Chaos of Northridge
ARPer's: La Inquisidora

“Nobody move.” Sable shushed in the most shushed of shushed voices she could.

There was a girl that was much younger than she was, just moving down the alleyway right after the incident with the bombing went off. She could see just between the bags as she walked by. They were just wandering by when Sable noticed another voice coming from somewhere. It was far to squeaky and animated to belong to the teen girl that Sable was just getting all the wrong vibes from, though she didn’t have time to think about it as she had her entire arm around Rift’s muzzle to keep him from growling too much at the tone in her voice.

“There is a small Digimon around.”

“Yeah no kidding, it can smell you three, and here I was thinking the garbage might deter that.”

“Actually this is a lot of recycling material in here by the smell of it.” Rift corrected.

“What is it with you and metal?”

Their voices were still very hushed and nearly silent. Sable knew they had to keep a look out, but by the sounds and looks of things, nothing else was coming out of the smoke or chaos. She wanted to wait a bit longer though, as the prospect of new Digimon was always a plus. The rest of them were just waiting for her to pass the corner, when low and behold, someone’s stomach had to be the master of the mind, and Nemeros stuck his head out of his hiding spot, with an oh-so graceful clattering of cans. Making every kind of facial expression under the veil of bags and trash cans, as well as the hand motions to go with them, Sable hoped two things would happen: the girl would get scared by a giant random, eye lacking head of an insect in the trash, and run off, so that they could make a break for it in turn. The last thing Sable wanted, was some social interaction with someone who constantly spoke in that tone of voice, especially to a Digimon. Then again, maybe she was just having a bad day?

Sable also remembered the fact she probably had to get back to her aunt after finding Rift. She did just run off in some guy’s car and go for a ride to a blast site of unknown origin. Rift seemed calmed so whatever Digimon presence was bugging him, it was surely gone now. As of now, Sable just didn’t want to be seen and wanted to get back to basics as simply and as peacefully as possible.

At least Nemeros didn’t do the talking thing too much.

“DemiVeemon?”

Never mind.

Valerian 'Titan' Frazier
Outskirts of LA.
Affected RPers: N/A

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Valerian, lacking any sort of hammer to nail in the tent's stakes, just used his feet at first. It didn't work, as a few hits told his feet in great detail. He then managed to search around for a rock large enough to substitute an actual hammer-one of the few things those (apparent) government peeps didn't bother with.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

And that was all of the stakes, hammered nicely into place. His tent was complete. It was time to reward himself with some of that food.

He opened his sack-where he stored the food-and found Nero and a lot of crumbs instead.

"...You really do need food, don't you? Ehehehehehehe...I need a lot of food...Hehehe..." Nero said.

Valerian was furious. His plan to camp got brutally kicked in the teeth. The a**hole also drank all of his water, too...

"...This won't end well for me, will it?"

The next five minutes were spent attempting to use the rock to nail the slippery ba****d. As it turned out, Nero was faster than Valerian, and his smaller size made hitting the rotten a** all the harder. All the while, Valerian was throwing out words that gentlemen usually stayed a considerable distance from. He gave up when he narrowly hit his own toes with the rock.

A summary of his bad luck thus far: His gym was the target of some random drug lords, he didn't have his phone to alert his parents to that fact when he learned of it, the drug lords happened to have a freaking invincible angel thing as a bodyguard, he knocked himself out in his escape attempt, he is now miles from civilization, and, of course, another mother-f***ing thing ate literally all of his food and water, which literally blew up his chances of staying low and camping.

Worst day of his life, hands down.

He didn't cry. Valerian was not a man of tears even at his most depressed. He did, however, slink down and put his hand to his face, trying to get his thoughts better in order.

"...Uhh-"

He also used his free hand to give Nero a very obscene gesture. Nero clearly didn't get what was obscene about it.

"...You never told me your name..."

"Valerian Frazier. Leave me alone." Valerian said, grumpy and sad.

"OK, look, sorry about the food problem-I was just starving and smelled it-but enough about that! You, you said you wanted to figure out how to kill Lucemon, right?" Nero said.

"Yes." Valerian said, not bothering to acknolwedge the critter further.

"Well, I said it was really tough, but it's not like it's invincible! I've heard of, well, REALLY tough Digimon taking it out easily. OK, they made him get annoyed and fly off, but that's still something, right?" Nero said.

"Please go away." Valerian said.

"Look, what are you after?!" Nero said.

"To just camp out here for a week and wait for idiots to get what's coming to them." Valerian said. "Happy?"

"You mean Luce? Or...Someone allied WITH Luce?" Nero said.

"Yes, now go away!" Valerain said.

"And what if they fail?" Nero asked. "They're going to come for you?"

"If they fail I'll hear about it, possibly, then I'll just pack up and leave the state." Valerian said. "Now scat."

"...So...OH! Um, just wondering, are they part of a faction, these 'idiots?' More to the point, what would happen if they found you, like, right now?" Nero said, an urgency in his voice becoming apparent.

"Why?"

"FOUND 'EM, GREG!"

He really thought his bad luck had ran out, but nope. His attempt at hiding from Molten Onyx for week was cut short MINUTES in.

"You magnificent ba****d, last time I doubt you on hiding spots!" Gregory yelled. "Alright, a**, let's make this quick and easy, big guy. Hands up."

Valerian turned to his left and looked, and sure as hell, two Molten Onyx Grunts and some bird-ninja thing following them. Going by the names, they were probably the duo from the bus. Valerian had to give them credit, they were either lucky or thought outside of the box for this...Or maybe this plan of the governments wasn't nearly as brilliant as he thought.

In any case, the group approached, confidently and quite assured of their power. Nero, meanwhile, hid behind his leg.

"I can help! I seriously can!" Nero whispered, sounding like he was desperately trying to get on his good side after the whole food fiasco. Valerian didn't bother truly responding to that, however. Too frustrated to give it a response.

"Somethin' Smell's funny, hey hey!" Said the Ninja Bird thingy.

"Alright, he smells two things that are funny; Gunpowder and other Digis..." Gregory said, getting far too close to Titan for his comfort. "...Mind making this painless? We're not here to kill anyone, the less casualties the better in fact...Just tell us what you're hiding...And where..."

"3! 2!" Nero whispered

Valerian sighed. He had no intention of going with them quietly. Of course, why Nero was being this cooperative despite Valerian's sour disposition towards him was beyond him, but if he was still bound and determined to help, then Valerian was not about to burn the bridge. Not now. In any case, he was clearly already going ahead with his own plan. His enemies were also very aware of it-the Ninja bird drew a throwing star, Paul's hands balled up into fists, and Greg's gaze intensified to a nasty level.

Of course, they forgot that they were dealing with a boxer, and Greg, the tallest of the lot, was still a whole foot shorter.

WHAP! Greg tried to extend his fist to a punch to the face, but Valerian aimed for his gut and sent him several steps back, starting his first fight with Nero, knowing full-well that he was not going to expect the government official who saved him to give him that check now. Common sense and staying away from the problem totally failed him, but he was nowhere near dead nor helpless. It was time for definitive action.

Shocked as they were, nobody gave a particularly good answer to that question, and Alicia muttered about how useless people could be under her breath.

“Alright, we just need to think about this for a moment,” Rebecca murmured.

“Thinking won’t do anything if that thing decides to blow up this store.” Alicia growled. “How about we ask one of the people who work here? Where did they even go?”

“...I have no idea,” Rebecca admitted, looking over the entire shop.

“Great.” Alicia sighed. “We should have gotten them to answer some question before they decided to hightail it out of here...”

Although she would have normally chastised her sister on being unreasonable again, she had to agree with the older girl that one time. The employees were the most likely to know where all the exists were, having worked in the place for even a short amount of time, and they were indeed there right after everything exploded. Literally.

There was a pause in the interaction between the two sisters.

“I didn’t see them leave through the front,” Rebecca realized, “so there must be an exit in the back!”

Alicia frowned about that. “You sure?”

“Positive.” Rebecca grinned. “You ready to go?”

“Of course,” Alicia said.

“Then get as many people as you can and let them know what we’re doing,” Rebecca instructed her sister. “We can just meet up back home again later, so us spitting up for the time being won’t be that bad of a deal.”

Alicia bit her lip. “You sure...?”

“Positive.”

With a sigh, Alicia accepted the words of her sister, and she walked over to the boy with the Tsunomon. “Hey, stop being a wimp and follow me! What do you think you’re gonna get done just pacing around like that?!”

Rolling her eyes at her sister’s normal attitude returning, Rebecca instead turned her attention to the girl who had reacted so well to everything that happened and the boy who had overheard them, to see that the boy had taken out a Digivice of his own. She had no idea what that was going to do without his partner there, but that could wait until later.

“Hey, you two,” she said. “We think there may be an exit out the back. Wanna come?”

Zeromaru and his Human partner snapped to attention when someone -- something -- called his name.

"What the hell? Zero, where did that come from?!" Eevee did a few double-takes, before she settled on opening the trash can. She saw a bunch of Digimon and a Human smushed together. "So, which one of you called for DemiVeemon?" Eevee wasn't the least bit afraid or put-off by the Digimon. More annoyed than anything else, she began to tap her foot after she crossed her arms. "And what the hell are you doing in a trash can? Well? Speak."

"Uh, chief. Maybe we should-"

"Wait for their brain cells to kick in and answer my question? I agree."

Oi vey. It was going to be a long day for Sable, that's for sure.

As Tim continued panicing, one of the girls interupted his thoughts. “Hey, stop being a wimp and follow me! What do you think you’re gonna get done just pacing around like that?!”

"Yeah, what she said!" Alice added. "You're not gonna accomplish much bein' a scaredy cat, and I'm not gonna accomplish much if you don't PUT ME DOWN!"

Oh excuse for being concerned about the demon thing outside that's trying to kill us...Tim thought. I don't know, what do you think you're going to get done insulting people... I'm doing my best to figure something out... He ignored both of them and continued pacing before the girl that approached him before had stopped him. She was at least nicer about it than the other one. He stopped pacing, and took several deep breaths before answering. "Um... ok... I-I'll try... I guess..."

There was a discussion about how they were going to get out of here, before the brown haired girl that was talking to the black haired girl that just called him with a whimp finally came up with an idea. “Hey, you two,” she said. “We think there may be an exit out the back. Wanna come?”

Tim nodded, feeling embarrassed that he hadn't thought of that before. It seemed so obvious now..."Um... where is it...?"

"Gee, I dunno. Why don't you look at that door that says employees only!" His Tsunomon answered with a sarcastic tone.

Tim narrowed his eyes. "Oh..."

Colin Rohan
18th of October 6pm
Carpark of Sable's apartment
Affected RPers: Saraibre Ryu

It had been a long afternoon. After what the police called a terrorist attack on the gym, Colin had been called by the chief and told to get into his police uniform and help however he can. Though he objected heavily, due to the risk it would be to his cover, he ended up caving and doing the job.

Finally, late in the afternoon, he was allowed to leave. The police managed to find some organization, and let him go back to his undercover work, not wanting the weapons dealer he had been tailing for weeks to see him. Colin found it somewhat ironic that they didn't seem to give a damn about that when he used that argument against doing uniform work. All he could do is hope he wasn't recognised by the wrong people.

"Terrorist attack my *ss." Colin said, still infuriated at the way the chief acted earlier that day. "It was a digimon. No doubt about it. Viximon must have tried to fight it. Why else would it be so beat up."

The small yellow digimon that lay in the back seat was still asleep. Though it's breathing had become somewhat normal, and it had healed some of its scratches already (something that never ceased to amaze Colin. Keramon had never been in a fight before so this was new to him.), it hadn't woken up.

"Reckon it will be alright?" Keramon asked Colin, trying to hide the worry in his voice.

Colin remained silent for a second, before turning to Keramon and grinning.

"Rough as guts Keramon is concerned, isn't he?" Colin said with a laugh.

"***** off!" Keramon yelled, before receiving a sharp smack across the head from Colin. "I'm not that much of an *sshole. And whatever did that to her must be pretty tough to have done it. I'm watching my own *ss!"

"Her?" Colin said, the grin becoming even wider. Though he didn't believe it, he enjoyed watching Keramon looking like he was about to explode. "Anyway, Joni might be able to help."

Colin looked in his rear view mirror, and saw the same white van with tinted windows from five minutes ago was still tailgating him.

"Keramon, look in your mirror, but don't make yourself obvious." Colin said. Curious, Keramon looked back and noticed the car.

Colin put his foot down, revving the engine, but staying in third gear. As he expected, the van followed close behind him. While his tachometer hadn't left the red section, he put his foot on the clutch, and tapped the break for a second, holding it until he knew he would have to change to second.

As he predicted the van behind him slammed on its breaks, coming to a halt. Colin meanwhile still had enough speed and revs to take off in third comfortably. He put his foot hard on the accelerator, taking off, soon changing into fourth, by far exceeding the speed limit on the quiet LA road.

The van meanwhile was an automatic, meaning that to take off again, it would have to start off from first. There was no way it would catch up.

Keramon burst into laughter, and Colin soon joined in. The duo drove into the carpark of Sable's apartment building. Knowing there wasn't enough room in his bag for both Keramon and Viximon, Colin waited for a few minutes for the people in the carpark to leave. One of the digimon was going to be in the open. After a few minutes Colin got out of the car, asking Keramon to grab his phone from the bag for him as he made his way to the passenger door. Being the car of an undercover detective, he made sure to have a childlock installed on the passenger door. Nobody could open it from the inside.

Suddenly there was a screeching of tires and Colin looked over. The van from earlier had driven into the carpark, and stopped in front of his car, blocking it from leaving.

"What's your problem?" Colin yelled out. The side door slid open, and the weapons dealer he had been tailing jumped out, gun in hand. Toby.

"I thought I recognized you today at the gym." Toby said, "I even said to the friend I was with 'That cop looks a lot like the guy I have seen at the Cafe the last few times I have been.'"

Colin went to pull his gun out of its holster inside his jacket, but was knocked over the head by the driver. Rookie mistake. He had only been paying attention to one of them.

Colin's unconscious body was dragged to the van, as Keramon watched from the passenger side in terror.

"Okay Keramon. You gotta do it." Keramon said to himself, "You gotta digivolve.:

Keramon closed his eyes, and concentrated, trying his hardest to digivolve, the same way he does from in training to rookie. But nothing happened.

The van's engine started, and it began to move. Keramon tried to digivolve again with no luck.

"For *****s sake!" he shouted angrily.

Keramon spent the next ten minutes dragging Colin's bag, that weighed almost as much as himself, off the floor beneath the passenger seat, and across to the driver side door. When he and the bag got out, he shut the door, locking Viximon in the car. The sun was starting to go down, so she wouldn't overheat in there.

Keramon jumped in the bag, leaving it zipped slightly. Once he was somewhat comfortable, he grabbed the sides of the bag, and jumped forward, pulling the bag with him. It took twenty minutes, five of which where jumping in the same spot in the elevator, trying to hit the right button ("WHY DO I HAVE TO BE SUCH A *****ING MIDGET?!"), but finally he arrived at Sable's apartment. After his fourth jump, he managed to hit the doorbell, before collapsing from exhaustion inside the bag.

Bianca
18th of October 6:45pm
Some hospital
Affected RPers: Saraibre Ryu

Bianca woke up slowly. She had lost a lot of blood from the deep wound in her arm. Though at first she didn't remember this. It took her five or so minutes before she remembered how she got there. There was an explosion from a gym, and a shard of glass impaled her forearm. Eventually passed out from lack of blood. But there was a strange feeling, as if she had forgotten something.

Bianca rolled over on the hospital bed, and saw her mother sitting in the seat next to her. She smiled nervously.

"You've been out for hours." her mother said, "I wasn't sure if you would wake up before midnight."

"What happened?" Bianca asked yawning, "How did I get here?"

"Well, there was a terrorist attack on a gym in Northridge." her mother said, "You must have been caught in the blast, because a police officer found you wounded and unconscious in an alley nearby."

Bianca looked at her arm, and saw the stitches on the large wound. She wouldn't be able to climb anything for weeks. Her work would definitely slow down. In the corner, she saw something red. After a second she realised what it was. When they put her in the hospital gown, they must have cut her dress off. It was ruined anyway from the blood. It was a scrunched up mess in the bin.

"It was a lovely dress. Such a shame." Here mother said when she noticed Bianca staring at the bin. She had got it for Bianca for her birthday, "It might be nice to find out who the police officer was, and send some flowers. If he didn't find you, you might not have been found for a while. Maybe until it was too late."

Bianca nodded in agreement, though wasn't taking any of this in. She was finally starting to piece together the events of that afternoon. What happened. What she had forgotten. Vulna.

Suddenly Bianca gasped, and her mothers expression turned to one of concern.

"What's wrong?" she asked, "Do I need to get a doctor?"

Bianca thought quickly for an excuse.

"I might have dropped my phone." she lied. Her mother picked up Bianca's bag and handed it to her. When Bianca pretended to look through it, she found something that surprised her. A piece of paper that said Viximon, with a phone number.

"Anyway, my shift starts in fifteen minutes, and I still have to get changed." Bianca's mother said to her, as she gave her a hug, "The doctor said you will be okay to leave tonight. You just gotta take it easy. Nothing overly stressful and nothing that could break the stitches in your arm. You are welcome to stay with me if you want."

"I will be fine. But thanks for the offer." Bianca said, worried about Vulna. Once her mother left, she typed in the number to her phone, and called it...

*Bianca calls Colin's phone at 6:45. It is in his bag with Keramon and Colin's car keys.

Well that immediately put off Sable. Rift was the first out, but being the nice person she was, she grabbed Rift’s shoulder to prevent him from charging. Nemeros hovered his large waspy self and kept looking at the DemiVeemon with intent. She was hoping it wasn’t the food kind of intent. Signia was less than amused with the person, knowing her fair share of what was rude and what was not in the human language.

“Anyone with brain cells would be smart enough to know that the actual inside of a trash can, couldn’t hold all of us. A decent pair of eyes could see we were on the ground.” Rift snapped back.

“It’s okay Rift,” Sable started. “Someone who expects answers after immediate questions, I’m pretty sure doesn’t know how questions work. Then again, you sound like a tourist. Either way, what we were doing was on a need to know basis. Also which one said your DemiVeemon should be a bit obvious.”

“DemiVeemon.” Nemeros said, getting closer.

“There ya go, an answer. Patience be a virtue.” Sable added with some cheer in her voice. “I’m betting you don’t even Digimon. Now just-”

Sable’s phone vibrated in her pocket. She made a ‘one moment’ motion with her hand before looking at the text message. It was from their Aunt Joni.

‘If you’re safe, get back to the apartment. I need to go and I’m not too keen on leaving without knowing you’re safe back here. I need to head to work.’

Sable was a tad disappointed by that, as she wanted to find out more details on the thing that blew up the gym next to her aunt’s store. Her intentions were understandable though, as she replaced the phone in her pocket with a sigh. Luckily for her, she knew the street would have been cleared somewhat of civilians for investigation, medical support and the like, so getting out wouldn’t be too much of a problem.

“Sorry touristy, but, duty calls. R. n’ S. and… Nemmy, with me. Nemmy no this way.”

Sable grabbed one of the large insectoid’s claws and dragged him away as the two dragon’s followed. Rift snorted in the girl’s general direction before leaving, making sure she knew that that she was not liked. Sable grabbed him by the arm and took off down the alleyway on her scooter, the one that had been hanging off her backpack. She pushed off and with a few quick steps, the four of them were gone.

It took them fifteen minutes to get back to the apartment. Getting in the elevator was interesting since Nemeros carried both Signia and Rift over the reception table without being noticed, and managed to make it back into the elevator. On the way up, the Flymon degenerated into a Kunemon again, much to the relief of the once limited space in the elevator itself. As they made their way back to the penthouse apartment, Joni was waiting just outside the door.

“Thank god you’re okay.” Joni expressed with relief. “Rift, do not jump off of the balcony again. What did we talk about regarding communication?”

Rift looked away, only able to mutter a “Sorry…” before walking in, Signia behind him, as well as Nemeros, who waddled in and went straight for the sugar bowl, as per usual.

“So, it’s pretty bad down there. Your shop is kind of okay though, I don’t think anyone was hurt.” Sable reported. “I was off hiding in an alleyway. Rift said he sensed a Digimon, but so did Nemeros. Nemmy was trying to drag Rift away from the site.”

“That is… unusual.” Joni thought, putting a hand to her head. “Either way, we’ll discuss it when I get back. I’ll probably be at least three or four hours. You know what to do for dinner.”

“Aye captain.”

Joni and Sable traded places in the hallway, with the niece going into the apartment and then aunt going in the elevator. Sable threw herself on the couch and moaned in an exasperated manner. Today was one hell of a day, and she was ready for bed, or at least a nap. She wasn’t quite hungry yet, but that wasn’t going to stop anyone else from trying to get food out of the fridge. After a few minutes, Sable folded up her scooter again, and put it back on the loops of her backpack. Taking off her shoes, she moved her bag back into her room. Then, she flopped back down on the couch, watching Nemeros with a pointed finger, constantly telling him no as he waddled from one sugary sweet bowl to another, wanting more food, yet again.

It may have been a half an hour before the doorbell rang again. Everyone stopped and looked at the door. Getting up quietly, Sable made her way to the eyehole, and looked around. There was no one there she could see. She motioned for Rift and Signia to be at her back, just in case this was someone trying to rob them, or something of illegal nature. Sable slowly opened the door, bracing herself for someone to try and force it open. Yet, once the door was open half way, there was nothing. She poked her head left and right; nothing. It wasn’t until she looked down that she saw someone familiar.

“Hostage Cthulhu child?” She questioned, looking at the bag she remembered from earlier. “What are you doing here?”

Then, Nemeros came barreling, well as fast as a waddling insect could barrel forwards, towards the bag, and poked his head inside of it. Sable could hear something, but she couldn’t make out what it was. She pulled the bag inside the apartment, and shut the door, while at the same time, pulling the Kunemon out of the bag with the other hand. What the Digimon had been pecking at, was a phone, and the phone was going off. Something about the entire situation seemed off, considering how the guy was earlier. He was a cop, why would a cop be without his phone? Sable looked in the bag and also found car keys as well. Tired Digimon, a phone and keys, just randomly showed up.

“This doesn’t look good…” Sable said, looking at the phone. “I just really hope when I answer this phone, it’s not going to be a jealous or paranoid girlfriend on the other side…”

Sable hit the answer button. “Hello?”

"I didn't ask for a science lesson. I don't watch PBS anymore, thank you very much." Eevee continued to tap her foot while Zeromaru -- her DemiVeemon -- eyed Nemeros curiously.

"Hiya, pal!" He exclaimed. "I go by Zeromaru. What's your name?"

Eevee quickly shot him a look. "Don't talk to them. They're not your friends, Zero."

"Aw, but I wanna talk to the bug Digimon."

"Zeromaru". This was delivered with a motherly scolding tone. The way a woman would call her child's name after they were told they couldn't spend the night at their friend's house. "Stand down, lizard", she said to Rift. "It's not like I go around looking for freaks. They just sort of show up. Case in point". She gestured towards Sable. "And I don't appreciate-" Eevee was cut off by Sable's phone. She snorted when the teen held her finger up indicating she needed a minute to take the call. "Oh, I guess Miss Important is too busy to finish conversations."

When she finished, Sable said her goodbyes -- after calling Eevee a tourist -- and sped away on her scooter. Tourist? I'm not a tourist but I did just move here. Is it that obvious?!

"Chief, I think she liked you!" Zeromaru said cheerfully.

"I doubt that, smurf. Anyway, that b!tch is gone now. Anyway, let's go home now. This day has been stressful enough and I need a shower. I can feel the sweat sticking to my skin. It's gross."

"Well, it is humid. It's Autumn, after all."

"I know that, Professor Doof. Shut up and start walking."

"Right-o, chief! Say, when we get back, can I have a sandwich? I'm starved!"

The red-haired teen and her blue friend began walking in the opposite direction of the one Sable made her exit with. Figuring out whatever the angel thing was would have to wait until another day. For now, rest and relaxation was in order.

"That stupid b!tch and her lizard thinks they're so smart. Hmph!"
