ARCANE POKÉWORLD STORY
It all started 80 million years ago, far beyond recorded time and even before prehistoric Pokémon like Aerodactyl, Kabutops, and many of their kind roamed the world. The world was inhabited by dinosaurs and animals that could have evolved into the Pokémon of the modern era. The only traces of humanity that existed in these long, almost forgotten days were protohumans.
The Sun this world depended on, Arcstar, suddenly changed it's cycle and was on the critical brink of becoming a supernova. If left to run it's destructive course, it would have decimated the entire solar system and would have nothing but burnt shadows in it's wake. The cataclysmic signs were detected by the Xeth, a highly advanced race of aliens that had the power and the means to manipulate the laws of physics, logic itself, and even dictate the course of existence. The Xeth, while not truly gods, had the power and techniques that could be considered godlike. Upon examining the unstable and potentially devastating course the Arcstar was heading toward, they used their powers and techniques to stabilize it and in turn, prevented what could have been a tragic disaster if left unchecked. As a result of their benevolent efforts, fate ran a different course and the Arcstar was forever changed, now illuminating the world with a bright white and lightly violet-colored illumination.
This is where the story begins. This is what is known as The Dawn of the Arcane Sun.
As a result of the Xeth's efforts, the Arcstar was able to continue it's cycle without risk of apocalyptic devastation. Life and prosperity continued for 15 million more years and in time, new evolution had set it's course, eventually becoming the Pokémon we recognize of the modern era. These creatures known as Pokémon, armed with the power, skills, and techniques to harness the elements and supernatural forces thanks to the Arcane Arcstar, were able to claim dominance, resulting in the end of the dinosaurs that could not command the same forces they could. These Pokémon were the first practitioners of what would eventually be called Magic.
Following in the footsteps of their flourishing Pokémon brethren and companions, the early protohumans were the next to evolve, learning how to harness magical forces and energies from the Arcstar be means of concentration and willpower. Soon, like Pokémon, they began to inherit the basic and fundamental skills of the Xeth thanks to the transformed Arcstar.
But what was supposed to become human never came to pass. Instead, the early protohumans were evolved by the Arcane Sun as well, becoming distinct races but all being collectively called humans due to having the same ancient ancestor. In time, as the ages and eras marched on, humans learned Magic from their Pokémon companions as well as through their own dedicated research into harnessing the power and energies of the Arcstar in new and creative ways.
This is the story of how Magic had risen through the Arcstar and soon enough, became the central influence on civilization, culture, norms, research, and technological development. The creation of tools, weapons, and structures had undergone a completely different breed of industrial revolution, relying on the fundamentals of supernatural magic as opposed to the utilization of scientific principles despite how these same principles like gravity, conductivity, and the like are still present. As the ages of civilization marched on, technology was built around the magic these humans knew best, and magical technology, called Magitek for short, resulted in the creation of enchanted mechanical tools, equipment, and devices that perform the same functions of technology today, but are powered by the forces of magic as opposed to using the principles of science.
NIGHT OF BLOODFALL AND THE NEW TEAM TRAINER CONTINGENCY
The High Magi Council. The Celestial Circle. And the Order of the Crimson Flame.
All 62 world leader members assigned to keep the peace were assassinated in a single night along with their assigned chain in command. It escalated into a vicious and heartless attack that would be forever scarred into the history books as the Night of Bloodfall. It was unknown who launched and coordinated the attack, but the investigation concluded all leader members were violently stripped of their magical abilities before they were executed. None of the assassins were caught or identified, but the limited witness testimony and evidence concluded it had been a band of Mechari assailants responsible for the assault. The attackers were labeled as the "Repressors" for their strange ability to strip magic out of their targets.
When the news of the Repressor attack hit the media through the Maginet and the Mirror broadcasts, immediately the hysteria resulted in Mechari being branded as traitors, flawed devices, and "rebellious machines without souls." Citizens began to question the meaning of their existence, while others attempted to defend the machine race by arguing not every Mechari was a Repressor out for anarchy nor did they support the Night of Bloodfall, although there were plenty of sympathizers for the Repressors and felt it was a "much-needed cleansing long overdue." However, the shaken and unstable political theater were only making the situation critical and law enforcement that much more difficult. With rioting and looting on the rise because of these events, what was once a perfect world paradise was rapidly collapsing.
The only lead in terms of determining who should be established as the new order was found in the Celestial Circle's Decree documents, establishing that if the Circle should fall, the faction known as Team Trainer would be the next in line to assimilate authority. Meanwhile, the High Magi Council and the Order of the Crimson Flame had nothing left after their assigned chains of commands had all been eliminated in the Bloodfall assault.
With no other official documents and successors to go by, Team Trainer was established as the new emergency world order. However, despite Team Trainer's righteous and good intentions, not everyone saw the mission from their point of view. Many felt their individual identity and culture were threatened, and not everyone recognized the authenticity of the Celestial Circle Decree. Even in the mist of the already costly Bloodfall riots, others were far too skeptical and portrayed the Decree as a conspiracy theory forgery that hit the airways and tabloids hard. Meanwhile, others believed Trainer was not capable of stopping the "Repressors" from striking again, wherever and whoever they are...
The world has become a darker place. The question of who should lead the world of magic is in shambles, and the hunt for the Repressors is a trail rapidly going cold. The Mechari are fighting bigotry and racism from all directions, while rebellion factions rise up against the authority of the questionably established Team Trainer order.
It is unknown whether the world can return to the state of peace and paradise it had once enjoyed. What is known is that the flames of war have been lit, and many will be taken in its demand for sacrifice...
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE ARCANE WORLD AND THE STANDARD ONE
Flight Spells - Individuals have access to flying spells, which was an early discovery. As such, buildings and structures have access balconies that grant access at any level. Devices like parachutes and hang-gliders were obsolete before they even existed. Work, life, and even sports have been changed due to this ability to fly freely.
Flying Cars and Vehicles - Used for faster travel, as well to assist with the shipping of heavy goods and as mass transit.
Pokémon Carrying Crystals (PPCs) - Instead of Pokéballs, these crystals are used instead, offering a stronger, more comfortable, and more rejuvenating container for companion Pokémon.
Healing Spells - Used in place of healing medicines.
Travel - As a means of getting from one place to another, a portal network exists, replacing train lines and metro stations with a portal network. Walking into a portal of one town in another region will allow you to emerge to a town in another region in no time at all. There is still travel time, as the passenger will be in a stasis while in the Travelscape. They will be allowed to think, see, and hear, but not physically move. The only allowed use of portals is strictly limited to these "Portal Metros." Any other unauthorized use of portal spells or teaching of portal spells is regarded as highly illegal due to the ability to use them for trespassing.
Pokémarts - These retail outlets have been changed to sell Pokémon healing spells, as well as the Pokémon Carrying Crystals needed to contain them. A spell only needs to be brought once, much like a book that only needs to be brought once but can be read multiple times. Most Pokémarts make the majority of their revenue from PCCs, although the spells are always available for new rookie trainers that are only just starting their journey.
Magic Shops - Magic that isn't Pokémon-related is sold here. Magic has been around since ancient times, so new research and development into new spells is rare (but still possible). These vendors will sell mainly the books and resources needed for practical spells, as well as self-defense, trades, crafts, and many other purposes that are needed in everyday life.
Science Gadgets we Expect:
The Maginet - The magical rendition of the Internet. No need for wi-fi hotspots or worrying about data plans with this. You can access it anywhere and everywhere.
Smartphones - Have been implemented as Mirrors, also connected to the Maginet. These perform the same functions we are familiar with it terms of phones, and they're significantly cheaper to mass produce. Everyone has one, unless they lost it the way one does with car keys or their wallet.
Televisions - Televisions are a derivative of Mirrors and can be altered in size to suit the owner's preference and accommodate the room. In that same light, Mirrors also take on the form of video players and gaming consoles for entertainment, given they have they have been enchanted with the desired game or movie spell.
RACES
All races are considered humans as a collective whole, but these are the sub-categories (think in terms of Hispanics, Caucasians, Asians, and so on). The magic they specialize in is similar to those of Pokémon attacks and moves, although each race can still cast spells in all other fields.
Mechari - Mechari are sentient Megitek machine humanoids, and were originally created by the other races as servants many years ago and continue to be created today. In addition, new Mechari are created by a partial magical donation of the personality and appearance to the one they wish to create. Being enchanted machines themselves, Mechari understand Enchanting magic the best out of all the other races, and make outstanding craftsmen. Mechari can take on a male or female appearance, but do not reproduce sexually. Mechari specialize in magic related to Steel, Normal, and Ghost type sources.
Granok - The Granok are sentient, golem-like people formed out of living rock. Strong, sturdy, and adamant, Granok can take excessive physical punishment in combat, and are exceptional at utilizing spells focused on earthen manipulation and plant manipulation. As a result, the Granok are the best at Grass, Rock, and Bug spells.
Neko - Neko are feline humanoids that are fast, nimble, acrobatic, and agile. They have prehensile tails and are typically considered attractive by most other races. Most Neko work in the entertainment industry, but there are still plenty of exceptions. Female Neko are typically taller and have upper body strength while males are shorter and have better lower body strength. Neko are basically humans with ears on their heads instead and tails. They have extendable 3 inch claws on their hands and feet similar to cats. Some but not all (At about half the population) have a Were form activated at high levels of stress or adrenaline. A thin fur coat covers their body. Neko specialize in Fighting, Dark, and Psychic magic.
Chua - The Chua are the shortest of the races, taking on the form of rodent humanoids based on such creatures similar to rats, rabbits, mice, and guinea pigs. Often eccentric and unpredictable, the Chua are skilled with Ice, Ground, and Fire magic. Because of this, they have natural resistance to heat and fire, and can handle working in stifling conditions far better than the other races. Moreover, they are the least affected by extreme weather, able to transverse scorching deserts and frozen tundra areas more comfortably than anyone else. Chua have a transformation similar to Neko, with the same activation conditions.
Angel - Angels are the most recognizable as the humans from the normal Pokémon world, taking on an appearance that looks exactly like humans except for a pair of feather wings they have on their backs. Angels are the only race that can fly without use of a flying spell, and have strong proficiencies in Electric, Flying, and Dragon magic.
Merfolk - Mermaids and mermen, collectively called Merfolk, appear as half-human, half-fish humanoids while submerged in water and have incredible swimming ability. Meanwhile, they have perfected most of their tools, technology, and equipment to work perfectly underwater. If need be, they can emerge from the water and after arriving on the surface, their fish tails will become human legs for a temporary amount of time. They can stay like this and walk on the ground for about three days before they start to become dehydrated and dizzy and need to return to the water. While on land they're identified by the gills on their necks if one were to look closely. Merfolk specialize in Water, Fairy, and Poison magic.
COMBAT
Unlike Harry Potter, wands aren't present. Fighting with magic can be done in the form of enchanted melee strikes (like a fire or thunder punch) or as projectiles like a fireball or ice beam. Fighting without magic, such as using a melee weapon like a pipe or a sword, is possible, but will be seen as quite primitive (on the level of bringing a knife to a gun fight).
If you cannot speak, you cannot cast (hence, taking a hostage by duct-taping their mouths is an effective way to suppress their magic, much like blindfolding a sharpshooter temporarily nullifies most of their skills). Spells that cause the opposing caster to be muted are possible, but only last for a temporary amount of time and have very high rates of failure when attempted to be used in rapid succession.
Though your character can have a library of spells to work with, the general idea is they can only use one spell for every post. Spells are limited by two things: fair play and imagination. The second one means as long as it's not god-modding, it can be used. As before, everything has strengths and weaknesses that can be exploited. Bigger is not necessarily better, as we all know.
Spells take on many different forms, such as elemental bullets being fired from the fingers in a gun-like fashion, actually conjuring a gun-like device and shooting elemental bullets from it, and healing spells that are typically the material of fantasy RPGs. Also, the typical performance enhancer spells (buffs) are possible also.
Just about every Pokémon attack is a spell. Some are exclusive to Pokémon however, and have no use to humans.
Conjuring large spells or effects is possible, but takes time. Summoning creatures, devices, and the like are also possible, but have a limited duration of existence and must return back to where they were summoned from eventually.
RULES
Please follow the Pokémon Crossroads Community Rules (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?152-Pokemon-Crossroads-Community-Rules) and the Pokémon Crossroads Role Playing Rules (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?175-Roleplay-Stage). Following these rules would include:
No godmoding.
No bunnying other characters.
No instant teleportation. Travel across great distances requires at least one post of travel.
When the GM feels the rules have been broken, he will immediately invalidate the post in question and ask the poster to change it.
If, following prior warning, or if done flagrantly, rule-breaking will be punished with a strike. Three strikes equals an immediate ban from the Role Play.
If the incident is particularly heinous, we reserve the right to ban you from the RP without prior warning or strikes.
There is a 48 hour cooldown on posts, meaning you can only post once every two days. Please keep track of your own timer. This is to ensure most people can keep up with the RP and don't get left behind.
Please start each of your posts off with the following header for everyone's convenience:

THE 1.5 ATTACK RULE
This rule was created to make attacking and defending actions more fair and more realistic, meaning your character can only do so much in a single post to address defending themselves against attacks and making reprisal attacks of their own.
These actions do not have to be done in this order.
ACTION 1: A CHANCE TO DEFEND/TAKE DAMAGE
When your character is being attacked, you get the chance to do one of the following:
Take damage/allow your character to be hit
Dodge the attack (use this sparingly and don't dodge everything)
Parry, deflect, block, and so on and so forth (again, sparingly)
Again, your character should take damage every now and then, especially after repeated attack attempts. This does not necessarily mean they have to die, but they should take a few burns, bruises, and wounds keep it more realistic.
Also, you get this action each time your character is attacked. So if three people are attacking your character at once, you get the chance to respond to each of them, but bear in mind, if your character is being attacked that many times, at least one of them should do some kind of damage. Dodging/blocking all three without a scratch is unlikely. The more your character is ganged up on, the more they should be taking damage.
ACTION 2: A CHANCE TO ATTACK/RESPOND
You can attack another character or named NPC however you'd like (unnamed NPCs don't count toward these allowances, albeit you shouldn't wipe out excessive amounts of these kinds of NPCs in a single post). Once you've decided on your target and how you want to attack them, that's your attack.
Do not say your attack hits or declare it to be successful if the target is in the hands of another RPer who never authorized you to land a successful attack on them. That's still for them to decide. Otherwise, it's bunnying and nobody likes that.
Your response could also be in the form of running away from the battle or taking defensive cover without returning fire. Someone who attempts to run away without attacking in response would be more successful and clear more distance than someone who tries to both run away and return fire at the same time.
ACTION 3. ONE MINOR OFFENSIVE/MINOR ACTION
Besides your attack, you can do some other combat/support action that does not attempt to directly damage a living target, such as healing your character, prepare a weapon, use a device/equipment, and so on, provided it can be done relatively quickly.
If you choose, you could sacrifice your entire attack action to perform several support actions by breaking away from the fight and using that post to use or set up weapons/equipment, heal, and other non-combat actions in a single post.
OR
You can perform a minor combat action, such as a fast and weak attack against another target, which would be along the lines of throwing/shooting a weapon that would realistically take less than three seconds, or use a quick melee attack against a target that's very close to you. In order to do this, your character should not be traveling to have to perform it, and should not be able to travel anywhere after said attack is made. In other words, you can't make your quick attack and then run away. Not to mention this attack is quick and you don't have time to take careful aim.
---------------------
So with all these in mind, you could do the following for example:
Dodge an incoming fireball - Your DEFEND action
Throw a boulder at a target - Your ATTACK action
Throw a quick explosive charge on a building to collapse it - Your MINOR SUPPORT action (detonating it would have to wait until next turn).
Another example:
Getting struck by an incoming electric attack - Your DEFEND action
Throwing a suppressing net on an enemy - Your MINOR SUPPORT action
Attacking the same netted enemy with a thrown explosive - Your ATTACK action
Another:
Blocking a grenade by taking cover - Your DEFEND action
Attacking Target A with a rocket launcher - Your ATTACK action
Attacking Target B's rifle in an attempt to disable the weapon - Your MINOR SUPPORT action
And finally:
Dissipate a fireball attack by using a wind attack on it - Your DEFEND action
Summoning creatures as support allies - Your MINOR SUPPORT action (this does not include ordering them to attack, which would count as an attack action. Here they would only be on standby to be used next post)
Hot-wiring a nearby vehicle - Another SUPPORT action taking the place of the ATTACK action

Name: Karai "Kar" Horoshi
Gender: Female
Species: Neko
Age: 22
Team: Phoenix Battalion
Description: The following is the form she's often seen in.
She's 5'6". She has brown eyes, black hair, and her thin fur is golden colored.
She has a small nose and high cheekbones. Her black hair is long down to her hips, a little spiky due to hairstyle, and has wispy bangs that hang low enough to barely cover her eyebrows. The bangs and hair wave when she walks. She also has a tattoo which looks like a necklace and is visible through her fur. See reference picture.
From the shoulders to her fingers, you can see scars that healed and there's no fur growing there.
Like her face, Karai's body is pleasant to the eye. Her figure is slender but very curvy. She has the same tattoos as Hikage, but hers are on the right instead of the left. She exercises as often as possible so she has a thin waist and wide hips. She has the average amount of muscle on her arms and legs.
Now the clothes. All are form fitting.
She wears a low cut and showy crop top which is ripped in some places. It has a snake pattern in black and white.
She has gloved bracers reinforced with enchanted metal, from the middle of her arms down to her hands. They are used to block melee attacks. She wears her Mega Bracelet on her right arm.
For pants she wears jeans with a snake pattern, which are ripped in some places. From the knee down, a grid of leather straps reinforced with enchanted metal protects her legs and acts like leg bracers for blocking attacks similar to her arm bracers. The jeans cover what needs to be covered.
She doesn't wear shoes, finding her own feet good enough for walking, and this way it's easier to extend her claws. If the landscape is particularly dangerous, she enchants the soles of her feet with defensive magic to protect them.
The colors change from day to day, but the outfit really doesn't.
Personality: Karai pretends to have emotions, but doesn't really have any anymore. Her personality boils down to "I don't care" unless money is involved. She pretends to be nice to others if that's part of the job she's on, but really she doesn't care for anything or anybody. In reality she only cares about what it would do for her bottom line. If you want her to feel for you, show her money. Otherwise the REAL Karai is unemotional and uncaring. If she goes on an infiltration mission or just needs to break in and charm people, she can act like a normal person and play a role. She's an extremely talented actor, and those who know her only think they know her for as long as she needs to act that way to do what she needs to do. She can pretend to have any personality or pretend to feel any emotion she needs to in order to complete her mission. Those who really know her know that she uses her acting talent all the time to fit in and not creep people out, and that many things she says to others are lies. She can fabricate intricate back stories as alibis on the drop of a pin. Of course people who know this are either no longer alive, are former/current employers, or are Hanzo graduates.
When around team members she usually isn't acting, lying, or pretending, and depending on if they were creeped out by her lack of emotions and feeling might be acting normal for them to not be creeped out. It's still just an act though.
Under her facade of not caring about anything is a very damaged person who was taught to be an unfeeling machine since the early teens. She would like nothing else than to learn to feel something again and care about people, but knows it would compromise her job integrity. For now, she doesn't attach to anybody except fellow Hanzo graduates. Everybody else is probably just going to end up a corpse anyway, so why get attached to the walking dead? Maybe this will change when order is restored.
Background: Karai came from pretty humble and normal beginnings. She was born to pretty average parents from Ekruteak in Johto. She went to a regular school until grade 5 when she was 11 years old. No major events, just a happy childhood. Her life changed when she was to attend high school. Her parents revealed the family legacy: They were members of a secret line of shinobi and everybody in the family attended Hanzo Academy. She was enrolled for next year.
On the surface, Hanzo was a normal school. A combination of American style High School and College, students would have classes and learn like other schools. But the day was much longer and school didn't let out until 8pm. When she graduated the High School portion of the Academy, she went on to major in Experimental Engineering. She proved quite smart, capable of designing and understanding various Magitek.
Why did school end so late? After normal classes let out at 3pm, students were trained to be shinobi for hire. This part of the school wasn't open to the public, and the only ones who knew about it were the students and faculty. From 6th grade onward, Karai was conditioned to feel nothing for anybody. To complete the job no matter the odds, consequences, laws, or rules in place. A specialist doesn't care and doesn't get attached. Only the pay motivates them to complete their mission and keep trying. At age 11 when she was in 5th grade her teenage development picked up extremely. Like many teenagers, she hated these almost continuous changes. Finally at age 14 in 8th grade she started feeling extreme back pain. To the point that pills didn't help kill the pain and her spine actually started to get damaged. Her doctor told her that either she would get surgery to fix it or she would soon not be able to use her legs because her spine would literally snap in two from the weight being put on it. By this time she had resolved to love her body and wouldn't change it. She needed alternatives, and Madame Hanzo was glad to oblige. The descendant of the founder and principal of the Academy had some very good connections. While Hanzo was legally funded by the Johto government, the after-hours programs needed outside funding because they weren't really all that legal. In return for their funding the partners received graduates to work for them, and it was a very good deal. Most of the funding partners were military, but a couple were less than legal. She contacted one of the big funding partners for the school named Mr. Silverfield and explained the problem: An extremely talented student needed to have her spine repaired. Silverfield agreed to fund the project in return for Karai and 4 others joining up with his organization upon graduation. Karai had no choice but to agree if she was to continue living the life she had gotten used to.After several days in bed a package arrived at the school with a new form of metal. Well, sort of new. It was the rare metal Magitanium mixed with other chemicals and elements. It was grafted to her spine under the skin. The graft was enchanted to be non conducting and non magnetic. It was also made completely invisible to x-rays and would look like it's not there. Metal detectors didn't notice it either. But she had to take pain killers for life and while it was made to function with her spine and she could bend down it would take a couple of years for the bones to completely mix with the graft. Until then she had to be careful to not hurt herself and was carefully monitored. Working for Mr. Silverfield pay for her painkillers and expenses.
Over the years Karai was trained in the use of all forms of martial arts, various spells, agility, stealth, infiltration, melee weapons, and army weapons. This means she knows many ways to take down an opponent bigger than herself and doesn't need to expend energy fighting them. She can wield anything from a wooden stick to a Magitek missile launcher, assuming she could carry said weapon around. She was also trained to drive most enchanted vehicles. She was also taught telepathy to be able to speak to Pokémon directly, developing a strong connection to the team she trained while in school. She learned to give all her commands telepathically.
A mastery of shapeshifting, vocal manipulation, and alibi fabrication allowed her to be anyone in any location. Though not an expert at information gathering, she could easily research a target and ask people for information. She could be right next to her target but they wouldn't know it until their head was separated from their body or they were incinerated and it was way too late. The perfect multifaceted ninja assassin that doesn't ask questions. Or so she was taught. In private, Karai had been losing her sanity.
Trigger Warning for Self-Inflicted InjuriesAs her training was rigorous, she resorted to extreme methods to make sure she could still feel pain, including self harm. She needed to feel something, anything, to make sure she was still alive. The training taught her much, but it also came at a great cost. Did she lose her soul? Her humanity? Was she like the Magitek she designed in the college years? She had to do this to herself to make sure she was still alive and could feel things, even if it was just pain.Eventually it was time for graduation and fulfilling her obligation to Silverfield. Soon after the Night of Bloodfall Hanzo Academy was annihilated in a staged arson on an off day and rebuilt in Castelia City in Unova, closer to Silverfield's location. No trace of the school was left in the original location and no leads were ever found in the investigation. All students and faculty were evacuated and are now Unova citizens, with the regular school part continuing the run off government funds as a legal school and the shinobi part being funded by funding partners. As before, the school hides in plain sight, looking like a completely normal school. Though Karai has had a couple of employers and gone on missions as training during school, Phoenix Battalion is her first longterm employment. She joined relatively recently, but got acquainted with the high profile members rather quickly.
Pokémon: Blaziken (F), Raichu (M), Lapras (F), Hydreigon (M), Gardevoir (F), Venusaur (M)
Other: Travels with a squad of four other Hanzo graduates. Default weapons are her racial claws, elemental finger bullets, and a pair of katana that are actually Psychic constructs. She can materialize them from thin air and float them around in addition to holding them. She has her PCCs in her pockets or a backpack if she's already carrying too much. She and her squad each carry very well enchanted Mirrors that keeps them connected to the important things and entertained as needed.
Dan Zembrovski the Mechari is the tallest of the group, but thin as a branch. A regular brainiac in how Magitek works. The resident Magitek expert, he could reverse engineer anything given enough time.
Amanda Highborn the Chua Rabbit is a Magitek weapon expert. Her last name is ironic because she's actually pretty short. Nobody could shoot like her, and she often competes with Karai on who's better at range. Though she's better at long distance shots, Karai lets her win on everything else to make her feel better. She's often polishing her enchanted sniper rifle, which she calls Flashy.
The mysterious Granok man named Scar never really told anybody his real name. Even at the Academy, he said the only one who knew his real name was Madame Hanzo. If anybody else knew it, they weren't telling. Scar was the muscle and could bench about 500 pounds or carry it around. He gives some Fighting types a run for their money, and Karai as well. While not as tall as Dan, Scar's physically the strongest of the five. Whether he uses steroid chemicals or just works out when nobody is looking is unknown.
Anna Lang the Angel is the medic. A regular wiz at healing spells, chemicals, and how the body works, this medical ninja keeps the squad going when they would otherwise be taken out of the fight.
NOTE: Karai might be better against NPCs, and I have no idea how she would operate in a PVP scenario.

This is open, right? If so, totally reserving and updating this post.
Edit 1: Since I appear to be waiting on Sabi and LD for backstory stuff, I'll just post the other stuff as I think of it.
Name: Lance Harper
Gender: Male
Species: Neko
Age: 27
Team: Operation: Phoenix Awesome! Team Awesome!
Description: The basic attributes, He's a relatively tall fellow with a lean/muscular build. Olive skin, Black hair/fur, and the eyes of a clear blue sky. Lance usually wears an entirely black suit with ruby cufflinks and red tie. His casual attire usually sees a black sleeveless top and torn denim blue jeans. While wearing the suit, his tail remains wrapped around his torso. However, in his street clothes his tail runs free for the world to see.
Personality: As a business man, skills of communication with everyone he meets comes naturally. He's the sort who will sit and have a conversation with you just to make the time go by. Despite this, he never speaks over people, and isn't actually prone to talking needlessly. He is well mannered, polite, and peaceful. He bears developed skills in mixed martial arts, fencing, and archery provides a code of discipline to never start a fight, but always finish or die trying. Such to the point where he would sooner try to talk his way out of fighting, as opposed to actually fighting. His usual calm disposition stems from meditation, and extensive mental training to block out fear. Even in the face of death, he would remain anything but afraid or nervous. It is rare to anger Lance, however it is possible. I'll let you find out how that is, if it ever gets to that point. <3
Background: Despite being born into a wealthy family, Lance Harper was taught from the moment he could walk and talk how to respect people who weren't as well off as he was. To always see every man, woman, and child as equal to him in every aspect, even if they weren't. His parents enrolled him early in martial arts classes, though his heritage proved enough for his combative and defensive skills. They did so to teach him his disciplines early on, and constantly use them in his every day life. His parents wanted nothing but the best for him, and to see their son grow to become an honorable and respectable man.
His family ran the very well known organization of Harper Industries. A company based on the use of Magitek for the benefits of all races and Pokémon. They have served in a multitude of things that your everyday individual uses on a daily basis or some only when needed. Anyone who was anyone knew the Harper family, and genuinely liked them as people. Though some didn't take to their friendly demeanor, and "saw right through their ruse."
Life was good for Lance until early into his adult years, which saw the Night of Bloodfall. Lance's family stood against the hatred against the Mechari. Their belief was that the Mechari were free to do as they will, and the ones who assassinated the World's Order did so of their own free will. Many followed in this belief, and many perished in doing so. Among those that perished were Lance's parents.
After the rioting quelled slightly, and Team Trainer ascended to authority, Lance held a service for his parents, which saw a phenomenal attendance. His family were like celebrities. Loved by many, and hated by others. It was at this point that Lance decided to continue his family's work. The work that would most likely aid in whatever began this catastrophe, and possibly put an end to this conspiracy once and for all.
Pokémon: Scizor, Machamp, Crobat, Gardevoir, Houndoom, Ludicolo
Other: Lance carries a Bow which he enchants to cast various spells. He is also talented with Nunchaku, A Bo-Staff, and any blade handed to him. While skilled with these weapons, he only ever enchants the bow.
Still definitely working on this. xD
This is a huge WIP still for me. i have many things I'm still going to add besides the other section, but this should give a main jist of the character. If you have concerns with my character being too broken or something of the sort, feel free to message me Bron, and we can clear it up. I tried to be kind of creative when doing this, so I don't know how well it would apply to the situation of the world either. But anyways, here we go.
Name: Blake Donner (changed from Blake Jackson)
Gender: Female
Species: Neko
Age: 29 years old
Team: Team Awesome yoooooo
Description: http://cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbseg/696/696753-bigthumbnail.jpg - Casual wear for Blake
Blake is at what you could call the peak of a physically fit and balanced body. Standing at (of what she would consider) an average height of 5'0", and weighing at only 127 lbs., her size may seem pretty small. But don't let that deceive you, as her small size is compensated by her massive strength.
Now, for features on Blake. Like most nekos, she has black cat ears and a small black tail (usually hidden by clothing). She has long black hair which is well done and only tied up when in a match. Blake has what is known as complete heterochromia iridum. Inherited from her parents, Blake's two pupils are separate colors; her right eye is yellow while her left is green. However, sometimes when she blinks, this can change, her right eye either becoming gray or hazel, and her green eye becoming blue or gray also. She also has fairly long nails that have black nailpolish on them.
For clothing, generally Blake can be seen in 4 sets of them when you do see her. The most common one is the one related to her profession, since she has been sponsored and many other things. It's fairly simple, consisting of a thick gray tanktop and long black shorts, and night blue boxing gloves specially made for her.
Other than that, she has two forms of casual wear. Both of these are taken from a culture that she studied on and had custom made by tailors for her. The first is based off a japanese school outfit, having a black jacket with blue highlights. She has a blue tie to match with it, and also has a white and black skirt to go with it. Under the jacket, she wears a black and white checkerboard shirt, and finishing off with long black socks and simple jet black sport shoes. Her other casual wear is a simple purple kimono with a black obi sash and normal black sandals. This is generally used for formal meetings and occasions, so it isn't seen a lot.
And finally, we move to her stealth attire. For this set of clothing, she wears what is considered as kunoichi clothing. She wears a black uwagi coupled with short cycling pants, a purple obi sash, and a small cape attached on the side for a hood. With this, she also wears black gloves that contains machines used for poison and knifes and tabi boots which each carry more poison when needed. She also wears black leg warmers which cover practically the rest of her body up.
Personality: (Your character’s mental state and emotional intelligence. This should also be at least a paragraph long.)
Background:
Blake lived in what you could consider a troubled childhood. Born to a poor family of nekos in the practical boonies of the city for all races, while there may not have been crime, money was a problem for all, including obtaining food. Although her parents upheld their own moral codes, they suffered through a lack of pride, because neither of them had the strength to fight, being the only way to completely obtain money for food in their area. However, by the age of 8, Blake came to understanding of this and decided to end the suffering. She spent month upon month training herself and her body, and learned a fighting spell through her father, and strained herself with learning that too. After almost a whole year of pushing herself to the limit, she celebrated her 9th birthday with her first fight.
She ended up going against a simple Angel for her first fight, one who just seemed to want to brag their skills and take money from others. This match was a lot less one-sided than what he had realized though. Blake was able to take him out in two punches, one to bring him to his knees and one for the knockout. For the first day in years, her family managed to gain money to keep themselves more than alive, and Blake wanted to keep it this way. She was a continuous fighter at fight clubs all over the area and managed to make money almost every time, going undefeated in all of them. After two years, she managed to save up enough money to do what she wanted; go to school. With a steady fund secured for herself and her family, she was able to land in a school district not too far away.
Despite having minor bullying happen for a few years, Blake had no trouble in school, and was able to soar through her classes like nothing. Taking up studies in mainly psychic magic and some fighting magic, she was able to get out of practical high school at the age of 16, passing the final exams with almost perfect scores. However, thanks to her knowledge of manipulation, a government leader had her taken in to do work for all of them. More specifically, assassination work. Giving her all of the tools that she thought was needed, she took up this job mainly for the pay and the fact that her parents needed something to help them stay alive, which was promised.
With this job taken up, she ended going on plenty of missions that were filled out cleanly; she had made it a talent of hers to make any death look fairly natural, as to derive any suspicions. People never seem to keep promises however, as a year later, Blake went home one day to find out her parents had been killed themselves and all the money she left them with taken. She quit her job and vowed to get revenge on those who had killed what little family she had left.
Using all the money she had left, she ended up going to a highly regarded college for all kinds of studies, but she focused on getting into media attention, something that would help protect her and get enough money to help her. Studying with that in mind, she learned more fighting spells to help her throw harder punches after learning of boxing. Continuing with this in mind, she stayed in college for 8 years, earning a Master's Degree and joining the worldwide boxing association.

Other:
-Blake is a professional boxer who's mastered a few styles of fighting. After years of going against who she called easy game, she went into a men's league and became the current champion. She stands as a huge symbol for sports entertainment.
-Literally filthy rich. Her career as a professional boxer has caught her a lot of money, so she's been able to make a hefty amount and save a hefty amount, although she has not used it for much of what people have seen.
-Due to what she's considered her limited potential, she's only bothered learning about two forms of magic: fighting and manipulation (related to Psychic). While her fighting is pretty standard from powering her punches, but her manipulation varies a bit. She's learned how to completely mute a whole small area for about a minute, slow down time for her (appears to move faster to others), and even change her appearance to match someone else she has previously seen before for a few minutes.
-Known to be close friends with another boxer in her league by the name of Micheal Klen (will probably type out for reference in a pastebin or s/t). May or may not come in to defend her from something IF that time were to come.
-Owns one of the fastest cars in that time, that one thing being what she spent the most on for anything. Used for multiple things by her, and comes with many settings under it. Black color with sleek design.
-Doesn't carry many weapons on her, but when she does, it consists of a pair of brass knuckles, poison, and a sharp dagger.

Name: The Healer (Birth name Gabriel Phloros)
Gender: Male
Species: Granok
Age: 38
Team: Phoenix Battalion
Appearance: Gabriel in almost any given situation towers over anyone else around him: standing at a full three and quarter meters high with an enormous build to match: usually, on size alone, he can make most people terrified. His stony skin is made of living rock analogous to mostly metamorphic ore; it's very tough, very difficult to dent or crack. His skin color is actually a conglomerate of several, with blacks and grays and dark blues peppering his surface at irregular intervals, giving him an overall dark look. The clothing he chooses is usually highly practical and very technologically advanced; his shirt (more of an armor top) has several contraptions (both augmented with magic and not), designed to make both everyday life and combat efficient for him. In addition, this shirt conveniently does not look like anything more than typical armor, and so he looks merely prepared instead of armed to the teeth. He usually wears a white coat over it, because he's a doctor and why not?
Personality: Gabriel is a man who consistently thinks faster and more effectively than others. He's utterly brilliant and knows his way around magic and machinery both to an extent that utterly boggles the mind: he made his first Mechari by the age of eight years old. His mind fires on entirely different metaphorical pistons than the minds of most people, and his thinking process usually involves quadruple leaps of the imagination leading to accurate and logical conclusions that were seemingly unrelated to his premises. He's applied all his genius and his knowledge into the study of life, creating it, protecting it, and healing it, and in those fields, he is quite possibly the best in the world.
That said, for all his intelligence, it seems to utterly and completely fail when it comes to dealing with people. The Healer is notoriously bad at interacting with other sentient beings, with a penchant for seeing just how far his foot can go into his mouth. He isn't deliberately mean so much as he's utterly clueless and insensitive, and it can sabotage opportunities that his genius would otherwise create. It certainly doesn't help that he thinks so much faster than most others, and can screw up the explanation of his logic unless he takes a substantial amount of time to think it.
That said, for all his cluelessness, Gabriel is a man defined by love. He loves his fellow beings, and loathes seeing them pain, dedicating his life to easing it. He loves the Mechari he creates, as friends and people of their own, and refuses to send them any place where they might get treated as anything less than equal. And most of all, he's come to love the child Michael whom he adopted. However, his love has a bit of a dark side: for all the love he can spread around, he can spread around an equal amount of horrifying extremes to protect the ones he loves. He's killed or had his pokemon kill on multiple occasions, and essentially all of them were to protect either his Mechari or his child. And with times growing darker, it's very likely that so will his actions...
Background: Even from a young age, Gabriel Phloros demonstrated that his mind was one to be reckoned with, frequently spending time other children would use to play and instead using it to tinker. He loved the use of magic and the study of science, and managed to integrate the disciplines in ways that few could ever dream of. The various things he'd invent did not look like technology supplemented by magic, or visa versa, but instead had seamless and elegant integration of the two. He quickly surpassed the abilities of some of the foremost inventors of his day, and by the age of eight, he exceeded all reasonable expectations.
He created a Mechari.
His parents were shocked at the sentient being ("Galen! Her name is Galen!") that walked out of their basement (long since appropriated for Gabriel's tinkering) and sat at their dinner table the next night. However, they weren't too upset, especially given that their child's inventions had previously been shown to be useful and Galen was so mannerly, that she folded into the family in a week.
Time passed. Gabriel became very learned in a wide variety of sciences, and eventually became a medic so well known he was called "The Healer." He had a comfortable life, and between inventing and doctoring he was well off, financially. He wasn't particularly liked, thanks to his tendency to stick his foot in his mouth, but he was respected for his acumen and competence.
So of course, life threw him a curve ball.
The good healer was in his lab/house one evening when he heard a terribly loud profuse knocking at the door. When he opened it, a grievously injured female Neko shielding a child who looked almost exactly like her with her own body rushed in. In the next instant, Gabe reflexively summoned a defensive magic to absorb a powerful spell casted by a male Neko with soulless eyes. In the instant after that, Gabriel swarmed him. Literally. When The Healer casted his spell, a plague of locusts enveloped the hostile Neko, burrowing into his eyes and cramming their bodies into his throat. But though the attacker was slain, the damage was already done. Both Galen and Gabe attempted to heal the female Neko to no avail.
The child, Michael, stood trembling in terror, clinging to Gabriel like a lifeline as the young Neko cried. With no other option that didn't make Gabriel want to vomit, he adopted the child...

Other: (Any other details about your character, such as what weapons they may be carrying, what vehicles they may have in their possession, close NPC companions that may accompany them, and so on.)
Name: Michael Phloros
Gender: Male
Species: Neko
Age: 21
Team: Phoenix Battalion
Appearance: Michael is a lithe frame of 1.7 meters, tall but thin. His sparse and wholly gray fur looks luxuriously soft, and his green eyes are the sorts of things fangirls swoon over. His body shape is gazelle-like, designed for running and looking pretty more than anything else. Translating for species, he looks like a stereotypical pretty boy, and the usually blank expression he wears enforces the impression that that's the case. It's only the way his ears slightly twitch or his eyes light up briefly when there's an interesting bit of information to know that could belie the deception of idiocy that he keeps up.
In terms of clothing, Michael wears shirts and pants that look just a little flamboyant while still remaining practical. His shirts are long sleeved, colorful, sturdy things that discreetly hide a gun-contraption on his forearm, designed to make him look just little too shallow to be up to something. His pants are more normal: they tend to be solid colored and just a little loose so that he can move around in them easily. This is by design; most people look primarily at shirts to determine style while ignoring pants unless those pants are particularly egregious in some way, and so Michael can afford to be a little more practical with lower wear. Michael usually does not wear shoes, finding them uncomfortable and annoying.
Personality: Michael’s reputation often precedes him. He’s a very well known pop star, an icon of celebrity with millions of fans (especially of the female variety) and is known for ending up in the tabloids. These exploits are just scandalous enough to get him labeled as a “bad boy” (and a bit stupid) without actually making him look like he’s callous or malicious. He's known for saying things just a tad out of touch with reality, and the general impression the public has of him involves the words "just a little bit stupid."
Which is just the way he likes it.
In reality, Michael Phloros is dangerously perceptive. He is a masterful reader of body language and tone, and almost always knows exactly what buttons to press to make people do what he wants. He's also a masterful planner, able to marshal his pieces to beautiful effect, getting what he wants with minimal effort and getting elegant results. He's smart enough and good enough at what he does that he has an entire network of contacts in high positions including the media, the Council (formerly), and many others, held together by blackmail and bribery and things far darker than the "pop star" image would imply.
Given how much he is the keystone of a wide network spanning the international community, he's naturally found himself the target of a lot of malfeasance. Ergo, he has ensured that he's very well prepared for life and death situations. The Gardevoir and Lopunny he keeps on his arms and calls his "girls", for example, are actually both incredibly well trained, capable of throwing down with the best, and all of his Pokemon are similarly powerful. He himself is well trained in both hand to hand and armed combat, but that's not where he really shines. He is powerful, magically, and excels especially at magics that are subtle and complex. In a life or death situation, he's likely to cast spells that help with his mobility and let him get into position to strike from afar.
History: When a six-year-old Michael was taken in by Gabriel, he could only be described as an absolute mess. He had been suffering under his father’s tender mercies for years, his mother not saying a word about it because of shame and perceived weakness on her part. When his mother was dead by his father’s hand, he was consumed by grief and rage. But that rage soon had no outlet, as Gabriel slew his father in turn. Lost, confused, and traumatized, Michael clung to Gabriel like a lifeline, as the only living adult who demonstrated even the slightest bit of care for him. Michael’s grief did not wane for a long time, but when Gabriel adopted him, it certainly made the grief sting less.
Gabriel’s first order of business was to take Michael to therapy, given that Gabriel had no concept of how to help another person deal with grief. Combined with the fact that he had never raised a small child before and knew absolutely nothing about how to do it, Gabriel knew that their impromptu family needed help. It took almost a year of help and kind words (on Gabriel’s part) and being terrified and crying (on Michael’s end), but eventually Gabriel got the hang of how to be a parent and Michael settled into being a child again.
Michael grew, and as he did, two talents emerged in full force. First, he knew how to read people. Long practice of figuring out when his birth father was most likely to be in a rage had developed an immense talent in him for understanding what people were really feeling without any magical help. He began to use his talents to make friends: with peers, with teachers, with people from across the street. It didn’t take him long to become beloved by many.
The second is that his voice was absolutely amazing. He had musical talent in spades, and when he sang, everyone went absolutely silent in the fears that they might miss a single words from his mouth. It took him only until the age of 12 to get noticed and strike it big.
Gabriel was there to keep Michael’s head on straight as he went through the stresses of being a star at a young age, thankfully. But soon he began to get stressed from other places. With his talent for reading people, Michael began to realize that many of the people around him, despite smiling in his face, were really terrible people. It bothered him immensely until he realized what he could do: terrible people did terrible things, and these people were in positions where having the terrible things you’ve done found out could absolutely ruin you.
So at the age of 13, Michael began to build a vast network of contacts. People he blackmailed, bribed, or otherwise coerced or charmed into finding things out for him, keeping an eye out on the various social and political climates in the world. Soon, he had the power to reach corruption in vast areas, and he began to carefully plot out the actions to take in response. He has ears in the entertainment industry, obviously, but also in political, legal, and business spheres that very quickly gave him an incredible amount of power to act, to help.
So needless to say, people became very wary of these indications of a new player on the field, and at the tender age of 15, Michael became the target of his very first assassination attempt.
With the assassin in both pieces and orbit thanks to Gabriel’s Mega Metagross, Michael decided it was high time to start becoming personally dangerous. So in between managing an active singing career, a bustling social life designed to make him look as undangerous as possible, and a fledgling empire of blackmail and favors, Michael began training himself and his Pokemon to terrifying extremes. He even acquired a Key Stone of his own (hidden on his person and kept as discreet as possible).
And the next assassin who came for him was killed before Gabriel could intervene.
After Bloodfall, Michael was absolutely infuriated. Gabriel’s raising left him with a deep respect for the Mechari (especially Galen, whom he basically treated as a big sister made of metal), and the takeover of Team Trainer set off alarm bells both in his head and throughout his network. So while Michael Phloros the pop star is still living it up and apparently both unaffected and oblivious, Michael Phloros the chessmaster with arbitrary amounts of resources has begun to use those resources to back the remnants of the High Magi Council in their mission...

Name: Aria Jegudiel.
Gender: Female.
Species: Angel.
Age: 26.
Team: Phoenix Battalion.
Description: For someone called an “Angel”, Aria isn’t terribly impressive. Her figure is slender and short; she stands at 5'5", with little fat or muscle and a small bust. Despite her unimpressive physical frame, however, her wings are quite beautiful - her wingspan is a full 14', with well-kept white feathers banded black like the wings of a snowy owl. Like most of her feathers, Aria’s shoulder-length hair is snow-white; she typically keeps it tied back in a ponytail. Her facial features possess a gentle, almost childlike beauty, except for her dark eyes, which often look quite somber.
Typically, Aria wears light, pragmatic clothing for easy flight and casting - no metal that would weigh her down or redirect her own electricity, for instance. She carries a large leather satchel over her shoulder almost at all times, in which she carries most of her equipment. Although she wears little jewelry, she carries a Mega Bracelet on her right wrist at all times.
Personality: Passion and intelligence are Aria’s ruling characteristics. She is perceptive and curious, seeking out new knowledge and skills at every opportunity; she thrives best in an environment where learning is encouraged and where new challenges are always waiting. She prizes her independence and her ability to make decisions for herself. This does not, however, mean that she is unfriendly; she is outgoing and vibrant in her interactions with others - although the first thing she tends to do when stressed is shutting out everyone but her closest confidantes. Her confidence, quick wits, and contagious passion make her a natural leader.
However, Aria’s confidence and fiery nature - combined with a twist of natural idealism and naiveté - can often lead to recklessness. While she is not foolish, she has a tendency to get involved in things much bigger than herself, and try to carry too much of it on her own, which can often be damaging to her. Once she sets her mind on a particular cause or goal, she almost never backs out, no matter what the consequences are or how impossible the endeavor - which can be both a blessing and a curse.
Background: The vast majority of the Jegudiel family was never talented with strong magic. Most of them made their way in the world as Pokemon Trainers, merchants, or low-level politicians, where they hoped to elevate their stature through cunning rather than magical talent. Aria, however, displayed an affinity for magic - particularly of the "Dragon" and “Electric” varieties - before even the last of her fuzzy baby feathers had molted. Her parents, Sonata and Reed Jegudiel, were as non-magical as the rest of their ancestors. However, the pair was also a duo of Pokemon Trainers with connections to several reputable breeders. They gave Aria a Dratini and a Mareep, in the hopes that Aria would take to Pokemon training instead of spellcasting - or at the very least, learn from the two Pokemon how to use her talents without hurting herself or the furniture. Aria, Orville, and Lucille were inseparable, and she spent much of her childhood learning her magic through imitation of her Pokemon. Through training and trading (and a little bit of nepotism from dearest Mommy and Daddy), she was able to catch a full team.
However, as Aria grew older, she decided that as much as she loved Pokemon, she didn’t want to make them fight to earn her living. She was keenly interested in the magic that powered her world, and wanted to understand it - how could the races do what Pokemon could do? Why couldn’t her parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents use magic as well as she could? Where did these strange powers come from? These questions and more pressed on her, despite her parents’ urgings to be happy with the talents she had rather than being greedy for more. Eventually these urgings turned into arguments; her parents were resentful of powerful mages, and worried thatt their daughter would be corrupted by a thirst for magic. After a particularly furious argument, seventeen-year-old spitfire Aria packed up her Pokemon and her belongings and left straight for the headquarters of the Council. Since then, she has had nothing but a few short, tense interactions with both of her parents over the Maginet.
At first, working in the Council was grueling. New Acolytes of the High Magi Council were always assigned the most difficult, tedious, or trivial tasks, and Aria was no exception- and the chores were beside the constant, rigorous studying. However, she threw herself into the work with a vengeance, finding worth in the life for which she had thrown away everything she had ever known. Her curiosity and intelligence, coupled with her skill in magic, enabled her to progress quickly as an Acolyte. She focused on more academic roles - researching magic, and teaching youngsters how to utilize their own magic most effectively. Long stints of arduous research with precious little payoff taught her diligence; attending to custodial tasks such as organizing the libraries or cleaning the halls taught her humility and patience; studying magic taught her how to temper curiosity with wisdom. By the comparatively young age of twenty-six, she had been recommended for the rank of Magus - a prestigious position, as the Magi each served directly under a High Magus, and often took on leadership roles in matters deemed not large enough to require the intervention of the High Magi.
And then, the Bloodfall came.
The news poured in, a vicious wave of terrifying information. Each and every Magus and High Magus - a grand total of twenty-one people, many of whom had been friends or mentors to Aria - had been slaughtered. Rumor abounded that the murdered leaders had had their magic stripped away before their deaths, a concept that Aria found terrifying and utterly inconceivable. However, she decided that something had to be done. She had given her whole life to the Council, and she was not going to let it go in vain - especially not at a time when the wisdom and research of the Council was needed the most in order to combat the mysterious threat of the Repressors. She wrote out a message and left it in the main assembly room of the Council where the Acolytes would have once gathered, so that it was easy for anyone walking into the hall to see. This is what she wrote:
“If you’re reading this, I’m glad beyond words that you’ve returned to the Council’s seat of power. Unless you’re here to loot, it means that you remember all the good things that the Council has done for this world, or that you miss the fellowship of your fellow Acolytes, or that you still have a hunger for learning that only the books in these halls can fill. Regardless of your motives, I urge you to consider aiding me on my mission. I leave this message because I want your help in rebuilding the Council. If you believe that coming to a better understanding of magic is our only hope in stopping these Repressors once and for all, rather than putting all of our trust in politicians we barely know, then seek me out. My name is Aria Jegudiel, and I’m still a proud Acolyte of the High Magi Council. Look for the Angel with white wings banded black. I’ll be waiting.”
Pokémon: Orville/Dragonite/M/Multiscale/Jolly Nature

Other:
- Although Aria was trained in the magical basics like all Acolytes, she specializes in Dragon and Electric spells. When it comes to magic, she’s powerful and a very quick study, able to pick up new spells with ease. Most of her magical talent lies in large workings; she can loose a thunderbolt more easily than she can cause a static shock, for instance.
- Aria carries a Mirror on her at all times. It’s a bit old and doesn’t have too much in the way of gaming or other superfluous capabilities, but handy for making calls and keeping up with the news.
- While prefers to fight with magic, Aria carries a small knife concealed on her person at all times. She also carries an oak staff with her at almost all times, as it is both a defensive weapon and an excellent focus for her spells. Furthermore, she wears a Mega Bracelet containing her Key Stone on her right wrist.
- Aria was one of the Acolytes of the High Magi Council, and was very close to being made a Magus before the Bloodfall. Because of this, she is well-known among the other Acolytes, and has several contacts in the academic community and the remaining Acolytes, some of whom may aid her or join her cause in resurrecting the Council. She carries a sigil of the High Magi Council in her satchel at all times in order to prove her authenticity as an Acolyte.
- Aria's family has several strong ties in the political system and the realm of Pokemon training and breeding. However, as Team Trainer supporters and Repressor sympathizers, they are more likely to stand in her way than they are to assist her.

So, I'm curious. When you wrote about the Neko race, it was described as feline humanoids. When you say this, I automatically assumed some kind of anthropomorphic thing, but so far it seems everyone else has assumed the more anime style of things. And while that's more true to the classic definition of "neko," the angels are stated to be the ones closest to human in appearance, so... How would you describe the Neko race, Bronislav?

All done! I think. Do tell if things need to be fixed.
Name: Galen "Eir" Phloros
Gender: Female
Species: Mechari
Age: 30
Team: The Phoenix Battalion
Description: Towering above most people at 9 feet tall, Galen is an elegant Mechari, where every one of her actions has a purpose. Compared with male Mechari, her face is narrow and angular. Her eyes are light purple, with the appearance of being half-asleep because of her headdress-like forehead. Though they are cast in shadow, they shine with internal lights. Yes, she has eyelids. However they seem rather redundant when her eyes always remain open all the time, earning her the nickname of "Violet" among peers that have seen her moving around in pitch-darkness in the dead of a night. Her "hair" is a mass of medium-length, dark-purple crystals protruding from the back of her head. They are angled backwards, giving the appearance of a mohawk. These crystals glow slightly in the dark as well. In addition to that, Galen also has wing-like, metal mandibles in place of where ears normally are on Angels and Nekos. They move as she speaks, and tends to be quite expressive in comparison to her monotone voice.
With the exception of her headdress-like brow and mandibles, her exoskeleton is a dull, gunmetal blue, seemingly absorbing parts of light whenever she stands in a well-lit area. In areas where it isn't gunmetal blue, a light, cream color is used. Her joints and neck are black in color. The material is strong, holding up well to falls from great heights and weaker magical attacks. To attest to this, Galen has fallen several stories off a building due to an accident and survived without so much as a scratch, though she certainly did feel the pain. On topic of her physical abilities, Galen is able to do a lot of heavy lifting and precision work by herself. Such is one of the advantages of being a Mechari. She is unable to lift extremely heavy objects such as a completely loaded shipping crate, but she's certainly able to move around larger medical equipments.
Despite her lithe body shape, Galen seems a lot larger than she looks because of the large doctor's coat she wears, one of the Healer's older coats when he outgrew them. On the collar is a stitched red cross, signifying her job as a doctor and medic working in the city hospital. Galen has two coats: one is in pristine condition, for use in a more hospital-like setting; the other is tattered and stained with blood and dust, used for when Galen works out in the field. The second coat has seen a lot more use due to the recent civil unrest. Also on her left arm, she wears an armband with a symbol similar to the Rod of Asclepius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_of_Asclepius). Underneath the coat, she wears a woolen sweater, typically with some cute stitched animals in the center. Most days, she wears a black ribbon tied around her neck, especially if she feels that the day will turn out poorly. Galen has no need for shoes, as her hooves are tough enough to handle walking on most surfaces. Also, she wears a messenger bag and gun holster when not working in the hospital.
A quick sketch here: nanan (http://i.imgur.com/ZAJChRB.png) though I'm not very good at this thing. Sorry about that :P
Personality: A pragmatic individual, Galen tends to see the world in black and white, with little gray in between. She's dedicated to her profession as a doctor though her peers say she may be too dedicated. Well, to the point where she treats everyone the same way, regardless of their race or background. A bit of an unusual world-view, especially in these times of conflict and racism. On the other hand, her treatment of others also finds its way into social interactions. Galen dislikes long-winded talks and would rather get to the point when talking about something. Where it would take a normal person minutes to express, she can express it in only a few words. Despite her seemingly aloof demeanor towards strangers and acquaintances, Galen genuinely cares for others to the point where she would gladly dedicate days to staying at the sickbed of a patient to make sure they get through their aliment with the best care possible. This is reflected by her strict adherence to the principles of ethics in medicine to the point where she staunchly refuses to kill and will work to her utmost limit to save a patient if there's even one chance of them living. That doesn't mean she will refuse to harm others if in the long run, it benefited more people. In short, Galen has a deep respect of life and the act of living. Also of note is the fact that Galen does not discriminate based on race or other characteristics, choosing to heal everyone regardless of whether they're her enemies or allies.
While not the best conversationalist, Galen enjoys speaking to other doctors, especially on the subject of healing spells. Her one passion lies with mechanical technology, and she is known for being happy to assist someone in fixing their car or a diagnostic machine or crafting a device needed in the hospital. With her skilled fingers and knowledge, Galen has acquired quite the reputation for her treatments, earning her the nickname of "Eir" or the Valkyrie of Medicine. Despite her skills, people may be unsettled by her monotone voice and lack of inflection, however, close friends are able to divine what she's feeling most of the time.
As a doctor, Galen is knowledgeable, easily identifying injuries and diseases with a single glance. Her encyclopedic knowledge has benefited her here, although it seems to be mainly in anatomy, medicine, and the various variety of healing spells. However, her knowledge also covers the breadth of most magical/technological advances, though she may have a harder time with ideas of philosophy. This knowledge has earned her the nickname of Eir among her peers at the hospital. Galen also has a well-grounded foundation in magic, however, she primarily applies this to Enchantment-style magic.
Background: The first thing Galen has in her database is the night Gabriel created her. The strewn about tools, the crackling snaps of electricity, and the small, stone-like child that stood in front of her with a wrench and a smile. She remembers the initial shock of Gabriel's family as she naturally slotted herself into their lives and their growing appreciation as she watched over Gabriel and his various projects. Since then, she's been charged as Gabriel's caretaker and takes after him in her pursuit of knowledge. She studied medicine and anatomy quickly and was certified as a practicing doctor after only five years of study. She took a comfortable job in the city hospital, taking care to be home as often as possible to make sure that Gabriel could take care of himself.
This is how life goes, until the night Michael arrived in their household. She was the one who disposed of both the male and female Neko's corpse. There was no chance of healing for the male Neko as insects gouged out every exposed skin on his body. As for the female Neko -- the only thing Galen could do was comfort her as she passed on. To each she gave a proper burial, though that night drove home her inability to save everyone. She carried on as usual after that night, with the exception of the shocked Neko child Gabriel decided to adopt. Over time, she came to be fond of him, though interested in a lot of his activity since they seemed to be things Gabriel didn't do. She was non-judgmental about the whole affair at the very least.
With the inclusion of Michael into the family, Galen took it upon herself to make sure that Michael made it through the trauma. And he did, as far as Galen knew. For some reason, her workload had increased to not only taking care of patients that trickle in from the surrounding areas, but also to developing and working on new medical technology. Not to mention, the amount of wounded people coming in from the recent civil wars led to her being called into action as an battlefield medic. Her skills as a doctor trumped many people's bigoted views of the Mechari. Galen came to be viewed as a lifesaver to many with her potent healing spells and expertise, leading to her being split between racing off towards any sort of conflict breaking out nearby and operating in the hospitals.
Galen is currently working with Gabriel and Michael to investigate the Bloodfall. She personally supports the rebuilding of the High Magi Council for being the most stable and proven option based on pre-Bloodfall events. She still offers medical support to those that need it including other teams, for those who pass through the swinging doors of the operating room deserve to be treated. However, she has some suspicions that whatever she's doing is prolonging the power struggle among factions.
Pokémon:
[Hippocrates] Blissey (F)
[Athena] Metagross (NA)
[Fairweather] Lopunny (F) /can Mega-Evolve - Galen carries the Mega Stone on her wrist in bracelet form/
[Titan] Golurk (M)
[Tenderhorn] Sawsbuck (F)
[Kiowa] Ludicolo (M)
Other:
Motorbike - Galen owns a well-maintained motorbike. Since it's one of the earlier models of flying bikes, there's a few hiccups here and there. Over the years, Galen has skills to easily maneuver it in a fight to get to where she want to be. The bike sometimes acts as a living creature, however part of that can be chalked up to the little experiments Galen has done with the bike and Enchantment-type magic over the years. Bikes aren't supposed to be able to spit out fire, are they?
Revolver - Galen carries around a single-action revolver, stamped with "Contender", slightly modified to handle the power of the enchanted bullets as they leave the barrel. This is mainly for self-defense and faster treatment, especially in the heart of the conflicts that Galen finds herself in as a medic. Galen is known to be extremely precise with her shots, easily able to hit the same target multiple times in a row.
Bullets - If you tried pushing Galen over (good luck, she's heavy), a whole pile of bullets would spill out from the backpack she is carrying. Many of them have a cross inscribed on the bottom of the casing -- those are medical bullets, used primarily to heal someone upon impact. Others have different symbols: flames, ice shards, even a weird puffball-like shape -- and all of these bullets hold some sort of magic. It's rare that Galen would have regular bullets in her bag since all of them are enchanted in some way. Galen calls it a hobby, followed by a modest shrug of her shoulders. Late at night out in the field, small scratching sounds can be heard from her campsite as she works on enchanting the bullets. There are several known types of bullets in her bag:
Medical bullets - The strongest type of bullet Galen carries, these can heal anyone from near death to in-the-clear depending on the wounds. When shot from the gun, these bullets usually work the best on battlefield wounds such as gashes and cuts, though it takes a lot more bullets to do something like regrowing limbs.
Phase bullets - A rarity in Galen's bag since they don't make these kinds of bullets often, phase bullets have Ghost-typed properties. The bullets are able to pass through one obstacle while in flight, and hit something behind the obstacle. They carry the same velocity as a regular bullet.
Explosive bullets - Somewhat common in the bag, these bullets explode on impact. The explosions are much weaker than if they were enchanted by someone with specialization in fire magic, however it would do quite a bit of damage paired up with the velocity of a bullet.
Fluffballs - Another common variety, these produce soft piles of fluff upon impact. Common uses include shooting the fluffballs at a wall to create a pad in order to reduce damage from a crash, or at the ground to reduce the damage incurred during a fall. Shooting this variety at people causes them to be covered in fluff.
Magic - Galen isn't one to use spells. Fireballs, freezing spells, flight -- those aren't really her thing. Though she has a well-rounded foundation in using magic and is proficient at all kinds of Magitek, Galen prefers using stuff with inherent magic like her bullets to heal others. Following the rules of magic, Galen needs to use a command to release the stored magical power of the bullets, though she can use them with things other than her gun. True to her race, Galen is able to craft exquisite items, though her specialization is in mechanical parts such as for cars, robots, and all sorts of stuff. And seemingly, anything she touches works better than ever. Spells that are released from enchanted items Galen makes are stronger than their normal counterparts due to Galen's high skill in Enchantment. However, doing so is tedious and supplies are limited depending on where Galen is.
bronislav84, I'm hoping this style of magic seems fine with you since in the worldbuilding, the system seems open-ended. I mean, in general it is item-based magic, not magic done by a caster, so it's a weird indirect route. Might be a bit confusing, I could clean that up if needed. If there's some stuff that needs fixing, just tell me.
Also before I get down to the meat of things, could I have a bit of a clarification on what a Mechari's appearance could look like? I'm currently assuming it's going to depend on the race of the creator that made them. Would it be possible to have a merfolk appearance or such, but without the problem of that particular race, or does racial qualities also play into the Mechari being created?
Thanks!

Finally something I do need to reply to. Everything else seems fine guys.
This race is Male-looking and Female-looking, and the part about other genders refers to people playing organic characters who's mental gender is different from their physical gender, or transsexuals who had their genetics magically altered and weren't born their current gender. This race is referred to by genders, actually. So please choose one.
All races can do magic conventionally unless you prefer to handicap your character purposefully. While yes it's item based, there's casting magic as well.
This race is based on the same named race from Wildstar. The same is true for Granok and Chua. While this isn't Wildstar, these three races seemed fitting and we used them. So Google is your friend.

Alright yeah, that works for me, just wasn't too sure on some particulars of the race. Anyhow, I'm going to be purposely handicapping myself in terms of magic (though it's still mighty versatile, just an extra hoop to jump through), which I'll explain in the backstory when I get to it. If I run into any weird hitches, I'll probably VM you.
Also, I think you might have missed a question about the Neko by Frost Dragon above my post. Not sure if you saw it or not.

I did miss that. Sorry Frost. Was out all day and went straight to the notification when I saw it on my phone. Actually I would prefer we discuss questions here for the benefit of people who might have similar questions.
Neko are basically humans with ears on their heads instead and tails. Typical anime cat people, but I'm adding the light fur coat to avoid the stereotype even a bit. They have a light fur coat all over their body, but it's not fur like animals IRL. Angels are still the closest to humans IRL.

Oh yea, they also have extendable 3 inch claws on their hands and feet like cats IRL though this is longer. Or is this obvious? Some but not all (At about half the population) have a Were form activated at high levels of stress or adrenaline. Would be redundant for my character, but if it would help other people's characters, have at it guys. We can also give a similar transformation to Chua.
Lord Celebi
05-19-2015, 02:42 AM
Name: Lord James Kynaston II
Gender: Male
Species: Angel with no wings
Age: 42
Team: Trainer
Description:
Lord Kynaston is a tall, gaunt figure with only the slightest hints of his age showing on his face. Trusses of golden locks flow down from his head and rest on his shoulders. His face, which could be described as "conventionally attractive" is locked in an almost permanent half-smile, leading to those around Kynaston assuming that he knows much more than he actually does. The nobleman's frame could still be described as muscular if the viewer were to squint. Truth be told, Kynaston stopped caring about his strength years ago. What's left of his physique is merely the result of Kynaston's fierce campaign against ill-health. Lucky for Kynaston, he never had a taste for liquor, and as such, still maintains a flat stomach.
The nobleman is typically clad in a high-powered business suit. As what has essentially become leading the free world, Kynaston puts great effort into looking sharp no matter where he goes. From a perfectly cut shirt and jacket, to proper length pan tlegs, to custom designed cufflinks, he has everything necessary to be taken seriously amongst the high-class. In his ever decreasing free time, he likes to lounge around in whatever's comfortable. Ever since he had to start wearing suits every day of his life, Kynaston decided that whenever the suit was optional, he would dress as comfortably as possible.
Kynaston carries no weapons, that's what his security team is for.
Personality:
Lord James Kynaston is ultimately a pragmatist and an idealist. He truly believes in creating a better world for everyone, no matter how long that will take nor how hard that will be. He prizes incremental successes over zero-sum games, and is always capable of finding the progress in a bad break. For Kynaston, no goal worth attaining is beyond reason and is always looking dialogue with those in his way--instead viewing them as "future partners." Because of this viewpoint, to Kynaston, no one is an enemy--just less friendly. He is very difficult to anger, much less get a rise out of. While helpful, his even-keeled emotional state generally prevents Kynaston from joking around as much as he would like. On top of it all, the nobleman is incredibly well-read and devotes most of his free-time to a novel. His family affectionately refers to him as "a book with legs."
Background:
Lord James II of House Kynaston was born the only son of his parents, James I and Serras, Lord and Lady Kynaston respectively. Born with only a minor birth defect--no wings--Kynaston experienced a normal childhood for a nobleman. Kynaston grew up in Castle Pax, the seat of the Kynastons' power. The Kynastons were an ancient royal family that had little remaining power other their immense wealth and surrounding land. Like most noblemen, Kynaston's life revolved around a flurry of private tutors, structured play time with children of similar classes, and entertaining the high-powered elites of the world. The young Kynaston loathed conflict amongst both his peers and his parents' associates. After feeling powerless to stop it for most of his youth, Kynaston had had enough and requested that his father hire him a rhetoric tutor. His new mentor, Cicero Cicerone, taught Kynaston everything he needed to know about rhetoric, speech, conflict resolution, and negotiation. Through these lessons, Kynaston realized that there was no conflict in the world too big to be solved with words. The invention of language meant that violence never had to be used again!
James I Kynaston passed not long after the young lord's 24th birthday, leading to his ascension to the lordship. Now Lord Kynaston, the nobleman became incredibly involved in Team Trainer, an international peacekeeping force that had been started by a Lord Kynaston several generations ago. The group was quick to promote Kynaston to their Wise Council. Within the Council, Kynaston proved himself as a skilled orator and leader, single-handedly solving many of the disputes on the legislative floor. Come the next election cycle, Lord Kynaston was elected Consul of Team Trainer at Age 28. Since then, Kynaston has served three successive terms and is now in the middle of his fourth. As Consul, Kynaston spearheaded a humanitarian movement by Team Trainer to develop poorer areas of the world and end poverty. Team Trainer Knights were sent out all across the lands to help organize communities and properly distribute funds from the Trainer Foundation to have the greatest effect.
Kynaston was surprised to have been woken up in the middle of the night one night to be told that all 62 World Leaders had been killed in a single night and that the entire world's leadership now fell on his and Team Trainer's shoulders. Kynaston called an emergency meeting of the Wise Council to determine Team Trainer's next best course of action. After six hours of intense deliberation, the Wise Council has empowered Kynaston to enforce the following agenda:
Maintain world peace
Begin restoring a legitimate and democratic world government as soon as possible
Prevent the attacks from proliferating further bigotry against the Mechari people
Through the dialogues to come, Kynaston had no doubt that he would be successful in his mission.

So yea, I'll give this a go! Since this is the first time I've ever done something like this, just let me know if I'm doing something wrong or whatnot :D
Name: Erik Aegean
Gender: Male
Species: Merfolk
Age: 21
Team: Team Trainer
Description: Erik stands (while on land) around a tall 6'1" with thick, black hair that curls in mesh more on top and shorter on the sides and back around his slightly pointed ears. His eyes, piercing with bright azure, are almost squinted by his high cheeks bones giving a more long face extenuated by a sharp nose. His preference of land clothes are a simple, white dress shirt known to him as a "beach shirt" (never tucking it in, nor buttoning the collar and cuffs), and weathered khaki-styled, cargo shorts held up by a white, clothed belt. He is usually always barefoot on land and sports two gold armbands, one on each bicep. His very toned torso is at normal length; all his height comes from his equally toned legs. When in the water his legs fuse together to make an alluring sea green, scaled tail, the end of which flourishes with a sky blue fin. His gills frill open underwater where on top remain his normal, fair white skin, but underneath shows a greenish turquoise of scales. He prefers to be shirtless underwater, but for more formal events he has a navy blue silk jacket with golden buttons and cufflinks with his family's crest embedded on them and a choking collar instead of a normal one (as a normal one would flail about underwater).
Personality: Erik has a calm demeanor; seemingly always studying people, Pokemon, and his surroundings with a hint of dangerous intellect. He is gentle and kind, especially towards Pokemon, but more untrusting of humans and their various species. A quiet nature, accompanied by dry humor, an upfront no secrets kind of attitude, and an affinity for nature and Pokemon have made Erik a bit self-ostracized; however he greatly enjoys the company of a few friends and once in a while, seeks the thrill of venturing to one of the major cities on land for a day or two. As a merman he adores the ocean, but does not like the feeling of being tied to it. He prefers to find solitude in hidden bogs, or small oasis on land; still near water, but enjoys having legs. Erik has a great fascination with nature and ancient magic; however, he tends to not do so well with newer Magitek, most likely due to because he doesn't understand it as well as others do, which annoys him slightly, being intuitive and smart, and therefore tends to have less interest in it and more into the ancient ways.
Background:
Erik Aegean comes from the Aegean clan from Couronne, an underwater city, which is nestled off shore of Ambrette Town in the Kalos region. As a child, Erik was intuitive and gentle yet with a snarky bite in his attitude as he was the youngest of four. His oldest sibling is his sister, Lana; very tall, always responsible and carries herself stoically, looking down on people from her sharp nose. Then the two twin brothers, Seamus and Sean, identical in every way. They're a lively two, always in trouble, always pulling shenanigans; they are usually the heart and soul of the family.
Their childhood was a simple one. Growing up in a nicer than average house due to their royal ties; life was dandy. Their parents, Charles and Victoire Aegean, ran the police of the city and the medicinal stores respectively. Victoire's family, the house of Coronith, reside in the waters between Pacifidlog Town and Sootopolis City. Both retired after the Red Tide Incident: a red tide was coming toward Couronne City and with the aid of some Mer-Magi, Charles and Victoire were able to halt the tide at bay via powerful magic.
A couple years after the incident on a lazy afternoon under the waters, Charles and Victoire had gone missing. Their children had not seen them for a few days and a search party was warranted. They searched the waters nearby, as well as contacted Victoire's family in Hoenn, but none had heard nor seen them. Finally they searched the land nearby. Charles and Victoire had been found, bound to a couple trees a far distance inland; they had been left out in the sun to dry out to death.
The morbid and barbaric murder was a horrible shock to the Aegean children, however, at the funeral Erik got the impression from many high status families that their sudden and gruesome murder was not all that surprising. His siblings disagree with him a bit, but Erik has lost a sense of trust in people, especially people from high status families ever since.
His sister, the most responsible of the bunch, had taken over many of the families duties: estate issues, business problems, keeping kind with other high status families of the area and beyond. His brothers had gone to school for business and finances, but socialized at events when they felt like it. Erik, with a new distaste for socialites and the like, left school to find his way. He attends some parties, but rarely speaks at them and always hates them.
He has found solitude by escaping the cities by finding hidden, cliffside grottoes near Ambrette Town where the streams of water lazily snake their way down to find the ocean. There he enjoys the company of his Pokemon: his Starmie, Calypso, that has been by his side since he was a small boy and it a Staryu; Artemis the Gogoat, a beautiful grass goat Pokemon he had befriended long ago as a Skiddo climbing the cliffside; Carthage the Pyroar, a majestic fire type Pokemon Erik caught while it perused the streams by the town; Xolotl the Heliolisk he found as a Helioptile, joyful and energetic, it reminded him so much of his brothers; Khan, the fearsome Pangoro that Erik had found wounded one day after an intense battle by a grotto, he, along with Artemis and her healing milk, aided the panda Pokemon and later added him to their team; and Sentinel, the Golurk Erik had found by one of the recent grottoes as a sleeping clay giant, it had awaken by the touch of Erik, and since then was willing to guard Erik from danger.
Soon after finding Sentinel the Night of Bloodfall had occurred. Erik found out from hearing it in the city and swam home to find news on his family, namely, his sister. She had been fine, along with their uncle Krakenus Aegean, head of the Aegean family and their aunt Lorelei Coronith, head of the Coronith family in Hoenn. However, both Krakenus and Lorelei, along with their immediate families, had fled their cities and had gone into hiding. It was a very controversial move; some deemed it smart while others cowardly. Erik's sister, Lana, accompanied with a few of their cousins that had remained, were left with the responsibility of keeping their clans afloat.
Lana had taken these new responsibilities upon herself without regarding her brothers; Erik felt this was most likely because she knew they would be little help. He felt bad for her, but secretly was glad she was there to take them as he preferred to not worry himself with such annoyances.
Erik's rather content spending his days exploring the sea side shores and hidden oasis, be in the company of his Pokemon, and fiddle with magic he wishes to be better at. However, his magical skills inherited from his parents and enhanced by his mother and his sense of justice enforced by his father, give him the drive to act and do something for the betterment of his family and everyone effected by the Night of Bloodfall.
His family have been involved with Team Trainer in the past and his parents, along with his uncle Krakenus and aunt Lorelei, had been known members. None of the Aegean kin had joined the team, as usually one did so when head of their families and married, but Erik thought differently and went ahead and titled himself a member. He had hoped this would give him some sense of direction, or provide good will for his family and city, but so far none has changed.
Pokémon:
Calypso (Starmie, Genderless, Natural Cure, Calm);
Artemis (Gogoat, Female, Sap Sipper, Relaxed);
Carthage (Pyroar, Male, Rivalry, Relaxed);
Sentinel (Golurk, Genderless, Iron First, Brave);
Xolotl (Heliolisk, Male, Dry Skin, Jolly);
Khan (Pangoro, Male, Iron Fist, Bold)
Other:
- Erik works well with a spear or trident, but prefers, if close combat, to use daggers or pressure point martial arts. Being a merman and living in the ocean, his fighting style is very fluid and flexible.
- As for magic, he specializes with water manipulation and poison.
- He likes trying to play with the weather and electric magic, as well as plant manipulation, but struggles with them slightly.
- He's exceptionally well at tipping his daggers and spears with poison magic.
- He tends to stray from fire magic and is always extra cautious with electric magic when around water, which is most of the time.

Name: Lucy Tonitrui
Gender: Female
Species: Angel
Age: 19
Team: Team Awesome
Description: Lucy has long, white hair and azure eyes. She usually doesn't tie it up and she usually has something that looks like feathers in her hair behind each ear. (Like this http://s1.zerochan.net/Odin.Sphere.600.677629.jpg)
Lucy is 160 cm tall and pretty light. She is pretty skinny and looks pretty fragile. She is also well rounded. She is wearing a black top with a short blue skirt. Under the skirt she also wears shorts. (You can guess why) She is also wearing black boots reaching her knees. She has large birdlike wings which are, unlike most angels, white with black tips. Lucy doesn't wear any jewelry, except for a small necklace she got from her father for her birthday. The necklace is pretty simple with the chain and a small crystal in the form of a teardrop.
Personality: Lucy is usually pretty distant and doesn’t easily trust people but she can be really kind when you get to know her. She is also pretty unsure about her abilities but she wouldn’t hesitate to protect the people she cares for. Lucy has a deep love for pokemon and nature and she loves rain. Lucy doesn’t want people to find out who she really is and refuses to talk about her past, altough she herself is really curious. Lucy also is normally very calm and dislikes fighting. She rather avoids fights if possible. It is difficult to make her angry but she can be pretty emotional and is sometimes easy to bring to tears.
Background: Her real name is Gwendolyn Strauss. She is the daughter of Cornelius Strauss, one of the world leaders who got assassinated during the Night of the Bloodfall. Because of that night, her life changed drastically. Before that happened, she was raised as a lady and she had everything she wanted. Everything, except friends. Her father was never home and she always felt so lonely. Not only that, she had to study a lot. Her mother was really strict on that. If she didn't do well she did get punished in one way or the other. It put Lucy under a lot of pressure. She never really had any fun in her life. The only people around her were the staff.
One day her father introduced her to a boy. His name was Julius. They seemed to get along pretty well but what Lucy didn’t know was that her father had arranged a marriage with him. Lucy was shocked when she found out and got in a huge fight with her father. The last words she told him was that he can drop dead before she ran off to her room. The same night her father got killed. Lucy was devastated. Not only that, she also regretted how she acted to him. The marriage got canceled and Julian left to go back to his home. Her mother was heartbroken when she heard the news of her husband's dead. She seemed to have lost the will to live and Lucy could hear her crying in her room everyday. Lucy never was on great terms with her mother but seeing her like this broke her heart. Because of that she decided to find the people who killed her father so something like that wouldn't happen again.
Replacing her fancy clothes with casual clothes made it a lot easier for her to blend in with the regular people. Not only that, but for the first time in her life, Lucy actually felt free. It was also then she realized how unhappy she actually was in the mansion. There aren't many people who know of her background and she always tried to keep it that way. Lucy once got attacked by someone who knew who she was. Luckily she managed to get away. Lucy knows well enough that people are after her and after the families of the other past leaders. Lucy could endanger the people around her because of that. That is why she doesn't trust people and always acts so distant. Not because she is mean, but to protect them. She traveled around from place to place in search for information. She never made any real friends and never stayed in a place for long. There were a few people she got along with. To get around she had to do some jobs. There were a few shady ones but for most she used her magical powers or her ability to fly. Even after all this time, she still didn't find much information on what happened but she is not planning to give up. She keeps trying, even when nobody else does.
Pokémon:
- Dawn the espeon (F)
- Inferno the Charizard (M)
- Eclips the Absol (M) (Can mega evolve)
- Spore the Breloom (M)
- Serena the Lapras (F)
- Cloud the Altaria (F)
Other:
- Because she spent most of her time studying, she knows a wide variety of spells. Lucy normally uses wind and electric spells. The stronger spells usually take longer to cast.
- Since Lucy pretty much dislikes fighring, she rather stands at the sidelines supporting others. She can use spells that temporarely raise other people their abilities and she knows a lot of healing spells. She can also create shields to block weak attacks.
- Lucy is physically pretty weak but she is pretty agile. She also has pretty good reflexes but when healing she only thinks about the injured person. That is when she is most vulnerable.
I will forever love the person who recognizes the people in the picture.
Also, I am Belgian, I no use feet. I can change it tough. I hope this is good enough. Character creation has always been one of those difficult things for me

I know people aren't completely done, but I'd like to see more history from purple and Ace. purple in addition I can't get an accurate idea of what your character looks like (description should be able to stand without a pic) even though angels are very human-like.

As I said, I'm not good at all that. Character discription least of all. Even if I tried, I couldn't do that one well. I will see what I can do tough.
I already changed a bit but I have to bow my head over how to describe my char.

It's fine, it's fine. I don't wanna turn you away on the description, but please she needs more history. If possible, maybe a bit more personality but only if you can. Bare minimum is 2 paragraphs for history.

I added some more of those. Inspiration comes and goes. I am going to try to get a better disscription of how she looks later and take a closer look at her abilities. I still haven't really thought about that part.

You might want to edit this info into the Neko information in your first post. It's gonna get easier and easier to miss as this thread grows, otherwise.

Name: Davven Spelloyal
Gender: Male
Species: Angel
Age: 22
Team: Team Awesome
Description: Davven is of a moderate statue, being around 1 meter and 80 centimeter he has a simple muscle build, other than that he would appear quite thin at first glance. His hair is long and so he keeps it at occasions in binded together at the back of his head, the colour of it appears in a light black. His facial structure is quite strong, he has a thin chin line and his eyes always have a hint of some seriousness in them. His normal clothing choice are some normal black pants he always finds somehow, and a dark green with coat with some light green spots scattered over it.
Personality: Davven is the thinker most of the times in groups, he tries to reduce speaking to others, only if it is needed. Which does not mean he isn't confident in himself, he is very confident in his abilities. He has developed quite a good sense of hearing and spotting out the unusual, he can get quite paranoid at times. Which comes that he has to always feel like the situation is secure, which makes him easy to panic when he gets thrown into sudden changes. Other than that he can get quite creative within emergencies, and can act quickly.
Background: Davven grew up in a small village, his father learned him early on in the magic that was valuable for Davven. This is how Davven quickly learned some handy magic, he never really picked quickly up on the flying, as he had his trouble learning and his father was getting more and more angry with him every day. But at one day a year later, Davven finally took flight with his wings making him feel like he finally accomplished something. Other than that nothing really happened in the Childhood of Davven as he thanks to his boredom always got in trouble with his father, since he already did something again with the fellow kids that was totally not acceptable behaviour for him. It would range from him just playing pranks on the village boy to just use simple magic to try something out and his father was totally not approving of that as he finally stopped, when his father had to make him as punishment have him stay at the cabin that the family owned next to the Bigger house they owned, and just have him learn the magic of the old, which was of course boring for a child to learn about history. It was quite good for Davven though, as he did learn something from those books even though he didn't liked it to admit to his father.
The years went into the land as Davven grew older, his parents didn't do well in those times. This is why Davven helped more and more out and tried to keep the machines continuously run on magic that they needed, his childhood pranks were at this point over, Davven grew into quite a man taking the responsibilities for the family up. His father still sometimes watched Davven but he was always so into completing his works as best as he could, he already was developing an obsession with having to do his work perfect, and trying to make his father prove that he is not all bad. Even though his father didn't speak quite a lot with Davven, he always smiled seeing him when they ate and Davven thought he was doing good, at some point his father suggested that Davven should explore this region and its Pokémon that are its inhabitants to grow more as a person. Excited by that idea, Davven was very eager to fly around the region, not only could he train outside his magic but he could also finally study those creatures that there called Pokémon. Of course he saw some in the village before, so he did know about them, but never has he experienced them like this. It was another experience he had to make to grow more, as he learned more about the behaviour of the Pokémon after a long time, they grew a little trust in the forests he walked around in him, but they never achieved full trust and Davven knew why. But this time may be hard for him in terms of work, but the fact he learned more and could train his own abilities in the forest while learning about Pokémon made this his best phase in his life, till the day came his father passed on.
The day it happened, Davven never left home for one minute, and his mother stayed pretty silent too. His father lost a battle to an illness he fought for several years they said, on the next day his mother approached Davven, with something wrapped up in cloth and gave it to him saying that his father didn't wanted to give it before this happened. Davven found out that this was the old Spelloyal sword, a sword that normally was only mentioned by his dad, and he knew it was pretty useless in battles unless someone learns to cast magic through the sword. And thus Davven swore in that moment to be the one, it was not though before he was making sure his mother was not leaving him too. He stayed for almost another year, prepearing with his mother to set out and become even closer to the Pokémons he met and to make his father even more proud about him. As the day came Davven wanted to set off, he packed everything he might need, tieing the sword, into a holder around his waist that was also covered up by the coat he wore. His goal was to fly and settle himself down in a major city, trying to set foot in one of those as he never really experienced them.
Arriving at the nearest majorly big city, Davven was first lost and confused the first few days. He did find some place to sleep, but he also quickly noticed he had some abilities that some people seemed to judge as pretty high valued in that city. So he became someone to take up jobs for others, to try to get to find a purpose. Helping others let him earn more and more and it actually made the Pokémon he got very skilled too with time, as soon almost 3 years passed that he already spend in the city. In the meantime Davven made himself a name in the underground of the district he wandered around for being a quite skilled solver of problems. Everything seemed to be good till the news started to report about the Night of the Bloodfall, Davven was first shocked and it took him a few moments to gather himself. Before he thought what this might have as an effect on the world that he and all others lived in, he loved the peace and didn't wanted it to change, and so he quickly tried to find a way to help making him quite eager to stop the change from happening as his goal is to set the world back in its former place, or at least a similar state.
Pokémon:
- Feraligatr
- Flygon
- Altaria
- Gravantula
- Honchkrow
- Ninjask
Other:
- Davven is always stronger with his left hand in whatever he does, and always prepares to engage in anything with his left first
- He has a thing to collect anything he found a sudden interest in, it could be in a wide range, and someone never can tell what the next thing he could be obsessed about is
- He goes into a sort of shut down mode whenever he has nothing to do, or nobody told him to do something, but he tries to avoid that as it caused in the past some problems.
- He always likes to work in groups more than alone, but the group also has to work perfectly for him together, and he can't really be quiet when the group plans something

bronislav84 - quick question! What's the level of "human"-to-Pokemon communication in this world? Can the races understand their Pokemon without effort, do Pokemon have to learn English, or does everyone simply hear Pokemon noises?

Can the races understand their Pokemon without effort, do Pokemon have to learn English, or does everyone simply hear Pokemon noises?Unless you think we should change that, I think we should leave that unchanged from the show and the games. Everyone hears Poke noises when attempting to talk out loud, but Psychics should be able to understand their Pokes. In a word where magic is common, you'd think those who want to connect to their Pokes on that level would learn telepathic communication. I hope that helps.

So is telepathy a hard thing to learn for races that don't specialize in Psychic magic? Or is it something that's somewhat commonplace?

Is it acceptable for having multiple Pokemon on your roster to have the ability to Mega Evolve? Obviously only one could Mega Evolve at a time, but could there be a possibility for more than one Pokemon to Mega Evolve throughout the War?

Okay bronislav84 I think my character is all ready; I revamped the background a bit and jazz, I hope it isn't too much or anything. I'll be able to iron out details this Saturday if need be, but I work tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday, (as well as Monday being my birthday) so it'd be tough for me to come on during those days and do stuff. So let me know if it's good or needs work; much appreciated!

Hello all. Here is my character entry. As I haven't role-played in ages, please let me know if anything needs to change. I'm excited to knock off the rust and enter into the WAR.
Name: Chad Ivine
Gender: Male
Species: Angel
Age: 28
Team: Phoenix Battalion
Description: Meet Chad. Standing at a commanding 6’5”, he definitely stands out in the crowd. He keeps his black-feathered wings tucked away from sight until absolute necessity draws them out. His voice is low and engages listeners, his gestures are swift, yet soft. He is muscular yet agile, strong but generally mild mannered in movement.
http://i60.tinypic.com/el2no9.jpg
(Yes, that’s actually me in real life.)
Personality: Chad has the ability to strike up conversations with most anyone he meets. He is a “people” person and feeds off other’s energy. He is usually quite jovial and confident, however at times can be critical to the point of coming off slightly arrogant. He holds everyone to a high standard and expects most people to adhere to the same moral compass that he does. Extremely sharp and quick witted, Chad is strategic in most of his actions and rarely has knee-jerk reactions. He loves a joke and very kitsch and campy in personality, although he knows when to tone it down and be serious.
Background: Chad was born into a well-known family in Lavender Town, Kanto. His family guarded the Pokémon gravesites for years, long before Chad was conceived. During childhood, Chad made friends with passersby coming to visit the Pokémon Tower to either pay their respects to Pokémon in general or lay their own partners to rest. Chad always had more of a free spirit than the rest of his family members, and that was evident from a very early age. At 10 years old, the family gave Chad their eldest and wisest Pokémon companion, Absol, for what he thought was to begin his Pokémon journey. Unbeknownst to him, the family asked Absol to accompany him for protection.
Strange things have happened in Chad’s life, however he chalks most of them up to being coincidences. Thinking little to nothing of events that others would deem bizarre, Chad sees most things as normal. Growing up in the Pokémon Tower has enabled spirits of those that are departed to recognize his sincerity and respect for all living creatures and the memories of those who have passed on. Unknown to Chad, these spirits have helped guide and steer him out of danger.
Now 28, Chad recently began roaming around the Pokémon World to create a life worth living for himself. He had been working under his father at the sanctuary for most of his adulthood, while the only time he left for an extended period of time was to attend Celadon University. During his tenure there, he met some individuals belonging to a group called "Second Chance." Although they had asked him to join, his affiliation remained loose and only assisted in one mission.
His family still resides in Lavender Town, overseeing the operations of gravesides and the Pokémon Tower. Although his family has given him grief for leaving them, Chad has a thirst for understanding the connections between humans and Pokémon. He does feel guilty for leaving his family behind and thinks constantly about when is the appropriate time to return to them and take the mantle of being the Head Pokémon Tower Guardian.
At the time of the attacks, Chad had been adventuring in the lands of Hoenn. As a child, he had heard of Mt. Pyre, another sacred place honoring fallen Pokémon. He had wished to someday reach this place to pay his respects. With mania running rampant throughout the world, Chad thought Mt. Pyre would be a safe haven. Currently in Lilycove City, Chad's goal is to make it to Mt. Pyre as soon as possible.
Pokémon:
http://i58.tinypic.com/htw9ea.jpg
Other:
Chad has expert skills in utilizing a bo staff.
Absol rarely resides in a PPC.
Chad has an affinity for winged-Pokémon.

can we have half breeds?

No sorry, you cannot. Would be too many racial variables and balance issues. Just assume mother determines species like Pokes, or that they choose to only have kids with their own species. Interbreeding with a common ancestor is technically possible, but I'd just like to not allow it for players and important NPCs for the sake of preserving balance.
Will be checking you guys today/tonight if all goes well.

Name: Axel Silverfield
Gender: Male
Species: Angel
Age: 31
Team: The Phoenix Battalion
Description: Picture (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/Ultradyne/Angels.Feather.full.58573_zpsajy4cafz.jpg) (I have no clue who made this, but it's from an anime called Angel's Feather)
Standing 6'3" and weighing in at 155 pounds, Axel has a fair skin tone and a light muscular build. Meanwhile, he has long, silver-colored hair and light blue eyes. Generally, he is often seen wearing a relaxed smirk, and keeps a calm and reassuring aura about him that makes others feel confident in trusting him. He also has a few hidden scars here and there, but nothing that anyone would take notice of without very close scrutiny. Meanwhile, Axel also has a pair of white, feathery angel wings on his back with a wingspan of 15 feet. When his angel wings are fully spread, Axel looks even more compelling and majestic and doesn't hesitate to spread them to appear to be an even more charismatic figure.
In terms of clothing, Axel wears dark blue denim jeans, a black leather belt, and a blue denim jacket over black, fingerless gloves. In general, Axel's clothing is usually casual and has seen a lot of action over time. In the meantime, having a shirt or jacket get ripped or muddied up in the action was never a bother to him. Axel also doesn't wear any kind of formal uniform and doesn't ask anyone else in the Phoenix Battalion to wear one either. In the field, however, he does encourage camouflage when possible and will typically swap his attire for darker clothes.
Axel's physical build focuses on agility, speed, and acrobatic flexibility and dexterity. His appearance, attitude, and outlook gives him a charismatic aura and reassures others of his leadership. While not physically strong like a brawler, he's a hard person to hit and fights using all kinds of tactics from sneak attacks, unpredictability, and even mischief. Meanwhile, he is exceptionally skilled in magic, and like his brother Desh, was almost considered for a Magi position, but turned it down to be more out in the field.
Personality: Wild, free, and spirited, Axel is a fiery and sometimes feisty warrior leader who doesn't back down in the face of an adversary. As he is courageous and relentless, he's also not into politics at all and leaves the political duties to someone else while he's soaking in the action as the warlord leader of the Phoenix Battalion, the taskforce designated to rebuild and restore the High Magi Council and take down anyone that opposes him or his mission. He figures he would let the High Magi Council handle the political side of keeping the peace while he commands the tactical and task force.
As the commando warlord of the Phoenix Battalion, Axel enjoys the thrill of getting his hands dirty and facing danger. He's a fearless warrior who sees danger as an opportunity and every challenge as an experience to learn something new. He is also known to help others and has already saved countless lives as a rescuer. In truth, he is quite literally a guardian angel for many others and tries to protect and defend the things that others value most.
In light of the current conflict, Axel thinks Mechari racism is dumb and counterproductive, but he does want to find out how the Night of Bloodfall was planned and executed and who were the masterminds behind it. But in the meantime, Axel offers refuge to oppressed Mechari and swears to put an end to anyone that swears to destroy them simply because of an event they had no control over. However, rest assured, Axel is determined to stop the Repressors and anyone who supports their malicious and murderous campaign.
He disagrees with Team Trainer being established as the new world order and refuses to be assimilated into them. As he was far more connected with the High Magi Council through his brother, he doesn't recognize the Celestial Circle Decree in the slightest and feels the conditions of their decree only should have applied to whatever the Celestial Circle held charge over, if even. Also, instead of being assimilated into Team Trainer, he's leading the band of revolutionaries with the goal of resurrecting the High Magi Council, declaring independence from Team Trainer, and at least try to attempt to restore the order to represent some semblance of what it used to be.
Axel doesn't trust Team Trainer and extends a strong word of caution against any idea of a one-world government that could far too easily abuse such overwhelming power. As such, despite the kind of threat Team Trainer would impose, Axel knows the path of corruption can be a slippery slope, and knows it is only a matter of time before overwhelming power will corrupt them.
Background: Axel was born in Olivine City, Johto, to his mother, Sarkara Silverfield and Artus Silverfield, both powerful magi in Johto that were highly educated in magic. As a young child, Axel was always curious, adventurous, and never feared getting lost, having a strong sense of natural navigational heading and direction. Meanwhile, he also liked to experiment and try new things. Even as an infant, Axel showed high promise in magic, a natural affinity and love for flying, and strong wits and resourcefulness when it came to problem-solving and improvising.
Three years later, his brother Desh was born, and the two were close and always enjoyed playing together. During their childhood, one would always help the other and give advice and enjoyed the same activities together at first, but later on, Desh grew more reserved and became more mature in terms of composure and behavior while Axel still had that childlike and daredevil adventurous side that never seemed to shrug off no matter how old he got. But overall, the family was close-knit and stayed together through time.
Eventually, Sarkara and Artus had to relocate the family to Castelia City, Unova, as a part of their connection to the Magi Council when their skills and expertise were needed more in Unova than in Johto. Desh and Axel traveled through Unova as part of their Pokémon journey, capturing and trading Pokémon along the way, all the while finding practical uses for their magic. Desh, however, quit early to become an acolyte for the High Magi Council, while Axel got carried away and enjoyed the experience of being a road warrior traveling all over the region. Meanwhile, he learned plenty of powerful magic along the way to help him with his adventure. Because of what he learned and acquired during his journey, it helped him greatly for his next venture in life.
After four years on the road, Axel joined a search and rescue group called Second Chance, often taking some of the most dangerous and death-defying missions to save lost travelers and hostages from both natural and militaristic threats as well as serving as bodyguards and security. With his natural charisma and skills, Axel progressed through ranks rather quickly, taking on squad leadership roles before eventually becoming a leading Captain. He was offered higher positions, but they were all administrative and would mean he would no longer be out in the field doing what he did and enjoyed best. So he stayed as a Captain of Second Chance, although most of the members treated him as the field leader.
The Night of Bloodfall took Axel back when he had heard the grave news that his brother Desh, Magi of the High Magi Council, was killed with all the others. His family was devastated, but Axel gritted through the struggle and knew his brother would not want tears of despair shed for him. Instead, he was intent on finding those responsible to make them pay for their atrocities. However, unlike many others that lost friends and family in the Night of Bloodfall, he knew prejudice against the Mechari was wrong and knew most members of the robotic race were not like that.
Upon hearing that the Decree of the Celestial Circle would grant Team Trainer authority over the entire world, Axel and many others were genuinely shocked that even lands that once were under the care of the High Magi Council and the Order of the Crimson Flame would also be handed over to the Team Trainer faction. Axel felt there was something very wrong about that, and that a mass-assimilation like that would mean nothing would be the same. Besides losing their authority, their heritage, and their traditions, they would lose their identity and would have to adhere to Team Trainer's regulations and commands. Despite Team Trainer's intentions sounding noble, Axel, along with many others that followed him, believed resurrecting the High Magi Council and restoring order to some semblance of what it used to be was the better path. He swore that if Team Trainer stood in his way of doing this, he would do everything in his power to stop them.
Pokémon:
Kindle the Talonflame (F) - Loyal, adamant, and sometimes even a little comical, Kindle considers Axel her greatest friend and ally, and would give up everything to protect him. Kindle's feathers are darker in color than a typical Talonflame, with maroon, dark gray, and black feathers instead.
Rogue the Ninetales (F) - Rogue is cold and calculating, sizing up enemies and memorizing all details about their attack patterns and strategies to discern how to play her hand right and make her adversaries fall into her carefully designed traps. Rogue is determined to be the most awe-striking Ninetales of all, and unlike her trainer, takes care to fight well but watch herself from being caught in any dirty rough and tumble.
Cirrus the Altaria (M) - Gentle, cheerful, and optimistic, Cirrus is a free and always at ease spirit that seems to have never known heartache, defeat, or stress, even though that's not true. Cirrus was rescued by Axel during one of his missions, and immediately the Altaria took a liking to Axel. Despite tough times and rough encounters, very little brings Cirrus down.
Chase the Excadrill (M) - Rough around the edges and eager to go all out, Chase loves lots of destruction and collateral damage, which is something Axel needs to remember when deciding to let Chase out of his crystal. Chase has a few scars, but in general, he's no stranger to pain and damage, so he's used to it and can resist the kind of blows most Pokémon couldn't bear.
Blitz the Raichu (M) - Wild, hyper, and seemingly unstoppable with his manic energy, Blitz is undoubtedly the fastest Pokémon Axel has and could possibly be the fastest Raichu ever if his running speed was ever recorded and on file. However, the drawback is Blitz is especially hasty and impatient and tends to act impulsively.
Enigma the Espeon (F) - Determined and steadfast, Enigma has a very strong sense of pride and honor, and absolutely detests defeat and humiliation. Meanwhile, she also isn't big on working with others and prefers to rely on her own abilities and skills, jealous of anyone and anything that would steal her thunder and hog the spotlight away from her.
Other: Axel carries a katana called "Cry of Thunder" and mainly uses it to channel and direct his spells like a lightning rod or a wand, but he generally almost never uses it without channeling some kind of magic or force through the blade. Axel is also more of a distance fighter, so he doesn't expect to have to actually slash and cut someone or something with the blade itself. In truth, it's almost entirely for show, and he's perfectly capable of fighting without it, though he considers it more symbolic to use magic with the blade.

sorry on being so late with the post. Had some business I had come up along with some computer troubles. I'll have it finished and posed up asap.
EDIT: Here it is
Name: Dominic Havery (short, nickname - Dom or Havs)
Gender: Male
Race: Angel
Age: 32
Team: Trainer
Description: (I would love to post a picture, but my art skills are.....lacking lol). Size is around 5'10". Hair is mostly short, not even below the neck line. It's more of a light blonde hair color, but not deemed "blonde" either...it's just got that yellow/goldish tint from light brown mix. He keeps his wings hidden until absolutely needed, such as for needed faster travel or fights. Prefers to walk rather than fly in travel situations, but has times where his wings are used to fly. Appearance in clothes is close to long cloak-like (color is mostly black while areas around the chest have while stripes curved around the shoulders and arms; all while naturally wearing a white shirt with black pants.
Personality: Dom isn't particularly "hated", but most people that know him sees him as very intelligent when it comes to figuring thing out, but it usually take takes time to think it out. Is mostly liked as who he is. If he just suddenly comes up with it, or rushes to it, he is generally wrong, but has had his moments. As for people that question or not trust him, appearance is one, as his normal look is pretty unusual. He never usually smiles, unless it's for a particular means or something that is very close to Dom himself. Cocky is another big personal trait he loves. Whether he knows he's right, someone else is wrong, or he's just plain better than the other person. Dom doesn't like to particularly start fights, but has a hard time holding back from being provoked. Now we get to a darker side, Dom's inner self. Dom has an interesting personality inside him, trying to guide him. It's not always there, but in moments where he may be losing a fight, lost his way, or lost in thought...anything that could could be distracting him or causing him to have too much stress; this other personality comes out and will try and guide him to do what "IT" wants rather than what Dom wants himself. It has never taken full control of Dom himself, yet.
Background: Dom has had a strange past. From studying more patterns in any changes in nature or the world itself, to trying to research more on these "powers" (Just this character's way of calling the "magic", like pokemon abilities and moves or techniques another person can use) as he calls them and find more if they even exist, to studying battle strategies. Though those tests failed and battles took longer than he ever thought. After training himself, for the better, years later he came across the news of the Night of the Bloodfall. Events always seemed to intrigue Dom ever since he was young. An unnatural event caused him to want to learn more from causes to why the event happened. It's always and always has been a big mystery (life in this world not this particular event). The Night of Bloodfall was something that always came back to his mind. Almost as if it was a set point in time to remember for him. His childhood, he didn't like to remember for being left alone for so long having to raise himself. It was hard to come by food and necessary needs for survival. Alone, Dom was afraid of losing his way. Still as a child, living alone, Dom had nightmares of how he was left alone. His family was attacked by something, a shadow in his mind, left veiled...(he's not sure of what from being so young when they were). It was remembered by Dom by nothing other than screams and blood left behind. Why he was left untouched still urks Dom and pains him to this current day. Years later, one particular Pokemon found it's way to Dom while he slept, a Pikachu. Trying to befriend this Pikachu, it seemed as if it wanted him to follow it. So he followed this Pikachu, but it lead to what's known as Team Trainer. The people of Team Trainer at first were confused at how this young kid initially found them. Dom's only response to being lead here was "please help". Team Trainer, after discussion, decided on letting him stay. Years later, having aged enough to take care of himself, Dom had officially joined Team Trainer. Dom decided that he needed to spend time away though for the time being. This way he could learn more about his past, the events going on in the world, and to better himself and his friends. Though he still calls the friends he made in Team Trainer family and will never forget the hospitality they gave to him. The Pikachu that came up to him those years ago even divided to stay with Dom of its own will. Though now it usually stays hidden until Dom need it or any of his current team members he now has.Dom, after some time, ended up learning particular ways of fighting to protect himself and if needed, those he may need to protect, but....in a strange way at times.
Now, Dom finds himself traversing the world around him in looks of answers. He knows there will be more mysteries than ever answers, but he continues to push on for the answers. He knows he still has much to learn about these events from the past, as the past is ever haunting. Dom still questions this "voice" in his head. Ever since it just appeared one day after waking up, he still questions it's real purpose. Is it good? Bad? What are it's true intentions....if it has any at all other than existing?
Pokémon: Metagross (mega), Hydreigon, Empoleon, Charizard, Gardevoir, Pikachu
Other: -Keeping it for nothing but his own protection (or needs of just cutting something not....alive), Dom carries a dagger like blade under his veiled wings (that he keeps hidden).
-Dom has never, yet, made enemies
-The Pokemon that Dom carries are very close to him and he doesn't see them as just friends or pawns to do gains for a means, but rather to help complete an objective to better everyone else and themselves.
-Dom found his own place he calls home on his travels. Those being a vacant house worn down over years time, but built back up by Dom himself.
-Dom also has his own car he leaves at his "home". It still runs and is made to not only be just for getting around, but it'll get around fast and is built to take a brutal beating from harsh terrain, attacks from a very limited number of the magic studied (not to mention very few hits from them). Runs off of pure electricity, more electricity as its running only power it up.
-Likes to try and make friends with any NPC he meets. The better you know someone the more "friends" you may have for any potentials later Dom believes.
Name: Cipher / Lehman
Gender: Male
Species: Angel
Age: 10226.8 days ( 28 Years )
Team: Team Awesome
Description:
Standing Tall-6'3” with a tan complexion and muscular build. He has
wild loosely spiked top, shaved back and sides. half opened, almost tired looking, eyes; beige pupils. His attire normally consists of a tight t-shirt, tight shorts, martial arts slippers/loafers. When traveling he wears a hooded robe. He also wears fingerless gloves.
Personality:
Cipher and Lehman are two entities in one body. A very complex form of Bipolar disorder.
Cipher the vagabond who has been damned by his research and dark past. Due to past events he has become one-dimensional, ambitious but haunted of the truth, constantly confused of what is righteous or if even such a thing exists. Intelligent in the arts of science, technology and magic/rituals. Refuses aid of others, empty which fuels his calm, logical, strategic, more passive than aggressive, although better to kill than be killed.
Lehman the sinister who has been blessed, with life, by opportunity. Due to past events he has become ever patient, subtle but hardly trusting of others, constantly scheming to reach the pinnacle of life's purpose if even such a thing exists. Intelligent in the arts of the body, mind and magic/energy. Anarchist which fuels his selfishness, logical, strategic, more aggressive than passive, although better to pull strings then get your hands dirty.
Background:
My backstory comes in the form of journal logs describing the important parts in his life or paragraphs that overview his life.
Overview
Cipher, although not his name at the time, was a very curious child who has no knowledge of his past. He always troubled others with such trivial questions. Questioning why people do what they do, why do they wish to live are a few examples. Cipher was recruited by a Head researcher at a local cult/lab at the age of 10. Most studies included the study of cycles that exist in the solar system and ultimately the Arcstar. The head researcher intrigued in his ability, claiming him a genius, had truly accepted him into the cult.
When one is accepted into the cult they must forget their name and life and take on a new for the sake of their research. With how troubled Cipher's history was, having no memory of his name or life, it seemed like fate. At this moment he was given his name Cipher Nine. With his almost unrivaled enthusiasm and dedication, he decided to take experiments to the next level....testing on live pokemon.
Years later the experiment was initiated. This test ended horribly, killing some members in the lab and leaving those who lived with a mental scare that will never be forgotten. Cipher was no different as he had suffered the most. It was then that HE who has been waiting had been set free, Lehman the sinister.
Lehman is the evil inclination that existed within Cipher since birth. Set free, Lehman and Cipher fight for possession over the body. When Lehman is in control he leads his study the secrets of mind and body. He does so threw aggressive means by manipulating and later killing his lab members. Cipher on the contrary continues to study the great beyond that is the solar system. He does so passively and refuses the help of others in hopes of not replicating past events.
It was soon after that both Cipher and Lehman had chosen to work together and leave disagreements to a minimal. It was time to move on beyond the confinements of the lab and take studies elsewhere. Lehman had decided to kill everyone in the lab. Cipher had removed one of his wings as a sign that he has sinned and had fallen.
Travelling from place to place, studying and training has continued his ambition. Upon his travels they took notice in an individual that was being talked about. A rich and powerful family have been murdered, and all that is left is their son. Cipher decided to attended the ceremony. As he stood from a far his eyes fixed on the individual. It was this day, this moment, that both Cipher and Lehman would devote their self to this individual in order to fuel their research. They glanced strongly at the man and whispered "Lance Harper....yes.....this is indeed....an AWESOME opportunity.

Head of Researchers Journal--.
10/XX: Minimal progress on Project Reversi has been made. The members of our group grow stressful
but ever eager. Fortune lies in research.
15/XX: The members of our group have made great strides and may it be
worthwhile. A theory that may explain the passage of time
influencing the cycles of our solar system and the Arcstar.
Although we lack a significant factor to derive an algorithm.
Fortune lies in research.
27/XX: As research continues our expenses increase. No progress will be made
without proper funding. At this rate...I-..we will cease to exist. Fortune lies
in research.
30/XX: Failure has come in bundles these days. No one wishes to support our
cause. I resent them...but I dont blame them. They are all ignorant.
Fortune lies in research.
38/XX: Beyond all research and current events I have encountered the most
peculiar individual, a child to be exact. Upon approaching a potential
donor to our cause...a child approaches me and questions, “Why do you
prefer to live?”. Puzzled by such a question it had taken me some time
to take notice of his hand stretched out offering to donate to our cause...
he must have listened to our conversation. With such a low sum to offer
and considering his age (roughly 10 years of age)...I had to deny...it was
tempting thou. Fortune lies in research.
45/XX: With some proper funding experiments can commence. May luck favor us.
Fortune lies in research.
46/XX: Experiments had failed today but we are all eager. The members had not
noticed yet...but more funding will be required....time is not on our side..
I can only hope that morale does not waver. Fortune lies in research.
52/XX: Today we had encountered a breach in the lab. Although, nothing was lost
or tampered with. Oddly enough, a message was left on the boards suggesting to take a
different means in our experiments. It seems we
require better security. Fortune lies in research.
57/XX: What in good God have we done...?. We planned to alter the frequency in
a growing organism in hopes to better understand its life cycle...We must
not make public of what took place...the members grow in fear...it will be
to our best interest that no intel leaks.
62/XX: Its been a couple of days that we had to shut down the lab. I've done
something horrible...but it was for the sake of our lab! Fortune lies in
research!
63/XX: I made a visit to the lab today. I had assumed I would be alone.
Standing among the test equipment was a child. The same one who had offered to
donate to our cause. “Why do you wish to live?”, “Who am I?”, “Why don't
you listen?”. The boy asks odd questions...We spoke shortly. There's more
to the child then meets the eye. He will be joining us.
67/XX: Research had resumed, but it was not of my concern. This child is
brilliant. In such a short time and he has caught up to speed. Tomorrow I
shall inquire his credentials.
68/XX: Odd. Bizarre. Mysterious. This child has truly captured my attention. He
possess no knowledge of his past or his name. He has no family...or
friends..poor child.
69/XX: The child has undergone the acceptance of our cult. He will be known
as Cipher. Like us all...we throw away our names and lives. His life is
now bound to our cause and research. His enthusiasm has uplifted the
members of the lab. Fortune lies in Research!
73/XX: Greats strides have been made in our research. We may succeed in our
experiments. Fortune lies in research!
77/XX: Today marks a grand day in our history. We have caught notice of a
rich and powerful organization. I can almost reach the stars. Fortune lies
in research.
82/XX: Our new friends have asked us to take our research to the next level.
Cipher has proposed to move on to living creatures in our next
experiment. A Wild Rattata to be specific. Most of the members have
grown nervous...they have not forgotten...nor have I.
Cipher's passion to our cause and research may unknowingly be
overwhelming him. May we all be prepared for the worst. Fortune lies in
research.
152/XX: Today we have lost our core funding...It seems our trust in Team Rocket
was foolish. Had I known their history of terrorism I may have denied
their help. We must suspend all activity to avoid police suspicion.
Fortune lies in research.
858/XX: It's been years since our live organism experiment....we've lost some
members in our hiatus. Fools they are. Had we not made progress since
our return we wouldn’t have found new ones. We even scraped enough
funding to commence with operations. Fortune lies in research.
863/XX: IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN!! WHY...WHY...DAMNIT!! EVERYTHING IS
RUNIED! THE SHEER SIGHT...THE SOUNDS IT MADE...WE HAVE FAILED
HORRIBLY....THE MEMBERS....THOSE THAT LIVED...THEY WILL FOREVER
BE MENTALLY SCARRED....poor Cipher... he has it the worst.
878/XX: Since the accident something happened with Cipher. He no longer
responds to his name....he continues to question his morality and our
research...i hate him. He's wrong! FORTUNE LIES IN RESEARCH!
882/XX: Some of the senior members and I continue to study where we went
wrong. But Cipher...he seems to have taken a different focus in his
studies. Has he truly abandoned his goals in discovering the secrets of
the solar system? Fortune lies in Research.
883/XX: Cipher has crossed the line....he has gained the interests of the other
members. It seems they believe that the study of ones mind and body
may lead to our answers, but they don’t see it. They are being
manipulated.
885/XX: Most unusual...today Cipher has contradicted his recent studies and
returned to his senses...he has also told the rest of us that he no
longer requires our help....perhaps the sight of losing members disturbs
him.
889/XX: I put my studies aside in hopes to further understand what has
happened to Cipher. These past few days have been puzzling. His
behavior continues to swing back and forth...perhaps the trauma of our
last experiment has lead to some bipolar effect.
891/XX: I have deduced that Cipher's mind has split into two. Rather then the
typical bipolar state, there are two entities in possession of his
mind. Both fighting to claim its control over the body. I once heard
cipher say “I need to find Lehman”. Perhaps he is referring to his
counterpart.
893/XX: One of the lab members were found dead in the lab. Although the other
members do not believe my hypothesis, I believe Cipher, or should I say
Lehman, has murdered him. Cipher has become one dimensional while
Lehman has become hostile.
899/XX: Today I believe I had gotten into an argument with Lehman. He has
mentioned how he has been waiting for a long time for his opportunity.
Perhaps this research...the mind and body has meaning.
904/XX: I have come to the conclusion that ones mind possesses two entities:
one driven by the soul and the other by a sinister inclination. Although,
both tend to contradict each other they have both share the same
means to the end. By utilizing specific Pokemon, magic/energy/rituals
and studies they will reach their goals....perhaps by any means. Have
they come to terms with one another? This will be my last recording...I
fear for the worst of our cause...our lives are at risk if we remain. If I
live...my new gained knowledge will
Pokémon:
Cipher's Chosen Pokemon
Salamance [MEGA]
Amphros
Starmie
Lehman's Chosen Pokemon
Gengar
Alakazam
Lucario
Other:
- Cipher as punishment has removed one of his wings. As an agreement with Lehman, Cipher has designed and built a synthetic wing to replace the missing one. The wing is made up of rare metals that resemble carbon levels found in solid rocks and some crystals found in the earth and DNA taken from his other wing. In exchange, Cipher retracts the synthetic wing in his body. Walking with one wing is to convey that he has fallen and sinned.
- Wing(s) are only seen when not wearing his hooded robe.
- Lehman and Cipher have agreed to work with one another and keep disagreements to a minimal, although still existent.
- Both have agreed to choose 3 pokemon each for their research but if needed a common agreement will be met to utilize all 6 for battle and important use.
- Lehman has taken it upon himself to train mind, body and magic for combat. Hand to Hand combat is the main focus. Magic enhances his combat. His body is trained to serve as a guard to endure damage better.
- Cipher has taken it upon himself to train in technology, magic and rituals for combat. Magic, his Lightening Release (a magic and ritual that discharges/manipulates electricity by waving specific hand signs.) and his synthetic wing which may serve as a means of defense.

Sorry guys, mom ruined my night last night so I have to stay up late making up for it tonight. I wanted to have everyone looked over who had applied, but I was extremely tired and went to bed. If I missed anyone please tell me and I apologize in advance.
RP WILL BE UP MIDDAY. I MUST SLEEP NOW!
Lance Harper [Team Awesome]: XaiakuX
Looks good but you never did extend the description as you said you were going to. It's quite short in this state. You are PENDING. Just finish that and you're all good dude. Oh, and you're missing a connection to your team.
Blake Donner [Team Awesome]: Lightning Dash
I really like what you have for this character so far and would like to see her finished. You are PENDING.
Gabriel Phloros [Phoenix Battalion]: Death's Spook
No problems here. You are APPROVED. For the most part. See question to Velo if you're able to answer it. It's minor by the sound of it so you can both start RPing. I would like to see how this character joined PB or what the connection is, of any, but it's minor enough that you're fine.
Michael Phloros [Phoenix Battalion]
Try not to abuse his ability to manipulate others and his seemingly endless network of contacts. I know you won't, but requesting just in case. You are APPROVED. Same thing: Would still like to know the connection to PB, if any.
Aria Jegudiel [Phoenix Battalion]: Velocity
I'm not seeing any big issues here. It's not that much longer than other people. What is this Key Stone both you and DS mention, though? I don't remember being asked about it and there's no information about it. Even while I wait for you to explain that, it seems minor so you're APPROVED. I would like to know her connection to PB though, if any.
Galen "Eir" Terrence [Pheonix Battalion]: TheoreticalSelkie
I'd really like to see this finished, as it ties in with DS and you're pretty much done except for history. One issue I see is she seems older than her creator. Wut? Also there's an unfinished part in the description. Interesting to have a Mechari with hooves. They should have normal feet but I can see why you would have this so shoes aren't important, so your choice if you would like to change it. You have an instance or two of before converting to female, saying they. You are naturally, PENDING. You are missing how you are connected to the team.
Lord James Kynaston II [Team Trainer]: Lord Celebi
This character is unique and normally wouldn't be allowed at all since you're pretty much circumventing the race system, but we talked about it and since you're handicapping yourself so heavily with no magic or Pokes you're fine. You are APPROVED to drive everyone nuts with your speeches nobody cares about lol.
Erik Aegean [Team Trainer]: Ace Trainer Liam
Very clever use of the Aegean Sea. You said you're pretty much done and I see no problems, but some stuff says it's subject to change. Due to this confusion, I have to mark you as PENDING.
Lucy Tonitrui (Gwendolyn Strauss) [Team Awesome]: purple umbreon
I have no issues with this. I had to look up the size conversion, but that's cause you're Belgian. It's about 5 and a half feet. You are APPROVED. But as others, I would still like to see her connection to Awesome, if any.
Davven Spelloyal [Team Awesome]: Daixtey
Around 5 feet and 9 inches is your character's height. No real issues here, except you're making me assume he's white due to not saying what his skin color is. Then again most people do this so it's fine. There's some runon sentences, but it's legible and understandable for the most part. You mention a region and cities but not which ones, but again this is minor so as long as you know which region you will be in this is fine. You are APPROVED because the major info is there. You're just missing a connection to your team, which I would still like to see.
Chad Ivine [Phoenix Battalion]: Marill
First of all you get kudos for using your picture IRL. I have no problem with this. Just note that as many of your Pokes can be Mega as you want, but it's a temporary short lived condition like in the games and they must return to normal for the most part. Also as I said in the War Discussion I would personally frown on using Mega against non Mega, but that's up to your opponent to complain about in PVP. All's fair against NPCs, for the most part with some edge cases. You are APPROVED. Just please mention your connection to PB, if possible. This is minor which is why I'm not holding you back.
Axel Silverfield [Pheonix Battalion]: Neo Emolga
Like I would have a problem with anything you write? Okay maybe a little. Not an issue with approving the character though. I am just not seeing anything about Second Choice converting into PB or something similar, while other parts of his story mention PB directly. So how did the task force form and what's his position now? If he's not in the absolute top position and does seem to report to a desk job type of person, how does he have authority over the task force? I'm absolutely sure you can fix it or explain it so I'm going to go ahead and APPROVE your character.
Dominic Havery [Team Trainer]: Chakramaster
I can't get an accurate idea of his personality and it seems a bit jumbled. You do have the minimum length, but it's just hard to figure out what kind of person he is besides that he has a form of multiple personality disorder. You also don't explain why he might be hated if he's intelligent and good for the most part. I can't get an accurate idea of his life before the Night of Bloodfall, and I'd like to have the "powers" you mention explained if possible. Cars are enchanted and don't need any power source to run. They just do, and are mechanical for the most part with enchantments on them. It's a good start, but is a bit messy and I'm sorry but I have to mark you as PENDING. Also no mention of a connection to your team or how you joined.
Cipher / Lehman [Team Awesome]: Eri
First of all he's missing a last name. Please, it's mandatory. I need his description formulated into a paragraph, if possible. Does he have multiple personality disorder? This is hard to understand, and if he does please state this in the Personality field. He does have multiple personality disorder, and this took a while to figure out by reading the history. The history itself is really strange. I understand you'd like to do this as journal entries, but it's just really weird. I'm gonna say I don't have a problem with it, but it doesn't lay out clear motives at the end or where this character is with his Team. It's decent, but there's some issues. Not huge ones, but enough that you're PENDING.

ANNNNNND Saraibre Ryu thanks for the ninja edit when I wasn't even finished for the night, which you didn't even tell me what you didn't like and want changed. Very uninformative post for the most part. Left you a message on your VM wall. This is also keeping the RP from going up on time cause I need something else in the OP besides the plot/rules. :(

The Key Stone is the in-game item required for Pokemon to Mega evolve; I didn't know if we needed one, so I erred on the side of caution. As for Aria's connection to the PB, it will happen in the RP, but it's not immediately relevant. If you're still curious, feel free to VM me or Skype message me.

Very uninformative post for the most part. Left you a message on your VM wall. This is also keeping the RP from going up on time cause I need something else in the OP besides the plot/rules. :(
Why would that be causing the delay on the RP going up?
Also, dude, you know what we wanted changed. The whole Phoenix Battalion team talked to you about this for three hours and it seems like not a word of that sunk in. :(
Dude, please don't do this again. If it continues, you're probably going to risk losing your Judge position, your ability to take part in the WAR, and you'll likely be dropped from the team. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose from this, so think about it and ask yourself if it's really worth it...

I do not see how the lack of one character prevents the RP from starting for everyone else. Also I did state of why the post was edited. Any further discussion on the matter will take place over Skype or PM, and not in the thread. I'm waiting in your team's Skype group to discuss the matter further with efficiency. bronislav84
Spoiler tags because lots of text.
Let’s be clear with something before anyone reads. The use of the term, and related terms to ‘science’ refer to the general term with the following definitions:
1.(from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe
2. skill, especially reflecting a precise application of facts or principles; proficiency
Name: Remiel Barnabas
Gender: Male
Species: Angel
Age: 26
Team: Awesome
Description: Remiel is a rather thin man with an often tired, squareish face that always seems to keep positive attitude. There are usually dark circles under his pale green eyes and shabby, short, black and brown hair that he usually only keeps neatly sorted out when he is with his patients. Standing at 5’10, he wears a long grey coat with a high collar, one that was specially made with grey gossamer wing covers to keep his sepia speckled wings clean as much as possible. Remiel stands up tall and straight, unless he is hunched over at his desk in thought, and those that know him well, know he has a ‘day’ and ‘night’ owl look to him. Remiel always seems calm and very gentleman like in public, though his face can express that of pure ambitious excitement when he works, reflecting even his hidden innermost thoughts if he is excited enough.
Remiel at work wears a white doctor’s jacket over his shirt and dress pants, always looking as neat and professional as possible without being intimidating. He often carries around a set of glasses, though his vision is not impaired in any way. These are particular glasses that are an important tool in his invention work while he developed his special dream apparatus. On his left wrist is an analog watch of which he always takes off when he is in a therapy session or with patients.
Personality: Remiel is a strong abstract thinker and analyst, and an easily excitable gentleman. While he can be incredibly ambitious and imaginative, Remiel is also capable of grounded, logical thinking. His open mindedness is critical to his thought processes, and abhors the idea of close-mindedness and ignorance to listening. Whenever he gets excited, he is often to trail onto a daisy chain of thoughts that seem to only make any kind of association to him. Often enough he paces when he starts on this snowball of ideas, knowing his ramblings can often put others out. His thought processes can also leave him to be a bit absent minded about the more simple things, such as remembering a coat or having his door locked before he leaves his apartment, which leaves room for second guessing and him often repeating things just to make sure he didn’t forget. Remiel is also rather honest and straight forward, which can give off the air of insensitiveness, though he often counter acts this with gentle wording and explanations, an important skill he learned while aiding the mentally ill. He is patient with many others, however not with himself.
Dr. Barnabas is not without his faults however. Often in failure his relentless search for knowledge leaves him working day and night to learn and rectify the failure itself. He treats everything with care and calm on the outside, but his mind may be turbulent disarray, fighting hard to learn as quickly as he can and remove failure from the possibility of futures in his line of work. He is stubborn when he sets his mind on something, be it helping his fellow kind or working on his Aisling project. His determination and passion for doing so can be confused with obsession, but it never quite gets to that point. However if Remial feels threatened, he will defend anything that he feels is worth defending with his life, be it with words or combat.
Background: Remiel was a brilliant young boy from a very young age. Always fascinated by how the magic worked in his world, he looked into becoming one of the best scientists the world had ever known. Born in Fortree City, he traveled abroad once he graduated high school, earning degrees in the best magic schools he could possibly get into. Magic could do nearly everything, and while many would be content without thinking about it, Remiel was not. He had a thirst for knowledge that seemed as endless as the ocean’s around him. Traveling all over the world, visiting various magical institutes and schools to learn anything and everything he could. It was when he worked with two colleagues – a Neko and a Mechari - on a small project that he had found a subsidiary for his goal in life; the mind. What was its connection to magic? Why did their healing attempts not heal the mind as well? The mind could not be without a body, and this puzzling fact intrigued him so. Were the minds of species developed too differently? No, that couldn’t have been it. The make up between the subspecies was varying as well.
Thus, Remiel went to Psychic specialists in order to work on such magic skills that specialized on the very entity he yearned to learn from the most. For five years, he studied, practiced, ate, drank and slept Psychic aligned magic. After a hard day’s work, one of his colleagues, now friends gave him the inspiration he needed to set him on his life’s work: Musharna, a practitioner of dreams, and dream eating and their Drowzee counterpart. They fed off the energy of the subconscious, both negative and positive and often had the one who had the energy of their dreams being eaten feeling in particular ways. Dreams were the way of the mind’s subconscious coming to life, something that anyone, and everything could do. It was a shared power amongst all living beings. Remiel believed that dreams and the sleep that brought them forth was the mystic recharging properties from the Arcstar so many years ago, and was the magic where imagination and ideas could spark. Remiel was adamant dreams lay in his search for aiding those in which conventional magic could not. Remiel convinced his friends and colleagues from the last five years to help him build an apparatus that allowed safe passage into another person’s mind, with no harm or foul befalling either person. The Neko (Zier) and the Mechari (Aeda) were skeptical, but willing to support Remiel with his research.
After eight years of tinkering and working with, and sometimes against the powers that be, while becoming a well-practiced psychologist and therapist, Remiel had a prototype that was ready to be tested. However funding was coming short, so he had to appeal to an investor with a compromise in order to continue his passion. He appealed his device to many possible investors before Harper Industries came along. Though Remiel was no fond of using his device for possible entertainment purposes, entertainment and education could go hand in hand, so agreed to more applications shoud his medical tests prove to be successful. He was able to bring in a few others onto the operation, including some soon to be needed security and additional staff to help with the project itself. Shortly after coming to this small victory, news about the Repressors reached his new home and city. Though the threat was mighty, he was undeterred, thinking that if he could only take a few more steps forward with his project, he may be able to step on the threat that now ailed the rest of the world.
Pokémon: Tyrantrum, Zebstrika, Braviary, Rotom, Reuniclus, Milotic
Other: Remiel is the inventor of the Aisling Aparatus project, which is an arcane apparatus that allows a safer passage into the subconscious of one’s self or into another’s via a special server on the Maginet. Aside from allowing one to have full control over lucid dreaming when the device is active, it can be connected between two devices to allow one person to enter another’s mind with express permission, though this form of the application is used for therapy and mental health applications only where normal magic cannot reach. The device is also meant to be capable of storing memories or retrieve forgotten ones by augmenting and enhancing carefully specific magic that would be used for these specific purposes. The magitek apparatus works by having the one using it wear a mask that is connected via arcane energy to a host source. The device is still a prototype and has not been manufactured beyond a few models. The public is unaware of this thing existing.
Remiel is also rather good at using Psychic spells, though he is not as effective as a Neko, he’s rather talented in terms of an Angel. He carries around a threaded cane that can be augmented with magic, though looks like a completely normal cane. His coworkers and friends are a Mechari named Aeda and a Neko named Zier, who work with him in his lab and offices.
Everything about the Aisling Apparatus and Harper Industries has been approved by Neo and XaiakuX respectively.

I'm planning to join too but if you guys start before I do I don't care because I'll be somewhat busy until after the first week of June so *shrug*. But just thought I'd let y'all know I do plan on joining.

Signups will never close guys. As in past Wars I want people to be able to join anytime, especially with the point period coming. The RP starts early to get people in a good spot for earning points with spectacular posts, especially with the 2 day cooldown. Opening/organizational posts tend to suck and isn't people's best writing.
Just let me have breakfast (At 6pm!) and I'll get the thread going. We've figured stuff out.
Cipher Nine / Lehman [Team Awesome]: Eri
I was unsure so I asked Sabi. She says the codenames thing is fine, and adds a dynamic to the character. Thanks for updating the other things I mentioned, as well. You are now APPROVED.
The Key Stone is the in-game item required for Pokemon to Mega evolve; I didn't know if we needed one, so I erred on the side of caution. As for Aria's connection to the PB, it will happen in the RP, but it's not immediately relevant. If you're still curious, feel free to VM me or Skype message me.That would just be the Mega Bracelet, glove, or other item you want to use. And alrighty.

Yeah yeah I understand and thank you. I just wanted to let you know I do plan on joining. I've been busy with exams and signing up for GCEA that this kind of got neglected. This plot is a lot longer and requires more attention than I'm used to for roleplays so I'll try and at least take a knock at it tonight. From what I've read it sounds like an interesting plot and I'm eager to join but Time has not been my ally.
Also if I have any questions should I just post them here or message someone?

bronislav84 ~ Updated mine, if there's anything still needing update I'll get it fixed soon as possible. Fixes are bolded and italicized.
So there can't be any refinements to any of the cars in any way other than "they just run"? The way I just meant for it in the character's setup was a placement for explaining how (if allowed that is with explanation) from a way he found to improve the "enchantment" to make the car run better. If it's not allowed, or won't work I'll etch that out....and anything else that's not needed. Lol still can't believe I forgot some of the basic stuff there =3

Name: Atala Pici
Gender: Female
Species: Merfolk
Age: 25
Team: Jupiter Mining Corporation
Description: Atala has short, stringy dark brown hair which is stiff with salt and, of course, dark sea blue eyes. She doesn't get much sun for obvious reasons, so her skin is basically pure white and she sunburns very easily. When underwater, which is most of the time, she possesses a silvery fish tail. Her fingernails and toenails are usually painted a shade of silvery-blue to match both her eyes and her tail. There's a stripe of missing scales down one side of her tail- in her human form it manifests as a long scar. She got it from a vicious Sharpedo attack.
Personality: Atala is fairly smart, but only about such things that exist underwater. She is rarely away from home, seeing no need for it, and as such can be incredibly naive about the way some things work on land, or just about land itself. She is especially bewildered by unfamiliar Pokemon. Overall she is generally kind and friendly, but only to those she trusts. She can be very paranoid and distrustful, especially of people who are not fellow merfolk.
Background: Atala has always been nervous- in her youth it was difficult for her to go to school for fear of being judged or mocked. When she did go, she was intensely shy aside from confiding in a few friends. One of these friends used her secrets against her, and this drove Atala further into her shell. She didn't become more social until she was forced to for work- now she is largely over those issues, but still finds it difficult to reach out to strangers, especially those of different species.
She has two younger siblings, both sisters, and a twin brother. Her parents are missing or dead; they simply disappeared, along with several other researchers, while charting an unexplored deep-sea trench. The four had good relationships when they were children, accentuated by the fact that they tended to have to move around a lot for the sake of their parents work. Often, they were the only friends that the others had. These relationships disintegrated after their parents vanished, the siblings separated and do not contact one another very often. Her sister's names are Kelly and Sunn- her brother is Kody. None of the four know the specifics of their parents' work including Atala herself.
Atala now works at a laboratory that keeps land-Pokémon underwater for the sake of studying. They are a subsidiary of the group Jupiter Mining Corporation, which, among other things, studies the effects that different environments have on Pokémon. She is fascinated by the ones she hasn't seen before, and sometimes also by the ones that she has seen. This is a wing of Pokémon studies, also called pokeology. She has a college degree, and is fairly skilled at it. She feels comfortable with her Pokémon subjects the way she rarely does with other humanoids, and occasionally confides in them.
Pokémon: Dragalge (M), Lanturn (F), Azurill (F), Empoleon (M), Tentacruel (M), Togekiss (F)
Other: Atala dislikes guns and in general they do not work well (or at all) underwater, so her weapon of choice is a long-bladed fishing knife.

Whelp. I like pushing creativity! bronislav84
Name: Pohe Vahoc
Gender: Female
Species: Angel
Age: 26
Team: Phoenix Battalion
Description:
To put it simply, Pohe stands at a rather gangly 5’7”. She has red hair and piercing amber eyes, and her clothing seems to consist of heavy cloth that does not burn easily. For the most part she wears long sleeved, brown shirts with a black vest overlaying it, and a pair of darker blue jeans paired with steel toed boots. A heavy belt filled with tools, such as screwdrivers, hammers, and nails, helped keep the jeans up as well as store items. A necklace with a gleaming white fang, said to be the fang of Entei, hangs around her neck, a gift from her older brother.
When she leaves the shop, she tends to wear a draping, faded grey cloak around herself. While there is a hood, she does not wear it to hide her face - the important part is that it covers her entire body, especially her arms.
Now, one important thing to notice is that she does not have wings. At least, not in the conventional sense, anyway. During her time in the womb, an incredibly rare genetic defect caused the cells that formed her wings to attach and develop on her arms, a condition known as Aviersion Syndrome. This caused severe deformities (she was unlucky enough to get the severest form) in that her arms were lengthened abnormally, reaching down close to her knees. Additionally, she was born with a thumb, index, and middle finger that are also longer than normal, but not nearly as severely as her arm length. Rustic red feathers cover her arms in sparse waves, leading to scraggly, ragged flight feathers that are barely an inch long. Naturally, this means she is incapable of flight. She tends to wear light metal gauntlets on her hands that have a ring and pinkie finger on them, to give the illusion that her hands are normal – and also to protect her fingers from her line of work. She only has six, if you count the thumbs, after all!
Personality:
Pohe is…somewhat eccentric. Having been bullied, ridiculed, and otherwise become an outcast, she is socially awkward. Reclusive to a fault, she prefers to stay away from people in general. Pokemon are an exception, as she finds they tend not to judge – due to their ever changing bodies, they accept her for her different appearance, likening it to being an evolution of her own. That being said, those she has become friends with will know her as being curt, no nonsense, and lacking much of a sense of humor – what she does have is often sadistic and dark in nature. She can be mean, but at least with friends it usually has a reason, and she can realize what she said was wrong and retract it, albeit awkwardly. She can also be highly sarcastic.
Pohe is very set in her ways, stubborn, and ambitious. She tends to ignore safety and often crosses the morality line in her pursuit of science and answers, which can be very alienating. This leads her to conflict with quite a few religions as well as people in general, so she tends to not really be all that religious herself, and will roll her eyes at anyone who spouts what she deems as “nonsense”. Pohe is incredibly protective over her own work, and will snap at others who try to bring it down – she’ll take constructive criticism, but not after yelling at you for it and then having time to think on it. She really hates being wrong.
She is very insecure when it comes to talking to large groups, especially in person, so she tends to avoid it. She tends to clam up when placed in this situation, but her brash, rude attitude will come back as soon as it becomes a smaller group or she can hide herself. She does not, however, hide her brilliance, but she does not flaunt it either. Overall she prefers to keep a low profile.
Background:
Pohe was born to a poor family in Lumiose City, in Kalos. Her mother worked as a waitress, while her father worked as a construction worker. Neither made much, and couldn’t afford any possible treatments for her condition – with two other children as well, it was just too difficult. Pohe went to school, but due to severe bullying for her condition wound up being homeschooled, where she discovered her knack for working with machines and building things when her father had to repair their toaster. At that moment her schooling took a different route – he began to teach her all about engineering and magic. However, Pohe wasn’t as strong with magic as others of her age were, so she largely focused on the former, and flourished. Life was hard, but it wasn’t unbearable.
Then the accident happened when Pohe was 14. Her father had been operating near a crane when the ropes that held the steel beams snapped, sending it on top of him as well as others. He was killed instantly, and the resulting lawsuit awarded them a handsome sum of money. Pohe was devastated, having been so close to her father, and withdrew into herself. Her brother, a Pokemon Trainer, was not able to come back in time for the funeral but sent her the fang necklace, and her older sister fell into drug abuse to deal with the pain. Her mother continued to be a waitress, but was more distant and cross with Pohe than before – likely because she reminded her of him so much. Using some of the funds, Pohe rented her own little place in the basement of an old auto shop, where she began to research and study more on engineering. She became fascinated with the idea that magic was not universal when she discovered a much shunned research paper on stars – and that Arcstar was unusual in its properties compared to properties of others, and it appeared that those stars did not possess magical properties. The researcher of the article had been deemed crazy, and almost heretical, but they had remained firm in their findings and had a small collection of supporters.
Because Pohe was rather poor at using magic herself, she couldn’t rely on it, and the fact that there appeared to be stars – and likely worlds – that did not possess it at all fascinated her. She desired to know why and how things would be different without it, and because she was so fascinated with robotics as well, decided to try and incorporate it into that. During that time, the shop above was renovated into a general parts shop, and was bought out by a Mechari by the name of Karl Beem. He thought her ideas were crazy at first, but a friendship was formed – he expanded his shop to include repairs, which she performed, and in return she had a stable job as well as parts to create her machines.
Over time she was able to get into a network of parts, many being on the black market, from all places. She became well known by her codename, “Outcast”, and often does repairs for more questionable types. In return for hefty payments, she can get difficult, prototype, or outright illegal equipment, such as a device that creates small portals – not big enough for her to travel through, but big enough for her to send and receive [most] parts to clients. She feels she’s gotten close to unraveling electricity from magic, and just in time for all hell to break loose.
Hearing about the Night of Bloodfall, she didn’t have much of an opinion on politics in general. What interested her was hearing the Repressors had the ability to strip someone of their magic – it sounded similar to her own research, although designed for war. Admittedly, she’d like to meet one and discover the secret, as it would theoretically jump her own research ahead by leaps and bounds. Due to her connections on the black market, she has a feeling it’s only a matter of time before she’s contacted, so for now she has to worry about Karl and the shop being attacked because of him being a Mechari. At the very least his well known skills and reliability has helped lessen the impact on him, but his car has already been vandalized twice within a week. Still, better than him being dead or the shop burning down…
Pokémon:
Leorina (Pyroar, Female)
Leonidas (Pyroar, Male)
Ferrum (Durant, Male)
Java (Porygon2, N/A but generally referred to as male)
Faraday (Magnezone, N/A but generally referred to as male)
Other:
She’s carrying a hammer… I guess that counts as a weapon? She doesn’t have any vehicles.
Obvious companions would be Karl Beem, although he stays at his shop. Some of her contacts on the black market include a Chua in Lavaridge (Hoenn) that helps supply more metal and ores (he goes by the name of “Chihuahua”), a Neko located in Saffron (Kanto) that leaks her Silph Co. technology (her name is “Sneasel”), and a Merman in Goldenrod (Johto) that keeps an eye on global police investigations into said black market (he goes by the name of “Interceptor”). There are more contacts, but these are the main ones.
As for Aviersion Syndrome, I figured it’d be all right. Deformities happen in animals (and thus humans) all the time, and I tend to imagine that Angels evolved from proto-humans that first developed winged arms… then a mutation, in this case causing the wings to migrate to the back, happened and they got their arms, and from that advantage they evolved into modern day Angels. So in a way, Aviersion Syndrome is a step back in evolution :P Granted, this is just my take on it… It’s a pretty rare disorder, in any case, and it puts Pohe at a disadvantage anyway XD Figured I’d expand a bit on possible disabilities and disorders!
The portal device she has is incredibly small, and is sufficient only to send and receive packages that are no bigger than a foot in length, and about four-five inches in width and about three inches in height. In other words, smaller parts – nothing like an engine! It can’t be modified without the use of magic to do anything bigger, and since she’s terrible with it, it likely won’t get expanded – plus the smaller it is, the less chances of getting in trouble for it.
Pohe is very close to her older brother (he’s ~34), but distant with her older sister (~30) whom is still using drugs. She barely has any contact with her mother, as relations are strained.

Pohe Vahoc [Phoenix Battalion] Grassy_Aggron
Grassy while I see no glaring problems with you character, I first have to ask you really not expand the small portal device. It plays into the character and makes sense for her, but having it become full size would quickly get it discovered (A portal needs to be in the network to operate at all). I'd like it to stay the same size please. The wing deformity is cool. I was originally going to say no to keep rust unique since he asked nicely ahead of time, but it does make sense as a backward mutation and is a handicap so go ahead with it. I also like that she's interested in making electricity magically, and research into other stars. Very creative. Doing mentions on a phone is bothersome, so you're good to go and I'll edit you just to the post properly later. I just don't want you to miss out on points.
Speaking of which, posts made at 12:01am EST or later will be subject to judging, so good luck everyone! Remember to have fun!

Thanks! Although I'd like to clear up two misconceptions. Pohe has no intention of making the device bigger, as it suits her needs as it is and likely would require a more complicated portal spell - which she does not have, and even if she did, she is very poor with magic. If she ever did expand it, it'd be for plot purposes - AKA a "I need to get the frick out of here" situation and likely one time use. Buuuuut knowing her, she wouldn't give up anything without a fight anyway so...
The other misconception is a pretty big one. She is not making electricity magically - she is trying to create electricity without magic (AKA, science!). I imagine that everything in the world when it comes to the basic forces are polluted by the magical radiation from Arcstar, so trying to create it without that pollution is her goal. In other words, she wants to make electricity that we have in every day real life. The research into stars was not her - it was another scientist, and gave her the idea. The idea that many other stars don't appear to have magic is based on the idea that the Xeth intervened here to protect the young world, but they likely didn't interfere with even a tiny fraction of stars in the galaxy, let alone the universe, so those stars would be normal.
One could view what she is doing as being the equivalent of alchemy in real life, except unlike alchemy, there is actual real merit to what she is doing :P Hope this helped!
P.S. Also, I haven't read anyone else's sign up, so any similarities to, in this case, Rust's is purely coincidence and merely evidence that great [evil] minds think alike.

No need to mention me, except for finished forms or form edits. I check the thread. :)
As long as the thing blows up and becomes useless, feel free to use it as an escape plan once. But please don't just try to get another one made. I'm trusting you with this.
Arcstar isn't polluting the world. It's become normal and the world as everyone knows operates on it. You know how our own RL sun will destroy the world if our race doesn't somehow escape? Well the way we set this up is the world can't 'exist' without a functioning Arcstar, so the hope is that by the time it goes nova again on it's normal cycle people will be able to use the magic to stabilize it by that time like the Xeth did. Assuming this is done continuously as needed and people come back to be irradiated every once in a while, it's self sustaining. So yea, the radiation is good, similar to our sunlight for plants and solar panels. You are free to have some science and the rules of physics do exist unless a spell alters them (Like flight spells for example), but overall it's unnecessary as the magic and magical items serve the purpose.
It's okay to assume the Xeth had at least a semi-natural version of this type of sun, or they just have magic because they do for plot purposes, but yea it's a pretty unique star.

Eh, like I said, I don't intend to do anything with that portal. It just makes it easier to get items for a cost LOL. And possible conflicts. She's not exactly outgoing XD
By "pollution", I meant the fact that it's effectively made it so everything has magic XD Whether you want it to or not :P Which is her dilemma, trying to get the magic out of the electricity. Just because it might be deemed unnecessary doesn't mean you won't have the science nuts out there trying XD
In any case, it seems we're on the same wavelength now. Dis gunna be good.

Is it too late to sign up?
Name: Laura Ignavi
Gender: Female
Species:Neko
Age: 20
Team: Prism League
Description: Laura stands at roughly five foot seven. The fur covering her body is a darker charcoal color on her head, back, arms, legs, and tail. Her ears, face, stomach, and the backs of her hands and feet are a lighter shade of grey, nearby. Her eyes are green with lighter gold flecks. She keeps her hair just long enough to reach where her ears would be, if she were a human and not a neko.
One of her ears is pierced, and has an earring with a Keystone on it.
Laura usually wears dark clothing, which on occasion seems to blend into her fur. She has a charcoal colored t-shirt, and baggy sweatpants, usually rolled up. Instead of average shoes, Laura typically wears sandals.
Personality: Laura isn't very knowledgeable, but she is clever. She only knows a few spells that are heavily based on Dark type and Fighting type moves, but she tries to practice them with her Pokemon a few times a week so she gets better with them, and does not forget the knowledge.
Laura doesn't care much for strangers, and if someone she doesn't know very well acts over-friendly to her, she'll tend to avoid that person in the future. The longer she knows someone, the more she trusts them. Oddly enough, the longer she knows someone she considers an enemy, the more likely she'll stay near them and at least temporarily trust them if she's in a situation with people she doesn't know, or an incredibly dangerous area.
Background: Laura's parents were both employees of Silph Co. when they met. Her mother researched spells to create new, more advanced items for trainers to use. Her father had an unusually large amount of Flying and Water type Pokemon for a neko, and used them to transport goods from the factories to different Pokemarts across the region. Despite working in the same company for quite some time, their meeting was entirely by chance.
Once they had Laura, they found that they had no time for a child, with Laura's mother's job requiring long hours of plotting out schematics and new ways to combine technology and spells, while her father's job involved constant traveling.
In Laura's earlier years, she lived with a family friend in Lacunosa Town. That friend assigned one of her Pokemon, a Swanna named Maris, to look after Laura and make sure she didn't wander about outside after dark.
Laura and Maris got along relatively well. Their only disagreements were about how when Laura tried to stay out late at night and watch the stars, instead of letting her stay out Maris would grab Laura and fly her back to her house.
Once Laura reached thirteen years old, she recieved two things. A Keystone, and a letter requesting that Laura return to Saffron City, where her parents lived. Laura was reluctant at first, but after much urging from her guardian she and Maris took a portal to Saffron City.
Laura's life with her parents was awkward, and uncommunicative. When Laura reached 14 her parents hadn't made much headway in befriending their daughter, and Laura was still shy around them. It was then that Laura requested permission to go on a training journey over the summer. Her parents reluctantly agreed, and gifted her an Absol as a starter Pokemon.
Laura journeyed with the Absol, who she named Lucky, and Maris. She captured the rest of her party on her journey, before finally returning home. Her parents revealed that they were going to send Laura back to Unova, which Laura was overjoyed to hear. She returned, this time to Virbank City, and continued going to high school. Once she graduated, she started going to a local acting college, hoping to someday act in the films created in Pokestar Studios.
Pokémon:
Lucky-- Male Absol, Laura's official starter Pokemon. Spars with Laura to help her learn and use more effectively certain Dark type moves.
Auma-- Male Umbreon, holds Leftovers. Specializes in status moves.
Eric-- Male Scizor. Specializes in physical moves and priority attacks.
Mockingbird-- Female Roserade. Holds Black Sludge. Specializes in ranged attacks.
Kai-- Female Lopunny. Holds Lopunnite. Specializes in physical attacks, specifically punch based ones.
Raze-- Seadra. Holds Razor Claw. Specializes in ranged attacks.
Maris-- Female Swanna. First Pokemon Laura met. Has a motherly nature. Specializes in support tactics, but rarely uses moves. Holds Sitrus Berry.
Other: Laura isn't very experienced in physical combat, if physical combat means 'anything other than repeatedly using Knock Off, Sucker Punch, and Foul Play.' Because of this, ever since the Night of Bloodfall she's taken to keeping at least one, if not more of her party outside of their Carrying Crystals whenever possible. She usually keeps at least Maris out, since the Swanna can get rather overprotective and fussy sometimes.

My apologies for the lateness, I am Morzone of the prism league.
Name: Shawn Mazox
Gender: male
Species: angel
Age: 27
Team: The Prism League
Description: Shawn in 5'7" with dirty blonde hair, blue eyes. and not much muscle. He is skinny, and is usually wearing his preferred clothing: a sky blue jacket with a white T-shirt showing the IRDA(Inter-Regional Doctor's Association) symbol. The symbol resembles the caduceus of RL medical symbols, only instead on a winged staff the snakes are wrapped around a thin, vertical PPC. He wears running pants and keeps his back pack of medical supplies with him at all times. His wings are average sized and are generally kept folded unless he plans to fly with them.
Personality: Shawn is a person who puts his friends and pokemon before himself as much as possible. He is very protective of the things he treasures, whether it be a person, pokemon, or object. However, Shawn has trouble expressing his true feelings, especially to people he doesn't know, and will often say nothing despite having a good opinion. His pro-life views also give him an odd sense of humor, often finding something funny that others will not. Shawn is against fighting in any way, partly because he hates to see people be hurt, and because he is, deep down, afraid to get hurt himself. All in all, Shawn can be seen as an introvert with a mind of an extravert, he longs for friends, spotlight, trust, and action, but has trouble understanding and obtaining them.
Background:So Shawn was born in Lilycove City, Hoen. This is also where he spent his first childhood years, however both his parents were suffering from a dangerous illness, and they were forced to move to Celestic Town, Sinnoh. Unfortunately, Shawn's parents were not strong enough for the trip and died upon arrival. Shawn was taken in by the town doctor, a very old and wise man known as Shanze. Shanze was merfolk who lived in celestic town, he was famous in the nearby towns as a very skilled healer, but also was getting rather old and senile. Shanze took Shawn in and raised him, teaching Shawn everything he knew about medicine and healing magic. Shawn too, by the time he was 18, had become famous for his medical abilities due to what he learned from teaching, and his own personal vow never to let what happened to his parents happen to any one else.
Shanze however, had reached the end of his days when Shawn turned 19, and peacefully in his sleep. Shawn went to traveling around the different regions learning the most advanced healing and protection magic he could find. Many people, especially in Kanto and Johto, tried to convince him to learn to fight, but Shawn would always refuse saying: "I am a healer, not a destroyer."
While on his travels, Shawn was recruited to the IRDA, quickly becoming well renowned within its system.
Shawn eventually stationed himself back in his home region, in Celestic town, Sinnoh. He lived there for about a year, peacefully healing Pokemon and people alike, then came the night of blood fall.....
As for his connection to the prism league, He joined during the years of apprenticeship under Shanze. One of Shanze's mottos was: 'The most important thing a person can own is his identity.' Shawn followed this motto and joined the team he most identified with, which was the prism league. The prism league also supported him in his years of travel and when he became part of IRDA. Every now and then the prism league would ask for his medical advice, but as times were peaceful he wasn't bothered too much.
Pokemon:
Ruby (female luxray, his fighting Pokemon, a very powerful fighter in both ranged and physical attacks, holds a comet shard on a necklace)
Seth (male absol, weak compared to most absols, his scouting Pokemon, holds a quick claw on a necklace)
Crystal (female Audino, his healing Pokemon, hold a heal bell)
Other: Shawn does not fight, but when his enemy continues to attack, Ruby will act as his return attacks. Most of the time however, Shawn will use his shield magic to stop the first attack, then put his hands over his head to show he does not wish to fight. He will often refer to his healing/shield magic as his "hue." Shawn will generally keep all 3 of his Pokemon out of the crystals unless he is portal traveling. Oh, and he loves music, a lot.

Of course not. Keep an eye on this post for your mentions, or next one if more sign up.

I see no major problems here. You have the requirements and everything seems to be in order. It's a little short, but fine. You do not mention how she is tied to her team, but that's minor and can be worked out during the RP. You are APPROVED.
Shawn Mazox [Prism League] Morzone
You're almost there. I would just like to see more personality in an actual paragraph, and if possible his connection to his team. As I have said to other people, this can be worked out during the RP though. You are PENDING.

I apologize for the lack of personality information and information on his connection to the prism league, here's an updated version:
Personality: Shawn is a person who puts his friends and pokemon before himself as much as possible. He is very protective of the things he treasures, whether it be a person, pokemon, or object. However, Shawn has trouble expressing his true feelings, especially to people he doesn't know, and will often say nothing despite having a good opinion. Hopefully this will fulfill what you were looking for.

Points! Fair and unbiased. I'll post this in the official thread once one goes up, or someone can transfer it in my absence.
First and second place are honestly interchangeable. Really no surprise PB is getting these.
First: Grassy with creative use of technology in a magic setting. It exists but isn't really all that developed or widespread, but Grassy manages to have it program Porygons without sucking. A little boring, but I liked the detail and sarcasm on it.
Second: Neo for the first problems of the RP. I'm a sucker for action and explosions. That's really all I have to say about this.
Third: Morzone. Another one with action, and there's some suspense in there.
Honorable mentions: Definitely Sabi for somehow making a travel post not seem all THAT boring. You can probably get a couple of points next week once you get there. Post more often. :) LK I wish you were a little longer and double spaced, but overall it was an interesting post.
Eri had good length but the script really turns me off.

I'm surprised but happy I got an honorable mention. I really wasn't expecting to get mentioned at all. Most of the RPs I go into have really short posts, and usually if you go offline for an hour or so you suddenly have 20 pages to catch up on. One of the main reasons I'm trying out in this particular thread is I'm trying to work on getting out longer RP posts.
Okay, I'm going to try to aim for even longer next week. >:3
was it content or delivery ?
i think im gonna use 1st person on next one.
bronislav84
06-14-2015, 05:55 AM
Delivery. The delivery pretty much killed me wanting to even read the post past the second paragraph. Just going off length you probably would have had a shot at third place if not for the script format.
Daixtey Sorry, late entry. This will be counted for next week.
alright cool. ill make changes in the future.

Points! Fair and unbiased. Surprised there's nothing from Neo this week. I was expecting something explosive.
First: Grassy gets top marks again. The talking truck really had me laughing, but she also managed to have some serious technical stuff happen as well in those two posts. I liked the magic based electricity machine and the detailed description of that, even if it doesn't quite work how she wants yet. This character is just really creative and manages to surprise me. But then again Grassy always has been good at this sort of thing.
Second: Aiku. The explanation of killing the Chua and the way he just calmly wants to bury the dead was amusing. I also liked the "tell them yourself" bit. I'm a bit surprised you scored here, but the fact that he's all calm and collected in the midst of the dead and his explanation just made me like this post.
Third: purple umbreon. I liked the drama with her mother and it made me sad that she was so depressed but her daughter left her due to not understanding that this is needed. Kind of an emotional scene there.
Honorable mentions: Dammit I wish I could have given some points to Sabi for the yelling at Lance and the suspense at the end, but I feel that the child leaving home and the emotional scene by purple moved me more.
Daixtey was also pretty cool in putting out the fire. Not a lot happened in that post though.
Death's Spook I also considered you for third place, but then I realized that not a lot happened in your post either. I REALLY liked Michael's internal thoughts but I felt the home drama by purple was just emotional. If you could post more like that and the others don't or post uneventful stuff, you're sure to get points next week.

Hmm I wonder why I didn't get any points this week- oh yeah, its cause all I had were TRAVEL POSTS. God morzone stop being a really boring RP'er. sheesh.
Congrats to the three winners this week!

Don't get me wrong Mor, it was good length wise. Just travel posts are always boring and I was definitely bored. I read it all of course.

Its completely understandable and justified, I just wish I could've been a little more interesting with them, kinda like Sabi did in the first week. I still have next week (or I suppose its this week now) to get some action in.

Really Really sorry for double posting in the rp thread, but as Neo put it: the ball needs to keep rolling.
Also apologies to the phoenix battalion, it wasn't personal. You guys just have the most people and your all pretty good at RP, and team trainer already has to deal with NPCs complaining about their world order. Seriously sorry for the inconvenience.

Points! Fair and unbiased. Easy judging this week. Only three people posting, so all get points. I just gotta decide which I like more. I've decided that Grassy and Neo get interchangeable points again, and here's why. Now, while I see you two as tied I still have to choose who to give points to for official sake. Just know I liked the posts equally.
First: Grassy I liked the Dubious Disk thing. It was subtle, but the way it was implied was hilarious. It was also a cool twist that her machine was used in the attack, and the mechanical Pokemon being tested were interesting. Maybe you'll have time to get somewhere with that next week, maybe not.
Second: Neo you had you character almost catch the suspect, which was kind of suspenseful until your character got beaned on the head. Very interesting. Also liked the creative use of spells, though you used two in one of the posts. Not really an issue though since it wasn't PVP. Trainer seems to not actually be doing anything in terms of player characters. Sad, really.
Third: Morzone your post is suspenseful all around, but had me a bit confused. You also bunnied a bit in this quote.
The mechari doctor spun around in surprise as Shawn ran toward her. This is not for you to decide, sorry.
So were you trying to pin the blame on PB for the bomb attack by finding that insignia? This is confusing to me. Well written, but confusing. The confusion and the bunnying is why you're third. Well that and that Neo and Grassy just had me engaged more. But hey, you did good man.
Morzone
06-28-2015, 11:32 AM
Sorry about the confusion.
1st: sorry about the bunnying, I got caught up in trying to make the scene realistic as possible and forgot, won't happen again, I promise.
As for the insignia, I was trying to make it sound like someone related too PB did it, but not PB itself, (IE an extremist group who was part of PB but was acting on their own accord) It would've been cleared up some more in later posts, but I got busy and I can't update while I travel.
Also: is this rp going to continue after WAR ends? or not?
bronislav84
06-28-2015, 10:13 PM
If people want it will continue. Probably not. Not enough happening between the teams itself.
Oh I see, like a splinter group. You should have cleared this with Neo first since he's the leader, but thanks for the clarification.

I'd like to keep it going, but :P I've seen how that goes. I'm usually the last to post in the RP, and then no one else wants to participate...
Also, wow, first place all three weeks? I'm honestly surprised. I didn't even think first week was all that great on my end. Pohe's a fun character to write, and it helps she was based off a preexisting character (although, notably more morally skewed and a jerk), which means she's easy for me to write. I've enjoyed everyone else's posts as well, but I have to agree, this has not been a good WAR for anyone this year, I think, especially in RP.
It's been so slow, and for a WAR RP, that's... rather depressing, no? THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE EXPLOSIONS AND VIOLENCE.

It's been so slow, and for a WAR RP, that's... rather depressing, no? THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE EXPLOSIONS AND VIOLENCE.
I think some people found the premise confusing or intimidating. Others were terrified about their lack of "military knowledge" even though there really were no military presences in this at all (and even when there are, a tank is a tank, a gun is a gun. Dropping even the specific stuff like M1A2 Abrams into a Google image search will instantly tell you it's a tank). As far as this RP goes, for the little conflict there was, it was all PVE. I just don't think we had enough grounds for two good teams to fight each other, although attempts at it were made.
Last year, I think Team Aqua had the best approach. Everyone work on their desired projects or missions, and then, when it's time to attack, everyone gather everything they've worked on and acquired and collaborate with coordinated attacks. For me, it was fun, there was teamwork when there needed to be teamwork and not people clinging together just for the sake of it.

Honestly, Grassy and Neo you two tied all the previous weeks. I just had to choose a first and second for ranking sake, and Grassy just amused me a bit more than Neo. Except the week Neo didn't enter, of course.
As for the intimidating, yea I'm as a loss on that as well. When we made this we tried to simplify as much as possible while keeping the setting non-standard. Why it intimidated people I honestly have no idea and can't figure it out. Everything exists, just in different forms and names. If anyone wasn't sure, a simple question in this DT thread would have cleared everything up.
The big issue was that it rode heavily on having an evil team causing mayhem, and that didn't happen. Heck, if there was one there might be reason to continue past the point period as well.
Will be judging today sometime after 9pm EST, and even though I already know PB gets 5 this week, third is still up in the air for someone to grab. Does no team want a point? Every little bit helps.

Well, the good thingabout RPs is that there is always room for editing, so if it doesn't last as a WAR RP, which I think puts more pressure on people to begin with, you can figure out what you think would be good areas to change and repost the edited one and start over.

Got my final post in. Wasn't sure of the deadline, assumed midnight EST so XD I got it what, ~ 6 minutes before what I assumed to be the deadline? Totes awesome, man.
I didn't find this all that intimidating... Maybe.. Maybe we were the intimidating ones :O All the advanced RPers!
...And yes, Morzone, I did indeed name the truck Harley :P

I don't really understand how people can get intimidated by an rp, it just means you have to use a slightly different perspective one things. I posted in the RP, probably won't bump grassy or Neo out of the top 2 slots, but at least there's third. I also went back and edited out that bunnying in my last post, figured it was the right thing to do.
I myself would love to continue this rp after WAR ends. Admittedly, WAR is what got me on to PXR, so this RP and the prism league are my base to build off of. Plus I really love this rp, its SOOOO good. Maybe other people will come back and there will be more than 3 of us. :(

I'm not sure myself what some people find intimidating about RP, but it might be because I've been RPING since I was like 12. XD I know I have friends who are afraid of messing something up/people getting mad--I've heard stories about sites with elitist RPers, but we don't really have people like that around here.
Not sure about how this RP will turn out, but I assure you that most of the RP population here is pretty friendly, so don't be afraid to join in on other RPs.

Points! Fair and unbiased. Easy judging this week. Only three people posting again, so all get points again.
As for deadlines, the deadline I've been going by has been the end of Saturday which is definitely midnight as posted in the Judge SU. I've been usually finishing my judging slightly before that though. But It also says if you can make it in before the end of Saturday AND also before points are counted, you're fine. So you are.
Anyway, we got another Grassy and Neo tie. Wow, surprising? Nope. So I am deciding I liked the tragic death of the flying car slightly better.
First: Grassy. Like I said I thought the car's death was well written, and overall the way Pohe got hurt as well. The description of the damage there was great, and you shouldn't have worried too much about travel posts in the same region.
Second: Neo. I really really liked the creative use of shapeshifting which I would have been doing a lot of myself though differently. I also liked the fighting, and the inclusion of your Raichu. This is why you tied with Grassy again, and the ranks are just a formality really. I liked both your posts and PB collectively gets 5 points.
Third: Morzone. I liked the fighting in your post as well, but Neo and Grassy had you beat in both quality and quantity.
That's all folks! I enjoyed designing this world as well, and I wish I could have had the time to participate, as well as other things adding to not being able to that I wish hadn't happened. But meh, it turned out okay except for the fact that there was no PVP. Feel free to continue if you feel like it, but my work here is done. I've honored my commitment.

Maybe now that you don't have to judge the RP for WAR points, you can join in anyway. :) Something tells me that the more people join the better the survival chances of the RP.

Unfortunately it would require too much of a rewrite of my character from before I had to switch teams, and I take like a week to come up with a new character. I don't think it will continue with or without me, even if players do have loose ends to wrap up. But they're welcome to, of course.
