I'm John, and I've been playing Pokemon since I was gifted Red version when the craze was strong. I have been in and out of playing the game in massive chunks, taking a break for the beginning of Gen 3 and end of Gen 5. I started playing the TCG as a way to connect with a friend who wasn't able to play the video game, and have been hooked ever since.

I'm not big into the VGC format, but I love wasting time grinding out the Battle Tower/Maison. My favorite region is Sinnoh, and my favorite Pokemon is Chespin!

Welcome John! :D I love the Battle Maison too! It's so addictive. The TCG has always looked like fun but I never really got into buying the cards. I loved the TCG video game though!

I'll have to practice my war face, then!

In regards to becoming a Site Writer so quickly, MC Elesa recommended that I join and give a helping hand in regards to the TCG Jump section. I presume that the trust vested in me is a result of consistently helping out at league!

I hope that my writing will help out newer and more experienced players equally, as I feel like I have a pretty firm grasp on what makes the game tick.
