When it comes to dropping, do you have a policy? Or do you not drop anime? What was the last anime you dropped?

I usually drop a show if:

--nothing interesting happens in the first episode (example: Lucky Star--I fell asleep waiting for something interesting to happen)
--the characters rub me the wrong way (example: Magi--some of the non-villain characters, and even some villains in that show were flat out jerks) and/or flat out scare me
--the plot is confusing (Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V started out great, and I actually got a good ways in, but then it got very confusing very fast)
--the show is just plain boring
--overboard on romance/fanservice
--something overly graphic/frightening/explicit occurs that isn't important to the story (I can tolerate animated violence a little more than live action violence, but I do draw the line at this point in either form. In some cases, a graphic scene can be a powerful moment in a story (examples: Maes Hughes in FMA, Kanade's death in Symphogear), but if you're gonna just graphically kill someone for no reason other than just because you can, I'm gonna click away.)
--the villain is a little TOO scary

That said, I will bend my first episode rule if the second episode looks interesting, but if still nothing interesting occurs

^Arc-V is in no way confusing; the heck are you talking about???????? @______@ (Granted, depending on how far you got I can see how you might find it to be that way. However, things are explained later and the plot becomes pretty damn blatant. Besides, it's an anime targeted at children; if they made it confusing then kids wouldn't be able to follow what's going on and stop watching.)

tbh I seldom drop animanga—it's more like, "eh i'm too lazy to catch up". I tend to fall behind on animanga (especially anime), so I end up not continuing. As for actually dropping, I usually give something up to a few episodes/chapters. If I dislike it, I'll stop then and there.

I drop it if it fails the three episode test, or if the anime reaches a point where I'm just going "WTF" every moment (like Shinsekai Yori, Attack on Titan) and/or I just cba'd to continue watching it because it's not doing anything for me.

Most shows that I've stopped watching are merely on hold. For some titles, I've put them on hold for years. I fully intend on resuming them, though it'll be later rather than sooner.

The only shows I've actually dropped are long-running shounen titles. I simply can't be arsed to keep up with them.

My rule of thumb is that I watch three episodes then decide if I'm going to go through with a series. If I've been told that the series takes a while to get started and the first three episodes weren't painfully boring, I might extend that to five episodes.

I don't drop animes. More like put them on hold. I don't have time in life to constantly watch anime, so if it's easier to obtain and watch one anime than it is another, or if one anime is more interesting to me than another, then I suspend the current one and jump to another. I don't actually like doing that though, but I do have a log of every anime I'm watching, what episode I'm on, and whether I'm watching sub or dub, as well as what site I'm getting them from. I've never had to drop an anime before because I think that's disrespectful, but to be fair, I usually look into the anime's plot prior to me watching it to see if I think it will be interesting to me or not.

I only usually drop an anime if it becomes boring, or if I don't enjoy it after three episodes. The only two I've dropped so far have been Psycho-Pass, because it didn't go in a direction I enjoyed, and Darker than Black, because the second season wasn't that great compared to the first.
