I do like the Bulbasaur lineless, but the fact that you colored the outlines to be pretty light on its bulb and chin make it look as if it has a backlight...which, actually, is a neat effect. Lineless sprites are actually a cool way to play with a more painterly style of pixel art, focusing on shapes and form instead of lines. This being said, why not try some more of those?

I also agree with Xanthe in the GSS thread to try to emulate a pattern on a Pokemon's body. Stripes are great, like she said, because they have to follow the Pokemon's form in order to be effective! :D

I was quite surprised at how good Charmander turned out as that is a Gen 1 sprite and I just love how Weepinbell turned out....Cresselia meh I dono about that one.

So I decided to try something different and try and do a lineless Dream World picture. I picked an easy one with Ditto as I had no idea how this would even turn out but I have to say it came out a lot better than I thought it would. :D

They both look like a green turd to me...lol. I think it's just the fact that ones laying down and the other is standing up.

I rather like lineless sprites. Or any kind of artwork for that matter. Just like in real life, it forces you to look at the relation between light and shadows.

That's sort of about how I feel with Metapod, but some people when it comes to designs like each on to fit the description of the gen it's being drawn/designed for. Either way they look the same. Pikachu on the otherhand, has changed a lot xD

A devamp is taking a newer gen sprite and coloring it with the older gen colors. So taking a Black and White sprite and coloring it with say the R/B/Y colors.
