Here you can discuss Fall Anime, and make recommendations. If you feel that the anime is popular enough to warrant its own thread then you may create one for that. (i.e. Owari no Seraph may make use of its own thread because we are now on season 2 and it's fairly popular for both an anime and manga!).

What is everyone watching? What have you dropped and why? What has met your expectations or gone beyond them? Can't wait to see your thoughts <3

I'm watching so many anime shows I don't know how I'm going to keep up with them all lol:

Heavy Object - first episode was alright but it got so good during episode 2 and so forth. It's quite hilarious and I'm enjoying it. If you like mecha then you might like this show.
Haikyuu season 2: So much love I died the first episode!
K Project season 2: Obsessing over this besides Heavy Object <3. You have to watch the movie first to understand what's going on. I didn't until like half way through episode 1.
Comet Lucifer: Too cute I just love it.
Owari No Seraph season 2: Enough said Yoichi Saotome <3.
High School Star Musical: I don't know why I'm still watching it maybe for the character design. It's just really awkward lol.
Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou So funny you guys need to watch this!
Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru: For some reason I really enjoy this mystery anime show.

I still need to watch Noragami season 2.

すべてがFになる (Subete ga F ni Naru) is the only anime I'm watching this Fall. It's an adaptation from a mystery novel released in 1996. I don't believe the novel has been translated into English, sadly. :[

I tried watching that one and disliked it because it was so intensely serious. I like Beautiful Bones a lot more! Maybe check that one out if you enjoy mystery.

I want to read Nogi Wakaba wa Yusha de Aru because there's a really cute girl in it. <3

Okay, I took the time to watch the first episodes of Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai and Gakusen Toshi Asterisk.

Did anyone else think the two episodes were extremely similar and/or formulaic? Also the whole accidental pervert thing is getting really old.

Haven't heard this. I'm pretty big fan of the mystery series. Only one I've really gotten into though is Detective Conan. Stuck with it ever since I first watched it back in 05. Completely caught up in the manga now, though Viz seems to want all fan translations to go away sadly.

One Piece is the only one I read now. I do need more tbh.

I need to have a look at the list for this fall. Whenever I get some free time I definitely want to check out some new anime (or returning series for their new season).

I am only watching Asterisk out of the two. BUT moving forward in order for you to enjoy it you have to be accepting of the fact that it won't break any records, it won't be ground breaking with new plot devices and character development, and it won't drop the anime tropes we know and love (do we love them?). The anime is fun to watch because it's colourful, the characters are cute (except Claudia), and it's a mix of silly and MC power! It also has harem aspects so if you hate the accidental pervert thing then brace yourself.

If you want a (possibly) ground breaking anime then you're best bet from this season is Beautiful Bones imo. It has a bit of our beloved anime tropes, but it's lining itself up for a ton of character development, it's got neat animation, and the characters are simple yet cute as well. It's a mystery though so you have to be interested in that genre to enjoy!

Hmmm, I do not mind the generic-ness. The plotlines of both intrigue me. But I hate all the perverted stuff they keep putting in there. It's so... unnecessary.

Doesn't bother me! I watch anything from Zankyou no Terror to Prisma Illya. I can understand some people find it uncomfortable. I guess I must just be used to it.

Asterisk? Not worth it. You're better off watching Rakudai Kishi. It has better characters, and an overall better plot. It also has a transgender character, which is fun! So, I recommend it over Asterisk. Give it a go, but both kinda start out the same. =/ So, in my opinion, it's your pick whether you do one or the other.

Fair enough. I haven't decided if I want to keep going with Asterisk or not.

In other news, I'm still very much into Ace of Diamond. Baseball is so cool.

I wouldn't say Asterisk isn't worth it. For someone who thoroughly enjoys pretty animation, character design and a good ED it's a nice anime to watch. I doubt it's on top of anyone's list this season but it is entertaining! The female lead is extremely cute as well.

If people need a good anime I'd skip everything else and jump to Beautiful Bones, or Noragami S2 (obvi watch S2 first if need be). One Punch is popular as well but I am not watching it. If you like comedy/action then def give One Punch a go.

I haven't been watching anything new from this season yet, but I'm totally going to check out some of the anime that people have suggested here. So many to chose from though...

My current favorite anime of the season is definitely K Return of Kings, though, and not without its reasons. I love the story so far, and how Anna is super important (because Anna is me, okay. I'm Anna Kushina). I won't spoil anything, but I really do enjoy this season for what its worth, more than season one AND the movie. I've only ever wanted to see Anna in action, and that's exactly what I got~.

No love for Noragami Aragoto here yet? let me change that because it is something that cannot be missed. it's already on Episode 7 and the awesomeness must be seen to be believed.

...also, be prepared for feels. it is all over the place with them this season. As with the first season, great Characters, great plot and development and a good story.

Also would recommend Owari no Seraph season 2, but it would seem I've been beaten to that one already. xD

I started watching Noragami Aragoto, but I stopped. Not because it's bad, but I have a tendency to not watch anime I've already read the manga of because I know what'll happen. Awesome as the series is, I just can't keep up with it :c

I've also contemplated trying One-Punch Man, though it might be quicker for me to read the manga.

So far just Owari no Seraph. The anime finally caught up to where I left off in the manga, so now I can start watching for Madopire~ (Krul).

I'm so far ahead in 1-punch man that I'm not actively watching it.

Watching...

Sunday: Onsen Yousei Hakone-chan: It's cute... but the episodes being only three minutes makes it very disappointing.

Concrete Revolutio: I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. Needless to say, it's pretty dark, so I'm pretty sure... that's probably why?

Tuesday: Hidan no Aria AA: A very... nothing happening spinoff/prequel. It's just not very interesting, imo.

Wednesday: Shomin Sample: Easily my favorite this season, and not without reason. The comedy is so funny... ahaha, poor Kimito, though.

Thursday: Lance N' Masques: I never know what's going on in this show, ever.

Friday: K Return of Kings: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That is all.

Noragami Aragoto: This anime is sad, much sadder than season one.
):

Hacka Doll: Fun anime, but not all plots work themselves out. =/

Saturday: Gakusen Toshi Asterisk: Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Generic, and I don't like it. Pretty colors, though.

Owari no Seraph Kessen-hen: I'm wondering if it'll "overtake the manga", but it doesn't seem like it will.

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry: Honestly, I wanted this anime to be given more than it received. =/

That's about it.

I'm watching Arc V, too, but idk what to say.

Anybody here see the first block of Digimon Adventure Tri? I'm not going to say much to avoid spoilers because I want to blabber my mouth off about it right now as I just finished seeing all four episodes, but to give a three word description: Awesome nostalgia overload. The first four episodes are up on Anime4You and it must be seen to be fully enjoyed.

I feel like I've just met some very old, very dear friends whom I haven't seen in quite a while. I absolutely loved this. It was everything I wanted out of a new Digimon story. I really enjoyed the slower and more thoughtful pacing and how much more cerebral this was. Lot of good references to the original Digmon series as well, which was very welcome.

I love how the characters are not living up to their crests. Tai isn't courageous, Matt isn't acting like a friend, Joe isn't reliable, etc. They're really fleshing out the characters out.

Also the fight between Omnimon and Alphamon was awesome.

All of this I agree with. You've also gotta give credit to the animation style, especially during the evolution and battle sequences. I just think it's simply glorious, really. it's like a high def version of the style Adventure 01 and 02 used; with newer techniques giving all the characters a fresh look. it's perfect.

I need to watch Tri at some point, though it might be a little weird for me since I never finished the original Digimon Adventure :c Still, from what I've been seeing people are enjoying it, so that's all the more reason for me to check it out~
