It can be either something you saw at the theater recently, or a movie you saw on TV/Netflix/Red Box or whatever. :P
Last movie I saw was Mad Max: Fury Road last week. If you like crazy, post-apocalyptic themed games and movies like Borderlands, Fallout, and that kind of thing, you'll love this one. Or, if you saw the original Mad Max movies, this one is a great homage to those, but don't expect to have any continuity from those in terms of storyline and timeline. It's probably best to just watch Mad Max: Fury Road as a whole new thing and not try to connect it with the three older movies.

I plan to see the older ones eventually but I haven't seen any of them, including the new one. xD
I think the most recent movie I watched was Music and Lyrics. xD Good movie. Haven't seen it in ages. It's ten years old now!

I saw the first Mad Max and it was pretty graphic and gross. I don't really have any desire to watch the new one. xD
I watched The Avengers yesterday because a friend of mine is insisting we watch all the marvel movies in order. I've never seen them before, but I guess everyone loves Iron Man.

I watched Mad Max Fury Road last Tuesday. Thoug I enjoyed it, I was offered a free ticket and went more for the social aspect of hanging out with peeps.
Then on Friday night, I watched Big Hero 6 for the first time. Really liked it!

I've been really wanting to see the new Mad Max movie, although I haven't watched the older ones. o-o' I think the last movie I saw was Age of Ultron in theaters, which I thought was a little sub par compared to the first Avengers to be honest. :>

Pitch Perfect 2 a few days ago. It was so much like the prequel but completely better with more comedy and more Rebel Wilson! I loved it from start to finish and I'm so gonna rewatch it until the medleys are stuck in my head. xD

Inside Out. Was. Incredible.
I cried at least three times. It was so good. I think it's such a fantastic idea, filled with brilliant metaphors and symbolism. It's a child's movie with a strong message. <3 And Amy Poehler. <3

Saw Ted 2 yesterday.
I would say it's not as good as the first one, but if you want a second helping of the same crude humor that the first one had, it'll deliver a decent share of it. I honestly wouldn't push anyone to rush to go see it in theaters, but if does have plenty of chuckle moments if you're starving for some. It's definitely one of those movies you can wait to see on Netflix.

I finally got around to watching The Matrix for the first time the other weekend. I thought it was entertaining, but flawed.
lol, I haven't even heard of the movies being talked about in the last few posts. Shows how little I go to the movie theater.

I watched 'In Your Eyes' the other night as I was slightly down, and needed my once in a blue moon dose of corny romantic movies. Didn't mind it too much. Got pretty weird at some points. The lead actress was worth looking at though ;)

I'm that way with sports. :P
Also, I find it hard to believe The Matrix is already 16 years old. Anyway, if you enjoyed The Matrix, you might enjoy The Matrix Reloaded for the burly brawl and highway scenes, but skip Revolutions and just fantasize your own ending.

The last movie I saw was San Andreas. I've done what I can to hide spoilers since it's still in theaters :P
Now, it wasn't bad at all! I quite enjoyed all of the action scenes!
...But... I'm getting rather tired of everyone dragging in "family issues" and "rediscovering love" into disaster movies, and not only that, but it was extremely predictable on what was going to happen next. That's not to say not all movies did it wrong, it's just becoming such a norm now that it's getting rather irritating. Into The Storm had this, but other plotlines as well - although that movie suffered from "WE HAVE TOO MANY PEOPLE TO FOLLOW IN DIFFERENT PLACES" syndrome, so it felt disorganized, whereas this movie was much more organized. 2012 was a fun romp with surprising twists, The Day After Tomorrow, while having some issues that were present in San Andreas, I felt just pulled it off more notably.
Also, Twister, which started the disaster genre (or is at least considered to be the huge contributor, way back in 1996), did not have these. Heck, it wove a love story in that was a sub plot. The main plot was trying to get a device into a tornado, and all the misfortune that happens afterwards. What made it was how convincing and diverse the characters are, and even if I don't know all their names after 20+ views (some of them flat out aren't named!), they're memorable.
And that's where San Andreas ultimately fell flat. "The Rock" felt...rather off in this movie, like his acting wasn't top notch. Two characters that come in a bit later in the story are pretty awesome, and they're memorable (so is the daughter of the main character). The wife of the main character was kinda there, and another character that I shall not name for plot reasons (although it becomes apparent in the first like, 20 minutes), he was not all that memorable.
The biggest issue here, however, and I'll hide it for spoilers, is that
"The Rock"'s main role is part of California's Fire Department. In fact, he's the pilot of the helicopter. The movie goes through a huge deal at the very beginning of this job, showcasing several of his coworkers, one even nearly getting killed on a rescue. They come back, yadda yadda, some interaction with one of them, and then later on when all heck breaks loose they're completely gone. He's flying out to refuel the helicopter ON HIS OWN. His entire crew? The fact he worked for the Fire Department? It is completely and utterly dropped. Heck, the Fire Department doesn't even really do anything in this! He never gets back in contact with them! This is such a sin - it's such a dropped plot point it was staring me in the face.
I kept waiting through the entire movie for his crew to show up again, but it never happened. Why go through the point of showing all of this off if you don't use it? It's "Chekhov's gun" done wrong - the rifle was put on the wall, loaded up, but never fired. This is not good storytelling and was a glaring problem on the movie.
Recommended: Yes, but take many of the scenes with a grain of salt, be prepared to see some extensive cliches and dropped plot points, and some of the acting feels incredibly off. However, it's pretty fun for all the action scenes! One can never get too tired of everything going to heck. I will readily recommend Twister (tornadoes!), 2012, (EVERY DISASTER POSSIBLE) and The Day After Tomorrow (global warming gone berserk) first, however. Into The Storm (more realistic Twister at the cost of sidelining said tornadoes for human interaction) is a maybe, although I admit I'm incredibly biased with my love for Twister on that movie and demands a rewatch from me first.

Okay, so, I went and saw my first R-rated movie tonight, which is a big deal for me because my parents wouldn't let me see anything above PG until I was 15. So, I was really excited to figure out what people found so funny about R movies. I saw Spy and it was really funny. It brought a little reality to the whole spy thing. At first I was thinking this was going to be another James Bond movie where the guy gets everything perfect but that quickly changed shortly after we got about five minutes into the film. Really, it was hilarious, it was so stupid, but I loved it other than the one scene with the camera. Which, I'm warning you guys ahead of time, when they're looking through the camera in the CIA building, there's thing on there. Things. Other than that, if you like stupid movies where everyone is stupid, this is a really good movie.

So, my parents made me watch this movie called 16 Candles today. I'd never heard of it and upon further research I found out the movie was made in 1984, which explains why I had never heard of it given I was born almost fifteen years later. Anyway, the film is rated PG and pretty much tells the tale of a girl whose sister is getting married the day after the girl's sixteenth birthday. All she wants for her birthday is the boy she likes to get with her, but she thinks there isn't any chance. On top of that, because of the wedding, everyone forgets the girl's birthday. It's actually really funny, but the thing that baffled me was that it was rated PG. Like, I get that the rating system wasn't quite up to date yet during that time (which concerns me because the James Bond movies from that time are all rated R and if this was rated PG with what all it had in it then what do those Bond films have in them?), but Jesus man. I mean we had the f word, we had boob shots, we had other curse words, we had sex talk, we had drugs, and we had drunken people everywhere. I mean geez, how what that rated PG? But I digress. Overall, it was a really funny movie and I'm glad I watched it. Though, I think the best part was the fact that it was a VHS tape, so when I was talking to all my friends about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. XD

I think I was a bit too drunk or something. I got like super emotional watching this movie, which is a heartwarming tale about a girl who went from a complete idiot to a girl who made it into one of the top universities in Japan. ;w;

Spectre--if this is Daniel Craig's last run as James Bond, he goes out with a bang. A very exciting movie that has fear, heart, and a little bit of thought provoking. (that's without giving too much away)

Mockingjay Part 2
Well, they redeemed themselves by actually staying fairly accurate to the book this time, unlike its predecessor that pretty much only stuck to plot points. However, there is a large part of me wishes they hadn't. With only a few things inaccurate, and some I can forgive them for due to an actor's suicide, I was praying throughout the entire film that my favorite character wouldn't die.
When Beetee didn't even go on the mission and when the propo team was set up differently, I had a strong hope that Finnick would live. Yet, this was not meant to be. As soon as they entered the sewers, I started to cry and shake. The people beside me found out earlier during the film that any time this occurred, something was going to happen. I kept praying and praying that he wouldn't be killed, but… it wasn't meant to be. And I knew there was no use in hoping Prim's death could be avoided, but part of me hoped for that too.
Overall, I'd give this movie a 7.5/10 when it came to book to movie accuracy and a 8/10 for how well the movie was done overall.

I watched Love, Rosie last night. It got a bit annoying by the end when EVERYTHING just kept going wrong, but it was kind of cute and funny. Enjoyed it overall.
Jurassic World. basically. got it on iTunes and used it to entertain me while I await the fated day when The Force Awakens comes out into theaters. already preordered my tickets to see it in IMAX 3D, because that's only the best way to watch a Star Wars film.

Saw part two of Mockingjay yesterday. It was pretty good & much better than the first half.
As someone who hadn't read the book (I read the first one and more than half the second; never got to the last) it was fun predicting things, even if a lot of what I predicted came true. Even the fact that Peeta would live. I do not like Peeta; he bugs me and I really dislike the romance between him and Katniss. It feels like every action/fantasy/dystopian movie/book series with a strong female lead HAS to have romance incorporated into it. I probably would've tolerated him more if he and Katniss weren't more than friends/allies.
Anyway, Coin's death was very satisfying to see. Rue's, on the other hand, not so much. Poor Katniss ;;

Same here, it was definitely great. The origin story felt a little drawn out and I would have liked to see more of the insane kind of action they had on the highway and the wrecked aircraft carrier, but it was still really good and I enjoyed it. I would definitely welcome another without a doubt.
Also, it was rated R. If parents were dippy enough to bring their kids to it and then complain about the inappropriateness of the movie, they should have looked.

I agree! The action at the beginning was absolutely insane and incredible. XD I love how fast-paced it was, but unlike many movies, you could still tell what was happening despite the fast-pacing. Oh yes, I'd love another, too. xD I really liked the 'inhuman strength' fight between the metal dude and that angry lady. And also the moody teen's fire abilities were awesome!
Really? It was only MA here. Oh no. We're so irresponsible! I thought it should have been R rated, but...guess not. xD Then again, you guys have X rated and I think we don't, so perhaps it's MA to accommodate for your X-rated movies which are our R-rated ones or something.

X-rating was changed to NC-17, which is equal to being rated R. But yeah, if it's rated R, that means no one under seventeen can be admitted without a parent. I mean heck, as (wonderfully) inappropriate as the Deadpool movie is, it's actually a whole lot cleaner than stuff like Game of Thrones on HBO where they don't even ask before showing nudity/rape/incest, grizzly violence, and a whole lot of colorful profanity.

Yeah, having seen and enjoyed Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2, I would like to know how the storyline continues. It was rated well, but the only problem is it seems awkward to be an adult male, going to the theater by yourself to see what could be considered a kid's movie. I'll have to see if a friend of mine is interested in it as well.

Yeah I know how it is. I just don't wanna see it alone mainly. Watching any movie alone feels....odd enough. Kids movie or not I see it how I see the Pokemon series now. I like it, it's good, but it's set to meet a standard. Oh well I'll see it eventually one way or another.

I watched Kung Fu Panda 3 this last Sunday, and I have to say it wraps up a great triliogy very nicely, it's very well made, and couldn't find any major flaws. I'd give it a 9/10 just because I don't give anything perfect scores, especially not without a second opinion on the matter.

Just saw London Has Fallen because I was really in the mood for an action movie and I have free movie passes. Plus they've been advertising it everywhere, so I figured eh, why not? It's great if you're looking for a movie with lots of gunfights, action, car chases, explosions, and edge of your seat action. And Morgan Freeman. It's NOT a good movie if you're looking for something that actually feels believable and realistic, because this certainly wasn't by a long shot. This made it look like terrorists have a bigger military spending budget than most first world countries combined and so much dumb luck that I was almost surprised Smaug and Megatron didn't randomly show up to help them out.
But if you're just looking for crazy action and stuff like that like I was, you'll leave satisfied. :)

adfsfdfs, double post, I know, but no one cares.
Believe the buzz you've probably heard about Zootopia, I just saw it and it's a FANTASTIC movie that I'd recommend for anyone. I don't know what little voice told me to just get off my butt and see it, but I'm glad I did and it's a fun, hilarious, and very creative movie with great characters and awesome animation. Definitely a must see no matter what age you are (and there are actually quite a few references that only an adult would get).
