WAR is over... AND WE WON! Congratulations everyone! Team Trainer managed to pull off a WIN by ONE POINT! We have returned Team Trainer to its former glory! Winning the first WAR in its name since WAR Seasons 1 and 2 on PE2K! Hooray! :D

We are open! Welcome to Team Trainer. That's right, we're back for another year to kick butt and take names all over again! In a world of violence and darkness, we stand and fight for a world where the unbreakable bond between human and pokemon is held at its highest!

http://i.imgur.com/djd4BdL.pngSteven formed Team Trainer as the fourth of the original four War Teams (the other three being Team Magma, Team Aqua, and Team Rocket). As the War began, Harry Kim later joined forced with Steven and became co-captain with him. Team Trainer faced off against Team Magma in the beginning of the War, but then later faced a new threat from The Magnificent Alliance. Regardless, Steven and Kim lead Team Trainer to victory in War Season 1, though later Steven resigned leaving Harry Kim as the sole leader for Team Trainer.

In War Season 2, Team Trainer continued to advance against the other teams, though faced considerable opposition from The Magnificent Alliance. In a bold move, Team Trainer merged with Team Tri-Blade. Tri-Blade's leader, Dapkmnguy, became Team Trainer's 1st Officer. Later when Harry Kim resigned as team leader due to technical reasons, Dapkmnguy became the leader of Team Trainer and brought the team to victory again in Season 2.

As Season 3 geared forward, Team Trainer soon found itself overpowered not by TMA, but by Team Nox. With determination, Team Trainer kept up with Team Nox in points, but the season ended prematurely. Team Trainer ended up a few points behind Team Nox, but, no winner was declared at the end of the season.

Team Trainer disbanded in War Season 4 in favor of new teams for the entire season, but was later revived by Harry Kim as an organization dedicated to upholding the values of honor and justice.

Team Trainer participated in War Season 5 and end up winning it. With the help of veteran Neo Winterfeild and rookies Mike Anone and Dark Umbreon, Team Trainer was able to live to see the end of the WAR RP along with Team Aqua and Team DARK.

Taking the remains of Team Trainer, Charizard_mike restarted the group after the time of inactiveness of the formal leader, HKim. Team Trainer took part in WAR VI with Charizard_mike as leader and coleaders HKim, Tyranitar_Trainer and StormtrooperX. After the long and hard WAR VI, Team Trainer came in fourth place after a close fight for third place. This showed that Team Trainer is a hard working team and still able to put up the good fight.

Team Trainer again entered WAR VII under the leadership of Charizard_mike, but was unable to overcome the new superpowers of The Underdog Alliance and One Against All.

The team did not make an appearance in WAR XI or X, but...
...now under the leadership of The Frost Dragon and Pokemon Trainer Sarah, Team Trainer rose from the ashes and joined PXR's First WAR! After a glorious and valiant battle, the team was able to take home third place. Now, we're back! Trainer, will you join us and add your name to the honor roll?

Anyone is welcome to join Team Trainer in the fight for honour and glory! We welcome new and old members alike. Even if you have never been in a WAR before, this is a great time to join in and make new friends!

Our rules are simple. Remember to respect the other teammates! Just because they aren't on your side doesn't mean that you can disrespect them! Next, remember that you should participate in a lot of activities. WAR isn't just a contest, it's also a perfect time to be critiqued by plenty of people on plenty of things! Don't be afraid to do an activity just because you don't think you'll be good enough! And lastly, cliche as it is, remember to have fun! Even if it's a competition, you joined it to have fun, not to raze the enemies. With all that in mind, just fill out the following form to apply!

I'm not sure. I do like it, but I'm thinking it might be a bit too muted in its colors? Or maybe if the pokemon were a bit more opaque... I don't know, I feel like a lack of contrast is the problem here.

Me? I actually like the purple. I like it, I just think if we got a bit more contrast in there, it would look perfect. My suggestion would be upping the opacity on the pokemon in the background. As for what pokemon they are, shoot, I haven't a clue. It's not like I'm one of the leaders here or anything.

And, uh... I've finally decided. My name is Frost, the Protector. The loser with the ORAS Poke Fan sprite for a representative. The guy who's saying what would be neat to have on his banner. While talking in the third person.

I didn't add in the Pokemon Team, yet, since I wanted to ask what the team will be used for / how your choice of a team will effect the contest. This is my first time participating in WAR and I'm a bit confused, so if someone could explain that to me I'd be very grateful. uvu

O-Oh wow. I don't know how much use I'd be there. I've never been good at scratching. The most I'd be able to do would be recolor since there wasn't any scratching involved in that one.

They weren't all scratching. There was recolours, fusions and retypes as well. But I understand. Scratching is really hard. Just see what the event is I guess, and then decide if you wanna give it a go. :)

Just remember: War may be a contest, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the goal is to win. It's more like a catalyst. It uses a contest to encourage us all to do the best we can, even if it's in something that we're not used to, or haven't tried before. It's just as much about learning and getting better as it is about competing, and you're here for yourself just as much as you are for the team. So have fun! Get creative, and get better! There's no penalty if you don't do well, so what's to stop you?

I'm hyped for this. I have so many ideas for the Drawn Art contest and I have many ideas at how it will work. I have an AMAZING way to make it completely different from the previous year. If I end up doing what I think, lets just say that it isn't just points that you will be playing for, but that is still in an idea process so it may change. But I really hope I can pull off what I intend to do.

It's not that I don't want to have fun. I do but… well I haven't been on here long enough for you guys to know about my years prior to high school very well. To touch on it briefly, every time I entered a contest prior to high school, I usually didn't win. The rich kids were the ones who always won and if one of the "outcasts" like myself joined in and lost, the rich kids made sure we never lived it down. I guess it's become somewhat of a fear of mine of not being good enough because when I was in middle school, I never was and I was never allowed to move past it.

Yeah well when I actually get around to kissing a person, or even really crushing on someone since I've never had a first crush, I'll let you know how that works out. But until then *shrug*. Like I mentioned above and in countless other posts around the site, I have severe insecurity issues. Not even ten minutes ago I was getting lectured by my mother for being overweight. I'm not allowed to be no matter where I go so instinctively I shy away from expressing myself because of my past. It's not excuse but… there's nothing I can do about it really.

I knew what you meant. I was just explaining that in my case, I'm a neutral party to either side. It's not your fault for digging this up. It happens every time j debate doing something. I don't really have any support at home and I wear my heart on my sleeve so this comes up a lot. It actually tends to drive people away which is why I don't have many friends. I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought it up.

I always had trouble getting along with people my own age too. Even now I am on a Pokemon forum talking mostly to teenagers haha. But that's because I guess the things I am interested in are generally for younger people, or at least seen that way by society. I was never bullied or anything and I had a group of friends, but I didn't have anyone I was close to or would have meaningful conversations with in high school. I went to an all girls' school and I just had nothing in common with them! It didn't help that I was too shy to share any of my real interests, either. As soon as I got the internet, I was online in most of my spare time (and all the time I should have been doing homework xD) and met so many great people and finally felt understood. After high school I met heaps of awesome people in real life who share my interests (including some from PXR!) and it's been amazing! I promise you things will get better. :)

At this point I've been blessed these past few years to have been somewhat popular. Everyone knows me and for once the nickname isn't derogatory (or if it is then I'm not taking it as such). I'm know as "the girl who goes above and beyond." Besides the occasional not nice word thrown at me because some people still can't understand why I don't want a boyfriend or that thing that shan't be named but we all know what it is, I don't get much offensive stuff thrown at me. I'm actually somewhat popular. I was nominated for homecoming princess this year, I didn't win but it was still pretty cool to even be nominated. Then of course I've gotten a ton of popularity from getting honorable mention in a film contest for the past two years (I intend to win this coming year because the theme is "Let your imagination fly!" which is like my calling) and for the fact that I managed to take over like half of a Model United Nations conference as North Korea (it's an extremely long but hilarious story). Now I've been nominated for head of the book club, speech and debate team, and the model United Nations team. I'll be happy to just getting nominated but from what it sounds like, I've won Debate team and MUN. So needless to say, I've recovered a lot since everything I went through but the internet is where I truly made my recovery. There was a site I was on called Fusemon where I met my main cast of friends that have stuck with me ever since. Without them, I don't know if I'd even be on this site.

Well my internet crashed last night so I had to go to be anyway.

Ok so here's the JFK conspiracy theory:
John F. Kennedy was the United States President who got assassinated in 1963. Due to the events in his presidency prior to this as well as many rumors, there are many suspects, the most common ones being the Vice President and the CIA, the Russians, the Mafia, and aliens. My theory actually revolves around the Mafia because despite 3 out of the 5 mafia families in America being Catholics, two are Jewish, which makes them likely culprits to kill Kennedy because he was Catholic not Jewish. On top of this, in 1961 there was an incident called the Bay of Pigs. It was pretty much an invasion of Cuba to try and free it from Communistic rule (that failed miserably). The Mafia in America had been making a lot of money with its casinos in Cuba, but the dictator forced the casinos to close. As a result the Mafia agreed to work with the CIA to get Cuba back in order. Since this failed, there's no doubt the Mafia was ticked about the loss of profits. On top of that, JFK had increased pressure to apprehend organized crime (aka the mafia) so the Mafia was losing many profits there as well.

In addition, in 1962 Marilyn Monroe was died of a supposed overdose. I say supposed because Monroe never really showed any reason to commit suicide. In fact, many think the CIA and/or the Mafia took her out because she knew too much. How? Well see, Monroe and JFK had an affair for a little while and Monroe kept a journal of everything the guys she was having affairs with said while they were doing business. The journal was never found after Monroe's death and there are numerous reports that Robert Kennedy (JFK's brother) was the first one to be informed of her death. He also is reported to have went to her estate soon after receiving the call. I don't think that's any coincidence.

Lastly, Robert Kennedy ran for president following his brother's death. However, while giving a speech, Robert Kennedy was assassinated. He also was pressing against organized crime and had been involved in many campaigns against the Mafia.

Now, let's look at Lyndon B. Johnson. He was the Vice President at the time and actually had the most to gain from the whole charade. See, JFK was planning to run again and there were rumors going around that he was going to replace LBJ. So LBJ had very little time to achieve being president and since he wasn't going to do well on his own without some show of his abilities, the best way to get his presidency was to kill the president. The CIA always wanted JFK out of office since the whole embarrassment with the Bay of Pigs. So it makes sense that they would be behind the whole scheme as well. However, they need another man to pull the trigger. See, it would be complete political turmoil if it came out that LBJ and the CIA took out JFK. So they hired to Mafia to take out the president and then LBJ took care of the coverup. It would also take massive amounts of money to fund said coverup, which the mafia very much had, and interestingly enough, pressures against organized crime went down during and following LBJ's presidency. Once again, that's not likely a coincidence.

Government surveillance isn't that well thought out but many of us are pretty sure the government is watching and listening on us through our webcams and audio devices that are built into our phones, cameras, computers, gaming devices, etc. It sounds crazy but I have found it interesting that the record light that lights up when I'm recording a video on my phone glows at night.

Lastly, the more recent one, is the AP US History exam. Earlier this school year, there was an uprising in theories going around about how the new APUSH class and textbook were teaching biased opinions to children. In Oklahoma back in February, APUSH was banned because of its teaching. Last Friday we had the exam and something that had never been done before happened. They gave us two different exams. This may not seem like a big deal but here's the thing, this is a national exam that is supposed to be tracking intelligence levels nationwide. How can they do that if they have two completely different exams? And when I say completely, I mean completely. On top of this, entire classes of students boycotted the exam, didn't even come. Now if you aren't suspicious yet, here's something interesting my friends and I found out yesterday. After polling the class, my friend and I discovered a few things:
1. The two different versions of the exam were distinct opposites. One (the version I had) was very very easy and allowed people to finish a lot quicker than those with the other exam. The other (my friend's version) was very very hard. It had documents that were up to a page long whereas my version had documents that were no more than three sentences long. Again, no big deal it sounds like except there was an odd trend in my classroom. The people who took an AP exam last year and made a 3 or higher got the easy exam (I made a 4 on my exam last year). The people who took an AP exam last year a made a 1 or 2 got the hard exam (my friend got a 1 and 2 last year on her exams). The people who didn't were evenly split. Two of the four got the hard exam and two got the easy. There's no way that was complete coincidence. I find it very suspicious and it may sound crazy but I know something is up here.

I don't think I'm skilled enough to do the fusions but after last night I feel like I should at least try. But just know I'm out of practice. The last fusion I did was... I think the mega evolution for my pokesona in October of 2013.

I used to work on trying to learned Photoshop myself, even downloaded a whole list of brushes and effects to use. A week later my computer crashed and I lost all of them. So once I got a replacement laptop (my current laptop) a few years ago I kinda stopped trying to learn how to use it. Now I just use it for small edits. Either way I'm pretty slack when it comes to Photoshop now. I can use it, edit here and there, but it's nothing special like most banners/avy/sigs you'll see here. All it takes is getting use to it all again and finding what works best and keep at it for awhile....think I'll hold off though until I get my next computer since this one if barely holding on now lol.

On another note, the friend I invited to join turned traitor. He joined another team today. Guess that makes for an even better competition xD!

Pokemon Trainer Sarah It looks perfect! Thanks Sarah! Sorry on late response, last few days have been pretty busy. One of these days I gotta start working with Photoshop again myself. Start learning how to make sigs/banners. I only ever made one good one really and forgot to save the file for editing and only saved the final product....and saw one small flaw on it. I forgot to erase one of the parts of the brush I used over the image I used in it. All part of the learning process I guess haha.

While I'm at it I guess I'll ask since it's my first WAR here. Is there currently an explaination of what's to be expected in each WAR section or is that given after it starts?

I don't know how many URPG members have joined so it would be hard for us (at least me) to do a pre-WAR activity unless it's basically to say "Hey, that's a good joke!" =P

I'm glad you like the banner! And no worries about being busy. :) You should definitely start Photoshop again! I'd love to see what you can do! Haha I noticed Eri joined another team, but that's okay! The more people joining in the WAR, the better for PXR!

You can check out last year's WAR threads if you want some examples of how the sections might be run, but it really depends on the judges as to how they run things, so it might be completely different this year. Well my internet crashed last night so I had to go to be anyway.

Ok so here's the JFK conspiracy theory:
John F. Kennedy was the United States President who got assassinated in 1963. Due to the events in his presidency prior to this as well as many rumors, there are many suspects, the most common ones being the Vice President and the CIA, the Russians, the Mafia, and aliens. My theory actually revolves around the Mafia because despite 3 out of the 5 mafia families in America being Catholics, two are Jewish, which makes them likely culprits to kill Kennedy because he was Catholic not Jewish. On top of this, in 1961 there was an incident called the Bay of Pigs. It was pretty much an invasion of Cuba to try and free it from Communistic rule (that failed miserably). The Mafia in America had been making a lot of money with its casinos in Cuba, but the dictator forced the casinos to close. As a result the Mafia agreed to work with the CIA to get Cuba back in order. Since this failed, there's no doubt the Mafia was ticked about the loss of profits. On top of that, JFK had increased pressure to apprehend organized crime (aka the mafia) so the Mafia was losing many profits there as well.

In addition, in 1962 Marilyn Monroe was died of a supposed overdose. I say supposed because Monroe never really showed any reason to commit suicide. In fact, many think the CIA and/or the Mafia took her out because she knew too much. How? Well see, Monroe and JFK had an affair for a little while and Monroe kept a journal of everything the guys she was having affairs with said while they were doing business. The journal was never found after Monroe's death and there are numerous reports that Robert Kennedy (JFK's brother) was the first one to be informed of her death. He also is reported to have went to her estate soon after receiving the call. I don't think that's any coincidence.

Lastly, Robert Kennedy ran for president following his brother's death. However, while giving a speech, Robert Kennedy was assassinated. He also was pressing against organized crime and had been involved in many campaigns against the Mafia.

Now, let's look at Lyndon B. Johnson. He was the Vice President at the time and actually had the most to gain from the whole charade. See, JFK was planning to run again and there were rumors going around that he was going to replace LBJ. So LBJ had very little time to achieve being president and since he wasn't going to do well on his own without some show of his abilities, the best way to get his presidency was to kill the president. The CIA always wanted JFK out of office since the whole embarrassment with the Bay of Pigs. So it makes sense that they would be behind the whole scheme as well. However, they need another man to pull the trigger. See, it would be complete political turmoil if it came out that LBJ and the CIA took out JFK. So they hired to Mafia to take out the president and then LBJ took care of the coverup. It would also take massive amounts of money to fund said coverup, which the mafia very much had, and interestingly enough, pressures against organized crime went down during and following LBJ's presidency. Once again, that's not likely a coincidence.

Government surveillance isn't that well thought out but many of us are pretty sure the government is watching and listening on us through our webcams and audio devices that are built into our phones, cameras, computers, gaming devices, etc. It sounds crazy but I have found it interesting that the record light that lights up when I'm recording a video on my phone glows at night.

Lastly, the more recent one, is the AP US History exam. Earlier this school year, there was an uprising in theories going around about how the new APUSH class and textbook were teaching biased opinions to children. In Oklahoma back in February, APUSH was banned because of its teaching. Last Friday we had the exam and something that had never been done before happened. They gave us two different exams. This may not seem like a big deal but here's the thing, this is a national exam that is supposed to be tracking intelligence levels nationwide. How can they do that if they have two completely different exams? And when I say completely, I mean completely. On top of this, entire classes of students boycotted the exam, didn't even come. Now if you aren't suspicious yet, here's something interesting my friends and I found out yesterday. After polling the class, my friend and I discovered a few things:
1. The two different versions of the exam were distinct opposites. One (the version I had) was very very easy and allowed people to finish a lot quicker than those with the other exam. The other (my friend's version) was very very hard. It had documents that were up to a page long whereas my version had documents that were no more than three sentences long. Again, no big deal it sounds like except there was an odd trend in my classroom. The people who took an AP exam last year and made a 3 or higher got the easy exam (I made a 4 on my exam last year). The people who took an AP exam last year a made a 1 or 2 got the hard exam (my friend got a 1 and 2 last year on her exams). The people who didn't were evenly split. Two of the four got the hard exam and two got the easy. There's no way that was complete coincidence. I find it very suspicious and it may sound crazy but I know something is up here.

Pokemon Trainer Sarah People say Lee Harvey Oswald did it. He was arrested and seen coming in and out of a building from which the shots were fired. However, three days later, Lee Harvey Oswald was shot when he was going to trial, another reason people think the Mafia was involved because the man who shot Oswald (I can't remember his name right now but his last name is Ruby I believe) owned several casinos and was known to have involvement in the Mafia. There's also the common theory that Oswald was just a proxy and that the real shooter was never found. Then there's the fact that the way the driver and JFK were shot, there's no way there was just one shooter. The angle at which the bullets come in are from different directions so if it was Oswald, he wasn't working alone. There's also a picture out there that shows a man with a gun pointed at Kennedy but it's hard to see so the evidence there is disputed.

You can go to the park to RP with a ranger to catch more Pokemon and add them to your stats and use them in future battles. The URPG hold different events all year long and yes have been a great part of the WAR since the very beginning. Actually the first WAR focused mostly around battling. Right now they are doing a Randoms Tournament where the participants Pokemon are randomly chosen from their stats.

I'm actually...pretty horrible with shading though. My image of Sou has very -minimal- shading because I have trouble understanding how lights should be hitting the subject from their light source. I honestly wish I was alot better with art myself. Its partially what I went to college for, but I'm not good enough for a job, so, struggling with finding anything atm. orz

I'm sure there's something you can do and are really good at though! Like I personally struggle drawing any kinds of animals and sprites confuse the heck out of me.

But for the animation, I just grabbed a gif on the net and popped it into Photoshop. When a gif, in CS5 opens in photoshop and you open the animation panel, there should be a layer for each frame in the animation. I cropped down the image, grouped it then took it into my banner file where I shrunk down the group to shrink down all the images to my desired size. After that, I made a custom shape (the pokeball), selected the outside of it after positioning it over my Sylveon image, then literally deleted everything outside each frame individually. After that, you can just go back into the animation panel and set the frames/layers up :>
At least thats what I did. I hope that makes sense lol

I used to be able to fuse and recolor very well but beyond that I'm not very good with sprinting. I can't draw any animals but I can draw certain Pokemon. Humans are beyond me which is depressing because I really want to be able to draw gijinkas or at least have pictures of my own OCs but since I can't draw them I can't. I can write pretty well but that's the extent of my creative abilities.

It also depends on the person. Not everyone likes being called by a proper term like that because it makes them feel old lol.


I'm glad you like the banner! And no worries about being busy. :) You should definitely start Photoshop again! I'd love to see what you can do! Haha I noticed Eri joined another team, but that's okay! The more people joining in the WAR, the better for PXR!

You can check out last year's WAR threads if you want some examples of how the sections might be run, but it really depends on the judges as to how they run things, so it might be completely different this year. Lol it's all good. The friends I invited to join all come from the same site and we kinda mess around and joke with each other with that term a lot. "Traitor" and terms like that when they let someone down, it's all fun and games. It does add more rivalry and WAR better for PXR for sure! Thanks for the link I'll be sure and check some of them out. Even if it's a small idea of how things may be held it'll help with a little thought process rather than constantly thinking what this could be or what may or may not happen.

It's been about 2 years since I've even tried working with learning more Photoshop skills and techniques. Though I really only successfully (in beginner stages) completed 3 banners/sigs over the years each with little improvements.

I could've probably improved much more, but with how bad I am with computers (somehow I'm notorious for having computer trouble within a year of purchasing a new one) it wouldn't give me much time to work with it much. Thought it probably doesn't help that I've got CS3 and not the latest version lol.

Thanks! Though each of those I made were only created with an image and brushes (besides the last one I believe). I didn't add any effects, shadow/shading or any of the sort. Now knowing (even a small detail) about other effect if I got more brushes and the latest version of Photoshop I could stand to be better at creating them. The only thing I think I'd rather work on is how to cut images and put them into a transparent background to use for later. Can probably tell in those I posted how some parts were cut out that shouldn't. The Pikachu is kinda edgy in places and the lightning brush I tried using for an effect light lightning sparkng from the cheeks didn't show off very well, some of Isaac's hair was cut near the ends, Shikamaru in the last one I'd say turned out the best as I was able to use the best area and not those cut off, but I forgot to save the actual Photoshop file to edit later on and found out after I saved the images and closed it down, I left some brushes covering the image leaving some green brushes over the image itself. The text is kinda blended with the background as well. Either way it'd just take more practice is all and gathering some effects, brushes, good renders to use or images to crop out and turn into renders for a model. A little practice and working with it is all it would take. I think what really pushed me to stop was trying to learn how to make a banner/sig into a gif rather than a still png format. The guides I was using at the time were....not the best lol

Well more or less it is like Phoenix Wright in terms of how you move on the map from place to place but yeah, the way you interact with people is in 3rd person view, so you see Layton and the others interacting with each other and looking from your perspective view at the characters in PW. And I apologise if my explanation isn't clear enough as I suck at explaining things at times ^^;

And when you interact with another character or an object around that area and a '!' appears in red, it means there's a puzzle to solve. And these puzzles are like your matching colour puzzle games, they're pretty much like logical problems you have to solve, kinda like the questions you'd get in a maths test *shudders* Ugh.. maths x.x My most disliked subject xD

But yeah the story of the Miracle Mask proved to be very amazing in my opinion and I loved everything about it ^^

GCEA is pretty great. It can be a bit intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's really fun!
