Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Ah, I love long names. It's a show about four super mutant turtles who live in the sewers of NY. They are ninjas, and fight to keep the city safe(?). There are a lot of cartoons, and it's based off comics. We have:

*The original 1987 cartoon.
*A live action series (with a girl turtle, it got cancelled).
*The 1996 anime. (It's really bad, though.)
*The 2003 cartoon, it follows the comic. There are a few more that came around in this incarnation, up until 2008.
*Live Action movies.
*The new, 2012 CGI cartoon.

Much more.

The turtles: (I CAN'T SPELL): Michelangelo, Raphael, Donitello(?), Leonardo.

There's also April O'Neal, and Master Splinter.

How does this TMNT compare to the older ones? Its hard to keep up with new generations. The 80s turtle were none threatening and playful.
Are you watching the new TMNT? Ive seen a couple of episodes here and there.
