PXR Melbourne Meetup

It is funny in that it doesn't feel like it has been six months since our last meetup! Wow, that was ages ago! All the more reason for another Melbourne Meetup.

So, which PXR Melbourne peeps would be down to meet up in the city sometime (The Central point for most of us)? And what dates would work for you?

So what would we do? We would bring our DS's, play pokemon and other games, and just hang out. I might even bring Pokemon Monopoly ;)

I think he meant our Aussie meetup haha. We all met at Nationals last year, which was awesome! I can't believe it's been nearly 6 months either! I'm waiting for them to announce details for regionals!

I'll be away the weekend of the 21st but I can do any other time. Pokemon Monopoly would be awesome!! :D I can bring a picnic blanket. xD

I really would love to, but I have no means right now Dx Just spent 400 bucks on two pairs of prescription glasses :/ (Plus I don't have a pass-port ^^') Maybe one day, though :D

There are Melbourne meetups?! I know I'm a newbie but would it be okay if I crashed one of them? I'd love to expand my network of pokefriends. I don't think I know anyone who plays irl anymore. Plus it would be cool to socialize with you lot of course. :smile:

Haha anyone is welcome really. They aren't official meetups, but we have met up at things like the tournaments.

And If I do bring the monopoly I will leave the money at home and bring the debit cards from my other version of monopoly, unless we go somewhere like Good Games or Games Lab and play there. Don't want to lose parts haha

Okay guys, I put it off long enough! Time to organise!

PXR Melbourne Meetup
Okay guys, this will be happening on Saturday the 28th of Feburary 2015, in the Melbourne CBD. We will meet at 11am out the front of the 7eleven in Federation Square (Next to the Public Toilets). Chances are I will be wearing a Pokemon shirt haha.

Now there are two ways we can do this (Or maybe more! If you have ideas, let me know!):
Option A:
Sarah mentioned bringing a picnic blanket (I think. If you didn't, sorry). If she does that we can find a nice spot and chill there for most of the day. I know there are some cool spots by the Yarra that it would be cool to do that. Everyone brings something food wise (Bag of chips, bottle of drink etc) and we have a nice communal lunch with a game of Pokemonopoly and a few VGC battles in that.

Option B:
No Fixed Address. We meet up, and then wander the city semi-aimlessly (If someone has an idea of somewhere cool to go see, we go there).

If anyone else has ideas or things they would like to add, I am all ears.
Pokemon Trainer Sarah: I will be getting on at the same station as you (the ones I would prefer to be using are not being used until later in the day) and will be catching the 10:01am train if you want to catch the same one.

Sure sounds good! I can bring a picnic blanket. If its not too hot or raining, it should be nice sitting outside! :D I like option a. If we get bored we can always wander. I will see you on that train. I usually get on the second last carriage.

Shall be awesome Ray! Beauty of Australia is that most of the people are on the east coast. Though the landmass is huge, the population density is all East Coast pretty much. So chances are if there are other Australians here, they are from melbourne.
