Larger Character Allowance in Sigs

This is really kinda a bummer. You know that I like to keep my signature small. I have a lot of images and links and such in my sig, but it hardly takes up any space.

Character allowance ≠signature size. So could we maybe bump it up to 5k or somewhere? Heck, I've even been using tinyurl to make everything smaller. There's still some more things I'd like to put in my sig. Maybe not 5k, but something above 1k, maybe? ^^;

I guess it's to stop people putting heaps of stuff in there which could be a pain to load. But if we judge it on a case by case basis, its probably okay. I don't put much in my sig so I'm not sure how many characters you guys need. But I will make it 5k for now. If it causes any issues in future it may have to be reduced again though. :)

No problems! I was wondering about that too, but again small allowances don't always equal smaller signatures. x]

Sorry about this. x] I am just big on having little icons in my signature for some reason. Do you think we could maybe bump up the max # of images allowed just a little bit? ^^; As of now it's 11. If not that's cool! Just wondering!

I actually liked what Ryan did for PE2K where it was more of a size limit than at character limit that way people couldn't have huge sigs.

Done for all the major usergroups. If I left out any usergroup and you want the extra images, just post here. xD There are way too many groups to edit. x_x

Bumping this back up. I have a small signature, but use a LOT of markup and urls for it. Can we bump it up just a little more or something? D: I mean it's not like it should inconvenience anyone else xD

Sarah said she bumped it up to 5k, but I'm getting a message that says it can't be over 1k "including bbcode markup" which is very odd. Before I just now edited my signature, it was apparently over 1k, and I'd edited it numerous times before; I'm not sure why I'm getting this message now.

Taken care of and changed. This should be applied to every group soon, but you can now. Maximum character limit is at 5000 with BB Code markup.

EDIT: Fun fact, only the senior mod group had this problem. Turns out it was 5000 for everyone else, heh.
