If anyone remembers the old Tips & Tricks magazines, you might remember the "pencil puzzles" they had in the back of the magazines. They'd usually have about 2 per issue. They looked something like this (http://gamelosers.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/IMG_65391.jpg) and this. (http://thefreecheese.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/tips-tricks-pencil-puzzle.jpg)
They're time-wasters, and they really aren't "puzzles" at all. Please also note that they do not relate to nonograms / picross in any way.
This is exactly how it looks: fill in the squares in each cell according to where they're labelled to go. I used to love these things. Recently I really wanted to do some, and was sad to find that there really aren't that many copies out there. :\ Not blank ones, anyway.
So I decided to create a template based on their online blank "Pencil Puzzles" template:

These ARE print-friendly! When making the template yesterday, I made sure to make everything at a easy-to-manage scale and one that stays true to the original T&T format. I actually did measurements and after several tries I finally concluded that 8x8 squares will work just fine. You can do these digitally, sure, but imho they're much more fun to print out and do with pen or pencil.
You can either download the images or print them directly from their links. I would download them first if I were you, though, just for simplicity's sake.
Here's the first three I've made thus far:

Directions for Printing Method
Copy the image into any image editing software or download it directly.
Open the file if you opted to download. Go to your printer settings and go to your Page Setup options.
Under "Scaling", there are two bubbles. select the one that says "Adjust to x% of normal size". That percent should be at 100%.
Print, let dry, and enjoy! Might not be good if you have low black ink.
