The Prism League

The Prism League was founded on the principle that all worlds are connected, created through refractions by a single source of light. Light, however, comes in all shades and hues. And no two worlds are the same. And in some cases, the light is extinguished entirely.

The League was created to restore light. That while one world might be engulfed in darkness, there is always a surplus of light elsewhere. And sometimes, heroes must answer a call far from their home.


We invite any and all to join our ranks for the annual War event. Hi Killerat!

Mmmm, let's see. Well since the War is like Olympics, each section is like a different event. Members can participate in different sections and, at the end of each week, the section judge awards points to the best participants. So, for example, if you created the best art piece in the art section, you'd receive a point. Your team would also receive a point because you won that section that week.

At the end of the War, the total points won by each team are tallied and a winner is declared. Of course, while winning is nice, the most important goal is simply having fun. That's why members are allowed to participate as much or as little as they want!

I don't quite have the time to read your submission, but I'm sure that people would be pretty forgiving about a depiction of a time period. After all, most of us aren't experts of that part of history.

As for controversial, I think it would be fine as long as you don't delve into certain topics like rape or nudity. Perhaps you can put a ratings on your story to warn anyone before they read it.

On a similar note, I wont be able to participate in week 4, since I'm going camping that week and It'd be a little odd to bring a laptop to camp. Weeks 2 and 3 I'm all ready to do though!

hm- I wonder what I'm going to do for roleplay before I have to leave, not posting for a full weak, especially the last one, can really mess up the story depending on the situation. Maybe my character will get killed off just before hand? it really just depends.

Also, does anyone know if there's a main thread for overall point scores? It'd be hard to keep track if everyone had to go to each group thread and search for them.

Hmm sad to say I'm terribly uninspired by this week's drawn art theme, it's not even relevant to pokemon, which surprised me. I was really looking forward to what creative challenges would come up, but I think it's kind of boring so I'm going to have to pass this week!

Well, I'm going to be in creative writing and roleplay for sure. I may or may not do something for humor, depends if good idea comes to me or not. As for drawn art, I'm terrible at drawing animals. I'll probably put one in anyway, but it won't be good.

My super hero in my creative writing is going to be based off of the prism league's "world of light" thing, with special powers to control the light. Any ideas for super hero names? All of mine so far are pretty pathetic.

Well, week 3's theme for creative writing is FLIPPIN AWESOME, and I already have a good idea, but I ran into trouble with naming things again. There are two main places in my story: the "earth" which is a very dangerous place place full of magic of all kinds. And then there's the "sky forest" which is a large forest city of the plant people, which is placed on Island clouds and is floating over the "Earth".

I considered keeping "Sky Forest" as the name for the 2nd area but I'm open for ideas. The "earth" area is nameless atm though.

...It is dark and weird and sounds a lot like something HP Lovecraft would write.

If you're writing from the plant people's (do you have a name for their race?) perspective, and assuming most citizens wouldn't venture down from their island, you could have some sort of name that came about from a myth that is passed down. That way you don't have to pick a name that's completely descriptive of what the place has. For example if they believe the earth portion cracked and fell from the sky forest, they might call it 'The Collapsed Lands'. If its obvious they thought it was dangerous and knew more about it, maybe something like 'The Forbidden Depths' to deter adventurers from going. And you could even add what makes it mysterious or dangerous by covering it with a tainted mist or shadow and work that into the lore for the name, and describe the biome of the place.

Suggestions for the sky forest, maybe something in the inhabitant's tongue and just means sky forest or city. Like that ghibli movie Laputa Castle in the Sky

Anyone in prism league want to design a token? The people who were in the pixel art category could probably make a really good one. If I tried to make one it'd come out weird and lopsided probably, but you never know, I may try anyway. Not trying to require anything, just wondering if others liked the idea as well.

Hey I'm inviting everyone in prism league to join the WAR RP! I'm trying to keep it going after WAR ends, but most people aren't posting in it any more. So come and join! It's a really good one and I'd rather deal with the awkwardness of a bunch of new people coming in after it's been going on for a bit instead of letting the whole thing die out. I don't know how many people in the team like to RP, but this is a great time to try it out as its explained in more detail than usual because of WAR. Hope you guys will join!
